The Business Started Back in 2013 While Working at Eli Lilly. But Couldn't get off the Ground because of having to work a full time job. It was always a dream to Work Independently and give customers the best possible service they could find anywhere. It was officially realized on Oct. 23rd 2017 when we registered the business as an entity. With the support of family The Electric Express was born. With Many years working as a service Tech for some of the major players in Indianapolis I knew that my prices and costumer service would be 2nd to none. In a short time we have earned 5 star ratings on most of the majors sites, like Thumbtack, Home Advisor, and Angies list. We hope to continue to serve our customers and grow so that people can know who to turn to for their electrical needs. Our Slogan is "First Class Service at Economy Pricing." It is something that People will feel good about and feel confidant to share with their friends and family.

Jason started this business with the idea of providing the best service that anyone could receive in the Indianapolis area. A 10 year resident of Indiana He moved here from Sacramento, CA. He left his home in California where he was the Head Electrician of 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA to be with the love of his life. 5 Children later he has earned top awards for service and quality of work at his previous employers.
Knowing he could offer better prices at the same high quality of craftsmanship and service he and a few others started The Electric Express.

If you're looking for a professional and quality electrician who gets things done right the first time, you've come to the right place.
I'm in the process of going through a relocation for my company and had to get some projects done quickly in order to get my home ready to sell. One of these projects was the replacement of a bathroom vent fan that had been installed in the home when it was built in 2004. Jason was more than happy to come out on the weekend to help me meet my required relocation inspection timeline. He came on Saturday to assess the issue and take measurements (the original fan and subsequently, the ceiling cutout, were oversized and kind of a strange shape). The next day, he set me up with a brand new fan that fit the existing ceiling cutout space. He had the entire thing installed and functional the first time and in just a couple of hours. I'm so grateful for his professionalism, his willingness to work with my tight timeline, and the fact that he got it right the first time.
I needed my ceiling fans put together and installed in a hurry as I was expecting some guests over.
Jason was super responsive from the initial call to showing up and getting the job done within their estimated time. Their pricing was very reasonable and their work was very professional. Technician cleaned up the area and boxed up all the trash before he left.
I have already talked to them about getting a surge protector for my home.
I am certainly going to call Jason at The Electric Express for all my upcoming electric work.

Had an issue with our outdoor basement lights not working. Melvin came out and had the issue resolved within an hour. Super helpful in explaining how the lighting systems work in the basement. Never knew you could have so many 4-way switches. HA!

Now here's a surprise. In a world where contractors put you on a list for an estimate - or even a callback- at some indefinite future time, Jason from The Electric Express showed up the day I called. He was ready not only to give me an on-the-spot price, he was ready to do the work immediately.
Note to contractors: when you tell a potential customer, "I can do it now," price resistance fades.
Jason displayed qualifying knowledge about what the work (installing a ceiling fan) entailed and told me what might increase the price once he examined my Prohibition-era wiring. He did a quick, clean, trouble-free install, pitched a couple other services he offers and was out the door in about an hour and a half.
For him, a new customer. For me, two words: problem solved.
Another great experience with Jason! My wife and I were in the process of selling our house, and our buyer requested several electrical issues to be taken care of. I reached out on a Friday, and Jason was able to come out on that Monday. First of all, you won't be able to miss his vehicle, as it's a converted ambulance! How cool!
Jason went above and beyond during this service. He installed several GFCI outlets, labeled our electrical panel, replaced a circuit breaker, helped move my washer and dryer for clearance to the panel, and even went out and got a dryer vent for me, which was appreciated. Not only that, but he also helped fix an issue with the anchoring of the power line to my house. For responsiveness, efficiency, and at a reasonable price, I can't recommend Jason and Electric Express enough!
Called the Electric Express on a Saturday thinking I would have to wait till The next week to have my problem looked at. Fortunately for me, Jason came out the next day. He was able to safely disconnect the power to the problem, and determined the next steps. I decided to have him take care few other electrical issues too. Jason explained options clearly and went to work.
He is a professional, a hard worker and goes above and beyond with quality work.
Jason was able to get out to my house the next day and fixed the problem quickly. He was professional, friendly and upfront with the costs after diagnosing the problem.

Jason was very quick to respond to my request and he was very courteous the entire time. From text messages updating me on the ETA to putting on shoe covers upon entering the house, he goes beyond expectations to show you that he respects your time and your home. He was very knowledgeable and spent as much time as needed showing us everything he worked on and explained why certain things were wrong and needed to be corrected. He doesn't just give you one solution to a problem or request - he's great about giving you different options based on how much work you're wanting done in the home and how much you're able to spend. Safety is the number one priority for Jason and his attention to detail is unmatched! It is never easy finding someone you trust to have in your home but this was as good as it gets.

We have used The Electric Express on a few electrical projects as we remodel our home and have been very impressed. Melvin has been our electrician though out the process and he has been great to work with. He is very receptive to our ideas and comes up with innovative solutions to help make our lighting and electrical dreams a reality. We plan on using The Electric Express again in the future. Thanks!
Jason helped us with a handful of electrical issues at a new house. He made excellent suggestions and helped us fix the issues in better ways than we considered. He was communicative, went above and beyond for us, flexible with our schedule, and reasonably priced. We can comfortably say we have a standard electrician now, one we can trust and can call whenever needed. Excellent all around - don't hesitate to call!
Jason installed 3 light fixtures for me. Very nice guy and very professional and knowledgeable! He did a great job and his prices are very affordable. Will definitely use him again for my electrical needs.

We were new to the area, and did a quick search of electricians. The Electric Express came up with a handful of good reviews. Jason came out to help troubleshoot an electrical issue we were having. He responded so fast, and came out the same day. I greatly appreciated it as the problems were in my toddler's room. He explained all he would do before he did it in detail, and his prices were very fair. I would HIGHLY recommend his services. In addition, he is friendly and courteous. Always took his shoes off at the door.
This is the second time we've hired The Electric Express, and it's safe to say they'll have our business for all our electrical needs. We moved into a new house and needed the dryer outlet replaced ASAP, and they were able to make an appointment a couple days later. They also made time to replace a few light fixtures, and removed the old fixtures at no extra cost. When Jason arrived he also pointed out a few safety concerns we hadn't noticed. These guys really go the extra mile, all for a very reasonable price with awesome customer service.
The Electric Express was a very pleasant to work with. They did a great job and I would definitely use them again. I had a chandelier hung up and they did this quickly and promptly. Melvin was awesome. Keep up the good work.
