Hard Service one look at ac. Tech was on time but could not get valve open to check level of refrigerant. Charged 99 dollars for service call and left.
Service one sent second tech next day with control board, told me this should fix it. Then tech stated that the freon was low and added 4 pounds of A410 refrigerant for 115 per pound ok. I asked if it was the board or the low refrigerant and tech said it was both. Then charged me about 300 for the board with a 50-dollar board return. I asked tech if I could keep board and he said it would be 750 dollars.  But only gave me 50 for return. Looked board up on line 179.00 What?  Ok you win.   When I got the bill there was a charge for leak detection 100 and some dollars. Ok, but then the tech said if refrigerant leaks out again you will have to replace the coils in the air handler.  Well, if there is a leak and I paid to locate it should we not fix it now, so I don't have to refill the freon again. What do I know, right.
Called that day to get answers and was told that the owner would get back to me on Monday, never received call back.  Left two massages no return call.
If you like poor customer service, I would, call Service one for you air conditioning service.  I will never use them again.
Tech attitude became very combative when asked about control board and the need to replace it.
Some calls to Service one's office were done by my wife for me because of my work hours.

READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING SERVICE ONE. I have had two terrible interactions with this company. First, I have had the evaporator coil go out twice on one of the units they installed. I was initially told that the repair would be covered under warranty, but later told that the warranty was only 5 years (instead of 10) because I did not complete and submit the warranty paperwork. Meanwhile, I was never given any paperwork when the unit was installed. The next negative interaction was when they came out to one of my rental properties for an annual service. At this visit, they told my tenant that the AC unit was old and needed to be replaced. Meanwhile, the tenant had never complained about this unit and it had been operating perfectly. After this visit, the tenant began complaining about the AC until I ended up having to replace it using another company. Both of these experiences represent terrible business practice and I recommend looking elsewhere.

AC went out, and so I called ServiceOne. They were very responsive, and the technician knew what he was doing. Identified a leak in the compressor. The leak was easy to access. The rating reflects the ridiculous charge for the service. It was a $100 service charge, which isn't unreasonable. $270 for the 15 minutes it took to find the leak. $1000+ to reload the R410A refrigerant. I looked online and the prices on this refrigerant have jumped due to supply chain issues, but should be costing the company about $40-50 per pound. I called another company to see what they would charge me, and they said $89/pound. ServiceOne charged me $118/pound after a 15% member discount (since I used them for semi-annual maintenance). That means the nonmember price is around $135/pound, which is 50% more than the other company I called. Then, I paid another $1000+ for fixing the leak, which took about 1.5 hours to fix. The total bill was $2500 bill for fixing a leak on a 2-year old compressor. They made a great profit off of me. I don't know if it's worth losing the relationship.
