Major Drain

Major Drain was extremely professional, honest and transparent throughout the process. When one of their plumbing auger machines broke, they stopped the clock to fix so I wouldn't be charged for the time. They were very thorough and inspected their work. My basement floor drain had backed up so I hired another plumber who came out and only put a camera in the Main Stack and told me the clog was clear and water flowing and tried to sell me another service called descaling for $2500 because he said that probably caused the clog. I declined. At that time, I hired a restoration company to come clean the mess and coincidentally decided to take a shower before they came (again the first plumber told me the clog was cleared) and discovered the floor drain backed up again, obviously there was still a clog. Apparently the first plumber did not thoroughly do his job and look at the 2nd Main Stack which was clogged and caused the back up.

The sign of a good business is determined by the service  when something doesn't go according to plan.  

After service, my drain wasn't working properly and the problem persisted.  Brent's brother followed up to offer help.  He began to diagnose the drain problem as roots.  He explained that it would now take two people to complete the job and there would potentially be damage to the structural integrity of the plumbing.  They would comp the first hour due to not fixing the problem.  

The bill was going to be more expensive than I could afford with two people and no agreed upon price  to resolve the problem.  So, I told him I would rent equipment and try it myself.  If there was potential damage I would have to live with it.  It took 30 minutes and we were done.  No roots.

Months went by and I received an email requesting full payment.  After calling, Brent postured that the billing was fair.  I said we then have nothing further to talk about.  Next I received a call from their legal department.  I called to see if we could reach a resolution.   The lady who took my call said she didn't have much time.  She told me I could make full payment or they would put a lean on my house.  I explained the situation to her and she hung up.  I then received another email.  

Take it for what it's worth.  They are just trying to run a business, but if thing don't go their way they lack professionalism to resolve conflict.

$107 to snake the line from the kitchen sink that kept backing up. Friendly and upfront. Couldn't ask for more! Would call them again if we have a problem.

The guys from Major Drain showed up before their expected arrival window and less than half an hour after I called for help clearing a floor drain. They gave me complete details on what I should expect to pay and it came in less than I expected.... just $192 to clear the drain to the street. I definitely would recommend them!

John and the Major Drain team did an amazing job with our plumbing/drainage issue, and we could not be more happy with the results.

We submitted a request for a quote over Yelp, within an hour they'd already replied with their pricing and availability, and even though we were not at all in an emergency situation, they still came out the very next morning and fixed everything perfectly.

We have little kids, so we specifically requested a notice when they were on the way, and not only did the office call ahead to ask us for permission to move our timeframe a bit earlier in the day (which works fine for us) but then John also took the time to call and let us know when he was 10 minutes out. The communication and reliability from everyone at Major Drain was incredibly appreciated!

Once John got to our house, he looked at the issue, immediately knew what was wrong, and in less than an hour he'd bought the items needed and resolved our issue for us.

Most of all the thing that really stuck out to me was the quality of service. John didn't just fix the leaky drain in question, he also ran the washing machine through all its cycles after fixing the drain to make sure the issue was fully resolved. I was not expecting that at all (I was planning on doing it myself while he was still here) but the fact that he went above and beyond to make sure the issue was completely fixed really stood out to me and I really appreciated that.

Just moved to Omaha from out of state and needed to have our gas grill hooked up to gas.  Major Drain was very reliable, they showed up on time and did a great job. I would highly recommend them & would defiantly use them again!

I have used Major Drain two times. Both times they were on time, explained the job, did the job quickly and charged exactly what they quoted. No upsell or wasted time. One of these calls was a Saturday emergency and it went great. I would and will recommend Major Drain HIGHLY!

chad is a rude liar and company is very sneaky.....he never said he had to charge for cleaning another drain, did it and THEN charged us...he should have explained charges and didn't...he goes to truck and calls company and spends 20 min getting his bill itemized...don't believe in the 130.00 quote...they add every thing up that is usually included in other companies....would NEVER use again....biggest rip off people.....had to give a 1 star...not even worth that....

and oh yes, he left the basement door to garage open so cat could have gotten out...didn't even have enough professionalism to close the door after himself!!!! most companies explain what they are doing and what it will cost...major drain just makes it up as they go, and spends almost as much time writing up the bill with the help from the office on phone from truck...chad never explained a thing...just said I need to write up your bill....boy when they say that....watch out...

I've got to update my review, called yesterday 5/19 for a clogged kitchen sink, Major Drain said they'd be out between 3 and 4. Close to 4 I was called to be told their plumber had gotten hung up on another job and would not be able to make it and rescheduled for 5/20. Completely understand that these things come up and there's not much that can be done sometimes. Appt for today was supposed to be from 5-6p, it's now quarter past 6p and I've gotten no call and nobody showed up. Call to Major Drain went to their answering service. As impressive as the company was the first time I used them it has been equally unimpressive this time. Splitting the difference and going with a 3 star rating, will update if things improve.

Update: guy showed up 20 mins after appt window, unfortunately immediately after I dumped Draino down the sink....

Let me tell! I have had MD come out 2x for drain issues. Honest, no upsales and so far class act. Would highly recommend. Staff is pro, efficient and honest.

Jane from Major drain worked with me on my issue and communicated questions to Mike, who is , I suppose the owner? Mike reviewed my email to him, did the necessary research about my plumbing problem, and Jane got back to me with some answers. Even though we didn't end up scheduling the job with them and used a friend of a friend to do it, but we really appreciated the complementary info and their expertise. I highly recommend Major Drain! Unfortunately I called Burton first. Below you can read my Burton review. When I reviewed Burton I included a photo of their solutions estimate. I don't want to include it here, in case someone confuses Major Drain with Burton, but you can see the photo on the Burton Yelp page.

Beware! Burton will rip you off. My kitchen sink was clogged, and despite paying a $9.95 monthly fee to be on their service contract, they could not send anyone to my home until the next day. When the guy arrived, he looked at the kitchen sink, then wanted to see the laundry room and bath close by. He went to the basement, then out to his truck for half an hour. Came back in with a folded up estimate. We sat down and he tried to sell me one of 6 solutions.

I told him to leave. I didn't want a Burton solution. I then called 'Major Drain'. Someone came out within an hour, snaked my drain, and charged me $139.10

Our house's previous owners weren't too good with maintenance: we had a horrible case of a backed-up laundry drain late on a Sunday afternoon. I called Major Drain and when they got back to me, they were able to arrive only an hour later! They cleaned out our disgusting drain and a clogged laundry pipe too, and all of that was done in less than an hour. They were EXTREMELY reasonable with the price, and the service was quick and efficient. We will definitely be using Major Drain in addition to our normal plumber for all our plumbing/drain needs.

I called Major Drain after snaking my kitchen sink line and hitting a spot far down the line I couldnt get past.  The guys came out and long story short let me know I had some problems around 20ft down the line and they marked the spot for me on my basement floor after locating the problem area with their camera.  They said they could dig it out for me for very reasonabke price but I let them know I felt pretty comfortable digging the pipe out myself.  They told me to call with any questions along the way.  I cut a foot long section out and discovered I had a giant acorn that had wedged itself in there from a squirrel that burrowed in the vent pipe and slowly over time the grease and sludge packed in behind it making it impossible to free!  I couldnt of asked for any better service and these guys saved me a ton of money.  They even put a new floor drain where I had dug in since I already was down there and it cost me hardly anything else.  They turned a $1000+ job for me into a $500 fix and new floor drain.  Dont hesitate to call these guys before wasting your time anywhere else.  Their prices, customer service, honesty, and advice are second to none.

We just moved to a new house, and had some issues with water pressure and constantly running toilets.  The plumber and his apprentice were timely, professional, did top-notch work, and were punctual and responsive when they needed to come back with a part.

Ultimately, there was a small manufacturing defect in one of the parts they installed, and we had to have someone else out to fix it.  When I called to let them know, Brent (the owner) took immediate responsibility, covered my costs, and made it right.  I couldn't ask for a better relationship!

We had a leaky toilet at the base. I called them on a Sunday, yes they answered the phone, and by 11:15 am Monday, the problem was fixed at a very reasonable price. Yes, we'll definitely call them again for any plumbing issues.

Call Major Drain if you are looking for service that is friendly, punctual, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. They have helped our poor old house out with some plumbing issues, always at less than we expected, and were honest with us when the issue (freezing pipes) wasn't something we needed a plumber for, but rather a carpenter to fix insulation issues.

I have been putting off calling a professional for a drain issue because I was concerned about it being expensive. I finally broke down and was referred to Major Drain by a friend. Not only was this long time issue fixed in like 15 minutes ..but it was the exact price they quoted - like $139 with tax. Turns out it was just a clog. Chad was great explained everything, quick and didn't try to upsell! I think if there is someone worried about a plumbing issue - give them a call and give them a chance.

I had Major Drain out a couple of years ago when my regular plumber couldn't get come.

I had a huge flood in my basement due to a plugged mainline drain.  It appeared to be caused by wipes.  I told the plumber that we didn't use wipes, but he didn't believe me.  I asked why we would have wipes plugging up our drain when we didn't use them, and he said, Because you do.

Major Drain was out three times in four days.  Cost me a fortune.  The plug was not removed.  The company did not give me any warrenty on the work, so I had to pay each time they came.  Not a happy camper, to say the least.

When my kitchen sink stopped up I called Major Drain to see if they could come out to fix it. The phone was answered by a very friendly lady who gave me a one hour window for the same day. She also gave me an estimate as to what the cost would be if problem fixed in one hour. Chad showed up on time and was very friendly and professional.He unstopped the sink in less than an hour and left the work area very clean. I will not hesitate to use this company again when needed.

First to respond out of three queries with a reasonable quote and details to give me enough information to except the ... Very responsive to my work schedule... And very responsive to conditions we encountered in my home. Great service great price, I would use major drain again

I spent $150.00 to be told they couldn't clear my drain, that the equipment wasn't on the truck and that I should have requested a plumber. That there is a difference between a drain cleaner and plumber but he did give me estimates (not written) on two other jobs... On the plus side, the company answered the phones professionally and had someone to my house in less than two hours. I told them the issue and the age of my house which should have indicated what equipment and skill level was needed. I was never informed staff weren't necessarily plumbers. I thought I was calling a plumbing company. The website indicates plumbing services. The tech was a very nice guy and felt bad. But not as bad as I did writing a $150 check so I could continue to go to the laundromat. I have to say also that some of the wordings in a couple of reviews are almost word for word the same which makes me doubt their legitimacy. Even with my experience, I will say everyone was really nice and might be tempted to give a second chance if it was something really simple but I think I'll have someone else fix my drain, replace a corroded pipe and put in a new disposer. I'm just not comfortable after spending so much for nothing.

We called Major Drain to address a clogged sink in our kitchen. Within one hour of my call, they had it fixed. We were extremely happy with the fast turnaround time and reasonable price.

I have used Major Drain twice; once for a clog in the main sewer line and a second clog in the line from the kitchen sink.  The first time I selected them I picked them because they were transparent on the website about their hourly fee and very responsive.  The second time I tried another plumber who did not return my call and called Major Drain.  As the first time, there were no extra charges, no attempts to do more than was necessary, and they responded very quickly.  Always very courteous.  They guarantee their work.  They will be my first choice from now on.

John came out 2 hours earlier than originally quoted, which was great!  We had a fairly deep clog in one of our pipes, but he was able to take care of it in about 20 minutes.  He was personable and very knowledgeable.  We would definitely recommend Major Drain to others.  Their prices are exactly what is quoted on their webpage and very reasonable.  They also came out on a Saturday afternoon, which to some plumbers is weekend pricing.  Major Drain includes Saturdays in their regular pricing.  We will use them again.

We ended up having to call Major Drain on Easter Sunday afternoon. They came out immediately and had the problem fixed (snaked our main line) in less than an hour - they even managed to get cleaned up and out of the house before our dinner guests arrived! Minimal service charge for it being a weekend (and a holiday!) Very happy with our service from Major Drain.

Major Drain is fast and economical - call them for drains or plumbing work of any kind. They will get there fast and their quality is second to none. Don't think twice - they're the one to use.

Major Drain was great to work with.  Shawn was able to camera our connection to an older sewer line.  They were able to coordinate their appointment with city inspector so we could pass inspection.

Saw lots of positive reviews for Major Drain on Yelp, so when I came home to a backed up basement drain I decided to give them a shot.

10 yrs ago had some major sewer issues and dealt with multiple drain cleaning companies....they all SUCKED compared to Major Drain

- excellent rate (similar to rates I was paying 10 yrs ago)
- thorough -- tech used a 160 ft pipe cable/snake, and spent sufficient time to verify drains flowing clear.  Well done

THE BEST.  If you're looking for a plumber, your search should stop with these guys.  Professional, considerate of your home and your time, and affordable.  My go-to for everything plumbing related in my house.

I was in the middle of a renovation in basement bathroom. Had to turn off water to vanity and tried the knob. Broke. Had to turn off main water.

We have an annual contract with a plumber and called. They have no available slots. I said it's an emergency, I can't turn my water on! No joy.

I tried a few plumbers from a quick Google search. Same result. Apparently, there aren't any plumbing services that cater to emergencies?

I visited Yelp to do more searching. I came across Major Drain by happenstance. They had some good reviews. I called, got a very friendly woman and explained my problem.

She put me on hold for a moment then told me one of her techs just had a cancellation and he could be at my house in just a few minutes.

Very responsive and right on time.  Cleared two drains in 40 minutes without leaving a mess.  The tech was very friendly and explained their pricing very clearly prior to beginning the job ($90 for the first hour/drain, $25 for the second and a $10 fuel charge).  With tax, the total was in the neighborhood of $130. This is less than half of what I paid another local, large company a couple of years ago for a similar job.  Would definitely recommend.

Called to get a leaking toilet fixed. 3 1/2 hours and $219 later, toilet still leaks and I have to clean a huge mess before I can go buy a new one (and the place he recommended closes in 10 minutes ) I have to wait and see if the new faucet holds.

We just had Major Drain out to fix our clogged kitchen drain.  A friend (plumber) recommended them as many plumbing companies do not auger drains.  Their website is great - actually states cost of service.  I called after hours, left a message, and I had a phone call at 0830 the next morning someone would be out between 11 & 12.  A very professional and nice young plumber, Brent, came a few minutes early and cleared the drain within 30 minutes.  He answered all of our questions &  was very careful to clean up after his work.  We highly recommend this company (& Brent!).

We hired MD to Hydro Jet tree roots out of our sewer line. They showed up on time and got right to work. The job took practically all day ($ouch$) but they cleared the line. It ended up being quite a bit more than I was expecting to pay. They did work with us on the price. This is the third different company we have hired in 9 years to clear roots. As far as the actual work performed, MD was on par with the others. What sets them apart from the others we have dealt with is the digital invoicing and I thought it was a GREAT touch to send a private youtube link recording of our cleared line. I do not think I will hire anyone else to service our drains other than Major Drain.

I had a great experience with Major Drain after my basement had been finished incorrectly by another plumber, which was causing my main drain to backup with water. They were very knowledgeable and fixed the problem within the week. They were also affordable in my opinion compared to other plumbers.

I had a clogged bathroom sink; Major Drain came and had the drain running in 15 minutes.  The ad on the home page of Major Drain states $90 / hour; the fine print in that box states, for the first hour followed by prorated billing in 15 minutes.  When the technician presented the bill it was for $107., there was an added fuel charge of $10.  That information can't be found unless you click on Pricing, and if you scroll down to the bottom of that page you see the additional $10 charge for fuel.  I spoke with owner Brent Geddings about my disappointment with the fuel charge and he said that is the way it is and was not interested in my concern.

First of all, the office is very responsive and had the plumber out in very good time.  Working with only one toilet can be an issue now and then with a full house and the company prior to MD was just trying to sell a new toilet.  Second, the plastic ring was cracked and causing leaks, super simple to fix and reset the toilet.  There was no need to be days without a second toilet.  Thanks to Matt for coming to the rescue and getting us upgraded and reset in NO TIME.  We won't ever be using another company.  Thanks to MD for getting life back on track!

On time and very professional. Quickly determined problem and fixed in under an hour. Fairly priced. Will be my go to plumber from this point forward.

This is the BEST BEST plumber in town.  They do great work and show up on time. They have saved me money.

Yeah I've never left a bad review with anything and I've never felt cheated so bad out of money.  There employee entered my house and I describe the problem very clearly and showed him my machine (snake) that I used and told him that he's going to need his biggest unit or attachment or however that works with there Machines. he brought in a small unit and continued to work on it for the remainder of most of the hour.  Then he informed me that he would have to grab his bigger snake so needles to say I was done at that point. I don't know if they train there employees to run the clock out or to not use the necessary equipment right At the beginning just to rack up money but that is not proper business.  Now I'm out $139 with a clogged drain and having the worst business experience ever.  If  there employee would have listen to anything I have said he could've been out of here in 30 minutes and I would've been a happy customer to continue business with them.

I had a clogged drain and Major Drain fixed it fast. They missed my call on a Friday afternoon, but promptly called back within minutes to set up a time on Saturday morning for a plumber to fix my drain. I honestly wasn't expecting such a fast turn around time.

Come Saturday morning, the plumber showed up right on time and fixed everything in a matter of minutes. And it wasn't just a job I should've done myself -- I gave it the old college try but to no avail. Prices were reasonable at a little over $130 an hour.

I'll call Major Drain the next time I need a professional plumber and would recommend them to friends, family, and acquaintances.

Clogged kitchen sink- Tried the plunger thing to no avail. Read YELP reviews for a few minutes.  Decided to try this place I had never heard of.  Called early Wednesday-before 8 on July 5...  Wow, a person answered the phone & said someone with many years (can't recall how many) would come fix main drain between noon and 1:00.  Sure enough- dude shows up
Shawn- got right to work- he showed me & explained I had a rather long way to go to snake- he snaked the drain within the hour and the total bill was 139.00.  I wish it was cheaper- dont have much to compare it to. He was fast, to-the-point and got the job done within a few hours of calling.  You can't do much in the kitchen without your sink, so I sure appreciated it. Great job guys. Thank you.

Roger and his partner were friendly, sincere and knowledgeable. We forgot to remove our hoses for the winter and ended up with a leaking pipe. They arrived, took a look and Roger knew immediately what needed to be done. They did a good job, and were thorough in follow up instructions to dry out area above ceiling drywall.

Tree root filled main line...called Major Drain, Brent came out, on schedule, got the line cleared out, very reasonably priced....no $$ for a service call, just hourly rate!  Quick, reasonable, thorough...what more can you ask for?  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I had a couple leaks throughout a house and they came in and tightened them all up. Prices remain flat since Will's 2016 review where service is still $130/hour, so I think it is a fair price. I needed them in a jiffy and they were the only plumber I called that had same day availability. The plumbers (there were two), were friendly enough and helped me understand where the problems arose. In any case, solid plumber for simple fixes that you need done right away.

Responded quickly to our Saturday morning blocked pipe issue.  John arrived and did a great job, explaining what he was doing and taught me things along the way.  Got the job done, was courteous and cleaned up nice when he was done. Thanks!

Unfortunately, after a great vacation, we came home to a flooded basement. We were hugely relieved to find out they took appointments up until 8pm so we were able to get someone in shortly after we got home. The main sewer line out of our house was blocked and they we're able to clear the obstruction in one hour. They were polite and took the time to put down draping to avoid getting dirt throughout the house.  We would definitely call major drain for large or small plumbing issues
