Don was absolutely excellent in his workmanship. He's very professional and priced very reasonably for the service provided. Shop local and support small business!

We had Don from PHI Plumbing over to cap a gas line. I appreciated he took good safety precautions. He used the double wrench method when loosening our gas line. He used a sniffer to see if there was a gas leak at anything he manipulated.  He waited until our boiler got going again as he had to bleed some air from the line. He waiting with us to be sure our generator was running. The price was higher than I expected but he quoted it over the phone prior to the service call (none of that I'll tell you when I get there) and I accepted as we were in a time crunch due to another plumber not showing up. I would use Don again.

We needed a water heater replacement and received stupendous service from Don from start to finish.

When I contacted Don, he gave me a competitive quote right away and said he could perform the service same day. He was friendly, prompt and gave us a quote we couldn't pass up.

We had a leak which resulted in turning the water off. I called PHI Plumbing and they were able to get out to me as soon as possible. Don was great to work with and will definitely use him again if we need to!

Pros: Very quick to respond, and was out the very next day after a late afternoon call. His work was pretty good too despite our new house having a unique situation with the bathroom. Long story short, it was a flip with questionable choices. He was also polite and courteous for the most part.

Cons: Definitely overpriced. $425 to pick up and put in a new faucet and drain with caulking around the vessel sink with $25 up charge for his inconvenience at the store. He apparently struggled to find the faucet at Lowe's, so I had to pay extra for that....

Take away: PHI was pretty average I'd say. Nothing too bad really, nothing amazing either and for the premium price I definitely didn't get a premium service. At least not in my opinion. Dealt with far better plumbers in our old area of Broomfield that had a more reasonable price for more extensive work. If another plumbing need arises, I will probably shop around, PHI doesn't deserve repeated business.

Outstanding quality and service!  I called multiple companies to get a new toilet installed.  Every company said they were booked for weeks.  PHI came out 30 minutes after my phone call.  Don was quick and clean and we were back up and running in no time at all.  We will call PHI Plumbing for ALL of our future plumbing needs.  OUTSTANDING!!!!

Thank you fellow Yelpers. I have been in search of a good area plumber for a few months for our investment properties and decided to turn to Yelp. Don was pleasant to speak with, quick to schedule service, affordable and above all very experienced and knowledgeable. Definitely a Master Plumber. He was able to assess and resolve both our problems quickly.

I am grateful to have found him and look forward to doing business with him again when plumbing issues arise.

I am dumbfounded as to how this man has so many positive reviews. That's actually the reason I went with him, wish I hadn't. In fact, if you look on Nextdoor you will see some not so great reviews within posts asking for recs.

Had him come out for what should have been a simple leak from the kitchen sink. Visit was $120 or $140, I can't recall, and he literally did nothing. I'm not exaggerating when I say this. He couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from even though I had a bowl under the pipe and you could clearly see where it was leaking from. He was also so gruff and rude the entire time. A little bit of good customer service goes a long way, even if you own your own business. After doing NOTHING aside from tightening a few things that probably had nothing to do with the leak anyway, he left. The next day I could see that it was still leaking into the bowl, I didn't want to pay for a new person to come out so I was hoping he would back up his work and come out for free since he hadn't done anything before. He so kindly charged me, at least it was only $80ish, STILL couldn't find the source of the leak so he put some caulking or whatever he used on the pipes under the sink. Again, did nothing. I had AAA Plumbing come out and I swear to you the plumber with AAA diagnosed the leak within minutes. He fixed it and no leaks since!

It's laughable that this man calls himself a master plumber when he can't diagnose a simple leak that a real plumber found instantly.

I needed my water heater replaced ASAP. After receiving a highly inflated estimate from one company, I turned to yelp. PHI Plumbing had amazing reviews with many people praising Don. I gave him a call, and he was out within a couple of hours to provide an very fair estimate. My water heater was installed the next day. Don is professional, reliable and honest. He completed the work quickly. I'm happy to know I have someone to call for future plumbing needs!

Well, what can I say that my fellow Yelpers have yet to cover?  Here's my experience:

I have an older 1930's home, and needed to get the old galvanized pipe out of it, replacing it with the new PEX plastic piping solution.  I had a couple of bids from the bigger companies, and after describing the job to Don, and without even seeing what needed to be done, he told me that they were WAY over pricing the work.

I called on a Tuesday.  He was on the job Wednesday morning, and came in at about half of what the bigger shops had quoted for the job.  Couldn't be happier with the work, professionalism, and ability to knock out a project on short notice.

Great service.  Fixed water hammer issue I was having.  Pressure in my showers is also better.  I think price was reasonable enough to not seek another estimate.

Had a plumbing problem I could not fix.  PHI came out the same day and had it fixed in 2 hours.  The repair was good.  

WARNING--Get an estimate!!!! Don't assume current hourly plumber rates apply with PHI.  I paid $200.00 an hour for my repair.  This was not an emergency rate/job.

Came home to water in the basement ceiling and called PHI. They were here in less than an hour and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in less than two hours. This was much better service than from one of the big companies. I will definitely use PHI again. Friendly, efficient and professional.

Don was the first person I called because of the Yelp ratings, and I can tell you that he earned every star.

I had an emergency with a failed valve that feeds a swamp cooler in the attic.  To compound problems, the water main shutoff inside the house was frozen OPEN.  Even though I wrenched it closed as tightly as I could, it would not shut off.

After panicking and running around the house opening all the faucets including the outside hose bibs to allow pressure out, I ran to Home Depot to grab a pressure cap that I could apply to the first valve to stop the water.

It was while I was driving to Home Depot that I called Don, and he dropped EVERYTHING to run to my house and shut of the water main outside for me to stop the water.

An hour of work, and I have two brand new valves (and now I know I can shut off the water in an emergency.)

No damage, thank goodness, and Don didn't gouge me at all.  A very reasonable price, even though I had an emergency.

Really, he was a true professional, and I will honestly use him again in an instant (although I hope I don't have any more emergencies!)

I found PHI right here on Yelp and received the amazing services from Don that people consistently rave about.  Don is THE master plumber you want to hire!

I've had Don fix several issues at my house within the last few months, most recently having had a new water heater installed.  One day I'm talking to Don about the fluctuating water temperature in my house and pretty much right away I have a new water heater and a bunch of other things which Don noticed needed attention and handled immediately.

It's a pleasure to work with Don, you won't be disappointed.

Don was great. Called him at 830 in the morning to change a water heater a few weeks back. Was at my house by 10 and was done by noon. Very reliable and efficient! Definitely recommend!

Don reworked our kitchen sink, making adjustments to the plumbing hookups so that it would be easy to dismantle as needed during a remodeling project. He replaced soldered fittings with removable ones, replaced glued pvc with some that was easier to disconnect(during the next stage of our remodel). He also found a possible dishwasher drain backup issue and fixed that too (with our approval).

He made the changes we needed to move ahead with our remodel. We liked how he explained everything he was doing and the reason- as plumbing is new to us. He also showed us ways to completely empty the water lines- an obstacle we ran into on a DIY job previously.

His pricing was very reasonable, and especially for getting a master plumber with 20 years of experience! Whether you need help with your own do-it-yourself project, or just want it done- we recommend PHI Plumbing!

It's Saturday on a holiday weekend. I called several plumbers and sprinkler guys, no one was open. I called Don and he was at my house within about an hour.

I live in Reunion which is not typically within his service area but he happened to be going out to Henderson so he made the extra trip!

My main sprinkler pipe had become corroded and had possibly been frozen at one time. It was leaking like a faucet. He cut a new pipe and soldered it on right away. He was fast, friendly, and honest. His price was more than fair. I actually thought the cost would closer to double.

It was actually a very pleasant experience! He didn't try to up sell me or tell me I had other issues. I'm very happy Don made the trip for me! Now my mind is at ease and I can carry on with the holiday weekend!

Needed a new hot water heater ASAP.  Don came out in the evening, took down specs, and returned the NEXT morning with a new water heater and had it installed in about 90 minutes.  Gave us some tips, a great warranty, and a great price.  It was really nice dealing directly with a Master Plumber and not a just a tech representing a company.  Don's a keeper!

Don was prompt, helpful and did a great job installing a kitchen faucet and replacing a cartridge on a leaking bathtub faucet.  I felt his rates were reasonable, and I didn't feel we were overcharged for supplies.  He also worked with my schedule - I had booked a different plumber for service this morning and had scheduled today off to deal with it, but the plumber canceled yesterday, and I really needed this work done soon.  Don was available first thing this morning - It worked out perfect!

Had a late Saturday night leaking water heater, and called PHI early in the morning on Sunday. He helped me decide what I wanted installed, and gave me an accurate estimate over the phone. By Noon we had a new water heater installed at a fair price.

Short answer: PHI is amazing.  I will continue to use them for my plumbing needs and recommend them any chance I get.

Long answer:  I initially reached out to PHI for my condo in Westminster and wanted to use someone local.  This was for a troublesome shower leak and what compounded the problem was the ancient plumbing components.  PHI was responsive and followed through despite the hurdles.

The second time I used PHI was for an interior basement leak through the foundation.  Although not really their expertise, PHI did what they could to help and solved the problem.

Third time's the charm.  I reached out to PHI for my new house in Arvada.  The water heater was on it's last legs.  I did get a secondary quote but PHI was bar far the most competitive, responsive and flexible with my schedule.

I will continue to use Don and PHI for all my plumbing needs.

Don is great! He is professional and has a practical approach to fixing any plumbing issues. Prices are very reasonable and he stands behind his work. We have used him a few times and will continue to do so in our new home if anything comes up.

I used Don's services a few months back (11/17) and just didn't have time to write a review.

I just bought a townhouse that needed a lot of work. I used Don because he was highly rated on Yelp. I had him come out to give me some estimates on how much the repairs would be, if some of the repairs were even needed and also how much it would cost for some advice if I decided to wait on the repair or do it myself. He came out, told me his prices and was very patient while I took him through the number of different repairs. He fixed a few of the problems right on the spot and gave me estimates for the rest.

He was able to save us a lot of money by not ripping into the wall to see if we had a leak. We couldn't see any visible water damage. But we had a dripping type sound almost every time we took a shower and thought it might be a leak. He helped us troubleshoot it and recreate the problem by simply changing the water temperature. If we just used the cold water, the weird drip like sound never happened. It just happened when we turned it to hot and then it went away. Then we went into the garage where the sewer runs and the sound was much louder, but different. It sounded more like creaking/expanding pipes then it did like a leak. Then it became very apparent that is was not a leak. We had another company who was going to charge us $150 to scope the pipes.

Don also helped me fix my bathroom. I couldn't take a shower or bath because of a lot of leaks that I couldn't figure out how to repair. I didn't have the money to remodel it like I planned. I had other contractors give me an estimate on just getting it to work and they said I was going to have to rip out the wall to replace the fixtures and leaks. But, Don was actually able to fix them and even replace them with very nice brushed nickel fixtures without tearing into the wall. He even helped me recaulk my entire large tub with some quarter round to cover up some old bad repairs and replace my sink.

I won't go into the other repairs and advice. They were all great.

Don was very easy to work with, his work is professional because he pays attention to the details, he listened, he was sincere and honest, he gave me great advice and ideas, and saved me a lot of money. He even recommended some awesome restaurants since I am new to the area.

I've had bad experiences with other contractors that were highly rated. So, I was very happy that Don lived up to his high ratings.

I definitely recommend his services.

Highly recommended. My husband and I hadn't even been in our new home for 48 hours when we discovered very significant plumbing issues associated with both of our showers. Within 24 hours, the leaks had already caused major drywall damage including huge bubbling in the kitchen and flooding in the rooms below. All of the excitement of being in our new home quickly dissipated. I called Don on a whim based on a quick yelp search because we needed immediate help from an expert. I'm so happy we found him. He was able to come over right away. He quickly identified and explained the problems. He then not only fixed the problems but showed us that they were fixed so we could have peace of mind.

We had an issue on a Sunday and Don from PHI came out quickly and diagnosed our clogged drain. That turned into a busted pipe (old galvanized pipe in the wall). He did not gouge us on a service call for a Sunday afternoon. He was up front and fair with his pricing especially for the amount of work he had to do. We could not be happier with Don and PHI Plumbing, they will be our plumber for all future calls.

I had a small remodel project that required the rerouting of water, drains and gas. Don was great   Got the work completed for the agreed price. Nice work.

We needed a sump pump inspected for the sell of our home and were notified at the last minute by the realtor.
Don was there to help us out of the jam same day and his charge was very fair.

Don responded quickly to an urgent plumbing problem.  Just purchased a former fix and flipper a month ago and discovered the previous contractors dumped dry wall plaster down the garbage disposal (thanks for nothing dudes).  Don kept us updated on his findings, recommendations, and pricing.  All very reasonable.  Great to have a nearby professional and licensed plumber.  Highly recommend.

Similar to other reviews, I have great things to say about PHI and Don. Our pressure vacuum breaker for our sprinkler system formed a crack sometime over the winter and needed to be replaced. I called PHI the morning I discovered the leak, and Don was able to come by that afternoon. He was super nice, professional, and knowledgeable. We'll call him again the next time we have plumbing problems!

Don did a great job of replacing my kitchen faucet. He was on time, courteous, replaced 3 valves, knew what he was doing, charged a reasonable rate and was in and out within 2 hours.

He has come to my rescue several times for plumbing issues and each time I am never disappointed. He is the only plumber I will call in the Thornton area.

I discovered a broken sump pump this morning, and we don't know any great plumbers having just become homeowners a few months ago. Don was recommended several times in a Facebook group I'm on, so I gave him a call. He was able to come out 2 hours later and was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly and for a reasonable price. He was very polite and we will definitely be calling him again if we have any more issues!

We had to have concrete pulled up, plumbing moved, and sink/shower valves installed. We had about 5 different plumbing companies out for an estimate and he came in the lowest.

My brother is a contractor and inspects everything I have done to our house. It passed his approval and even got the comment of a great job!

Don was a super nice guy. He's a master plumber and I felt he really looked out for us as well.

Some weeks ago our pipes started banging in the walls and after our daughter had a bath one day the water leaked into the ceiling of the 1/2 bath below and started coming through the vent on the ceiling.

I looked up plumbing issues on line and did all the things they said to do when pipes start banging in the walls...and nothing worked.  

Went to the Water department and asked if it was a water pressure issue from them and was told by the guy that works our area that many people in our area had been having similar problems and it was the water pressure gauges that were installed in the house's some 15 years ago when they were built.

So anyhow I called Don and we went over the issue and he told me that he was going to be a little more expensive because he used a good quality water pressure gauge after a couple of failed ones previously and he wanted to make sure we had a good quality product.  

He really wasn't any more money to have him out, it really was inline with others using cheaper parts.

Anyhow at the moment we rent the house...and will be buying in a few months, so I advised using him to the landlord.

He came in and made sure before he actually replaced the part that it was in fact the problem!  

He checked out the leak...and wouldn't you know it...no leak...LOL...not idea what it was, but he tightened up the drain and overflow...made sure everything else was working right...we tried and tried to make it leak...Nothing!!

So we have not had any other issues...but we asked him about a number of things I had concerns about and he patiently answered my questions, and I never felt that we were being an inconvenience.

Anyhow, we are planning a kitchen renovation and bathroom renovations when we buy the house next year, so we will be having him back to do the work then.

I should also say that both my husband and have worked in the construction industry and have a good knowledge of plumbing, and at not time did Don ever try to stretch the truth or try and do more then was needed.  

(he did not know we actually had some knowledge, although we are not experts by any means...hence the questions, but we both understand plumbing to a large degree so were impressed with his knowledge.)

I highly recommend him...he's clean, quick and patient.  Very reasonable pricing as well.

We were having an emergency with water leaking in the basement. The leak was not only from a gray pipe but also the pressure release valve in the water heater was leaking.  I began vacuuming up water at 2:00 a.m. and called Don at 5:45 a.m.  He came right over and was done by 8:00.  Not only did he fix our leak but he also looked at the pipe under the sink and fixed that for me as well.

We have gray pipe in our home and he will be changing it all to PEX for us.  He is a Master Plumber and we feel blessed to have found him. We will be using PHI Plumbing Services for all our future plumbing needs.

Great guy, who really helped us out.  I love working with businesses in my neighborhood and Don is one I will call again.  He did a great job at the right price.

Second time that I have used PHI.  Don installed a water heater for me this past week. Very happy both times, with Don's prompt service, quality and fair price.  I highly recommend PHI, I will definitely be utilizing PHI for any future work.

Don is wonderful! Came out within a day to fix our leaky sprinkler shutoff valve, explained why valves like ours failed after just a few years, and installed a new one that wouldn't have the same issue in the future. Very accessible and friendly; we'll use him for all future plumbing issues.

We had a flood in our basement. Don, from PHI came over that day. He not only did excellent work, he explained everything to my wife along the way. He finished in a short time, and cleaned up. His fee was reasonable, and we are happy with the results.

Our plumbing leak was first noticed Friday afternoon. We called 2 other large plumbing companies and they told us they could not help until Monday. Then we called Don and he arrived promptly within an hour. Don is a master plumber and completely proficient and professional. He was able to quickly track down the leak within the wall. He clearly explained what he found and he made the necessary repairs. Don is very personable and easy going. Such a pleasure to work with. Afterwards, he cleaned everything up even though I told him it wasn't necessary. I would recommend Don to anyone without hesitation. He is very responsive and timely, good advice on me picking up a replacement sink faucet and I love it. We made an appointment on Monday to come to the house between 8-9 a.m. on Friday  to install a  gas line for our new cooktop. Told us he would be there early closer to 8:00 a.m. and he is a NO SHOW!!!!! No call or warning. Why do people not want to work? BE WARNED VERY UNDEPENDABLE! NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS DON!

Fantastic service!  I called PHI to help get our toilets working and (within 30 minutes of my call) Don found out that our water line was partially closed due to a malfunctioning valve.  He fixed the toilets and got our water pressure up.  I highly recommend PHI Plumbing Services.

The work that we needed was done but the price seemed high. The plumber first suggested that our check would bounce and then refused to accept a credit card unless he raised the price.

This review is quite late. Don came to our rescue early December. One day we noticed a small amount of water coming out from under our fridge. We pulled it away from the wall and could hear the sound of water running. Nothing was on. I ran down to the crawlspace and turned off the main. It was there I discovered even more water up against the wall and under where the fridge is. Apparently the leak had been going for sometime... We got a ridiculous quote from a reputable Plumbing company the Restoration people said they work with. They quoted a large amount  just get to started FINDING the leak in my wall.... By cutting into the wall,removing tile/cabinetry until they found the problem leak. Once said leak was found, it'd be even more to fix it. Leaving me with a wrecked bathroom in the aftermath. I shopped around and found all that fairly S.O.P.  Luckily I found PHI on here! Don was over the same day I called him. He found and fixxed the leak without tearing up our bathroom. With his expertise he was able to locate the leak in our wall with ONE little square cut into the drywall behind fridge. Easily patched by us. He even fixxed a burst pipe we never did that goes out into the back yard. He did this at an extremely affordable rate compared to big name company quotes. He was super nice and informative as well!! We WILL call PHI again!

Don @ PHI was awesome!  Our Water Heater and Garbage Disposal gave out in the same week, so I called PHI Plumbing.  Don was quick to get back with scheduling, had the new water heater and disposal with him the next day, AND took care of a couple other plumbing things that needed attention - all for an extremely reasonable price!   I highly suggest calling Don w PHI for all of your plumbing needs.

Incredible service - fast, knowledgeable, and reasonable priced.  I would HIGHLY recommend!  I called on a Saturday for a faucet replacement - I had tried to replace the faucet myself, had it half torn out and couldn't figure out the rest.  He came same day and was done in out quickly - very clean and conscientious.
