Colburn Plumbing

I worked on some property management contracts and Colburn was the preferred plumbers. The business to business type exchanges have always been easy. They just ready with everything. They communicate well with the building and as a company they were knowledgeable of the systems within the building. When some contractors come into the building it's during stressful conditions, leaks, emergencies, etc. not everyone makes things easier, every time Colburn came in it was a relief.

Jason is Da Man! Mary was the service coordinator who gave me a rough estimate over the phone and the breakdown of how they charge for their services. I asked to have the toilet wax seal replaced in my high-rise apartment and opted to fix the showerhead leaks myself (to save money).

Jason showed up on time as scheduled. He was very professional, courteous and knew what he was doing. He even talked me through the repairs so I knew what was going on. Jason took a look at the leaks that I was going to fix myself, and he ended up doing those repairs really fast. Expert kine.

The price was more than fair. I will highly recommend Colburn Plumbing to everyone I know and will go to them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Taylor was professional, prompt and kind in assisting us in obtaining a 2nd opinion. Bruce was honest, efficient, knowledgeable and trustworthy!!! He came out to our home and gave us an honest explanation on what was going on with our septic pipes where another company wanted to charge us aprox $40,000 to do plumbing on a home that was going to be rebuilt within 5 years. Thank-you for being a honest company with integrity and ALOHA.

These guys are great! They were quick to respond and get out to our house. They were professional, clean and honest. I thought I needed more work done, they informed me I didn't need to replace what I thought I needed ($700 diff). Work was done great, quick and very reasonably priced.. we just found our new plumbing company!

Xceeelente services great speedy response my fathers house in Kahaluu needed repair from a backed up drain. Colburn Plumbing show up knew exactly what was needed to be done. (as a owner of a townhouse) He help getting the decision makers for my dads complex to agree on the bigger task at hand. What seem to be a small problem was a bit more then excepted. Colburn Plumbing tracked the problem fixed and replaced old and broken parts.

I did not end up using they're services due to my situation being a bit of an emergency and needing someone asap but I had to just say I appreciate the wonderful customer service I received from Taylor. He answered the phone before hours of operation got me on the schedule with a 2-5 window same day and was so kind. Just wanted to express my thanks. Great customer service is truly priceless! Can't thank these guys enough for coming to my rescue! I moved into my apartment a little over a month ago, but had no toilet installed as the previous contractor had removed it to do my bathroom flooring. Sooo you guessed it! I had to live without a toilet for over a month!

So not the business with those middle of the night potty breaks.. anyway, I at least still had a working shower up until my shower drain decided to get clogged for some reason. For almost a week, I had to live without a full bathroom to use..

The plumbers came earlier in the week to try snake whatever was causing the clog but as I'm back to back with my neighbor, of course the pipe could only be accessible from their unit. But to my unfortunate luck, the tenant had moved out and was off island! It took awhile before the resident manager could get ahold of the previous tenant and find out that a new tenant would be moving in. Unfortunately that still meant no way of accessing the unit until they moved in. Hence waiting a week before the issue got resolved.

Special shout out to Keone for fixing the clog AND installing my toilet. Yayy!!!!

One star removed cause I had to patch up a hole in my wall from them trying to access the pipe they thought they could reach through my wall. I would still go through them again though!

We were referred to them by Handy Andy and really, we're in their debt for it. We've had a lot of problems over the years with contractors; plumbers, construction, Hawaii is a hive of shady businesses.

Today, we had no problems at all.

They arrived early to assess the job, were back here on time with the needed parts and equipment to get our numerous jobs done in two hours less than was estimated -- and the estimate given was five (5!) hours less than another company quoted.

The other company wanted to send 2-3 people, too. Colburn handled it all with one. I guess that's the difference between professionals and amateurs looking to milk people for a quick buck.

The work was solid and cost-effective -- there was no upselling or fishing for additional work that needed doing, either. We got exactly what we wanted and weren't pressured about anything more.

Our estimate from the other company was $1850.00 to 2600.00, where as Colburn handled everything for 721.20.

721.20 compared to 1850.00? In less time, with less people and no hassle? Yeah, I'll take that, thanks.

It's worth noting that the other guys I keep referencing were one of a few other companies we'd got quotes from over the last couple of months; they were the lowest with the 1850.00 estimate.

The work was solid and the gentleman who did the work didn't take offense to my going over it and checking his work. I guess when you know what you're doing, why worry about it, right?

I sound like a gushing school girl here, but after so many years of bad service and professionals being anything but, it was really nice and surprisingly refreshing to have some work done without any hassle involved.

Regular plumber could not be reached in time to fix a broken pipe that was discovered near closing time at my business.. Was referred to Kalani Colburn by my nephew and was very grateful that they contacted me early the next morning.  Their texting apps, maps information and invoicing all done by phone, Kalani is courteous polite and does efficient repairs, the communication with the dispatcher etc. were at the highest level.  Don't be displeased by the initial estimate, local plumbers charge about $150 for the first hour.  Our regular plumber charges only $120 but is not readily available to us when we need him.  The repair to the pipe required sawing off the old part and retrofitting new hardware. The job was completed within an hour, cost was minimal, $218 and the speed and courteousness with which Kalani worked was nothing short of outstanding. I highly recommend Colburn plumbing for your business or personal needs. I will be very happy to refer him to all my clients, family and friends.  It is very rare indeed to find anyone in this service industry that is worth every cent and Kalani Colburn's services fit the bill!

Colburn plumbing came and the 2 local guys were efficient, thorough and expert in their trade. I appreciated that they turned the job around so i coukd return to work asap. Our building is very old and they did a great job, i would recommend them highly

I would recommend them.  Kaleo and Jeremy came to into my unit to fix upstairs drain pipes. Owner upstairs kept interrupting workers which put them behind schedule which is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.  They knew what they were doing, despite interruptions, and found solutions for problems that occurred later during the job.  Very professional and stand by their work.

Colburn Plumbing was recommended through friends of ours when I asked for a consistent, reliable, and reasonable plumber who would actually work on the windward side! I know, it's crazy and ridiculous to have to preface a request with consistent and reliable, but believe it or not, Colburn Plumbing was the seventh company we called! Everyone else charged extra for working on the windward side, or came out to look at the job and never respond with an estimate, or worse yet, never even had the courtesy to respond to my request!

We had a minor communication drop for a week and a half or two where I didn't hear back from Colburn after they  confirmed they were going to start work that week. I emailed and did not hear back from them, so I reached out to a friend's father who is in plumbing just in case Colburn did not come through. Thankfully, Colburn Plumbing's scheduler, Makana, coordinated to have someone come out right after the holiday.

Dave Gauer was the plumber assigned to our plumbing project, and he was amazing! He was professional, on time, patient as he was training a helper, friendly, and knew his trade! By the way, he completed the job in two days, whereas a couple other plumbers felt it would take a week! Dave understood exactly what we wanted and needed for our project, and was able to suggest more efficient alternatives as well. After he had finished, he tested his system and fixed any small leaks that he found. That was proactive so that we did not have to have them come back out for repairs.

I cannot tell you how pleased we are with Colburn Plumbing, and especially with Dave's work! We highly recommend them, especially if you are on Windward side. They are reasonably priced, fast, professional, and most importantly, RELIABLE! We will definitely be using them, and recommending them in the future.

Colburn Plumbing is amazing.  I was stuck with a clogged toilet that was not repaired by the company my rental management sent to fix. We waited weeks for the company to return to unclogged my toilet. I decided to just pay myself and Colburn's answered my yelp message with a phone call. He came out early the next morning and diagnosed the problem. Once he saw what the problem was, he spoke to my rental manager and explained the problem... which relieved me of the cost. Tonight,  I have a clean and flushing toilet for the first time in weeks. I cannot say enough about this company's professionalism, fairness and ethics. Thank you so much for your help. I highly recommend your company for any plumbing needs.

At a time when the first three tries I tried to secure a plumber ended in utter failure, Colburn Plumbing became my savior. The first one I called took my info and said they would call me when they opened to schedule. They called in the morning, only to say that they didn't service my area. The dispatcher knew where I lived, she could have told me then. So I  waited till 8am to call the others, I left messages as they were not answering. Shelbi at Colburn did pick up the phone and said that I could be seen later in the day. To be fair, I gave the other two a chance to return my call. Two hours had lapsed and no return phone calls, so I confirmed my appointment with Shelbi, photos of the leak were sent. The plumber Mike came as expected and he was prepared to fix my leak, which he did fantastically. Hats off to Mike and Shelbi for helping to restore order in our household.

I would recommend anyone I know to Colburn Plumbing for their plumbing needs. They were very pleasant to work with and their employees were very helpful. I gave them a call and let them know what I needed assistance with and they immediately made sure I was serviced properly from beginning to end. It was a delight speaking with Makana and Shelby and Mike did a great job with assisting us and fixing our piping. I am truly happy and grateful for their services and customer service.

Colburn Plumbing has worked on my house for over 5 years: New main shut-off valve, replaced pressure regulator valve, toilets, faucets, outdoor spigots and all the work was perfect, neatly done, quality parts were used, plumbers were very friendly and prices were reasonable. Can't ask for more than that!

My washing machine leaked from Lowe's poor installation, called Jason on Sun. He tried his best to send his crews ASAP on Mon but they're too busy.
He followed up as promised & able to get his crew to come this morning. That's a true professional act.
They came in, did thorough check, explained what went wrong, fixed it & gave detailed report.
Fee is reasonable. Not the cheapest yet their work quality worth the asking price.
I'll make them Preferred Vendor for our building.

I found a leak trickling down my wall and called Colburn Plumbing.  Keone came to the rescue. Not only did he efficiently detect where leak was coming from, (my upstairs toilet) but he skillfully fixed the problem in a timely manner with the right equipment and great attitude. Keone has great communication and just gives off a sincere, good person vibe! I felt comforted and well taken care of by Keone during this time of stress. Am so grateful for meeting Keone!

Best plumbing service I have ever experienced. We have the worst plumbing system. Owner cane out and got to the root of the problem, repaired it and we have not had any problems for over 4 years.

Needed a washer sink installed. Contacted Colburn Plumbing this morning and they came this afternoon. Everything installed in less than an hour. Quick service. Will use this company again. 5 stars it is! Mahalo.

Responsive, courteous and customer service oriented. Kekoa fixed our shower cartridge in the time estimated and was very professional. I called another company that was cheaper but decided to go with Colburn since their responsiveness was top notch. We got burned by a different plumber several months ago so I'm so glad I called Colburn this time!

After communications all week and then a same day reschedule by Colburn, then a no-show by Colburn, this is unreliable in my book.  If Colburn finds it so easy to waste my time, then they probably aren't worth my time or money

This company and ilemployees are so amazing.
We had a major leak at our water main and Board of Water determined it was our issue but not sure where leak was exactly.
I called Colburn in a panic due to large water flow and they were able to get somebody out quickly.
There was great communication while a service person was scheduled and routed out to our house.
James and Josh did the initial work and Kekua finished up after it was determined it was a defective valve. This was no easy task with all the water and soggy lawn.
Shout out to Colburn for quick response, excellent service, and reasonable cost, too.

Shelbi and Keoni did this plumbing company  proud. They each provided great communication and follow up. Shelbi kept her word and manage to work me into Keoni's schedule the next day after contacting the office late afternoon. Keoni provided a courtesy call night before just to touch basis on scope of work and manage to figure things out with mobile pics I sent. Day of job Keoni had the patience to go through and hear me out on all my concerns and gave spot on feedback. He is very upfront, honest, knowledgeable and shows pride in his work. I look forward in working with this company again!

Bruce has been a pleasure to work with so far. The property I manage full time uses him as their main plumbing vendor so when the small property I manage part time needed a plumber in a jiffy I called Colburn Plumbing and Bruce came through.  Hard to find honest, up front and reliable plumbers out there. Do not even know what they were doing, draining water from the upper point (shower head) instead of sink faucet or something lower. Unprofessional and do not have proper tools to solder or crimp the pipe fittings. Do not hire them to waste money and waste time. You'll gain high blood pressure and frustration from this crappy company
