Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Reno / Sparks

Richard came out to look at our water heater where the expansion tank sprung a leak. During our first call, he helped me stop the leak without having to come out and charge me. The next day, he showed up first thing and verified the problem. I have a home warranty and Richard spent quite a long time on the phone with them getting the work authorized. Turned out, the whole water heater needed to be replaced, and Richard took it upon himself to call the warranty company and got the authorization to replace it. The next day, he was at our home, replaced the unit in a very short time. Richard did great work, helped us with the warranty company, and was alway prompt and ready to work. We will be using Mr. Rooter from here forward.

One word Amazing! When I had plumbing issue at 3 am I call other 24 hours services and no one called me back, even a day later still haven't called me.Josh call me back within and hour and was at my home. He worked tirelessly to unclog my bathroom drain. He got the job done.

Do not use them for septic issues!!! They messed up our septic system and clearly have no understanding about how septic systems work. We had to bring in another company to undo what these guys had done.

As everyone knows, we are in the middle of shelter in place.  What a great time to have a toilet back up. I searched for a plumber online because  i didn't have anyone that i used recently, and Ben Franklin is evidently not in the area any more.  The technician, Richi, came earlier than the scheduled time and was finished within an hour.  Worked with me on the price because of the current situation and did an excellent job.  I will definitely call him again.  I very much appreciate his kindness and his wonderful work ethic.  Highly recommend!!

Anderson came out Saturday when I had a flood from the sprinkler system at my brand new house. Did a great job at a very reasonable price. My husband is disabled and it's nice to know I have a plumbing company I can count on after just moving to Sparks!

They fixed my aunt and uncles two toilet flaps but charged them  500 dollars!! Talk about highway robbery! No other plumbing issues. No toilet replacement nothing! Just two flaps! They are in their mid 80's and I feel they took total advantage of them. That's elder abuse if I ever saw it. So watch out. They target older people.

They took my info. Then the lady said that dispatch will call to schedule or see if they can come out today. They never returned my call. So went to another company there lose.

Called for an appointment two weeks ago. Was told will receive a call back the same day. They called back two days later in late afternoon stating they have someone available. Told the lady on the phone that it wouldn't be feasible as it was last minute. Made an appointment for this afternoon. Received a call at 4::05 and was told the plumber won't be here until 6:30. Very irresponsible.

Chad and his team at Mr. Rooter plumbing were amazing. We just purchased our first house, and as soon as we moved in, sewage started leaking under the house. Chad was very frank from the beginning about all of the plumbing issues we had, and did a great job advising the best solutions, while keeping cost in mind. They documented everything and kept us in the loop the entire time. They worked extremely fast and did the best they could to get us back up and running as quickly as possible. We still have more plumbing issues to take care of with the main sewer line, but we started replacing the plumbing under the house first. As soon as we start the main line work, I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter.

I was very happy with the service. They were great with communications and did a wonderful job at my house. They unclogged my bath tub quickly and were neat, clean, and respectful.

Daniel was our service tech and he changed out our kitchen faucet.  He was polite, very professional, and did a great job.  We highly recommend this company!

I called around to 5 or 6 places because my kitchen sink was clogged. It became clogged because someone was dumb enough to rinse tile grout down the sink. ( we aren't going to mention names)  Mr Rooter have me a reasonable estimate over the phone and they were able to dispatch a worker within the hour. Joshua arrived and was able to run a snake 2 times to clear my drain. He tested it several times to ensure proper function and Eben checked the front clean out pipe outside. He was up front and told me the price before he started. It was within mid range of the phone quote. He was curteous and professional and now my litchen sink drain works like a charm. It only cost $245 and I was happy to pay it.
Lesson learned....don't rinse grout down kitchen sink,  and if somehow your sink gets clogged call Mr. ROOTER

To say I was pleased with the service I received from Mr Rooter, would be an understatement.  We had a leaking main valve outside our house.  It was causing some pretty substantial pooling/flooding in front of our house.  

I called Mr Rooter that afternoon and they had two guys show up within 2 hours of the call.  The guys were super nice and professional.  I showed them where I found the leaking valve and where the water was coming up and pooling.  The water was also running into the street.  I had to shut the water off to the house for the night.

It was already late that day so they said they would be coming back.  They provided me with a quote and stated they would be back soon.  The next morning at 7am sharp, I received a call from (the owner I believe).  He said they would be coming out ASAP.  

The same 2 guys from the previous day arrived just after 8am and got to work.  They were very nice and professional and told us every time they would be leaving to get a part and explained our costs thoroughly.

The Mr Rooter guys worked at our house for over 9 hours and got the job done.  The price was fair and they were very efficient.  

I got a call from the owner afterwards and he asked if I had any questions and explained everything in detail.  If you are looking for any sort of plumbing needs, use Mr Rooter!!!

Mr. Rooter lied to me and didn't do the work they had been paid to do.

I paid Mr. Rooter $4000 to replace the sewer line at my house. Their bid clearly stated, replace sewer line from the house to the city main.

Two years later I began having sewage backups. I discovered that Mr. Rooter's sewer line replacement stopped 3 feet short of the city main line. Those three feet now have root intrusion and need to be replaced.

The owner, Jerry Enwald, sent me a letter admitting that their replacement did not go all the way to the city main line. He then claimed that anything five (5) feet off of the City Main Line is considered the city main line. Therefor, he wrote, he had fulfilled the contract.

This is like an Uber driver stopping five blocks from your house and saying anything 5 blocks from your house is considered your house. It's untrue and it's fraud.

These people are liars and cons. Do not hire them. They underbid the competition by not actually doing the work.

They contacted me based on information I had submitted on Home Advisor seeking assistance with a clogged toilet. They seemed pretty eager and responsive because it was early the next morning after I submitted the evening before. They were ready to come over right away but I made an appointment for the next day. Another company contacted me but they wanted a $29 fee to inspect and make a bid. I was trying to compare bids but I didn't like the fee thing.

The day of the appointment, they called me and told me when they would be there. They showed up, assessed the issues, and fixed the problem. It was a simple issue but I liked how the technician, Josh, had asked questions before he got there and explained what he was doing. He was low key, friendly and easy to talk to.

The problem was pretty basic and I have no idea how the pricing compared with other providers since I didn't get any other bids, but I'm happy and the problem was solved quickly and responsively.

I recently(7/23/18) had a Mr. Rooter plumber technician come out to fix a clogged kitchen drain at my home. It was difficult clog with grease that was far into the drain system.The Technician did a great job in clearing the problem. Made sure that the drain clear was completed in checking his work to ensure this. Cleared the clog well. Good customer service, friendly and shared some excellent advise on how to prevent this problem in the future. I would recommend their service and seek their services in the future for any other plumbing work. Thank you.

So called this company for a clogged drain. Well got a quote scheduled an appointment to have a garbage disposal installed and pipes redone under the sink plus fix a leaking pipe. The day of all of sudden a week later it was a few hundred more was not playing this car dealership type crap said no it's the quote and that's it! Ok so they agreed. Wow imagine that going by a quote!The piping looks good will say that the garbage disposal well it's installed but that was it sooo ok can't use it! Then they resnaked the pipe further down then before and said oh it's a collapsed pipe we don't do that packed up and left no info on what to do next and we never been through this! Then a few days after noticed behind our TV the wall that they were working behind had a hole right where they were working and cracked! Wth! And they had to of seen this from the other side cause there was a hole! So ok thanks had to fix that! So if you call these guys out make sure nothing else is damaged like the wall!

I'd give them 10 stars, if able. I discovered RAW sewage in my front yard this morning & called their offices. Linda answered my desperate call. She was kind, compassionate and responsive. By 1:30pm, Chad and Jared were here and saved my weekend!!!

There's more to be done and some may even fall on the City of Reno. Chad was so kind in his explanation and he didn't condescend to me at all.

I highly recommend this company.

Normally I stick to positive reviews, yet I had such a horrendous experience with this company I feel compelled to let anyone considering them know what I had to deal with.

To make a very long story short, this company caused a significant amount of property damage. They intentionally neglected to obtain the permits that were required, and their methods of performing the work were so dangerous that OSHA investigated and fined them. The State Contractors Board had a list of fifteen items this company was required to remedy.

One thing my experience with this company has taught me is to thoroughly research prior to hiring.

Needed a new flange and seal on a toilet. Called at about 12pm and was told a technician would be out after 5pm and I would receive a call soon to confirm.
4pm comes around - no call. I call them back only to go through the whole rundown of giving them all my information and being told the local dispatch would call soon. I managed to get the local dispatch number only to call them and have me run through the same information grab.
Completely useless to have a National brand that doesn't have a system that stores and shares information with its own branches.

Had a sudden problem at 6 pm with our toilet. Called Mr. Rooter and was immediately connected to a polite and professional person.  The dispatcher then called me back to let me know a technician would be calling me in their way which shouldn't be too long.  Sure enough, Travis the technician called and said he'd be here in ten minutes.  My toilet was unclogged and kind, knowledgeable Travis was out the door by 7:10 pm. I'll never flush a lady product down the toilet again, but if something else comes up, this is who I will call.

So my wife calls for a plugged toilet and urinal at the restaurant, they quote her a $250 min. And she agrees. First thing the guys do when they arrive is tell her, no it's a $325 minimum. She calls BS and they agree to the original quote. After unclogging the toilet they tell her that they need to pull the urinal off the wall and need an additional $800 to $1,000 authorization. Now I was a plumber for 25 years but am out of town. I get on the phone and this guy tries to BS me as to why it's such a difficult job. I just replaced a urinal at our other location, took me 30 minutes, including clean up, washing my hands and picking my nose. After letting him dig himself a big hole of lies I let him know about my work history. He is so deep into his story, he won't back down and even insists that unclogging the urinal wasn't included at all in the original $250 minimum quote. This guy is a scammer/fraud who preys on people he figures don't know anything except the line of BS he is spewing. Buyer Beware, much better service companies out there that charge an honest price for an honest job!

The worst! I told my tenent to call Easy Rooter and they mistakenly called Mr Rooter. I was charged 2 1/2 times more than Easy Rooter charged me for the same service. Then the next day i had to call them back and redo the job. Bad work, horrible price an all around terrible experience.

Everyone from the office staff to the techs that repaired my sewer line were very professional.   The job was was pretty involved requiring digging up my front yard to access the broken pipe.  They had all the right equipment including a tractor.  The entire job was completed in about 3 hours which I think is pretty amazing.   Plumbing repairs are a pain but these these guys made the whole process seamless.

I've been with Mr Rooter since 2003/2004. They've done any plumbing work I've needed.

They are even better now! We had some issues with previous work, and they have been very responsive and have come out right away and worked days to get things done.

I recommend then to everyone.
