We called Friday 6/11/2021 our kitchen sink was backing up in our basement,
They said they could be out that evening at 5:30 which was great as we could not run the dishwasher or use our sink so we were very happy,  We had a heavy rain storm and they called and canceled appointment for that day and moved it to Sunday they would be at our house from 2:00-6:00,  They never showed up, We called and the plumber that was suppose to come out still had a hour to two on the job he was on which would put him at our house at 8:30.  Thw plumber stated the job he was at was  all day job that was schedule that Thursday so he was not sure why they said he could be at our house. He gave me his supervisor phone number I called and of coarse had to leave a message with no return call as of yet 2 hours and forty one minutes later.  This was our first time using MVP  and this is how they treat new customers .  No thank you,  we are canceling our air conditioning check up as well.  We want to work with a company that appreciates there customers and does not waste 4 hours of there day,

So after my 3rd kitchen island light fixture exploded, and after several missed appointments and unreturned phone calls from another electric company that had been recommended to me (Shaw), I finally called MVP and wished I'd just called them from the beginning.

They gave me a ballpark quote on the phone and not only made an appointment the next day, but they actually showed up on time!  The technician was very friendly and quick.  He not only put in my new light fixture, but he fixed the shoddy electrical job that was done during original construction and he put in a new switch and dimmer.  The price for it all was very reasonable.  They will definitely be my first call next time I need an electrician.

Amazing! I called MVP for a non-urgent issue and they sent someone out the next morning. Austin, the technician, was polite, professional and just flat-out knew his stuff. He took the time to figure out what had been done by the previous owners, and came up with a solution that fixed the problem and caused the least amount of damage to the walls. I was very impressed with MVP from the first phone call, and will definitely use them again.

We have had a good experience with MVP . Antonio & Rhonda  we're very easy to work with & responsive . We invested in a whole new HVAC which is one of those investments in which you feel like you are getting screwed bc the mere cost. The installers Charles & Don were professional ( laid tarps down , were not disruptive as they are at your house all day & explained everything ). Guess we'll see how system holds up but so far so good . I would definitely recommend MVP at this time !

I finally broke down after having an AC that was intermittent for the last few weeks. They were able to get me in same day for the inspection. Turned out that my resistor was shot. After installing a new one, the tech found out the compressor was shot. Was very helpful in explaining how he figured it out and what my opinions were. Being the unit in the house was over 15+ years old I opted to replaced the whole system. They were able to get the new one installed the next day!! Wow, talk about service. The two guys they sent over were very professional and did a great job with the removal and install of the new system!! I definitely recommend them if you need HVAC work!!

Can I give zero stars?  I have had an almost laughably bad experience with this company. We had two toilets who weren't flushing properly and a sink dripping.
The plumber came out - Steven - who said he has been a plumber for 8 years.  It took him four hours to replace the flaps on two toilets and he made a hole in the sink pipe and flooded the bathroom   He then left us with a bill of $730 - which when itemized he charged for 3 toilets not two and did not give us the 10% off for joining the Mvp club!
The really crazy part is trying to deal with getting the credit for the 10% and the 214.00 they overcharged us for the 3rd toilet! ( when there were only two).
We had to have another plumber out who charged us $168 to repair the damage Steven did.  He couldn't believe it was a real plumbing company that had caused the damage
The laughable part comes in with the countless and fruitless phone calls I have had concerning the credit due.
I have another message from yet another person who needs me to explain
I have spoken to both Lisa and Ann who promised me the credit would be posted asap and they would call me right back
I am beginning to suspect that these polite, apologetic young women might be sitting in a call center somewhere
I have been very polite and calm in all my conversations but this has gone on for over 2 weeks and I feel forced to post this review.
I can not recommend this company at all  buyer beware

MVP has been great, from beginning to end.  I spoke with multiple companies when collecting estimates, and MVP's pricing was the most up front, out of everyone that I spoke with.  There were no hidden fees, and I never once felt like they were trying to sell me something that I wasn't interested in.  Once they came out to install, as is often the case, not everything went according to plan... but our installer stuck it out and made it work.  He kept me informed the whole time, showing me where the problems were and what was going to need to be done to fix them.  Took a little bit longer than originally anticipated... but anything worth doing, is worth doing right.  
I had no issues signing up for the MVP Service, knowing that I'd have no issues calling them for any future repairs.

I contacted MVP Electric for a tv mount over our fireplace with wiring through the mantle.  It's an older home with a plaster wall over brick for the fireplace.  Scott from MVP came out and gave me a thorough ala carte estimate with a complete breakdown of every service/part for the job.

We did our due diligence and contacted another electrician to get a second quote.  The second electrician came out and the guy told me he wasn't even sure the tv mount was possible and gave me an outlandish estimate giving me the impression that he was intimidated by the job and didn't really think he could do it.

Needles to say, we went with MVP and couldn't have been happier.  Scott came back out, got right to work and knocked the job out in under 3 hours no problem.  He explained everything very thoroughly, was cool, and professional.  The mount/wiring look great and it was done at a reasonable price.

Before he left I had him quote me on some outdoor outlets and a front porch ceiling fan install as MVP will be doing all our electrical/HVAC work in the future.

They installed 9 nest protects and 1 nest thermostat. It took a while, but it was worth it. Jacob arrived on time, did a great job, and didn't leave anything unfinished. He showed my husband how to use the nest app as well. Great service!

We have used them twice and they have taken great care of us both times. We had an Issue with a leaking furnace and AC unit that didn't work and they came out  at 9 pm when every other company sad they wouldn't be out for another two days. They also Installed a NEST for us and it has saved us around 40$ a month on our Electric bill.

I should have known not to use this company when I had to call every day for a week to get the quote.  When the quote guy was explaining the system to me, he said several steps were highly recommended to ensure the safety of my home.   When the workers arrived at my house - they knew nothing of these steps; and ultimately they were not performed.
They installed a mini-split system in my basement.  These systems evidently are not meant for household interior installations.  Their style of installation did not improve the aesthetics.  The system does not heat as advertised: I was told one unit could heat up to 800 square foot, 100 square feet seems to be more than the unit can make comfortable.
If you use this company make sure everything is in the email as they do not offer a contract - so you have no recourse for them not doing the work you were lead to believe they were going to complete.

This is one of the most professional businesses that we have dealt with in a long time.  We were needing a new furnace and air-conditioner as our old furnace had a crack in it.  When they came out to give us an estimate, they were extremely professional and friendly.  They quoted us several different units to choose at various prices but did NOT try to upsell us at all.   We had called another company and they came out but was not nearly as professional and tried to upsell us on everything.  We naturally went with MVP.  Since it was rather cold this week, they lent us two electric heaters to heat our house.  What a wonderful thing for a furnace company to do.  They came out and put in our furnace and air conditioner in one day.  The  employees are very professional and friendly and do their work very diligently.  We will certainly be recommending this company to our friends, neighbors and business associates.
  MVP  gave us a 10 year guarantee warranty for parts AND LABOR !  Most companies try to sell lthis warranty package to you.   They cleaned up after themselves as it was rather muddy outside.  We could not be more pleased with the service, product and professionalism that we had from MVP.  Why can't more businesses operate like this ???

I loved this company. They responded quickly. Had an estimate and work completely in less than one week. ( it was duct work related to the furnace and it's summer, so there was no hurry on my part. ) Antonio came out and met me for the estimate. He is punctual, friendly and polite.  Their office staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. They called me several times, just to make sure I had received everything I needed and to schedule a time.
The meeting for the quote was on Saturday. I called on Tuesday to hire and the work was completed on Wednesday. ( Not an easy job, involving a chimney liner)
Aaron and Charles were the technicians on the job. They were both professional, polite and worked efficiently. Would highly recommend this company!!!!!

I had an electrical panel start melting breakers in my not so old of a home, about 19 years old.  I called MVP because they were rated high on Yelp and they did not disappoint.  The electrician got over right away based on the seriousness of the issue.  We are going to have to put in a whole new panel.  The the ladies that work in the office scheduling are fantastic. There is definite continuity of service.  They remember you, remember your issues, work around your schedule and they actually really care.  They also will email you if that is what you prefer, rather than calling back and forth.  We are having a baby very soon and they moved things around and are getting things taken care of extremely fast, so we do not have to deal with this after having a newborn.  I'm very, very happy with their service.

Very poor experience. Was told that a service call was $75, and that any repair work would be on top of that. When the tech arrived, was told that the $75 covered him arriving to our house (so we owed him that for ringing the doorbell), and that for him to even look at the problem would be an additional $176.

Good. My furnace was acting funny. It was working sometimes and sometimes not. I thought there was a clog or something but what do I know? I called MVP in the morning and they had me on the list for later. I got a call from the service guy and he was at my house well before noon.

Better. He gets there, tells me about the services they offer at MVP and asks about the furnace. He said he'd check it all out and he did. Turns out it was a bad heat sensor/ignition. And my motor was getting on up there too. This guy knew his stuff. He took the time to show me everything and explain how it all works.

Best. Turns out, he diagnosed that my furnace was never installed correctly to begin with. It's a 2 way that can run on low or high output. High when it's like zero outside and low when it's like 40 but you still need heat. Mine was running high all the time. He fixed that for me on the spot just because! He also noticed that my humidifier was ALSO installed incorrectly and has NEVER worked. He couldn't fix that on the spot but gave me an estimate.

The only strike was the price was a little high. Not crazy, but more than I could afford at the time. Considering it was same day fix and it was 8 degrees out, worth it. MVP offers a yearly service at $189 but that gets 15% off any work, free electrical inspection, and free AC and furnace inspection 2 times a year and 24 hour help. Preventative maintenance. That's really the way to go I think.

All in all it was solid experience and I'll call them back for sure.

I needed a tech to do a furnace/heatpump check prior to the cold season coming in. I also asked if they could have an electrician come and give me a quote on adding exhaust fans into two bathrooms. We scheduled an appt for a tech that was HVAC as well as a licensed Electrician, and that tech would give me the fan quote.

Andy D. arrived and did the furnace check-up. During this appt he shared an abnormal amount of personal information about his not-so-recent divorce that was obviously still bothering him. It took him nearly 2 hours for the furnace check-up which was basically just hooking a probe upto a vent coming out of the furnace unit. He stood around a lot talking to me about his ex-wife and texting on his phone. This bothered me since I can't go back to work until he finishes. I gave him a tour of the bathrooms, which was very cursory, he didn't ask any questions, he didn't make any notes. He didn't offer to look in the attic for the work needed to get the vent to the roof. I found this weird.

At the end of the appt he said he'd do some homework for our heatpump to make sure it was configured correctly. He'd draw up a quote for the fan work. He'd have these things to me the next day via email. He never emailed me. After a week, I emailed him asking for the quote. He said there must have been an issue at the office, and he'd do it personally and have it to me the next morning. Its never arrived, three weeks on.

So Andy's willing to show up and do the easy work for the easy check, then skip out on the actual hard work I need. I'll be using someone else, hopefully they will be more professional.

Call them out for a main drain clean. Called and said he was on the way to one of our rental houses. So we went over there and he was 45 minutes late. Then he went to clean the drain and he had a small on it to just poke a hole through the roots. And then he said if we wanted it opened up it was another $250 for the bigger tip! What a rip off! Do not use these people!

Our air conditioner went out and we called MVP to fix it. Their technician came out and said we needed a new capacitor. He replaced the capacitor, changed the Freon, and the charge was over $600. The next day, the air conditioner went out again. The technician came back out, flipped some sort of switch, and the air conditioner came back on. The next day, it went out again. I called the technician back, and he said we have a leak in the coil and it would cost over $1500 to fix it. I know that he never even looked at the coil when he was here. I wasn't about to give them any more money, so I said don't come back out.

I called another company and that guy saw the problem immediately. The MVP guy had put in the wrong size capacitor and it was causing the air conditioner motor to get too hot and shut off. The new guy put in the right size capacitor and it has been working fine ever since.

So I called MVP back and requested that they give me a refund for what they charged me. They had not only failed to fix the problem, but caused a problem that caused me to pay another company to fix it right. After several days their service manager called and said they would give me a full refund. Great.

Days passed and I didn't get the refund. Multiple phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. It has now been about a month and a half and we have yet to get the refund. Since they won't return any of my phone calls nor return email, I assume that their promise to refund my money was a big lie. This company has zero integrity.

Mvp is great!Rhonda is alway responsive with taking care of my heating & cooling. The company users the best technicians. They sent Tyler who came to secure my unit outside. He went above and beyond to make sure it was not leaving my condo. He put a new concrete pad and secured my unit from a probable theft getting ready to happen. The cage I had was loose and almost off and ready for someone to steal. It's now been reinstalled and now working better then ever. My York unit is a high efficiency unit;so not only is super cold it saves money on my utilities. Another reason to keep things safe and sound.

MVP Electric went above and beyond. Called on a Friday that our old heater wasn't working, had someone there that day. Unfortunately it was very old and couldn't be long term fixed. Antonio took the time to explain our options and help make an informed decision. We had a crew there within one day installing a new heater so we wouldn't get cold! They came back to finish out with the AC on  a week day. The office called and checked in several times. They cleaned up and took good care of us! Great employees at a great price. Would recommend!

I highly recommend this company. They installed a new Furnace & A/C, removed the old equipment, provided temporary equipment to keep the house comfortable while awaiting the new and negotiated a reasonable price. Andy came out on short notice to investigate some unusual sounds we had been hearing from our condenser/heat pump system. He explained the typical behavior of these systems and was able to recreate the issue and diagnose it as normal. He also took a quick look at our furnace. He agreed to waved the fee for that visit if we purchased the spring/fall AC and furnace checkup package. This was a worthwhile deal since we needed to have some general maintenance performed on both those systems. Overall, Andy was knowledgeable, professional and nice.

After returning from a trip out of town, my wife and I came home to realize that Kansas City had gotten really hot, and our air conditioner was making a funky noise and blowing out warm air. After reading glowing reviews, I called MVP to schedule an appointment. The woman on the phone was very friendly, very quick, and had us in the queue within a few minutes.

Within two hours, Antonio came to our door and quickly assessed the situation. He explained exactly what was wrong and gave us multiple options, least comprehensive to most. Within a few hours we had a functioning air conditioner, and a plan to optimize our system. We feel that Antonio gave us great options and great service. I would highly recommend MVP to anyone.

Excellent service from start to finish! We called MVP after another electrician from Angie's List canceled twice. I explained our situation to Rick and he was able to schedule an appointment 2 days later. The electrician (Jeff) that came out was beyond courteous and professional. He took his time making the bid so that it was accurate. He was much more thorough than the previous 2 bids we had gotten from Master Electricians. (I feel this allowed him to be much more accurate also because there were no surprise costs in the end.) After meeting two other electricians, who did bid lower but were far less professional, I am glad we ended up with MVP! They saved the day and restored my faith in Angie's List!

Called in to make an appt to get my main drain unblocked. I was told someone will call me back to schedule the appt. Next day still no call. Called in again was told sorry, some one should call you back shortly. Waited a few hours and still no call. I called back again and was told they couldn't get me in until Friday. Instead of wasting a customers time let them know you can't get them in for several days a heads up so, they can call another company that can get you scheduled. Waited 24hrs!

Horrible. Please stay away from these unprofessionals.

I was supposed to have an electrician visit me this morning between 8 - 9 AM. I had called their office about 10 days ago to schedule this time frame. I also received a reminder email from them on previous working day that had a foot note For 30 minute call ahead appointments, the technician may arrive as late as 7 PM. I did not understand what that meant and called their office to confirm the appointment of 8 -9 AM. I was assured that the appt. was still on and the electrician will call me before arriving. Nobody ever showed up until 9:30 and when I called, I was told the same weird wording of call ahead appointment that I never understood in the first place. I was given some non-sensical reasoning of some unplanned personal business that the electrician had encountered. I respect everyones personal matters and have nothing against it, but the office should have informed in some way that he was not going to make it for the appointment.

Apparently at the end of the call it turned out that the appointment on their end was never finalized for 8-9 AM slot, it was like the electrician will stop by your place whenever he has time and will call you 30 mins prior. This was highly unprofessional service from the team that is highly reviewed in all the places. I don't think I want to do any business with them in the future.

We are in a large vacation rental home in Overland Park, and the air conditioning was not functioning this weekend.  Andre, the HVAC technician showed up on a Sunday afternoon and worked until the issues were resolved.  He was personable and proffesional, and the house cooled off as he said it would.  Thanks Andre!

Came home from having ice cream the Sunday night before Memorial Day to find that our AC wasn't working. We usually have our AC/Heater service by Top Notch so naturally they are the first company we called but the tech said he couldn't get out to us until 8am the next day.  Hmmmm, why do we pay for their VIP service plan which includes 24 hour service if they don't treat us like VIP's. Whatever. So I look up on Yelp and find MVP because their reviews are excellent. Because of how hot and muggy it was plus we had friends in town with their two little kids so we needed someone out that evening.  Got a call back from Chris in less than 2 minutes and he said he could be there soon, 8 minutes later he was at our house. He discovered the capacitor had popped and needed replaced which he did and now our AC works great. From the time I called to the time the repair was complete was less than 50 minutes. We are definitely switching our HVAC and electric needs to MVP. Thanks Chris and good luck to you.

You know I got this company to come out based on Yelp reviews but my review as you'll see, was not too good, in fact I thought these folks were a semi rip off.  First they give you a sell job about signing up for their annual furnace/AC checks which I had NO interest in, had an electric problem duh.... so blah blah blah later, finally get this convoluted estimate which basically was the $274,  that the people reviewing previously thought was a great deal, but could end up being even more costly depending on the problem (which ended up being more of a problem than we realized so could have cost a ton more money by MVP)!  Granted the electrician did seem to know his stuff, but also you are charged extra always, for the dispatch fee which is an extra $74.00.  
Went to someone else and was happy.

I was recommended here from a close friend whom has had multiple jobs done for multiple projects. As a landlord I am always willing to save a buck, but they truly took their time to really explain the wiring, ventilation, and air flow issues I was having in multiple properties. After multiple companies, it was obvious they certainly were not the cheapest, but by far the most knowledgeable and concerned... they had multiple options for me to choose from for each property. Options? We don't get those nowadays... the simple fact is, if you want it done right once, with a solid warranty... you may spend a little more, but the piece of mind, combined with an actual 24hr talk to a technician type of service is priceless... I will always recommend them to anyone around my neighborhood, as well as my lake house!

I needed a couple of outlets replaced and wanted someone more qualified than myself to install a smart thermostat.  Glad I picked MVP. I got all 3 done for about $250.   The 2 outlets went smooth, but there were some issues getting the thermostat installed and connecting to my outside ac unit.  The technicians were great, it was just some faulty wiring in my wall which the 3rd technician finally figured out.   Yeah, it took 3 of them.... but not because the first two didn't know what they were doing. I would gladly recommend any of them.

I recently called MVP during the Corona Virus Lockdown, to reach Rhonda. Explained my problem and had a tech at my home within two hours. My problem was based in the attic, which is not finished. The tech responding, got right up in the hot, dusty attic space without complaint and identified my issues within an hour. Parts were ordered and I was phoned two days later, they were ready to finish up. Part of my issue involved rewiring on the vaulted ceiling of my living room. Tech was patient and pleasant, answering my many questions along the way, while maintaining  protective mask and social distancing during the pandemic requirements to keep my home functional.
I was pleased with the level of service I received, from the three employees I encountered.

Our older home is an electrical Pandora's box -- one issue always seems to let loose many more-- but MVP has been spectacular at focusing and helping us have safe, effective electrical repairs for surprisingly affordable costs.  Today technician Kenny Riley came to investigate why some outlets had stopped working -- he found the mystery cause, repaired the issue, and provided a lot of information and useful advice about various electrical matters. We are better prepared now to manage winter cold, heat distribution, and sensible lighting. The cost of the visit was less than we expected and way less than the value he created.

Kenny Riley arrived when he said he would,  was masked and conscientious of personal space while he was here. He was cheerful, courteous, confident and reassuring -- from the time he arrived we had no doubt he would find the issue and fix it. He worked hard to cause the least possible disruption and explained every choice he made. He appeared delighted to help us understand more about our electric circumstances than we knew before-- he's a natural teacher, as well as a very experienced technician. Even though he was longer at our house than he probably had expected to be, we didn't  he was rushing -- just purposeful--and he was cheery to the last wave as he left. He seems to be a person with a servant spirit, eager to help others, and his method for doing that is his electrical expertise. Kenny gets an A+ from us on all aspects of his visit.

If you are in search of a reputable AC/heating/electric & PLUMBING company...call MVP. Do not hesitate. They are so easy to schedule & extremely helpful. I Just wanted to sincerely express my appreciation for the professionalism I received from the MVP drain specialist Zach Rowan.  

He was very knowledgeable & immediately gave me a sense of ease that my greasy, nasty utility sink blockage was soon to be corrected.
My home is very, very old & you have to have a reliable go-to company that will be there regardless of what surprise an old house will throw at you.

MVP is that company for me. And they couldn't come any nicer than Zach. Thank you, thank you

Blocked kitchen drain, Plumber Kenny came the same day,  he was neat and efficient, He explained the process, and was very competent in his work. He left me his card to contact his if there are any further issues with the sink this evening. I am very happy with the service. I will contact this company in the future when needed.

ANYONE who is looking for a plumbing company to unclog a drain. CALL MVP FIRST. Their pricing is no joke & is VERY REASONABLE & SERVICE IS GREAT!

OUR MAIN DRAIN kept flooding over, which was a first. So, after talking with Allison, she set up Tyler B. to come out. (I figured I'd be paying $100 to $200 since that was the range of prices I got. BUT I WAS 100% WRONG!
I asked her to have Tyler B. call me so I could make sure I'd be there. Tyler called me up and just got done on another job and said he could be there in about 20 minutes or come later. I told him I'm home & he got there on time, as promised. He was good & knows his stuff!

He got his small electric router out of his work van, and it got hung up a couple of times. He then ran the big auger, and it went out 100 feet and at about 75 feet, it sounded like a chipper chewing up the wood. He explained it was most likely roots and sure enough, it was! In fact, when it reversed it was disposable wipes and roots just as Tyler said. But, he did not have a camera so, I set up a time for them to come back, to use their camera.
I asked, How much more? Tyler's said ZERO. It's included in their initial price, and it was LESS THAN ANY PRICE OF ANY PLUMBERS I TALKED TO!
I CALLED 8 COMPANIES, BEFORE CALLING MVP. Prices ran from $99 up to $285 & 4 companies said it could be higher depending on what they found.
IF YOU NEED A PLUMBER --- CALL MVP & TELL ALLISON YOU WANT TYLER.
HE'S TOP-NOTCH, HONEST, AND YOU WILL SAVE A LOT OF MONEY!

After reading some outstanding reviews on YELP I decided to call MVP for a service upgrade at a rental property. They were able to get the job done quickly and the prices were very reasonable.

Rhonda was very helpful over the phone scheduling the work and followed up with me during the process to see how everything was going--I felt from this that MVP really values their clients!

Be warned that MVP Electric will try to sell you repairs you have not asked for.  I called MVP Electric to replace a ceiling can light.  Within 15 minutes of being in my house, they presented me with a proposal for $1250 in repairs, PLUS a several hundred dollar service contract on top of that.  I provided survey feedback to MVP per their invitation, and the owner promptly replied to continue to push his agenda.

And their claim, No surprise pricing means this:  they have a book that lists prices for various services.  For example, replacing a ceiling exhaust fan is $498.  You won't know this until they are in your house.

If you like this sort of selling, then do call them.  Their scheduler is very friendly and efficient, and they did arrive as scheduled.

Uh, no. Salesperson showed me a price for replacement unit that was priced nearly $4000 more than other places, but went down only about $1500 less on bid, which was still more than any place else. The other thing is that he tried to convince me that it's not the brand the matters but the actual installers that matter (hardball play). I had done prior research, as should anyone else, and if you do your research you will find some brands have manufactured and defective issues. Additionally, I was forced to decline/accept contract then and there? No way!

Simply amazing. Power was out, baby in the house with parents from out of town and we needed help. Todd came out at 6 am on Sunday, when others wouldn't come out until Monday!  He diagnosed the problem and power was back on in 4 hours. We can't thank you enough.

I was hoping to have a good experience when I called and it all started out pretty good. I called mvp to have them look at my HVAC system to ensure it was running as efficiently as possible and if there was a way to increase its output. I also asked if they could give a quote to clean the vents and was told the dispatcher that the tech would come prepared to give the quote. I was even impressed by the email sent out that shows which tech will be coming out.

Well the tech that they emailed me about was not the one that came so it was a little odd from the start, but I understand things come up. Maybe he was sick. I dont know because I was not told but not the biggest deal.

I showed the tech the system and within ten seconds he was talking about needing to install a $2000 zone system? This was before going upstairs and checking the airflow and checking the return air vents to ensure there is enough return. He was in my house for about 1 minute and was already trying to sell me something. It didn't get better from there.

We went to the upstairs master bedroom and as we walked in recommended adding a $6000 second unit system for just that room! You've been here for 5 minutes and you've already tried to pitch $7000 worth of stuff I don't need?

He wanted to see the AC unit outside and said you need at least a 3 ton unit for a house this size. He checked it and saw that I do have a 3 ton unit so I was relieved that he wasn't going to to try and pitch me a new unit. But then he made a comment about the house facing east to west and because of that his previous estimation of 3 tons would only be good for the downstairs and the two upstairs bedrooms but that the master would benefit from a 1 ton unit on its own! Wow!

He left and I still don't know if there is anything REASONABLE I can do to help my system be more efficient. I asked him about the vent cleaning quote and he said the attic vents can't be cleaned because of flex piping. Ok.... Well what about the other vents I want cleaned?

It just seems like this company is heavy on sales which I can appreciate as I am in sales myself, but come on! I asked for someone to evaluate my system and I do not feel like I got that at all.

Had a problem with our air conditioners not working. Joe and another guy from MVP came out, told us we needed to replace the entire system for two floors---$15000 x 2. We nearly died. They replaced a small electric part on one of them to get it running, also, but left the other one off. Had another guy out. He looked at it for a few minutes and told us that the condenser units just needed their screens hosed off, which he did in 5 minutes. Stupid me, I should have known. They work fine, no replacement needed. He had to replace an electric part on the other unit. Total cost from him: $250.

I felt stupid--I should be cleaning my units. But either the MVP guys were inept or they were trying to trick us into spending serious $. Either way, I'm sure glad I got another opinion.

Then for their bill for the electric part, they charged us for putting freon into the system that they didn't do. I called up their office and got that part removed, but sheesh!

Our ac compacitor went out on Saturday evening.  I scheduled an appointment for Monday with MVP.  I received an email confirming the appointment which said it would call on Monday for the time.  I didn't receive a phone call Monday morning, so I called them in the afternoon.  They apologized and put us on the rush list.  Antonio called us 20 minutes before he came out to our home, later that afternoon.  He was very knowlegeable and friendly.  He fixed our problem quickly that afternoon.  I felt very confident of his service and would definately use MVP again, but I would call them instead of scheduling on their website.

Do not use MVP!  We had a whole house contract with them to service our entire house. We set up an appointment to have them come service our AC units. We have two. They recommended preventative work on both of them ($620) and a complete Freon flush and refill on  one ($1400).  I had someone else come out and take a look at the one that needed Freon. It had not even been cleaned at all. It was filthy. And I had 3 pounds of R22 freon put in by another company and it's working perfectly. When I called to discuss this with MVP they said that we were only under contract for one AC. Not sure why that's the case. We had asked to have the whole house covered and were under the impression it was. Apparently,  they arbitrarily picked one AC to work on and clean. Didn't do anything to the other one. Not only did he not do anything, he didn't mention to me that he wasn't  servicing it. Did not mention how dirty it was and that it needed to be serviced. I have a problem when they tell me they're both not under contract and yet he was checking the Freon levels and making recommendations for the other unit.  If in fact we were truly not under contract for both units, I did not give him permission to touch that unit.  This company was not upfront with me and I refuse to work with someone that I believe is not on the up and up. In addition, they are very expensive. FYI, we had been paying the monthly coverage for about a year.

We got in touch with MVP after we heard a funny noise in our basement and felt the heat in our house quickly start to drop and no longer coming through the vents. We called MVP around 11 am and they had someone out the same day around 4 pm. I was so impressed at how quickly they came out. During the winter, it can be scary the thought of going without heat and we really appreciated the sense of urgency they had and came out so fast.

They were downstairs for about 30 minutes and quickly realized the problem which thankfully was a quick fix. The gentleman who was over was very nice and informative. We are glad it wasn't anything major but their quick response and quick problem solving was great!

We will definitely be using them again in the future!

Our air conditioning decided to die Friday and Glen Hatchel came on Saturday to see if there was anything he could do to get it running. Unfortunately, the unit was shot.  Glen got on the phone and arranged for a sales person to come to our home immediately, and stayed with us until he arrived.
Tom Davis checked all the equipment out to determine what options were available to us. I have to say, Tom went above and beyond! Once we had picked our new unit, Tom worked diligently with the underwriters to get our financing approved, which due to technical difficulties and the underwriters leaving for the night, took overnight to get done!
We have been MVP customers for a good long while now, and I am never disappointed in the customer service care and quality of work they provide.
Thank you Glen and especially Tom, you guys never disappoint!

I used MVP Electric yesterday for the first time and I am very pleased with the outcome.  I had a semi-emergency whereby I needed a very quick estimate.  Not only did they respond right away, they also had set aside time to do the work as well.  The tech, Jacob, was very courtious and professional, and knew immediately what needed to be done.  I recommend MVP for your electrical needs.

The new furnace and air-conditioner MVP installed last summer have both performed well.  All their employees have been very professional and pleasant to work with.  Communication issues have been minimal and more than offset by their congenial and pleasant demeanor.  I would not hesitate to consider them for any future HVAC or electric tasks even though I am sure they are not the least expensive vendor.  Value is not determined by price alone.
