I am so impressed with this company.  Austin cam out and unclogged my kitchen drain.  He was professional and great about  explaining what he was doing.  I love that they charge by the job and not by the hour.  Ashley was able to get a appointment the same day which was not an easy task.  I am so happy I found this company and I will spread the word about their awesomeness

I was at work when Dwayne came over, but I was the one that set up the appointment. He was fast with the response, and was the only one that actually gave me a quote out of the 4 requests that I sent out.
This is what my husband texted me after Dwayne left - Dwayne was fast! There was tons of lint in the drain. That's what the clog was from. He snaked it out and we're good to go. We need to write that guy a positive review. My husband is not one to write reviews, so that was a surprise coming from him.

Austin and Preston came out to repair our outdoor water line. They took absolutely NO shortcuts, were super helpful in explaining things clearly, were efficient, and even examined a few extra concerns I had at no extra charge. This is all great, but I have to give them kudos for the best extra customer service ever. My 12-year-old son is super interested in becoming a plumber, and they let him follow them around, answered all his questions, and encouraged him tremendously. When they left (just now), he was on Cloud 9. He feels valued and affirmed as a person just from the way they interacted with him. I can't thank the work team enough, and I was even impressed at the team back at the office who scheduled and kept me apprised of their arrival. We're keeping your information at the top of our home improvement file!

I've been using Mr. Rooter now since 2013 for all of my plumbing needs and they have never failed me. The pricing is always fair and I trust them in my residence. Larry specifically has been assigned to us since the beginning and he's fantastic! I've gone through a few houses now,  fixing them up and moving to the next,  all of them 70+ year old homes and Larry has always handled those intricate and unique jobs with ease.  I highly recommend them!

Extremely overpriced. Needed to get a section of rusted out drain line replaced. They didn't know how much needed to be jackhammered out and replaced. In the end it was about 3ft. Cost was 7k. I'll let the readers be the judge if it was a value with the cost breakdown.

We had Benjamin replaced our garden faucet. We found Benjamin to be very knowledgeable, professional and an exceptionally hardworking guy. He got the job done impressively with an almost unreachable & tight working space in our basement. So very grateful to have him replace our broken garden faucet. Highly recommend this company! Thanks for the military discount, much appreciate it!

Thank you for coming to fix my burst pipe, I called late in the afternoon, and the tech was here in very little time, just about as long as it took me to figure out how to turn the dang water off.
Tech had me fixed up in no time and was extremely courteous, clear and I can't thank him enough.
Mr. Rooter is the plumber service we have been using for a while now and this is just one more reason why.

Fantastic company!
Spending thousands of dollars on plumbing is soooo stressful! We went through a couple companies that were trying to rip us off before we landed with this one. The very first technician came out very quickly and was very knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I didn't feel taken advantage of like the other companies. They had their team out very quickly to dig up my yard, they were very cautious to make as little of a mess as they could. Then they put my yard back the best they could. I really appreciated each and every step they took.
Very professional. They work on you with pricing. Very kind and responsive.

Good plumbers and fair pricing and doesn't up-sell. I had a main sewer line clog. They snaked and scoped lines and even helped me locate, dig up the hatch and check tank level. I'll use them again!

I can not warn people enough about the work that Mr. Rooter does. I hired them to raise my pipes so that a new sink could be installed in my upstairs bathroom (they would not put the fixtures on, I had to do that) however, they made my sink leak when they did not put the piping in right... I found THE PIPE that was cut just sitting in between my walls on top of other pipes... not attached to anything. I also had them put in a replacement toilet in the basement bathroom. The first guy that came requested another guy come to help him out so that they could finish sooner, but still took several smoke breaks out by their vans. But they were nice enough to wear booties.. that they left on the floor by the bathroom before walking back through the house to leave. The toilet lasted about 20 hours before it exploded at the seams and flooded my entire basement about $12k later, it is all MY fault and they are refusing to pay for damages. The other plumbing company, the restoration people, and my insurance all say that it was negligence from when they installed the toilet. They sent out their own VERY RUDE claims adjuster. He was very accusatory and interrupted us after he asked us questions about what happened and started to TELL US that we were wrong and started to make up a story about what happened, even though my husband and I told him what happened, several times. He was also very rude to our insurance adjuster and did the same thing to her.

I'm sorry this was such a long review, but I wanted to share the details in the destruction of my basement. Please DO NOT work with Mr. Rooter. they are not professional, not accountable, and not honest.

We had a prior plumbing guy come out and say there was no way they could get through a root ball and they would need to dig up our yard for $5500. Jeff from Mr. Rooter came out and was thorough, explained everything really clearly and was able to auger all the way to the city line. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Yay for Mr. Rooter!

I am a landlord and my tenant told me there was a leak going on, I called them, and they were able to get out in three days. It did take them 3 visits to diagnose the issue, but by the third trip and hole in my ceiling, everything was fixed. They are upfront about their costs and always get approval before starting work. If they don't do any work, they won't charge. They made it very simple for my to handle the issue being many states away. Will use them again!

Our bathtub faucet wouldn't shut off. I tried to fix it myself but couldn't get the cartridge to come out. Called Mr. Rooter they said I would get a confirmation phone call and someone would be out between 12-5. I never got a confirmation call and no one showed up. I called several times and was told they would put me on emergency status and still no phone call or someone to fix my problem.

UPDATE: I received a phone call this morning, they apologized for the no response the previous day. They said they are having some issues with the calling service. I was told I would be receive a phone call when someone was on their way to my house between 11-1. I received a phone call before 11 and he said would be at my house within 30 minutes. The faucet was fixed and the repairman was done in a timely manner.

These guy's  are the best! Very professional, courteous  and just really nice. They explained  everything  upfront,  no surprises.  They were  clean (they even had little  booties  for their shoes). I highly recommend  Shane and Mr. Rooter for your plumbing issues. I have dealt with other plumbers who were not so honest and professional and believe me when I  tell you that  theses guy's  made a bad situation  much easier. Thank You Shane from Mr. Rooter.

They came over a day late but I guess they are busy.   The Guy put a new pix valve in my garage and it took about 2 hours and cost about 325$ So you figure about 150 an hour.  Seems like a lot but costs 100$ an hour to run a truck so not terrible.  The guy was cool and did what I asked.  Mr Rooter gets better grade of parts than the homedepot knock off parts so you really are getting a different type of repair.

I haven't used many plumbers in my life so I can't in all honesty give them a 5 star (as I have nothing to compare it to) but I was really impressed with the professionalism of Mark who showed up this morning after a call last night to install a sink and toilet for me. (Being INSANELY unhandy as I am)

The cost seemed a bit high, but I didn't think much of it as getting a plumber last minute generally isn't easy or cheap.

The work done was excellent and I don't feel like I've been ripped off or anything. The phone staff was all very polite and helpful. Even at 7 and 9 pm when I called about this morning.

I'd recommend them for promptness, professionalism and, what seemed to me, a pretty decent job doing what needed doing.

Prompt service, highly skilled plumber, got the job done!! The only reason for 4 stars, instead of five, sticker shock! Prices are very high, beware. Excess hair removed from bathtub drain and installed a new toilet mechanism to alleviate double flushing.

Fantastic company! Easy to schedule, very friendly customer service. The schedule lady was very helpful in trying to get a rep out as soon as possible. Adrian came out and did a fantastic job and was very kind, professional and friendly. Made sure to do a thorough job, covered his feet at all times to protect our carpets and explained everything he was doing to help us understand the whole process of cleaning out a bad sewer clog that had formed due to tree roots. Will use these guys again and again.

Mr. Rooter always responds with dispatch, i.e., in a quick and efficient way. We were so happy that Adrian was our plumber because of past experience with him. Adrian is professional, courteous, friendly, and excellently skilled. He enhances the great reputation of Mr. Rooter, with whom we have dealt for a number of years.

Adrian was the reason for the 5 star review.  My daughter was out of town and a kitchen sink drain was problematic.  He was professional, worked diligently, and did not give up on the problem until he had a solution.   His assessment and intervention was aligned with the professional plumber from Mr Rooter that came to look at the problem.  Mr Rooter business should be pleased to have an employee like Adrian.  Thank you.

I was very impressed with Donte with Mr. Rooter. He was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He did the job right and explained what he was doing. I was thrilled with the fact they do not charge extra on the weekend or night hours. What a great company, affordable, prompt, and helpful. ! I highly recommend using them when the need arises!

The folks who answer the phones, to the folks that come out to your home, they are all qualified and amazing!! They always explain what they are going to and why. You get an estimate before they start any work, and they give you a complimentary inspection after each job! I love being an Advantage Plan customer! It is so worth the little bit of extra money to know you will always have YOUR plumber available, no matter if your emergency is small or large. Pay the extra money, you will thank yourself later!

Can't say enough good things about Mr. Rooter, and in particular, Shane. We have had several plumbing issues as well as a sink install over the past couple of years, and Mr. Rooter has always been able to help us out and has always charged a very reasonable price. We really appreciate the fact that once you have a plumber out, he becomes your plumber and is almost always assigned to do your work. It's almost never a good thing when you need a plumber, but Mr. Rooter makes the experience as efficient and stress free as possible.

My laundry washer was draining into the toilet. Ewe. Mike came and fixed it right away, he was fast & professional. The front line girls were competent. They gladly kept me updated on arrival times. Since I had to take time off work, that was much appreciated. Thanks so much for the great service & fair prices! We will use this company always!

We had our leak issue completed by Benjamin B. He not only did an amazing job. He was also very educational. He helped me to understand why these leak issues can occur and what I can do in the future for prevention. He is also very kind and personable. I definitely recommend asking for him if you are need of any services through Mr. Rooter. Thanks again Benjamin, you definitely put my worries aside!

Update! Second plumbing issue (minor, but I have so much anxiety about plumbing it's really ridiculous). Again a plumber, Austin, was sent to my address within 15 minutes, promptly fixed the issue, and was very patient with all my but what-about-this and what-about-this questions. Wonderful service yet again, above and beyond generous with their time and rates - I could not be happier with this company thank you thank you thank you!

Very high prices.  Went with another local plumbing company who charged me a lot less.

My initial experience with Mr Rooter resulted in some damage done to my property. Once reported,  Mr Rooter and I were able to come to an agreement which satisfied both parties. The gentlemen I worked with displayed honesty and integrity during this process. Mr Rooter as a company displayed great commitment to their reputation and was eager to help me with my issue. I feel that Mr Rooter is a great local establishment and I will absolutely be using their services again. The overall work that was completed was done well and in a timely manner. It is not often that customers are assured that the company they are working with is honest. I feel very pleased with my overall experience and would recommend Mr Rooter as the first plumbing service to call in this area.

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is AWESOME!!!  I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Larry at Mr. Rooter.  He has helped me install a sump pump at a rental and assisted with a clogged drains. Not only is Larry wonderful and efficient, the office staff at Mr. Rooter is SO ENJOYABLE to speak with each time I call to schedule an appointment.  I *WISH* all my contractors were this easy and wonderful!

Good plumbers. A bit expensive compared to some others, but always reliable and consistent.

Would not help because this location does not go to calls for sewer smells waste of time to call them unless you are a plumbing expert and know exactly what your plumbing problem is.  They also could not recommend any alternatives.

Thank you Doug Johnson for the excellent service and making us a priority.  Not only did you make a spot on diagnosis but you went above and beyond in repairing it quickly and efficiently.

Horrible!....they were paid in FULL to install a brand new hot water heater....they did not complete the installation and we had to hire another company to properly finish the job...we would absolutely NOT recommend or use these clowns ever again!

Mr. Rooter is the only plumber I have every thought of calling when in need of help.  They have done so much work at our house from a sewer line to small valve replacements and every time the service guys show up with a smile and are so professional.  I highly recommend them and always refer them to friends and family when ever possible.Thank YouDave Clayton

8/28:
Mr. Rooter plumber **** came over in the evening. Problem: toilets backing up into tubs. **** removed the toilet in the wrong restroom. **** used a foam shim to level the toilet when he reset it, but did not trim the foam.
After removing the toilet in the other restroom, **** was still unable to rectify the problem. **** phoned another Mr. Rooter plumber who resides nearby to assist him.  While working together, the plumbers broke the drywall and one of the pipes. The second plumber went to Home Depot, to get parts to complete the job. The plumbers stated Mr. Rooter would pay for drywall repair since they broke my bathroom wall.
8/29:
The following morning the bathroom flooded because **** did not hook the pipes back up in the cabinet under the sink the previous night. I phoned Mr. Rooter's receptionist, who sent **** Colman and his boss *** over. *** stated ***** from * and * ******* would come to repair the drywall on Monday, 9/4. The receptionist phoned to confirm this, stating ***** would arrive at 10:30 am.
9/4:
**** came to remove the toilet in the morning so ***** could repair the drywall the plumbers broke behind the toilet the evening of 8/28. **** also stated he would trim the shim on the other toilet, but left without doing so. **** also stated ***** would paint after repairing the drywall. ***** stated he didn't paint, and the drywall had to dry for at least a day before it was painted.
I texted this information to the Mr. Rooter receptionist. The receptionist phoned, assuring me the plumber would return today, to reset the toilet and trim the shim. The receptionist also assured me the plumber would return later this week to remove the toilet again, paint the repaired drywall and reset the toilet again.
When ***** was finished, I phoned the Mr. Rooter receptionist to inform her. I stated my mother and I were leaving for a couple of hours, to go grocery shopping. The receptionist stated no, wait, as **** was on his way over to reset the toilet. After my mother and I waited for quite a while, the phone rang. It was *****, scheduling a time to return to paint and reset the toilet. I informed **** that the receptionist stated he was in his way over. **** said nobody informed him he was supposed to return today. **** assumed he would return to paint and reset the toilet in one trip.
**** stated he could return the next morning, 9/5. I stated I would be at work all day and had to teach a class at night. ***** agreed to come over to reset the toilet after three pm today, 9/4 (because unknown to him, the receptionist stated he would today). **** stated he would return Wednesday evening 9/6 to remove the toilet again, paint the drywall and reset the toilet again.
After my mother and I left to grocery shop, the Mr. Rooter receptionist phoned, stating **** would not come back today (as she previously assured) or Wednesday (as **** previously assured); he would come on Thursday 9/7 to paint and reset the toilet in one trip. I informed the receptionist that was unacceptable. My elderly mother who has dementia could not go without the toilet across from her bedroom until Thursday. I informed the receptionist **** would come at 3 pm this afternoon 9/4 to reset the toilet as he stated he would when he phoned, someone else would paint behind the toilet and I would never again use Mr. Rooter's services. The receptionist agreed. **** did not call or show up. The receptionist and **** did not answer their phones or respond to their voice mails.
My complaints: It was not my fault that the Mr. Rooter plumbers broke my drywall and a pipe, did not re-hook a pipe under the sink, that there was poor communication between the receptionist and ****, and that both of them made promises and did not keep them. My mother and I have been Mr. Rooter customers for years (at my home and mom's former house before I moved her in with me). It is completely unethical that Mr. Rooter did not reset the toilet or paint as assured.

The marketing matches the service! I expected prompt, polite, and polished service and that's exactly what I got. The tech, Alex was knowledgeable and patient with me as he explained the problem and the recommended solution. Following the resolution of my clog he offered to do a courtesy inspection of all my plumbing fixtures and raised my attention to a potential problem to watch. Very helpful indeed!

The waterline into our house broke early yesterday morning. Mr. Rooter was recommended and Robby came out to asses the situation and determined that he could find and fix the leak. He brought in a mini excavator and soon had the hole dug and the new parts in place. It really was amazing and that he had it done within a few hours of us finding and calling him is remarkable!!
