Established in 1978.
Jackrabbit Plumbing is a Nevada company that was established in 1978 and soon after California licensing was added. The dual licensing was a necessity since the company is located within 20 miles of the California border. The company started out by providing plumbing for single-family dwellings. It since has expanded into multiple family dwellings, custom family dwellings, apartments, small and large commercial buildings, residential and commercial boilers, a service department and project designing. We have the experience and knowledge to get the job done right for you.

Woke up on Monday morning and our hot water heater was not working. Called them at 8:00 AM and the service man ( Scott) arrived at our house at 10:40 AM.  A controller on the heater was broken, and he didn't know how long it would take to get a new one and it would have cost about half the price of a new hot water heater.  The heater was out of warranty so we decided to get a new one(made in the USA).  Scott arrived today at 8:25 the next day and had the new heater installed and working by10:16 AM.  Very professional service!  The next time we need plumber we will definitely call Jackrabbit Plumbing! We will also be recommending their services to anyone that needs a plumber.  I would give them more that 5 stars if that was an option! Thanks Jacket Plumbing for the great service!

I did a kitchen remodel and thought I needed a gas line for my new gas oven.  They sent a technician out to remove the oven and then add a line from my main gas.   He couldn't detach the old oven basically looked at it for 2 hours.  He left and I had to call my handiman.  He removed oven in less than 30 min.
A gas line was found behind the old elect oven I didn't know about.   JR plumbing came back in a couple weeks to attach the oven to the gas line 12 inches from its rear.   Took less than an hour.   Basically I was billed about 700$ total for attaching my oven to the existing gas line.   My handiman said he had never heard of a gas plumber who couldn't remove an old oven.  I was charged hours of labor from JR plumbing for trying to remove the oven ( mostly looking at it) & still paid someone else to remove it!  When I explained to the billing person the manager should look at my charge they reduced the bill for less travel time! Still was well over 500$ to connect my gas oven.   I guess it depends who they send but it is hard to believe this was an experienced gas plumber.  If my handiman was licensed to attach the gas it would have taken him about an hour total..  they charged me over 4 hours labor over 100$ an hour.   This should have been an EASY job.

I would definitely recommend this company to any friend for plumbing services. I spoke with the company to compare other plumbing quotes that I received in my area, and got several great ideas about ways to resolve the issue I was experiencing. They were courteous and helpful even though they knew they weren't going to get my business (because I live in a different state). Their ideas eventually helped me resolve my plumbing issues, at half the price!

I apologize for the length of this review, however, I wanted to include enough detail that I hope will help anyone in need of this service circumvent the issues that we encountered and had to find out the hard and expensive way. Unfortunately, we had to learn the hard way/go through a couple of not so professional or honest companies before we found these good ones.  It took a bit of research and homework but was worth it in the end. I hope this information will be valuable to others who find themselves in this situation.
Scott from Jackrabbit plumbing was excellent. A real professional; he/his truck was well equipped... he had every tool, piece of equipment he needed (unlike the first 2 plumbers we brought in who didn't even have a ladder or maybe didn't want to get it off their truck). And most importantly, as it says on the side of his truck... he was HONEST! Rate and travel charges were fair and reasonable. When he accidentally broke a piece on our washer, he said he would either turn over to his insurance or come back with the part and repair it... a real class act.
We were referred to Jackrabbit by American Leak Detection Service from Stateline, NV, who also was excellent, btw. It was nice to have a more scientific approach to finding the leak, e.g. they used the inert gas helium to pressurize the system and a helium detector to hone in on the specific area with the problem vs. cutting open all of the walls and spraying with a soapy solution as had been used/recommended by the others who diagnosed/quoted the job. They found the leak within an hour of when they arrived. Fyi, Scott indicated that he also had a leak detector which used CO2, similar I imagine to American Leaks Helium detection which also may have been a viable alternative. Evidently, a professional plumber has this in his tool bag/has the capability to do smart detection as well. He did use CO2 via a tank he carried with him to pressurize the system, which probably aided him in confirming the leak as well. Again, he was well equipped and very professional.
Unfortunately, we had two other not very professional (or honest) plumbing companies come in and used the soapy water old school approach using only compressed air to pressurize the system, opened our wall for no reason, tore apart our fireplace, and were no closer to finding the leak than when they started not to mention left a gaping hole in the wall, a huge mess in our living room, and were very expensive for basically achieving nothing. And, they wanted to open more walls and recommended cutting/capping pipe to find the leak; I'm sure this would most likely have been the most expensive approach which worked out well for them, not so well for us. We figured that there had to be a better way. Btw, I will be posting appropriate reviews of these Angie List A+ Certified/A rated providers (Ha! Very misleading and not reliable at all!) re: what I thought of their service and character; see Angie's list and/or Yelp for these reviews.
Scott did use soapy water to confirm the leak, however, didn't have to track the leak that way or cut pipes to isolate the issue as he was informed as to where to look vs. the approach that recommended by our first 2 plumbers diagnosis. I still have to wonder why these other plumbers couldn't find the leak (it was a significant leak) with the soapy water as it evidently was easily identified by Scott when he used the soapy water (albeit, Scott did know where to look, however, he indicated it was very visible even with soap and water!?). It would appear they just wanted to spend as much time as possible just looking for the leak; might as well tear out a few walls while we're at it, right!? It's all billable!? We have a slab floor, so all of our pipes are in the attic with drops to each area requiring service, e.g. kitchen stove, dryer, etc. The leak was in the 90 directly above the dryer which should have been one of the first places it should have been found... fairly easily.
Jackrabbit/Scott was then able to confirm the source of the leak; he came right in, confirmed the issue and fixed it promptly. There was minimal invasive wall cutting; he cut into the wall only for what was needed, had the right too to cut the wall, and did a clean cut which will be more easily repairable.  Honest and professional. He even had his own ladder... imagine that!
We will use Jackrabbit for all of our plumbing needs in the future.

We are doing a complete remodel in a town about an hour away from Jackrabbit. I have to say it has been more than difficult to get any work done, let alone in a timely fashion...until Jackrabbit!!! They were amazing! Dan got back to me right away...drove down to the house and gave me a FREE estimate within a couple of days! A totally REASONABLE estimate. The only other estimate we got was more than double what Jackrabbit quoted us. Anyways...they sent two very professional..hard-working..nice kids, Trevor and Robert. They replaced all of our old galvanized plumbing with the newest pipes. Robert suggested we move our shower head to the opposite wall, which made a ton of sense after he said it!! Just the little things like that...I will recommend Jackrabbit to anyone with big or small plumbing needs!! GREAT COMPANY!! Thank you Dan!!

I have used Jackrabbit Plumbing many times in the past for work on my rental property. They were always fast, courteous and got the job done right. I did have an issue with the company on the last job they did for me and they responded promptly and resolved the situation in a way that was extremely fair. That is why I gave them a '5'. I will certainly call Jackrabbit again when a plumbing need arises.

We have seen Jack Rabbit Plumbing booths at Green trade shows. They have been very helpful and knowledgable answering our questions regarding green plumbing options. When our home shower drain stopped working, I called them. They were just as helpful in this situation. When the gentleman arrived at our home he was quick, efficient and even cleaned the tub! The price was fair and I am very happy with the service. Living in a rural area, timely and efficient service on repairs has not been our typical experience in the past 20+ years. The next time we need work on our home plumbing, we will call Jack Rabbit Plumbing.

A HUGE shout out to Jack Rabbit Plumbing and Christie!  We called Friday at 11:30 am, with a clog under the house.  My husband had been trying to clear it with no luck.  First available appointment was Monday.  Got a call back 10 minutes later telling us a tech was on the way!  Great and fast service and we really appreciate you!  Price was reasonable too.   Scott was efficient and courteous.  Would definitely recommend!

Contacted a week ago, have not heard back. 3rd contractor we contacted to try and get work done on my house. Very annoyed with the referred contractors from Southwest Gas. I'm sure work is good, but I really wouldn't know. Going with someone a friend I trust referred me to.

Had a remodeling project which required connecting fixtures in the bath and replace house shutoff valve.  Contacted Jackrabbit Plumbing at the recommendation of a neighbor.  The call taker returned my call the same day and inquired about the work needed.  She took the information and would have one of their technicians call by the end of the day.  Around 530 pm, Scott called to discuss the job and set an appointment.  On the day of the appointment, Scott arrived about 20 minutes early.  He surveyed the project, gathered tools and parts and commenced to work.  One area of the bath needed some sheetrock modification to make the connection which required addition time and some tear out.  Within 2 hours all the work was complete.  Scott cleaned up the debris and checked all the work to make sure it functioned as required.  Work performed, arrival on time and completion of project exceeded expectations.  Jackrabbit Plumbing has made it to my On-Call list for service.

Called Jackrabbit Plumbing to deal with a leaking garbage disposal unit and they managed to squeeze us in relatively quickly (within 2 weeks vs 4+ weeks I was getting from other plumbers).

Scott came out and he was helpful, courteous and professional.  He dealt with our problem and managed to help us out with a couple other annoyances besides.

I won't hesitate to call on Jackrabbit for future plumbing needs.

I recently got prompt, courteous, highly competent, effective and reasonably priced service on my radiant heating system after another firm, which had serviced the system for many years, mis-diagnosed the problem and proposed a fix for six times the price - a fix which was unnecessary and which would not have fixed the problem.

We are new in town from a warmer climate and had an above ground pipe crack in the middle of the night.  I ended up turning the water off to the entire house.  Called a few plumbing companies in the morning and Jackrabbit was by far the most accommodating and honest ones.  I was able to send photos via email to ensure the part wouldn't be an issue to have on hand.  We received a quote from another company for $385,  Jackrabbit had a solution and it only cost us $90.  They were also able to move around appointments to come out the same day.  Scott was very professional, helpful and tidy.  He had really good suggestions, solutions and advice for later that saved us time and money.  He is very skilled at what he does.  I will absolutely refer Scott and Jackrabbit Plumbing to friends and family with confidence and will not call around for our next plumbing issue as we've found the best in town.
