This is one of the most expensive company that pre-sets the prices for their plumbers who are employees. Some are better then others. Arron and Austin were efficient, did clean up and go the extra distance and were very polite.

My grandmother had sewage water backing up into the house (laundry room and bathtub drains) from a clogged pipe. This happened around 8 pm. I called Ben Franklin Plumbing (BFP) in Kingman and they said they'd be there first thing in the morning, around 9 am. At 9 am, I called to find out when they would arrive and they said between 9-11 am. At 11 am I called and they said before noon. At noon (now 16 hours without water/toilet) and no plumber, I called to cancel my service request. I called another plumber and he showed up within 30 minutes! A little after 1:00 pm, the plumber from BFP shows up. His company never told him that I had cancelled the service request! So I cannot rate BFP on their actual plumbing expertise, but their internal and external communications are terrible.

I wish I didn't have to give Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Kingman any stars.  I am so fed up with being harassed by them.  I used their service one time in the past.  Since December, I have received 35 phone calls from them.  I have told them on numerous occasions to stop calling me.  Tammy called awhile back.  I asked her to please take me out of their system.  She assured me she would.  Today, I got yet another phone call from them.  Not only that, it was the same Tammy that I spoke with the last time.  I immediately called them back, Erin answered the phone.  I advised her how fed up I am with their continuous harassing phone calls.  Erin says she is one of their supervisors.  I asked her to remove me from their records.  She says there is no way to remove me entirely from their system?  I asked if she thought 35 calls since December was a little excessive?  Her response????  Well, technically, we can call you once a day!  Are you frigging kidding me?  A company has nothing better to do than to call a past customer that has no desires to use their service again?!??!  Do not give this company your phone number!

waited all day for the plumber, he  ( the repairer) called and left message, when I called back it went to voicemail, full box could not leave message 3 times.  finally got him and he said his company   had rescheduled him, because we missed a call.   we did have appointment.  they are not reliable for phone usage.  What would he do if I was in under water with broken pipe and could not answer.
Very disappointing, will not use them again.

the technician was rather rude when he arrived and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him and he told me that he wanted to be on another job that day that guaranteed him money in sales. I advised the technician that he was to give an estimate of work needing performed prior to doing any work and he verbalized understanding. I left him to do the inspection and phoned my client, the homeowner. Once I ended that phone call, I proceeded to work on my laptop while waiting for the technician to approach me with the estimate which seemed to be taking a long time. When the tech came to me to give, what I thought would be the required estimate, I was told that he took it upon himself to do some of the work that, as he put itwould not be guaranteed work but because he had to come so far out to the home that he wanted to walk away with payment even though he would be getting paid anyway by the company for the drive. I reminded him that he was to give an estimate prior to doing any work and that he was not authorized to do any repairs. He stated that the faucets in the home were factory faucets and needed to be replaced and that he would NOT recommend us purchasing new faucets from his company but rather purchase elsewhere and then he would charge $269 per faucet for the install. He then told me, again, that he had stopped the leak but did not guarantee his work and that he expected $269.00 per faucet (there were 2 in the master bathroom) he worked on while at the home that day but would take $269.00 total if I would just pay him that day. I phoned the home owner and advised of what had happened and she was not at all happy with the service and the fact that we were now being told we have to pay $269 when we were expecting exactly what we asked for, an estimate. I was told by the home owner that she was not prepared to pay anything for the visit as we did not authorize any repairs to be done at that point. When I got off the phone, I was met again by the tech who had taken it upon himself, again, to wander through the home and find the hot water heater and performed an inspection on it and on the second bathroom and toilets. He told me that the hot water heater had numerous leaks and that the toilets were not filling properly and that if I would agree to order the hot water heater with him that he would give a 15% discount and do the toilet repairs for free and that the water heater would cost over $3000.00. I phoned the homeowner back and let the two of them speak and then she and I spoke again. She was not pleased with the things the tech had told her and she said it sounded shady. The next day, the tech phoned my cell from his personal cell and asked if I had spoke to the home owner to get an approval and that he would cancel his appointments for the enxt day or Thursday to do all the repairs. I did not schedule anything with him. The home owner had me call another plumber for a second opinion and they opted for the other company because of the way I was treated when the tech arrived and because the estimate was supposed to be free but then my company, Every Nook & Kranny, was charged $269.00 for repairs I did not approve, nor was it professional for the tech to tell me that the owner of his company had poor communication skills and that he didn't even want to be on this call (mine) because it was not going to be the big money he planned on nor did he want to drive all that way just to do a free estimate.

The bottom line is this. I called and was told by you that I would receive a free estimate before any work was done. I was met by a very rude tech who took it upon himself to do work that not only I was charged for, but that he would not guarantee. Within an hour or so after he left, the faucet not only still had a leak but it was much worse than when he started. I had to have another plumbing company come out at the request of the home owner to get estimates on the work that needed to be done.

I lost $325.00 in missed appointments and my company has never canceled appointments with clients before.; not only did my company lose $325.00 in client appointments that I had scheduled but then I was charged $269.00 by your company for a repair that was not authorized and was not guaranteed and that was worse after the repair than when he started. We will not be hiring your company to do any work in the future.

lets see slogan on side of truck says if there's a delay it's you we pay..
sat 05\27. guy came out looked and said he couldn't do job that day because he didn't have the right outfit. said he could come on tues. no call no show. I called them at 5pm and they said oh someone was supose to call you... ok they'll be out on wed.  guy came looked under house for 1\2 hr. said he couldn't reach the pipes he needed to change. so he needed to reroute them.. but couldn't do it that day.  so thur's they show up at 1030-left at 800pm. charged full price even tho. 3 day delay... so if i could i would give them -3 stars. so if your looking for fast work try someone else. if your looking for the job to be done at first price. try another. if your looking for a company to stick to what's written on their truck's try again.

They came to fix the leak from a toilet. They said it needed to have the mounts replaced also. After completion I found that the ankers used now stick 2 inches above the base, and the caps that were the original covering the ankers are now gone and here we have these ankers sticking up. Looks like heck plus cleaning the toilet is hampered. I expected they would make the replacement be the same as it was when they started. In further review I found that a towel set I used to hold back the water and suck it up was now missing the wash cloth of the set. Further more intaking hold of the door knob there was now some black substance, that is now hardened it is not removable. Out on the driveway where they parked their van, is now a nice oil stain I now need to try to remove from the concrete. I have called them to speak with someone and some girl said she would let her supervisor know. I could not at that very moment speak with this person that she had to email them and they would call me back. Well it has been awhile now and I have yet to hear from them. Do not ever use this company. Their prices are also out of sight.

I scheduled an appointment for a pressure test to get a greenlight for the city.
Benjamin Franklin's quoted me $69 for a pressure test.
The service tech came out and after fumbling around realized he didn't have the right parts and had to run out and buy a gauge to do the job.
After how ever long he came back and tried installing the gauge but couldn't get the connection to stop leaking.

How could he correctly pressure test my house if he was leaking pressure on his side, IDK.
But he began to go up in my attic and crawl around testing the fittings for leaks.
He later comes down and tells me he found a total of 7 leaks at all the fittings.

He then pulls out a book of prices and tells me I now owe him $659.99 for a leak test.
He told me he was supposed to tell me this and have me sign and agree to the terms before he did the work.

At this point he has quoted me $4000 worth of repairs and says they will subtract the $659.99 off of the job price if I decide to have it done.
After saying I was originally quoted $69 which soon jumped up to $659.99 which then jumped up to $4000 I was skeptical.

But I am a disabled retired Veteran and the winter is upon us and I need to have heat to survive.

So I paid the crazy high price just to get some heat and start the job.

I thought he was going to do the work that day, since I just paid him.
But he then tells me that No, he will have to come back and do it another day.

A week goes by..
And I've never heard back from the company or the technician.

I call and get no answer.
I call again and get a receptionist who tells me all managers are in a meeting.
I tell her my concerns and she says she will have someone reach out to me.

7 days later.

No phone call from either the Technician or the Corporation.

I was scammed out of $600 for a 30 min job and even the management is avoiding the situation.

I will file a claim with the BBB because if this is how they would treat a Disabled Veteran so close to Winter, leaving them with no Heat, no Answers and clearly no Compasssion.
Then this company does not deserve anyone's business.

Avoid this company at all cost.

They are very unprofessional with there write ups and quotes, lacking many key specifics which had my home warranty company asking questions, that I couldn't answer.

No measurements were taken, the job was quoted off of quess work

Poor communication

Poor Follow up

High Prices

Poor Business Ethics

Lack Of Respect

I had a leak behind my washer at the faucet. I was renting my house and living in Calif. Benjamin Franklins was contacted to do the job it took the young man maybe 10 15 min to do the job and the rest of the time he spent in his vehicle. they charged me
1. 5-1.25 water pipe leak repair (coupler)
   Reg.Price $316    Your price $269
2. .5-1.25 water pipe leak repair (nipple)
Reg Price $316     Your Price $269
3. Appliance Connector (hose bib for washer)
Regular Price $459  Your Price $269
Then said it should have been $1,091 but for me $807.00. For a COUPLER NIPPLE and HOSE BIB FOR WASHER WOW!!!!!!! Not a hole in wall not having to get anywhere near the plumbing in floor nothing just those parts and thats what they charged. So if anyone is out there needs a plumber i suggest you call Craig Plumbing he quoted me 185.00-200.00, Mike Price GREAT choice Quoted  me around $200.00. True Love or Mike Bullhead Plumbing are also great choices they are honest and there prices are right on, not only that all the other plumbers said they have people calling them for prices being ripped off by Benjamin Franklins Plumbing.
I have contacted the BBB, The Register of Contractors, and now speaking to an Attorney. If anyone out there has had a similar or different problem being ripped off by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing please get ahold of me we can do a class suite against them. Also please watch out for your elderly parents because i have heard nightmare stories of what they have done and charged our elderly taking total advantage of them. My email is [email protected] so join me if you too have been wronged by this Rip off Company

These guys have no clue what they are doing.  Had a problem with a septic line at my rental home.  They snaked it, charge me 1K and told me it was fixed.  A month later same problem.  They came back out.  Said it wasn't covered under warranty because it was a new problem.  Broken seal on the toilet this time.  They charged me another $1K to fix it and clear it again.  A month later.... same problem.  This time I went to a different plumber.  He identified a break in the line.  Fixed it, and charged me $600.    Tried to contact BF Management with my complaint that they never corrected the problem.  They never returned my calls.

Funny thing, they still telemarket me after telling them the story and telling them to put me on their DO NOT CALL list.  Never any apology.  They just called again, which is what prompted me to write this review.
Do not use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Kingman AZ if you have a septic problem.  They are incompetent.

We had a so-called FREE safety inspection and it cost us $380 and left us with a mess!  The plumber turned the shutoff valve under one bathroom sink and said that it needed to be replaced. Then he proceeded to turn the other shut-off valve under a second sink.  Water started spraying all over the cabinet contents, and he told us that it needed to be replaced, also.  At this point, he went to grab a bucket from his truck and shut off the water at the main shut-off valve as I was trying to contain the water that was getting all over the items under my sink and remove them at the same time.  I would have happily taken these items out prior to him overly turning the pipe - but instead I was left with a wet mess!  We have NEVER had a problem with any leaks prior to him turning that knob.  He replaced the angle stop shut off valve under each sink, and then gave us a bill of $380 to replace these valves.  (And that was with a veteran's discount)  The part is available at Home Depot for less than $10.  And it took approximately 15 minutes to replace the valves. Then, this past weekend, my son, who is a maintenance mechanic, looked over the parts that were removed and noticed that there was nothing wrong with one of the valves!  I contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Kingman directly on their website, but have not received any reply.  What a ripoff!

these are the biggest shysters I have ever seen. First they charge me $70 just to show up, and then told me it was going to cost $600 for a job that took the plumber I used after I sent Benjamin Fakers packing only 10 minutes to do.

Do not use these dishonest 'plumbers'. Use R and N plumbing. They will treat you honestly.

Our septic tank was backing up the toilets at our home on Pinion Pines. I called several pumbing companies in Kingman. No one had any availability to come up. One company offered to come up that evening but for time and a half. I called Benjamin Franklin and was told they would be able to come that afternoon. What a relief! Eric Campbell was our technician and he was so nice. He snaked our clean out and made our problem go away. He was very informative and helpful. He recomended we purchase insurance for future issues. My husband is a retired police officer and he also signed us up for the Heroes program. It helped us save money and they will check your system for no charge.  I'm so glad I called Benjamin Franklin and absolutely would recommend that to everyone we know!

Don't use this company. I was exposed to a gas leak with my new water heater they installed for five months. I had no idea there was a leak I was sick all the time and my grand daughter opened the door to the water heater in my small home and told me that it stinks. The plumber lied about replacing all valves and did not check for gas leaks. I'm a 65 year old female that trusted this company. They did fix it replaced all the parts I had already paid for five months earlier. I have repeatedly called and emailed the owner. I have still not gotten a response from him. I could have died from the gas leak exposure.

We used this company for non-emergency service & quickly discovered they r most expensive plumbers in the area! We hv never called them again & got a good referral from our RE agent who has worked out great for us w reasonable prices & even seemed cheap after BF
Try them if u wish or Im happy if you hv better experience then we did but be aware of their high costs for everything & there are other options available to you

We had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing out to flush our water heater. We are enrolled in the Hero's Program, so it was a no charge maintenance, Eric arrived on time and ready to work.  We had a couple of other things for him to check for us while he was here, which he did without complaint. Eric had been here before to replace shower fixtures for us and did a remarkable job. We have been using Benjamin Franklin for about 5 years and never had to have them come back to redo anything. Are they more expensive? Yeah, but no more than any other company in town, I checked. Eric has always been friendly and professional, answering any questions without hesitation. We will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs.  Thanks Eric!!

Josh and his helper came out and started to replace our water heater and ran into huge problems. They had to order a part so they got the new water heater working as we awaited the part.

Part arrived and Josh came out and got our heater and water heater back online.

Josh is knowledgeable and able to adapt, overcome and improvise. He refused to do any unsafe thing or cut corners.

I will hire them again.
