HISTORY

Established in 1905.
The company was established in 1905 as I. Rotskoff Supply Co. by Ike Rotskoff. He came to St. Louis in 1902 to work for the 1904 Worlds Fair. After the Fair, Ike stayed in St. Louis and set up shop at 10th & Franklin Ave., then a bustling commercial area in Downtown St. Louis. The business thrived and Ike's sons Sam and Morris entered the business in the 1920′s. As the business evolved from hardware and stoves to plumbing and heating the names Crescent Supply and later Crescent Plumbing Supply were adopted to more accurately describe the business. Today, Sam's sons Sherman and Al, along with their sons Steve and Joe, operate two facilities in Eastern Missouri with the main office and warehouse at 640 Rosedale Ave., St. Louis and a fully stocked full service branch at 866 Commercial Blvd., Herculaneum, Missouri.

Absolutely the laziest, most unhelpful people I have ever been around! I have rehabbed, sold, and or rented more than 600 homes in the last 17 years, so this is not my first time dealing with this poor excuse for a business. I can not believe that Kohler continues to deal with this outfit. The showroom looks nice, but the service is so embarrassing poor, I can not ever consider stepping foot in there again.

I have had a lovely experience with Crescent Plumbing so far! I met my contractor there to pick out all the fixtures for my bathroom. The woman who helped us was very professional, knowledgeable and timely. She also helped me work with my budget to get the sink fixture I really
Liked from one brand matched up perfectly with shower fixtures that were less expensive, but would all match. We're in the process of placing the order now, so I can't speak to any of the problems people seem to have with returns etc. but my contractor uses Crescent all the time and is pleased with them as well. I would definitely given them a look if you're in the market for fixtures.

Slow, Rude, and Wrong. I needed a replacement for a Kohler kitchen faucet hose and took the damaged part to Crescent. At the parts counter they referred me to a lady at a desk who looked at my part, asked some questions, and ordered what she thought it was and told me they would call me when it came in. After a month of not hearing from them, I called. It sounded like they hadn't even ordered the part yet. They said it would arrive in a week. After a long wait at the parts counter following their call, I was handed something that didn't look like the right part. I took it home compared it and it wasn't the right part. So, back I go to the lady at the desk and, to my surprise, they don't offer refunds on parts ordered from Kohler. We discussed the right part and she said it didn't exist but wanted to sell me other parts to convert the wrong part to fit. I told her that she could keep the part. Later back at home, I went to the Kohler Parts website and the part that I needed was right there on the main page of the website. Not only that, but when I looked at their refund policy which was a full refund with receipt.

Terrible customer service. Not even just mediocre, it is bad and the people that work there are often rude.

The experts treat you like an idiot and dont try to be forthcoming with ideas that can solve your problem. I have been in there a couple times, but every time I go in there the guys at the supply counter are incredibly impatient and rude.

the show room ladies are rude and impatient.

A 25% restocking fee for a stock, non-special ordered item!

This is not a way to please customers!

I've never been charged a restocking fee at Home Depot, Lowes, or any other place I've purchased plumbing pats.

Bought a tankless water heater AO Smith brand. Found that my plumber did not have the expertise to install. Made two attempts to return to store. The return was rejected because heater was not packaged as bought in original box. It was clear that heater was not damaged in any way. Had original box with return and all foam packaging. I was so upset and hurt that I left it on their loading dock with original box and packaging foam. My loss I guess. I wonder if they restocked it? Has this happened to someone else?

Skip the big boxes! These guys know their stuff and will talk you through any questions you have. We purchased a new toilet here and received great service. They are not as cheap as the big boxes, but you pay for selection, expertise, and quality. Since they supply plumbers, they typically have better quality items.

My only gripe on toilets and sinks is that they solely carry Kohler. Kohler is a great brand, but having more to choose from is good.

They have a showroom for fixtures or go to the other door on the right to buy fittings and pipe at the counter.
