Plumbing Express

Plumbing Express installed a Rheem Hybrid water heater in November, and when a sensor failed the following May, they took total responsibility for the repair under their warranty and the warranty from Rheem.  The overall experience was clean and crisp; very professional.  Wife and I put 4 thumbs up.

I have struggled with finding a plumbing company that is professional and friendly and i can trust. Look no further here's your company!! Plumbing Express is awesome! People are super friendly and understanding and have compassion with what you may be going threw. I highly recommend them!!

Absolutely RIDICULOUS pricing. Fees were 20% of my bill.  They charge $69 just to come to your house. Additionally, this fee is not used towards work being performed. I had two other fees on top of it. One was in error and only corrected when I called to complain. Work seems fine, pricing is a rip off!!!

I wouldn't recommend them, they charge $69 just to come out and give an estimate, when everyone else will do it for free. I never understand why companies still do this...if you want our business just earn it.  

They're pricing and service problems I've seen on reviews is pretty much what I would expect from a company that charges a service fee just to come give you an estimate.  They try and take advantage of the fact that you have $70 invested no matter what you decide.

Lisa, in the office was very understanding and helpful. Grant, the plumber arrived quickly.  He was an excellent trouble shooter and got to the bottom of the problem right away.  I will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs.

Had my water heater start to die, I called them up and had Jason come out and give me an estimate for a new water heater as well as move it from a closet into the shed just off the lanai.  I also had him give me an estimate to upgrade both shower dual handle fixtures to a single Moen mixing valves with upgraded handle and shower heads.  2 men came out and did an awesome job upgrading both showers as well as move and install a new hot water heater.  I am very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them highly !

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Unprofessional, inexperienced employees get paid on commission based on the amount they can bill. Inventive Billing after the initial estimate.
They make it up as they work.
Do yourself a favor, call someone else! My next report is to BBB and
Teco as complaints to them receive no response. Disgraceful work, companies like this give the rest a bad name.

I contacted this business several weeks ago for a plumbing project and they never even bothered to call me back.  Must be nice to be so busy.

Plumbing Express keeps you informed.  TJ notified me he was on his way and once he arrived, he got right to work.  I found him to be knowledgable, proficient and professional in assessing the necessary repair, ordering the part and coordinating the repair in a timely manner.  I was disappointed in our regular plumber, Daniel's Plumbing who couldn't assist us until late in the evening and Cool Today Plumbing who had indicated they would, only to call later in the afternoon bumping the arrival time to be as late as 11p, but as a result, I found Plumbing Express who will be our new go to for our plumbing needs.  Thank you TJ and Plumbing Express.

They do up front pricing. We had a sink emergency.  The employee that came over explained everything really wee.  He was professional and really seemed to care about our problem.  I think I'll only use this company from this day forwarded.

I Called Plumbing Express for an outside plumbing leak which happened to be the whole house shut-off valve.

When I called, I spoke to a very professional receptionist who set up a time when they would arrive and explained the very reasonable dispatch fee, I might add.

The next day I got a text about who would show up and a picture of the person. Plus, I got a summary of his education in plumbing. I always like to know who's coming so I'm aware and secure.

The plumber who came was Flavio Speedy Chavez. He's very professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He looked at the situation, explained what needed to be done, and gave me the total price for the repair.

I gave the okay to start the job. I stayed with him to watch for my own edification. Don't let the nickname Speedy fool you. He took the time needed to complete the job. Watching him start to finish was pleasurable, and in the end, he did a FANTASTIC repair.

As for me, My nickname is Da Hammer, and I know when I see a plumber (mechanic) doing a fantastic job. I was in Corporate Real Estate as a Watch Engineer/Helper for over ten years for a major telco company up north. Flavio, in my eyes, is an A++ plumber. Plumbing Express is an A++ company.

I called Plumbing Express to assist me with running natural gas lines for my new pool/spa. My plumber Alex did an amazing job along with Anthony.
When TECO came to increase the pressure, he commented on the fantastic workmanship Alex and his partner Anthony demonstrated with this service. Additionally, they showed up on time and were extremely professional.
Martha and Sheri who work in the office were excellent with keeping this multi day service on schedule which included the county inspections. Another positive experience with this company.

Plumbing Express had come to me highly recommended, however my experience was a huge disappointment.  The service was terrible and the price was very expensive.  I don't know why it has gotten so difficult to get quality work at a reasonable price.

I needed a new gas hot water heater and heard about TECO's $9.99 a month payment plan. Plumbing Express was one of the four Gas Advantage Dealers listed for the Sarasota area (see more info on TECO website). After reviewing all four, Plumbing Express seemed to have the best reviews. My neighbor, who told me about the program, had his installed by Plumbing Express and was very pleased with the work. I called and spoke with Mike in the office and scheduled my installation within a few days. I was told that I would be the first appointment of the day and to expect the installer between 8:30 - 9 AM. Michael, the plumber, was there at 8:25 AM. He explained everything and efficiently proceeded to work. The old water heater was removed and the area cleaned up after the job was done. Micheal answered all my questions and offered many helpful tips on maintenance. I was so pleased I had my non-functioning plastic indoor water shut off valve changed to a metal one at a very reasonable cost. Plumbing Express exceeded my expectations.

I had such a positive experience with Plumbing Express. I don't always leave reviews but they deserve it! From great communication to timely service and at a great value, I will definitely use this company again! They installed two new toilets and a water heater for my home last week and I am so pleased. Thank you Alex and Anthony for your awesome work!! I highly recommend Plumbing Express!

I would like to thank your crew Scott and his helper Chris for the work they performed installing our new tankless water heater.  They were extremely courteous and professional during the 6 hours they worked here.  Scott especially was very knowledgeable  and helpful in recommending the right unit for our household and we really appreciated his input.
I would definitely use your services again and recommend your company to anyone looking for a reference.

These guys really came through and stand behind their work even though the product mfg isn't so much. It took a while but for good reason

we Had no hot water and I noticed the red light on our tankless water heater was blinking red. I called Plumbing Express who had installed it 6 years ago and they came out within 3 hours. They  talked to the manufacturer and told me it needed  two parts and to call when the parts arrived. Plumbing Express charged me $. 223.00  for the visit and diagnosis And then said it would cost $1398.00 to put the parts in to fix it.   They came out the next week to put the parts in but it still didn 't work. They called the manufacturer and had two more parts sent.Before these arrived Plumbing Express called and said I had to pay $1398.00  before they would come out and half of $700.00  for their next  visit to come back and put the other new parts in. Now I am out $1621.00 with no hot water for 10 days and no assurance that  another $700.00 would fix it.     They did not care that we are in our eighties and no hot water for almost two weeks. I finally had to buy a new water heater and had it installed by another company who charged less than Pumbing Express. They are too expensive.  I do not recommend using them.

The service provider was A+ from start to finish. Expect a call from Lisa, excellent customer service. She then took the work order and determined it was an emergency call. We had service in the office within a couple of hours. I would recommend this provider to anyone that values communication and trust. We will be using  them again. - Brandon, CARE

If yelp had 10 stars that's what my review would show. I found this company to be very honest/ great customer service/ and a great staff. Plumbing Express keep up the great job and thanks again for all your help.

This company runs a bait and switch scheme and they charge over 700% more than their competitors.  They refuse to give a price for services prior to them coming to your home.  They will inform you that they charge $70 for a service fee, which seems reasonable, but it's not.  They sent a technician to our home to hook up a gas dryer and a gas grill.  The technician poked around our laundry room for a few minutes and gave us an estimate of $700.00 to hook up the dryer and refused to touch the grill.  We inquired why it was so much to literally plug in a dryer (we already had gas running to the stove and water heater in our home) and he said it was because we did not have the necessary parts.  Without parts, they wanted $500 for service.  Refusing to pay such an outrageous price, we asked the tech to leave, but he refused to leave without payment of the $70 service fee.  Upset, we called the office and asked for a refund but we were told that we could look into TECO's online rebates and then have the service completed and they would apply the $70 to the cost of that service.  The online rebates were for new TECO customers to have gas service turned on.   We did not qualify because we already had the gas.  I called Lapensee Plumbing and asked them how much it would be to hook up the dryer and grill and they quoted us, over the phone with no issue, $98.00.  She also said that our contractor just called her a few minutes before inquiring about hook ups at our address.  (It had to be Plumbing Express calling in doubt of their own prices!)  I mentioned the $500-$700 fee and she literally lost her breath and was speechless for a few moments before telling us we were getting scammed.  Bad.  Giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking maybe there was some confusion about what we wanted done, I called and I spoke with Scott, the manager about a refund and he explained the job would take the most experienced tech at least a couple hours and they needed special parts for my steam dryer and they wanted to do several inspections.  I explained it was a new build and had just been inspected by another gas plumber just a few days prior upon hooking up the stove and water heater.  He then quoted me $250, if we purchased our own parts (a dryer vent).  I inquired why the price kept jumping and he couldn't give me a straight answer.  Lapensee, who is also a TECO recommended contractor, came out and hooked up our washer and our steam dryer, and provided a part to hook up the grill and was in our home for less than 15 minutes.  We paid $98.00.  I called Express requesting a refund of the $70 service fee, but they refused and continue to stand by their outrageous pricing.  They lied about the parts we needed, lied about the time it would take for service, and tried to charge us $700.00 for a $98.00 service, then had their management staff back it all up.  We are currently filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and notifying TECO of the incident.

I'd give Plumbing Express 10 stars but they only allow you 5 that's how good I think they are. From the nice lady I talked to in the office who likes Sunflowers to Grant the technician who did a great job taking the old water heater out and putting the new one in. 5 *****'s for Grant to.

If you want quality service, this is the plumber to call for your needs. Chris, the service manager is personable and the technicians are knowledgeable. Great service.

We had Plumming Express come out to clear a drain. I thought the cost was high at $441 with a first responder discount. All went well until we had another issue within two weeks. We were told it would be $69 for the service even if the problem was under warranty. We canceled the appointment because the drain worked, but only for a day. Once again we contacted them via email, but it was Friday so they were not available. Our warranty expired on that Sunday. When they finally sent someone out they wanted to charge another $548 to clear the drain again claiming the warranty was no longer in effect even though we contacted them prior to its expiration. We tried to negotiate, offering half the amount, but they weren't having it. Seems as if they are just trying get as much as they can from customers without caring to build a client base. Would not hire them again.

Worst experience ever. I scheduled a water heater replacement on Friday, I send them pictures of water heater and schedule an appointment on Monday. They called me on Monday saying that they didn't have the heater on stock scheduling for aTuesday morning. I call on Tuesday at 12.30 for an update and Lisa tells me that they are very busy and recommends me to find another company. Can you believe this service?

I'm still in shock for their lack of professionalism... stay away
