If there was a higher number than ***** I would give that. These people are the best. The came to the house within less than a day of when I called, exactly when they said they would be here. They were the friendliest guys in the world and they did a super professional job. You will not be sorry if you call them.

Curtis is the type of person you beg to show up when you blindly call a new company in crisis mode. He responded to our call at 9pm last night after our main water line was clogged and flooded the back part of our basement and promised to show up at 7am the next morning. Not only did he show up but he was kind, professional and reassuring. He fixed the problem quickly (within 30min) and kindly suggested doing a yearly maintenance, which I won't even think twice about doing. I'm so grateful we found this company and highly recommend it to anyone in need.

Called them after I noticed my bathroom sink started to drain slowly. After a quick call, Zach came out to my house and fixed the issue quickly. They did great work for a fair price, communicated well, and are good people I'd trust in my home any time. Will be using them again.

Thank you A Budget. I was home alone with the kids on a Saturday morning while my husband was out handling a family health issue. I realized we had a backup in the basement and we called A Budget. Curtis answered the phone himself, listened to the problem and came within the hour. He also took great care to reassure my husband that he was a safe person to send into our house considering who was home. He came and immediately identified the issue and put me at ease. He fixed the problem and showed me where it was and what he did. He could have overcharged me considering the precarious situation we were in, but he didn't. He was fair, knowledgeable and responsive. I would recommend Curtis to anyone needing this service.

We recently purchased an old 2-family home, and there were quite a few surprises, including plumbing issues.  Curtis was very helpful, professional, and reasonably priced.  He was able to unclog the kitchen sink in the rental unit and diagnose a couple other things (e.g., broken radiator) for us to follow up on.  Overall, a very positive experience and would absolutely hire him again when needed.

WOW- Zachary is the real deal. He is curtis's son. I called Tues night to leave a message about unclogging our exterior drain on the side of our house. They came out the following afternoon (45 min late, but I cannot even complain because they do a thorough job). Be flexible on the time. If they are running late just know they are not rushing your job too so that is why.

Him and his partner were super friendly. Up front too. They told us it was a 50/50 shot if it was going to be fixable because if a tree root punctured the pipe then we would have to dig up to repair.

They were able to unclog it within 35 min. Super fast. 5 Star service. I definitely will keep these guys in my phone book for the future. He said he recommends gutter protectors to avoid this in the future so no leaves get in there to clog drains. :) CALL THESE GUYS

As a new homeowner you often fear calling some of these home service providers after an emergency but you take your chances and hope you get a good one. Curtis is definitely a good, honest and reliable one. He came through with professional equipment and solved the problem at a very fair rate. A-budget is the way to go period.

Sump pump was sounding weird last night and died an untimely death overnight. I had reached out to several plumbers who advertised that they were open Sundays. Only 1 reached out to say they weren't available.
Reading so many wonderful reviews about Curtis last night, I placed a call of desperation to him this morning.
He is a true gentleman and businessman! While he does not replace sump pumps, he referred me to someone that came literally within minutes and did the job on a Sunday morning. Curtis even called to check that they were able to get it done for us today because he had another plumber who could.
It is a rare thing to have someone extend themselves to help others these days!!
You better believe we are hiring Curtis to clean our drain lines soon!

Where do I start?
Curtis and his family are very professional, reliable and skilled at the work they do. You don't find that many people you can trust these days, especially when a woman calls to get an estimate, not knowing the nature of this work and how much things cost. Valerie, the wife was very communicative and made sure to update me on ETA through out the day. Zack and Anthony came and assured me that they will take care of the issue no matter how long it takes. I was really blessed to come across this family business. They are well mannered and have strong work ethics.
They went far beyond expectations by coming back to make sure I'm okay and cleaning my basement of the backup that came out of the drains. Not only that, but Zack referred me to a company that can help out cleaning and sanitizing the basement and was able to get them to come out in minutes Vs me chasing people and going through customer service. I honestly can say more but I'm going to end it with, if you need any drain sewer work, no one can do the job better than Zack and Anthony.

Curtis was very respectable over the phone. When his son Zach came by, he looked at an issue I suspected related to be a sewer problem. He looked around and did some test and told me he didn't think it was a sewer problem. He said he could snake it and charge me to see if it fixes the problem (which only occurs when it rains), but he said you should save your money because he doesn't think it will solve the issue. He shared his thoughts on what it could be and why the issue is happening without any cost. He referred me to another person to check out if it was related to a sump pump issue. I respect honesty and free advice.

Our kitchen sink was clogged and we called Budget Sewer & Drain Cleaning and we will definitely recommend them to our friends and family. Curtis and Valerie  called us immediately and coordinated a date and time service will be provided. On the day of service the tech Zachary called us ahead of time to confirm our appointment. Zachary was very professional and proficient he cleared the water trapped in the drain and brought his snake and cleared it out. The snake was  in 50 ft deep.

I had a clogged line that backed up my washing machine, dish washer, and kitchen sink.  Water was all over my kitchen floor, and in the basement.  Desperate, I found Curtis on Yelp and he was the only one who could come out that day.  It took him a little longer than he expected to clear out the blockage, but that was because there were years of grease build-up in the pipes.  Curtis was on-time, polite, and cleaned up the mess from the pipes.  I couldn't be happier with his service.

I had a back up in my east orange property. Curtis came within the hour and fixed the problem. Awesome customer service and reasonably priced!

The entire experience, from our initial call to schedule to the work they came and performed at our home, was top quality customer service. I generally prefer not to give 5 star reviews unless someone really deserves it. I feel it in some ways it diminishes the rating, and makes the reviewer seem like a fan boy.

In this case, these guys deserve it.

I've been calling Curtis for 5 years or so, he was a reference from someone else who said he did good work.

He mostly assists with any plumbing issue or clog in an investment property. Initially we lived there, but have since moved out. When any contractor goes to the property, I ask the tenants how they were and Curtis gets a green light & kudos each time (on time? respectful? Professional? Any issue where you would not recommend I call them next time?)

Pricing:
Nobody likes to think get are getting a bad deal. I believe Curtis's prices are fair for quality work.

Highly complex plumbing:
I've mostly had normal and minor plumbing issues and repairs. From the main line in the house to all 3 units. Curtis has handled it all.
I don't know what he couldn't do, but I haven't had any $1k+ plumbing job for him yet, though I am not sure what that would be luckily.

Proactive:
One thing I always look for is contractors who are proactive. These guys are that as well.
Especially with plumbing, PLEASE always tell me when I can replace a small part to avoid a possible leak with massive water damage.  

So if you are looking for a plumber you can trust at a fair price. Try these guys.

We had an issue with our sewer line and the problem was affecting us showering and using any water. We called around 8:30am & they were here by 10:45am. Quick, efficient, & cleaned up after themselves.

I called Curtis in the morning about my backed up sewer line. He told me he could fit me in an 1 hr.  He actually came earlier then that. He and his helper were very professional and got the job done quickly and to my satisfaction. I highly recommend him for sewer line cleaning.

Curtis runs a business with integrity. He and his son, Zachary are professionals of their craft. Before he came out to provide an estimate, Curtis gave me several possible scenarios as to why I was experiencing the issue. He then also explained that I can try a methods with him over the phone and he would walk me through it to see if my issue will be resolved or he could still come out and provide a free estimate. I opted for him to come out to provide free estimate and he did. He was prompt and courteous. He narrowed my problem to two possible issues and explained that his resolution may not solve the problem therefore I have the option to try another course of action.
I appreciate his honesty as a business man and a professional person of his craft. He even provided additional services that was not originally a part of my problem. His prices are also very affordable. I highly recommend this business for their professionalism, promptness, courtesy, affordability and most importantly; honesty. Thank you.

Wow. I read all the reviews and they are dead on.  I called and Curtis talked to me for 15 minutes telling me the potential sources of the problem and fixes.  He spent all that time and then told me that if I want to do a replacement job (one of the options) he does not do that but then gave me the numbers of two guys he trusts that do handle that kind of work. I was shocked,  he spent all that time walking me through it only to refer me out.  He could have just said he doesn't do it and hung up but he took the time.  Not only that, he told me the probably cost the other guys would charge and then told me to ask specific questions so I would not get overcharged.  Curtis did not do any work for me this time but if I have a back up or drain issue in the future he is absolutely who I am going to call.  Very nice man.

I never write a review but I had to for this experience.   Im very happy and pleased I called A Budget for my issue.  I called at 3pm, arrived at 4pm and fixed by 5pm.
Fast, competitive pricing and professional.  Identified the blockage in the main and cleared it 80' out.  
Cleaned up after themselves and provided preventative maintenance advice.  
I will be utilizing them for any plumbing work/issues and recommending them to all my friends.

All that and he charged me half of what the other guys do.  ( i used one of those other guys in my home prior).

I called at 6 am because of a sewer backup at my office, it had to be rectified quickly because we were expecting patients. They responded immediately and took care of the problem. I was really impressed that the owner came himself, was truly professional and cleaned up everything afterward.
This is a family owned business so they won't treat you like some of the bigger chains.

Curtis is a godsend. I called with a clogged up toilet and he came really quickly within two hours. He had all the right equipment with him so there's none of the crazy running around like one of the other plumbers did. All of the YELP  reviews were spot on, what a great shop.
I spoke to Curtis this morning about an appointment and he totally worked with my schedule.
I got a call a few hours later for his son Zack confirming the appt and giving me a 30 minute window when he would arrive. Zack was perfectly on time.
Zack and his partner diagnosed the problem within about 30 seconds, it was a trap that needed clearing in a well in my basement.
He explained the issue very clearly to me, and told me what the problem was. Zack and his partner had the issue corrected within a few minutes. He was very knowledgable and explained to me what was going on every step of the way.
I really can't say enough good things about this company. They were great on the phone communicating, they were on time, flexible with my schedule, they were friendly, and best of all very honest and fair.

Someone had dropped a glass in the toilet during the holiday party and decided flushing it would be the solution. The toilet water was rising up and draining slowly so I was pretty concerned.

I reached out and within the hour, Zach was at the house. Not only was he able to fix the problem, he also gave me tips on maintenance which I appreciate. He fixed the problem so quick my wife didn't even return from her walk with the pup!

I will 1000% be a returning customer + refer them to everyone. You won't regret going with them!!

Looking for a plumber can be very daunting. I googled and yelped 3 different plumbers since buying my home in 2013.

We recently experienced a clog in our kitchen sink. I called maybe 5-6 different plumbers, all found on Yelp and Curtis was the first and only person that could come out to evaluate it and attempt to fix it on the weekend of New Year's Eve (Average outside temp of 8-14 degrees F)

Curtis made every attempt to repair the issue, spending roughly 3-5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, due to my home's plumbing design and age, Curtis could not repair it and referred another plumber to complete the job.

He did not bill me until the other plumber was able to unclog it and even went to say I want you to be satisfied first and everything working before charging you.  

Curtis is definitely a plumber I will be using in the future and I will be recommending him to family and friends.  To find an honest plumber is not an easy task and I won't be letting go.
