I really don't know how the other reviewers had such high praise, but my experience was very different.  I guess because I'm a male he felt that it was okay to use foul language in my presence.  He did take care of the clog in the line, but I had to reach for my heart medication once I received his invoice.  I did some research afterward and had one source tell me that Greg has an extensive motorcycle collection and now I know how he pays for it.  This guy has got to be kidding with his fees.  SUPER EXPENSIVE!  Really..... $750.00 for 5 hours of work?  The next year I called a friend of mine who just bought a electric eel which did the same work Greg took 5 hours to do in 20 minutes.  Greg brags about having all the latest tools and technology, but he used a traditional snake and took 5 hours to do a job that would have taken 20 minutes with a better tool.  Well I guess he couldn't charge $750.00 if he only took 20 minutes.

UPDATE!  I spoke with Mr. Peterson over the phone and he seemed genuinely apologetic with regard to my experience and also expressed an interest in the tool my friend used to clear the septic line which by the way is called an Electric Eel Model C.  In my opinion, just reaching out to me the way he did puts him way ahead of most other contractors.  His interest in the tool leads me to think he has a real interest in upgrading his plumbing practice.  I have a feeling that if I asked he would give me a partial refund in order to ensure my satisfaction, but I don't write reviews for that reason, so I won't pursue that angle.  I am upgrading his star rating to 4 stars.

Greg Petersen is the real deal, the best of the best.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Greg and his service to anyone.  You cannot ask for a more reliable, honest, experienced and knowledgeable plumber who goes above and beyond to solve problems at a fair price, all with a smile on their face!  After quickly and efficiently solving our somewhat unusual sink leakage issue, Greg is our new 'go to' plumber who we will now keep on speed dial.  Thank you, Greg, for setting the highest standard of integrity in the industry!

Petersen Plumbing is your best bet- from run of the mill clogged toilets to more complex jobs, Greg is your guy. He's at the top of his game and he's responsive, excellent customer service with very fair pricing and he's great at helping problem solve to get you the right solution. He really came through for us when two other plumbing services couldn't address the issue we had- issue is now 100% resolved, perfectly.

Greg has been our plumber since we moved to Carson City the fall of 2019. He has done a wide variety of work for us on several occasions as we have been renovating our house here before and after we moved in. He has replaced our pressure regulator for the house, installed several new toilet flanges and rings, repiped our gas line to accommodate our new stove, installed sinks and faucets and helped to reconfigure a tub to a large stand up shower. Greg is always super nice and always willing to explain options and provide a recommendation.  When we have a plumbing issue or question, we call Greg and know the job will get done right.

Petersen plumbing was fantastic from beginning to end! I had a horrible plumber come prior who tried to take me for $32,000! Mr. Peterson showed up quickly, solved the problem with a smile on his face & took care of everything! Their prices are as fantastic as their service! I highly recommend them and will call no other plumber!

Greg has been our plumber for over a decade, he is extremely reliable and we use him for our home and business.  I loathe plumbing issues and Greg always fits us into his schedule even if it means a longer day for him.. everyone knows when plumbing is involved, it's an emergency! I love his sense of humor while he is busy working away at our plumbing issue, great work and entertainment at the same time?!

Greg is hands down the best plumber around! I have been underwhelmed by most services since living in Carson for almost a decade, so to say I found my plumber means a lot. He is very responsive and goes out of his way to fix things in a timely manner. Very friendly, personable, professional, and reasonably priced. We just had a garbage disposal leak last week that caused water damage throughout the house. I left a message late Friday and he called me first thing Monday morning and squeezed me into his day. He fixed the garbage disposal and did a few extras we have been wanting done. He also calls be my name and remembers me even after not seeing him for over a year. Something that isn't experienced often. It means a lot to me that he remembers me and doesn't treat me like a number. Because of this I'm not surprised that he is so busy and has accumulated such a high bank of customers. Highly recommended!

Greg is awesome had him come out to one of our facilities. He came in, did what he had to do and off on his way he was. He seems like a really nice guy with a great sense of humor.

Over a year ago Greg helped us install a gas line for a propane stove, so today (a Sunday) we called to see if he could help us with a bad leak (that required water shut off). Due to a schedule conflict he wasn't able to come out to the house but he spent considerable time on the phone helping us troubleshoot by looking at photos and asking questions and making suggestions. As a result we were able to hold the emergency plumber to one (expensive!) hour to fix the leak (and get water back on) well enough to hold until regular business hours. It really goes beyond when a professional is so helpful, even when not being paid for the advice. We'll be calling him again.

We have had several things fixed by Greg and he's as good as it gets!  Not only is Greg a great guy, but he is an expert plumber.  I highly recommend him.

Greg is amazing. We were having our floors taken out when my brother in law hit one of the pipes for the floor board heater and punctured it and then the main valve broke when he tried to shut off the water. Greg was able to come out the next morning and fix the broken valve and fix the pipe that was punctured all for a decent price. I couldn't recommend Petersen plumbing enough, definitely the first company I would call when I need a job done.

I don't want to see my plumber often... but I sure want a good one when I need one and Greg Peterson has been that around these parts for many, many years.  Polite, professional and a guy who handles business quickly and efficiently is what you'll get.  Super plumbing services!!!

The control valve on my shower/tub combo was shot and I couldn't shut the water off.  OH NO!!  So I turned the whole-house system off at the pressure tank and called Greg.  It's the Monday after Mother's Day and there were several other urgent calls for his services but Greg cheerfully assured me that he would squeeze me in. He certainly came through.  Not only was the shower/tub valve replaced promptly, but Greg also took the time to look at AND repair FIVE other minor but annoying plumbing problems in my home...all in an hour and 15 minutes!  Greg was prompt, friendly, professional and quick...all at at fee that was kind to my checkbook.  I will definitely use his services again and recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Called Greg Petersen today because I had a small flood in the garage of my rental property.   He sounded very personable on the phone, so I decided to go with him.  He was very busy that day, but still made time for my little crisis.  He showed up on time and did a very professional job (you can just tell that he has years of experience).  He's a very friendly guy and easy to talk to.  Strongly recommend him.

Greg is a fantastic, enthusiastic, and highly skilled plumber.  Over the past couple of decades living in Carson City I have, on more than one occasion, had to seek out his services for a plumbing problem.  He has at all times finished the job quickly, professionally, and at a very reasonable cost.  It is his business, he owns it, and he is obviously proud of it - justifiably!

We had a gas leak from a previous plumber and the gas company shut off our gas. Gas guy said he thought the process to get it back on would take 2 to 3 days. Greg had us fixed and inspected and gas back on in 12 hours. Greg is the best!

We had PPS replace two shower controls.  We had to remove some tile to do so, and coordinate his work with a drywall specialist.  The timing worked well and his communication was great.

And for the life of me, I can't distinguish where the tile was removed and replaced.  Really clean work.

I had a horrible experience with this plumber, first he was 20 minutes late and I was on a lunch break to meet him. He did apologize but I told him I had to return to my job soon. I am a renter and management company sent him out. There are two distinct odors coming from sink and he basically said he couldn't smell anything. He then went on to tell me how I should clean under the sink and grabbed a planter in a mocking kinda of way saying like this and put it to his nose basically saying the issue was that I had not cleaned under the sink. He said I should remove the paper (put there by management company not me) He would not hear me when I said that the stench was there prior to my putting any products or anything else under the sink. He was very rude and condescending. So I said do not speak to me in a condescending manner. I think he said lets move on to the next issue which is sediment coming out of the faucet. He treated me as if I were in idiot and told me the pipes were being flushed out in my area and was I not aware?! I the management company informed me and I offered to wait on having plumber come out, they sent him anyway. I did not appreciate his tone, demeanor, or lack of respect. I had a teacher acquaintance with me and she said, wow, I can't believe how he spoke to you! He may be highly rated with others but my experience was negative from the start. He even said he had  to squeeze me in when we made an appt. more than a week prior set at my lunch time. When I sent a text asking him to text me when he would be arriving he was already rude. I get being gruff but this man was more than unprofessional, he was belittling.

So this is the 3rd communication this plumber has written about me.  He has written a bad review on a company who he claimed was rude to his wife and called out the receptionist by name. So apparently only Mr. Peterson can be wronged! You got a negative review because of your disrespectful attitude towards me which can be corroborated by an impartial 3rd party who I am lucky was present. You are now harassing me, only proving my point about you. I don't know a person who would tolerate being disrespected in their own home! I I definitely have my opinions as to why this individual thought he could talk to me in this way. Standing up for oneself is never wrong.  Grow up!

Greg is extremely responsive, professional, intelligent and capable. I recently had a plumbing emergency. Greg was busy working on other assignments but found a way to help me in my time of need. He was respectful, courteous and efficient, and his recommendations and follow up were appropriate given the situation. The cost of his service was reasonable. I highly recommend Greg. He is trustworthy, reliable and competent.

This guy is as GOOD AS IT GETS! Greg will bend over backwards to make sure you're satisfied. He knows his stuff does a GREAT clean job and is very accommodating. When your hot water heater goes down, especially in the winter, it is darn. Eat an emergency.  I knew Greg through mutual acquaintances so I decided to try out his service.  called him Thursday morning and the first thing that impressed me was his work phone message said to leave a detailed message and he'd callback the next business day.  He further stated if it is an emergency to call his cell phone, and supplied the number.
Greg called me the next morning, discussed the issue and he says he will order the part and try to get it installed today.  Fast Forward to 1:30 pm and we have hot water.  
Greg is professional, personable and price is fair.  He has a great customer centric work ethic and I highly recommend his service.

Our circulating pump decided to just quit on us and it was taking a huge amount of time and water to get our hot water to the outer reaches of our home. We contacted Petersen Plumbing Services through Yelp and Greg responded within an hour. We scheduled him to come out and replace the pump and our 20-year-old water heater and he did a fantastic job at a fair price, and even came out a day earlier than we anticipated. I highly recommend this company and great guy!

If i could give Greg 6 stars i would! We had a gas small coming from our brand new hot water heater and had been out of hot water for a few days. Greg took my call at 9:30am and by 12:00pm was at my house -even with a completely full schedule. He really took the time to figure out where the problem was coming from and was even willing to let me watch and showed me what was causing the problem. Great attitude, great work, great price. Best of all - no more gas smell! I know who to call if we ever have a plumbing problem again! Thank you so much, Greg!

Would have liked to at least talked to Greg in person. Waited 2 weeks to get an appointment at my house. Drove 2 hrs to get there early to make sure I would be on time. At my scheduled appt time I called to see if we still had an appt. Greg said he would call me right back. 1hr and 45 min later he called back. Don't know how much longer I would have had to wait to get the work actually done, but I guess  I won't find out as I have hired another company that came to my house in 2 days and will have the work done in 1 week. Greg either needs to hire more help or not take on so much work.

I had Greg Petersen remove the old water heater and install a new one.
He did a great job as always. He even went above and beyond to figure out
how to connect to the old electric hook up so I did not have to call an electrician. He was prompt, on time, professional, personable  and had a very good price. I would use his company again and do recommend him.

Greg is the best! We ordered a new water heater to replace a 8 year old one because we weren't getting enough hot water. Well Greg came out and we found that the water heater was incorrectly installed. So he ended up fixing it for $125 and anyone else would have sold us a new water heater and hopefully installed it right. You won't find a better plumber around!

We had an emergency at our rental house and the tenant had three children . Not great with plumbing problems. Greg Petersen was there before the end of the day and took care of the problem. It really created a long work day for him but he got the job done. The happiest plumber in Nevada, always nice always cheerful, great guy.
