The AC Therapist

My AC was not cooling and I had called the company that originally installed the unit and was mistakenly told the problem was with my Nest thermostat.  I replaced the thermostat with a new Nest but it still didn't cool.  I then tried to troubleshoot over the phone with Nest support but did not get very far.  Then I found Richard, the AC Therapist, through Nest website as the closest Nest Pro to my location.  He answered my text immediately even though it was after 11pm and confirmed an appointment for the next day at which time he correctly diagnosed my AC problem and also reinstalled my old Nest which still works fine.  He could have tried to sell me a whole new system since my system is over 10 years old but he was able to get it up and running again for the cost of a service call. Evidently not all AC contractors understand how Nest works so if you have AC problems with Nest installed you need to call a Nest Pro (i.e. Richard, the AC Therapist).

The first time I turned the air conditioner on this summer it was not cooling I suspected a Freon leak I called AC therapist and they responded quickly and confirmed that I had no Freon in my compressor. They could not find the leak so they added a stop leak material to the system unfortunately they could not guarantee that the stop leak would work all the time they've had good success and I've had some bad results using this product but they left a decision to meet after adding the stop leak material we added the coolant the systems works fine  it's been several days since the service and I've had no further issues will be checking after 30 days to see if it still operating correctly will post another review at the end of that time I recommend them because they're honest and they let you make the decision on what you want to do after you've  Been given all the facts

If I could rate this company's any lower, I would!! Total rip off!!! They quoted me $220 maintenance fee on my 1 year old A/C!! And don't expect the guys who show up at your door to speak English, you only can talk to a guy over the phone who relays how much they are gonna overcharge you!

I want to start off by saying this company or my experience with the company was not pleasant. The HVAC technician was not thorough with checking sources for the problem I was having with the ac unit. He would go in circles trying to explain what the problem was. Finally he told me it was the disconnect switch that was having problems but come to find out all that was needed to be complete was a little fluid that needed to be vacuumed out. The company tried to charge me $1100 in items that needed fixing and a disconnect switch that was 400 dollars in cost. Save yourselves the heartache from this company trying to break your pockets. Richard the owner was not nice and did not reimburse some of the cost at all. Had another tech out here who was straight up with me. Hire an experienced tech is my lesson learned from here on out. None of this information was relayed to me about my coils being frozen or anything? All he said was a cleaning nothing about coils are frozen plus I had another tech out there and he said the coils were fine. Not even frozen or anything. Total scam. Please anyone who thinks this company is saving you they are doing the opposite. Money hungry thieves

Nothing like summer in Florida when the AC goes out! After calling around and even having 1 diagnoses done at $79, I talked with Richard at A/C Therapist. The consult was free. It's a jolly good thing too, because the other diagnoses was way pricey. The fast & efficient technician found it to be an easy fix and I was sitting back cool as a cucumber within an hour.

This company is incredible. I needed my AC tuned up last year. The common is reliable, completed the work in a professional and swift manner. I did sign up for the elite maintenance plan. I rec'd a years supply of special order filters 2/2 to the size of my intake vent. I also had a UV sanitation light installed.
I highly recommend this company.

I had an issue with the AC blower that would not shut off. I also had the wrong thermostat for my setup. They fixed all issues at a great price. I couldn't be happier! Great AC company and very friendly techs. I recommend 100%!

Woke up Monday morning to no air conditioning. Not good. Put in a request for quotes early to get emergency service and selected Richard (the A/C Therapist). He was able to have a tech at my door in 40 minutes. WOW!

The tech diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes or so and was able to fix the problem that morning. The pricing was fair given the amount of work required and the emergency nature of the call.

Could not ask for better service, response time or communication. Richard was so easy to work with. He called before sending the estimate and walked me through exactly what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what was included in the estimate. I was able to approve the estimate online and he and his tech showed me pictures of the work done.

Given that the problem likely originated with my previous maintenance company overlooking a key component of service, the A/C Therapist has earned a new customer!

Be careful of this A/C company, they continual find ways to charge unsuspecting homeowners numerous ways charges and still 1 1/2 years my A/C unit will not work properly! The latest they are claiming that all my froeon had been stolen from my HVAC unit and charged me $770 dollars to refill it with no proof of a theft. My homeoners association is now conducting  a survey of how this ever could have happened. Legal authorities are predicting this was an inside job, waiting to hear!!!

I received quotes from three different companies and am so glad I chose The Therapist. The entire process from the first meeting to the final install was handled very professionally. They stayed in constant communication via text and email and when I called, an actual person answered! I needed a complete system including all new ductwork and when I was told it would be completed in less than a day, I was skeptical. They showed up exactly when they said they would and the crew was incredible. Everyone had a job to do and no one got in anyone's way. It was all finished by 3pm and they cleaned up after themselves so we didn't have to do a thing. These guys are friendly, knowledgeable and very professional, all attributes I look for in a company.

I contacted this company recently to diagnose and fix my AC. The technician arrived within the requested time slot, which I appreciated, and I also liked how they send a text to let you know when the technician is en route. Our AC issue turned out to be minor and was quickly resolved.

The one good thing about Richard morales the owner is he is responsive by email. I had an AC system that's about 5 years old. It was taking longer to cool so most likely drain line right? The company was requested through thumbtack and they were able to come the next day. The tune up costs $69. Now that it's said I requested a tune up on my AC system which should include cleaning a condensate line on a system.

The guy who did the tune up was not Richard morales who is licensed to conduct hvac service. The technician kevin must have been new because it took a while for him to supposedly do the tune up. It also took a while to figure out what was the issue. We got this estimate after the supposed time up.

- Pump down the remaining gas to the condenser.
- Disconnect old and install new TXV/Piston (cost of the part not included in price).
- Solder and check for leaks (if needed)
- System vacuumed.
- Add gas and needed (Cost of gas not included in price)

System repair Lv.2 - Filter dryer replacement
New Filter Dryer for condenser unit:
- Pump down the gas back to the condenser unit (if any is left)
- Replace Dryer Filter.
- Solder and check for leaks.
- Vacuum the system.
- Add gas as necessary (Cost not included in this price)

System repair Lv.2 - Add R410A to system
R410A added to the system

** Adding over 2 pounds of freon, could indicate that the system has a leak. Be aware that this issue needs to be addressed or the gas will leak eventually.

An hour after he left the ac no longer cools. I asked the owner to fix the issue they caused. He said I was trying to trick him into doing the maintenance they claimed. Document document document with this guy.

  I was there on the phone with my technician while he was doing the diagnosis. I have the habit of checking in every call that my guys do and when it gets tricky like this, they call me. The description I just gave you is what I remember from my conversation with Kavin.

    I have been on this field for a few years, and I have created a process to protect us against claims like this. You are not the first client nor the last one I suppose. A bad review is not going to get me to fix the issue that you are trying to trick into . My technician and I are clear in what we did.

So guess what I put some vinegar down the drain line and 30 minutes later cooling back to normal. I don't trust this company.

We hired AC Therapist a second time. Again Richard was very professional, well informed, and so organized. After the shock of learning we had to get an all new system, he helped us through the process informing us and advising us on the best product to fit our budget. Plus they offered us financing! We did a couple other bids and ACT was the most honest. Call Richard at AC Therapist, he will give you peace of mind.

These guys are great. Replaced my 20+ year old ac with a new one with heat pump. Arrived when they said, were fully prepared and got to work. Hub done mid afternoon and all cleaned up. Have called for service and they came out the same day and fixed issue at no charge. Nice techs who are willing to explain what to do.   Highly recommend.
