Chris's Plumbing Service Inc. is a plumbing contractor firm, the company offers an array of products, such as portable toilets, plumbing products, holding tanks and water supply tanks, to name a few. Located in Riverview, Fla., it provides various services, such as drain cleaning, video camera inspections, backflows installed/tested/repaired and sewers installed, among others. Additionally, Chris's Plumbing Service Inc.offers skeptic services, such as septic tanks pumped, grease traps pumped and lift station cleaning as well as maintenance.

DO NOT use Chris's plumbing! Charged me for 2 hours of work when the plumber finished in 1/2 hr and sat in van for another 30 min. I knew i would be charged a little more for a weekend call  but i was also specific in what the leak was from ( a flex hose) once hey got to house the plumber said they don't carry those (mind you an Ace is 2 miles from my house) and they don't meet code. Funny my house passed code twice! The plumber turned a 5 min fix into 2 hours of labor and $75.00 in parts...all together $375!
The owner called me to confront me over my being upset. He was very confrontational. Told him if he called me again I would file charges.

Stay away from this company the staff is very rude, they did not fixed the problem they came to set the toilet and they did not fixed them I called the office and the very rude lady who answers the phone told me that they would charge me again for a job that never was done correctly.....they don't even deserve 1 stat  what a shame!!!

I called Chris's Plumbing because my tub and shower, we're draining very slow. The plumber came out and immediately snaked my main line and dug up my septic tank. An hour and a half later he came in and tried snaking my shower and tub with no luck. He was not able to fix the issue, said his manager would get with me on an estimate to get into the wall, since he thought that was the issue. $350 later my slow drains were not fixed. I waited a week and called another plumber, who came in snaked my shower and tub and had it unclogged within 5 minutes. I've tried calling Chris's to get some monetary resolution, since they did not fix the issue and never got back with me. And of course they have not returned my call. I do not recommend Chris's Plumbing for anything.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR PLUMBING NEEDS!! This company charged my account for services not rendered basically stealing money. Several people gave us different warranty dates which we had an invoice that stated we were within warranty period but company did not want to honor that because they were trying to make profit from faulty work. The staff who performs work is very unprofessional, plumber tried stealing a component from my toilet from which they claimed was faulty but was going to use it again for another job and was also on social media the entire time just looking at toilet.  Company talked as if everything is covered and then when do called work is done without authorization they want to charge a ridiculous price taking advantage of customer. THIS IS A SHADY PLUMBING COMPANY DO NOT USE! They may have a couple satisfied customer but majority are not satisfied and would never recommend.

I really do not recommend this business. We had a bad experience. I called and specifically asked the female that answered the call the cost to snake our main drain.  I was told a specific rate for the first hour and then the rate if the time goes over.  I also asked what the maximum cost would be.  The plumber took a half hour from the time he arrived, to the time he had all his equipment loaded in the van.  He then said he had to go out and prepare the invoice in the van.  This took another 25 minutes (I physically timed it) and saw him on the phone for much of that time.  He came back with a bill for over an hour-and-a-half which was also over the maximum price I was told it would be on the phone.  I questioned this, he said travel time of 20 minutes each way was added. NO one said anything about travel time.  I asked to speak with a supervisor, which he called and was the same female I spoke to on the phone.  I offered the minimum rate they quoted for the hour minimum they bill, they refused. Do not trust a company that cannot even use proper English in their company's name - should be Chris' Plumbing not Chris's Plumbing

Brandon from Chris's Plumbing was at my house today within an hour of my calling. All of my plumbing was backed up and I had some flooding. He was conscientious and polite and found out what the problem was. He snaked out the whole plumbing system and stayed at my house until he made sure that everything was working properly. I had no toilets or sinks overnight until he came after I called the next morning. One plumber I called and spoke to a female who answered the phone saw no urgency to this situation and said no one could come out until Monday which meant five days with no plumbing. She was rude about it also. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!  This is a plumber with five star reviews so be careful who you choose. I can't praise Chris's plumbing enough for their responsiveness, courteous service, and reasonable charge. From the time I called until Brandon was done I have nothing but high praise for all those that I encountered

My first experience was with their on-call service.  Since their website said 24-hour emergency service I was thinking that they would at least call me back and say we cannot come out until tomorrow.  Called their service twice.  Did not get a call from someone until the next day, nor did they tell me we would not hear from them until regular business hours.

Secondly, The amount of time spent at my home to complete the repairs and the actual Hourly charge did not sync up.  I called their office a couple of days later to question the hourly charge and Joann told me she could get the GPS information and call me back.  I never got that call back.  In addition to questioning the time spent working on my repair, the person performing the repairs busted the neighbors water line as well which means he had to repair his line as well as mine.  That took additional time.

Needless to say, I will not be using them again.

If you need septic tank repairs and you don't call Chris's you are crazy!  From the time you call them in a panic and JoAnn (who should be sainted)  calms you down and gets someone to your house.  They were here before promised time and went above and beyond.  I will never call anyone else.  They have this customers loyalty.

This plumbing service is horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone!
I had a backed up sewage problem that caused my bathtub to be filled with open sewage. That wasn't even mine! My apartment complex called this plumbing service to fix the problem at 6:30 pm. It never got fixed. I called them back when I got home at 11pm saying that I still had a sewage problem in my home. The maintenance man at the complex said he would call again and someone would be there that night. I waited up until 7 am and no one showed up. I would have to go to the gas station across the street just to use the bathroom. When I called the plumbing service this morning I was told they would contact the technician on duty. I then get a call from a woman named Joanne from the plumbing service who immediately had an attitude. When I told her the situation and how upset I was, she became very defensive and started giving me attitude about how none of this was their fault and it was my fault because I didn't want strangers in my house while I wasn't home. I told her not to get an attitude with me, she sassed me back saying that the longer we are on the phone the longer you have to wait for them to come by she didn't want to hear my problems. THEN WHY ARE YOU IN CUSTOMER SERVICE? Find a new job.

STAY AWAY from this company and DO NOT give them a credit card to hold on file. My hot water heater was not heating, so they came out to take a look at it. The plumber was there less than 5 minutes. He disconnected the electric to the water heater and informed me it was an electrical issue and he couldn't do anything. There was no work done, no material used, and 3 days later they charged my credit card for $143 without even notifying me! I immediately filed a dispute with a my credit card company and a couple days later they emailed me a paid in full invoice that I did not authorize and was never talked about! There are many other highly qualified companies to use that will not rip you off like Chris' plumbing. STAY AWAY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had them come to our home to pump out our kitchen drain. Fine, they did it (not using the correct snake by the way) and here it is, not even a month later, and our kitchen sink is plugged up AGAIN!! Called the company, only got an answering service and after some time, finally got a call back. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and blamed US for making the sink plug up again!! All we wanted was for the company to come back out and unplug the drain, the RIGHT way, without charging us, since it wasn't unplugged in the first place. But, she would not listen to our complaint and was going to charge us for their screw up!! If you have problems in your home, DO NOT call this company!! Find another, better company to do the job!!

We called Chris's plumbing  to come empty the black tank on our RV, due to the local state parks being closed we can't do it yourself. I took the day off work which is hard right now, and couldn't really afford to.miss a day so I could be there in case they needed anything. I called about noon to get a ballpark time and was told we were on the schedule and they would definitely be by. At 430i called back and was told they would be by and once again was told we were on the schedule. About 445 I got a phone call telling me we were not on the schedule, oddly enough she had my name,number and home address and service request but no appointment for us. The next day the rv was empty and all was good. noticed today my black tank was full again. With just two of us here there is no possible way that we filled the tank in 5 days. it usually takes 3 weeks to a month. When we called we were told they would be happy to come repump and charge us. I would never ask for something free or accept something that I didn't pay for. But we genuinely feel like Chris's plumbing is taking advantage of people in a time of need. Granted the service was only $50, but right now with money as tight as is it and our paychecks were cut in half, this is no way to treat people.

I had been up until 2:30AM wrestling  with my Delta Monitor cartridge. In my DIY frustration (5-6 hours) I finally broke down and began looking for help. I called Chris Plumbing and the lady over the phone (I can't recall her name) 8/8/21 (Sunday) listened to my  shower issue. She quickly determined that I had purchased the wrong cartridge. I couldn't believe her quick analysis so I proceeded to YouTube to verify. And guess what...She was right. I exchanged the cartridge and now my shower is working just fine...So I am super appreciative of the customer service/diagnosis over the phone! That's a win in my book!

My boyfriend used Chris's plumbing to pump out and complete a septic inspection at his home!  their prices were reasonable for the quality job they did. The driver was very professional and did a great job!  We had such a good experience that we used them again to pump out my boyfriend's rental property as well as complete a few small plumbing task around the home before we put the home on the market! The plumber informed us about the job and educated us on what needed to be done which was very helpful because I was worried about paying a lot of money. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality job performed by a licensed and insured company.

You definitely get your moneys worth with this company!

Called them today at 9am for an appointment, was told some one would be by to pump out my septic.  At 10:30am I called them because no one had showed up.  At 2:30pm I called, making sure I was not forgotten, was told some one would be by and I would get a 30 min phone call before the arrived.  At 5:15pm I called thir office, it was closed!!! NO ONE showed up at my house.  I gave up a whole day of busy work, for nothing.  My husband went into work late, for nothing!! Now they are telling me AGAIN, soeone will be by in 30 minutes.  Right!!! PEOPLE use someone else!!! Call in the Brandon area.  Doesn't pay to use a company who can not stand by their word!!!

The number of bad reviews here surprises me.  I have had nothing but good experiences with the people who work at Chris's Plumbing Service.  I have only ever used them.  
Since buying my current home, they have been out 3 times.  Twice for pipes that ruptured under my slab, and the third time to document that Hillsborough County Water has the pressure to my neighborhood set well above the UPC maximum of 80psi (110psi) and that is why so many people in my neighborhood have plumbing problems.

If I could give this company NEGATIVE STARS I would. On a scale from 1 being not so bad to 10 being the worst ever it would be a 10 across the board! We called this company because a close family friend referred us (we will never be asking him for that again).
YELP will not let me write all the problems because it is to long, So I will just say that they caused a DANGEROUS SITUATION and DID NOT FIX THE ACTUAL PROBLEM we asked them to find and fix the leak and they found the first thing they saw and said that was the problem and said that was what was causing the leak. It was not the problem and after having Dangerous gas fill the house and rude and unprofessional plumbers we never got the real problem found and fixed. We had to call another company out ( Shout out to CHUCK'S PLUMBING for finding and fixing the problem quickly and with great manners and high professionalism!!!!)
If you want RUDE,UNPROFESSIONAL,AND DANGEROUS SERVICE call Chris's Plumbing.

They responded quick, we're professional and friendly, with a very reasonable price. I had a leak behind my refrigerator and they came in and got us fixed up. They also provided us with some recommendations on our configuration to limit future leaks and they went ahead and did that for us too. I also had a bad water spicket on the outside of the house and they quickly took care of that as well. They also helped us with a water shut off valve issue that had been plaguing us for some time. Wish I would of called them sooner and I'll certainly call them again in the future. Friendly gents who were in and out. Couldn't of asked for a better experience.

The woman who sets up appointments is a complete liar and dishonest.  I called and asked how they do billing for a regular appt, not an emergency.  She said $95 per hour to include driving from their Riverview office (which is 10 minutes down the road).  I chose to have an appointment after the school/work traffic, between 9 and 1.  They couldn't make that time, so changed it to the afternoon window...  Even though the appt. was made last week.  They came and worked in my house for a half hour.  There was $24 in parts.  My bill came to 215!!!  She said there was traffic.  Then, the guys sat in our driveway for 6 minutes (according to their Garmin) before they came in to work. (We were watching to see how sneaky they'd be with their billing after reading another review).   THEN the nerve to charge me 2x because they sent TWO guys!!!  None of this was explained.  AVOID this company.  Total ripoffs.  ***Lastly, there was dripped toilet water from their tools all the way through the house to the front door.  Disgusting.

Chris' Plumbing (they bought out Leto and kept the same crew) did a whole house re-pipe for us.  It's so rare to get the kind of attention to detail and excellent workmanship like these guys provided us.  The price was fair, and there were no deviations from the estimate which was provided to us by Jason, the owner.  I highly recommend them for re-pipe jobs.

first i want to start with the owner of this place he  is completely racist degrades women. i called chris plumbing to pump my septic when i was out of town i would b there in the morning they told me they would come that day n they would bill me later when my paycheck would b deposit that friday . i was thinking that was awesome to help my stress load. when i came the next day i had seen that where my septic was at in my yard the dirt that covers it had not been disturbed so i called them n asked them y they didnt come out they told me they did. i went in my home it was fine a couple days later it was doing it again so i called them n they tried to run my card when i told them i wasnt paying unless they do the job thats when they said oh we only pumped water out of the septic. n i said to them  but i called u to pump all the stuff out my septic n u left it in there. so they started harassing me n calling my phone over n over. they called me back acting like another company becuz they assumed i would b looking n asked for my credit card to put on file but they werent going to run it so not even knowing i did they tried to take out money off my new card n the bank app notified me. it was the same people. when they relaized the trick didnt work the owner called my phone no caller id n told me he passes by my house all the time n see me n my n*gger baby outside  all the time n how he is gonna come to my house n c*m in my mouth. i had advised him if i have alot of cameras on my property he continued to harass he degraded me to the upmost for something he did wrong not me. luckily i recorded the whole conversation of him degrading me so if anything ever happens to me i have proof he was the one that did it. u would think racism would b over by now but some people just show their true self when they r mad. shame on this business.

I was actually very surprised at the recent visit considering we had had good experiences before this time. Our water heater that we had paid full price for and labor just one year ago failed. When I called and asked them to come and look at the flood in our garage they did and decided that the water heater is faulty. They installed a new water heater for us but said we had to pay $75 for the upgrade charge for all of the parts and for all of the labor. Coming to approximately $300.  when the plumber was actually at our house I told him I was going to have to leave to run my son to an emergency doctors appointment he said that was no problem and he would call me later to get the credit card info. I heard nothing from him on Friday or the following Monday. I was called by Karen in the front office on Tuesday and asked to settle up our account of the $300, since I was busy at the time I told her I would call her back to pay it. In the meantime the owner Chris called my husband at work and asked why we were running away from paying them? When my husband told him that I was handling it with Karen, he said that's not true because we don't even have your wife's phone number, basically calling us liars.  I cannot believe that Chris himself called my husband at work to tell him that basically we are liars and thieves by not settling up our account in full on Friday and that they were going to have to chase us down to get payment. Which is completely untrue.  We called Chris back  directly Tuesday evening and gave him the credit card info. But made sure to mention that we didn't appreciate being called thieves  and liars, at which point he denied saying any of it and hung up. Do yourself a favor and do not ever deal with this company, very unprofessional and  rude!

They gave a quote and the manager will not honor it after I bought all of the parts they told me to buy. Price increase of $25/hour which is a 26% increase. Manager Joy was rude and attempted to bully me on the phone. They just lost a loyal customer.

Our daycare center used Chris's Plumbing to clear an ongoing plumbing issue due to toys, wet wipes, and other items not meant to be flushed.  A special shout out to Greg, he was professional, courteous, and did not leave a mess. We also had a lift station inspection/repair the next day and are extremely happy with the service and the price was fair. They were also prompt in arriving at the promised time of service.

Sally by far has been zero help to anyone...I had a simple toliet install and it ended up flooding and leaking onto my new floors...they sent 5 techs out to figure out the problem and ended up not fixing it. Took them 4 days to put the toliet on right without a leak cost me two days of being out of work to fix the issue... the tech cause more damage they turned on my irrigation for whatever reason and now I have huge puddles of water all around my yard...that they say they are not liable for...wouldn't use this company for anything 1 * service

Jose in truck 20 in the Brandon Riverview area is extremely rude. He cussed me out while I was driving to the hospital to have my baby because he said I pulled out in front of him, but we did not. I have it all on video of him being unprofessional. He should not be representing the company acting like that. Iv tried calling this company but they do not answer and I would like a response from them and do not think he should be employed here. He is not professional and should not be working inside people's homes acting like that.

Be careful...pay with a check. They have no problem charging your credit card for additional charges without your approval and they don't prove you with an additional invoice.

Chris's Plumbing is completely unresponsive to calls or texts, even for jobs they are actively engaged to work on. When Chris finally did send out a plumber to install the toilet, shower fixtures and vanity faucet, the plumber left to go to another job knowing full well that the toilet needed a new fill valve or would keep running water 24/7 (therefore unusable) and that the temperature valve on the shower was jiggly and loose. Chris did not respond at all to calls to come fix these problems because he had already been paid. The WORST customer service and extraordinarily inadequate work.

Called Chris's Plumbing on a
Sunday due to a sink leak. Although the technician (Carlos) was great, the initial person I spoke totally misquoted their travel time charge. I was caught off guard with the final bill. When calling back to speak to a manager, the same person (Jennifer) was rude and treated me as though she could care a less. I have since left a message THREE times to speak to the manager (Jason) who either does not return calls, doesn't care or is not getting the messages. I would highly recommend finding a different company for your plumbing needs. Given my poor experience, I am not surprised that their overall rating is a 2.

I definitely would not recommend this company there are not honest and reliable unethical. I don't know how you have people working for you that sabotage  customers equipment just the guy was definitely not confident he was there to fix a faucet took the faucet apart will put parts on forget to put parts back on take it apart put a part back on then forget another  after2 hours and 200.00 dollers  l still  not fixed went underneath my sink sabotage loosen the thing and told me he would have to take the whole thing apart and it would cost more time I told him to stop afer told hom deliberately loosened the faucet and I know cuz I had worked out at myself for 2 days it was not loose Have another company come out two days later took a 4-Piece kitchen sink faucet set removed and  installed new and less than 45 minutes for only $125.00

Worst service EVER!  Needed emergency service so I called and left a message.  Dispatch called back and said 30-45 minutes it took over an hour.  Dispatch explained after hours was $128 per hour.  Plumber arrived and fixed issue in about 30 minutes then added fees for using  his tools and another fee for his trip from 15 minutes away.  When questioned about these hidden fees plumber was rude...then dispatcher Joan called me the customer as was rude threatened with the police and called me the B word.  This place is a nightmare.  DO NOT USE THEM.  They are a rip off!!! I had used Chris's Plumbing to install new faucets in my bathrooms and kitchen.  The technician was not very nice, complained all the time he was here installing the faucets.  About two weeks went by and my kitchen faucet was dripping after I turned the faucet off.  I called Chris's Plumbing to let them know it was dripping and they came out to look at it.  They never told me they would charge me a service fee!!!  I called them to ask why I'm being charged a service fee for them to check something they just installed for me!!!  I would not recommend this company to anyone.  Obviously they do not guarantee their work and if it's not installed properly they will charge you a service call for returning to fix it properly they way it should have been fixed in the first place.  Very unprofessional in my opinion.  I will NEVER use them again.

do not not not not use this company's service. they sent two guys. this two men check my bathtub just 10 minutes then told me it is no problem. then they did nothing but charge me 97 dollars,and left with my bathtub still leak!this is really ridiculous!

I wF rating on BBB for good reason. They charge by the hour and don't mind taking their time (and your money!). They even charge you for the time it takes to write the invoice, which wouldn't be a big deal except even that took 15 minutes. Not to mention, they don't tell you until the end that you have to pay an additional half hour (@ $85/hr) for their drive back to the office.  To top it all off, the work he did do was bad. Had a mixer valve replaced and my husband had to fix it last night because he put it in backwards. This was one of their more experienced senior plumbers. Stay away.

I used Chris's Plumbing for a plumbing backup issue I was having at my house. I was told by the plumber who came out that my drain field needed to be replaced. Since this is somewhat of an expensive repair, I asked the plumber to please have my septic pumped in order to buy my family and I some time to plan and get this problem resolved. The pumping took place the same day.

Within a couple of days, I had several companies come out to give me an estimate on my drain field replacement, and upon these other companies inspecting the drain field, they made me aware that my septic tank was never pumped out completely. When Chris's Plumbing pumped the septic tank, I was not aware of it only getting partially pumped out, and was made to believe it was fully pumped out. This is highly frustrating as we paid $372 that day. My wife was the only one at home at the time and I'm completely disgusted with how we were taken advantage of.

I have attempted to call Chris's Plumbing multiple times over the past month and I have yet for anybody to give me an answer what happened. I spoke with office manager and owner, both have promised to call me back within 24 hours after speaking with driver, but it has now been 30+ days and I have yet to speak with them.  I assure you I will never do business with Chris's Plumbing again, but would still like somebody to call me ASAP for an explanation at minimum.

Work was performed okay. However, when the work was done they presented me with a bill for $200 more than they quoted for the job. This was after repeated assurances the job would not exceed a certain amount.  I talked to the office manager on the phone who was extremely rude even though I tried to be polite and reason with her. She told me if I didn't pay the bill she would put a contractors lien on my property. Then she accused me of threatening her--which I never did--and told me the phone conversation was being recorded.  I paid the bill because I don't have time to fight a contractors lien in court over $200.  Beware.  Dishonest.  Rude.

I had multiple projects that I did not have time to do, so I called Chris's b/c they have helped me snake out the drain a couple of times and did a good job. The tech, Greg, knocked out reseating a toilet, replaced a tub spout and replacing a fill valve in a toilet. Best of all, my disposal did not need replacing as the noise was just the blades touching rust and crud on the sides. I was this close to buying a new one and installing it myself. So glad I called the pros at Chris's Plumbing.

I have used Chris' on NINE different occasions to work at three different houses. ALL WERE great experiences. I always ask for Greg. I mentioned to Chris' about all the negative postings here. They explained that plumbing is a cut throat business and other companies come to sites like this and post negative reviews to kill off competition. I wouldn't believe the negative reviews posted here. My experience has ALWAYS been great. Ignore the postings here and give them a try yourself!

Do not use Chris's Plumbing. Not only are they unreliable but they have terrible customer service. I had them come out a few weeks ago to replace a faucet and they did a great job. I figured I would keep using them... so I called them to fix a leaking toilet. They gave me a 10-2 window. I took off from work to be home for them and no one showed. No phone call to say they weren't coming...nothing. I called them and they gave me some excuse that the dispatcher was busy and couldn't call me. We rescheduled for 2 days later from 8-12. I once again stayed home from work and NO ONE showed and no call from the dispatcher. I finally called them and they told me that the plumber was busy at another job and could come out in 2 hours. They had no plans to call me to tell me the plumber was running behind. I will never waste my time with this company again. Clearly they don't care about repeat customers.

Scheduled a plumber to come onsite last week and they were supposed to arrive yesterday afternoon. No one came and no one called me to advise of a schedule change. The visit was changed to first thing the next morning. Once again, no one arrived and I called and was told that my appointment was once again changed without any notification whatsoever. Apparently, this company lacks professionalism and, if they can't even follow-up on an  appointment after two attempts, they can't be trusted to do any actual work. I've wasted a lot of my time with zero results. Find another company.

Pass on Chris's Plumbing. Here's my experience. We had a leak in a irrigation pipe in the yard. We called early in the morning and they thought since it was near the lift station, our septic tank needed to be pumped. The pump truck didn't arrive until the end of the day and the guys said it clearly was unnecessary and I needed a plumber. I had to pick to have it fixed paying overtime evening charges or having no water overnight. We picked the latter, but we had to pay around 85 just for the truck to show up and they wouldn't refund it even though it was their mistake. The next day they came and did the work. A few days later the leak came back. They came back and said they couldn't fix it even though we had already been charged around 400. I called to get a refund for some of it. They wouldn't call me back and it took weeks of calls before they finally refunded one of the trip fees. We had to go to another company and the issue was fixed in an hour or so. They are incompetent and look to charge as much as possible. Larson's Plumbing in Ybor City is pricey, but they are extremely good at fixing issues and know what they are doing. Don't use Chris's Plumbing, they're terrible.

Had drain plug inside for grey water septic tank outside.  Did not know to call so called two local plumbers who did not want to come out because septic tank involved, both suggested Chris's plumbing.  They worked around my work schedule, the plumber came out, did what plumbers do and know we can do laundry and dishes again.  It was quick, very professional, and at a fair price.  I plan on using them again.

If I could give a negative 5 star to Chris's plumbing I would do so. We were told they would be out between 8:30 AM and noon.  We waited eight hours for them to show up. Two plumbers of which one was extremely rude. They left at  approximately 8 PM that evening. They were to install new shower fixtures and  A faucet in the master bedroom and a new faucet in the guest bathroom . When they finished with the shower faucet I told him it was unacceptable and I was going to have it inspected. At that point they took it back apart and fixed it the right way. The mounting plate for the handle was approximately 1/2 inch out from the tile. The backside  where the valve was installed had a chunk of PVC pipe used as a shim to hold the front mounting plate in tighter to the tile.The rude plumber installed the faucet in the master  and moved onto the guest bathroom.  There instead of checking to see if the faucet would fit he tore out the old faucet and destroyed it then took out the drain and destroyed that. Then informed us that the one we bought would not fit. I told him you will have to put the one that you took out of the master in here so we use the sink. He said I think I destroyed that one too.  He had to use the drain from the new faucet ( so now I can't return that set)  so we could use the sink. When we told them we were not going to pay until we had someone from Chris's plumbing come out to look at the mess that they made  and did not want to pay for the extra hour it took for them to correct the shower valve and faucet handle the rude one got mad.
The next day we called Chris's plumbing and spoke to Chris Hoffman the owner. When my husband asked if they were licensed plumbers he got mad and started screaming at him. Never did answer whether or not they are licensed plumbers. I'm guessing NOT since he got so mad. We ask him if he would come out and look and he SCREAMED I'm not coming out And I will take you to small claims court. At this point he said this is how it will go down
1.  We will both show up, and have to go to court the second time. At this point I will  fain  stomach flu. Which means you will have to show up the third time.
It sure sounds like this man has been in small claims court several times  to know how to use the system so well.
By now we have him on speaker phone. I told him I have pictures I can send him so that he can see what they did in the shower. He insulted me at this point and my husband hung up on him. Then he called us back and asked my husband if we got disconnected. My husband said no I hung up on you and he said well let me do the same to you and then he hung up.
I have never worked with a more unprofessional company. All we wanted was for him to see firsthand what was done. We did not want to pay for the hour it took for them to correct their own mistake.  I will be talking to BBB and also to Angie's list when I am finished here.
Do yourself a favor and scroll down through the reviews and you will see that this is typical of Chris's plumbing. I should have read those reviews before we ever hired them. I hope this review will keep someone else from going through the misery we went through with Chris's Plumbing.

I only rate this company a one because there are no increments under that number.  *** If you are military - please read ALL of this!  

As a retired military member, based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this company.  I had them install a water softener (they don't install personally bought ones after 4/13/18 anymore - we paid them $1,200.00) and had nothing but nightmares.  The initial plumber installed the water softener with the water flow BACKWARDS and left the bypass engaged.  After several days went by, we did not notice any change in the water's softness.  I broke out the manual and realized what the plumber did not do.  I pulled the bypass out and the brine from the water softener starting clogging up our toilets and washing machine.  I called them back (they did not charge us) and the plumber fixed the toilets but told us everything was hooked up right.  The brine resign continued to flow so I shut off the water softener and called Chris' Plumbing to complain.  I told them I wanted someone else (not the same plumber) to come back out to see if everything was hooked up correctly.  They sent the same plumber we asked NOT to come back and we turned him away.  They sent a third-party water softener company out and they guy said he could not crawl in the attic to see if everything was hooked up correctly.  He did test the water and say it was soft ( we turned the pass off at this time).  He left and we called a another plumbing company out and they verified and fixed the water flow issue.  I called for several weeks to speak to the owner (Chris Hoffman) and he NEVER called me back.  I wanted to be reimbursed the $85.00 charge for the other plumber to fix and several hours of my time (I work at MacDill AFB).  He finally called today and said he would only give me $85.00 reimbursement.  He said I should of left a key or garage door access so his plumber who hooked it up backwards could fix.  We told them time and time again, not to send him.

With all this said, from a retired military member, based on my experience, I do not recommend this company.

Do not EVER call Chris's Plumbing! They are complete and utter idiots! We called and told them LAST NIGHT our bathtub and toilets were backed up and flooded. We were told someone would be out here first thing in the morning. Then we get a call around 9am saying someone would be here before noon. 1pm rolls around, still nobody showed up. So we call and they say he's headed to the dump station to dump and then will be to our house in an hour. Two hours later, still nobody, so we call again. Oh he's finishing up at the dump station and will be to your house within 30 minutes. Another hour and a half and I get a call saying he went to lunch and it'll be another 40 minutes. That was at 330pm. The guy finally shows up at 4:30, nearly 8 hours later.

The guy never even comes in the house to look at or diagnose anything. He hooks the pump up for about 20 minutes, tells me to flush the toilet to make sure everything is OK, I do it, he takes my $250 and he leaves.

An hour later, it's all backed up and flooded again. WORSE THAN BEFORE THEY SAME.

I just called them back to tell them what happened, the guy says that he can send another plumber out for $175 an hour plus cost of travel. I told him I don't think i should have to pay cost of travel when they already had someone out here. He said you didn't call a plumber, you called a pump truck . I said I called CHRIS'S PLUMBING, expecting a plumber. He says we don't have a crystal ball, we can't diagnose something over the phone . No shit Sherlock, that's why I called for A PLUMBER. To come figure out the problem. Not just assume and leave.

Now I'm under the impression that my tank wasn't even full and they just stole my money.

He says I'll send someone out there over the assumption it's going to be a charge. Ok whatever, I just need this fixed. I asked how long because the guy who was here earlier was 6 hours late. He said I don't know how he could have been late because we don't give time frames. Wow. Your dispatcher gave me 5 different time frames throughout the day and he was late for every single one of them. His response well someone didn't do their job right because they shouldn't have given you a time. Clearly NONE of you can do your jobs right.

This is completely and ridiculously unacceptable.

WE have used this company in the past and had good service. However, this call went well until they decided not to show in the window of time  they stated. When I called them back, they said that the prior job caused more work and more trips out to the location and will be well after their work hours. so they will not be coming today. Well, they NEVER called to say there was a problem. And they didn't state they would come after hours to fix my problem; I would need to wait until Monday. Then, I was told that Chris had sold the company and now they don't work past Friday and would not be out until Monday. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISCOURAGED. I went to find a new plumber and never to call Chris' again.

Do not use Chris' Plumbing Service in Riverview, FL... unless you want to be lied to and criticized by how you're dressed.

I had an appointment with them at 8 am. At 8:15 I called to see where the tech was (I really needed them to be prompt because I was going into work late due to the appointment) and the gentleman told me that the tech would be there in 15 minutes. I had a problem with that because their place of business is only a few minutes from my house.

A lady got on the phone and said that the tech is stuck in traffic due to the 3 schools between their location and my house. I told her that there is no way it can take 45 minutes to get from there to my house (assuming he left at 7:45 for his 8 am appointment). She offered to send me a picture of the traffic in front of their place of business.

I told her there was no need.... I'm coming up there. I threw on a T-shirt and sweats and drove up there in 7 minutes. There was traffic going the opposite direction however, I checked maps once I arrived and it gave me an estimated arrival back at my house in 11 minutes including the absolute awful traffic they spoke of.

When I walked in an older man asked me if I have been helped and I told him no and the reason I was there. I told him that the fact they were late wasn't convenient for me but I do not like to be lied to; the lady could have just said that he was running late or needed to get gas... not lie.

The man repeated back to me my reasons he was running late, he needed to get gas - as if he was giving me the actual reason he was late, blowing me off. He said we're just a small business doing what we can. He then asked what my reaction would have been if Tampa Electric Company would have been late to an appointment. I told him that I'm dealing with him not Tampa Electric Company. Since you are a small business shouldn't you take care of your customers? I went on to tell him that I read bad reviews and should have went with my gut but they seemed so nice on the phone when I called with questions.

He asked if I read the good reviews as well. Hello!! I scheduled an appointment and was going to use your services... Yes, I took the good ones into consideration as well.

In the meantime an older lady came out and asked in a demanding voice why I didn't answer my phone when she called at 7:50 to confirm my appointment. I said, you called at 7:43, I was downstairs making coffee and I called you back at 7:46.

I told them that I will be sure to write a review. The old lady said we're going to write a review on your personality. The old man said we can't because she doesn't have one. This is verbatim the words that came out of their mouths and they both thought it was hysterical. LOL how old are you two?? Very immature comments and surely unprofessional. Then, THEN in a very sarcastic tone, the lady asked me if I was dressed for work. I'm guessing sweats and a t-shirt wasn't work appropriate for me to go to work in HOWEVER, she was wearing yoga pants and a shirt that didn't match.

These people are a joke!! Yes, they were going to replace two sinks at a better price than I could find elsewhere but at what expense?!?! How would they have treated me once I was a paying customer? How would have they treated my home? How would have they have treated me if there was an issue after the install?

$140 per hour and you pay for them to travel to your home!!  Charged us 4 hours for a 1 hour repair.  Didn't bring the parts to do the job, and double billed us and the HOA for part of the repair.
Be aware!! Choose a different company if you want to be treated fairly.

I had a neighbor recommend this outfit for basic work on my home. 6+ months later, one of the 2 bathrooms worked on had same problem. I called and asked for them to waive trip charge and also said if it was something else would obviously pay for repair. Lady put me on hold to ask manager she returned saying out or warranty window .

Not that is should matter but I'm 15 min from them ... clearly being a new customer gets you no additional customer service! Would never use them again.

I've used Chris's Plumbing before, and was impressed with the work done.  So when a friend asked me for a reputable plumber to install and replace a hot water heater,  I didn't hesitate to recommend Chris's Plumbing. But in December 2018, I confidently used them again to replace a shower/tub faucet, and what a big mistake that was! Shoddy workmanship! The tech charred the 2x4 brace when he soldered with a torch,  because he didn't use a shield, and the tub faucet was installed lopsidedly.  I also think the installation was not up to code, because no hot/cold shut off valves were installed (the original had them). So I informed the company of my issues, and was told by Cathy to send pictures to show her manager, which I did.  I've called the office few times asking why no one had called me back yet, and was given the same response each time...I'll let the manager know. When I used the company the first time, I didn't read any reviews on them, I just wanted to support my local business. This time though, I'm not a satisfied customer, and will not be using this company again for any future plumbing work anymore, nor recommend it to friends.

I will NEVER use Chris' plumbing again or recommend it to anyone I know. Horrible company, terrible customer service especially from the owner. The company gave me an invoice, called back with a question on the labor and they increased the price on it and refused to honor the original invoice (literally a difference of about $20). Whenever I asked to have the original quote that I received for the work done (the price that I would have paid if I just paid the bill), I was told no because it was my fault that I didn't put the signature on the invoice even though I was never asked to sign it. I have a copy of the original invoice and was still told this. I asked the technician if I could speak to the office, which he said was closed and that only the 24/7 hour line for scheduling could be contacted and that they don't handle billing. No problem with that, however the owner stated that was not true. Whenever I spoke with the owner, Joanne, she straight up stated that I was irrational and that I tried to take advantage of the technician because he is a young man and I made him feel nervous????? Apparently I made him feel nervous by trying to justify having no approximate time frame (over 3 hours), no description of the work that he needed to do, him leaving for 30 minutes to get extra parts and charging for the time frame as well as calling for help multiple times on the work he was doing. If you want to get hit with a $500 bill by a company owned by crooks that like to take advantage of people, by all means use them!

I called Chris's Plumbing because they had an ad in the Catholic Church bulletin. It says someone there is a Parishioner at Nativity Catholic Church. Boy had he better go to confession. Probably won't because the Priest would tell him to refund money. This young kid came to install a cartridge in the shower. He yanked and pulled on it for 30-45 minutes. Put in a new one, turned on the water to see if it worked got paid alot of money for a small job, and left. He turned off the house water at the street, and left the cover off of it when he left. The pipes make noise ever since he was yanking on that cartridge. I called a 4 star plumber and asked if I needed a new cartridge. (I wanted a blind investigation) they said cartridge is okay, but straps holding the pipes to the 2x4 must have broken. That kid did it!
By the way, Chuck's plumbing is out of Tampa. They drove all the way to Brandon to tell me the only thing they could do was bust the wall open to put new straps on. $49.00. No travel charge like Chris's Plumbing.

they put in a septic system a few years ago and have no idea where it is any of the cleanouts are?  no records ? contacted them several times no luck...
they've also been getting bad press they were busted illegally dumping sewage...

Was told by Joann their guys would be onsite within the hour. They NEVER SHOWED UP!! On the 2nd day after calling & calling & getting no response! Joann finally text & said they would arrive at 9am. They showed up at 10:30am & did not completely fix the problem. Had to call them back out & was charged another $75. Twice I have been double charged, when they left without fixing the problem. I've used Chris's for years & never had any problems. That is why I kept giving the benefit of the doubt. This last time I had a leak from my water Softner. I told them it was the water Softner over the phone. They said if their guy didn't have the part they will order it & come back (I specifically asked if I would have to pay again if their tech didn't have the part). Joann called said tech is 20 mins out. 2 hours later a very unfriendly guy shows up for 5 minutes & informs me Chris's does NOT WORK ON WATER SOFTENERS!! Then charged me $50 for showing up & doing NOTHING! IF they do not work on softeners why did they send a tech to my house? The call was for a Softener!! When my husband arrived home & found out they charged to show up & do NOTHING he called to complain. They refuse to refund the $50 charge - they said is for gas. I WILL NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! Lazy workers. Shady practices & Joann is incompetent. Chris's should be ashamed.
