HISTORY
Established in 1957.
Babe's Plumbing, Inc. & Fire Sprinklers was founded by M.M. Babe Dalton in 1957. Even after over 60 years, Babe's is still family-owned and operated. Currently, Babe's son Joe is the owner and manages the company with his three sons, Joe Jr. (Contract Plumbing), Ryan (Fire Sprinklers), and Josh (Plumbing Service).
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Joe serves the community as President of Babe's Plumbing, Inc. and as an active member of the community. He is a local business advocate, board member of local non-profit organizations, and member of multiple service groups. He brings more than 30 years of plumbing experience to serve in all areas of plumbing and fire sprinkler needs. He believes in good work, done right and affirms Babe's slogan good work is not cheap, cheap work is not good. When he isn't working, he enjoys time with his wife of 43 years, four children, and eleven grandchildren.

Arrived timely and professional. But overcharged big time. 640 dollars to run take off 2 toilets and run a line. 3 hrs, no parts and use of their line to clear pipes. Told me about 500 and I had to leave. Charged my wife 640
Called and no reply back to my complaint. Flo-tech out of North Port came and fixed the real problem for 210. Never again with Babe's
We had 3 new toilets and a new comfort system installed and Babe's did an excellent job. Tony was very courteous and professional. He explained everything very well and made sure everything was working good and that we were satisfied with all work before he left. We will definitely use Babe's for all future plumbing needs.
I have had occasion to call Babe's twice in the last week and both times they sent technicians who were efficient and friendly. I cannot give them enough stars for their help during the crazy time surrounding my father's death. Thank you, Babe's!
I am so happy to have called this place for a clogged drain. Not only did the technician (plumber) called Craig arrive at the exact appointment time (a real rarity in Florida), but he did a great job in repairing and unclogging what needed to be done. Since my house was built in 1981 it's surprising that I have not needed more replacements, but this time one of my sinks drain system was rusted out underneath and caused a problem. Craig got the required replacement, installed everything and I was extremely satisfied with his work ethic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!
They were in my area so they were asked to stop by and look at the kitchen sink plumbing for rust - they looked at it and said it was not rust - took 3 minutes and charged me $149.00- never use them again

I couldn't find a replacement for my bathtub spout at the Home Depot and Lowe's, or Ace Hardware stores. Where do you even start on Amazon? A helpful person at Kile's Ace Hardware suggested checking with Babe's. I went to their place off of Laurel Road east of I75. While this isn't the typical retail shop for DIYers, they were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and found the perfect replacement part. It was not in stock but didn't take long to get. A huge thumbs up!
Had sewer back up and Babe's was on site in 30 minutes. Excellent service and cleared blockage in 20 minutes.

Poor service by techs who were clueless about how to resolve the problem with the gas water heater. I was charged $199 for nothing except to flush the tank. After complaining to the person answering the phone they sent a second tech who was not any better. Both were lazy and all they had to do was call Rheem to resolve problem. A call to another plumber resolved the problem and I was correctly left out of the middle. If I could give them a zero rating if I could.
Thanks to Todd M's review, I called Flo-Tech after my horrible experience with Babe's too (see Google review for all the details) and was thoroughly pleased with their service. Good communications with the office, the plumbers arrived at the appointed time, had all the parts they needed on their truck, and got all the work done to install new plumbing fixtures, valves, and lines and completely clear the plumbing backup in all lines, at 1/3 Babe's cost.
On time and did a amazing job. We have a drain that we had been told was just old and would never drain correctly by other plumbers, after having it snaked. It was so bad I decided to have someone else look at it. Called Babes, very professional in the phone and got us an appointment right away. They had my drain running like new in less than 15 minutes. Definitely will be the plumbers we call and tell our friends to use!
Good work isn't cheap , and cheap work isn't good.
That's some saying they cane up with . Hope you don't need their services on a weekend as their high priced services get even more astronomical . A simple fix like shaking out a clogged drain could run you in the 500 smackers vicinity .
There's the old joke where a doctor calls a plumber for a fix at his house . Afterwards the plumber hands the doctor the bill - the doctor looks at it amazed . Hey! That's a lot of money - and I'm a doctor ! He says . I know, says the plumber - I used to be a doctor .
Hahaha. How do you tell a good plumber ??

Babe's fixed a leak coming from my water meter line. They did exactly what they said.
Plumber arrived on time and performed a flush and ignition rod cleaning on my 3 year old tankless water heater. Price was $234. Worked ok for 10 days then on Saturday afternoon no hot water. On Sunday I called Babes and got on call plumber Mike. He could not come out with a hefty service call and suggested I call early on Monday. I agreed and asked if he might have any tips I could try. He did, so I tried that andthe unit began to heat water. I called him back to thank him. I also called the office this week and they saw no need to send out a plumber without charging for a service call. I declined So maybe we won't have a further issue. Mostly positive review you decide.
