I use American Home Shield as a home warrenty.  They originally sent Dockside plumbing out, go see these con aritists reviews!  

5 star come out sent Art out for a second opinion.  He showed up and was on time.  Within 15 min of being here the shower  was repaired.  He was friendly, and professional.

I wish they came out first, it would have saved a lot of time.

5 Star was sent to us by American Home Shield, who charged a $125 service fee.

Our plumbing issue was not covered by AHS (which kept our  $125 service fee), and 5 Star told us that in order to fix the problem, they would need to tear out drywall, or cut into stucco or both. They would need $650.00 before they would schedule service.

Since they had been referred by AHS, I thought they were respectable.

Silly me....

They showed up for the appointment, said they wanted to see if the outside pipe could be fixed first, so they wouldn't have to cut into the stucco or drywall.

And miracle of miracles... the problem was resolved.

If there is zero stars, I would choose zero.
Horrible customer service, uneducated technicians, did more damage to my A/C vs taking care of the issue. Unfortunately, after my horrific experience with this company in October, I was forced by my home warranty company to have them come back and fix the damage they did on my AC unit. Once again, my appointment was rescheduled and the dispatcher who informed me of the new appointment was rude, argumentative, had ZERO customer service and hang up the phone when I ask of her name!
Stay away from this company people!!!!

I have American Home Shield. This company came out to repair my faucet. They were rude and unprofessional. My Faucet needed to be replaced. They have 3 options all builders grade cheap faucets. When I told him I have a high arc with pull down sprayer he was upset that I did not want one of his builders grade faucets. I asked him to please submit paper work to replace with a like kind. He did not want to, but finally said he would, this was Tuesday. I have called everyday since Tuesday to this company and was told they were waiting for AHS to get back to them. I called AHS on Friday they received nothing from this company. I called Saturday Morning still nothing! Do not use this company. They did not care about offering customer service. AHS refunded my money for the service call, and I have filed a complaint with them.

Our home warranty company sent them out for a repair. We were quoted an expensive out of pocket cost for the repair, and when I asked for clarification from them they emailed me a generic response that didn't clarify anything (twice). The front desk is rude, unhelpful, and demanded payment before scheduling the repair work (let alone collecting payment at time of service). Untrustworthy, rude, with poor business practices. Look elsewhere for your plumbing needs.

5 Star Home Services is an unethical business. Beware. This business misrepresented the truth when they promised that they would refund a portion of a charge for a water heater drainage pan that we already had for a future water heater install. When we called to follow up on why the refund was not credited to our card the person on the phone became irate. They stated that they made a mistake on our invoice and wrote the wrong item that they were charging us for. 5 Star Home Services never called or communicated their error to us and became irate and indignant when we called to follow up on the status of our refund.  The gentleman we spoke to threatened that he would lie if contacted by homeowner warranty company and credit card company that he would and say that we generated the invoice that we are disagreeing about. A very unethical business, please do your research and check their BBB record, I am sure they have numerous complaints. .

This 1 star is only because I can't post the review unless I click it.
The tech that came out to replace my water heater was rude and condescending to me. Probably because I'm a woman and an elderly one at that. The modifications that he said were needed were $1050. These shelf and water softener lines modifications that he says are needed were no problem the last time that the water heater was replaced by a different company. As a result of his lies to get more $$$ out of me my appliance insurance company will not pay but a small amount. I'm feeling elderly abused. Rather than enriching this particular company I would rather pay more for a professional to install. I'm even willing to pay a different company for the modifications he says are necessary if they really are. Please don't use this company especially if you are elderly. If you have appliance insurance and are assigned to this company call and request a different company. This one  will take advantage of you just like a scammer.

This company completely wasted my time.
I was scheduled through American Home Shield.
My appointment was scheduled 3-7pm. I called every hour. By 6 pm they said I was next.  By 7:30pm I was sent to an after hours recording unable to get a hold of anyone.  The technician arrived after dark at 8:30pm.  
I was extremely hot and frustrated.  I had already waited 4 days just for the appointment and now they were late.  Completely unprofessional.  She said it was the compressor and $2000 worth of Freon.  They said I would need to wait 7 days for
The part.  Which I did wait.  
By the time I waited for the diagnosis to be sent to AHS they kept giving me the run around.  she told me the systems were down and I needed to wait to hear from home warranty. Everytime I called she told me to get a second opinion.  But I was still waiting to receive my first official diagnosis before scheduling a second opinion. More than 10 days later I find out 5 star refuses to service my unit.  

Upon receiving a 2nd opinion the other company informs that the filter dryer is missing and now warranty will not cover anything at all.  Strange that 5 star didn't mention anything about a dryer filter missing before.  Was my system tampered with?

This company has no respect for time.  No sense of urgency.  And no care or concern for their customer.  Who happens to be without a/c in over 100 degree weather for days on end.  No compassion.

Filed a claim with my Home warranty company ~ American Home Shield for my water heater.  They responded and scheduled my appointment within two hours.
The technician Enrique was assigned  to come check the heater. Enrique was very knowledgeable about his work, told me right away that I needed a new water heater, and also advised me to turn of the valve for safety. Enrique came back , and also arrived within the time window assigned.  He was fast and efficient and also educated me about maintaining the lifespan of my heater.  Something I wasn't aware of.  I truly appreciated that.
Customer service on the phone was also friendly and efficient!
Thank you for replacing my water heater so quickly! I'll definitely be using them again!

5 Star!  Hell no!  More like negative 100!  The guy came out was barely here for 10 minutes.  Didn't do crap.  Every time I ask him a question, he dismisses me.  He did minimum and my issue is still not fixed.  Don't go with this company.

Owner replied to my email. Clarified the squiggly invoice. Which says our water heater needs replacement. But his staff told AHS that it did not need replacing. Making it so I cannot get another company to come out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We had a difficult to fix problem with our kitchen faucet.  It turned out to be clogged with small debris which resulted in lost water pressure .  Enrique Montes did a fabulous job of isolating and fixing the issue.  He was prompt and courteous and did a great job and left the kitchen immaculate.  Five stars for him.  Thomas Anderson

They went out and replaced a water heater..... they charged us 485 dollars in non covered fees and removed the check valve for HVAC... Tenant Complained daily that they did not have hot water. 5 star keeps saying everything is working correctly and tenant has no heat or hot water.

They dont know what they are doing!  Dont let them come to your property.  

Call real plumbers Ideal services or Boss Pluming.

Congratulations to 5 star you have now been blacklisted by me and my broker.

5 Star Home Service was contracted through my home warranty company for a plumbing issue in my spare bathroom.  Hot water was not flowing to the shower faucet.  Art arrived promptly assessed the issue and fixed the problem.  This is actually the 2nd time I have had Art with 5 Star Home Service repair plumbing issues.  He is very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I would use 5 Star Home Service again for my plumbing needs.

Listen: I'll give praise when praises due And I rarely give negative reviews...Do you know those type of companies that you fear I want to take advantage of you not do any work and I just did it for the money...You know, he always hear from a friend how he screwed them over like a used car mechanic...well this is them!!!

They leave me with this and say they cannot help. They also try to refer me to a restoration company they obviously get kickbacks from. This company is not to be trusted. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Customer service/ receptionist needs some serious training.  Whatever plumbing skills the technicians may have, have been totally erased by the horrible attitude displayed by the receptionist.

I got in contact with this horrible company via my home warranty.  DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!!!!   They came out to my house and falsely evaluated by situation and claimed they could not repair it and the issue was not covered and took my $125. Then told me to buy a faucet and they would come and fix it.  The home warranty does not cover anything broken.  they handle broke off the end of the hose due to normal wear and tear. My microwave was broken, covered, my washer was broken covered.  My sink was broken, covered.  But because I did not have the stupid crumbled handle although you can clearly see it was normal wear and tear, not covered.  They are full of tish!!! if you are even thinking of using them for a service or as a company for like Choice warrant or a home warranty, they are TRASH!!!!  They took $125 to come to my house and say nope. Wow.  Really a 0 rating.

Garbage Disposal repair /replacement.

Called my home warranty AHS Monday and was scheduled on Friday.  Argo - Showed up on time and very professional. He replaced it in less than 20 mins.. also gave suggestion to replace pipes since it's old and dirt and to help with the water flow.

I requested service from AHS warranty yesterday at 6:42 p.m.  One toilet was leaking, the other had to have the handle held down to flush.
For the first time ever, the assigned contractor called about 8:15 this morning and scheduled an appointment for between 11 and 3 p.m. today!
The scheduler was professional and courteous, and when Art arrived about 12:30 p.m., he diagnosed both problems and had both fixed within 20 minutes.
Art did a super job, and I was very impressed!
Definitely recommend this business!

Five star home services was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. They were so horrible that I would not recommend them to anybody ever. Their turnaround time is horrible and their service was at the fair at best. And when the same item they replace needed to be replaced again. It was going to take them a week was without air conditioning for over 50 days and triple digit.

I had this company sent out by American Home Shield for a flood in my laundry room. Geary was honest and upfront about everything. He said I had a lot of water damage and should put a claim in with homeowners insurance. I had 3 rooms effected by water damage. He transferred claim to AHS to have a HVAC company come out to repair since it wasn't a plumbing issue. He set me up with a restoration company within 45 minutes and a contractor. He's still stayed in contact by text if I had questions about the process.

I contacted AHS about a simple faucet replacement. The faucet after new installation by 5 Star leaked from bottom of faucet at connection of line and faucet. The plumber arrived to a wet cabinet and informed us it wasn't leaking. Then, the service attempted an additional 100 dollar fee. I refused. I decided to just correct the issue myself.
I inquired about the anti scald valve from plumber,  and it was not covered by AHS; however, the plumber seemed unaware that its proper function as a 2018 code requirement in clark county. He seemed unaware what the valve even was!  Oddest experience ever and just, I guess, not surprised post covid on quality and integrity issues of folks.

Water heater went out in our 44 year old house. Filed a claim with American Home Shield. They assigned it to 5 Star Home Services. Their plumber Rob came out within the timeframe promised and assessed the situation. He was respectful and thorough. I knew going in we would need more replaced than just the heater and only expected AHS to cover the appliance, which they did. I needed same day service because a household member is going through chemo and cannot be without hot water due to cold water sensitivity. We paid an extra fee for same day service, but it was definitely worth it.

Rob came through and replaced all our valves, exhaust pipe, the water heater, and water damaged pedestal same day. The hot water was back on. His work was top notch and we are so grateful they assigned him. He was a commensurate professional top to bottom. Will likely use them for ongoing maintenance.

I just had service from them today. They were sent through my home warranty. Art let me know. He was on his way to give me a heads up which I really appreciate. He replaced my leaking garbage disposal. I was very pleased. They had the parts on the truck so he was able to take care of everything in one visit. He commented on my kitchen sink which has very low water pressure. He replaced aerator, and now my sink has much better water flow! Art went above and beyond for me today and I am very grateful.

My home warranty has sent them over 3 times , the first two times they fixed the problem but third time they send a clown talking about how good he was (not wearing a mask ) was offered 250$ to fix problem under bathtub.
He called me back that he had to open floor and who knows what BS and that 250 would not even cover a fraction of what cost to fix problem.
I had a handy man fix problem for 67$ , 60 in labor and 7 for PVC pipe .

Paid through the home warranty company AHS to have a plumber come out to check on a pipe burst.

The (same) plumber came out 3 times and on the 3rd visit wanted the Water Restoration Company (ServiceMaster) technian to ...reach up and just attached the new valve...won't take long... ???? They said NO.

Ended up getting Atlas Plumbing to do the job RIGHT THE 1ST TIME

I submitted an order thru my home warranty American Home Shield. I had an emergency issue with the toilet but also had on my service order to check the shut off valves and the kitchen faucet was loose. The plumber Garry took care of the toilet issue quickly but didn't really want to deal with the other stuff. I showed him the shut off valves which he said were fine and then I showed him the kitchen faucet. He told me it was broken then advised me to go buy a nice Moen faucet and spend at least $200 and he will come back and install it for $200.  He left.

I contacted my home warranty to find out he never reported his finding on my kitchen faucet so they had to send him out a 2nd time. The 2nd time out, he acted as if he didn't remember our conversation. Then again he told me it was broken and said he can replace it with a builders standard faucet with 2 handles I questioned it as my faucet is one handle so I wanted it replaced with the same style. He then went outside to call the home warranty authorization and when he came back in, he handed me the phone to find out he told them it was bent, not broken therefore they would not approve a replacement. I asked my warranty for a 2nd opinion. They sent out a different company who received approval to replace my broken, not bent faucet. Plus they replaced it with a very nice one handle builder standard faucet.

Be forewarned this company will try to scam you for money and they know exactly what to say to the home warranty so they won't approve the work.

My home warranty company sent them. The technician first said I needed a new shower head, I said it is not the shower head, then he said I needed a new valve, they don't make parts for my shower any more. Of course then I would have to see if it was approved by AHS. Then I got an estimate of $1200. I called my old plumber, he went to Lowe's picked up cartridges for $60 and had it fixed within the hour.

My home warranty and I have been trying to get a hold of someone from there company all weekend. They have an after hours number but no one answers.

My AC has been off and on and not cooling. They sent someone out on Friday. The guy was here for 5 min tops and said everything's fine, you have 30 days and straight walked out my house.

My AC has been 89to 95 degrees ever since and now there is coolant spill outside of the unit. I am beyond frustrated, it 117 degrees outside, and have received the run around.

We called to have our pilot light relit on our fireplace. They scheduled us for the next day. Enrique called us 15 minutes prior to arriving. He was very personable and professional. he immediately started working on the fireplace and cleaned the area for us a little bit. He took a quick look at the outside vent and in no time he had the fireplace working. He explained a few things to us about our fireplace that we did not know when we moved in a few years ago. We would highly recommend his services. To sum Enrique up he's personable, professional and fast.

True story, the warranty company AHS, sent these guys out for emergency back up, water coming out of shower drain flooding the floor. Remember EMERGENCY, this guy shows up looking dumb founded, and was looking for a pipe to the main line, he couldn't find it, so he said will have to call the AHS, never heard back from him. Called a guy off Craigslist he came and fixed the drain in 15 minutes from the roof vent..THESE PEOPLE ARE A JOKE! FIND A REAL PLUMBER, I STILL GOT THE GUYS NUMBER FROM CRAIGSLIST.

Terrible service. Overfilled brand new ac unit with refrigerant. Damaged some components, could have damaged the coil. Had to pay to have someone take refrigerant out that I paid 5 star $350 dollar to put in. Not discount service but discount quality. Or guess you could say a rip off!

Currently in a dispute for overcharge.

Bathtub faucet has been leaking to the point where it doesn't turn off anymore and a slow stream of water was coming out. We had a plumber come out who let me know the cartridge needed replacing and that he had it on the truck and it would be $250 or that I could order the part and wait for it to be shipped. I asked if I do that and order the part, will the water just be running this entire time until the part arrived and the plumber flat out told me yup..

Having no plumbing knowledge, I had to pay the $250 to get it repaired then and there. I had the water shut off to the house so the stream from the broken faucet would stop so I was in need of the water to be put back on and also didn't want the broken faucet to be running and wasting water anymore.

Afterwards, I learned the faucet could've manually been turned off while the part arrived and that the part itself cost about $50 at Lowe's - not $250 like I was charged.

We called them to dispute this and my husband asked why was it up-charged so much and that they clearly took advantage of someone who didn't know plumbing knowledge - which is true, I don't know anything about plumbing. The rude dude who answers the phones said well when my wife goes shopping it's buyer beware. So he flat out admitted yes they over charged but said it was my fault and they were not fixing it.
How about just be ethical and give the customer options from the experts' knowledge instead of lying and telling me the water will keep running unless you pay me today. And how about the guy at the front desk not have the attitude of a teen girl.

Sleazy, lying, and they're totally up front about ripping you off and don't even deny it. They just said too bad.

So currently seeing how to fight these low-lives. Don't use these people no matter what unless you enjoy being robbed.

The office coordinator has a terrible attitude. Zero customer service skills. I asked a clarifying questions about the appointment and she replied, I'm not a plumber. I asked her if she could perhaps ask one of the plumbers for me so we don't waste their time having them come out and she flat out said No, they are out in the field. I told her she could call me back and she said no once again. I told her she was being unprofessional and not very helpful and she responded hold on at this point I hung up. When you're having a plumbing issue you want to partner with good vendors who can help you through the crisis that you are not able to mitigate on your own. We rely on their expertise and professionalism to help us feel good about the repairs that will take place. I did not feel good about this so I will not be working with them.  I understand that a receptionist is not a professional plumber, but being courteous and professional does not require specific certifications/schooling. If you want great customer service avoid this company.

Very satisfied with the re-piping of our water lines in our home.  Robert did a fantastic job of herding the project thru completion starting with his invaluable experience of dealing with insurance companies. He was kept us well informed about the project and was always responsive to our communications.

I am a 67 year old former plumber. I guess I wasn't very good. I thought my plumbing was leaking in the wall and the wall had to be opened. But 5 Star has a plumber named ART. He showed up on time. Located the leak which to his credit was not in the wall. This is proof I was not a good plumber. The leak is gone and the wall did not have to be opened. Request ART he is a terrific plumber

Out toilet backed up and the home warranty sent 5 star home services to come out.  They snaked the main drain and temporarily solved the problem.  I asked them what caused it and all they said was someone was partying too much, so I assumed maybe large chunks of toilet paper.  However, when he filed the paperwork with the home warranty, he said that there were tampons in the drain, causing the home warranty to decline coverage.  There is nobody in our household that uses tampons so this was impossible.

The next morning, our toilet was backed up again, so the snaking didn't work.  I called them first thing and they said they would send someone out by 10:30 am.  At 11 when I called them, they said they would not send someone out just to snake it again and I would have to pay $1,000 to have it hydro jetted.  Exact words were it's not worth it for me to come out there if I am just going to snake it.  You need to make it worth it for me.  So we waited and waited for them to come out and found out they had no intention of coming out unless we committed to spending $1,000.  So they are not at all customer centric.  Furthermore, when I asked the technician why he reported he found tampons, he told me he found some thick material that he said was baby wipes.  Well baby wipes and tampons are different and also, we do not use baby wipes.  When I saw what he pulled from the drain, it looked like globs of toilet paper.  I don't know how you can conclude they were tampons.

I had to call another plumber to come out, which means another half a day of waiting, to be able to turn our water back or or use the bathroom.  The good thing is the new plumber only charges $400 for hydro jetting, so 5 star's prices are very much inflated.

Definitely did not receive a 5 star service.  Do not use this company, they have no focus on customer service, technicians are not professional, and will rip you off.

Completely unprofessional; technician did not leave any paperwork, blamed the previous service company for incorrect job on AC. I called the office to only receive a rude and uncooperative representative that blamed the warranty company. People at this service just put blame on everyone else and don't bother to provide solution. Avoid this company.

I'm so thankful I was able to get same day service.  I was very impressed with Argo as my plumber.  He was very polite, informative and completed the job more quickly than I expected.  I would definitely recommend this company for plumbing repairs and I would definitely recommend asking for Argo.  Great service!

As so many reviews below... wish I would of seen these reviews first! These people were sent due to home warranty. $75 service fee to have them come out and say they don't cover water softener. Ok so...they quoted $900 for flushing whole house and $1300 to repair water softener. He really didn't do anything not even looking at hot water tank. Just say it was my water softener broke and it's not covered. Hired another plumbing company. $120 cleared the lines and said you will need a new hot water tank eventually since it's old and a water softener about $800 if you want it now or we can do it later when you are ready! Wow! Huge difference and great customer service.
Hmm... home warranty should really think about who they recommend!

Definitely a 5 star experience. I was assigned 5 star from my home warranty. I made the claim Friday morning. The tech arrived at 9:30am on Saturday (was scheduled 9am-1pm). He swapped out my water heater within 90 mins. There was water damage so he assisted me in contacting a remediation. The tech took his time to explain to me what happened. Very professional and efficient.

I will use them again, with or without the home warranty.

I wish I could give zero stars. The plumber that showed up, took one look at the issue I was having immediately thought he'd diagnosed the problem. After an hour of troubleshooting and repeatedly being wrong, not listening to me at all, and implying that there isn't a problem, he eventually admitted that he'd have to reschedule to come back with a supervisor. He agreed that that there must be a leak since my meter is running even when we aren't actively using the water. He said he was going to recommend leak detection. That was a Tuesday morning. I had followed up that afternoon and was told that they had a request into my home warranty company and it would be 24-48 hours. Friday I called to see what was happening with the request and was told that they put into my warranty company that no leak was found and they considered the issue closed. So this goes against what the plumber said while he was here. I don't know why they would lie. Terrible business practice, all while I sit here as a home owner with an active leak, most likely doing secondary damage that my home warranty won't cover.

Worst company ever. Lazy employees that don't want to do the work and would rather blame the owner for physical damage instead of wear and tear so the home warranty can deny the claim and they get out of doing their job and work. If you get this company to do work for you, I'd suggest you call a different company and you'll save your self a lot of headaches.

Two clogged bath drains and a loose tub faucet was called into AHS and they scheduled 5 Star Home Services who scheduled a Saturday service between 9am - 1pm.  Art showed up at 10am and went right to work. He knew exactly what to do and in less than 45 mins., all the work was completed. He is a true professional and I highly recommend him if you have any plumbing issues. Great job & thank you Art!

Our toilet was leaking on to floor every time we flushed. Realized that we couldn't fix it ourselves. Had 5 Star come out to take a look. They sent Robert to resolve the issue. He knew what was wrong the second he looked at it, had the necessary parts in his truck, and within 15 minutes said it was good to go. In addition to bolt that needed to be replaced, he switched out 2 other components that were worked out too just so we wouldn't run into this issue again. I would like to write an outstanding review for 5 Star Homes Services because of their outstanding customer service and rebuild of our kitchen cabinets and drywall at our home.

Due to a water leak behind a wall in our kitchen -- we had major damage to our cabinets. The 5 Star Home Service team came to our house very quickly, gave us a fair estimate and began the rebuild of our cabinets.

Contacted our AHS warranty and they sent out 5 star home services. At first I was nervous because you hear horror stories when it comes to plumbers. Robert came on time and fixed our faucets and hoses in both bathrooms and also our garbage disposal. He took his time and made sure everything was fixed correctly, even if it meant extra work in one bathroom.  He was very professional and friendly. 5 star home services sent Enrique to our home for a blocked water line to the master bathroom. Previous companies came out and quoted us an outrageous price indicating they would have to cut into our walls and floors to fix the problem while barely even looking at any plumbing.  Enrique was very professional and took his time looking for the problem while patiently explaining the process. In under an hour not only did Enrique fix the problem,  but he didn't have to cut into our walls or floors to do it!!! Would highly recommend 5 star home services specifically Enrique for any plumbing problems!

We had a leak in the pipe leading out from the water heater into the house. It wasn't leaking much, but it had to be fixed. Our home warranty sent out a company who barely looked at the pipe before deciding we needed a completely new water heater (ours is 5 1/2 year old) and had to get all new lines, a permit, and a bunch of stuff to get up to code. Even with home warranty coverage, it was $645.00. 5 Star came out the same day and had it repaired in 20 minutes. Very pleased with every aspect of the transaction!

The worst experience ever. They are contracted with my home warranty company and submitted false information, and unfortunately it is there word against mine, so the home warranty refuses to cover it. The guy that came to assess my plumbing immediately told me the home insurance will not approve, but would not elaborate why, but was happy to fix it for $950. Terrible business practice.

Oh man. I am a first timer home owner. My HOA sucks, I had to replace and AC and got ripped off by Goettl, one thing after another.
5 star Home Services sent Gary over to work on a shower valve and I was terrified of another catastrophic event.

Assigned by home warranty company. They were punctual, but refused, even when asked do wear PPE. Considering we are in a pandemic, I do not believe this is professional! The work completed was done well and efficiently, but told us that some of it was not covered by our warranty because it was outside, yet it was on items attached to the home, so that is in fact not accurate. They must offer hoem warranty companies excellent contracts!

He even cancelled my service to try and make me wait longer for a heater. NOT!!! Luckily, I can afford to buy a water heater without a warranty company. I had a plumber come on the 1st, couldn't replicate the problem. About 20 to 30 minutes after he left you could see the visible leak. I called five-star home services that same day and asked for someone to come back out. They said they would call me back in the morning to schedule something. I called again on the 5th and again on the 9th. The woman I spoke to you was extremely rude. I wasn't mean and asked her, do you why it took so long for them to respond? Her answer was I don't know. I said great. And then there was silence. I said, 'Is that all?' She said yes so I just hung up. Unbelievable. Will definitely not use them anymore.

I had an issue w/ a rental property water heater that was improperly installed by my ex tenant and needed to be rebuilt to code. I was lucky to get in touch w/ Brandon from the beginning. I explained my situation and he gave me a reasonable quote, a quick start date and helped out w/ the permit work. Other companies turned down the work as they didn't want to deal with the permit issue. The team came out, fast and on time and started to try to get the heater into shape but found it was way to large to be installed in the small area it was and had no proper ventilation. It was cheaper to install a slightly smaller unit and be done with it. So in the same visit I had a new heater put in and TOO CODE. Thanks Brandon and Guys.

Ps I did run into the female others speak of and sure enough she didn't do what I asked....a simple receipt emailed to me so I called and asked for Brandon and within minutes I had it. 4 stars for that reason. Ask for Brandon......sorry Brandon if this causes more work but it will keep people coming back.

Needed a water heater replaced. Garry was very helpful and informative. He was late but that's due to the office having a mandatory meeting that cut into his already full schedule. The office could've done a better job updating us. Garry, on the other hand, did s wonderful job, cleaned up some of the work that was done last time, explained things to us and did a great job. This company should NOT be in business !!!! Rude receptionist, rude technitian! After waiting for 5 days to come out to check on my water heater , they never got back to me! I'm without hot water already one week with a baby and they don't care! My home warranty waiting to approve it , they only need their diagnostic !!!! Had their technician coming to my rental property for a pipe leak (small one) via my home warranty. All he did was making a hole in the ceiling to drain the water which is fine and left. He then called me to tell me I need a restoration company and he can connect me to someone he knows (not covered by my warranty) and they can get me a full bathroom remodeling and jump the price up so it'll cover my deductible... bottom line, he offered me an insurance fraud.. I hired someone else who fixed the leak in 20 minutes and $150.  
When I called to complain about him the lady on the phone didn't even wanted to hear what happened. Guess they don't care about their reputation or customers

Robert from 5 Star was dispatched for a Home Warranty call, the warranty was denied, but he explained to me exactly what the problem was and why it was denied. I received conflicting info from the tenant, but Robert's explanation seemed more plausible to me.

2 stars for being able to get someone on the phone. The rest is history. These people don't care that you have a schedule to keep as well. The lady that answered the phone sounded like she was in the mafia, threatening to not come to my home to fix the air conditioning. Although I told her not to send her tech since he was already late, he showed up and disabled my upstairs unit. Didn't tell my family what he was up to and left. This is the type of people we need to take business away from. Would definitely not recommend.

UPDATE: After speaking to my girlfriend who was present when the tech was looking at our AC unit, I lowered by review to 1 star. He stated that he had a side business and that he could save us a lot of money if we had repairs done by him with his side business. He also behaved very unprofessionally.

A/C went out in July (110 degree weather) and I called my home warranty company. They took info and then 5 Star Home Services called. Very polite on phone and got someone out in 3 days.
Brandon arrived and was very polite also. He took a look at the thermostat and then went on the roof to look at the A/C. He then came down and told me the unit was down 10 pounds of R-22d Freon and that the condenser was bad. He said that if I wanted to fix it the freon would be $1400 and the condenser $350 plus labor totaling $3500.  IF I wanted to just put in a new unit for $7500 that would be better for me.  I asked him to give me until Monday to think about it.

I called another company for 2nd opinion.  I had my fiance go on the roof with the guy to make sure everything was on the up and up. They both looked at the unit and discovered the plug and cap for the freon had been loosened and the freon was just oozing out. Now remind you, the first guy came on Saturday and now it was Tuesday. IF the unit was low on Saturday already, HOW ON EARTH IS IT LEAKING ON TUESDAY?  The first guy sabotaged the unit so that by the time he came out it would be out of freon. AND there was nothing wrong with the condenser.

WHAT A SCUMBAG!  I called and told the manager what had happened and he said Oh, his equipment must have malfunctioned. Whatever!  These guys are trouble and crooks. I told him I was going to call the BBB so he gave me $125 for the ACTUAL cost of the freon and nothing else for the frustration and 7 days without A/C in 110 degrees in Vegas.

They have a lot of great reviews on Yelp, but only from people that called direct. If you get them from your home warranty company they will completely rip you off.  Stay away!!!!!

These guys were amazing!! I had a issue with a leak in my shower that cause a leak in the roof. I am extremely thankful to 5 Star Home Services, especially to Aliona who managed my service request. I had an issue with the water heater and they fixed it the same day the service request was placed.

5 Star Home Services received the service order in the morning. I called them directly and I explained the urgency; I have tenants in the house and water was off for 2 days, which is a habitability issue. The service company went above and beyond to get the job done fast. They worked persistently with the warranty company and a new unit was installed by evening.

I've noticed the water pressure in my house has been declining over the past month or so and finally decided to call it in to my home warranty (AHS). To my disappointment the rep on the phone stated water pressure isn't a covered item.
I still needed the work to be done so asked for there recommendation on a reliable honest plumber. They put me in contact with 5 star.

I was apprehensive at first thinking I'm going to be sold a bunch of BS but to my surprise Gary had said it would cost a ton and why I didn't have a home warranty. He then stayed at the house and walked the inadequacy of a rep from the home warranty through the process only to find out..... IT IS COVERED.
This saved me $850 - which is allot. I had contemplated how I don't need strong water pressure for a shower and cologne would be cheaper.
I was disappointed with my home warranty until Gary cordially helped the warranty rep through an hour long process.
Good people. Good company and I'm happy the home warranty recommended 5 star.

Enrique saved the day...Period!
So long story short never ever use innovations plumbing services they are down right unskilled and they are lazy! After waiting several days for them to find a part (Yes DAAAAAAYZZZ) I finally gave up and called my home warranty company and requested for them to send 'real professionals.'

Fortunately they did and a day later Enrique at 5 Star showed up (early), diagnose the problem, and then pulled out his cell phone and had the manufacturer on speed dial, Ordered the part and had it delivered the next day! Now that's what I'm talking about! Only professionals do what he did and did I mention he did it all in 17 minutes, ! Forget the rest & go with the best! Ask for Enrique he doesn't mess around!

I gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me give anything lower. Service technician was called for leaking water heater. He checked water heater, said he was going to get permit and water heater and would be back in a couple hours. Never heard from him or company again, had to call them myself to find out home  warranty did not approve water heater. Of course by this time it was after hours. So this means another day no hot water, and no heat. 2 days later 5 star calls me to tell me warranty approved partial bill. They tell me I owe $630 but cannot give me itemized bill for what I'm paying for, seriously?! Then proceeds to argue with me and tell me I am wrong and that it's a language barrier with the service technician. I could go on and on about how many things are wrong with the way this service call was handled, but I think this is enough. Would NEVER recommend this company.

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would.

I called my home warranty company (Fidelity home warranty) and requested service as water was coming out of my auxiliary/secondary drain for my AC. They dispatched this company 5 Star Home Services, Inc to service my home. The tech who came out denied that there was anything wrong, and said it was by design that water was coming out of this tube, and recommended I route it to the side of the house, and said he could do it for $500.

Speaking to some neighbors, I realized that this is actually called a secondary/auxiliary line, and is put there for a reason - to notify you that the primary drain pan is clogged. This is totally NOT by design.

Code 307.2.3 states:

1. An auxiliary drain pan with separate drain: an auxiliary condensate drain pan at least 1.5 deep and at least 3 larger than the length & width of the appliance beneath which it is placed, using corrosion-resistant material of adequate thickness (0.7mm galvanized metal or 1.6mm non-metallic e.g. plastic) with a separate drain installed under the equipment and discharged to a conspicuous point that will alert building occupants to a blocked primary condensate drain

This explains why it was above my bedroom window. I hear water coming out of it every night.

I feel totally taken advantage of. I was charged $75 by my home warranty company, and the tech did absolutely nothing. Do not waste your time with this company.

My technician was Argo. He is great, very professional and honest. He contacted me prior to his arrival, showed up on time, and did repairs in my house. Brandon was super nice but when I called back the female receptionist (didn't get her name unfortunately) was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. She cut me off before I was even done speaking and told me there's nothing she can do until my home warranty company dispatched the work order (they did dispatch it, she just couldn't pull it up in her system). She told me I needed to call them, despite it being a communication issue between home services and the home warranty company that hired them. I called my home warranty company back and asked them to dispatch my order to another company because of how poor her attitude was. They lack customer service and lost business because of it.

Woke up with no hot water and I could not figure out how to check the pilot light. I called and Sasun not only walked me though how to check my pilot light he sent some out to fix the problem right away. Argo was very nice and found the problem immediately. They fixed the  bad copper wiring in 30MIN.

Loved this company!  Max showed up on time and was wearing a mask.  He went right to work, diagnosed the problem and fixed my air conditioning.  I was very impressed and I would highly recommend this company and Max!!

So thankful!! Wes was my service man and he was on time for the service and quickly fixed the A/C. I have a busy doctors office and the patients would have melted in the heat today, had Wesley not saved us
He was quickly able to identify the problem and within minutes he had the part picked up from his office and installed. We were cooled off in minutes. Seriously thankful and the patients much appreciated, too.

All I can say is STAY AWAY!!!!! I have recently been having air conditioning issues and called my insurance company to make a claim. They assigned 5 Star Home Services to come and fix my unit and I have absolutely NOTHING good to say. I had an appointment scheduled yesterday to come fix the unit, so I stayed at home for 7 HOURS waiting, but nobody called us and let us know they would not come that day. I called the manager and he was a disgusting man using terms like sweetheart to talk to me. As a manager that is unacceptable and you need to talk with customers with respect. After getting over that uncomfortable feeling, he went on to talk about how they did not receive a conformation, but that is kind of hard to believe because I got a confirmation email from them. He then goes on to tell me that my brand new unit needs to be completely replaced which is false. After hearing all of this and going against my best judgement, I decided to give them another chance and schedule another appointment (which was my mistake). My time slot was from 12-4 pm. I waited at home and I did not get a call once again. I decided to call back at around 3 o'clock and speak to the manager, but they said he was not in. I was told that the technician had a flat tire and we do not know when will be there to fix the unit. They originally started talking to my elderly mother with an attitude and I lost it. The receptionist had the nerve to say it was not there problem and I should talk to the home company instead of them. Who on earth do you you think you are to speak to customers like that. After hanging up I got a call back about 20 minutes later from the manager. He had the nerve to tell me that he was in fact in the office sitting next to his employee and listening to our conversation the whole time. He proceeded to tell me that I need to learn to be more respectful towards the people who are going to solve my ac unit issue. I was in shock just listening to the way this manager was speaking to me. He continued to scold me by telling me that I need to understand that things do happen which I do, but a call would be nice. He continued to tell me that there are 45 other people with broken ac units waiting and none of them are complaining about that. I find that extremely hard to believe especially in Las Vegas in the middle of the summer. I was told by that unprofessional disgusting manager that he can reschedule once again and I said no. I do not want a company that is so disrespectful to their customers to touch my new ac unit. All I can say is this company is falsely named and I received anything but 5 star services.

My heater went out and my home warranty company sent the job over to them. Immediately from the first phone call I knew I was in good hands. Laura was professional and sweet and made sure someone was coming to me right away. The next morning Reuben came to fix it right within the time window I was promised. He fixed it and gave me a new thermostat. You can't go wrong with this company. Amazing people that will give you and amazing experience.

I highly recommend 5Star for all your plumbing needs. But mostly Dennis. He came out and kept 100% with us. He was professional, friendly and wasn't just trying to get in and out fast. He took the time to explain to us our options and did a great job. The work wasn't covered by our home warranty but they didn't break me either, which I appreciate.
The office staff, mostly Laura was very friendly and worked with me with all my appointments and times.
Overall, very satisfied and should I have a plumbing issue again..( HOPE NOT!) I will ask my home warranty to send them.

Called on a Saturday afternoon; a little after 2pm. Was put on hold for 13 minutes. As I was running out of patience-for an emergency service call, no less--a lady, in a monotone (bored) voice comes on the line. Hurrah! My call is going through. Hello and thanks for calling. Please hold. *clunk and right back to the oh-hold repetitive message. Well, 13 minutes of Your call is important to us. Please hold and...blah, blah, blah., was bad enough. To be told again to hold--and pushed right back to the same old rapidly repeating Please hold... message is too much. I'll go somewhere else, thank you.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! First and foremost they're not complying with Covid-19 regulations with PPE. Secondly, the technicians are the absolute worst when it comes to services and attitude. They came to my residence twice (and late might I add) just to waste time and say there is nothing they can do. Even to ask a simple question they immediately get defensive and angry. When asked if they could do a temporary fix or what do they recommend we do the response is well who's going to pay me for that?! Like my bad sir? I was gonna pay you whatever it takes to get the problem fixed! But okay then go off. Even when telling them they will be paid for the extra services all they do is you know what I got other houses to go to. Not my problem How in gods name are you guys still in business when you won't do anything to help resolve the problem!

Not pleasant experience  with customer service. No call when technician was gonna arrive. Tech said he was gonna leave when I explain that what I was told from property management. No communication what so ever. Poor service. Please dont  use this company. And as far as new west property management goes. Laurie is great but communication with me . Not satisfied

5 Star Home Services is a company I would definitely use again! I was able to obtain a 2nd opinion through American Home Shield after the 1st plumbing company wanted to charge me an extra $250 out of pocket to modify a simple kitchen faucet replacement.  Arco , was the technician who installed our kitchen sink and did a marvelous job!  He was courteous and attentive to his work and made sure he wore a mask and even put on paper slippers to prevent tracking in dirt.   The 5 Star Home Services staff were also timely in their response to our plumbing needs.  One more thing---Arco noticed that our bathroom faucet was a Moen faucet and informed me Moen has a lifetime warranty on their faucets.  This was certainly great news to know for the future!  Thank you Arco and 5 Star Home Services and to American Home Shield for providing me with a 2nd opinion!

We recently had issues with our ac and our insurance company chose to send us to 5 star home services. After talking to them and being told they would come and fix the issue we were surprised to see they were no shows. We had called them again and were told a technician would arrive the following day between the hours of 12-4 after being home all day the technician was once again a no show. My roommate proceeded to call them again and was told by the receptionist that it wasn't their problem they did not show up. And that there are 45 other people in Las Vegas that need their aircon fixed as well and that no one but us was complaining. The staff at 5 star is very rude and unprofessional. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told that no one was available but after calling once more the manager told us he was sitting next to the receptionist the entire time and that we should watch how we speak.Though we understand that problems may arise throughout the day and they may be unavailable to come and service the aircon, they could atleast call and let their customers know instead of being rude and disrespectful. The level of unprofessionalism is outstanding. Get new receptionists if that's how they treat customers that want your service.

I recently (Nov 2017) had a great experience with this company so I was surprised to see some bad reviews. I think some are suspect as they don't appear to live here in Las Vegas and are thin on details.

My in sink garbage disposal inconveniently gave out the week before Thanksgiving. My home warranty company HWA (Home Warranty of America) sent 5 Star Home Services to replace it. I was very pleased with the level of customer service I received. Steven called to update me on his expected arrival time (narrowing the service call window) and to verify he had the correct horsepower model with him.  He showed up when expected and got straight to work - challenging me to time him. He had the new disposal installed in just 10 minutes. He tested it out and checked for leaks. Then he ran baking soda and vinegar through my pipes for good measure offering tips on keeping everything in tip-top shape. He was very friendly, polite, and professional. Although I hope not to have to use a repair person anytime soon, I would be happy to have my home warranty send 5 Star Home Services again.

If I could give no stars I would. This was a company recommended by my gas company. I called all three company that was recommended to me. They were the only ones who could come out over the weekend. I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! I will call the gas company and let them know how dissatisfied I was. The man came between the window time of 9-1pm no problem his service and demeanor is what sucked. He came and inspected the natural gas line that we wanted to attache a gas grill, and he looked at our brand new 6 burner charbroiled gas grill and he mentioned changing out 7 items if we wanted to connect it to gas line. I asked if those parts can be bought at Home Depot, he said yes and he got up and said I don't have time now.  He was so unprofessional with the way he was communicating like he didn't want to do the service. He got up and told my dad that's $65 service fee for 8 minutes of his time I am not kidding you it probably was 5 minutes I was so livid!!! I called the number I had called the day before and told the receptionist what happened. So unprofessional and he didn't even give us an estimate of what needed to be changed even though the lady on the phone said he would, he didn't write his name on the invoice or left a business card!!!! Next review YELP. I'm in customer service and I would never deal with a customer like that.

Gary just came out to fix an angle stop in my master bath. He showed up early and the repair was done in ten minutes. I had two other companies come out to give quotes but no repairs. After three other plumbers said that it would require tearing into the wall to repair Gary fixed it without damaging the wall.super professional and fast he also explained to me how to do the repair so I knew the process. He was the first guy to make me feel confident that he new what he always doing. I'll be using them again in the future.

I knew from the beginning the company was trying to squeeze some money out of me. The technician explained that our drywall got wet after the water heater failure and it all needed to be replaced and quoted over 3500. I caught the water leak early, a very small amount of water got on the drywall. The technician was trying to make a large job out of a simple water heater change out. They kept explaining that they were sending out one of their best techs, If this was one of their best, you should really watch out. Just be aware when dealing with this company that they will try to make extra work out of a small job.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!! They installed a waterheater 3 months ago for me and it just stopped working. After calling them to come fix they said they only offer a 30 day warranty. After speaking with the water heater manufacturer I found out that they did not even install it correctly and that is why it is not working now!!!! And they wont come fix!! Save your money and pay a Professional. Not these scabs.

So I've had 5 star home service inc out to my house twice  in less then a week. I'm having serious plumbing issues. The guy we have had is nice, but takes hours to get here. First time he was over an hour. Today he was as like 4 hours.  and he didn't have equipment to fix the problem. (Well he had the equipment but it broke? And didn't have back up?) so he calls me to tell me he can't fix the problem and we have to call the office tomorrow morning. He couldn't just say this face to face.
I've gone two days now, can't flush the toilet, can't take a shower. Can't wash anything. To say this is inconvenient doesn't even seem fitting. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Sorry I couldn't have left the positive feed back.

This 5-Star service company acts more like a 1-Star company. They came out in June to repair our A/C and the technician that came was rude and unprofessional and more importantly ignorant in A/C systems.  We changed our thermostat to a Nest thermostat on April 5th and the A/C worked without problem for 6 weeks.  The 1-Star technician said the system wasn't working because the Nest thermostat was wired incorrectly but he also replaced a few wires on the unit itself because they looked like they might be worn out.  I knew damned well it wasn't the Nest because the system worked perfectly well for 6 weeks. I figured whatever he did outside must have been the issue because the A/C started blowing cold air again.  A couple of weeks go by and the system is down again.  1-Star sends out a new guy, who was professional and polite, and he said there was no way the Nest had anything to do with the A/C going down before.  He determined the system was low on Freon and that was the cause of the problems. Okay, we paid for the Freon and the system worked. Fast forward a few days and the system is down again.  The same guy comes out and says it's the capacitor that's not working and needs to be replaced.  Okay, he replaces the capacitor and the A/C seems to be functioning again.  Guess what happens 4 days later.  Yup, the A/C is down again.  The same guy comes out and he tells us the A/C is fine and the problem is the circuit breaker (we noticed the circuit breaker kept tripping and shutting g the system off).  He says the circuit breaker is melting at two different spots and the electrical system will likely catch on fire if it's not repaired right away; but, at least the A/C was working fine.  Well, we can't have our house burning down so we arrange for emergency services from an electrician.  The electrician comes out on the same day as the A/C guy and he inspects the circuit breaker box and he tells us the box is in great shape and everything looks fine.  He said there was nothing that looked like it was melting and he said the issue is with the A/C unit.

Anyone who uses 1-Star Home Services for anything is a fool. Needless to say, we have contacted another A/C company to fix the system.

My AC stopped cooling. Called 5 Star. They had a technician out quickly and they corrected the issue in a very short time.

They are responsive and very knowledgable.

I have lived in Las Vegas for more than 40 years and I've used many different HVAC companies over the years.

By far, 5 Star has provided me with the best service at affordable rates.

I have great confidence in their company and the technicians that respond. Their office scheduled my request quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and seemed genuinely concerned.

Thank you 5 Star Home Services!

5 Star is now my HVAC company of choice.

In June, I called my home warranty company about my a/c not cooling. American Home Shield contracted the service to 5 Star Home Services. They sent out techs (Brandon and 2nd man), who climbed on the roof, assessed the units, & took pictures of the issues to show me. Brandon reported that one of the units needed a new disconnect box (WHICH I AM BEING CHARGED $185 FOR) & a new circuit/electric board (don't remember exact name). It took 2 weeks for the tech,  to come back out with the parts needed, after I made multiple phone calls to American Home Shield & 5 Star to follow up, only to hear from both that they were waiting on the other to send over information. This past Saturday, 7/14, Brandon the tech from 5 Star came out & ONLY CHANGED THE board, NOT THE DISCONNECT BOX, then LIED to me & said he was DONE & I only had to have the electrician come out & replace the breaker to the a/c & then everything should work fine. I even clarified & said, So you don't need to come back out after the electrician comes? Brandon said No, I have replaced the items we agreed to. When I asked to see a picture of the new disconnect box, because he had shown me a picture of the old one, & I knew he needed to take a picture for his report, he was caught off guard & stuttered over his words and said oh, oh, I do need to come back out & still replace that! HE WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE, CHARGE ME $185 for a piece that he NEVER replaced!! So on 7/14, I called 5 Star back & explained the situation. They apologized and set up for a different tech to come back out on SUNDAY, 7/15, to complete the job, after the electrician replaces the breaker. The lady I spoke to on Saturday at 5 Star was very polite & apologetic & put me on the schedule Sunday, because she knew this had been going on for almost a month. Electrician came between 9-12p on Sunday & 5 Star was set up to come back between 12-3pm on 7/15. THE TECH NEVER SHOWED UP!!! I called 5 Star multiple times, and they were closed. I even left a message on the afterhour's number, explaining the situation & reporting the no-call, no-show!! I still did not receive a call back!! Brandon, the first tech, said that once the breaker was fixed, I should be able to turn the breaker on & the a/c will work. Well, the a/c did turn on, which it did before, however IT STILL BLOWS HOT AIR!! So not only is the a/c not fixed, but the piece that I am being charged $185 for, STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED, & 5 Star, has been a no-call, no-show 2 days in a row!!! I called 5 Star first thing this morning, 7/16/18 and the secretary, Maria, was extremely rude. She tried to talk over me as I was trying to explain the situation & why I was frustrated. She said Maam, I can read the notes right here. You do not have to tell me all of that. I explained that the notes do not include that Brandon LIED TO ME, nor that I have had a no-call no show & was still going to be charged $185 for a piece never installed. I tried to tell her that she can not bill me for the $185 because the piece still had not been replaced. Finally she scheduled for Brandon to come back out today, between 12p-3p. I TOOK ANOTHER DAY OFF OF WORK (my 4th one all together) & BRANDON WAS A NO-CALL NO-SHOW AGAIN!!!
At 330p, I called 5 Star & asked where the technician was. Maria happened to answer the phone & when I introduced myself & explained that no-one had shown up yet, she was very apologetic & said that Brandon quit this morning & would not be coming out to do the job. She said We should have called you, but it has been hectic in the office today. She said, the earliest I can get someone out there is THURSDAY!!! Today was over 110F!!! It's been over a month that my a/c is broke!! This is absolutely absurd that I had to pay $75  for a company that does a half-ass job, who was going to fraudulently bill me $185 had I not asked to see a picture. 5 Star Home Services has no-call no-showed on me 2 DAYS IN A ROW & I am STILL WITHOUT a/c!!! If the tech quit in the morning, why didn't you call all the customers that he had scheduled & let them know?! Your website states you guarantee 100% satisfaction!!! That is a joke. When I asked Maria for the owners name, she said she was not able to give that to me. When I asked for the manager's name she said Mush. When I asked for her name, she was reluctant to give it to me, because she knows she was being very rude. We all have stressful days, however if you advertise a service & advertise that you are THE BEST IN LAS VEGAS, I would expect much more out of a company!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!! I explained that I will be going out of town on Friday and that Thursday was unacceptable since I was a customer before the customers you are going to see tomorrow & Wednesday & I should take priority, especially with all the events leading up to this point. She was finally able to squeeze me in on Wednesday from 8-11a. I will update this with the follow up, once the job is done! Fingers crossed!

What a pleasant surprise.   Today  STEVE came to my home on time He found the problem with the garbage disposal and replaced it quickly; leaving no mess.  Steve is very polite and will always be my go to person.  We highly  recommend him.  A great  REPRESENTATIVE of his trade..

I filed a claim with my home warranty and had a service call schedule within a few hours.  Wesley came out  to address an issue with my Heater.  He was extremely friendly & informative.  Had my problem taken care of within the hour and I had heat again.  He even drew me a drawing so i understood what the problem was.

My water heater stopped working and my tenant was left without hot water. Initially I had a called a different company who came and tried to convince me that it was leaking water, but the good news was that it was 5 years old and was still under manufacturers' warranty. He said he could replace the whole thing, but I had to pay $848 for labor since it was a direct vent water heater. Suspicious of this extreme charge, I decided to get a second opinion from 5 Star Home Services. They sent out Karo who managed to fix it by simply turning the unit back on. The reason it turned off was due to a safety feature of the system that was triggered by the tenant spraying wd40 near the garage door and the water heater's sensor shut it off. Karo didn't charge me more than the service fee of $65. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of Karo and his company and will definitely use them in the future.

Enrique was awesome! Our water heater went out on a Friday, right before a holiday weekend. We contacted our home warranty company who contracted 5 Star for the service call. Enrique came out on the holiday, drained the broken water heater, picked it up the following morning and had our new water heater installed that evening. Great service. I'd contact them for service again.

Beyond disappointed with this company!! They were sent to my home by my home warranty company to fix a broken heater. Two weeks after they fixed my heater it broke again!! I requested that the same person DID NOT come fix it the second time.
The second company that came out to fix my heater requested that my boyfriend come up in the attic to witness the job that 5 Star Home Services Inc had done.
My double shafted blower Motor once again blew because the first repair man did not hook it up properly! Not only did he not hook it up properly... He put the motherboard on upside down and not even in the correct place. He just found holes and screwed it in. The wires running from the blower motor through the sheet metal to the motherboard run through a hole with a rubber grommet , it's missing so wires just up against the sheet metal that over time would get  cut. He shoved bubble wrap under the motherboard so that when it kicked on it wouldn't rattle!!!!!
Anyone that uses this company is taking a huge risk!! He put my home in danger by the irresponsible and careless work he did!
Worst part is when i called the owner of 5 Star... (also sent photos) he denied his guy did  that kind of job!!!
My boyfriend said he went out to his car and brought the bubble wrap in and the owner is denying it!!! I have never dealt with such an irresponsible company!! I pray this worker was either let go or given a different position in the company because his work could have caused my home to burn down!!

Heather not working a month or so after that. Home warranty send a different company.  The truth came out...whatever this company did was not right.  I could be dead.  The new company was honest they replaced my unit. Thanks a lot!  
Now I have brand new unit. I don't have to deal with this company again.

If I could give 0 star rating I would.
It's been four weeks and still the plumbing issue has not been resolved.
Customer service promises to return calls, but does not follow through.
Plumber was not knowledgeable and also did not follow through.
I definitely would not recommend this company's services at all.

Do not use this company for any home warranty work. They will work hard to have the warranty company deny your claim and then turn around and charge you full price for the repair. If your warranty company assigns them to you call your warranty company back and request a different company. They will also lie to you and tell you its a covered item   so they can collect the trade call fee and they know the claim will be denied. This company should be called 1 star home services inc.

I am one hundred percent satisfied with five star Home services and their work. They are punctual they keep great communication. Enrique went above and beyond to not only fix the problem but teach me about my home and what may have  caused it. where things are located and more. In any situation I will request them directly.
Although referred to by my home warranty company they are extremely reasonably priced. After seeing my warranty companies bill I would not have been upset if that's what I would have had to pay.

Our AC unit went out. In the middle of this Las Vegas summer heat wave. You always hear horror stories about plumbing and HVAC services charging you for stuff thats not even broken. We called and talked to Mushegh who advised us that the technician will be at our house as soon as possible. The technician Pato showed up, and my God I've never seen anyone be this professional and courteous. He completed the job in less than an hour and advised us on further maintenance that will be needed. I will definitely be going back to these guys, and recommending them to anybody who needs it. Call without worry.

I had an issue with my gas furnace and my home warranty company contracted 5 Star Home Services to come out.
To start with, I received a phone call to schedule and got a next day appointment.
My technician, Chris called me on my cell about 15 minutes before, introduced himself and said he would be here in about 15 minutes and he was here right on time!
When he arrived he was super nice and helpful. He took the time to explain to me what was happening and how he would fix it. As promised Chris had me up and running in no time!
I would recommend 5 star and definitely recommend Chris! 5 star gets 5 stars from me.

Extremely Professional firm. Called promptly to set the appointment and scheduled me the next day, which happened to be a weekend. Called prior to arrival to confirm it would be ok to start a bit early.
Garry has exceptional client service skills.
The call was placed through a home warranty, who denied coverage, Garry stayed on site and got the problems resolved. He worked with me on Cost and did great work.

Actually, negative 5 stars. 5 Star home services failed. Horribly. Completely. If you have them sent to you, or even thinking about utilizing them, DO NOT! They are crooks, and they will sabotage your A/c system for their own personal gain.

I called my home warranty, Choice, and they sent them out. Ryan was the one that came to my home and went up. He was up for all of 15 minutes while I tried to eat lunch, came back down, and verbally told me ...something came apart up there and put holes in my a/c compressor.... I tried everything to get it started again but it wouldn't start....you're going to  need a compressor and it would cost me $1800. I asked him if I could go up and look with him, he said he put his stuff away already. To climb stairs with tools and a ladder, and diagnosis an a/c system, and bring it back down in 15 minutes? That's a little ridiculous. He collected my 45 dollar deductible, submitted the diagnosis to the warranty company, and they denied my claim as they do not cover a/c compressors. On their paper however, when I was handed my copy of the receipt, it said my compressor was shorted to ground and I was low on Freon.

I had the company that serviced my a/c system last time, and my mom decided to go up there with him. (I was at work and my mom got off early to help me.) He watched him the entire time. He found that my dual capacitor that he installed last time was bad and warrantied it for me. Once he replaced it, it all ran but didn't get cool. He then noticed my Schrader valves in my a/c service ports were backed out. He was the only one there the last time other than Ryan from 5 star, and my unit was the only one that had trouble with a/c in the last six months. I was charged to put 520 dollars to recharge my system, and 89 dollars as their service fee. I needed air conditioning. I work 80 hours a week, 6 days a week, and in the last four days my a/c was out it was over 95 degrees in my house. I only had 6 hours of sleep in four days, working 10-12 hour work days.

I then called the manager at 5 star, Mush, (another lying a**h*** by the way.) I explained to him what happened and told him that I am a mechanic, and that I know Schrader valves in service ports do not back themselves out. He tried to then feed him some bull about how he's seen multiple times Schrader valves vibrated out in front of his own eyes, and that he's sorry his technician misdiagnosed the system. That set me off. I work on cars that vibrate way harder than any home a/c system could ever and never seen Schrader valves unscrew. And they're literally almost identical to old school cars. Schrader valves have seals in them that when tightened down, get this Mush, SEAL THE SYSTEM, and make them harder to back out, even if they're worn!

When I asked for him to refund my money (the 45 dollar service fee from him and the 89 from Mojave) he said that I should go talk to the warranty company for my 45 dollars, and that he wouldn't pay my 89 dollars back because I didn't give him a chance to come out and fix my a/c system, or re-diagnosis the system. Even if I did, I probably would've gotten someone that would've looked at the previous technicians notes and said I needed the exact same thing. Maybe they would've tightened the Schrader valves back up so they wouldn't get caught. Shit part for them is I have every conversation with them recorded and pictures to prove that the Schrader valves were unscrewed.

So not only am I out 674 dollars at the moment, that I could've used to pay my bills, buy my dog food, and buy my groceries, and even try to help my mom who just had eye surgery last week! I am now having to deal with lost time off work to try and get the warranty company to reimburse me, going to the contractor's board to file a complaint, and deal with the better business bureau to make sure the shape up or go out of business. The shouldn't be getting away with this.

And I know that they probably have good honest techs there that don't deserve this. But think about how I was treated by management and lied to, how my aunts and uncles who are also air conditioning technicians in new York, also told me how full of shit they were and that if there was a problem with the capacitor that is normally what you check first, and confirming my knowledge on how Schrader valves don't back out. For all of you who gave them a 5 star rating, think back on what you spent. Think on if you're warranty sent them out and your claim got declined because it's more profitable for them to get paid on a job that isn't covered instead of what the warranty will pay them. They're probably told by their management to do these things. They may also be cheaper than what most other companies will charge. But maybe they're breaking things to fix.

My rant is over. By the way Mush and Ryan, my air conditioning is fixed. And it's thanks to honest people that made sure I didn't spend 1800 dollars I didn't have and did their jobs properly.

I would like to follow up with a second review as Gary  returned to finish my leak issue. He replaced the part and he rechecked the areas where we still heard dripping. He thoroughly explained the origin of these noises and reassured me that they were not causing any more plumbing issues. Gary was, once again, kind and very professional, as were all the office staff who confirmed my follow up appointment. I would recommend this company in a heart beat!!! We just had Terrin come fix our broken shower handle that broke all the way behind the wall. He came in and from the beginning, conducted himself in the most professional manner I have ever seen from a plumber. He had a great attitude, was very friendly, kept us informed of everything he was doing, and worked hard to finish the job in a timely fashion. After he was done, he cleaned up everything to its original condition, and over all did an incredible job. Thanks 5 Star, thank you Terrin, and I would highly recommend this company, and this young man to anyone needing plumbing work done.

So, I called Home Warranty of America on Tuesday, July the 4th, as my renters told me that morning that the AC had stopped blowing cold air.  Of course, being the holiday and all, HWA advised me the soonest they could get someone out would be the next day.  So, yesterday, the technician was considerably late, and understandable as Las Vegas is in a severe heat wave.  Fine, but he could've at least called to let us know he was running late.  He finally makes it out, and immediately just replaced the thermostat and tells the 20 year old son, who stayed home from work, that it's all fixed.  Technician didn't even go inside to check to see if cold air was blowing.  By the time the parents got home last night, they called, saying it was even MORE HOT than the day before and only hot air blowing out.  I immediately call Five Star to leave a message, and then called back to HWA at 5am this morning, as that's when they opened in their time zone.  They promised to get them back out.  Because of Five Star's mistake, I would THINK that my rental house should be moved up in priority for THEIR mistake.. But, oh no.. So, given a 2-5pm window today..  It's 6pm now, and they STILL haven't shown up.  So my 3 renters and their 2 dogs have been suffering in this very intense heat even longer than necessary because of incompetence, and failure to isolate the problem and even CHECK to see if cold air is blowing.  I don't even want to give them ONE star, because of this.  It's 115 degrees today, this is emergency heat.  And the girl on the phone had the nerve to giggle in my ear today about it... This isn't funny, and I DIDN'T pick your company, my home warranty company did. If HWA chooses to continue sending Five Star out, and treating folks like this, I'll be shopping around for a NEW warranty company in 2 months when it's time to renew.
***UPDATE***  The same technician finally showed up last night about 8:30pm.. And finished and got the AC unit back up and running at 10:30pm last night, by replacing the motor.  And though we are very glad the very nice renters living there aren't suffering anymore in this VERY intense heat, I think this should've been done on the first visit.  But glad it is finally taken care of.
*** Sadly, yet another update***  Since the technician left Thursday night, the temperature in the home has not gone below 79 degrees, even though our tenants have cranked it down to 70.  In fact, yesterday, the temp rose to 85 degrees in the house.. When I texted the technician to ask how this could be, this was his response: I Checked EVERYTHING on That Unit..And After I Let it Run And I Checked the Split, I went Back on the Roof and Checked Everything AGAIN..Then I went Back Inside,  And Checked The Split Temperature..Everything is Running Properly.  (He really likes caps, apparently...) When I responded, Well, it's 85 there now.  And they have it cranked down.  And they've had it set at 79 all day.  No response.. So, after reaching out to Home Warranty of America as well as Five Star, the soonest they will come out again is MONDAY, 4-7pm..  This is the worst I've ever had to deal with on an AC unit.  I'm actually beginning to wonder if the AC unit is dying a slow, sad death here, and you all are just reluctant to replace it...  2-3 years ago when the one died on our primary residence, HWA stepped up and decided to replace it.. Might've been $900+ for us with permits, etc, but if it needs to be done, let's DO it.. The house was built in 92-93, and it's definitely the original unit..

Since the weather was getting warmer, I decided to get my A/C system serviced by 5 Star.  I specifically requested Minas, who serviced my A/C last year.  He is great.  Minas is polite, patient, efficient, honest, and trustworthy.- everything you would want in an A/C techinician. He did a thorough job inspecting all elements of my system and patiently answered all of my questions.  I am under a home warranty and have to go with 5 Star but I am pleased with their service in my two dealings with them.  If you want a good tech, ask for Minas.  You won't feel cheated!

Assigned initially to fix non-working gas furnace by home warranty service.  Came out and explained that a pump would be needed to drain the condensation line and that they would get back to tenant and me for pricing.  After 10 days and no contact, water damage on ceiling below furnace was showing from the inside of home (it appears they may not have unclogged the combustion line hoses on their initial visit).  At least two messages were left on after-hours line to explain the urgency of matter.  Called again later or early next day - no answer and no message could be left.  Finally got ahold of 5-Star to complain and after hearing a low voice telling the receptionist what to say, I asked to speak with that individual or someone who could address the problem.  After several to five minute wait, B admitted to making a mistake saying they were so busy that he forgot, but that he would investigate and get back to me.  Later he reports something like the problem is not 5-Star's responsibility because it was reported in previous years, etc., but that he could still install the pump at a 10% discount - two days later.  When I shared that there is increasing water damage occurring he remarked that they were just too busy - reminding me that they are not responsible for the water damage.  Another company came out the next morning, blew out clogged lines, re-sloped flue line, and now condensation line drains correctly - without pump and much less expensive.

DISHONEST Firstly , the technician was not wearing a face mask . That is not normally an issue to me, but he was coughing in my house which made me have pause. . I wanted to mention this because some people would have issue with no masks in their homes  .The tech told  the warranty company that my HVAC compressor went out due to not being serviced.. yet I have records for servicing for the last 18 out of the previous 20  years. The filters were very dirty , as the elderly couple had passed away , and obviously had not replaced  the filters for a while. I am sure dirty filters didn't help the compressor, but they certainly were not THE reason that a 30 year old compressor went out .  Home warranty refused to cover repairing the compressor due to preexisting conditions of dirty filters !Update  :I had another guy come and look at it. Compressor is just fine. It locked up due to a Freon hose leak ! i WOULD BE VERY WARY OF THIS COMPANY.

One star for Five Star.  I would give zero if I could.  I made an appointment with them for a subsequent day between 8 and 11am.  By noon I still hadn't heard anything so I called them, they said they'd call me back.  Two more hours went by an nothing so I called them again.  They then informed me that their technician called in sick that day.  Somehow they didn't know that their employee was sick until 2pm when he had an 8am appointment.  Don't do business with these people they can't even manage the schedule or return phone calls.

I made an appointment 3 days ago to have my a/c looked at. I was given a time between 3-6 and Ryan showed up at 3:00 on the dot. He was very friendly and was only here 30 minutes tops. He tells me it's all fixed all it needed was a capacitor and he leaves. He doesn't stick around for a little bit to see if the air gets cool or check the air coming from the vents. I call the office an hour later to let them know it's the same temp as when he left and the air is hot coming from the vents, and the woman Sylvia answering the calls was one of the rudest, uncaring, unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. I explained the problem and that I took time off of work to deal with this and haven't had a/c for 3 days and it's 116 degrees outside, her response waswe are booked until Friday do you want me to put you on the schedule? After explaining to her he only left an hour ago and it's not fixed, there should be an exception. She repeats Do you want me to put you on the schedule for Friday or not?
Do not use this company. Their customer service skills are the worst!

5 star home services replaced my water heater on Mar 3, 2016 because it was leaking. On July 10, 2017 it stopped making the water hot. I phoned them at  (702) 998-9090 numerous times, but it rang once and hung up. Then I located a second number via google, (702) 998-9491, and phoned them. Unfortunately, when I used this number, after ringing without answer, finally I was placed on hold for 25+ minutes, only to be told they couldn't help me. Unsuccessfully, I tried to get my warranty company to give them the work order-they also wouldn't make the appointment pending receipt of the order. After several lengthy holds, transfers, and refusals, I finally went to another company and was told that the thermostat went out; BUT IT COULDN'T BE REPLACED BECAUSE ITS NO LONGER MADE. THEREFORE I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER WATER HEATER!!!  
They deserve a negative but that's not an option.

Our Thanks to Steven and 5 Star for the Same day service when our water heater quit working. 5 Star worked with our home Warranty company and contacted us within a half hour of the posting the service order. They set up a window for the service and the Technician kept in contact letting us know when he would arrive.

Our technician Steven was polite and thorough. He checked the the entire system, Diagnosed the problem and walked me through the process one step at a time. He made sure I knew what he was doing and why. The whole repair took less than 1 hour. He cleaned and checked all the components installed a new Thermocouple, lit and re-lit the gas water heater and checked the pressure relief valve and bled air from the tank that had been making noise.

I highly recommend Steven and 5 Star Home Services Inc. I will not hesitate to call them again for any other repairs we need.

Bad customer service the first service person didn't even go to the roof he pointed some gun at the vents and said there was good airflow and said it's warm in here huh ? Dah. The second one found a leak. But couldn't fix it he had to come back the next day he patched the hole which the first one didn't find because he didn't even go to the roof. He told my wife that the bbb was after him and by that Tuesday he should have his own business to do his own repairs. The third person who showed up went to the roof actually banged stuff around and said he would be back the next day to replace the condenser and no one had to be home. Low and behold no one showed up I call the warranty company and they said it was normal wear and tear and wouldn't cover the replacement. Shame on you.

We have a printing business and the air conditioning is very crucial for our warehouse and printing process. Our AC/heater stopped working with no reason. did a research and came cross 5 star home services, gave them a shot and I was so please with the result. They sent their technician in like an hour and he went out got the part it was needed and put the AC back in working condition. I had 5 star come to my house to fix my air conditioner. The service man arrived did not introduce himself. Was very unprofessional. My wife is 5 months pregnant so it was very important to me. Do not trust this company.  The employees are dangerous and don't trust them around your family. THEY ARE THE WORST AND ARE DANGEROUS DO NOT TRUST THEM IN YOUR HOME OR AROUND YOUR HOUSE!!! BEWARE

I want to give a shout out to 5 Star Home Services, specially to Argo, Minas and Denis, who all patiently, professionally and kindly worked with me while trying to figure out the mysterious issues my hydraulic heating system has...( and I was already having a meltdown ..) I would highly recommend this company ( I used them through my home warranty), the only thing I wish is if  they were working during the entire weekend too. I know everyone needs a day off but my heater stopped working by Friday morning and the office first wanted to book my appointment for Monday. When you don't have heat and it's cold, waiting from Friday till Monday is a long time! In the end Minas stopped by Friday 6.30pm, and followed up even later the evening via text message! I will definitely call back this company, should my heater start acting weird again ...

Seriously 5 Star Home Services deserves 5 STARS! Amazing customer service, affordable pricing, reliable, and honest. The plumbing from my upstairs shower leaked to my kitchen ceiling. I immediately called my brother to see if he could recommend anyone. He gave me 5 Stars phone number. They were so understanding of the urgency of my situation. They sent a technician in the same day within 2 hours. Just looking at the tub and valve he knew what the problem was. They were able to fix the leak and didn't charge me an arm and a leg to do so. Overall I'm so pleased with the service and speed. Thank you guys!

This company is worthless.  My home warranty  sent them out for my heater which was not functioning.  After several hours and multiple phone calls the tech tells me it's a plumbing issue and they had to check with my home warranty to see if it was covered.  Of course home warranties are worthless and they wouldnt cover it.  I got a second opinion and my circuit board and blower were completely fried (Which the tech showed me so I know it wasnt BS).  So $1350 later I have heat and my home warranty wont cover it after they sent this shitty company out.  Avoid this company and also stay away from choice home warranty they are both horrid.

I have never experienced such incompetence, unprofessionalism, and complete lack of care or customer service before working with 5 Star Home Services.

Unfortunately because I am the tenant and lease the property I was at the mercy of the Property Mgmt hiring this company and thus could not choose another company during this process; because I would have IMMEDIATELY after their first visit.

Visit 1 was to investigate a leak in the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. Upon arrival the technician (using the word loosely) would not even go into the bathroom with the leak. He went upstairs to the bathroom directly above, tinkered with a faucet for 3 minutes and claimed the issue had been fixed. I questioned how could it possibly be fixed if he won't even investigate the bathroom with the ceiling (which was SOAKED completely through, paint dragging and peeling off). He said it will all dry, and not to worry and still refused to investigate further.  

Visit 2 was 5 days later after I alerted the Property Manager that the technician barely looked into the issue and the very next day the drywall and paint was sagging and drooping at an even faster pace and the leak was dripping still.  The same technician (Art is his name) came out and finally stepped foot into the bathroom and claimed all of this must have happened in the last 5 days since his last visit.  Not a chance!  He cut a large hole in the ceiling to investigate and after prodding around said that he needs a special part that will take some time to get in.  After this he left.  We let the property manager know, who authorized 5 Star to order the part.  This was on a Wednesday.  The part was never ordered until the following Monday only after I called their office to find out how long it will take!  We were told up to 2 weeks.  The pipe/piece ended up bursting this same day and water was gushing into the bathroom and so all water had to be quickly shut off to the house.  We waited and waited for the part to come in.

The following Monday (7 days after they ordered the part) I called to check the status. I was told there was no record of the part being ordered at all.  I asked the lady on the phone if she could ask others in the office to find out what happened and if it, in fact, was not ordered. She said that they were understaffed that day and could not take the time to go find out that information. I about lost it when she put me on hold after I demanded to speak with her boss.  I waited 15 minutes on the phone realizing she had no intention of finding me help.  Our Property Manager called over and was able to get info from them and say the part would be in by Wednesday for a Thursday or Friday installation. We waited and waited. No call on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.  Monday rolls around and finally we get a call to schedule for a Tuesday install.  The same technician (Art) shows up and decides before he starts he should light up a cigarette and discard the butt into our yard!  I let him finish the job first, which he did, and then asked him to pick up his butt.  He picked it up, threw it into the street where I noticed pipe fittings and pieces that he just threw into the street instead of cleaning up correctly after himself.  He quickly drove off and once back in the house I noticed the bathroom was left completely filthy. He never wore booties to cover his shoes, dirty water was tracked all along my carpet and my bathroom was disgusting. No water or dirty had been cleaned up at all.  This wasn't a random bad day by a grumpy employee. This clearly is the culture of the company.  Without question I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.

Would not recommend this company.  Had to use them due to my home warranty.  We did not have hot water. Appointment was scheduled for Tuesday morning.  The tech explained he needed to replace the control valve but didn't have the part.  I had already taken time off of work to meet the tech and one would think he would arrive with all appropriate parts to fix a water heater.  Indicated he couldn't return later the same day because the office was too far.  The company was not willing to reschedule as an emergency in the morning to fix the hot water any other day of the week besides Saturday.  When tech arrived on Saturday, he was able to fix the problem but in doing so caused a leak on my water softener. He fixed the leak on the water softener but told me I should call my home warranty because it really wasn't his fault.  His words, not mine. Very unprofessional receptionists and techs.  Wasn't charged when repair was completed but received a call a few days later asking for payment.  To top it all off, I had to pay with a credit card and was charged 3%.

I changed my review to three stars after the company reached out to me, apologized and offered to reimburse me the $45 service fee.

Not dependable. The phone receptionist had poor customer service and tech was late coming to house.  The home warranty didn't cover repair but tech was quick to tell me and said he could fix it for a price.  Rather goto a different company.   Surely not a 5 star company for customer service

Avoid, avoid, AVOID this company. (Did I mention avoiding it?)

To replace my leaking water heater, which goes every 4 years, 5 Star wanted to charge $300 on top of replacing my water heater. That's because the replacement required the removal and re-installation of a water recirculation pump that wouldn't even get replaced.

Fidelity National Home Warranty told me this cost was not included in my contract, even though this same pump was removed and replaced at no charge the three other times my heater went out.

After crying foul to 5 Star, I was told that the owner, Moshe, agreed to charge only $240 for the 11 minutes of extra work and I was treated like I owed them a huge thank-you.

I can't see recommending this company for any service other than emptying your bank account.

The first time they fixed a leak they were wonderful. This time around the experience was a nightmare. I've had a leak since Tuesday in my garage. Gary was my technician. He went to the wrong house. I had to reschedule a new appointment the next day. I never got a call or voicemail, and they stated they went back to the property, but again, they went to the wrong house. Wednesday they could not set up me up for an ASAP appointment so they had me scheduled Friday, today, from 9am-12pm. The technician called and tried stating that theyve previously gone multiple times, describing the wrong house. My leak isn't in the living room, it's in the garage. He took 5-7 minutes to try to explain to me that it wasn't his fault instead of admitting fault and apologizing. It is now 11:14 and he is barely on his way. I am still being charged the 45$ maintenance fee because they did not get it from the wrong property they checked. Biggest nightmare ever, with a worse leak then before and more damage to my garage ceiling.

Ryan B just serviced our AC within only 2 hours after we waited for another company for over 24 hours. (We only waited the 2 hours because he was on another job in line before us) He was amazing! Showed us everything that had an issue, explained what needed to be fixed and why, and was very knowledgeable. If you're looking for someone to help you in Las Vegas, especially in the summer, this is the BEST option available. 5 STARS for sure!!! Thanks, Ryan!

They came out to fix a gas fireplace as a claim under a home warranty. The guy that came out said a part was broken and he took the part claiming he was going to see if he could find a replacement. Shortly after that I was informed by the home warranty company they don't cover fireplaces. I never heard from the company and they left the fireplace missing a piece as the guy never came back.

From the time I called 5 Star responded almost immediately. Enrique called to let me know he was on his way and would be at my home in 10 minutes and he was. He examined my hot water heater and determined what was wrong and immediately went to work and repaired it. He is definitely a certified technician and was very pleasant to deal with and I am thoroughly satisfied with his work. He represents 5 Star in a very friendly and professional manner. He had the necessary part with him and now I have hot water thanks to Enrique.

My Home Warranty Company sent these idiots into my home for a plumbing issue. They told me the Warranty company wouldn't cover the repair, they then quoted me an outrageous price to fix the problem. Had my regular plumber fix it at a reasonable price. Then I find out the Warranty company probably would have covered the repair. Can't recoup my money because I didn't use one of their shoddy contractors!

Beware ! Do not use for home warranty services. These techs work on commission and will try to oversell you.   I would like to share evidence of a bad experience with 5 Star Home Services.  Very Unprofessional craftsmanship was performed on my unit for a home warranty call on my air handler blower motor.  The Tech (Westly) that was sent to install my replacement motor did not properly install the motor housing which caused the motor fan to spin off balance which produced a loud continuous whomp sound keeping my wife and I awake in our bedroom, to the point we had to sleep in another area of the house. The Air Handler unit is above my bedroom ceiling.  He also did not ground the motor capacitor to the unit, in fact he didn't even take out of the box it came in.  He connected the motor capacitor still in its packaging, FIRE HAZARD !  He also left his trash box from the motor in my attic. I was forced to hire and pay for another tech from another company to come and remove and re install the motor housing properly and ground the motor capacitor, I have posted 4 pics. 3  pics are showing the circle around motor capacitor still in box connected and ungrounded and arrows showing the improper installation of motor housing ( not in its track) and the trash box from 5 star home services.  1 Pic showing the reinstallation of motor housing in its track by another company I had to hire. He also grounded and removed the capacitor from its box, EZ.  PLZ SEE ALL PICS.  I have two hvac units in my home.  The tech from 5 star home service wanted me to replace both hvac units. To be fair the tech from the company  I hired to repair the work recommended replacing just one unit.

We were having trouble getting hot enough water and decent pressure in our new home. 5 Star sent Steven out, and he found the problem right away. Steven was great. He was polite and friendly, took care of the problem quickly, checked the whole house to make sure he had solved the problem, and even helped with my toilets while he was there! I loved that even though I was given a huge window of time that the tech might show up, all I had to do was ask for a phone call when the tech was on his way, and I had a much better idea of when he was coming (instead of sitting around the house all day waiting). Steven texted me more than once to let me know how his schedule was going and when I could expect him.

We had a master bathroom shower that became very difficult to turn on.  We requested 5 Star Home Services through American Home Shield, our home warranty company.  Andy, from 5 Star, came to the house and diagnosed the problem quickly.  He was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.  Andy explained everything he was going to do and when completed he showed us the detoriorated part that had to be replaced.  We will definitely ask for 5 Star Home Services when future plumbing issues arise.

My home warranty sent them to repair our air conditioner.  Armen was clean, and communicated well during the process.  He did a basic service that was covered under the warranty, but indicated that our AC unit was on its last leg and likely near replacement.  Shortly after he left, the air stopped working again.  He came back out immediately, did an additional repair, showed me what he did, and then waited for over an hour to make sure that his fix lasted.  That was over 2 months ago and we're still running strong.  I would highly recommend 5 Star Home Services based on the fact that they were responsive, communicated well, and immediately reacted when the first repair on our old system didn't work correctly.  I'm keeping Armen's cell phone handy in the event that we have a future issue not covered under the home warranty.  Nice job 5 Star Home Services.

0 stars if i can give it. This company is a ripped off. I had problems with my ac few weeks ago when Vegas was in the middle of a heatwave. My wife and i had spoken to Moush almost everyday but he still seemed he had no clue on what is going on. They also charged me twice as much as the other company that fixed my ac last year for the same problem. They charged so much on the labor. Do not use this company.

I gave 5 Star Home Services 5 stars because I have used their services for problem air conditioners twice now and both times were great. They are right on time and do excellent work. I am especially impressed by Maria at the office and her eagerness to help in every way she can.
I'm in California and own 3 homes in Las Vegas. It means so much to deal with a company that I can depend on to take care of problems in my absence.
I highly recommend 5 Star Home Services.

Just had them out to check the A/C.  We wanted to make sure there was enough refrigerant.  We were told we needed a whole new compressor, which was going to run $2500, but his boss would give us a special for only $2000 if we purchased it right then.  I said nope.  Just had another A/C guy come out and he tells us that they are old but they are in great shape.  There is nothing wrong with them.  Be very wary of this company as they are crooks.

AC went out on Saturday afternoon, American Home Shield assigned 5 Star home services, i checked their yelp ratings and was a little concerned and thought of having another provider assigned based on other reviews, but before i could do that a dispatcher called on Sunday morning to say a tech would be out within the hour!  Technician Arthur called to say he would be at my house in 35 minutes.  35 minutes later Arthur was at the house diagnosing the problem, he found the AC compressor fan inop changed it out without any issues, made sure it came on, checked the charge, and made sure it was blowing cold. We finished up the paperwork, discussed the negative yelp reviews, which after my experience i don't understand, unless other technicians are the problem.  Nothing but positive professionalism on this experience!  Thanks Arthur and 5 Star!

I wanted to give them 0 stars, but couldn't. Was given an appt on Sat through my home warranty for Mon 11-3. Had toilet constant running and broken shut off handle, so appt was urgent. Mon at 8:00am 5 Star calls to make an appt for me for Tues. I say no I have an appt for today, long story short, 5 Star lied and they are unreliable. HW co said 5 Star makes the appt times.

After reading the reviews I called 5 Star Home Services to ask them about their reviews. I spoke to Henry and asked him if it was typical to threaten customers. Since my service requested was through my home warranty I didn't have a choice which company to use for my service request. When I asked Henry about some of the negative reviews he told me to call warranty company and request another company. Nice...professionalism at it's best. Now I get be put on  hold on the phone and try and request another company. Sorry 5 Star Home Services, I don't feel like trusting you with my AC problems are letting you near my family.

Horrible. The Home warranty company sent them out. They sent, Ryan. Ryan came in the house looked at the t-stat and said the AC was fine. He never looked at any of the AC equipment. He was here a total of 5 minutes. Right after he left, the AC quit working again. I called 5 star and explained to them that we have a one week old baby, and must have AC. Five star said they would send some one over after 4:00pm. At 4:30pm, I called and no one at five star would answer the phone. I called Ryan and he said, I was not on the list and he was not coming over. I then had to pay another company to come out a fix my AC. It was the motor,when cool it would run for a few minutes before it overheated and turned off. The best part is that Carla called me to ask for the $45.00 Ryan did not pick up. While Carla was very nice when I explained what happened, the communication and customer service was awful.

Our home warranty company had 5 Star Home Services come to our house repair our AC. Our home warranty company had to cancel the work order because 5 star was over 4 hours late. The technician apparently didn't get the message and when he found out he KICKED our gate in and broke it. Unless you want to go thru the hassle of repairing more things than were broken when they show up, DO NOT use this company. This is a horrible company and I am warning everyone I know.

I have to say when Five Star Home Services sends out Mario. The job gets done.   I had the worst and I mean the worst back up in my sewer line. He came today and within less than 1 hour it was unblocked.  He found the blockage and I was so happy as I did not have to pay for a major dig up in my yard to find the problem. Ask for Mario be finds the problem.  If Mario cannot find the problem. No one can.  Needless to say. I am impressed with them service from beginning to end. Call them

I was referred to them by my home warranty company. They came out to fix my tiolet a week ago and it still is constantly running even after the tank is full. Which was the same problem I had before it was SUPPOSED to be so-called fixed the last time. This is my first time dealing with them.I will not say the whole company is unprofessional just the plumber they sent out.Both times he is running late. My appointment is from 9-12pm he calls at 11:15am that he has to go pick up some keys but he doesn't have to if I don't want him to if that makes ANY sense.I just want my tiolet fixed.Then he sits on the phone explaining to me what he thinks the problem is.Hey I am no plumber if I was I wouldn't be calling someone to fix my tiolet. Yea he is just very unprofessional.This experience has been one big joke.I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I have used 5 Star on three occasions at both my residence and rental properties and each time have been completely satisfied. Two of the three times had Enrique come out and he is extremely polite, friendly and knows what he is doing. Also, each time they have arrived within an our of the appointment window (today my window was 11-1 and he arrived at 11:45) and they also call when they are 5-10 minutes from arriving. I can't recommend them highly enough. In my experience they live up to their 5 star name.

Water pressure and no leaks. It's a miracle. He's wonderful and super helpful. He also found another issue  and got it covered by my warranty. He went above and beyond! Steven came out to check a clogged laundry drain line. He showed up within the allotted service window and got right to work. Steven went above and beyond to check and snake multiple drain lines to ensure the problem wouldn't return. This was on of the best experiences I have ever had with a home repair service company.  

A gas leak was discovered in the home we recently purchased.  The warranty company sent someone completely incompetent and unable address the problem.  He told me it was going to cost thousands to repair the problem and it wasn't covered by the warranty.  

I called SW Gas and they recommended I call someone on their list of approved vendors.  Fortunately, I reached 5 Star Home Service.  The service man, Artur, and his associate arrived on time, were professional and neat.  Additionally, they were beyond polite, explained what they were doing and even asked if they could clean the glass for me while the fireplace was apart.  

The total repair bill from 5 Star was the same amount as the worthless service call from the first company.  

I highly recommend this company and will definitely call them should I need their services in the future.

I had scheduled AC service to have the tech Ryan come back to do the duct work as he was the one that did the initial 1st call on the service call.  Someone else showed up by the name of Chris to do the work.  He had no idea what was supposed to be done.  The company knew we wanted Ryan to come.  So they should have called in the morning to say that someone else was coming.  Will not be using this company or referring anyone to them.

Worse possible company I have ever done business with. Had to beg to get service for the A/C in 2 days when temps over 110. Tech had to get a motor from a family member as they don't carry the part. I paid extra for the part, this is a warranty company covered repair, and the problem wasn't  fixed. Had to beg again for another repair date 3 days later to fix the A/C right. Tech did a no-call no-show. Office told me it was still to happen, but texted the tech and he told me he resigned. No response to all calls that night. Next day was Sunday, and the person on the phone told me no technicians work on Sunday. Strange since their yelp listing states availability is 24/7. Avoid this company at all costs!

The Plummer, Steven, was in our home on April 25 to repair a leaky pipe in the wall. He was very pleasurable to work with, and very accommodating. He was a breath of fresh air, because other companies we've hired to do work in our new home have been extremely unreliable and unpleasant to work with. I had a problem with a guest room toilet that emanated a high pitch noise when another toilet in the house was flushed. My home warranty company dispatched to 5 star Home Services.  I immediately went to Yelp to see reviews.  For the most part they were very good and Steven was rated as excellent and very professional.  I was hoping they would send out Steven.  Within an hour I received a call from 5 Star dispatch to set an appt for today between 1-4, which was excellent.  20 minutes to 1pm I get a call from Steven (hallelujah) that his GPS said he was 20 minutes away....on the dot Steven showed up and the toilet was whistling as he walked in.  He introduced himself and immediately went to work identifying the problem.  He came prepared with parts to fix the problem and within 10 minutes had the problem resolved.  Steven explained the problem, reviewed what he had done to fix it and checked it out after the repair was complete.  Thank you 5 Star Home Services for the quick response and sending a qualified, professional technician that knew what he was doing!  Don't hesitate to call  5 Star and ask for Steven..what a pleasant experience!

Horrible company, you should avoid using them. My home warranty company sent them out to fix my AC unit. It took over 24 hours to for them to call and set up my appointment, took another 48 hours before arrival. I thought they fixed the problem but then I had to call them to come back out. The unit was running sooooo loud that my neighbors called to complain. They came and fixed it but then fast forward a week....not working again. Its going to take them 72 hours to come back out which I think it totally unacceptable. We have a toddler and 2 small dogs and have to waste more money on a hotel. Save yourself the hassle and use a different company!! The only good part about this company is that the technicians are friendly.

This company was sent to my home by my home warranty service. Art, the technician who came out initially assess the stoppage I had in my kitchen sink, said it was a garbage disposal problem and changed out the garbage disposal. When the clog occurred again I called to have them come out to fix it again and he didn't even look under the sink to see what the stoppage could be he simply ran the garbage disposal Until the water went down. What he wrote on my receipt and the receipt he gave to my home warranty company were two different things and my home warranty company tried to charge me for another service call. When I read to them what he had written on my receipt it was totally different than what he reported to them so I refused to pay them. I still had a plumbing stoppage after three weeks. I told my home warranty service just send another company out, they did, and the problem was fixed in 30 minutes. Five star home services technician art didn't even look to see if there was a clean out the pipe under my sink. I had asked him to snake the drain which he never did and once the drain and the cleanout pipe were snaked I have no more plumbing stoppage. This company isn't worth your time.

As being renters who's landlord has a home warranty policy we are subject to whoever the company chooses to contract the work. Our A/C went out on a Monday morning to which a scheduled tech through 5 Star was set to come the following day between 2-5. The tech apparently shows up earlier than the time allotted, doesn't give a call, and then leaves. I contacted customer service to which I had to reschedule a new appointment for the following day between 3-6. Wednesday now and again the same tech arrives earlier than the time allotted and leaves with no call. Upon again talking to customer service we are told the tech refuses to come back and has made attempts to call. So not only is their tech a liar but has zero interest in the care of customers. I'm completely taken aback by business practices and communication for a company that deals with KEEPING PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN A DESERT COOL! You'd think keeping people from dying would be a little important to you.

Don't call this company I had a service call to have someone come out to my house from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. came by no phone call from anybody so I decided to call and I spoke to the lady that made my appointment yeaterday and she told me that someone changed my time between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. they never called me to tell me my time has been changed. My water heater began leaking profusely so I called my extended home warranty company.  They called 5 Star and gave them my claim.  The technician came out the next day and agreed that I needed a replacement but he didn't have a 75 gallon on his truck, plus he needed another helper.  He collected the $75 copay and agreed to come out the next day.  But he said he would have to charge another $300 for parts, which made me wonder because my previous heater was up to code and I wasn't clear on what else was needed.  But I wanted my hot water back so I paid.  When I have had other items replaced by the home warranty company, everything but the $75 copay was include.  At any rate, after everything was installed, they left and we waited for the tank to fill with warm water.  But by the end of two days later, we found we didn't get hot water at the sinks or showers unless we turned on the hot water taps for 5 minutes or more at full force.  That was a complete waste of time and water so we called the warranty company back. They said 5 Star would come back.  When the technician returned, he spent about an hour tinkering in the garage where the heater is located.  Finally it seemed as if all was working well and he left.  A few days later I get a call saying I owed another $75 because the second call was for fixing a new problem.  I argued at length that the problem was the lack of hot water. Which should have been taken care of at the time of installation.  I also talked to the warranty company, who took the word of the technician and said that we had to pay the second $75, or they wouldn't honor any future service calls, even though I had paid a year upfront for the warranty plan and had time still remaining.  Since I was over a barrel, I sent a check in the mail to the company.  Over a week later I get an email saying I still owed the $75 to them!  I called immediately and they said they never got it.  I checked with the bank who said it had been cashed 3 days after I mailed it.  5 Star wouldn't take my word for it or even my faxing a print out of both sides of the cancelled check. They only wanted a special form from the bank, which I got and sent to them.  The bank form verified that the endorsed stamp on the back was from their company.  I insisted on a receipt this time, which I got, but I never got an apology for their lack of proper bookkeeping!  And now I will be sending copies of the receipt and bank form myself to the warranty company because I don't trust 5 Star to handle it properly!

They were referred by Choice He Warranty. Was very easy to schedule appointment, showed up on time. My 1st appt was on 1a Weds. They diagnosed and said they had to order a part. By Friday morning I had not heard from them so I called them. They scheduled the repair to be done Sat between 9-12. At 12:05, no technician so I called and was told tech is on his way now. Within 15 mins he arrived and promptly fixe1d the a/c. I will definitely use them again if/when needed.

Just bought a house a month a go and my AC went out. I was referred by my home warranty providers to call 5 star home service which I was a little skeptical about. So my apt. Time was between the hours of 3:00pm-6:00pm and the man comes about 4:00pm and calls before to confirm that I was home, already impressed!! When he got to my house he is was very professional and clean cut he introduced himself and took a look at the problem, he look at my unit for a good hour trying to weigh out repairs and replacement cost, he called my home warranty providers and explained that it would be better to replace the unit verses repairing and in the long run everyone would save money. My home warranty is picking up the majority of the replacement cost all because of the 5 star technician experience and excellent expertise and with very minimal out of pocket expense to me. I still haven't gotten my AC unit in yet but so far impressed with my experience with this company.  I got service on the same day and did I mention it was Saturday! I will keep u all posted once my AC unit is installed should be Monday or Tuesday.  Crossing my fingers...

I requested service for my air conditioning on Thursday, August 16th 2018 thru Choice Home Warranty Co.  I was told by 5 star a technician would be dispatched on Monday, August 20th.  On Friday I called and spoke with a pleasant woman who said she would change the appointment to today, August 18th due to water leaking in my nieces bedroom.  I understood that the warranty did not cover the water damage.  I just wanted the leak to be stopped as soon as possible to prevent further damage.  The appointment for today was to be scheduled after 2pm.  At approximately 4:15pm I called 5 star to make sure I was on their schedule.  I spoke with a woman who said her name was Laura.  This woman insisted she spoke with me yesterday and insisted that I cancelled the work order.  I explained that I had not spoke with anyone cancelling the service call.  This woman who seemed devoid of humanness argued with me and again insisted I cancelled my much needed service call.  That's Totally Asinine.  Needless to say I was very frustrated.  I asked to speak with someone else and was told she Laura was the only one there.  This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.  When you hear 5 star you think of exceptional service.  This woman is doing a horrific disservice to the 5 star name.  She lacks everything required of a customer service agent.  I am appalled  by her extreme lack of at least empathy.  Can you imagine a person telling you something you know you did not do?  Insisting over and over I cancelled my much needed service call.   So now the water is still leaking and further damage is occurring.  I will be filing a complaint with State Dept of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau on Monday.

5 star home services has been working with me and my warranty company trying to fix my air conditioners.  They have gone out of their way and have been able to fix various problems as they have come up.

I give these guys High 5's..... and I don't do that often!  They where sent out from my home warrantee service provider, something I always freak out about when they send someone I do not know.
So, holding my breath  to see what this adventure would be like I must say they are now on my list.
First call from the office to set an appointment was pleasant and painless.
First visit the guy looked at the water heater made the proper call that it was shot, and once approved within minutes from the insurance provider, removed the unit and made it easy for us to clear the area that had water damage. He was just great about it....
Of course because it was the weekend and I knew it would take  a day or so for a new unit it worked out as I split town anyway (talk about odd timing), so come Monday he was back on the job, placed a new water heater in used new parts and didn't try to play games using the old stuff  and did a clean job and within an hour I was back with hot water....

Must say these days it's great to see people who take pride in their job and have good customer service

Our home warranty company selected this company to come out and do some plumbing repairs. We needed a new garbage disposal and 2 toilets fixed. I was contacted by someone to schedule an appointment and she was very nice and accommodating. She was able to get us down for the following afternoon. The plumber arrived right on time and he did call when he was on his way just as I requested. He was super nice and efficient. He diagnosed and fixed the problems really quickly and explained everything he was doing and why it needed to be done. He even gave us some suggestions as to what amount of warranty coverage we should have to make sure that if certain things went wrong in our home that we would be fully covered. He had nothing to gain by doing that as this company serves many warranty companies and he doesn't sell warranties or anything like that. I was really happy with our service and I would be totally willing to use them again for future plumbing needs.

We had a problem with the ac not working in our home, the technician came right away and fixed the problem within 30 minutes! I will definitely recommend them and will use them again, I don't know what the lady below is saying because the owner was extremely nice and loyal...

stay away from this place!!!! the owner is a nasty man and his office staff is incompetent.. took almost two weeks to get my repair done.. everyday was a different excuse and never any fault of theirs...

This is the company that was selected by American Home Shield, my home warranty company.  They came out to look at the scene unit, we had to call because it was almost past our appointment time and no one had called to say they were going to be late.  The issue according to the tech was the compressor.  He said he would have to get authorization from AHS.  I got a call the next morning from AHS authorizing repair, but also to let me know about the charges not covered.  The warranty now only covers $10 per lbs of refrigerant.  This company was charging $45 per lbs.  2 other companies in the area quoted me $24-$26 per lbs.  They were charging $50 to dispose of the compressor and they wanted $250 for a crane to put the compressor on the roof.   A crane for the compressor????  I called and spoke to the office manager and he told he he was giving me a discount because they normally charge $80 per lbs, and he shouldn't even do that because it's peak season. Total bs!  Called AHS to complaint about this contractor. Cancelled my service request.  Do not use this service.  The supposed 5 star reviews don't even seem to be real customers.  Read the real reviews.

5 Star was assigned to me by Old Republic Home Protection Company.  My water heater failed and flooded my garage.  It took 2 days for them to come out.  When they did, beside replacing the water heater, they identified  aspects of the old water heater that they said violated code.  They communicated this information to the service writers at Old Republic, who then echoed it back to me.  The water heater itself was replaced through Old Republic, however the extras to meet code and the city permit nearly nearly doubled what the home warranty covered.  I had to pay 5 Star for hundreds of dollars extra.   The city inspector came out to inspect the work, and reviewed the invoice from 5 Star.  He advised me that one or more items were not code items at all, and that I had been charged triple what the city permit would have required.  He recommended contacting the Contractors Board.  Bottom line?  I definitely will not recommend Old Republic, or 5 Star to anyone.
