I will not pay for another plumbing band-aid. This is who AHS home warranty uses, and I will probably drop my home warranty because of them. Either they offer a different plumber or Im done with AHS as well. Every 6-8 months, the same pipe leaks in the exact same spot.

Have used this company several times due to unfortunate appliance breakdowns.  They have fixed a refrigerator, dishwasher, and A/C unit for our family.  I have always been impressed by their technician's attitude and overall manner of working with me as a customer.  Some of the other vendors we have used over the years have been knowledgeable and quite skilled like the Advanced technicians, but the Advanced professionals have consistently treated me with respect and integrity.  While they of course need to show profitability in their work and charge for their skills accordingly, they have given me advice on how manage appliance wear and tear as well as preventative measures that might help our family's equipment last longer and not need as much repair.  Instead of giving me fear about how much it is going to cost to fix,  they try and look at solutions that are going to help them develop a relationship with the customer and potentially save them money, if not now, overtime.  It is apparent that they want to have a reputation of truly helping the customer and meeting their needs, and although that still cost money, they aren't just trying to get in and charge as much as they can and leave the customer with questions and concerns about what caused the problem in the first place.  

Last spring I had an expert with their company, Wayne come out to fix an A/C problem and he not only was very thorough in diagnosing the problem, he discussed with me several different options on how to go about the repairs.  I felt like he was really leveling with me and trying to explain the pros and cons of each pathway.  He obviously knew his stuff and was far more knowledgeable and independent than previous contractors who came out fiddling around and seemingly trying to figure out what to do next and sometimes even having a partner or someone they needed to consult with on the phone.  I'm not saying that it isn't sometimes necessary and wise to get a second opinion from a fellow craftsman, but Wayne seemed to be the type that could train and certify other technicians and he had the patient and gentle dimeanor to talk me through the process and answer my questions.  Even though he did have some bad news about an expensive part that was necessary, he helped me have confidence that it was indeed something that I really needed, and he used an approach of ruling out other parts so that he could keep the cost down as much as possible and not purchase or repair anything that was adequate and functioning properly.  

This time around I was assigned to Ken, and his approach was very much the same.  He even came in testing and examining things inside the house for signs and signals to his target and most ideal outcome instead of just jumping first to the outside unit which was obviously not functioning properly.  He was wanting to make sure he had a good reliable perspective of the entire picture before jumping to conclusions, and risk fixing one thing to get things back up and running, but potentially missing another factor, or the issue that caused the breakdown in the first place.  I have had technicians from other companies refuse to even come in and check things out from that vantage point which seems the most logical and intuitive thing from the standpoint of what the outside unit's purpose is.  So how can you tell what it is trying to do and what the ideal outcome is if you just go straight to the compressor or refrigerant and leave.  Ken was so thorough that he noticed that one of the other units was not working as efficiently as it needed to and was probably causing undo stress on the one that had broken down completely.  Therefore he not only fixed the problem, but probably prevented a future one, as they work in tandem together.  He answered my questions in an informative way, helping me understand the science and technological aspect of what was going on, but now in a condescending manner that some technicians use in talking with the novice homeowner.  In other words he wasn't just throwing a bunch of patronizing terms and figures at me to get me to leave him alone or convince me to spend more money.  Ken was really educating me and understands his field so well that his expansive knowledge doesn't slow him down a bit for him to talk and be calculating, configuring, and adjusting equipment at the same time.  He paused only a few times with his gauges because he wanted to get them just right, almost like the A/C whisperer, striving for complete equilibrium and equipment tranquility.  It was very evident that he was treating my equipment like it was his own.  He was trying to work quickly and move on to his next jobs to be as productive as possible for him and his company, but he was more concerned about his word and deed making sure he could trust he had shown the skill of a master technician and also the virtual of a man of high character that could stand behind his work!

My repair was covered under my home warranty so I can't speak to cost but the communication and service were excellent.  They were on time and the repair person kept me informed of his arrival time.  Repair was handled quickly   He cleaned up his work area after he was finished and gave me helpful information about my appliance.

We have a home warranty, and this is the company they contracted to do our refrigerator repair. The gasket surrounding the fridge doors had come detached. Their repair person came out, assessed the problem & ordered a replacement part.  The office was courteous and accommodating in scheduling, and the repair technician was efficient and friendly. He even gave me a tip to avoid the problem of the gasket pulling apart.

They told me that they could come during 1-2:30 and then called at 2:15 to tell me that they could do 3:00-4:30. At 3:15 they called to tell me they could do 4:30-6:00.
I got off work early to be at home and they never arrived. I had to wait another week to get my air conditioning fixed in the middle of summer. I tried to go with another company but they were the only ones that would accept my insurance. Advanced Appliance never seemed to care that they were treating me poorly. I was very nice and tried to tell them I was unhappy with the way they had delayed my service but they just continued to act as if they didn't care.

This contractor confirmed via email and on the phone that they would be coming to my home today (a Saturday) between 9a-2p.  They never showed up.  I called their number and the recording said they are closed on Saturdays.  I see why they have a low rating.  I wouldn't have chosen them myself.  They were the contractor the home warranty company, American Home Shield, chose to diagnose and repair our central heating unit.  American Home Shield is also extremely terrible as well.

I recently purchased a home, and found a leak coming through my ceiling after running the shower/tub. After waiting a week for this company to come out, two employees ran the shower and tub. After seeing no leak after 10-15 minutes, they left. No more than 10 minutes later, I noticed my ceiling leaking. My husband called the company to let them know the ceiling was in fact leaking from the same location I showed them pictures of, and he was told the soonest that someone could come out again would be 5 days despite the ongoing leak.

The manager told my husband that the project was completed and that it is the best they can do. So if you are in need of a plumber, and this is the best they can do, I would recommend you contact a different company.

Beware:  This was the service company assigned to us through American Home Shield.  They came out to evaluate our problem & misdiagnosed our issue.  After spending $11K with them on two new HVAC units, the problem persists.  They have been to our home nearly a dozen times over the past year.  I received a voicemail from them on Friday afternoon admitting they had botched the diagnosis & that it's actually a ductwork problem...something they simply aren't set up to handle.  So, we were essentially fleeced of $11K and still sleeping in an 80 degree bedroom.  I would avoid this company unless you simply have time and money to burn.

If I could leave less than 1 start I would... Do not use this company.. I used them to replace dampers to an Ac unit, spent over 800$ for the repair, they used the wrong ones and a little over a yr later (14 months) I need new dampers because they used wrong ones.. called them and basically got hung up.. I will be contacting better business bureau and seeing what actions can be taken against them for using wrong products and wiring it up wrong

I only used them because it is who American Home Shield contracts with in my area. Wasted an entire day waiting on them and it wasn't until I called them (after several attempts) that they informed me they weren't able to come to my home so I had to reschedule. Upon rescheduling I requested to be among the first appointments due to my schedule. I tried calling on the day of my reschedule to no avail. I was so fed up that I called warranty company requesting alternative service options. They even attempted to contact the service company and couldn't get through. At that point, I was requesting my refund and...funny....service company calls to say they're en route.

When they showed up, the guy was at my house under 5 minutes. He looked at it, said he will put in a request for parts (never attempted to turn machine on or anything!). I asked how long THAT would take and he said I don't know I added I wanted it replaced and not repaired due to its wear and tear and age. He then instructed me to call American Home Shield . Service person was curt. I'll be speaking with the warranty company about this.

We have 2-10 Homeowner Warranty. They only use Advanced Appliance which doesn't even make sense to begin with since we live in Greensboro which is 30 miles from there. But they came out to fix a broken water pipe outdoors near the outdoor spa. We understood that it was not to be covered by the warranty but we still wanted to know how much it would cost to properly bury the pipe underground like it should have been in the first place, long before we bought this house. The home inspector didn't even know it was broken, so here we are. The plumber promised to send us a quote that night. But, he did not send us anything that night or any other night, and it has now been about 6 weeks!! So, I felt that the mandatory $100 charged by 2-10 was unfair given the fact that Advanced Appliance just blew us off!! It's just so ridiculous that there cannot be any choice of companies through 2-10, not just a few to choose from, but JUST ONE IN THE WHOLE PIEDMONT TRIAD AREA!!!! Lousy company.

Absolutely disappointed ! I seriously felt Their maintenance contract is a bait !! They charged me  unreasonable rate and try to make me  do unnecessary repairs . For example they charged me  275 dollars for  changing  a leaky valve ( he also told if I donrt fix it he need to shut off the system for saftey) .The valve itself cost 30 dollars online !! He quoted me 300 dollars for changing a  slow ignition switch which again cost 28 dollars online . This quotes were supposed to be based on a catalogue and it is standard . When I mentioned about the cost of the actual parts catalogue based price came down to 150 .Anyway I just finished mandatory leak work and said good bye !!

The technician called 15 minutes prior to showing up-and even fit me in a day earlier than originally scheduled--which was so fantastic. He greeted me wearing a mask and fixed the broken part of my unit quickly and efficiently. After finishing he let me know that if anything was wrong Just to give them a call. Will definitely use this company again in the future!

I would avoid Advanced at all costs. American Home Shield sent them my way for a second opinion. Although my HVAC system was clearly not cooling properly, they said nothing was wrong with it. After a call complaining to AHS that my system was still not functioning properly, they sent the same tech out. Magically, although it was only a few weeks later, I had a major Freon leak. My accumulator was replaced. My HVAC unit still isn't functioning properly. They will not touch my system again. I am refusing to allow them back.

These guys are a bunch of clowns.  Can't keep an appointment (even when the window is 8 hours), can't call you back at the right number, leave you on hold for up to 10 minutes and are generally rude.  But if that is what you are looking for in an appliance repair company, then by all means give em a call.

Well, I guess I should have read these review before I gave advanced appliances $300 to replace a part on my machine that would not actually fix the machine. They failed to tell me that after they replaced the part it would need another $200 to actually make it a functioning machine. The tech notion told Judy he informed me of that but he did not because if I would have known that I would have just gone out and purchased a new machine. This is a class case of bait and wait until they give me more $. They then had to come back out and tell me I now needed to fix the hinge for $200. Bringing my grand total to $500. The same total as a new machine. They swear up and down that they told me that but what logical person would 1/2 fix the problem and be left with a broken machine. I would stay away from these guys and find someone else to fix your appliances or just go ahead and buy a new one, it will most likely be less expensive.

Horrible. Unbelievable issues with scheduling mistakes, customer service. They also did not secure a screw cap, causing a leak which another company had to fix. Stay away.

I am giving two stars instead of one ONLY because the technicians that have been out have been nice and friendly. Otherwise, if this service was not a home warranty service and I was not being held hostage to that, I would never give these people one thin dime and I will definitely not recommend them to anyone solely based on the customer service folks in the office.

We had a service appointment to repair a microwave sensor that was covered under our home warranty. Advanced Appliance was scheduled to come out. They diagnosed the problem and ordered a replacement part. When they returned with the part, the proposed solution did not correct the problem. Instead the issue was much worse after they left.  Since then I have tried to contact them for the past month to come back and address the problem, but they have not gotten back to me.  Since this was through a home warranty I can't bring anyone else out to look at it without covering everything out of pocket. The techs were polite and seemed to be knowledgeable but the lack of communication has been a deal breaker for ever recommending them.

I used my home warranty company and they sent me Advanced Appliance Service. The agent (Rocky) was punctual, friendly, and informative. He answered all my questions about my stove and dishwasher. He even put the light bulb in my microwave. I thought I needed a new stove and dishwasher. But after Rocky's visit I know know I don't. He saved me from spending unnecessary money. I will use them again.

My washing machine was not spinning all of the water out of the machine at the end of the cycle. I had used Advanced years ago for my dryer, so I reached out to them again. Called because one of my two central unit went out. I had air downstairs and it is bearable. However he said the one unit needed parts, after he left the 2nd unit stopped working , called and Advanced said i needed to call another ticket to AHS?????? They also said they are booked up and cannot get to my house for another 3 days?!!?!? I told them they broke the unit why do i have to wait and need to speak with the owner. The advanced lady refused to let me speak  with the owner or give me their name????? In 2016 companies like advanced should not be operation.

Very painful experience! American home shield puts you with these Guys! Stacey the scheduler is so unfriendly. They will always put you two weeks away to be in with and if you don't answer they'll put you again two weeks away! It never stops! Good news you'll be in Winter.
They act so busy! Local businesses should be thankful they are in business because of customers like us not act like they don't care! Someday they'll learn their lesson!

I am also using a home warranty and with water leaking into another person's home from mine they could not get to it for 5 days???  I would consider that an emergency.  I had the home warranty company remove them from my account, so I never have to deal with them again.  2nd time they have not had time for a major issue.  Either they need to remove themselves from this contracted work or hire some more folks.  Either way they obviously don't care!!

Do NOT use this company for pool repairs. Unfortunately, we had to because our home warranty has a contract with them. We were out of using our pool for a month or more And I am 9 months pregnant to make it worse.

We knew the pump was broken so they send someone out. He looks at it and claims it's working myself not knowing any better says oh wow ok. Come to find out he turned on the fountain pump. I call the company and explain he turned on the wrong pump and they want me to wait for another week before the come out. I explain we shouldn't have to since it was their mistake. They send him back out and sure enough it was the pump (Duh!). Another week or so goes by they finally have the pump in and he comes out to install it. He does a shotty job because when he leaves the pump is off. Why you ask? Because when I turned it on water is leaking for the pipe. He's already left because it's 5:00 of course. We had enough with this company and paid Leslie Pools to come out and fix their crummy job of putting a plumbing pipe on that didn't fit. So again use a place like Leslie Pools that know what they're doing if you can!

FIND ANOTHER REPAIR SERVICE PLEASE!  I would not recommend  Advanced Appliance Service.  We have been dealing with them back and forth for over 6 months.  1st time was in Dec. 2017 when Heater went out.  They repaired/patched problem.  We have had them out to repair Air Conditioner every month after that, it would work for about 2 weeks then down again.  They go back and forth with American Home Shield and after asking for copies of invoices and notes from Advanced on the work and parts that had been replaced we were told by a manager we don't take notes.   They told us they ran dye through system and couldn't find the leak after we paid over 400.00 to fill with coolant and then leak was right in the front on one of the hoses Questionable and shady.. system still leaked no more coolant in it???  We have been without air conditioning for over 3 months now.  We put window units in our home until I can get these people to be accountable for their work or lack of, their mis-diagnoses, work and parts they said they replaced is questionable....lack of professionalism and over all terrible service.  Management is unprofessional and very offensive.   I have Hours and hours logged and so many phone calls (I do take notes) to Advanced and the continuous run around they do not call back when they promise to, they have no followup, work is incomplete, I too had taken off work and they were a no show. Currently still no air, I am researching our rights and my next steps to hold them accountable.

I have to say it is SO POOR and not recommend anyone to use this one. I called them simply because the Whirlpool uses them as service company in Charlotte. My KitchAid range hood stopped working, and called this company. The technician fixed it with rewire and charged $126 ($88 as visit fee plus $38 labor fee), and asked to replace controller ($203 parts + $75 labor) if the problem happen again. Just after one day, the machine stopped working again. I tested the controller, and surprisingly found the part worked well! And soon I found the connection didn't touch well therefore caused the no working. I fixed it by myself, and called this company complaining about the trick they placed in order to make another trip and replace a part that works well, simply trying to make another $278 from me. The manager denied and didn't give any positive feedback about this trick. I won't use them again.

There were several unprofessional dialogues with my AC repair, from the rushed slightly rude scheduler to the person I called to ask for a breakdown of the charges.  They don't give a breakdown of the charges! I kept the repairman here while I called the main line, and the woman kept referring to a national book rate.  I explained that plumbers, electricians, most people break down the parts and the labor.  Nope, they don't/won't, and even after a long hold she came back and said the dispatcher said no they can't give me a breakdown, it's just the national book rate.  She hung up on me and even my repairman said Wow, she wasn't very professional by hanging up and speaking to you like that.  BTW, Allen Cooper, the repairman, was very polite, calm, and professional!  The whole we don't break down the charges makes me think of snake oil salesman tactics.  Too bad.

It turned out that the first technicians who came for the HVAC maintenance didn't plug in the pump, which left a lot of water in the garage. Also, they didn't set the upstairs and downstairs thermostats back to their original temperatures. We suddenly realized it was freezing cold at 55° !!
We had to get another tech to look at the water that came out of the pump.
This tech noticed the pump wasn't plugged in and we hoped that was the cause of the excess of water. Unfortunately the pump was not working well and luckily he had one in his truck, which he installed right away. It's fine now. I wonder why the first techs didn't notice the faulty pump...

Advanced Appliance review...I called on a Wed to AHS and Advanced Appliance called me shortly after I got off the phone with AHS.  They scheduled to come out to fix AC on Friday.  They actually gave me between 2-4 and was here by 2.  Needed Freon.  Luke was the guy that came out.  He was nice and professional. Surprised at all thte bad comments so I gave mine :)

Seth & his tech associate performed a 'checkup' only and did a very satisfactory job.. They did find that we needed to replace a capacitor on the outside unit. The additional claim was done over the phone while the techs were waiting to get the ok.
After getting the green light Seth said he had the part in his van and  changed it. Seemed that they were honest & efficient. Would recommend AAS to my friends.

Based on my current experience with Advanced Appliance, they stand out as the most honest and knowledgeable company. Brandon, James, and Mark were awesome. They were knowledgeable and informative. They could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge and diagnosed a more severe problem with my plumbing issues, but instead they were patient with determining the real issue and came up with a resolution that did not drain my own bottom line. They stayed until they were confident that the problem has been fully resolved. They even cleaned the aftermath of their diagnosis. This company is truly amazing.

I could not recommend a vendor LESS than Advanced.  Advanced has been sent out twice to my home for warranty work twice and both times it has been terrible.  The first time was for an HVAC replacement.  I had requested that they do some additional work that I would pay for outside of the work that was covered under warranty.  Not only was this not done but of the work that was done I could not even get simple information like warranty information, operating and service manual.  The installation technician had none of these and suggested I call the office.  When I did call them I was told they would mail it out, which never happened.

This last call was for low hot water pressure.  When the technician arrived he never attached any water pressure gauges to the hose to test the pressure, he merely turned on the faucets and said everything looks good  This despite me having told him I place a gauge on the water line and it came back 20 psi lower than what it should be.  He then mentioned it could be an issue with the shower cartridge and would get authorization to replace it from American Home Shield. What I found out later was he had closed the ticket as no issue found.  After getting another service to come out and look at the issue the plumber found that there was a blockage in the hot water tank reducing the water flow.

Save your money and time call any other area Triad plumbing, HVAC or appliance repair companies.

Do you guys work for First American home warranty they get sent out on a claim in my case HVAC and they victimize  The claim they charge them thousands in uncovered unneeded code upgrades etc. etc. after the initial visit they send out a person just to figure out how many different ways they can overcharge you. If anybody else did with this company does they be in jail. These guys are crooks plain and simple my heat is still out from October and believe it or not I have a current home warranty contract talking about .  Crooks crooks crooks If anybody has any questions or want to detail feel free to call me at 336-988-9589 or if anybody needs any help suing  these guys.. because they deserve it

I'm giving them 3 stars because they have done good work for me in the past. They were supposed to send a repair man, Misael, to my house today to look at my oil furnace. The tank was just refilled from empty, and my pilot light won't come on. Misael was supposed to come to my house between 8am and 6pm, and it's now 6:45 and he never came. I never even got a text message or a call saying he had to cancel. Just nothing. I have no heat. I'm sick at home. I paid my home warranty company $80 and so far, have seen nothing. The best part was that when I called to say he never showed up between the 10 hour window he was given, the place was closed so I couldn't even find out what happened. This is not the way to treat your customers. Please do better.

Through my home warranty company I purchased a package to inspect and clean my air conditioner. The tech told ME to clean the coils. After looking at the package I purchased it read that the coils were supposed to be cleaned by them. I called Advanced Appliance and they stated the technician said he cleaned the coils. I said, With what? A spray bottle? I'm very dissatisfied.

Advanced Appliance Services is the company chosen by my home owners warranty to repair a leak   under my bathroom sink. At first the plumber said he could not find a leak. Then he found a pin hole leak in his own words the supply line He took pictures, did not repair the leak. Said he would have to order rebuild kits for both bathroom faucets. Then I guess after the pictures he took were reviewed by their customer service manager they reported to my home owners warranty company that the leak was in the faucet not the supply line. They had the gall to call me to set up an appointment for them to come out and rebuild my faucets with me having to pay all of the cost and mentioned nothing about repairing the pin hole leak they had found. Maybe that is why they have had 26 one star reviews on Yelp since January 1, 2019

My bathtub in guest bathroom had become really stopped up and Drano wasn't doing any good so I called Advanced Appliance and my appointment was set for a couple days out. The plumber came that morning and had the problem solved in no time flat!!! Highly recommend these folks!

I have never worked with a company that cared less than this one.  Came to fix ice maker and check for a leak in the fridge.  Guy said he couldn't move it alone and would need to come back with someone else.  Five weeks later, came back alone, moved the fridge alone and said, looks like its been leaking a long time.  Complained to them and home warranty company.  Blew me off and told the warranty company they sent two guys the second time.  When I complained to Advaned again, they told me they didn't have to do anything when they came out on the first visit.  So why is the home warranty company paying them?? They could have minimized the water damage, but did absolutely nothing.  Ice maker still does not work and the unit still leaked after two visits.  Another appliance company came, found and fixed the leaks, gave me recommendations on what to change when I replace the floor.  Would never hire Advanced Appliance again.

We hired them only because of a home warranty and are so sorry we did. Half an hour after they replaced a malfunctioning dishwasher sensor panel, water came pouring out from underneath the appliance. It had never leaked before. I called them immediately, but they did not send anyone out until the following day, after water had sat on and under our hardwood floors. They denied any responsibility, said the incident had nothing to do with their work. Long story short, we paid $1000 deductible to have our insurance company pay over $6,000 in to mitigate the damage, and repair the floor and downstairs ceiling. I would never, ever hire them again.

I called them because my washer would stop and not rinse. THAT WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM! Paid $320 to get it fixed. Loaded the washer it spinned and rinsed BUT water was aall over the floor. Called them back and sent someone a week later. That guy said it was not caused by the last guy that came out to fix it (of course it wasn't right) it was something else something in the detergent compartment. He will order the parts and come when they arrive. Almost 2 weeks later and finally someone came to get it fixed AGAIN!  YEAH RIGHT! This time I was chard $180. Water is still coming out!  After spending $500 to get 1 problem I get another problem that wasn't the issue to start with. I WILL NEVER EVER CALL THEM! Why bother it takes a week to get someone in and almost 2 weeks to get parts.If I would of known this much this was going to cost me I've bought a NEW WASHER!

I was first introduced to this outfit from my home warranty company.  It has been straight downhill from there.  I've reviewed this business before but I think it merits another mention.  I purchased an HVAC system from them and it's been NOTHING but problems.  Multiple calls to fix seemingly endless issues.  The employees don't communicate with each other, so when they show up you have to go through the whole story EVERY time. Essentially, the same person never came twice and this is going on for a year and a half, you can imagine my frustration.  Things have been pretty quiet since they finally repaired my ceiling, after months of back and forth.
So, this morning I woke up to no heat, my HVAC system is still under warranty so I call Advanced and was told that they will get someone out Thursday or Friday.  Today is Tuesday 1/4/2022 and it was 28 degrees outside.  Reminder, I bought the system from this company, they installed it and it's under warranty.  Shouldn't that count for something?  One would think!  The receptionist didn't even seem to care that I didn't have heat, I guess her empathy was waning this morning as she sat in her warm cubicle and drank her mocha latte (as I was freezing my butt off shivering by a space heater).   I had to call another company, they came out right away and fixed the problem(s).  Screws were not tightened to the electrical box, blue dye was in the refrigerant (which the installing company placed and didn't mention that it could void the warranty), a wire was burned and kept throwing the breaker.  The front panel on the unit was taped shut, making it nearly impossible to get into.  Just a mess!
If it weren't such an expensive lesson I'd have to laugh but I'm not there yet.  PLEASE don't use this company, they have been my biggest regret since buying my home and endless problems, headaches, and frustrations.

This company was sent to my home through our home warranty company. It has been over a month and my AC has yet to be fixed. The first time they came and stated the problem had been resolved however the next day it proved that it wasn't. It took 2 weeks to get them to schedule another appointment to come back. When they finally came back the tech left again without fixing it stating he didn't have a ladder needed to fix the problem. A week later another appointment scheduled and then rescheduled to ANOTHER week later due to the technician running behind. Their customer service is awful. They are unwilling to fix the problem that was not fixed weeks ago. Rather than getting someone to my home as soon as possible to fix a problem they were called for WEEKS AGO, they reschedule weeks out. This is how they do business. Terrible company with even worse customer service representatives and technicians.

To start with, if Yelp had negative stars, this may be the only place I'd use it for. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with this group of scam artists. They just spent 9 months working on my home heating and cooling unit and never fixed it. They eventually had to replace it after trying multiple new parts and solution. Worst part, they provided an estimate that I agreed upon for replacement and then after completing the replacement, they change the estimate which increase the cost by $500 with no extra service rendered. I disputed the extra cost which was denied.
On top of the junk work, this company is utterly miss managed. In 9 months they missed numerous appointments that I stayed home from work for and they didn't even have the professionalize to contact me knowing they weren't going to make it. A different technician shows up nearly every time and they don't even know the history of what the previous technician did. They always try to say its a new issue when it isn't. That's so they can charge you again and again. I also change for service that were never rendered such as adding more freon. The list goes on and on with how terrible a company they are to deal with.
Now that it's all behind me, I know they will NEVER work on anything for me again. I wouldn't even let them work on my kids Hot Wheel cars.

Our compressor stopped working the week of July 4th. We have a warranty with Total Protect. Total protect sent out Advance Appliance in Winston Salem, N.C. and they quoted us 1800 dollars just for a compressor. We questioned Total protect and Advance about 1800 dollars. We had the downstairs heat and air replaced for 400 dollars in 2016. We wanted another opinion from another service provider and was told Advance was the only choice. We ask for an itemized list of the charges. Advance had charged us over 700 dollars for bogus charges like duct work, electrical  etc. The city inspector plus there service tech admitted the charges were bogus. We were here when the compressor was being changed out and there was no new duct work etc. We tried to talk to the owner but he would not talk to us about the bogus charges. CARL THAT OWNS ADVANCE IS A CROOK. WHEN EMPLOYEES TELL YOU IF THEY DID NOT HAVE WARRANTY COMPANIES TO WORK FOR THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!

The service guy was great. The schedule not so good. They give a 5 hour window, even the cable folks have it down to an hour. In this area if you have American Home Shield, then you must deal with Advance Appliance. Since they have 100% of the business customer service is not high up on the list.

Sent to us by our home warranty company to fix our stove. First visit the technician said he didn't know the answer but would need to order a bunch of parts for trial and error and hopefully the warranty company would approve it.  Set up second visit a week from that day. They called my wife (the day of appointment after she took time off work) to say they had to reschedule one more week out because they didn't have enough technicians. A week later the technician called my wife on his way saying he had no idea how to fix our stove and if he should still come as well as bad mouthing the company. I called the home office very upset and spoke to Patty and she guaranteed me that we had a senior technician coming out and he should never say that. He came out, half the stove originally worked. When he got done nothing worked and a fuse was blown. He told my wife he never should've come out in the first place and someone else should've been there that knew about our appliance. That was a Friday. I spoke to some District Manager the following Monday. He was super honest. Told me they had tried to service the same exact stove from the previous homeowner and had to turn it over to another vendor. He said they should've done the same thing this time but it slipped through the cracks. Fair enough, we got a new vendor that is much more sound in what they do. However, we got a bill from them in the mail today for $100 (our warranty service deductible). Called the office and was told no one is here that can help, maybe just call back Monday.

I run a multi location business across North/South Carolina. If I operated like this I would go out of business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

First Repair men just tightened the leaking spicket with a wrench, which was a temporary solution. It stopped it momentarily. However, by the next day it was leaking again. I called for a revisit and the appointment was set for that Friday from 1-5. Around 3 I got a call that they needed to reschedule for Tuesday 8-12. This time a different repairman came. He said he'd probably change the gasket and if that didn't work, he'd change the whole spicket faucet. He ended up changing the whole faucet with a brand new one. Everything went well. Pleased with the outcome even though it took two visits.

Unfortunately, this is the company that my home warranty company chose to look at our downstairs A/C unit.  They came late on a Friday, said the A/C freon was low, which I already knew.  Then they started looking at the heating system and taking about service plans.  I stated all I wanted right now was my A/C running.  They said it had to be approved by the home warranty company and then just left.  We had no A/C for the weekend.  I called my home warranty company to complain and cancel with them.  This had never happened before with any other company.  Even my home warranty company had some choice words about this company.  Never again will this company  be in my home.  Nope!!!

My washer broke. Lid lock issue. The warranty company registered this as non emergency which placed service at the bottom of the list meaning weeks before a technician would come. When I explained I had make moved to the area, everything I owned was in the washer mildewing, they sent someone in a week. I still had to go and buy transition clothes but only for a few days and not for two weeks! Very grateful. The technician was knowledgeable and quick! I'm hoping the fix is long term but we'll see.... I've already had a bit of a jammed door and I'm simply trying not to use the washer as much.

My warranty company referred us to Advanced to have our AC unit fixed. This was the same company that came out in July and fixed our AC and here it is less than three months later and they had to come out again. Their first visit was on 10/4/18 and all the technician did was put in some freon and change a filter. This clearly didn't fix the problem and they had to come out again the next day. The technician told us that next day that there was a leak and it was iced over. Since this was a Friday he said it takes 24-48 hours for it to deice. The company was scheduled again to come out on that Monday to diagnose the problem. The tech came Monday and determined we needed to replace a part. We were informed that they had to contact our warranty company to order the part. We rescheduled again for Thursday for them to replace the part. They had to reschedule Thursday for bad weather which was understandable. They came out on Friday (today) now a week after the initial visit. The same tech from Monday told us he was here to fix the unit and not replace the part. My husband called Advanced to find out why they didn't just fix it Monday and they had the audacity to throw their tech under the bus saying that he should have known to fix it Monday. The tech knew on Monday just the same as he knew (after trying to fix it for 3 hours) today that the part needed replacing. After calling Advanced to complain and ask to speak to a manager the receptionist had the gall to laugh while I was expressing my frustration. My husband finally spoke to a manager (Jacob) when he called again and the manager was rude and sassy. The manager told my husband that the warranty company had told them to fix not replace the part which was another lie. We know this was a lie because our warranty company told us that Advanced never even contacted them and that even though they're supposed to file the diagnosis within 48 hours that they had just filed it today. Each time we called to reschedule service they would give us attitude and increase the window of service. One of these times the window was 8 hours! We had nothing but run arounds, rude interactions, and terrible service. Here it is almost 10 days after the first visit and still no AC!! I've already made it very clear to my warranty company that Advanced will never set foot on my property again. I am a patient person but when you drag things out, lie, and are rude on top of it you can forget about having my business.

Friendly technicians and support seems to be very knowledgeable. But we were quoted one price from the technician who came on site. And the following day we got a call from the parts department with prices three times what we were quoted with the on-site technician.

They said it was a mistake but the way they handled it was not professional. We will do the repair because they came halfway on the repair cost but we will never recommend them or use them again. Shop elsewhere for each

Same date for service Kelley C. posted. Never ever showed. Called after 4pm to say they probably wouldn't make it but would try to fit me in. Said I'd receive a call by 5:30 to say if they were coming. Called at 5pm to ask for update and found out my appointment had been rescheduled for the next day with NO notice to me. I sat in my client's home for 7 hours waiting for them. Would still not tell me ANY idea of what time appointment would be for next day. No choice but to use them -- because of warranty company -- but this is probably why they are used. Cheap and bad and they don't care.

Wish I could give them a rating with a negative star.  Terrible.  They don't fix the issue with your HVAC that is under my HSA warranty.  However they will come out multiple times to do nothing, knowing HSA will be paying the bill for the each trip out.  After one tech came out and 'repaired' our unit, it started having the same issue a couple weeks later.  They sent another tech out (make sure you refuse to pay the deductible again if this happens to you). He was here for at least an hour, told me one of the parts the last tech replaced was 'faulty' and coincidentally 'blew' while he was here.  He then told me they would call the next day when someone was heading out with the part that he did not have in his van, but it is a very common part that he just used at another appointment that morning.  Next day, no one called.  I was trying to be patient and called the morning of the following day. The gentleman told me they did not have that part and they were waiting on HSA to approve the order of that said part.  Who also was very condescending and disrespectful. I then called HSA which they informed me no one from Advanced had submitted any claims or request to order that part. My husband called Advanced WHILE I was still on the  phone with HSA and they lied to us again. I requested the agent I was speaking to, to call Advanced because we were not getting a straight answer, she did all of this while I was kept on hold.  Turns out they did have the part however just didn't put us on the books to come out to repair their already 'repaired' issue.  We waited 4 more days, having it being 98° in our home with young children. I had to call again that following Monday to see if someone would be coming out, a gentleman soon called me and said he would be here.  Once he got here, he had was not informed of any of the issues and did not have a request to bring the part we were 'waiting on'.  After speaking to HSA I requested to never have that company be called if there is another issue with our HVAC, which I would highly recommend doing if you call to make any claim.  I explained everything to the agent I spoke to, which is from my understanding leading them to do some looking into foe fraudulent activity on Advanced's end.   Good luck.  Hope my horrible experience can save another family from a miserable experience.

STAY AWAY!!! I wish I could give them zero stars. When the pilot light on the water heater went out and wouldn't stay lit, I contacted my home warranty company, who had Advanced Appliance Service call me about the repair. A technician came out late afternoon on a Thursday. His repair lasted about 30-45 minutes, and by that time, Advanced was closed and I had to leave a message. When they called me on Friday, I was told it would be Monday before anyone could come. I told them that that was unacceptable, that it wasn't a new call, it was the same call that they didn't fix the first time, so they said Saturday before 1. At 12:30 on Saturday, I'd still heard nothing, so I called again and the young woman who answered the phone had no idea that anyone was supposed to be coming to work on my water heater. After much sleuthing on her part, she called me back to say that the on-call plumber was sick so it would be Monday, which is today. I called them this morning and was told that I was on the schedule for today and someone would call me with a time window of when I could expect the repairman. After no call from them, I called again only to be told that there were 2 plumbers out sick and it would be tomorrow before anyone could come. At this point I'm livid, having taken off work numerous days, even Saturday!! If I were not bound to using them because of the home warranty, I'd call some one else. Don't buy into their tomorrow and we'll call you with a time lines. I've heard that too many times to believe anything they say. They have the WORST customer service I've ever seen!!

I had to use Advanced because I have First American Home Buyer's Protection Corporation, which provides home warranties. Been paying First American for over 9 years.  I made an appointment with Advanced for today after 1PM.  I had to pay someone to work, so I could be here for them.  I got a call at 2PM,  from Advance stating that they would not be able to make the appointment, I would have to reschedule.  
I called First American to let them know what happened.  They told me that Advanced told them that I called the day before and cancelled my appointment.  CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT THEY LIED ABOUT THIS?  Why would I even call First American, if I cancelled the appointment?
So I have been on the phone with First American for almost 2 hours.  After being escalated to the Supervisor, she is checking to see if another company can come out. The previous person, at First American, said that I would have to reschedule with Advanced.  
Great news they are rescheduling with another company.
Do not use this Advanced, not only do they not show up, they lie about it.
You have been warned.

I have used Advanced Appliance for a couple of yrs after my AHS contract ran out and have had satisfactory service until today's call. The tech checked out the A/C system per the maintenance contract of $100 which covers travel time, diagnosis and parts & labor less 15%. The Tech informed me the capacitor on the compressor and heat pump were at 60/40 operating capacity, and did I want to change them at this time. As a preventative measure with winter coming on I decided to replace them. Capacitors cost about $12. This is the breakdown of the bill, after discount. Renew Maintenance contract $106.75,  Service & parts $150.00. total $ 256.75. It does not take a rocket scientist to change out the capacitors. 2X$12.50=$25.00 for parts, $125.00 for 15 minutes labor. Looking for new appliance service after contract expires next year. I CANNOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY!

Company was sent to us by our home warranty to repair our heating unit. Job done fast (should have known then) but when the county came to inspect the system failed because exhaust pipe was not glued. THEREFORE putting my family at risk for carbon monoxide poisoning. Mind you this repair work was done 2 months prior I believe so this whole time we've been at risk. Thankfully we have multiple detectors.  When called Carl (owner's father) was condescending, did not believe that they had actually made any mistakes, wanted argue about what should have been done(Just fix it!) and wanted me sit here and wait for them to come fix a MAJOR problem. $1600 out of our pocket and they were unwilling to refund a $75 service fee since now I have had to waste 4 times for someone to come out. 2 for Advanced and 2 for the county. They have also come out for a toilet that overflowed. First guy said he fixed it but it overflowed again. Second call out that guy said the first one didn't fix a thing. Long story short-AVOID AT ALL COSTS.  Management has no people skills and must think customers are nitwits. If you're going to argue back when you're clearly in the wrong then you shouldn't be in business. This many negative reviews warrants a BBB report. I see they already have several under their belt...

I was having an issue with a light socket in my ceiling. It kept blowing bulbs for an unknown reason. Advanced Appliance Service sent Walter to come out to check it out. Walter called to tell me he was on his way and asked if it was a good time. He was clean, wore a mask, and very professional. He checked the voltage of the socket itself and noticed that the lighting was causing something to burn hot. He suggested to try an LED bulb at a lower wattage to see if that would correct the problem before changing the socket. He re-installed the light fixture with a new bulb, and didn't make a mess. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him and the company and will use them for any future issues!

I have worked for Advanced Appliance for short time and can tell you all with 100% certainty that most of you got ripped off. The way things are setup here is commission based with minimal salary. Considering MOST of their work is now from AHS and other home warranty work, the techs make minimal amounts if only fixing the issue under warranty. They work hard at trying to get things denied by the home warranty companies so it turns into a cash ticket. The lack of concern for the customer starts in the office, scheduling, dispatch, and then techs. They overbook everyday, unfortunately someone has to get rescheduled. They employ some good guys but soon find they will not make money being honest. Also, they hired a known sex offender only to fire him for sexual harassment towards customers and having an affair with woman in the office. And for those that get scheduled maintenance... I have seen an employee stand on the side of the house and do absolutely nothing before leaving. No cleaning, no, testing, nothing. If you value your appliances, time, and sanity I would not suggest using Advanced Appliance. You have been warned.

Just had two new HVAC units put in my home after the 22 year old units became too expensive to repair or worth repairing at all.  Advance had done all of the service on the units over the past 10 years through our AHS warranty. In addition, 1.5 years ago, they replaced my leaking hot water heater through my home warranty as well. Of course, I concur with all of the other reviews regarding Advance's lack of commitment to keeping assigned appointments and calling to reschedule at the last minute. That is the least of their problems. Fast forward to today. Just had my HVAC contractor show me why my hot water heater did not produce a steady, strong flow of hot water.......the lines were corroded. Advance failed to connect the new lines properly and the tubing is 90% clogged after less than two years. The only reason they found this is because Advance did not put my new unit on an 18 stand required by building codes or mount the safety valve tank correctly.  Incompetent is not a strong enough adjective to describe the majority of their technicians. The maintenance agreement of $150.00 for two visits a year is a joke as well (I was forced to have one or AHS would dispute any additional claims after using them for 8 years) They come out (eventually) and do practically nothing. The UV light assembly they placed on my attic unit was mounted on the wrong end, not to mention the excessive amount of mold built up that they were supposed to inspect and clean during these visits as well. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of home warranties and definitely ADVANCE. All warranty companies do is contract with corner cutting companies like ADVANCE and never repair the full extent of the problem, band aids at best. Save your money and use someone like Tuttle HVAC out of Reidsville. They are a family business with excellent pricing and workmanship.

This is the company that my home warranty sent out to fix my heating issue in November 2021 which was initially only me smelling a burning odor whenever my heat came on but they ended up coming out about 5 times before deciding that I needed a new furnace. Anyone who is deemed the subject matter expert should not need that many times to fix a problem unless they are intentionally trying to get money out of the customers, which I believe was the case. They came out and fixed the problem. Maybe a week or so passed by and I noticed the odor was STILL there so I contacted my home warranty 2-10 again and they sent them back out this time it was that I needed a fan motor...why wasn't that the case the first time if you're coming out for the same issue? No clue. Each time they came out there was a different issue that the claimed they were fixing but every time they worked on it there was a new problem I hadn't had previously. I requested a different service tech after the 4th time but I should've requested an entirely different company through my home warranty. The next one came out and informed me of a different motor that I needed and once the part was in they would come install it. Advance Appliances called stating they couldn't find the part for my system and that the home warranty would need to find it. Home warranty found it but when advanced appliance came to install it the part was the wrong part for my system therefore could not be found and now I need a new system. The strangest thing also happened the last time they came out, I had to leave work to come home and meet them there. Once the guy was finished and I had left he contacted me stating he had left some tools in my crawl space if I mind him going back to get them....I wasn't home he knew that but I watched on my security camera this man was there for about 20 minutes. I don't believe it takes that long to get any tool you may have left. They screwed with my system little by little making me use the allotted funds my home warranty provides to cover the system then tell me I need a new system and the funds that could've been used for a new system from the beginning are now exhausted because of all the parts and labor of them coming out so many times. I had to go to my crawl space to turn on the switch for my ice machine and found that they had taken my unit apart and not put it back together when they left. It was a mess, I wish I had before and after photos of my crawl space prior to any work being done but I only have the photo of the mess they left. Absolutely unacceptable, unsatisfactory, and unprofessional! I don't recommend using this company at all.

Over the past several months Advance Appliance was assigned by our home warranty company to come evaluate and fix our Jenn Air refrigerator that would not cool.  After 3 visits over 5 months we are still without a working refrigerator.  Each time they would come, identify a part that needed to be replaced, have us wait several weeks, and after a few days of operation the same problem would recur.  Since refrigerator was exhibiting the same problem each time, the home warranty company would insist on sending the Advance Appliance out every single time.  The THIRD time we had the same problem, they sent a more experienced expert to our home named Craig.  He came and acted like the problem was obvious - and stated that a service bulletin was put out for our model refrigerator with this issue.  This obviously begged the question as to what his company was doing the first two visits if his company RECEIVED A NOTICE about it.  Craig even retrieved the bulletin from his vehicle and gave it to me when he visited which tells me the problem must not be that uncommon.

Well, it turns out our home warranty company wouldn't cover the part.  Appliance's office staff would not tell us why, closed the case without any explanation, and left us with a broken refrigerator after nearly 5 months of drama.  We called the office and insisted to ask Craig the tech what the problem was and where do we go from here.  When we asked him what the next step was and offered to pay out of pocket to get a working fridge he was terribly rude and dismissive saying your guess is as good as mine and after a moment of continued questioning he said I'm done talking and hung up on us.  

From what I can see, Advanced Appliance is scam of a company that seems to collect insurance money from home warranties only to misdiagnose and perform faulty work on appliances before moving on to the next customer.  Stay away from them at all costs.

For some reason my First American Home Warranty Company has a real hard on for this place. There's poor communication, they pretty much come out when it's convenient for them and alot of the time they just put a band aid on the problem and don't really fox the problem...place is a joke.

We also have first American home warranty and have had every kind of problem with getting our air conditioner fixed.  It broke on May 11 on the weekend we called and were told they would call us on Monday. They did call and advised us they were very busy and would not be able to come out for nine days, on Wednesday the next week. This is the Carolinas, it's HOT and humid here-so we waited. The technician called us a day early and said they could come out so my husband took off work and met him at our house. He was here for 15 minutes, never went inside the house just added 2 lbs of Freon and left. The house cooled for a few hours and quit sometime in the Early hours ( maybe worked for 10-12 hours). We called them back in the am and explained that it was not fixed, they said would be 8 more days- we were upset, we had already waited 8 days in the heat and they didn't fix it. The receptionist there is unprofessional and rude. She said other people were waiting and we would have to wait again. We waited- they came out said ac was fine. It was a duke energy problem- bad outdoor breaker- called duke- they came out and said breaker was fine but they would change it anyway and they did- same day. AC still didn't work. Called them back and was told we would have to wait again- this time 5 days. Tech comes out, finally goes in the house to the attic and says it's a temperature sensor upstairs, but does not have the part. Will order and call us when it comes in to schedule a time to put it in, 9 days later on June 18 they put it in and ac is working ( fingers crossed ) for a day now.  5 weeks after my initial call. It's so ridiculous that I am amazed that they stay in business. My next call will be to the insurance company to make sure they have not been billing them for their sloppy inept work.  This company treats you like a last resort for work just because you have this insurance. I am also going to report them to the better business bureau and file a complaint with the insurance commission.
I would avoid both of these companies like the plague. If they don't want to do warranty work for less money under contract, how could they possible make money if they have to come out 4 times to finally fix a problem.

It would b so bad to wait if they didn't treat you so bad, we waited as asked but when something wasn't fixed properly the first time, they didn't care. They just kept making you wait again, back of the line, just because they didn't take the time to diagnose the problem. The first 2 techs never went upstairs ( where the problem was the whole time) so we sweltered for over 3 weeks with kids in the house and they didn't care.

I called for non emergency service on July 2nd and on the 4th, the tech arrived on time. He listened to my explanation of the issue and went to work. He was quick, neat, and non intrusive. I appreciated that he offered additional services but did not frame them as a necessary need. Great job, cold air!

I was very satisfied with the support I received! The repair was very quick and most importantly, I learned I could not fix the issue myself. When issues are fixed quickly, I wonder if it is something simple that I could address myself. The washer needed to be taken apart to be fixed, but our service technician was incredibly knowledgeable and fast and knew exactly what the issue was.

I hope I don't have any problems again, But if I do, I know that I will be receiving fast and professional support!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST service we have EVER had. Had to wait 2 weeks for a service call for our refrigerator. After the initial visit had to wait over a week for them to bring out the part. After that part was installed, stopped working within an hour. Called and they said they would order a replacement for the replacement but would take a week. After 10 days, called and they said it hadn't come in yet. Called again couple days later and found that it was never ordered because the vendor would not take back the bad part, which by the way, appeared to be a non-factory part (JUNK), which they never told us until we had to get hostile on the phone. In other words, they LIED about what was happening!  FINALLY, after TWO months they got the 'correct' part and installed it. TWO months without a refrigerator, ONLY because of their complete ineptness. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY!!

You find out the service you pay for when something goes wrong. On Sunday, November 5, our hot water went out. As instructed, we submitted a claim through First American Home Warranty Company who dispatched Advanced Appliance Services. They came out Tuesday (November 7) and lit the pilot light on the water heater and told me they were going to order the thermostat. On Thursday (November 9) I called back to check the status of the part, and it was NOT even ordered. So they proceeded to order the part in which it came in on Tuesday (November 14)......defective. I'm not really sure how you can know a part is defective without installing it but ok...fine....then they had to order a replacement part.....guess what.....that one came in on Friday (November 17) was defective too. So then they tell me, well now we are going to have the Warranty company order the part. So the warranty company now tells me, well our Purchasing is closed for the weekend so it has to wait until Monday (November 20) and that is to locate the part. I think that will put me at almost 3 weeks without water by the time they find one....OH! and lets hope this one isn't defective either!!!

So here we are two weeks without hot water and both companies say, we are doing our best! Oh, and George from the Warranty company told me, he was NOT going to pay for my gas bill going up for having to warm up hot water for two weeks because of their incompetence.

I want to go on record and say, do NOT use neither company because any company that thinks it is acceptable to go more than two weeks without hot water is not a company that you should want to give your money too!!!

I had a dishwasher that was 3 years old and it would not empty the water from the bottom. The technician came out and worked for about an hour and determined it would need a new control board. They ordered that and it took 2 weeks for it to come in. It took less than 30 minutes to put in. I was concerned about it not being able to dry the dishes as the element was under water all this time. He said not. I've run the dishwasher and the dishes don't dry still. I don't want to rangle around to get another appointment so I guess Ill just towel dry my dishes.

Worst service ever.  I have them a second chance after they were a no show for my appointment several months ago.  No phone call, just didn't show.  Now I am forced to use them again because they are the only authorized people to repair my LG refrigerator that is still under warranty.  My refrigerator quit working a week ago.  They couldn't get me scheduled for 4 days, so I cut my vacation short to come home today and guess what- another no show!!!!  This is ridiculous!

Terrible service, I would not recomend this place to anyone. Setup an appointment for may the 29th and they called the 28th at the end of business day to reschedule. I rescheduled for May 31th and the tech never showed up. Got a call from their office at 3PM telling me that they were cancelling my appoiment. The person on the other side of the phone did not care, she did not even apologize for cancelling.

Horrible customer service where they put you on hold for half an hour.  They scheduled appointment for AC repair for Monday, but never showed up that day. Only at 5 PM they contacted me to let me know they were not coming and were rescheduling. Technician unknowledgeable charging to replace parts that were in good order just to make a profit!!!! And for the rest of the repair, never went to the core of the problem, but just putting lipstick on a pig......of course, charging a hefty sum yet again!
Run as fast as you can from those clowns that pretend to be professionals!!!

Our washing machine could not run to the end of the cycle. We called Advanced Appliance, I have to wait for one week to get someone to fix it. The technician fixed it and charged us $214. They said they have 30 days warranty. The same problem happened again before the 30 days. We called and they said I have to wait for 13 days to get someone in. I said I could not wait that long without washing my clothes. They sent someone in few days. The technician said it needs to change the board and will cost $350 and it is not covered in the 30 days warranty. I could have bought a brand new washer if I have to spend total of $564 on this repair. It is the same problem but they give you the excuse that it is different parts. I never use them again this is a terrible company.

From one consumer to another, please beware. This company was sent to us by our Home Warranty company. We did not know about all the negative reviews, but you should (see BBB: bbb.org/northwestern-nor…) (see Yelp: yelp.com/biz/advanced-ap…).  

When I tried to understand what the problem was with our system, the owner became very agitated with me and raised his voice again and again. He refused to provide me with the results of the diagnostic we paid for ($75 is a lot of money!) and would not allow me to see any photographs or any information about what was submitted to the home warranty company (it appears our claim was denied due to incorrect information, but there's nothing we can do to correct it).  

He said that because we won't have his company do the repair (we're going to install solar panels), he wouldn't waste any more time on me. He said, the time you spend is the time you spend. I'm not sure what the means and I asked him. I will always remember the sound of him laughing at me then. I asked him repeatedly why he was so upset and he kept repeating that it was because we wouldn't be doing business with them.  

I contrasted his findings with the findings of a company we brought in ourselves and his response was, well you have to decide who to believe. When I said that this was one of the reasons I wanted to see the photos they took and get the details of the report, he flew off the handle again and started saying things like the time you spend is the time you spend.  When I pointed out that I had already paid them for a service that hadn't been fulfilled, he said he would only verbally give me a short list of some of the things wrong and wouldn't give me any further info. I was pretty shocked and kept saying, but I paid you for this service . . .  

Due to this experience I cancelled my Home Warranty. I do not trust a company that would send this company to help someone.

Initially scheduled 10 days out and when I called to inquire about the timeframe on the date of my appt, I was informed they would need to reschedule. 2 days later they arrive and misdiagnosed the issue, and now I am waiting on another part 8 days after the delayed initial visit. No offers to reduce fee or apologies provided. Do not buy LG stove and do not call Advanced if you want to use your stove within a month. When I called around to find a repairman for the LG, another company stated I hate to suggest Advanced because of their horrible customer service but they do LG repairs. Pay someone from another town, it is probably cheaper and faster.

Advance does a fine job when they show up. They give you an 8 hour window for a service call and then the day of your service they call and reschedule for a different day. If you want to feel less than important or have lots of time to waste definitely give them a call

My home warranty company arranged for Advanced Appliance Service to come to my home to repair an outside leak between my mentor and the pipe that runs to my home.

On the day of my scheduled appointment, the technician called me to confirm that he was coming. When the two technicians arrived, they were friendly and we had a pleasant conversation. I felt comfortable having them in my home.

The technicians did not do any work this day, but they did a quick assessment and we talked about things such as what they believed would be a repair plan.

As we talked, the technicians were very honest about short staffing, and a shortage of supplies/longer order time. This was totally understandable, given the current conditions we are all navigating. I was told that the technicians would need to get approval from their boss before working on the repair.

One of the technicians told me he would call me the day after with an update. I did not receive that call, so I called my home warranty company, and they didn't have much to say. Since my communication had been with my warranty company, I thought it would be best to keep it that way so we didn't get into a loop of miscommunication.

We are a week and two days out from the visit, and I have yet to hear anything. Fortunately, we found a different company to come to repair the leak.

Again, the technicians that were sent out were very friendly, and I was looking forward to working with them. However, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication. I know things are difficult regarding labor and supplies - and would have been completely fine with a phone call to update me on what the next steps were.

I had a Samsung ice maker that wasn't making ice. Technicians came out within a couple of days of my service request which was great. they quickly removed the complete ice maker after melting the frozen water backup...cleaned and reinstalled and reset it.  within an hour or so I heard ice dropping into the bucket! personable, neatly cleaned up after themselves ...
would recommend for sure.

I have used Advanced Appliance for years and sadly, I will use them no more.  They used to be excellent, but have clearly gone way down in the last few years.  I paid for a 5 year maintenance contract with them on my furnace, we are on year 3 and I'm going to pay someone else to do maintenance.  Each time they come out for regular service, the unit is working fine, then they service it and within a day it stops working. Then they try to tell me something is wrong and it's going to cost me a lot to fix it.  Sometimes I've paid, sometimes I've complained and they eventually send out a senior technician who says the 1st guy made a mistake, everyone has to learn.  My last experience with them was that they scheduled an appointment, didn't come, didn't call to give a 2 hour window as they said they would and didn't let me know until afternoon that they wouldn't come at all and wanted to reschedule for the next day.  When I called and asked them if they would like to know why I will not be using them in the future, they said yes, then wouldn't listen, talked over me and called me names.  I'm done with them.

Terrible.  On the first visit, two technicians came to diagnose the problem.  They admitted they were not familiar with Samsung models.  After thoroughly attempting to diagnose the machine they said that a couple of parts had gone bad and would need to be ordered.  Parts were ordered and an expected delivery date of the parts was emailed to me.  I called a couple of days before they were to arrive to schedule and appt.  I was told that they would not schedule an appt without parts having been received and inspected.  They would call me to schedule.  Three days after the parts were scheduled to be delivered I called to get an update.  Parts were received but nobody called.  Appt was scheduled for the next week.  This technician, Patrick, arrived to put on the parts.  He said he did not think the parts that were ordered were actually going to fix the issue but he would put them on.  After putting on the parts he said additional parts needed to be ordered.  A week goes by no call from Advance  I called to see when parts would arrive and was told that the ticket had been closed.  I asked why because my machine was still not functioning properly.  They had no answer and said that Patrick would have to call me to discuss.  After most of the day passed and no call from Patrick I called my home warranty company.  They called Advanced Appliance to get the ticket reopen.  They came back with the same story, Patrick is going to call you within minutes.  This was at about 4:45 on Friday.  can anyone guess if I received a call from Patrick.  Well, I won't keep you in suspense the answer is a big NO.  So  I called my warranty company back on Monday and they wound up assigning a new contractor to my service order because Advanced Appliance is not trained to work on Samsung washers.  To which I asked Why would you send them out to work on my washer, and more importantly why would they accept the job????  Still waiting on an answer on this questions but I think we all know answer to that question.  So ultimately they accepted the job initially and when they could not resolve the issue they closed the ticket without notifying anyone and left me hanging and delaying the repair at least an additional week.

My dryer light was no longer working and it was taking too long for the dryer to dry a single load.  Advanced Appliance to the rescue!  They came out to inspect the dryer, ordered parts and returned in about 10 days to clean out the line and replace the part.  Their communication efforts throughout the process were A-1.  The service technician was prompt, courteous and my dryer is as good as new!

HVAC personnel was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and fix the problem in short order.  For the past 3 years I've had to call my home warranty for the same issue with my air during the peak summer season.  Advanced Appliance Service was the first to come in and when they left the air was working as it should.  Highly reccomend them especially if they send the person that came to my house.  I regret I didn't get his name.

For some reason it wouldnt let me give 5 stars.  4 is the most it would let me give.

Worst company we have ever used. They came out when we called about a leak in our kitchen. That first visit, they were here for 10 minutes and said there's nothing wrong. Fast forward 12 days later when we called again about the leak. They came out and GUTTED our kitchen and completely knocked out our electricity in our basement. It's been 2 weeks and our kitchen is still messed up with no electricity and they keep trying to charge us thousands of dollars for THEIR mess up. Go somewhere else if you need help. These guys are absolutely awful and only care about money. We are considering contacting an attorney.
