I had Mr. Rooter out in October to have the main drain in the house cleared.  We were having the same problem today so I called Mr. Rooter back.  Lisa answered the phone and was extremely helpful and apologetic with our issue.  The technician came out fast, within an hour of my call, and re-cleared the main drain honoring their warranty!  Thank you for doing what you say you will!

Charged $120 for a free quote to look at a bathtub pipe leak. They unscrewed 4 screws from a board to look at the pipe behind a board. Quoted me two quotes: the right way and wrong way (over 5 times the cost of what they verbally quoted me on a prior visit for a separate issue) to resolve the issue. I declined both options but still had to pay for the quote - due to the 4 minutes it took to unscrew the board and put it back.

If you take out a credit line with them (or technically their financial partner), your repair costs will suddenly ballon up to the maximum of your credit limit.

Two stars because the receptionist was so sweet and professional when we called to clarify a complaint! The manager (Brian, Brad? Not sure. He wouldn't repeat his name when asked.) was very unprofessional. Admittedly my husband was upset and dropped some profanities but his tone was level so it's not like he was popping off on the guy who spoke to him like it was a school yard fight and ended up hanging up on him. They overcharged, didn't thoroughly explain the charges, and did not show the video footage upon request. Rather, the tech said well, I just put everything away... when my husband requested to see it. Go somewhere else instead.

I called them out for a floor drain that was plugged.  They were scheduled for the first job the following day.  They showed up just before noon.   The tech painted a picture that it would take a hydro jet over a cable to get the job done.  He quoted almost $700 and had me sign some forms on an ipad. He did give me a coupon that got it down to $625.    Reading the fine print on the ipad would have taken longer than the job itself.  Between the sales pitch, setting up the job, completing the job and putting his equipment away, it was 45 minutes.   After the fact, I called a competitor and was quoted $135 per hour.  PLEASE learn from me.  Save your money and call someone/anyone else.  I gave them 1 star because the did get the drain unclogged.

Worst experience ever. Cancelled the first appointment and never showed for the second. I called to complain while waiting all day the second day and the receptionist got an attitude with me. I will NEVER deal with this company again.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, they deserve 0 stars !!! Scam artists, they came out and quoted 625.00 to change an outside faucet.  When I laughed at 625.00  he dropped the price to 400.00, then dropped to 300.00 to which I still rejected .  I called a competitor and got it done for 150.00.

I would have given this organization a zero but they never showed up so could not rate their service. Asked for emergency service due to having a gas leak and three days later they called and said they now had a technician available.
Initially had to badger them to get updates but  by the second day they were calling with updates the technician was still busy.  We waited around for three days.
If you need help, do not use Rooter Organization.  If you have nothing but free I guess you could try your luck.

Had some plumbing issues yesterday so caller Mr Rooter and they could not guarantee to come out as it was later but they scheduled me the next day between 10:00 and 12 noon. I got a call about 11:45 saying they were running late. Got another call about 1:00, same thing.  Then another call around 2:00 or so, same story.  Then a little after 4:00 I called them and then they told me they cannot come out at all, and they never bothered to contact me to let me know .  What a lousy way to run a business.  They asked me if I wanted to re-schedule for the next day----- are you kidding me ?  Why would I want to do any business with a company that in my opinion is not reputable and has awful customer relations !  I will NEVER call them again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

First off, I must say that the people who answer the phone at Mr Rooter are extremely pleasant and professional. It was no problem when I asked to change the appointment window (two-hour window) and to reschedule my appointment for the next day. I spoke with several people during the scheduling process and all were extremely pleasant.

Second, Patrick, the technician, showed up exactly as scheduled. He was extremely professional and gave me an estimate that I agreed to before he began the repair work. He successfully fixed a toilet, resolved a water pressure issue, and installed a new shower head. He also pointed out an issue that could require service in the future. I opted not to have it done immediately.

I think the price was reasonable based upon work performed.

I would recommend Mr Rooter and wouldn't hesitate to contact this business again.

The workers that came out to my house were very nice, professional and fast to fix my problem.  But their manager Adam is terrible. I called 4 days in A row 2-3 times a day to get the video and pictures of the pipes they worked on for my insurance company and they never got back to me. Then randomly after calling for days I am woken up by two men from mr rooter on my roof getting pictures and videos of my pipes because they lost the footage. They did not let me know they were coming, they did not have permission to go on my roof and they did not have permission to come on my property. Called to talk to a manager as to why there were men at my house and did not get a phone call back or response until I called again and threatenes the BBB then all of a sudden im on hold to talk to the manager Adam.  He did not apologize for not calling me back for 5 days and blamed everyone else that worked there as to why He didn't call me back.

What's crazy is a I got phone calls and voicemails daily for the last week asking when i Want them to come out to do a $16000 job. So you can call me non stop to get money but can't call me back about videos and pictures from a job that I had already paid for? this company is a big scam,  they don't care about you as a customer unless you are giving them money right then and there. Also I got other plumbers and contractors to come out and look at my pipes, they said that it would cost not even a third of what mr rooter quoted me. Huge scam of a company and their manager Adam is terrible at his job and with customers.

Phone service was excellent.  Appreciate the e-mail updates when a technician was assigned and on the way.  Despite being a busy holiday time they were able to get out quickly for our emergency situation.  The only downside was that the first truck on-site was not equipped to handle our particular situation, so we had to wait for a second truck to be dispatched.  The wait time for that was once again quicker than expected and once on-site that technician understood the problem and resolved it.

I would give zero stars if possible. Had a water leak on my water main to the house under the brick porch. Got a few different quotes, between $3500-$4500. Mr. Rooter quoted $7,000!?!?!? OUTRAGEOUS!! They try to sell you on financing to help you out. I, fortunately, did not go with them, but I got a much better company that did not have to bust up the sidewalk to run the water line like Mr. Rooter said they would have to do ( part of the $7,000 quote). Do NOT use this company. They will rip you off. I used Alternative Plumbing. Much better price. They used a directional boring machine to run the line. Started at 8 am, done by 1 pm. Professional, friendly, and affordable. Almost a year, no issues, no leaks. I would not trust Mr. Rooter to change a valve handle on my garden hose.

First they don't arrive even close to an hour as stated in their advertisement ,in my case they never arrived. It would have been nice for a call stating that there was a problem. If there was a half star that's what I give them. I should have check yelp before relying on their advertising.

I live across the state line in Michigan. When I called to set up an appointment I made sure they knew this. I was assured they service this area. Technician arrived on time, we talked about my backed up floor drain and he gave me a price of $900-something to hydro clean the drains. When I hesitated, he dropped it to 675 or so. I reluctantly agreed & he said he had to get gas for his truck then go back and get a different truck because he didn't have the right equipment to do this job. Said would take about half hr. An hour and a half later I called, then had to wait for a manager to call me back. When he did, I was told the tech would be there in an hour, that a truck was down and that he would drop another $40 off the price.  15 mins later I got a call from the receptionist stating you have to call Mr Rooter of Michigan. We don't go out that way. I said, what are you talking about, you were already here?? She said yes, but we're not coming back. What a horrible way to do business. I wasted many hours of my day waiting for these jerks.

Would probably give a zero on customer service if I could. Contacted them at 7:00 am. Set appointment for 3:00-5:00 pm window.  Knowing that I would have to take a half vacation day from work to meet them. At 5:00 they called and said their plumber was running late and couldn't give a time when he would be there. Called back an hour later with the same information. Could not give any idea of ETA. At 7:15 called again and said that they are still waiting to hear from a plumber to assign to my job. They advertise how they are such a reputable company and professional however professionals don't leave their customers hanging for 4 hours especially when you have to take off work to adapt to their schedule.

I had a flood in my basement. On top of that my sewer line was backfilling. As a result I was not able to use the water in my house. So I called Mr rooter to set an appointment. They said they would be here the next day on a Saturday which was nice. At the end of the 2-hour window they gave me for an appointment they called me to tell me they would not be able to make it out that day but that I would absolutely be the very first person on their list the next morning. Again at the end of the 2-hour window they gave me they called to tell me they would not be able to make it out that day. At this point I have not been able to run water in my house for 3 days including the toilet, the shower, laundry, dishwasher etc. These people are unreliable. Do not call them for an appointment. They will not keep it. They will leave you stranded. They are not reliable. I wish there was a way to leave less than one star. These people prey on folks in an emergency as a standard business model. Unacceptable.

Mr Rooter was called to repair/replace broken sewer drains under home with slab floor. They said a concrete saw would be used to access pipes. Next thing they have a jack hammer which is shaking whole house. In doing all this my HVAC ducts were broken and the vent duct for my dryer was crushed. Spray foam was used around pieces used to repair HVAC ducts. This seeped into pipes and clogged them shut. The dryer vent is still partially clogged even after their repair. My fiberglass shower had to be removed to access pipes under it. The workers lost some of bushings for the glass door. It does not close properly. I will have to order new ones from the company. When reinstalling kitchensink the old air vent was reused and consequently failed, causing sewer gas to leak into kitchen.  The Rooter man denied reusing old vent . I had to replace it myself. Door to bathroom was gouged badly. They did reimburse me for a new door. Now I have to pay for finishing door and installation. This company is probably very good at unclogging pipes and minor jobs. After paying them thousands and thousands of dollars, I don't recommend them for any major repair. Careless and rude workers. Neighbor complained to me there were cigarette butts in his bushes.

Greg came out to my daughters house because we had water coming from the main drain.  He looked at it and said it had calcified .  Could not get the top off the 2nd drain, said they break easily and cost $125-$150 to replace.  Offered to do the work for $1200-$1500.  We said no thank you.  Called a competitor and when they came they said it was just tree roots.  Completed the job for $260.  Wow!

Had 2 guys come out to replace less than 7 feet of pvc piping and have them mount it against my wall. They gave me a estimate of $680. I thought they were mistaken but they confirmed it would be that much. After I showed them the way out of the house they knocked on my door 2 minutes later and said they could do it for 400 dollars. I told them absolutely not. These people are out here  to gouge the people and pocket as much money from you as they possibly can. There's no doubt they are absolutely trying to take advantage of their customers. I called another plumbing company to come out and they did the job for 285. These crooks at mr rooter were literally charging me way over double the amount than the other plumbers. I would never recommend their services and will be following up with the bbb.

Bad experience (after previous okay experience) with Mr. Rooter of Toledo to share. Short version: Made an appointment, they didn't show. Long version: Water was streaming out of our wall, we made an appointment in the morning for a plumber between 4-6pm, we called them at 5:30 to check the status of our appointment, the said they were on the way, we called again at 6:15, they said they were on the way, we called again at 7:15, they said it got too late, so they couldn't come. If Mr. Rooter was up front with us, we could have gotten another appointment with another company, but now we have to pay a 24 hour emergency company to come and repair the pipe as water pours out of our wall. Avoid this company.

Used Mr Rooter when we first bought our house back in 2015 and paid around $275 to have our drain snaked from tree roots. Was satisfied with the job they did. They also gave me a $50 off coupon to use next time they came. Fortunately did not need them until now 2017. Called them out and they gave us an estimate of $407 to snake our drain. Absolutely insane. Sorry those prices are too astronomical for this family. We called someone else local who came out within the hour and charged us around $150, definitely much more affordable.
