I would like to recommend Handyman Connection.
They are professional and very competitive company.
I had them out to the house to quote electrical work.
They provided a written quote at no charge.
It was my intention to us them for this work, but
ended up using a company in Fishers
who's quote was the same.
When you need a handyman...

Now that the job has been done by another company, with solid reviews from my renter, at 41% lower cost than Handyman Connection, and can confirm that I'm highly unlikely to use or recommend them in the future.

Response to comment from Craig:
Agree to disagree, I don't think you have an accurate view of the interaction.  Honestly I wouldn't have even posted anything if you hadn't claimed that I "CAN'T" understand your business.  I do understand that things come up, but I never even received an apology.  All I received was a voicemail saying that you weren't coming.  I myself work in a customer-facing tech industry, and our customers would never accept that another customer prevented them from receiving at least the common courtesy of an apology.

Original Review:
I made a Friday appointment 5 days in advance.  Because they wanted an appointment during business hours, I had to move around some things in order to be home on Friday morning.  I received a voicemail on Thursday (the day before my appointment) at 4:15pm saying that they wanted to reschedule.  I missed the call by 1 minute, and immediately called back during their business hours and got a recording.  I left a message saying that "no, I can't move the appointment", but they never responded or showed up on Friday.

When I called on Friday to ask about it, they claimed that "We don't expect you to move stuff around" for the appointment.  I mentioned that I obviously needed to move things around in order to be there during the day on Friday, and he rudely responded "I'm sorry that you CAN'T understand the nature of our business".

Very frustrating, and I certainly won't be calling them again.

Old fashion company that is not up to date with what it means to do business in 2020. They refuse to give you a quote  via email, they insist to see the product in person. I can understand that for repairs but not for new items. I mean, what is the difference between seeing the specs of assembling a piece of furniture via email or in person? None.

I would say 3 stars but "MEH" sums up my opinion.

I hired handyman connection to plumb two bathrooms (waste line and supply etc), a water heater and a kitchen.

What I like:
He was nice and always available/responsive.
He did a good job with the PEX plumbing and the waste line (even though he ripped out everything that was done previously for supposedly being inadequate).
He did a pretty good job of setting my showers aside from spilling concrete outside of where it needed to be.
He ripped out a heavy vent stack I had trouble with.
He hooked up my bathroom fans.
He was able to make space for my water heater and washer dryer all downstairs where I'd wanted (and moved the gas line that the HVAC guys put in the way).

What I didn't like:
When he hooked up my water heater he half-assed the ductwork so when I checked it yesterday it had fallen off... I had to duct tape it together to fix it.
He scratched my brand new door a little bit when he took out the vent stack.
He "set" my toilets without using the wax seals and bolts that were literally sitting on the toilets.... so I used the toilets thinking they were set because.... he set them. They were not. That was a nice, wet, stinky surprise. Not sure what was going through his head that he was helping me by doing that?
He was extremely expensive and very slow, I don't really care about the speed but for an overpriced $3,700 I would think he'd get the job done faster (took about 3 weeks) but whatever... at least it's mostly done now.
I've still yet to receive the receipts for the cost of materials..............

These 4 things are enough to not recommend them. Unless the ONLY thing you need is your waste line and plumbing done in which case I still probably wouldn't recommend them just because they were expensive. But if you've run out of options and have been screwed over by multiple plumbers then yeah go ahead and overpay because at least it'll mostly get done.

I have yet to find a plumber in Indianapolis that has actually been one I would recommend. Not sure one exists.

Had a minor job to be done and it was done in less than 30 minutes. Be sure to find out if you are making an "estimate appointment", or an "estimate and get the work done at the same time appointment." I will use them again in the future, but I will make sure to get an "estimate and work done at the same time appointment."

Handyman Connection really helped me locate the correct group to connect for one of my home repairs.  I was having a great deal of difficultly finding the correct people for the work until I connected handyman connect.  They later were able to complete the crack in the wall home repair.  I am very happy I contacted them before the crack in the wall turned into a significant problem.  They were friendly and offered a lot of advice on what to do to eliminate the problems I was having.

I called because I had an outdoor patio outlet not working, and they had a "free estimate."  This was great because we weren't sure how much money we wanted to sink into it before knowing the problem.  After a lot of confusion with the receptionist on scheduling, a tech came out.  Friendly guy, I talked to him about how the outlet had worked just a few months ago, but was not working now and we had no idea why.  He spent some time at the outlet, at our indoor outlets, at our breaker box, and at other outdoor outlets.  He then said to me "I think it's just a bad outlet."  He then called the office and asked for an estimate for me, and into the phone he said "yeah it looks like just a bad outlet, so I need an estimate on replacement."  Okay, great, I scheduled to have work completed.  That day came, same guy returned, gets going, and then says it's not a bad outlet, but instead must be something else.  I get that because of course you don't know if something is going to work until you do it, sure.  However, then he said that just today he tested the other outdoor outlets, and they are not working except for one, which makes him think it is a break in a wire underground.  Which prompted me to ask if he had tested the outlets at the estimate appt.  He said no.  So I asked what it was that had made him think that it was just a bad outlet at the estimate appt.  He responded "Well I just made sure it could be replaced because you just wanted the outlet replaced."  Wait, what??  I asked him if he remembered coming the first time (only a few days ago) and if he remembered me telling him I had no idea what was wrong, that he spent time checking out whatever, and that HE told me HE thought it was a bad outlet.  He said that he did remember all of that, but that "the original work order just said that you wanted the outlet replaced."  At this point it had been two hours, and I asked him to just close up shop because we were not interested in any further estimate or work.  He said "we have an electrical company that we can refer you to, if you'd like" uhh no thank you.
