Way overpriced company.  Great commercials though but you will be paying the bill for them.  Find reputable company that shows you how good they are and doesn't have to tell you how good they are with overpriced advertising.

Extremely disappointed.  I set an appointment for an estimate of a new AC system for last Saturday.  I received an email confirmation of my appointment and a follow up call.  I met Randy, he was a good, professional guy.  He explained the benefits and took many pictures and explained the Goettl Way and that an emailed estimate would be sent.  The reason why I left the poor review was for the complete lack of follow up by Goettl.  Even with my wife contacting Goettl and again requesting an estimate as we were waiting to make a decision and being assured that it would be coming by end of business day.  It did not and we moved on, removing Goettl from our list and not looking to do business with them in the future for AC or plumbing issues.  I have a flashlight though that the gave to me, thanks.

We have a pack rat problem.  They love to chew the wires in our outdoor AC unit.  Goettl has been here three times to replace broken wires and get our AC back running again.  Each time the technician was very knowledgeable and competent.  If you have a pack rat problem, get a Rid-A-Rat blinking light at Ace Hardware.  They don't like the light and will stay away from your HVAC, or car.  The Goettl tech gave us several other ideas on how to keep the rats away from the wires.  Great company, wonderful employees.

I am so disappointed! My husband and I had a Goettl tech out to house to check and service our air conditioning unit. It was working well, but we are selling the home and the buyers requested we have a service.

At that point the tech, indicated that the coil needed cleaning and that the unit needed some refrigerant.  Around 24 hours later,  our AC unit began to ice up and stoped working. We called Goettl the following day and they were unable to even come and look at our non-functioning unit until 6 days later! The temps were reaching well above 100 outside and we were unwilling to wait so long with our children in the house. Per Goettl's contract and clearly stated on their website, there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so we asked for a refund of our nearly $250 service plus the $89 diagnostic. The manager refused the refund, even in part, indicating that it was not Goettl's fault and that we had been informed that there MAY be a leak in the refrigerant which is why it was slightly low. However, there is no leak that would account for all the refrigerant to flow out in approximately 24 hours after it was filled when it had been perfectly fine for the last two years!! The tech made a mistake or caused the leak in the first place and the company is refusing to honor their widely advertised 100% satisfaction guarantee.

My AC went out in August. I  called them because they kept sending me emails about their local friendly service.   I called them through their 24 hour hot  line since it was early morning.  It was obviously an answering service who held calls until later in the day.   Two hours later I was called by another gentleman who again took all the information and a repairman did arrive a few hours later.  He gave me a free flashlight.  He diagnosed the problem and then gave me the bad news...  $800 for parts and labor.     Funny how it was such a round number.  Also,  I had the same problem two years earlier and the bill at that time was about $100. I asked why it would be so much since I knew the cost of the parts.  He said it was for the labor.  I paid for the service call but did receive a slight discount for being a veteran and a senior.  I couldn't afford the $800.  What to do?  I  ordered the parts on-line and studied up on AC repair.  I fixed it myself for less than $80.   It took about 1 1/2 hrs.  I could do it faster now that I am more learned.   So, If these guys want to hire me I  think I can save them some money in labor.  To summarize,  they tried to take advantage of this old retired geezer and will probably do it again.  They work for what the market will bear. Get a second opinion before falling for their  line.  They also need to learn how to spell Conditioning  (see the logo above).

After paying Goettl $1,800 to fix a leaking line and refill of our R22 (freon) in February 2016, we had them come back for a simple inspection 6 months later to make sure everything was still running okay.  They did their exam and said everything looked good.  Then that night, the AC stopped working.  We called them back the next day and they did a diagnostic and determined our compressor was not working.  They said it would be $3,400 to install a new compressor or a potential $10,000 (5 ton, 14 Seer) to install a new condenser and furnace coils that use the latest R40 coolant.  They also attempted to use a Hard Start Kit which would have cost us $500 if it had worked.  We decided to go with the new compressor since it was really hot and we just wanted it to work again.  Then, my wife looked on the Rancho Sahuarita Facebook page for other recommended AC repair services and saw Oscar's Cooling and Heating was highly recommended.  We called him and he said he had a used condenser he could install for $900.  We decided that was our best option.  When Oscar came out he looked at our condenser and before he dismantled our system to install the used condenser, he tried his own Hard Start Kit.  He tried it several times and really showed he cared about what he was doing.  On his 3rd attempt of starting and stopping the power to the system, the original compressor began to work.  We don't have proof that Goettl did anything to our system, but it was working fine before they came out and then stopped after they inspected it.  On top of that, their price for a new system is way too high.  Oscar said the same NEW system would only cost us $3,500 with him.  Also, his install of the Hard Start Kit cost us $120 total, instead of the $500 Goettl said they would have charged us if theirs worked (which it didn't).  We also believe the price of $3,400 for a new condenser was way too high!  Today, we talked to our neighbor who said their friend also used Goettl for a simple inspection and their system also stopped working right after the inspection and they had to spend $8,000 for a new system.  We went from thinking we would need to spend at least $3,400 to fix our system to only spending $120 with Oscar.  We will never let Goettl anywhere near our system again!

I am very disappointed in the service that I received from Goettl today. All I hear on the commercials is how they will check every screw on the unit and leave the unit in tip top condition. I ordered the AC rejuvenation for $129 and after the technician left I went up on the roof to check out the service. I found at least 10 screws that were missing and a romex electrical connection that was left undone. There were mounds of dirt and debris left in the fan section. The technician was here for 45 minutes and basically looked at the motors, checked voltage and sprayed off my coils with some water. Out of the 21 or so inspections that were listed as checked on my invoice I would say only 4 or 5 were performed. The technician never looked or replaced my air filter.  As the technician was leaving I asked for my free flashlight and he was like oh yeah, let me get you one out of the truck. I would not recommend Goettl to anyone I know.

Kevin came out to do a normal inspection of my HVAC system, really friendly guy. Right away he found the furnace blower capacitor was leaking, showed it to me and we tested it together. He was really informative and involved me throughout the inspection process. Glad I could avoid damaging the blower motor. Thanks Goettl!

They were quick to respond and provide great services. I love that if you're apart of their annual service program they will call you for reminders when it's time for the service you're paying for. They also allow you to purchase any suggested maintenance items at a later date without an extra fee for them to come out a second time. This allows extra time to do market research and ensure you're getting a good deal (which seems to be always the case even after my research).

I had a difficult experience with Goettl originally but I called them back and they sent out a tech named Daniel. He fixed the problem, took pictures and explained everything. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and really cared. I would recommend Daniel and the company.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!!  Very friendly professional office staff.!I have never had service personnel try to scam me any harder than these guys. All I asked for when I called was for my system to be inspected and charged(which didn't happen). Instead they wanted to replace two capacitors (only one needed to be changed), for a modest $500. I replaced both of them myself for $42 and 10 minutes of my time.  The techs agreed that my unit core was not leaking and remarkably clean but it did have a 1 inch by 1 inch spot of rust on it. This apparently is catastrophic and MAY cause problems in the future. Goettle felt it it should be replaced for a measly $2000 (please keep in mind there were no problems with it and fully functional). At this point apparently my best option was just to replace the entire 6 year old unit. I was provided several quotes for a complete system with prices everywhere from approx $9500 and up. All I asked for was to have my system inspected and charged.

I feel fortunate that I understand mechanics because these clowns tried everything possible to take me to the cleaners. I feel sad for those that truly have no idea what the Goettle techs are saying because the scam these guys are running should be criminal. I am not an AC Tech and I am not the person that feels they know more than everyone. I am however thankful my father forced my to learn mechanical function. I would only recommend these scammers in the middle of the summer and if you have a catastrophic failure with no other options.

First time experience with this company.  They were very nice over the phone.  They did come the next evening.  Tech was very friendly, and found a bad capacitor which we expected.  I was extremely happy that it was just this and a exposed wire.  I said great fix it.  I know the last one we had replaced was around 40 dollars.  Took him about 15 min, and he came back the bill.  They charged me 417 dollars for the capacitor that costs 9 dollars on amazon.  I was besides myself.  That's a 4000% mark up on a very cheap part.  I was told I would receive a phone call from customer service.  No call nothing 4 days later.  Everyone expects some markup on the part, but that is downright wrong.

Recently had a water heater replaced. The technician did a good job. Later found out that Goettl charged twice the amount of other companies for the same unit and installation.  They are a total rip-off.

Our AC went out so I scheduled an appointment for the following day. Hours past the scheduled window I called them twice and couldn't even get an ETA or a callback from the tech. Completely left my family hanging in 100° weather. I should have read the Yelp reviews before calling.
(Luckily another local company had mercy on me and sent someone out the same day!)

Had a shower leak in wall.  I cut open the wall and found leak was from cpvc pipe going into shower valve.  Decided to go ahead and replace shower valve since wall was cut open.  Called Goettl,  Plumber came out next morning and tells me leak is from shower valve when you can clearly see it is not the shower valve.  Asked how much it would be to put new shower valve in and change cpvc line that was leaking.  Before giving me quote he really pushed on joining membership-blah blah.  Finally told him, just tell me price to replace shower valve.  Told me $1800!  
Told him no and then said he could call his supervisor to see if he could lower price.  Told him should have given lower price to begin with and to forget it.  Would find someone else. Called Plumber of Tucson.  They came out same day and told me $900 to replace shower valve.  Half price of Goettl.
Their slogan should be hard to spell, but easy to steal your money!

Today I had a technician from Goettl come out to my home to have a rejuvenation done on my AC system. I've never used a AC company before for any type of work so I was open to using any company. But I hear all of the commercials on the radio about Goettl and the work they do, so I went with them. First off, I don't give reviews often, nor are they normally good reviews at that, but Brandon, the Goettl technician was and is without a doubt the nicest most professional person I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Not only did he extensively explain everything that he was going to do start to finish, broke down some accessories I could add to my system that would improve its performance, and best of all played with and was nice to my dog. Brandon, I truly can't that I you enough for your professionalism, and your thorough work. My dog also loves you to death and appreciates you petting her and rubbing your tummy. Specifically because of Brandon I will always use Goettl from now on for all of my AC needs.

I called Goetll for A/C service on 5/25/16.
I've been trying to get in touch with the manager Teressa for 2 weeks with no luck. After multiple calls to the company in more than 2 weeks they told me Teressa would for sure call me within 2 hours because they were sending an email to ALL managers. It's been more than a week since that and I have yet to hear from Teressa the manager. I just needed some questions answered regarding warranty and the fee of $2600+ they were charging for a repair.
My advice is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I ended up calling Family Air and they took care of my problem right away for a much much better price.

My tenant in Tucson, AZ was having issues with the ac/furnace.  So the tenant called these guys because she had received an offer via a mailing and scheduled a 26 point inspection.  My tenant then informed me that this company needed to speak with the owner.   As the owner, I found this reassuring.   My suspicion was that the batteries in the digital thermostat were old.  So I called to confirm the service and spoke with Giovanni.  Giovanni was unable to explain the inspection process and guided me to the website.  While trying to find the inspection procedure, I stumbled across a $30 coupon for the assessment.  Giovanni chided me and treated me as if I was making up the concept of the coupon because he could not navigate the company's site efficiently and he couldn't find it. He also was not taking much interest in my knowledge of the system and my suspicions that the batteries were old.  After much discussion I was transferred to Veronica.  She was helpful and ultimately was able to navigate the site and found the coupon that I had found.  She honored it.  I also informed her regarding my suspicious about the batteries.  She said that she would note the account and that the tech would replace the batteries for free.

Fast forward, following morning.  I get a call from the field tech Raphael.  He says that the pressure switch is bad and it must be replaced in order for him to get the system operational in order to perform the service.  I inquired if he had changed the batteries in the thermostat. He chided me and said that that is not what his diagnostic machine is showing.  I requested that he changed the batteries first and he argued that it would not make a difference.  Then he questioned my credentials (Engineering Tech). He proceeded to tell me that it would not make a difference.  He asked me if I had any batteries.  I informed him that the phone rep said that the batteries would be covered free of charge.  He questioned me and called his home office to verify.  He called back and said that the unit was still not working and that the pressure switch needed to be changed, installed at $330 (pressure switches can be purchased for $30).  I asked if he had changed the batteries yet.  He had still not changed the batteries.  He continued to push me about the pressure switch.  he finally changed the batteries... lo and behold the system functioned.  He then said that I still need to get a new pressure switch!  needless to say, he comped me for the field charge ( I will have to verify this later today.)  I am now in conversation with another service provider.
These guys were unprofessional and have horrible customer service.  When questioned on multiple topics, multiple representatives became adversarial and patronizing.  Don't waste your time, shop elsewhere.

Such a good experience with Goettl today, my AC stopped working and I was able to online book an appointment for the next morning which I thought was super convenient. The technician (Marty) was right on time, super friendly, and so helpful. There were many issues with my unit and Marty was not deterred by any of it. He educated me on the parts he was replacing and my AC is now running perfectly. I also felt the prices were reasonable and I wasn't pushed in any way. I can't recommend Goettl enough and if you do book a service, request Marty.

Had a very expensive hydrojet last summer after which Goettl promised a one-year warranty.

8 months later I called and then they say oh no, that was just a 60 day warranty.

I'll start by giving them credit for getting someone out to us within 6 hours on a Sunday morning during the summer in Arizona. I'll also say that (other than the comments below), the tech was sharp and professional.

After that, it was all downhill. They tried to gouge us $600 for a capacitor I was able to find on Amazon for less than $20. Then they lied about the temperature that was coming out of the vents (I have a laser thermometer so I was able to measure it myself). They did this to convince us to pay for a leak test. I don't recommend Goettl.

About a year ago I used Goettl to fix my air conditioner compressor.  The problem was the starter capacitor - which they charged me over $300 for a $100 part.  It would have cost nearly $500 if i had not started the monthly service program with them ($22 / month).  The advantage, they claim is faster response and a reduced rates on replacement of water heater and air conditioner for example.  
This week I had them out to do a service visit.  I requested a quote to replace my 20y.o. water heater  - they quoted $8,000+ for a 75Gal tank and $10K for a on-demand tank.  Holy Sh.....
I called home depot for an estimate - the top end Rheem 75G Gas Water heater was estimated at $2500.  A rough estimate of a on-demand - approximately $4500 (then minus a few $K rebate).
While the service techs were good and courteous, there is no way I will give any reference or referral to any friend to use them.  An enemy maybe......

last fall a Goettl tech came out and replaced my AC motor which was making loud noises. He took pictures of all my systems,  AC,  furnace,  water heater. To get a discount on this service I had to sign up for their yearly service  at $15. A month.  After 6 months I called and asked what exactly I was getting for my money. They said they would come out twice a year and service my system.  I scheduled a service appointment for a spring tune up. The tech came out and told me I needed a new blower motor for my furnace at a cost of $983 and a ceiling saver drip pan for another $290. But, if I had all this done today they wouldn't charge me for the drip pan.

The tech was very pushy, had his finance guy call me and try pushing me to purchase these repairs.  I did some research and found out these guys work on a commission basis and the more money they could get me to pay,  the tech would make more money.

I called a couple other companies and was told this blower motor would cost between $600 - $890 installed.

My neighbor told me about another hvac company that I called.  The tech came out to check my furnace and told me there was nothing wrong with it,  the motor was fine,  and I already had a ceiling saver drip pan.

Goettl was trying to take advantage of an older single woman who they assumed wouldn't know up from down and panic because I wouldn't have AC or heat in Arizona and needed these repairs now.

PLEASE don't hire this company as they are not very honest and will try to sell you services you don't need.
And research any company that you might have to hire for repairs.
Also,  get several bids from other companies before settling on one.

Tried to schedule an appointment for the $79 package, the person on the other line told me their earliest was July.  I need it serviced before the heat of the summer!  My unit is 22 years old, I do not care how good their service claims to be, I am not going to wait till the start of the monsoon to get a simple AC service.  the system is going to go out soon, and believe me, I WILL NOT be buying a system from them...Once again, companies like these show me the importance of having a home warantee...their service may be the best around, but it is worth nothing if my system breaks down before they can service it.

Goettl is fantastic.  I contacted them to sign up for the Sadie's Guard Dog Services. They sent the technician out the next day.  

Sal came out today he was amazing.  He completed a very through inspection of our AC and resolved several small issues that optimized the performance of our aging AC system.  I greatly appreciated Sal's knowledge and professionalism.

Last night I woke up in a pool of sweat and the forecast read 104 degrees here in sunny Arizona. Something was definitely wrong with the air! The first place I called wanted to charge a $199 after hours fee, so I gave Goettl a call because the jingle was ringing in my head, and their call fee was only $79. Yes, radio ads still work! The woman on the phone was very friendly and was able to confirm an appointment for me within minutes. It was a tough wait for 7 hours, but at least I knew it was going to get done!

The gentleman, Sal, was friendly, and got right to work. He came down from my roof with pictures of everything, explained my issues, and gave me the rundown on what my options were. He was honest with the pricing, knowing it wasn't a cheap fix. He started me off with the cheaper option available (which he deemed the highest priority) that was going to have my air running for the day, safely. After an hour or so, the air stopped working again, so I gave Sal a call. Even after sunset Sal made his way back over to my house and re-diagnosed my issue. The fix was going to be around $850 (which was why we tried to avoid it tonight) but he was able to find me a coupon, knocking down the cost a significant amount. I was very thankful.

I have had so many bad experiences with home maintenance companies as of recent, so it was nice to have a semi seamless repair happen.  Goettl upheld their mission, and I was very pleased with my service. I did not sign up for their monthly program, but I would absolutely return to Goettl for my air services. It doesn't look like Goettl is getting much love on Yelp, but I'd like to say that my positive experience could be the same with Sal's professional experience and knowledge.

I also really needed a new flashlight. That was clutch.

I had a major water leak in my kitchen and needed a new water heater.  Goettl sent out the best technicians, Daniel and John.  They worked extremely hard, were very courteous, kept me informed of what was going on, and so much more!  This was the best customer service I have ever received! Daniel even called the next day to make sure that everything was working correctly and that I didn't have any issues.  I can't say enough about Goettl, Daniel, and John.  Thank you for making a stressful situation so much better. I will definitely be a faithful Goettl customer for years to come!!!

Do not trust this company. Was charged $89 for nothing. The tech didn't even touch my machine. Then they tried to charge an astronomical amount of money for minimal level repair. Finally, I was quoted 20k on a water softener that at the most should have been 4-6k. Wonder what the quote would have been if I was a man. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We have been a Sadie club member with Goettl for sometime. During an inspection of our A/C system, our tech suggested we get the Aeroseal Service to seal our HVAC duct work. On 4May2023, we paid Goettl by check for the amount of $5,232 to Service both our A/C units. This service is subcontracted out to a company called Odin. After about a month of attempting to schedule the service with Odin, we decided to cancel. They were unable to give us an actual date. On 12Jun2023, we requested a refund from Goettl for the Aeroseal service. After many calls and emails, we still have not received our refund. We are continually told by Goettl that someone from the billing department will be contacting us, but we we still haven't heard anything. We have since had our plumbing inspection with Goettl and the tech was attempting to sell us a new water softener. I told him that we will not be buying anything else from Goettl until we receive our refund in the amount of $5232. This is not how a company should treat it's loyalty customers.

After our heat would not come on and we did as much troubleshooting as we could, we finally called a couple of HVAC companies on a Saturday morning. They were out at our house within a couple of hours, did an inspection on our furnace and determined the problem was with the programmable thermostat we had installed during the summer. The technician fixed it up in a matter of minutes and we had heat!

This is my first home and first ac purchasing experience. This is a novel so be prepared to read. But read it please. Dont make the same mistake we did. I called to do their rejuvenation. It should be called a resupply our accounts. The come in and get you with this this and this needs to be done. It goes from 85 dollar special to the try and convince you to get the extra services. In our case we needed a new ac anyways because the previous was done terrible. A story for another time. So their guy giving us the quote tells us everything they are going to do and it sounds great. We wanted to do it first week of june as it was the end of may. Their manager called back and insisted it get done before June rolled around as they really wanted the sales to be on May's numbers. We gave in and they said two days of work were gonna happen as we also bought the tankless water heater. Ac removed the first day tankless installed the second day. So the day of the install came. 1 hour after they should have arrived to do the ac we got a call to reschedule to the next da . Two teams would come and get it done they said. So day two. The plumbers arrived first and ac installers arrived late. So by the time they went to do ac the water heater was being installed and installed around the preexisting ac as they couldn't do it how they wanted to. So 9 o'clock at night later they finish installing the ac. Yup. 9 PM. But the preexisting ac was still in the closet and they had to schedule to come back and do it. I asked about the additional work the original quote guy told us would get done. They stated we dont do that. ??? Ok whatever. They had to get called out to redo the water heater set up as my wife wasn't happy with it. All said and done we thought we were where we needed to be. First rain storm of the year happens. Our roof is leaking from where they installed a intake vent. I called them and they came out immediately to fix it. The guy went up and place patching stuff around the site. He came down and said we would be good. Fast forward two weeks later to another bad rain storm. Another leak from the same site. Called and they sent out the same tech. A single tech. He goes up and goes the same thing and says I'm pretty sure I got it. I got anything I could see. I asked if it's because he didnt know if they messed up the I stall. He looked me dead in the eye and said it was installed correctly. With buckets of water around him from the leak. Wtf. I looked up and said what about the water damage that's now around the site. He said use killz on it. So cover up a popcorn ceiling with a paint primer thing. Yea . That will look great. Not. Let alone out of my pocket for something that was rushed to begin with and was not done the right way. I called they customer service rep looking for answers to people that could help me. I was sent to their operations manager who I may have blown up on but when you are paying for 20 thousand dollars of equipment and services done the wrong way tell me you wouldnt. It is now August 1 and I'm currently in talks with their GM. We will see where this goes and I will update later. I hope someone higher than the Tucson branch managers read this and see what we had to go through.
As of now August 7th I am finishing my review. The tucson GM took care of us. The roof is being repaired. His professionalism and attentiveness to his customers changed the horrible time we had into a better experience. It is to be noted that though we did have a bad time initially all the staff, techs, and managers all are incredibly friendly and professional. Despite me blowing up they never once lost the professional friendly attitude. I want to thank the GM for all hes done to help us and make everything right.

Our A/C went and we didn't realize it until after 8 p.m.  We called right then and had an appointment for the next morning, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Jason called 30 minutes prior to arriving to let us know what time he would be there and he was right on time.  Jason and James (a trainee) rang my doorbell and introduced themselves and shook my hand.  I explained what was going on with the A/C and Jason said what he thought the issue was, he went to check on the unit and within 10 minutes was back with information on the part that was needed including the full cost.  He was able to answer our questions about the part and what we were paying.  We agreed to the part and within another 10 minutes I felt cool air flowing in my house again.  Jason and James came back to tell recommend some additional items for our A/C but there was no pressure to purchase them.  Before paying for the service I was shown photos of the old part, the new part and vital parts of my A/C unit, those photos were then sent by email.  I HIGHLY recommend Goettl Air Conditioning.  They are fast, courteous, knowledgable and offered great service!

They are WAY overpriced. We purchased the Sunny Plumber/ Goettl combo inspection (and we thought minor repair) service they checked our systems and gave us a $2000 estimate for tuning the air conditioning unit. The Sunny Plumber tech thankfully made some helpful adjustments, but it was not worth the price. I later called back to get an estimate for getting our ducts cleaned and they wanted to charge $99 just for the inspection, although they had already inspected the unit 6 months earlier.

Goettl had some trouble getting the part we needed for our tankless water heater in a timely fashion, but Charyah Robinson, who was the plumber who both identified the problem in the first place and made the repair when the part came in was both very competent and very pleasant and engaging. My AC stopped working today and it is 110 outside.  I had no idea who to call, so I called Goettl.  James, the technician  showed up quickly and got my unit working very well.  But, it seemed like he was trying to sell me a new unit from the start.  I was agreeable to buy a new unit, but it seems their prices are very high.  I chose the 2 star for a quote and with discounts for Military and Senior, it is still more than $15,000.  I searched units online and the most expensive unit like mine that I can find only cost $5,000. I understand that that price does not include installation. But, I wish I would have came to this site first and read the reviews before I chose to call Goettl.

Goettl tech left me in a lurch, stole my flashlight and creepily invited me to call him in the middle of the night...

A month ago I scheduled routine rooter cleaning for my kitchen. I used the $80 coupon I received in the mail.

When the tech arrived he handed me a stuffed toy dog and a flashlight as a gift. He told me he was scheduled to do a home inspection that cost $129, not the rooter service. Confused, I listened while he hard sold me on signing up for annual memberships...all the while never asking about my problem for which I scheduled the service.

When I told him I just wanted my kitchen drain rootered, he then tried to get me to sign a $27,000 contract to replace all my pipes.

Whats more after the rooter I had a leak in the pipe beneath my sink, and despite being 1pm in the afternoon, he said he was going to charge me more than $500 to fix it (despite saying it would take him less than an hour and a half to do). When I asked what the breakdown of the cost was he told me he was charging me extra because it was not part of his scheduled event.

Of course I said no. I called Plumb Plumbing who arrived two hours later and fixed the leak at 1/3 the cost Goettl.

I was left in a lurch and to boot, as I showed him the door he took the flashlight he had just given me, while telling me to call him in the middle of the night on his cell phone if I needed anything done.

Goettl is not worth the coupon.

The work they did august 2021 did fix the issues we had freon leak out in April 2022 they came out every couple weeks and could fix the issue, they DO NOT GUARANTEE their work. They wouldn't honor the warranty we had to pay 1700 to have a new line ran outside the house. The manager would not call us back we messaged on Yelp and he said he would call never did. My husband called over 5 times he was never available. Just don't use them they won't honor warranty work. They don't show up when they're schedule they will push you back several times until you're not nice anymore about it. They can't schedule their work load appropriately. They do not care.

Called Goettl out to fix my broken heater. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty vent motor.(draft inducer) causing flame rollout quoted me $1033 to fix. It didn't seem right to me as only two burners consistently were exhibiting rollout. Took the unit apart and found a cracked heat exchanger to be the true problem. Thanks Goettl.

Two stars are for the friendly, patient technician who met my father in law at the house. Also my kids love the gimmicky flashlight.

Seems like a good company, but this poor diagnosis could have really put me in a bad spot once I spent the $1000+ to only have to spend more to fix the true problem...

I contacted Goettl to do the rejuvenation on our HVAC before the heat hits this summer, I was convinced to sign up for the guard dog protection which was slightly more than the rejuvenation cost and included the current tune up and one in the fall. The tech came out and while very nice all he did was take pictures of the system and inform us how old it was and that we are lucky it is still running. He went into the cost for a new system and we didn't find out more about the repairs needed on our current system until the manager was trying to pressure us into running our credit for the new system. The tech that came out did nothing for our system and we will not be having them in our house again. It was like we paid them to come in take pictures and tell us we need a new system!

Our a/c went out and we called Goettl. A technician and a trainee came out and they determined that the compressor was not starting due to the hot start and the capacitor. We were charged $761 for these parts to be replaced. We later found that other companies would charge about $250 for these parts.The a/c worked for only an hour after the two were done. We called again and another technician came the following day. He said that the fan motor was not staying on and it would be another charge of over $700 to replace that. From talking with the three technicians about the age of the system and future changes in availability of R22 freon, we declined having the fan motor replaced and asked for quotes on a new system. The sales tactics for Goettl are very similar to those of companies selling time shares. First, we were misled about being able to roll the $761 already spent into the cost of a new unit. Apparently that only applies if you make a decision the night the estimator comes by. They try some high pressure tactics to get you to make a decision before you can call other companies to get competitive bids. The salesperson actually spoke about having a heated conversation with the technician and about ripping him a new one since the technician dropped the ball. Seriously if the technician had the wrong information then the company should apologize and should recognize that they need to further train the technicians about their programs, not discuss in front of a customer how they are going to abuse a technician. Anyway, we refused to be pressured into making a decision that evening and we sought competitive bids. Goettl was outrageously over-priced. We had two other bids from licensed, qualified air conditioning companies and where Goettl wanted almost $12000 the next company was $6400 and the third was $5300. Also, Goettl would have happily sold us on a higher priced system for almost $17000 which the second company would have sold at $8100 and the third explained that while the higher SEER rating did mean that we'd use less electricity, it would take about 15 years to recoup the additional cost through energy savings. You can go on a US Department of Energy website and perform your own calculations for yourself. Goettl will never get any more of my business and I will never recommend them.

Update from review left 7/18/2022.....

Goettl did respond to all of my concerns and the last was resolved on 7/26/2022.  The condenser was repaired.  The duct work was sealed and the ducts were cleaned to stop the dirt and debris from blowing everywhere.  The gas lines were capped properly and the team came out to help with the electrical mapping after the circuit breaker cover was replaced.  

Each person I dealt with was kind and professional.  It took a while, but we finally got there.  Thank you.

Had 3 good techs over Christmas vacation and they took care of all of our needs! On Christmas Eve our first tech, Joe, checked our HVAC as per usual (our regular 6 month HVAC check) and was wonderful. Then he saved us by discovering that our water heater was about to blow. David came, on Christmas Eve, and did a phenomenal job replacing our water heater and addressing old concerns in our system. Then, on the 27th we discovered a leak in our kitchen sink! Charyah spent the morning with us and, though I was gravely concerned that the leak was going to become a MAJOR project he was able to track down the source, address all the pipes that needed replacing and get the repair done for a reasonable price. We have the Goettl service program and could not be happier with the service, our ability to receive fast repairs and mostly the techs! Joe, David, Charyah, you are all wonderful technicians- professional, helpful, talented, and we appreciate your high quality work.

Not reliable at all. Scheduled appointments are missed or constantly rescheduled. Supposed to be on call 24/7 for emergencies but we had to wait 24 hours in the heat of summer for them to come repair our AC after they had serviced it a couple of months before. Canceled contract with them today after another appointment was canceled and they tried to reschedule for 3 weeks later. Avoid them at all costs.

First I would like to explain that we have been customers since 2009, and no all our encounters with the tech's have not been pleasant or in some cases productive, however, I will state that we have always received responses from Mr. Dan Burke, Chairman of Goettl to my complaints.

We just had our second visit this year to check the a/c system and the Tech. Peter was outstanding, he was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient with his time.  This was a pleasant experience because the last two gentlemen who came were not friendly.  It is really sad that some of these men who work for Goettl have little understanding that they are the extension of the company what they say, do and how they present themselves, brands the company as incompetent and uncaring.  So it is very refreshing to have a workmen like Peter erase the bad press that Goettl gets from some of the reviews I have just read.

I've used Goettl twice in the last six months.  The first transaction was a new A/C compressor and the second was a whole new HVAC system.  In September of 2016 I was sold a refurbished unit instead of a new compressor by the Tech.  (Goettl Management says they would never authorize this.) The HVAC system was installed roughly a month ago.  The installers informed me that they didn't have enough freon on the truck to fill the system and they would have to come back to finish charging the system.  Haven't seen or heard from them since.  I had a lengthy conversation with the Tucson area manager Mike several weeks ago regarding the first transaction.  Was told he would speak to the head guy in Phoenix and would get back to me.  Haven't heard anything from anyone at Goettl since.  I'm a single woman who is normally pretty smart and savvy when it comes to making good decisions.  I feel like I was really taken advantaged of by this company.

The guy the y sent out was a salesman disguised as a repairman.
He found the problem and repaired it but at a very high cost compared to average. They way overcharge. The guy tried to sell me a kick watery for my compressor which I needed but at more than twice the price of everyone else. Then he tried to sell me another $3,000.00 in service.
I had another company come and instal the kick start for less than half what they wanted. Don't hire this company they will overcharge and try to sell more over charge services. They can afford to give away cheap crap because they way overcharge.

I wish I could have gave a ZERO rating. I waited a few weeks to give this review and to calm down because I was more than pissed off. I don't know how they can sleep at night. It just goes to show how comfortable they are with ripping people off.
We needed a water heater on a late Friday they installed one the same day. I would have no problem paying for a conveyance fee for same day service but not over 4k for a 40 gallon water heater. I asked 3 separate times for an itemized bill to show what parts and labor were. They said they don't do that. I know why, they don't want you to see how bad you have been ripped off. I would never recommend them to anyone and if they were the last company to do business with, I would take cold showers the rest of my life.

I am very pleased with Goettl- both the plumbing and heating/air conditioning service. Had Dan and Albert out to the house last week for a jet cleaning of a plumbing line.  They did a wonderful job, the slowness is resolved, and I got to see the inside of my plumbing on a video. Cool! They were both friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Today, Bobby came out to check both heating and air-conditioning units on the house. He took a lot of time to do a thorough inspection-almost 2 hours for two units. The news is generally good, although I have some coils to clean. I've used Goettl for several years now and can't recommend them highly enough.

Only putting one star because Yelp won't let me post a review without a star, otherwise there would be none.  On 6/16/15 Goettl showed up and said my A/C needed 895.00 worth of repairs, which after being in 110 degree heat, I let them charge my credit card that amount to get my A/C up and going.  Its now 6/19/15 and I still do not have a working A/C unit.  I called them yesterday on 6/18/15 and said I needed someone out immediately as it was 114 degrees, no one showed or called.  I called this morning again, only an answering service available to take my message.  My next call is to the Attorney General Consumer Complaints Division and to the Better Business Bureau.  Yelp, you should provide negative stars.

They were able to show up early due to other cancellations and this was the furnace maintenance visit of the annual service plan.  We live in a home less than a year old and they found significant problems with birth the AC (on their earlier visit) and the furnace(on this visit)  that we were able to bring to the builder's attention and have them fix it.  They give us a report with photos of the problem areas and everything.

Awesome experience with Goettl. Emailed for a service request in the morning, a/c stopped working night before. Mike from Goettl called within 30 minutes on Labor day and set me up for next day appointment. Not having a/c for over 24 hours was going to be rough but Mike called back an hour later and said he could get someone out to me same day between 1 and 5. Received next call from Mike at 1:15 and was told the tech would be there within 45 minutes. Technician Marty showed up promptly at 2:00 and got right to work (after giving us our free flashlight). Marty was very thorough, gave us a few different options and made sure we knew the process going forward. He gave us time to discuss what we were going to do and came back and went right to work. Marty was very knowledgeable and friendly, even put up with our 3 dogs that were trying to help him fix our a/c. We will definitely have Marty back for continued maintenance and replacement in the future.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Doesn't return phone calls, sets up appointments without ever telling you. Just calls you on the say they set up and tells you they will be there today. Nobody talks to anyone, they had my ac part for over a week and a half and I called them 4 times to set up but nobody called back so I was out of ac for 3 weeks in AZ in the middle of summer. One of their employees took a picture of my daughters room without asking.

Do not call Goettl. Robert Carillo a manager in Tucson is dishonest and won't talk to you. I had three appointments to get my heater serviced( Sadie Guard Dog Service) which I pay for. The HVAC guy never showed. Always an excuse as why they couldn't make it. Didn't matter who I talked to. Calls sent to Phoenix connected to tucson no response. While your on hold you hear Ken Goodrich tell you about you the customer is the most important thing and they will do things the right way. Hah! What a lie. My time is worth something too Mr. Goodrich. You talk a good game but when push comes to shove, screw the customer.  You are all about the money. There's a lot of local plumbing and HVAC companies in tucson. DONT TRUST GOETTL!! DONT TRUST GOETTL!! You have been warned.

Every time I hear the Goettl commercials on the radio, I cringe in disgust. Everything they promise both in their ads and during their initial visit, were lies! The quiet AC we paid extra for is NOT quiet. The promised lower electric bills? Never happened. The absolute worst part is that the technician that installed our unit forgot to clear out or open a runoff valve that ended up causing a leak in our ceiling. After multiple attempts to get them to come out, they did accept responsibility and hired another company to fix the damage. But our house, which we cared for enough to go for this pricier business, is no longer the same. We all know what damage water does to wood. Our guest bedroom doors no longer close like they did. The trim around the doors is cracked and don't meet in the corners. The expensive painter we hired when we moved in did an amazing job but the company that fixed this was way sub-par in quality.

It's obvious that when a company has money, they can afford to inundate a city with ads. And how creative to include passing the torch from father to sun and they give you a dollar-store flashlight! So touching. They must be doing so well that now they have to include recruitment ads for technicians! And with perks like a brand new truck and an iPad there is no more need to try to get techs who want to work for a company that says they have a commitment to a father's legacy!

This is Yelp! right? This is not just my opinion, it's my reality of what happened with this company. Disappointment doesn't begin to describe this review. It's the fact that these ads get played endlessly and try to convince the listener to use them. When they don't deliver what they promised, there is no accountability and the consumer gets

We called Friday night and it's unbelievable that they were able to come the very next morning, so happy. I Absolutely loved that the technician Marty Hendricks showed up with a mask on for our protection and was so knowledgeable and friendly, he went straight to work and got the air conditioner up and running even though it's 21 years old for us while we are waiting on our new unit that he ordered for us that will be installed this coming Wednesday. We woke up at 6am to discover that there was a leak in the ceiling above our kitchen. We called two other local plumbing companies and they were unable to help us until next week. Goettl recognized our distress and placed us on the emergency que. A team was sent to us within two hours. John and David arrived then diagnosed/fixed the problem right away. John went above and beyond by calling in Quick Restore to help us with all the water damage in the ceiling. Will definately call Goettl again when faced with a plumbing problem!

I was recommended by a friend to have them flush our water heater. I was a little concerned being that I had called them last year to set up AC check and they never called me back. Went ahead and called them made an appointment for them to come out before we left on vacation. They called day of and cancelled the appointment after I was assured they would be here before 1pm. I had already signed up for their $15 a month service plan. The lady in the office called me back was really nice and apologized for the inconvenience. She did give me a refund on the monthly service.

I had an appointment scheduled, and they called in the last 15 minutes of the window to say they were too busy to make it. I reschedule for a week later. They called an hour into my appointment to give me a heads up I'd likely be at the end of the window due to a delay. I call an hour after the window ends, and they said the technician was stuck on the previous job, but I was next on the list. I received the same response when I called again two hours later. After six hours of waiting, I decided to cancel. I can see I'm not the first reviewed who got this BS response from them. I can't comment on the service as I've never gotten them to come out to my house, but the people I spoke with on the phone were incredible nice. They weren't pushy when I made it clear I was canceling and not rescheduling my appointment.

Here is my story... I requested a maintenance in January 2022 that was covered under the 1 year plan I purchased. That appt was rescheduled due to the technician not being able to come out. The January appointment was pushed out to March, March came around and the day before I was contacted to reschedule AGAIN due to no available technician. The March appointment was moved to May. The technician showed up in May but would not move or ask for us to move the broken-down cardboard boxes and left without asking or providing the maintenance. Today we called because my AC went out and the house was at 85 degrees, I was told no one can come to run a diagnostic on the unit until Sunday. It is over 100 degrees during the day, I am home all day with 2 small children. I asked for hotel reimbursement and was denied that there was nothing they could do for us. I then asked to speak to a manager, and no one was available and the 24/7 emergency services that are on the radio and website are false. The customer service line is open 24/7 not the services. Come to find out the yearly plan that I paid for is now expired and the maintenance that was scheduled can be rescheduled at full price when I had the original appointment set within the 1-year window. Our unit was put in in June 2019. We will no longer be using these services and I will be contacting the BBB. This is unacceptable and I will be asking for reimbursement.

Can't say much for their actually service, but find it really funny that all of their advertisement makes it sound like they would do anything to help anyone. Their website states they service swamp (evap) coolers. Call to set up appointment just to get told that they aren't currently servicing swamp coolers, due to the start of the summer season and the high volume of work they have for people's A/C units.... Yeah, that's why I'm calling.... getting my swamp cooler cleaned, maintained, and up and running is for the same reason people are calling for their A/C units.... I'm assuming there is just more money in potential A/C repairs than swamp coolers. When I do eventually upgrade to A/C in my home, I know who I will not be calling. Lost one potential customer, and then some, once I tell everyone I know about this.

We do things the right way not the easy way. Every time I hear a commercial from Goettl I cringe. They have great propaganda...I called them to check an air conditioner at a house I own. The technician came. He said it needed a capacitor. He replaced it and it was working fine for around $600.00. He upsold me on the 14.95 a month plan, as I have multiple properties, and scheduled a check of the heater as winter was coming on. The appointment came and the technician came but checked the plumbing instead of the heating. I received a call to inform me about what I thought was the heater report but learned that the heater was not checked. I was incredulous. The associate was pleased to reschedule my appointment for the heater check. The time came but THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I called and cancelled the monthly plan and asked for a refund. I was told my money was to be refunded... I forgot about them until my daughter's bathtub was not draining so I called and asked for the drain to be opened. They were to show up on Tuesday. THEY NEVER SHOWED nor did they call to say they were unable to make their appointment, they JUST DIDN'T SHOW! My daughter waited for them and they JUST DIDN'T SHOW! I called and reported this to reception who rescheduled for the following day. Upon arriving at the appointed time the technician went to work but was unable to open the drain. The only access was through the overflow. After working on the drain for an hour he was unable to clear it. I asked the problem and he said HIS SNAKE WAS TOO LARGE. I was aghast. I did say anything I was just in disbelief. I said that my daughter's bathtub wasn't the only one like that in Tucson and they must have the proper tool to open that drain. He said it was not possible and that the bathtub needed to be taken out as there were no snakes that would fit in an 1 1/8 brass drain. He left and DID NOT EVER PUT THE BATHTUB BACK TOGETHER. I called Goettl wanting to complain to the management. Reception answered and assured me that someone would call and help. THEY NEVER CALLED BACK. How do you like that... THEY NEVER CALLED BACK. I drove down to the office and walked in and complained. The manager called me into his office. We talked. He said he would get someone to help me. NEVER DID.
The next day a local plumber rolled by in his truck. I chased him down. He opened the drain in 5 minutes flat for less money than I was quoted by Goettl. A lot better than ripping out the bathtub!
Weeks later a representative calls from the Phoenix office. He reached out to apologize for my experience which I thought a good thing. He offered to credit my account 100.00 for my trouble. Weeks later I sent him an email. Here is the text of the emails and his reply: Mr. X, I have a house in Vail that has a slow draining bathtub, exactly the same issue as on XXXXXXX. Access is through the overflow. Do you think you could get this one right?
Peter, Thank you for reaching out to me. I can give you a call tomorrow at xxx-xxx-xxxx mid-afternoon and set that up for you.
NEVER CALLED. NEVER CALLED. NEVER CALLED!!! Wow. I've been buying and selling homes for 30 years and in all my experience I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTED A PLUMBING COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY WITH SUCH A DISREGARD FOR PROFESSIONALISM AND EVEN COMMON COURTESY AS GOETTL. NEVER IN MY LIFE!
I don't like writing reviews like this but I owe it to others who are looking for a professional company that gets the job done. A company that is part of the solution and not the problem and Goettl is not that company... in my experience.

The tech was great, responsive and worked quickly in the intense heat. However, for an expensive AC/Heat system that is only just over a year old, there have been a couple major repairs needed.  Luckily it is under warranty, but the inconvenience adds up.  Again, I stress that Goettl is responsive and does send out people as soon as possible to diagnose and/or repair.

i recently had to have some repair work done on my a/c in my house and one of the techs showed up smelling so bad it almost made me gag. it was a b.o. that smelled like b.o. mixed with stale cigarette smoke and old cologne. it was a smell that comes from not taking a bath and changing your cloths every day. it took 2 days for the smell to dissipate out of my house....goettl needs to start enforcing some hygiene rules and tell their people that are going into peoples homes to take a bath and change their cloths every day. they also need to have their techs start wearing uniforms. it looks more professional. surely the other techs working with this guy have to know about this. maybe they don't want say anything. sometimes it is hard to confront someone and tell them they smell. maybe they can take him outside and hose him down with a fire hose every day.

I love Goettl's slogan, WE DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY NOT THE EASY WAY! Goettl might want to consider a slogan change, WE DO THINGS THE HARD WAY NOT THE EASY WAY! Let me explain.
Yesterday afternoon I called Goettl to provide services I want at two locations. Immediately I was scheduled for the following morning. Within minutes of hanging up my phone I got a text from Goettl requiring me to CALL back to confirm the appointment I made just minutes before...THE HARD WAY!
I was told during my first call that Goettl technician would call before heading to my location. I was given a two-hour window and was told that I would have approximately 20 minutes before the technician would arrive at the site. The technician called me when he arrived at the location I was to meet him at...I was 20 minutes away from that location...THE HARD WAY!
At the first the technician explained to me that I would HAVE TO TALK TO HIS MANAGER to get a quote. I explained that I did not want to talk to a manager, all I was requiring from the other quoting plumbing companies was a quote for the work I requested...THE HARD WAY!
After visiting the first site, gathering information we then proceeded to the second site. By the time we arrived at the second site the technician had spoken to his manager who said that I would HAVE TO TALK TO HIS MANAGER to get a quote. He then went on to explain that he was only, the eyes and ears and that his manager was the brains. I then told the technician, I guess we won't be needing your service. At that point he extended his hand and said, Good bye THE HARD WAY!
Goettl puts their service technicians first before their prospects. From this experience I can understand why when the technician can proudly say, he was only the eyes and ears. With all due respect, this young man could have been flipping hamburgers yesterday for all the knowledge he displayed. Anyone who can operate the photo application on an I-Pad could do his job. THE HARD WAY!
I was truly looking forward to using Goettl for my plumbing needs. I am extremely disappointed by Goettl because the do things THE HARD WAY NOT THE EASY WAY!

DO NOT use these guys if you simply need a clogged line cleaned. They charge $79 just to come out. If you have work done, they'll waive that fee. I called them because they advertise $80 to clear a line. Well... that's if your cleanout line is on the ground. Our house's cleanout line is on the roof and they wanted to charge us FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to clear the line. The tech recommended we get our lines hydrojetted. The cost? THIRTY THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!

I know we have had our line unclogged in the past for far less than $500, so I paid the $79 and sent the tech on his way. So, basically, I paid that money just so we could tell us how much they would overcharge us. I will never use them again.

Today HVAC guys Jr and Angel we're here at the Peterson's to do the ducting cleaning/sanitation. Very very good work by both of these polite and professional guys. And Billy returned to install the drain valve . was super amaze.

The worst service I have ever received.  Waited 2 1/2 days for service and then they were over an hour late.  He gave me a quote of $1979.00 to solder up the leak.  Goettl...a real joke!!  The number one mistake was not looking at Yelp before we called Goettl.
Update....Family Air fixed our problem within a few hours and arrived ahead of schedule.  The job cost $1444 less than the estimate from Goettle.

The Serviceman was 2 hours late even calling to tell me when he was arriving. Called because thought the toilet line was clogged and it would be snaked for the advertised price of $80.  He used a 6 foot auger and then told me, a new toilet was needed.  Ripped off!

If I could give less than one star, I would.  I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.  Their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee is a complete joke.  I've had this company doing services and repairs on my AC for two years.  And in that two years, I've had nothing but one problem after the other.  I originally came to this company because of the numerous commercials I've heard guaranteeing quality and service.
So, trying to be a good home owner, I signed a contract with the company to conduct my routine maintenance.  In February of this year, I dropped $2400 dollars into repairs the company said would make my AC more efficient and correct some problems that were caused by the company who had originally installed the unit.  In May, I called them again for yet another problem, just to find out that not all of the repairs they said were done in February were completed.  I had to call again this month (August) and sure enough, the same problems still have not been fixed.  They have been out twice now this month and needless to say, I'm sitting in my 93-degree house with 5 children and a broken AC unit.  Don't bother contacting the manager, Mike, he says he'll call back and never does. And if he does, he doesn't know anything about the customer's issues so he says he'll look into it and call back.  It's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for him to call back.  My AC unit is only 6 years old, and now I'm being told that it would be best to just replace the whole unit.  I'll be making my way up the corporate ladder till this issue is resolved.  We'll have to see how it goes, but as for now, I couldn't be more disappointed!

So far I couldn't be happier with the service and my technician Marty. 4 visits so far and some repairs and troubleshooting have been great--well explained, well reasoned and always at the price I was quoted. The water heater service was also well done. The only reason for the markdown is that the dispatch desk times given and appt mixups need work.  Coming later than scheduled or calling part way through my timeframe to tell me no one is coming after I took time off of work sucks.

Where do I start? The bid and presentation was great. Install crew was hard working and knowledgeable. That's where the good stuff ends. My 70 year old mother and father were finally getting their first A/C unit and survived the Tucson summers with just a swamp cooler. After a illness last summer, we decided that it was their last summer with a cooler. Our est. included vent work and vents included in the price. After they were not installed they told my parents that they had to pay $1500 more for them and that they could apply for a bigger loan to cover it. Thanks to my sister catching this before they paid for it, she called the manger. They sent out a tech and field supervisor to assess the house and install work. Sam was our estimator in the beginning and promised more then he could provide.  One room is hot during the day, this makes the room next to it(the kitchen) also warm, and was suppose to have a vent and duct work installed and as of today no work has been done. A supervisor is coming from Phx. tomorrow to, AGAIN, assess the situation. This is after they had a no call, no show appt. missed approx two weeks ago. My mother took some time off work that day for this appt. and had to call them to find out that they just didn't have time to get there. I'd be willing to improve this rating if everything was made right and promised work was completed ASAP.

I had an initial appointment with Goettl to diagnose what needed to be done to fix my A/C. I was told that I would need freon and that there was a leak somewhere in the A/C. They were strongly suggesting buying an entire new A/C unit however I could not afford to pay thousands of dollars for a unit. I recently had another company come out and they told me right away that there wasn't a leak in my A/C and that I just needed a couple of pounds of freon. Additionally, Goettl was trying to charge me more than double the amount this current company is charging me when there was never a leak to begin with. Overall I feel like they overcharge and are dishonest.

I needed some freon for my mini split so I called Goettl (Id had a leak in my split unit and have since fixed the leak). I was told that they charge a $79 diagnostics and dispatch fee. I advised them of the previous issue with the leak and let them know that since it had been fixed so I didn't need any diagnostics, I just needed R-22 put into the system. The Lady that I was speaking to continued advised me that they don't do any service with out charging that $79 fee plus what ever the cost of the service was. I asked her how much the other portion of the service would be after the $79 and she advised me they don't give out any pricing over the phone. This company must be a scam if you have to pay them $79 just for them to give you another price.

Will charge you $79 for nothing. After the technician told me the entire dishwasher needed to be taken apart, my husband looked at the issue and ended up fixing it. Turns out it was a drain issue and not a dishwasher issue, the exact thing the tech said it wasn't. Waste of money.

We bought a brand new, high end AC from Goettl in March '2018. We spent 15k bc we wanted a strong dependable AC with no problems. Whatever else happens in life, for the next 10 years (according to ceo Ken Goodrich) we have the whole AC thing figured out and handled.

June 2018 the unit went out. Goettl responded right away and fixed it. I think it was a loose cable or something easy and I don't remember them charging us anything.

July 2019 AC goes out again. I paid them to add a capacitor or something like that they said would make the unit run better. Ok fair enough, but I thought that's why I paid a bucket load of money for the AC in the first place.

'2021 no problems, the AC runs like a champ all summer.

July 2022, things have been going great. I figure I'll have them do a little preventative maintenance to protect our investment. They come out and do a rejuvenation clean it up and say everything looks good but I should spend some money and put a surge protector on, so I pay for that.

16 Sept 2022. AC is out again blowing hot air. They come out and tell me that the evaporative cooler has a leak and needs to be replaced and oh yeah that gonna be $6598.00 !!  But don't worry, we'll give you a 50% discount and only charge $3300.00!!

I talked to the manager and I was beyond frustrated, so that conversation didn't go well. The whole reason I paid for the good, big, expensive AC was so that I wouldn't have these types of problems. Turns out that price was for labor bc although I'm still covered for parts under warranty, I'm no longer covered for labor. The manager ended up hanging up on me. I'll own that. Like I said, I was rather upset. I felt like I was being taken advantage of.

To his credit, the service tech called his boss back and got the price knocked all the way down to $1500!  I thought that was awesome and fair and I could live with that. The only problem is that they have to wait for the part.

That was last Sept. I am still waiting. I called on 10 Feb of this year and they said that they expect the part to be here mid March. I'm getting worried. It's about to get hot here in Tucson and if these guys don't pull through, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. For the most part Goettl has done a decent job. I will update to 3 or even 4 stars if they get this fixed. If they don't, I sure won't be able to recommend them. The major frustration has been spending a ton of money to get the good one and the good one has had problems from the start. It's very frustrating to hear ole Ken talking about how AC should last 10 years and how they do things the right way. To be fair they have been pretty good so far, I'm just a little bit worried about how this is going to end.

On 3/16/23 Goettl sent out a technician who was able to patch the leak well enough to keep us cool!  He assured me that they are doing everything they can to get the necessary part to permanently fix the problem. Everyone is still having supply chain issues, so I understand that's not their fault. He also said that if we do run out of freon, they will fill it up as necessary to keep us cool until the part gets here. I am so happy with the way things are progressing and Goettl's customer service. I will update with 5 stars when complete. Thanks Goettl!!

OK so i listen to the radio a lot and decided to take them up on there $129.00 Special.  They cancelled twice and then showed up the third time but arrived 2 hours late.  The Technician spend about 2 hours in my place inspecting my unit.  I have a 3 Ton Split System.  On the Positive side he took apart my air handler and my roof unit.  He recommended that i get a new system for $11,500; when I told him i did not have the money he recommended I replace the capatisor for $599.00.  I was going to give them the job;  but i got an estimate for another AC company for $175.00 for the same issue.  Warning The AC Company I hired said he did a lousy job cleaning the coils.  Any way I will continue to enjoy there commercials on the radio.  But would never hire them.  In there defense they refunded me the $129.00 fee.

They checked my year-old AC system and said it was working fine, this was supposed to include cleaning Rejuvenate but he said they only clean the outside not the inside, the Tech then tried to sell me some kind of Surge Protector for $500.00 even though the one I  had was only a year old and admittedly working fine. When I questioned the need for something not broken, he got creepy in my face and threatening. I can only imagine how that would have intimidated an elderly person or made my wife feel. He was pretty close to being tossed out the door. We ended our business with them imeediatly.

After hearing all the great commercials, I thought let's call. Well I did and 3 hours later a tech showed up to say I had a bad unit and it needs replaced. I asked how much and he had no idea, so I had to set up an appt for the next morning for a quote. The minute the Tim arrived he said between 13 & 20 THOUSAND dollars!!! I choked!! He said we can set you up for $100 a month for 15 YEARS!!! LOL That's $18 Grand. he said the tech last night should have given a rough estimate. Well - He did not and you can go ahead and leave.

These guys are ridiculous!!!!

Anyone reading this should Know that a new system should be approximately $1100.00 per ton give or take a bit.

I've had a few other quotes all in the same day ranging from 5 to 8 thousand!!! So Goettl may be hard to spell but they will take your money as well.

I should have read the reviews before I had them service my AC. The price for them to come out is fair but they charged me 600 to clean my AC....that is outrageous and then told me I needed a new unit, I called around and their quote was around 2000 higher than other places. My advice is to go with another company, the technician was friendly but the company ripped me off.

Was able to schedule an appointment for a system 'health' check quickly and easily.  Very friendly on the phone and they suggested ways to maximize the visit and dollars spent.  Technician was prompt and seemed to be thorough (not that I could really tell, mind you!), and was kind enough to wear protective booties when he came in the house.  After the checkup, he suggested some ways to improve and maintain the system, and we also discussed efficiency and other cost-saving ideas such as updating the window coverings.  Overall, I feel it was money well spent.

The installation guys worked so hard and for sooooo long. I really appreciated them! The only small thing is that we moved my thermostat from its original position which left a hole in one of my walls and placed the new one a bit far on an open wall I want quite expecting... so I'm trying to figure out out how to make it fit in with decor. I dont typically write reviews but after what happened this past week I felt I had to take the time. I originally had another company come out last weekend and they said they added some freon and all seemed cool. After 2-3 days I started having the same issues with the system just blowing out hot air. I called goettl after hearing them on the radio. John from goettl came out and after spending about an hour diagnosing the issue explained it all to me in a way I could understand. He even took some pictures on the roof to show me what was going on. He came back 2 hours later with the part that had to be replaced and was able to fix it the same day. Thanks to goettl for getting my AC working again.

They tried to scam us into paying for repairs they caused.
When I reached the company, Michael told me a manager would reach out to us. They did not. I canceled our service agreement because of their dishonest tech and they want to charge me for canceling. Very dishonest company

We had our air-conditioning go out on 8/31  and contacted our Home Insurance. They assigned a company to come out, but that company could not come out for a couple days.
I set up a service agreement with Goettl in the meantime for 9/7.
The Home Insurance company was able to get out to our house earlier and inspected the air conditioner on 9/2. They ordered the parts and fixed the issue on
9/5. The air conditioner was performing well. Goettl came out on 9/7 to do the service. He told us we needed to do approximately $900.00 worth of work on the air conditioner.  Immediately after he left the air conditioner was no longer working correctly.
We called out the Home Insurance company that did the work. They came the next day. Upon his inspection he noticed our dampeners to the master bedroom had been closed. He also noticed a cut in our duct near the dampener. The Home insurance repair man opened the dampener and immediately the air conditioner was working correctly again (he also fixed the cut in the duct but it will need to be replaced at sometime).
Your service guy sent us an estimate we shared with the repair man. He explained to me that the dampener was closed by a tech and done on purpose. Most likely for us to think the repairs your tech suggested needed to be performed.

They talked us into their $14.95/month service that covers a heating and AC checkup twice/year.  That was our first mistake. Then we used them to fix a leaky pipe  that ended up costing  $620.00 (with a $50 coupon) and over four hours. The inexperienced plumber they sent out cut a hole through our bedroom wall and kept missing the spot. The hole ended up being huge and we had to pay someone else $50.00 to repair it. As he was leaving, it was still leaking and we had to bring him back in. We don't use that spigot often and yesterday when we went to turn it on, the whole housing came loose.

A month ago, we made an appt for the furnace checkup for today.  They never showed up, and after a very annoying wait listening to their manager or owner go on and on in a recorded message, they advised they didnt have a technician and wanted to come tomorrow. No way. I cancelled the service and requested a refund for the cost of having to have someone else do the furnace check.

Overall great experience.  Chris did a great job explaining the process of the rejuvenation we ordered and was very attentive to our needs.  I asked many questions during the service appointment and he was very patient and clear with his explanations.  Fantastic service tech to deal with.  Prices are a bit high, thus a 4/5 star but satisfied overall.

They do not stand behind their work.  My shower drained fine but needed a new pan.  After they installed the new pan the shower no longer drains- they made the floor level so the water stands and stagnates.  They refuse to fix the problem they created.  Now I need a whole new shower floor for about $2000

We had a tech come to our house today to check in our ac told what we already paid would cover this check. NOPE! Tech said they forgot to charge us for almost $300 last time for a fee. On my appointment day I waited the 4 hours for someone to show up. Finally at noon I called to get an ETA. When I called the representative stated they had some emergencies (aka bigger money opportunities) and had to reschedule. No one called to inform us they needed to reschedule.  I had to call to get this information. I find this very unprofessional and rude.  They have no value in other peoples time. This company is unprofessional, inconsiderate and lack customer service.  Find a local respectable maintenance company that values all customers.

The service I received from Goettl A/C was impeccable.  Their receptionist got me scheduled within days after my phone call.  Sal, my technician, was highly knowledgeable, informed me of the evolutions he was performing on my system and provided me advice for future service.  I wouldn't hesitate to call Goettl for all of A/C needs.

We had a hot water heater install along with a water softener install John franks was very professional and knowledgeable about all my questions. He went above and beyond of what his job duties entailed. Had great conversations with him made the day go great. And also the gentlemen who came and gave me the initial estimate were also very professional and knowledgeable I apologize for not remembering there name. The ac technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and got performed the routine maintenance & installed a hard start kit very quickly. I'm only giving 3 stars, because the Turbo hard start kit costs only about $55, but to install it was over $500 (before a $50 coupon I had).

(See follow up at the end- it's the reason I changed to a higher star rating... here's my story) The service was able to happen quicker than other services could come out... and the technician was wonderful. However- their prices are crazy high and I wished I had waited a week for someone else to come out. I paid 1000 (yes, that says one thousand) for a fix (circuit board) that should have cost no more than 600 from all I'm being told. Granted- it comes with a 2 year warranty.... but plenty of coworkers and friends were given the same warranty and none of them paid more than 600.  I did a good sampling because I understand that different brands and types will be different cost wise to fix.... but it's a huge jump from 600 to 1000. I was never emailed a receipt until I called and requested one over a week later. The only emails I received were two different ones asking me to rate them. I didn't answer the first one because I feel that you shouldn't be one to be complaining. I've done reviews here on yelp and try to make sure I give a shout out to the good ones. But when I received the second one- I figure they wanted to know. So I told the truth. Unfortunately I was at work when someone called to discuss it. I'm hoping they call back tomorrow and that this can somehow be resolved.  Update: Cesar (who rocks, by the way) came out and yet another capacitor needed changed. He insured I got a competitive price on it and fixed it today. He also put me in touch with a manager named Jeff who listened to my complaints of up-pricing on the first repair and has agreed to issue me a refund on the difference between the highest I found among friends and coworkers and Facebook on that fix and the price I paid through them. I'm satisfied that they did the right thing.

Called Goettl on Memorial Day for an emergency leak I noticed. They came that day and started right away. After some troubleshooting they found that I had a slab leak. The work started right away and within a day the job was completed with no inconvenience to us. Although it was pricey, you get what you pay for and that's Great Customer Service, Professional Work, and fast service. Thanks go out to Bradon, Billy, and Mark for their hard work to get this fixed. These guys rock! If you're not using Goettl, YOU SHOULD BE!

i hate that the commercial says we do things the  right waynot the easy way?  what have u found?  a company only able to talk through an answering service who know nothing about the business, the appointments or the flow of customers so times and how, in my opinion how unhappy geottl has made us
if they schudule with me between 4-6 and no one has called by 6 pm ( remember a call 30 munites priot to their arrival?)   what have you done to get them to work for you and not against you

I am out of town and my wife called and said there was a loud banging noise coming from our air conditions unit. Kevin from Goettl came out and and was super helpful and very Courteous! It turned out to not actually be anything wrong with our unit, but a gas line that was just hitting against something. He was very honest and fixed the problem and only charged for the call out! Thank you Kevin and Goettl!!!

I have to say I was honestly a little annoyed hearing the Goettl commericals all summer long on the radio, but then our air conditioning broke, and my first thought was, We have to call Goettl! They'll keep you cool, but it's hard to spell!! I put my husband in charge of making that happen. I suggested he call Goettl (I guess pretty persistently, because he asked if I secretly worked for them). But lo and behold, my husband called two other companies and was not pleased with the estimates before he agreed to call Goettl. They came out the next day, and he finally got an estimate and service agreement he was pleased with. (And guess what--they actually give you a flashlight like they say on all those commercials, and a pretty nice one at that!). Sammy was the hero who fixed our AC, and saved us from the summer heat that was happening inside our house. He was an extremely hard worker, and had excellent customer service skills. So while I was a little sick of hearing all those Goettl commercials, I'm sure glad I did, and would recommend them to anyone needing AC work.

I have been very disappointed with goettl. I bought a new a/c from them and have a lots of issue with it. The a/c unit is only little 2 years old and I have alots of issue with it. Last year they must have come over to work on it about twenty times. A New a/c shouldn't have this many problems after a year or two old.

The service from this company has been terrible. The techs have been to my house twice to try and fix my furnace, and they still need another visit to fix it! Well maybe, the second tech told us that the furnace wouldn't work but then told his bosses that it was all fixed! The first tech, Rafael, was very helpful, nice and seemed to know what he was going. But the tech, Chris, we got on the second visit was rude, inconsiderate, and seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. The second tech was also late to our appointment.
We were also quoted for two very different prices on the two visits.
I would not recommend this company if you need quick service.

I feel this story needs to be told because they are all over the radio and now have two companies with which to take your money.

We were having trouble with our AC unit last summer and called Goettl for their $139 rejuvenation. We had to wait almost a month for the appointment and the problem got worse. We called to have a repair instead, but were told the wait was longer than our time until our coming appointment. I have small children and our house exceeded 95 degrees daily. They finally came on their day and he sprayed the outside coils (which we had already done) and told us our system was dirty and no longer functioning. Then he said we would need to have the inside cleaned and purchase a new one which he quoted around $5000.

We didn't have that, we called Rincon (awesome company and fast!) and they came out the next day, cleaned the inside coils, replaced a part and we were back in reasonable temperatures with a fifth of the price. I will never recommend Goettl to anyone. They took our money did nothing and didn't even give us a flashlight for our $139 spent. Lousy company!!!!

I have deleted my previous review of GoettlI which was a three star one only due to a miscommunication.  Upon reading my review, the call center manager called me within 5 minutes to rectify the mistake.  He truly went out of his way to make things right which scores very high with me, hence the new 5-star review.  I won't go into a long story  but will simply say that mistakes happen but that the way they are fixed is, after all, what matters.  Long story short: the manager sent a technician to my house within the hour in order to answer my questions and make a plan to fix what needed to be fixed. All is well.  I am now a very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend Goettl.

Absolutely terrible... They patched my system enough to leave... Less than 2 hrs later the machine was broke again...  I paid for diagnostics and they skimmed the service to try and take as much as possible. They refuse to refund since the tech was able to provide a very short term fix... $715 later...   Still hot and the only answer 10k more

Air conditioning unit stopped working during heat wave (June 26th) in Tucson, AZ. Called Goettl for a service call. Technician arrived in a timely matter and diagnosed the problem within several minutes of arrival. We were told that we had a locked up compressor and that we needed a new AZ/Furnace system. I repeatedly asked if there was anything that could be done to get it working again - technician said NO.

After a phone call with a project manager, we received quotes for different options priced between $19k-27k. After we decided we wanted to get a quote from another company, they went into high pressure sales tactics and over a 45 minute phone call, reduced the price down to $12k. We were pressured into making a decision on the spot for next-day installation in order to get the better price.

In the morning, we had a repairman from another company come over before our install. Upon his arrival, he diagnosed the problem VISUALLY (I can tell you what is wrong with it without even testing anything) based on seeing a swollen (bad) capacitor. He restored the unit to working condition in less than 30 minutes at a cost of less than $200 (with a part he had in his truck). Repair man stated this was a very common issue and should have been diagnosed and fixed.

I believe Goettl DID NOT TRY TO DIAGNOSE OR FIX OUR UNIT at all, and instead tried to take advantage of us during a heat wave. Their predatory, hard-sell tactics pressured us into signing a contract without an opportunity to get a second opinion. The technician did not test anything, and did not try to remedy our problem. They only wanted our money. Their prices are HIGHLY inflated, evidenced by the fact they were able to give us such a drop in price if we signed the contract on the spot.

We cancelled our install without issue shortly before they were scheduled to show up. We did receive a call from the service manager with an apology. They offered us a membership to their service club as a way to say sorry (we declined).

This company almost cost us an unnecessary $19,000+ replacement of a working A/C unit that needed a quick, cheap repair.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Goettl installed a new unit in 2014. Our system has basically failed us. We have had to have a new coil installed several times we have had to pay hundreds of dollars just to keep our coolant level at a cooling level. I say to everyone in Tucson. Stay away from Goettl. Their motto is do the right thing not the easy thing. What a bunch of baloney. They've not lived up to their own motto.  Goettl just told me that even though I had work done under warranty it somehow voided my warranty. How does that make any sense? My system cost over $12,000.00 Now it's crapped out.

I have used yelp for many years (looking up restaurants, redeeming coupons, etc) but I've never written a review.  The service I had with Goettl was so outstanding... I had to write a review about it! I recently purchased a second home in Tucson and purchased 2 Nest thermostats to replace the outdated ones in the house. The box says anyone can install them but of course my husband gave me a dumb look when I asked him to do it. I keep hearing the Goettl commercials on the radio so I thought I would see if they could come help save the day or at least give me my free flashlight. ;)
 
They scheduled a service convenient for me and showed up during the window they promised. They were able to cover up the large hole nicely where my outdated thermostats used to be. The technicians actually discovered that one of the new thermostats had a malfunction (none of which was their fault - it was purchased at Verizon) and they went out of their way to bring back a working nest thermostat to replace the one I bought at Verizon. They even tuned up both my AC units for a great price and replaced all my batteries in my smoke alarms!

The technicians were knowledgeable about my units and were very thorough in explaining everything they did in the tune up. We actually found out one of our units was not working properly and they quickly got it fixed and now we actually have cold air!

I just closed on my home when I decided to do a rejuvenation on my unit because I noticed it wasn't cycling correctly. Although it took them nearly 2 months to get my A/C up and running correctly, they didn't quit until it was. The first technician incorrectly diagnosed the problem that cost me thousands of dollars because he didn't want to go into the attic. The second technician (Adam) did a full assessment and correctly diagnosed the problem. The technician that was sent to do the work Adam suggested questioned it and didn't follow through which lead to Adam having to return once again. Finally, the last technician (I forgot his name but he was so nice and knowledgeable like Adam) and his partner that day were sent to do the work. I appreciate them working so hard to fix a man and his band's jacked up home A/C installation project. Goettl does charge quite a bit more than other A/C companies but I appreciated that they were NEVER on a time schedule. Their next job was never told to them until they completed one job and called in to see if there was another job! Every technician excluding the first, I asked how they liked working for Goettl and everyone of them were very happy employees! Good job Ken Goodrich! I am happy to recommend your company! THANK YOU!!!

The negative and the reason for not a 5 star rating: Their first technician's mistake cost me close to $4000 for a evaporator coil and installation when I was only quoted less than $2000 to redo the duct work, bring in a crane to lift up the unit to place on the stand they built for it, install another air intake in the hall AFTER they realized the issue wasn't the evaporator coil and I had already paid. I'm always wondering if I got jipped $2000.

I just decided to post my review from what I sent to them - horrible experience for myself and family.

Replacing my air conditioner unit with Goettl has been an extremely unpleasant and disheartening experience. I cannot express how much frustration I have had with Goettl. I will never use Goettl again, nor recommend Goettl to anyone who asks me for an air conditioner vendor (repair & replace).

We replaced our air conditioning unit in the 2nd week of this past June. Yesterday, 25 Aug, we finally received the final repairs to our house, due to Goettl's inability to follow through on the completion work.

After the initial install of our air conditioner unit, we experienced leaking from our overhead register, which required service from Goettl. Goettl made no less than 4 trips to our house in order to try to determine the cause of the issue. Aside from being given possibilities, no one from Goettl could seem to identify the issue at hand. The last visit to our house for this issue was this past week, in which the lines were replaced. We do not know if this will be the final answer for the leaks.

In addition, when Goettl relocated our main room register, they did not follow up on the drywall repair/paint, as required and paid for in the service agreement. We made numerous calls over the last two months requesting that this service be completed. Mike, who had initially been at our home during the initial quote for service refused to return our calls, or enlist a Goettl representative who could assist us. We spoke to no less than 6 different Goettl call/receptionists/administrative personnel who took all of our information, informed us we would receive a call back, only to not hear from anyone from Goettl. Instead of timely, prompt service, we instead were given false promises on dates for completion, as well as different individuals to call regarding our issue. on 9 Aug, an individual (company unknown) arrived to complete the drywall repair. Instead of finishing the job, he left, stating he would return in a few days because he did not have the proper materials. We did not hear from this individual again until this past Monday, when he asked when he could return to complete the job. We informed him that we did not require his services, due to the fact that Goettl had not directly employed him as a subcontractor. The individual's response was that he was doing this as a favor to Goettl under the table. My wife and I were appalled that Goettl would employ such individuals in which their proper contractor credentials could not be verified, as well as paying them under the table.

Yesterday, 25 Aug, Tripp Drywall arrived and completed the job. They were professional, timely, and we do not have any issues with them. This visit was after we spoke with Austin earlier in the week, explaining the issues with our drywall. They did state that they did not perform paint of the drywall. Not to worry Goettl, my wife and I will handle this, as we do not want to wait another 2 months for you to schedule someone to handle this.

It is sad that I have had to take this amount of time to write this review, as I spent a lot of money to replace my air conditioner unit. I would have thought excellent customer service would have been included in the price.

For future business, I recommend your management personnel address issues like mine in a timely and professional manner. Not completing a job for over 2 months, in which payment had already been received is a poor business practice.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE A RIP-OFF!!!! This company is all about the money$$ They don't care about you.  I recently joined their monthly program at $14 a month which I thought great... well THEY called me to schedule the maintenance appointment for both the plumbing and my furnace and the only reason I agree is because they were gonna clean my vents.  The furnace tech showed and did nothing but adjust my doors, mind you this guy was just here last month .  He said they weren't suppose to say that they would clean my ducts and it would cost me an additional $600 to do the duct cleaning, let alone the damn plumbing people did not even show up a total waste of my day and cost me missed hours at work!! I called an canceled my program and went with someone else Because every time they come they try to sell me products I don't even need and take advantage because I'm a single woman!!!  And when you don't qualify for financing they NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL OR WORK WITH YOU!!  DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE NOT EVEN WORTH A STAR but had to put one!!

I signed up for their A/C rejuvenation in order to have my unit serviced the right way. Bad mistake. The service tech failed to diagnose and repair a fan wire that was completely disconnected and left untouched sludge in the bottom of the condensation pan. Both of these issues were diagnosed and repaired in a short (and a LOT less expensive!) repair call by another and more competent HVAC company that I called when my A/C did not work. I called a supervisor who made NO gesture to make good any form of warranty. My advice is call someone else and don't throw your money away with Goettl.

Goettl replaced a blown capacitor and fuzes in my AC unit.  Then they told me there was a leak that would cost another $400+ to find. And they asked if I was interested in a payment plan--I said no I'd just like a new AC unit for about $2000 like I had gotten for my other worn out unit the year before.  (I have dual AC units one upstairs, 1 down).  So I asked how much do your systems start at -- like $5,000, incredulous he would start by asking if I wanted a payment plan before even knowing where the leak was!  He said something like that.  Obviously,  I decided to get a quote from someone else and Right the First Time HVAC cames and tested and double checked with their tools inside and outside the house and found there was NOT a leak.  The unit is working just fine.  Goettl is a shyster company--not the good guys they advertise.

Your Zero stars for this company!! Just a continuation in Tucson of ARS and their tactics!! Their Sunny Plumber counterpart convinced me that all had changed and I renewed my service contract. These guys from Goettl come out and service my AC and try to convince me a part needs to be replaced. They want to charge $302 for a job they readilly admitted would take about 45 minutes. (The part was under warranty so this was just for labor!!) I said no way. I called another company to come replace the part at a quote of $85 labor. This company comes out and determines the part does not even need to be replaced. Complaints are happening to BBB and attorney general!! And Goettl owes me the money I had to pay for the other company's service call!! They will not be getting a renewal on that service contract again either. helps others learn about great local businesses.
