DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE RUDE DISHONEST FROM THE START. The first time they tried to clean the drain it did not last 12 hours. I was told a 90 day warranty. When I called the second time I was told there was no warranty. They refused to give me a refund. I am out 220 bucks since I have to  hire someone else to do the job right. They left a mess for me to cleanup. The technician complained the whole time he has a bad back. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. THEY SUCK ! ! ! !    The Second attempt was even worse. It was clogged an hour after they left. The technician has no idea what he is doing. The mess is 10 times worse almost like he did it on purpose. We will be going to small claims court definitely on this mess. PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COMPANY ! ! !

OVERPRICED!!! I called for a quote on a simple main line snake. I asked them to go 125 feet to the city line and they told me there is an additional charge to go past 120 feet. With all the extra fees it would have cost me $590.00 at the end of the job. I politely told them I wasn't using their service. He was very rude and hung up on me. The plumber I ended up using was $260.00. Pass on Mr. Rotor!

If I could give a no star rating I would.  I had a horrible sewage smell coming from my sink and tub...made my whole house stink!  Called Mr. Rooter the plumber came over and said I can't smell anything...I don't know what it could be.

No mind you I had friends come over and they could smell it when they hit my front door.  It was so strong that I had a headache and had to sleep with the front door open to let fresh air in because they couldn't get to my house the same day I called.

Yeah so the guy from Mr. Rooter was like yeah I don't know what it is I can't smell it.  He did nothing but stand in my bathroom saying it over and over again until he finally turned and walked out the door.

I called another plumber and he went right under my bathroom sink and found the problem in less then 2 minutes!!!  Needless to say I called Mr. Rooter and complained.  The receptionist was very nice and said she would relay the message to the owner.  Never got a call back, but they did send me a $50 credit towards any plumbing work that I may have.  But I wouldn't use them even to save $50 bucks!

Main line of my house clogged up. They were able to respond quickly, but the tech was kind of rude and demeaning, and then he mentioned it would be $365 to snake the main line, crazy expensive. Usually costs $150-250max

We hired Mr. Rooter to clean a drain at my commercial restaurant. They did not clear the drain and apparently do not stand behind their services. If you want the job done, DO NOT call Mr. Rooter. The job will not be done well :(

We had an urgent job as we moved from out of state into a new home in summer 2016. Upon unpacking we found out our kitchen sink did not work. (This did not sit well with us particularly as we complained to the realtor, prior owner, inspector, and home warranty company.) We have two dogs and a young child.

After a few phone calls, a newish plumber came out (initials are S.C.) from Mr. Rooter. This plumer spent about four hours trying to take out the faucet which apparently needed sawing and hammering out the old fixture. (Our home is about 10 years old.) He made three separate trips to Menards, just down the street, because he couldn't get the right shut off valves which legitimately needed replacement. (To be fair, the hard water -- prior owners did not install a softener -- was likely the original culprit.) In the end, he scratched our countertop and sink and dented part of the sink. We were way overcharged (over $300) for this. To add insult upon injury, we were billed THREE separate times for this charge in the subsequent month, despite my proving to the company that the bill was fully paid the day of service.

This brand new Delta fixture (which we purchased) is not working right. We still curse this company out now. The sink handle (now super loose) does not completely shut off unless you perfectly align it slightly off from center. There's no way to tighten it without buying a new fixture. He must have broken the stem underneath the sink because it will occasionally leak if you get any water near the handle above.

Had this company out 2 times for a gas leak. The first time it was fixed and I felt I was charged appropriately. The second time the guy twisted in the pipes to where he was literally shaking and another leak was found in the same run, so I had him just remove it to cap it off. When he put the cap on he got to a point where he couldn't twist it anymore, so he braced himself and twisted so hard his arms started shaking that the cap split, then said he had to leave to get a new cap. I feel that he intentionally broke this cap to charge more. I was charged 3 times as much as the first time. I don't think I'll ever use this company again.

I called on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend. They gave me an afternoon timeslot for their arrival. They called and said they were able to come an hour earlier. I had two plumbers recommend Mr Rooter to me but after reading some of the reviews online I had some reservations. The plumber that arrived was courteous, capable and extremely professional. I asked his name, (Jaime) because I was so impressed! My toilet is good to go! I would definitely recommend this plumber!

Mr Rooter was able upon the second visit able to clean out the drain at my mother's house but the technician lacked any semblance of customer service skills. The managers argues with me and hung up on me. I hope they are proud they were able to make my 96 old mother cry.  I would spend your money at other plumbers who would provide a better service experience.

Mr. Rooter shows up to unclog my sink at work and refused to put a mask on during covid19. me thinks not!!! I would not risk my staff to this! The guy was very rude about wearing a mask and so I asked him to leave and his reply was whatever. We wont be calling them again!!!

Used this company once and WILL never go with them again. Absolutely insane prices. One of my rental properties had a shower knob that had become detached. There was a possibility that valve and stem would need replacement so handyman recommended a plumber. As it turned out, no repair needed but instead just affix the knob back with 2 screws that had come lose. $212 service charge!!!

Friends used Mr. Rooter about 4 years ago and purchased the life time warranty about $6,000 worth of work.  This was work from the house to the street, main drain.  The plumbing problem started up again and and they called Mr. Rooter to honor they warranty, and since the original paper work was destroyed in a house fire they will not honor the warranty, because as the lady on the phone stated we don't keep records of this, because if we did keep all these records we would have to have  warehouse to hold them all.  What happened to a paperless world.  There went $6,000 down the drain.  I would not go to this company if it was the last plumber on earth.

If I could give no stars I would. Honestly this company and employees are a bunch of crooks. I have no problem with the 25 dollar fee to inspect but they should at least inspect. Guy came over walked in pulled out a pricing sheet didn't even look at the the problem and stated that's gonna cost $260 bucks. Then said do have you have my 25 bucks. He didn't look at the problem!! I will never recommend them to anyone ever. I have him the 25 bucks and sent him on his way I don't want that kind of person working on my home. Terrible business and worse ethic.

Should have listened to the other bad reviews. They didn't show up at all for an appointment. When they did come a few days later, the person was quite rude.

We called Mr. Rooter out last week and the experience was phenomenal! They sent someone to us within and hour of us calling and fixed the same day. The plumber was clean and explained everything before he started. I recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber!

Don't use this company!  They do not have integrity! They will offer to come out and look at your issue for free.  However, they will end up saying you have an issue when there isn't one and charge you way more than any of the other competitors!!

My advice is to stay away from this company!!

Mr. Rooter came to inspect my low water pressure and were very nice to talk and respectful at first. They informed me that I needed a new water line from the street to my house and it would cost $12,500 dollars. After getting over the initial shock I asked them if we could check to see if the water was turned on at the street all the way and before spending $12,500 replace the few connections right where the water comes into the house next to the meter. I told them it only seemed logical to me to spend $20 in parts and 30 minutes of time to do these things before jumping into the big replacement of the line. At this point they spoke in a disrespectful manner and in an angry tone and told me that they don't put band aids on things and to do what I asked would costs between $650-$1000 dollars. Wow, 30 minutes of work and $20 dollars in parts for that much money shocked me again. I informed them that I would let them know soon what I wanted to do. Next, I contacted the City to check the connection at the street and to shut the water off because I was going to change the $20 parts near the meter myself instead of paying $650-$1000. What's funny is when the City came out and talked to me about the pressure they suggested replacing the $20 parts like I wanted to do before replacing the whole line for $12,500.  I was in shock and very happy to find that after the $20 replacement of parts that I now had good pressure.  Not long after I talked to a very smart cousin of mine and he suggested doing what I did as well before spending the money. So, why does it take a rookie like me to spend $20 and a few minutes of work to fix the issue when the so called professionals said I had to spend $12,500 to fix it?  I bet you can guess.  I would never use the Mr. Rooter thieves just because the disrespectful way they talked to me alone, even without their piss poor evaluation of the problem.

I called Mr. Rooter because I had a leak in a pipe that was leaking in my garage.  The tech came out, cut a hole in my ceiling, fixed it and left it.  This cost me $490.  I truly believe I was grossly over charged.  After that tech left, the floor drain in my basement backed up and flooded my basement floor with what I was told was sewage which now will cost me to have my flooring, carpet and drywall cut out and replaced.  I have had plumbers to my  home before and I have never had anything like this happen.  I called again and a new tech came out.  He claimed my main drain was clogged.  To unclog it, it would cost me another $400+.  By this time I'm fuming.  He then said it would be an additional charge to unclog the floor drain I feel the first technician did something to cause this problem.  I have NEVER had that issue before! The second tech was a smart ass and very unprofessional.  I'm done with them and will be sure to tell anyone who needs plumbing work done not to call them.  I wish I had read the reviews before calling them....my fault.

My husband called Mr. Rooter last Sunday afternoon at 2pm, because we had water backing up through our basement drain.  We were happy to hear that they didn't charge extra for Sunday visits, so we had them add us to the list for that day.  At that time we were told there were 3 jobs ahead of us.  When we still hadn't heard from anyone around 6:30, my husband called back and we were told the plumber was running behind.  He finally called at 8, but due to cell phone issues, the call immediately went to voicemail without ringing.  When we discovered the voicemail 20 minutes later, my husband immediately called back and left a message, because no one answered at that number.  We never heard back that evening.  The next morning, when we still hadn't heard back, my husband called Aksarben ARS, who came out promptly and took care of the problem, with great customer service.  We never heard back from anyone from Mr. Rooter and will not call them again or recommend them, due to the poor customer service.

We had issues with our underground sprinkler system and knew it had something to do with our water pressure. Called Mr. Rooter and they came out to do a free inspection (called a few other plumbers and they would charge us just to do an inspection). Our plumber (Martin) came out on time, was very professional, found the problem and was able to fix the problem that same day. Martin also found a few other issues we had that we didn't even know about, but he didn't push anything on us, fixed exactly what we wanted him to and to top it all off they didn't charge us an arm and a leg.

We will be using Mr. Rooter anytime we need a plumber because of their fair prices, they get the job done right and their great customer service!

We used this company years ago and were given a lifetime warranty on the work. No big surprise that when it came time to honor the warranty, they refused to do so and in fact were quite rude about it. Terrible experience with dishonest people. Take your business elsewhere.

Great honest people. They explained the repairs to my disabled parents. Unlike other companies who tried to upsale and take advantage of their mental disabilities!! Mr. Rooter took great time and care to make sure they understood everything. I will always call them, couldn't ask for better.

Had a plumber come unclog the sink in our master bathroom.  There's black stuff all over the countertop, the floor, and the bathtub.  He didn't even work on the bathtub.  Everything we had on the edge of the tub (shampoo, body wash, bar soap and two clean folded towels) are in the bathtub and completely soaked.  The towels have black stuff all over them.
