Moved into the house  in Hudson, a month goes by I  received a door hanger from the Hudson water department asking for me to call them ASAP.  I knew it wasn't a welcome to the area phone call.   I have a plumbing background, I knew why they left it.  I figured the leak was between the meter and house.  It was not obvious  anywhere in the yard. And I didn't want to haphazardly dig holes in the yard and waste my time.  I called Sonar Bonar in the morning and Chris came out in the pm.  Chris is Very professional and friendly. Within 45 mins he found the leak.   He dug it up , exposed the pipe and later In the evening I fixed it.  Btw when I called the water department They said I used 27000 gallons of water in 29 days.  Always take water leaks seriously.  Water is a precious resource!

I woke up early Sunday morning  to hear water running look for obvious things found nothing looked at the water meter saw the meter running very slow narrowed it down to somewhere around the bathroom did some research found that Gary from Sonar Bonar Was the man to call I called on Sunday the lady on the phone was very nice schedule me for an appointment on Monday in the afternoon Gary called and told me what time he would be there he was right on time very professional and very courteous when he narrow down the leak even let me listenSo I could hear it with his sonar thank you Gary i called a plumber To come out and repair and we're Gary mark the spot the leak was it was only 1 inch from it pretty  good not having a total crystal ball thank you again Gary you and your company is an asset to the community

Worst customer service!  They informed us that they would  contact the plumber to help detect the leak and said they would call us back.  We waited a week they never called us back.  We called them they never even contacted the plumber.  I would never use this company!!!

First, I have to say that Gary and his wife are very courteous and seem like fine people.  I wish I could have given them four stars, but here is my history with this company.

I began to have increasingly larger water bills than usual for the past few months.  I called a plumbing company, and they told me that I should call Sonar Bonar to come to my home and find my leak.  Afterward, they would come out and repair the leak when it was identified and detected by Bonar Sonar.  I called Bonar and they came very quickly, and Gary had all the equipment to do the job of detecting the leak.  I live in a senior retirement community of mobile homes and there is crawl area under my home.  Mr. Bonar went throughout my home, around the perimeter and then underneath my structure.  His sonar detected what he thought was a leak and it was about eight feet under my home.  He noted the location on the side of my home with a blue piece of tape for the plumbers to have an idea just where the leak was occurring and where to enter.  I paid Mr. Bonar $300 and felt good about the job and confident my problem was solved.  The plumbers came out that day and found the leak and did the repair.   Then, they noticed my meter was still running with all valves closed inside and outside of my home.  Apparently, I still had a leak problem.  So, I called Sonar Bonar and told them that the plumbers said I had an additional leak somewhere in my lines.  Mrs. Bonar said that her husband would come back out, but, here it comes.  It would cost me an additional $300 to find another leak.  She said that my initial $300 only covered one leak.  Apparently, I was not made aware of this when I initially called for their service, for if I was, I would have had to reconsider and find a plumber than can repair and also detect a leak all in one service call.  So, I am 79YO and decided that for $300, I would crawl under the home and find the leak myself.  Well, I did, and it was about six feet down the line from the first leak that was detected.  Plumbers came out and fixed that leak and it seems there is still a small leak somewhere in my system.  So, today, I don my old clothes and once again go under my home on a leak detection mission.  

The main jest of this is to make anyone who hires Bonar Sonar, aware of the one leak and done, on their visit.  If you have more than one leak pay up or do it yourself.

My family is in the process of building a new home where my childhood home, built in the 50s, once stood. We needed a camera run through a clay sewage pipe to determine if there was any root intrusion or damage from a nearby grand oak tree. I called on 4/11 and scheduled an appointment for 4/17 at 8:30 AM.
We arrived at the house at 8:30 Monday morning, and thankfully, I called to follow up at 9 AM. I was told there was an oversight, that my appointment was never scheduled. and I was worked into the schedule for Monday afternoon at 3.
My children and I arrived at 3 PM for the postponed appointment, waited 1.5 hours, and I finally called at 4:30 for an update. At that point, I was assured I was the next call, and I should expect to hear from a technician shortly. At 5:30, I packed my kids up and headed home.
I called Tuesday morning to speak with an owner to explain how disappointed I was in waiting on two no-shows on Monday. I was told the owners had been on vacation, but they were returning to the office around noon. It was also shared that they were short-staffed on Monday and had a major emergency job Monday afternoon. Sadly enough, I never received any sort of update/call from them about this, which would have saved me a lot of time... I explained that I really needed this work done this week and was scheduled first for yesterday, 4/19, at 9 AM.
Once again, my husband and I arrived at the house at 9 AM and waited. I called at 9:45 to ask if we had been deleted from the schedule again and was told that the technician was on another job (I thought we were the first appointment yesterday?) and that he would call when he was thirty minutes out. It seemed obvious from the pause on the phone and the fact that they scrambled to locate a technician nearby that we were most likely not on the schedule again. We finally got a call from Tim at 11, and he arrived around 11:30. His work was completed by noon, and he handed my husband a $350 invoice for the job.
My husband called the office to pay the invoice this morning and explained all of this to Debbie. Once again, we were told that she had been on vacation, and after a long pause, she asked what he would like her to do. (I should have asked how much her time is worth per hour since her business wasted over six hours of mine.) We were given a $50 discount, paid the bill, and will not be calling Sonar Bonar again.

I understand it is difficult to estimate the time needed for certain calls, and I was more than patient. If your time is valuable to you, I suggest you find another company.

Worst costumer service ever.  Call at 9am to find a leak in the bedroom floor and was told that someone would be at my house about 3:30pm . I called back about 1:40 pm to ask if I should take up my wood floor to help them  find the leak. They said that would help out a lot. then after 3:30pm still no show. I called them back asking if they were still coming over. Deb said yes as soon as mike was done with a job. he would call me when he was on his way. Now I called agin after 4:30 pm and still no show and  no calls . I am the one that has to call to find out what is going on. You would think if you ran a business where people are waiting for service that you would communicate with the costumer about a time frame when to except service to come . but no not at all no call , just wasted my whole day waiting for service and not even a sorry or an apologize for being inconvenience . I would never recommend this business to  anyone , if you can not let your costumers know a time frame of when to except service to come , then you should not be in business .

Gary was so responsive, kind, friendly helpful, and efficient. We had a leak in a wall (we thought) but couldn't figure out exactly where. He came within hours with all the needed equipment. He was so thorough and when he couldn't find it he assisted my husband in cutting open the wall and locating it. He gave us solid advice and was so personable. It was such a positive experience all things considered. I'd highly recommend him!

Mike was great, give him a promotion!
I've had other plumbers come that weren't much help. But Mike not only helped me discover several areas I wasn't aware were leaking, but noticed my neighbor's water meter was rocking and going to charge him a large amount if he didn't get his problem fixed too. Greatly appreciated!

Today was the second time i used Sonar Bonar, and was again impressed by their highly experienced professionals.  In an industry where pricing can seem arbitrary, Sonar Bonar is fair and provides good service.

This company was hired by my hoa bay island They spend 3 hours completely inspect and clear the unit of any leaks to come back 2 days later and claim overflow gasket leaked though my extenant had not been in the unit for over a week at that point thus no water use and oddly hoa maintenance staff had been hamering on drain pipes day before. Any one else ever file a complaint with the pinellas County contractors board etc against this company?

Phenomenal! Chris arrived at my home within an hour of my initial phone call to the office. He was pleasant and extremely thorough; he asked permission before cutting into the drywall and found the leak within minutes and clearly marked it for the plumber (even went above and beyond and relayed all of the information to the plumber!).  I HIGHLY recommend this company for anyone who needs leak detection!

I can't recommend Sonar Bonar enough!

They were very professional and went to great lengths to find our leak. We had some extra issues with finding the leak and they did not give up. They were so nice, and enjoyable to talk to!

We felt very confident in their job and HIGHLY recommend them!

They answered a ton of questions for us and took the time needed to help us get on the right path to fixing our leak.

They were FANTASTIC! Thank you Gary and Mike!!
