A little pricey but they did what needed to be done.  Called me before they arrived. Arrived early in a 4-hour window (8-12p window; he showed up at 8:15a). Fixed a leak in our humidifier that we paid another company to and didn't actually fix. Set-up our Nest thermostat. Was in and out in about 30m. Mike was amazing and responsible during these Covid times (showed up in a face mask and shoe booties). He definitely knew what he was doing and was informative and nice.

My furnace was acting up so I called a couple of companies to get estimates. Tuckers estimator went through all my options and after getting two other estimates I decided to go with them. This company is amazing to work with. I was also able to get a 15 year warranty.

I had a new system installed earlier this year and the salesman and installers were great.  However, I did have a problem with the dampers later in the year and I called them back to come out and take a look.  The technician came on time but was unable to fix the problem.  He said he would call me back after he researched the problem.  After a week, I called him but that call was never returned.  I called again to speak to a manager but that call also was not returned.  Had to resolve the problem myself. I guess when you are paying the big dollars Tucker's will be accommodating, however, when it comes to service, if it isn't an easy fix then you are on your own.  I hate to think what is going to happen should I need major service on the unit itself and I need to call Tucker's because they did the install.

We have been using Tuckers for close to 15 years for getting occasional maintenance on our AC, furnace, and fireplace and have always been happy. We never felt overcharged and always found technicians to be knowledgeable, respectful and friendly.
For the last few years we have signed up for their USA Membership which provides annual maintenance for a/c and furnace plus discounts on any needed repairs. We've never felt pressured into any sales situation, in fact, recently being told our 20+ year old builder-grade furnace was still in great shape.
We recently decided to replace our entire furnace/ac system on our terms before we had a problem due to their age. Tuckers provided estimates and answered questions. We have made a huge upgrade in the quality and efficiency of our system and benefit from 0% financing.
Installation (including installing a new return and vent) was done in a single day with no mess left behind. All old materials were removed. Service was friendly and respectful (working from home during Covid they offered to wait for my Zoom meeting to end before using power tools in the room).
Prices are a bit higher than I'd like, but I am comfortable paying more for a company that has earned my trust over the years.

I called Tucker's as we had a major leak in the basement. The office staff is responsive, warm, and caring. Plumbers Justin and Gene showed up on time, spent considerable time here repairing the leaks in the crawl space, and even more time fielding my many questions. They could not have been nicer. Very professional yet warm and caring. And no mansplaining! They thoroughly explained what happened, why, and how to fend off similar problems in the future. So we are big fans of Tucker's and eternal customers!

Great service!

Tuckers responded quickly to getting an air-conditioning unit fixed, so that my clients could go forward with the sale of the property.

Once they arrived at the property, there was a problem with access. They waited for me to arrive.  They promptly fixed the unit and I paid less than what I anticipated.

I look forward to using them again.

I called Tuckers to get an estimate on my Heating and Cooling system.  I could not believe the price that they were quoting for an Amana  System.  It was just a heat pump system in a townhouse not too complicated.  They are trying to push a low grade product at a higher than market price.  I found local companies installing name brand  equipment for cheaper and I am glad I got multiple bids.

I realize that the employee that came to the house does not set the prices and is doing his job and I would have used them if it not been for the price and grade of product.

I was really hoping to use them as they are a local small business and I like to support small business.

Have used them a couple of time service has been good and timely.  As for pricing sometimes seems high but both time we need service were emergencies so not sue if that the issue.

Tuckers HVAC and Amana products are both horrible. We just had our system inspected on 8/22 and everything look(ed) great. We have had the system for 3 years and a major component has needed to be replaced in 2 of those years.
We have needed fix after fix after fix. The furnace was wired wrong. The humidifier isn't talking with the system. Motherboards have been replaced. The surge protector they installed on the compressor may blow up on you (this one was from my inspection on 8/22/16). My wife and I have probably missed over 10 days of work so they can fix the mess they installed in the first place.
Oh, and the $230/year warranty... They would have replaced the blow up surge protector for $30. A faulty part they installed 3 years ago and they won't just fix it when I am paying for a warranty.
My wife and I are beyond disappointed.

We used Tuckers to have a new AC/heat pump installed in our home.

Excellent service. The sales consultant Dan was attentive and helpful throughout the quoting process. The price was very reasonable and they cut a new supply/return duct at no extra charge.

The installers showed up right on time and worked straight through the day and finished by 5. They were polite and neat and left no mess.

A few months after installation I reached back out to the company for assistance filling out the Potomac Edison HVAC rebate form. They were prompt and helpful, registering as a vendor with the energy company and giving me all of the information to complete the form.

We had Tucker's install a new HVAC system in 2007 and have used them for service ever since. They worked hard to get our business in the beginning, getting th eprice down and explaining a lot along the way. Since then, service has been regular and we've been happy.

More recently we've had excellent service. When the cap came off the furnace flue on our roof (later replaced by chimney company), a bird fell in and we could hear it in the furnace room. Animal control couldn't get here until after the bird died, and were going to charge us $400 to take apart the furnace and get the bird out. So we called Tucker (trusted them to do it more than Animal control!!) and it was under $90 (can't find receipt but know it was less than that) to take it apart, remove the bird, and clean out the debris. The technician was so helpful.

Just yesterday we had our regular service call for the AC. We had our 5th child this year and the weeds have gotten out of control in the yard - hadn't been to the side of the house where the unit is for a long time. When the tech went there he spent a long time clearing out weeds and cutting back shrubs for me. Didn't even tell me what he was doing until he was done. This was on a hot summer day. *Really* appreciated this!! I know it was not an easy job.

He also spent quite a bit of time changing the settings on the thermostat and explaining what he was doing - to get our upstairs more cool air. The top floor was comfortable when we went up in the evening for the first time in years. Thank you!!

GARBAGE. They sold us an expensive heater and they can't make it work. This is the 4th time they have tried to repair it. The temperature inside my house is 50 degrees. They are chatty and polite on the phone but they don't know how to do their job.

In two separate years, Tuckers replaced two of our HVAC systems & gas furnice with the full electric Daikin heat pump. The new systems have been running quiet and efficient. Tucker may not be the lowest cost contractor (and certainly not the most expensive either) but they arrived on-time with clear communication via email and phone. Peace of mind = priceless.

Note: They also provide plumbing service but I find their price to be above average. Recommend to hire them for HVAC install / repair.

Tuckers have come to my house a few times now, most recently for my boiler not working.  They were quick to respond, and came out the next day. Caroline (I think that is her name) was very sympathetic to my frustration of not having heat.

I had a different HVAC company come out the day before and they replaced the thermocouple but it still wouldn't stay lite.

Tuckers sent Drew who is their technician and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, polite and was able to diagnose the problem and I had heat that day.  My boiler is 50-60 years old and Tuckers have maintained it since 2004. The best part is that they didn't try to cram a new boiler system down my throat (they suggested it because  of efficiency) but no hard sale since the one I have still runs.  I also found them to be fairly priced.  I will continue to call on Tuckers, always a positive experience.

Update on my plumbing review of 12/9/16.  After a discussion with the owner, Ken Tucker, he admitted that they had fallen short on the plumbing service and agreed to refund the fee for their service contract.  Nobody's perfect, but I consider this the mark of a responsible company.
I would still recommend them for their HVAC service, which has been consistently good.

The technician showed up in the early part of the quoted window. He was polite and very friendly. A part needed to be replaced, which he had with him. The whole call took about 30 minutes and my AC was up and running that same day. On the hottest day of the summer, it was much appreciated.

I can't say enough good things about Tucker's. Every time we have any sort of problem they get someone out there immediately. It's almost always the same guy and he's terrific. We also have an annual plan with them, which is great.

Their technicians are terrific! They are polite, knowledgeable and hard working. They also wear shoe covers to protect my carpet, which I always appreciate. I've had a service contract with them for 14 years and it has saved me money on more than one occasion.

Tuckers did an excellent job replacing my old water heater and addressing our inlet pressure issue. Of all the 4.5+ places I contacted, they provided a concise estimate and came out to assess and replace it in quick time. They have great customer service (Becca) and the techs are very professional. Do not hesitate to have them come out, very happy to have a USA service plan with them.

Do not use this service if you want to get a fair price for what services you are getting.

We needed to replace some freon in our air conditioning and ended up getting charged $700 by the contractor that showed up and replaced a small amount of freon in our AC System. When pressed to justify these exorbitant costs, the manager adjusted the price. This is a dishonest practice and we will not be trusting Tuckers HVAC in the future if their contractors continue to behave abhorrently.

Date of service: Oct. 2015:  We hired Tuckers A/C Heating & Plumbing for a large, 3-system job in our home (1st floor, 2nd floor and sunroom). The net result was terrific and we highly recommend Tuckers. Our existing systems were still working, but more than 22 years old, extremely noisy, inefficient and expensive on the electric bill. We feared for being stuck in a bad position this winter. If you have ever been without heat in the dead of winter, or AC in peak summer, you know there is nothing like having the peace of mind that you and your family will be comfortable despite the elements outside. We love our new, highly efficient and quiet systems!  Feels great!

Special thanks to the main team Terry King, Lead Install Tech and Chris Sklencar, Install Tech and support team Justin Clipper, Plumber, Tom Suryadeth, Supervisor and Chris Fraley, Install Manager for an outstanding job installing 3 new Daikin HVAC systems.

It was not an easy job! They are true pros who did the right thing, and gave extra effort to fix previous problems in our home (difficult situations in the attic and sunroom subfloor). We appreciate their attention to detail, professionalism, and care for our home.

Thanks to Morgan Ward, our Tuckers Comfort Consultant, who worked within our budget and particular needs and made it all work; she made it effortless for us and acted as concierge for our $3,750 in BGE rebates.  

Everyone we interacted with at Tuckers has been a pleasure to work with and we will continue to use their services. With the three jobs, all completed within 7 days, there were several important details, change requests and punch list items to address, and all were done and buttoned up. Finally, the Daikin warranty and Tuckers included servicing plan are second to none.

Super job! On a 0-10 scale, we give them nothing less than a 10.

We hired Tucker's when we had a copper pipe leak. They did not determine the cause of the leak the night they came out. Cut the drywall in several areas and were wrong about the source of the leak. Came the following day and made the cuts to the drywall even bigger. Don't know why they did this as they already knew the leak was not in that spot. For being experienced plumbers I was not impressed. Quoted $1200 for repair saying they had to remove a vent pipe etc but actually did not end up doing that at all. Repair took a very short time. They ruined the back of the bathroom vanity and of course do not repair all the drywall they damage. They try to create the impression that they are the best and that the job is much more involved than it really is. I think they are dishonest and intentionally misleading. I will never hire them for plumbing again.

After taking time off of work for an in-home estimate, Tuckers tells us almost a week later that they are too busy to do the work. Unbelievable. A professionally run business would have realized they were too busy and never waisted the customer's time with an in-home estimate, which consumes an entire morning or afternoon when you include the arrival window.

All we wanted was for the our ducts to be sealed with mastic and reinsulated, since a previous contractor failed to seal all the joints. My husband had already done a good part of the project - removing all the fiberglass duct insulation. It's pretty simple. It's a DIY job, just time consuming, and work obligations do not allow us to commit the time. Obviously, there is not a good enough profit margin for Tuckers.They should have provided the quote, given us a start date, and let us decide if we wanted to accept their proposal. But they didn't even want to bother with a proposal.

On a side note, it took them only 45 min to respond to my negative review on Google. It took multiple e-mails and almost a week to respond to my request for the official estimate, which in the end, they never provided.

I found Tuckers on Yelp and after reading the reviews, decided to give them a try. I had a heating issue on a rental I own and am always skeptical about company's sending techs who want to write up estimates that include a lot more work than is really required. I had called the dispatcher and had discussed ahead of time that if the repairs were less than a certain amount, they should go ahead and do it and not call me for an approval. I then waited...to get a call...that my repairs would be a lot of $$$s and more than expected. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't get a call other than a confirmation from my tenant that the heat was back on and the tech performed the service. Got a bill in the mail a few days later identifying the fix, the cost of the repair and the diagnostic charge. Simple, efficient, hassle free. I will definitely use them again, they have earned my trust.

Unfortunately,  after their visite an envelope with $3.500.00 that was in my closet , in the shelf under my folded shirts  gone /disappeared ( I live in a top floor apartment and to get access to the eric to fix the pipe, they had to my closet in my bedroom ).

Everything about my experience with Tuckers was exceptional.  Jason Taylor (who was great) provided the service I had called about.  I have a Geo system, and he is very knowledgeable.  I won't hesitate to call them again.

Tuckers came recommended and I'm glad that they did. I contacted them last year to get a quote for a new AC unit. They honored the quote and in June 2022  put in a new AC .

They were Professional the entire process and I did call or email quite a few times since I live out of state now.  I had some questions after the installation and the owner called me and addressed all of them with me, that's customer service!!!

This review is specific to HVAC repair. Our AC system was not blowing out any cold air and we thought we'd need to replace the entire system. We initially called FH Furr to come do a diagnostic. They eventually determined that a part in our system was broken and that it would cost several thousand dollars to repair. Because our system was so old, they recommended a full replacement. We decided to get a second opinion with Tuckers.

They were able to arrive that same day. I told the technician the initial diagnostic from FH Furr. He than ran his own diagnostic and learned that it was not a broken part in our AC system but our thermostat was broken. He replaced our thermostat during the same visit. We now have functioning air-conditioning and didn't have to spend thousands upon thousands to replace it.

At the end of the day they were able to repair my AC system correctly and left me with working AC. The cherry on top is that they are less expensive than FH Furr.

I'm going to attach the letter I sent to Tuckers at the bottom of this review but in short:  When coming out to fix our air conditioning their technician broke our furnace main board and then left us to fix it under warranty by calling up another contractor.  

I would not recommend this company.

We called you out to service our Air Conditioning unit because it was not working. When we called you Thursday, July 25th, morning our furnace was working, and when we attempted to turn on our A/C unit it would make a clicking sound and the fan would advance a tiny bit. Your technician came out, diagnosed the issue as a bad contactor and replaced it. During the time your technician was present the furnace stopped working. Your technician claimed the circuit board was broken. He said that since the furnace was under warranty that we should call the original installer (another HVAC company) and they would likely replace the board for free. We were charged $39 for a service call diagnosis and $277 for a new contactor and despite paying $336 we were left in a worse spot than when your technician arrived.
At the advice of your technician we called up (another HVAC company) to repair the furnace's circuit board under warranty. (another HVAC company) 's tech came out he determined that the board on our unit was fried due to wires inappropriately hooked up out at the transformer where your technician had worked. They replaced the furnace board under warranty and the AC started working. At this point on Friday, July 26th, around noon, I received a call from a Tucker's parts supervisor (whose name I did not write down), I told him that (another HVAC company) was replacing the part but I had major concerns about the service I received and that I would be getting a call back from a service supervisor. As of the writing of this letter I have not gotten that call.
However, later that day (Friday) our AC failed again. When the technician from (another HVAC company) was able to come back on Monday he determined that the root cause of AC failure was a bad time delay relay. This relay was outputting low voltage to the contactor which caused it to make intermittent contact and eventually fry it. This caused the original contactor to fail and our AC to not work. So when your technician replaced the contactor the AC did start working until the time delay relay fried the new contactor. After removing the time¬delay relay and replacing the contactor again our AC is now working.

We have attached copies of your invoice, and pictures of the broken parts. Please respond back via phone or postal mail.

I've used Tucker's for several years - replaced my whole HVAC with a Bryant evolution hybrid system which they tuned to mostly eliminate awful cold spots in our rooms and have then sustained a regular maintenance contract with them. They're not necessarily the cheapest, but they're always professional and have done a great job. Today I tried their new plumbing service - turned out my drain line for the sump pump was frozen, complicated by difficult access to the drain line. Once agin I observe that they may not be the cheapest, but they were professional, courteous, timely, and thorough.

Besides the professionalism of their workers and quality utilities servicing, they provide the most ideal customer service you could ever ask for. Always prompt in responding, extremely caring and understanding staff. Genuinely want to do a good job for you and they will!

They service our entire building and came very highly recommended. When our air conditioning system started leaking, they came for an initial consultation the same day. They kept the visits to a minimum, only requiring one additional to inspect it (keeping the service charges down, again thinking of the customer) and then one day to replace it, on which they arrived exactly on time.
