I was referred to Birkett Electric by a member of an old St. Augustine family, who has decades in the Real Estate business in SA.
I listen when a man, who has a multi-million dollar portfolio of residential and commercial real estate says ...use my electric guy...

I myself have owned and remodeled several homes on Anastasia Island and I always use the services of Birkett Electric!

Mr. Birkett himself came to my primary residence the next day after Hurricane Matthew to verify the safety of our home.

Prompt, courteous, detail oriented, and fast, the Birkett team is professional. They run a clean job site. They have always treated my home and my family with the respect. Their pricing is fair and the hours booked are accurate. The bottom line is I can trust them.

I can't really rate them other than their responsiveness or lack thereof because they never called me back.  When you call you get an answering machine with a message that promises to get back to you by the end of the day but that never happened.

I manage a large condominium community in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and have used Birkett Electric for all of our electrical needs over the past 12 years. Larry and his team do an outstanding job and I refer him to anyone seeking electrical work. Our typical needs require a lift for pole lights, equipment for laying conduit under and above ground, to rewiring and replacements. They have it all. This company is terrible! First off person who was suppose to come give a quote for quite a bit of work never showed up and never called. Two days later I was finally able to make contact with the company and they apologized and set a time for the next day. The employee came out to give us a quote and asked my wife why we didn't call any electricians in Clay County for the quote it was an easy job. He acted like he didn't even want to do the work. Now it's been at least 2 weeks since he came out and we still have yet to get the quote even after calling twice to see what happened. Don't ever use this company they are horrible!!

We had Birkett Electric out today to take down and install new ceiling fans and to diagnose a strange electrical problem. Thankfully it was not a serious problem but it reminded me how confident we are in their skills and services.  We have relied on them for years for all things electrical and they have done amazing work.  They are on time, professional and always do a great job.  We love how they value their customers and that they are a family run
business.

The answer to a home owner's prayers!

For those who've spent too long in the Construction Contractors from Hell zone, know that relief is in sight.  Pleasant people who do great work DO exist!

I was at my wit's end after a months-long struggle with another electrician who never completed the work he was contracted (& paid) to do.  Then someone suggested Birkett Electric.  Ms. Birkett listened sympathetically as I told her of my struggles, missed deadlines, & my head being about to explode.  The *next day* (!!!) they were on-site, on-time & had completed EVERYTHING on my To Do List in a few hours for an extremely reasonable hourly fee.

Here's the work they zipped through:

-Hanging & leveling a large light fixture from an angled ceiling
-Mounting a delicate glass globed vanity light & an exterior sconce
-Rewiring multiple light switches that the previous electrician had wired incorrectly
-Placed safety plates over unused light switches
-Wiring a new water heater
-Identified & corrected several electrical issues I was unaware of (for example:  the fuse box needed blanks for safety)

Highly recommended.

Just had 2 lights installed on our track lighting- Mickey was very courteous and professional and competent and did the job very well. The price was very fair and we are very satisfied. We have finally found a good electrician in our area and recommend them very highly-try Birkett-you will not be disappointed!!!!!

The appointment was for 8:20 and Mickey arrived at 8:20 on the dot.  Fast, efficient and reasonable.
