Ark Plumbing Service

I am going to amend my review a little. I spoke with the owner of the company and was able to get some clarification. At the end of the day, the technician basically quoted a job that was beyond his scope of expertise. The company did offer to do the job for the price that was quoted however I had already chosen a different company to complete the work. I do appreciate the conversation I had with the owner and will certainly consider them for future needs.

I called them to have an inspection done to troubleshoot a bad sewer line. They quoted an $80 service charge to come to the house. That seemed reasonable as everyone's time is worth something. The technician arrived and introduced himself as the field supervisor with decades of experience. After a brief inspection and conversation he recommended that they use a camera to inspect the line (which I already knew was needed and indicated to them on the call that I was requesting the line be inspected with a camera) He said if I approve the cost of the camera service he would waive the $80 service charge. He quoted the camera inspection at $600 (which seemed kind of high at the moment), however, also indicated that that cost would be credited towards the cost of the actual repair if authorized. To wrap my head around the $600 and BEFORE I committed I asked him hypothetically what the cost would be to replace the section of sewer line and was quoted $3000 plus tax. As I anticipated this amount, I agreed to the $600 camera fee and he began his diagnosis. After about 30 minutes he confirmed what I already knew and told me what needed to be done. A 20'-25' section of the sewer line needed to be replaced. The conversation included a confirmation of the amount needed to repair the line. I agreed to the $3000 and told him let's get it going. All was good and he was calling the office to get us scheduled for the sewer line repair. This took about 20 minutes and then he came back over to go over the estimate. He then told me that the repair was going to be 12K-15K because they would have to hire a mini-excavator to dig a portion of the trench (4-6' deep) Obviously this seemed extremely high. How did we go from a $3000 quote from your field supervisor to 12K-15K? The $600 camera fee and service were agreed upon based on the $3000 estimate that was given. So now that I am questioning the costs and where the extra 9-12K in costs are coming from he said he must now collect the $600 camera fee since I am declining the work. The authorization of the camera fee was based on the initial quote of $3000. I would NOT have agreed to the camera fee if I was told this repair was anywhere north of 5K. I agreed to the camera service based on the initial estimate.

Would not disclose a quote or the fact that they would be charging me $80.00 just to show up and tett me it would cost me $300.00 TO RUN A SNAKE IN THE PIPE 1 PIPE -15FT MAX.

Loved that they answered the phone when called.  Especially since several other companies were non responsive. The service man arrived within the timeframe established. The plumbing problems were resolved. The price had a extra $150 bounty but it was 11pm and the only toilet and shower in the house needs to work while the other is bathroom is being renovated.Thanks again.

Ark plumbing was very good. The phone was answered by a friendly person. Miguel was on time & a pleasure to have in my home. He is a very component plumber & had everything he needed to complete the job.

Ark came to my house, looked at my problem of low water pressure and recognized that I need a pump/well specialist instead of a plumber.

They referred me to a pump/well specialist​ and didn't charge me for the service call.  

I didn't use Ark last week, but I'll be using them in the future.  They earned a customer and a fan last week.

when you fail your D I Y plumbing attempt, they are there. do NOT hesitate to call them, and even better, wait if you have to for them !

well worth letting them fix you up, cause they build the service business with every person they serve. truly fair pricing, ( i say they can't be beat ) best quality and respectful, compassionate, accurate, honest, and thus professional.

i didn't have an emergency, which most plumbing can be. just turn OFF the water main and wait for these guys. they know what people are telling other people about them, and the reputation they keep. these are the guys that run the bad plumbers outta town ! now how DID all those things get in the toilet ?

they were very professional. fixed the problem and also checked for a reliable price. luis went out of his way to make sure everything was all right. they are the best plumber I have had so far

We called and spoke with the receptionist, who said they had someone in our area, Kyle Slaughter, and that when he was finished with that job, he was available to come over. He came in and said he is taking all steps to find out where the blockage is. He said he could not find it and that he is going to have to remove a toilet and snake it! He then gave us a quote of $645 he took three pictures on his phone added it to our quote. Desperate, we said go ahead and proceed even though after pricing around that was a high quote!

When it was time for him to remove the toilet, he never turned off the water to the house. He also removed the toilet with out H-VACing, the toilet first. You can probably imagine what happened next!! Yup he flooded our entire house!!! Up until that point we hadn't had any spillage or water on our freaking new wood floors( only two weeks in).

This water is considered contaminated water also known as BLACK WATER( you know what the Black stands for). Immediately he runs out to my wife and says do you have towels, the toilet is over flowing! ( we have him on camera saying this, as we have several cameras in my home and outside my home). Without skipping a beat she gives him the towels but then realizes how bad the situation really is! Our hole closet and bathroom was filled with BLACK WATER!! He didn't even think to tell us our shoes and files were now drenched and destroyed! Not to mention when he removed the toilet from the master bathroom this also made the kids bathroom over flow as well due to the pressure of not turning the water off! So now we have two huge messes!

Do you know he was so freaked out by what he had done he left our house in a panic!! He said he went to get towels from LOWES!!  Who does that!! My wife calls me saying things have just gotten far worse than expected, but I never thought that!! He returned an hour later, acts as if nothing happened finds the blockage, it drains!! He tells us it was roots growing in our pipes and that he will need to put a camera down and scope to see where it is, but he can't do it today because someone else has the camera( the truth is he was trying to leave ASAP because of all the damage he just caused)... but he will clean up the water and schedule a time to scope the pipes.

Do you know, his version of cleaning up the BLACK WATER was using the towels from Lowe's. I say this because every plumber we have called since this situation has happened to us says, he definitely handled this horrifically! He left our home without scheduling the scope for the plumbing, and did not give us any guidance on all the the NOW BLACK WATER soaking through our floors and spreading through the rooms of the entire house!!

He left our house hoping we didn't notice the BLACK WATER sponging through the the floor as we walk!!

Skipping many more details and getting to the point! Ronnie the owner(won't disclose his last name for whatever reason) but has refused to help us in anyway even with the video footage of him saying he has made the mistake of not turning the water off or H-VACing the water out. He should be using his insurance to help us! Instead he has placed the blame on us! Even though we have all the video footage!! Kyle took more pictures after the quote was complete to try and say the damage was done prior. What he didn't know was that each photos had a time stamp and the later photos were taken nearly two hours later!! Thats how conniving he was. THANK GOD FOR THE VIDEO FOOTAGE!!

If you have hung on this long to this review, I'm sure your wondering the out come!! We had to get our home insurance involved because he has simply refused to help us or work with us!! Don't worry we are covered and will be going after his insurance as soon as we take care of the damage he now created!! Still to this day
February 1, 2021, we have industrial air dryers in our home. They will have to cut our walls two feet up in our entire home and remove the floors and replace them. A far more intricate job than just H-VACing a toilet and turning off the water main!!

I have waited since January 18, 2021, to type this review as I didn't want to give a review based on anger. I also wanted to give time for them to rectify the situation which they haven't! I consider myself to be a good honest person of the law as I am in law enforcement and I do not have clouded judgment due to frustration or anger.

Do not use this company!! Beware!!  No one deserves to be treated this way!! You have been warned!! When dealing with plumbing issues you need someone you can trust and give you fair prices not rip you off in times when your at your lowest!! They don't deserve any Stars!! They charged us to flood our entire home!! Direct message me, if you need help finding someone you can count on!! We have NOW found a wonderful plumber who we recommend (review soon to come!) who has now fixed the original issue and was a pleasure to work with!!

Would most definitely never use this company again.  Had a water leak via a toilet - they charged me nearly $350.00 just to change out the flap in the tank and another part (can't recall the name).  I know for a fact - that I could have nearly replaced the entire toilet with all new parts for not a whole lot more than what they charged me.  Then when he was done and gone - after a couple of flushes, the toilet stopped flushing completely.  We have a particular reason why this was rather serious - because a disabled member of our family can't walk any further than the location of this particular commode in relation to the bedroom - so it was kind of a big deal.  Yes, I called them to come back out asking that they please send a different technician, the woman on the phone assured me several times that they would send someone else. Sure enough - according to the gate staff - they sent the same guy - his name was written on the gate entry.  He never did show up at the house though as they must have realized they goofed by sending the same guy - so instead, they played some weird game, calling me on the phone and allowing him to pose as the owner of the company - who wanted to allegedly help me over the phone.  This after waiting from 10 a.m. -
1 p.m. for a different technician to show up - who never did show.  They figure people don't work away from home I guess, and we just have time on our hands to sit and wait for nothing - no resolve - nothing - - - just a huge waste of my time when I needed to be in the office today to address some issues - - - - forces me to have to contact another plumber to find out what went wrong - - - because although there had been a small leak from the toilet tank - the toilet used to flush just fine, now it doesn't.

We ran into an issue that I thought I could fix with a little help from the internet; however, after I hit a roadblock - Yelp was the next step. Ark was the first result, and after a quick glance at the reviews I felt confident to make the call and get some professional help. The whole process was quick and efficient. Even though it was the worst case scenario, Larry was knowledgeable and explained what happened and why. Strongly recommended.

Quick and fast service. Miguel did an excellent job. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because of the price. I understood that the $80 fee would be part of the total but it was added to the total cost. $367 for 20 minutes work seems a bit high I'm my opinion.

Talk about price gouging and then they came back and did a terrible job for which they charged again.  Had to get another company  to do the job and they weren't much better and also charged an exorbitant price and had to make them come back and fix damage they did.  Difficult to find a good, honest and fair priced plumbing company.  Not sure any exist.

We were texted the name & picture of our tech when he was on the way. He quickly found the cause of the leak and after giving us the cost quickly repaired it. Whenever he talked with us he had his mask on & respected social distancing both of which were very important to us. We are very happy with this service & would definitely recommend.

Mark was awesome. Easy to schedule with (and reschedule on my side). Our new faucet (provided by us) and garbage disposal (provided by them) look fantastic and work great!

Happy they were able to show up, and quality of work was as expected but very unhappy with their pricing. We didn't make an emergency call... this was scheduled service. They charged $550 to snake 1 drain (shower) and install a toilet that we purchased and placed at the installation site. No extensive time, supplies, or heavy lifting was required to complete the tasks. I feel this job should have cost $300 maximum.

Great experience! Would highly recommend! Customer service was very quick to respond to my questions/requests for an appointment, and scheduling was easy. I received a text message with a photo of the technician, Jacob, shortly before my appointment. Jacob arrived precisely when promised, greeted me at the door, and listened to the issues going on with our plumbing. He got right to work and addressed our issue quickly. After explaining what the issue was, he answered every question I had with patience and great detail. I will definitely be using Ark again for all my plumbing needs and will specifically be requesting Jacob!

The company was responsive to my concerns about how the job was completed. I give much credit to that and to the professional handling of this matter by Jasmine, the owner and Kyle, the guy who came out and resolved the issue. There'll often be problems, but the willingness of persons to be reasonable and to provide a quality service after the job is completed and they've been paid makes all the difference. These guys will do just that. They care about their reputation.

Yelped for a needed plumber and came across Ark. The response time to schedule an appointment was prompt and the customer service rep was very pleasant. The technician Jacob was very easy going and knowledgeable. He was able to fix our issue with ease and the charge was manageable. I would def recommend Ark and Jacob for future needs.

Contracted to perform a whole house remodel in Poinciana.   My plumbers wouldn't make the drive to Poinciana.  Quess what........ARK Plumbing is now my go to plumbing company.    I am so fortunate to have found them!  They are polite, clean, knowledgeable, on time, professional and understand the mechanics of a whole house remodel.  
I have read quite a few negative reviews on here.........you get what you pay for.   I have worked along side many plumbers.   Mark, the  Technician Tom sent to my job is second to none!!   To retain these top notch employees you have to pay them very well.   Trust me, I know!  
Some of these reviews are written out of pure ignorance of the cost of doing business these days.  (in my opinion).  To perform a small job you still need the same truck, use the same tools, load and unload the truck, burn the same amount of fuel, pay all your taxes, pay your employee, drive to and from job which sometimes keeps that employee from making five times as much on a larger job.  You should thank your lucky stars there are licensed professionals willing to take on the small jobs.  You can always find an unlicensed, uninsured, non tax paying handyman!!  Only problem is when he gets hurt he owns your house or he destroys your house and is never seen again.  
This is the first job ARK Plumbing has worked with my company on and it certainly won't be the last.   Their prices are more than fair for the professionalism you get in return.

These guys showed up unstopped toilet found were the blockage was in system and didn't show back up for over 3 weeks to start project. Left the toilet uncooked after putting back together and lost the two cover for the screws. Once started didn't finish left yard in complete shambles and didn't care! came back 3 days after digging trench with machine put in new drains nice job then used bob cat to fill in ditch and tore up rest of yard not just we're they dug trench! Left all bush's out of ground to die! Broke sprinklers in 3 area and didn't even think about fixing! Would not recommend them at all!

Leaky faucet on the outside of the house and leaky tub faucet. Ark had the best quote, fastest response, and without a doubt will be the first guys i call.

Ark Plumbing is a wonderful company! Responded to my inquiry so quickly and sent someone out within hours! Their appointment fee is steep $80 to come out, but considering a gallon of gas is so high and you're paying for someone's time I understand. What I truly liked was that they text you when the plumber is on the way along with a picture! I felt super safe! Paul was so nice and saved us a ton of money!!! I definitely recommend!!!

We just had Chris, from Ark Plumbing, out to replace a leaky shower. He was everything we were looking for - prompt, honest, and very competent. We will absolutely call them with any other problems.

I had Ark come to my home to replace my kitchen faucet and disposal. I purchased new faucet and disposal so all Ark had to do was install them. The tech was very polite and looked over what had to be done and then said the install would be more than $800! That's to just install a faucet and disposal! I told tech that the price was outrageous. I can't speak to quality of work but wouldn't recommend Ark due to what I consider inflated prices!

So glad we decided to use this company. We had a leak in our garage, coming from our water heater. Extremely professional group, and excellent service. We highly recommend them to anyone.

I just bought a manufactured home in Davenport two months ago. I was told from an inspection done prior to purchasing that it needed to have the poly pipes under the house AND the water heater replaced so I contacted this company a full month prior to coming here for a bid on both. The bid came in at $3810 which compared to others sounded good so I hired them. In the bid, it is stated that there would be a permit pulled on the job, which is important to me. It is sometimes needed for Homeowners Insurance or to back a claim. It is also important to future buyers.  I finally came here two weeks ago and after a week I had no hot water so needed that done immediately. When I called to get that done I was told that was NOT included but would be another $1633. I thought that was high but, ok,  I paid that, too. There were two drains that needed to be replaced and we agreed on yet ANOTHER $275 and after they started they told me they do not normally work on manufactured homes and so could not get the parts from their supplier to finish so  I drove and got the parts for them myself (one hour each way).   When I got the kit, it was missing a part, (or it got lost under the house IDK)  so I had to drive ANOTHER 1.5 hours to another supplier to get that, too over the weekend. (Why do they accept the big money jobs when they know they will not be able to service me in the future on small ones?) I then asked that they finish screwing in the drain after I got the part and Tom wanted MORE money for that, too! Just to finish the job!!! So I asked where the permit was AGAIN and he said it wasn't needed and if I wanted one I would have to pay ANOTHER $350 for that even though the proposal clearly states it is part of the bid. Enough is enough! I said NO to any MORE money! Two weeks later and I still do not have a permit so I contacted the County and they are going to handle it. I felt bullied the entire time for more money. I think it is because I am a Senior woman and alone and it was very intimidating to me to go through this. It was hard for me to fight for what is right when being threatened about being recorded as to what was said. Yes, that card was pulled, too.  I just wanted the jobs done for a fair, agreed-upon price.  I did send an email to the Owner Ronnie but he has not reached out to me. Since he seems to answer these reviews, (if it's him)  I hope he does contact me now. Both the repipe and water heater NEED a permit per the County and they know that. The truly sad part is, I wanted to establish a relationship with a plumbing company for the future. Now I spent all that money and will have to start cold with another company.

Recently had Ark's come out to look at a clogged toilet. They quoted $185 service call to clean out the line. That didn't work, so they wanted another $250 to remove the toilet and go through the line from there. They removed the toilet and said that there was a problem with the vent, and it would be another $1000 or more to repair it. At that point, I declined to spend any more. A few days later, had another plumber remove the toilet, and found the wax ring was not installed properly, and was smashed. He also found the cause of the clog, a huge bottle cap hanging out the bottom of the toilet.
I called Ark's and the agreed to deduct the additional $250 charge, but would not reduce the original $185 charge. I had to pay another plumber to fix their mistake. Please see attached pictures which show what the second plumber found. Has been working fine since then.

One of my tenants in a rental home with a well called me and said the water stopped running. I looked on yelp for well repair services. Ark Plumbing had 5star reviews. I called them and asked if they service wells.  She said they did and sent out a technician right away.  He was there within an hour and found that the water had started running again. He explained that they really don't do well repairs and suggested calling a well repair specialty company.  Since he was in the area anyway and nothing he could do,  he did not charge me the normal $80 service charge. I would certainly recommend them for regular plumbing issues and repairs.

The techs showed up on time, their prices were way too high. Got the job done elsewhere for 1/3 of the price.

We called Ark plumbing after our go to plumbing company was busy Friday. Let's go back to the beginning...we went on Yelp in search of a good plumber in our area. When we came across ARK we were impressed. We dialed the number and immediately was answered by a calming pleasant voice. The receptionist was very pleasant and accommodating. Had someone on their way from Davenport in route to us. We said heck yeah let's do it. Bryan came over fast! Like Jimmy Johns speedy type of fast! Lol. He rang the doorbell and introduced himself. He spoke with my husband and he went out back to assess the situation. After further review he told us to contact an electrician to resolve the issue. As everything with the plumbing aspect was in good shape.

I stand by my original assessment in that your technician told my wife that the elements were bad.  This was  incorrect. It was a simple matter of the thermostats being tripped. I conceded in my review that this unit is old and will need replacement soon but that is not what the issue  is.  Your tech could have easily gotten the hot water working by pressing 2 reset buttons. We likely would have used you for the replacement when we were ready to move forward with it but not after that.  Have a nice day.

Price was outrageously high... Plumber replaced a faucet that I bought. Took only 30 minutes but I was charged $359. Plus an additional $80 for the service call visit where he told me to buy a new faucet. One reason I chose this faucet is they advertise the spray arm always retracts properly. It didn't. Plumber informed me there was a pipe in the way and that's not my fault. That's not my problem. There's nothing I can do. When I pointed out that everything under the sink was plumbing and he's a plumber he said I'd have to charge you extra to fix it. When I pointed out that I hired a professional plumber and that he approved the faucet I purchased and gave the estimate to fix it he replied you're right. I knew I was right but I've now paid over $800 including the price of the faucet for a faucet that doesn't properly retract.

Good company love their trucks. Would use them on any of my jobs thanks guys. On time and honest pricing.

I didn't actually get to use their services because I cancelled my service before they could get to me. I ended up fixing my problem myself, it was something simpler than I thought. So this recommendation is strictly for their phone team and customer service. They were so sweet and made me laugh while I was freaking out. They handled everything professionally and quickly to help when I was panicking, they even made me feel better when I was on the verge of a panic attack. So I can't comment on their actual service but their customer service was top notch!

From the folks that answer the phone to the plumbers that come out to your house, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.  I appreciate good customer service and service providers who get the job done and don't mind answering all our questions. We have used Ark Plumbing since moving to our home in Florida and shall continue to do so. Keep up the good work.

Had some issues with a clogged toilet, thought it was fixed after first visit and it wasn't. They came out and did not charge me for the second visit and found a builder issue that caused things to get clogged. Excellent work and happy with my service. Thank you for following through on your work!

They gave a phone quote, stuck by the quote and finished on schedule for replacing my drain field. I have also used them twice for septic pump outs and found pricing among lower of bids. They tend to get out quick to do the work.

We were in a bind. Our gas line had eroded and the home inspector (we were selling our house) is the one who discovered it.

Immediately we called the gas company who said that they could not change the pipes and we would have to contact a plumber. Over lunch break I was able to call 6 plumbers and scheduled appointments to receive a quote.

ARK plumbing was able to have a technician to us in the matter of a few hours. Being cautious I ensured I received more then one quote I waited to receive a quote from a few plumbing companies. Needless to say ARK provided the most reasonable price (by far).

Ronnie performed the work and was polite and professional. He took the time to explain what he was doing, how the issue occurred and how to avoid it in the future.

I can't recommend this company enough. I had water from an irrigation system pouring on the side of my house (6 hours). I didn't know how to shut it off.  I called on a holiday and they came out right away and stopped the water from flowing. The. Sucked out all the water from the unground irrigation holders. Great price, professional, and fixed the problem.

Another extortion based plumbing company. I have a stock job...not an unknown repair. I need my kitchen sink hooked back up after it was replaced. Said they'd call for a consultation. On the phone there was no consultation, they use it to tell you that they'll send a tech out for $80 to give you a quote. And the $80 only gets wiped out if you buy their services. Meaning they can charge you whatever they want because they know you don't want to lose $80. This is extortion.

Phone was answered quickly and professionally, someone was available within hours and I was given an estimated time of arrival. Tech was an hour later than originally estimated, but he was in contact to give me the new estimated time. It took every foot of the drain snake he had to get my clog, but he didn't give up until it was done. Pleasant, down to business and good at not making any more mess than required. All I could ask for in a plumber.

From the initial request communication was exceptional. Larry arrived on time, was extremely professional and provided the most practical solutions. Highly recommended.

I had an unfortunate experience with Ark plumbing.  The company was honest with its initial costs for diagnosis of the problem but it was exorbitant ($200.00), along with the cost of installing a part that was misdiagnosed. The technician appeared to not have experience with a tankless water heater and deferred to the manufacturer for advice.  We had to wait additional days for an incorrect part, which did not solve the issue. Rust and water that present on the unit made it clear that it had a leak for an extended period that would've immediately deem it defective. After paying $375 for installation of the wrong part, we were told that we would have to pay an additional $425 for installation of a brand new unit that was free under warranty.  We thought those installation charges were outrageous after already investing a total of  $575 in a defective, warrantied unit. We waited more time for the new water heater to arrive. We weren't notified of the new tanks arrival, and had to call to find out that it had arrived, and was then given an appointment for TWO days out. Needless to say that this extended our time without hot water to two whole weeks. All the while waiting and being told that we had to pay more money for a problem that a professional plumber did not catch. This was unacceptable. The manager of the plumbing company did not appear concerned about our inconvenience as customers.  He was more concerned about his worker getting paid for additional service calls than providing quality customer service. He refused to admit and accept their role in the misdiagnosis that they profited $375 from. He did not represent the company well. My husband and I found a fast, affordable and competent plumber elsewhere. (We paid half of what Ark planned to charge for installation)

On Dec. 24th our kitchen faucet stopped working completely. We had no water coming out of the faucet regardless of the handle position. I began to call various plumbing companies for assistance and because of the holiday everyone I called was booked. As a last resort I tried ARK Plumbing and Septic in Clermont, FL. They responded to me within 20 minutes of my call. The lady on the phone was easy to talk to. When I explained my situation she told me that she could have a technician at my residence within 2 hours to look at my problem. The technician showed up as scheduled and sent me a text beforehand that he was on his way. After looking at my problem he suggested that I go to a home improvement store and purchase a new faucet which I did. The technician had to cut my old faucet out do to rust and corrosion underneath my sink. He removed and replaced my faucet with no other issues. Service was great and the technician was easy to deal with.

DO NOT HIRE ARK PLUMBING! Their tech flooded my kitchen, caused over $14k in damages, and they refuse to respond to communication. It's been over a year, and I'm now filing a complaint with the state licensing department.

This is my second experience with Ark Plumbing Service and once again they did a great job.  Donovan showed up greeted me with high energy and a firm handshake.  Everything he said he would do, he did.  He was efficient with his time and got the job done quickly.  I highly recommend Donovan and Ark Plumbing to anyone needing high quality service at a fair price.
