Meiers Mechanical (M and M Heating & Air-conditioning) has been in business for over 14 years and is family owned and operated in Longmont, Colorado. I have more than 16 years experience in the HVAC field and we have many satisfied customers. I am writing this YELP REVIEW  to share my utmost satisfaction with the recent installation of my new HVAC system by M & M. The entire experience from start to finish was nothing short of flawless.

First and foremost, I would like to commend the M & M team for their exceptional punctuality. As promised, the installation crew arrived at my home precisely at 9:00 a.m., ready to begin their work. Their timely arrival set a positive tone for the entire all day installation process.

Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to Brien for his excellent service during the initial review of my HVAC unit. Dealing with Brien was an absolute pleasure, and his knowledge and expertise was invaluable in guiding me through the selection process. We came home from vacation on a toasty Sunday afternoon to find that our AC was kaput.  After calling several HVAC companies whose Yelp listings said they were open weekends but weren't  I left a message with M and M's answering service, got a call back within a few minutes from Lalo, who was able to fit us in within a couple of hours.  He was professional and friendly, explained what was going on, fixed the problem quickly, and took a few minutes to check out the coolant pressure on our aging AC and talk to me about replacement options (heat pumps are it).  Great experience and will be calling these guys first from now on.

Derrik is my HVAC hero! My furnace has had issues since February of this year, and two other companies failed to find the actual problem (after charging hundreds of dollars for other fixes). Derrik was able to determine exactly where there was a blockage in the condensation trap. Not only did he find it, he cut the trap in the perfect spot so I could see the blockage (excessive glue that had dried up from when it was originally installed). He also educated me on everything he was doing and ensured he had all the right parts before he started cutting. He was there at the right time just before it starts getting even more cold and I cannot be more grateful.

I scheduled a 'clean and tune' in mid December. The technician, Brian was on time and called ahead to give me an approx arrival time.

He found some issues with my current furnace (it's old, and has corrosion in the heating coils) and prepared a summary of all the possible options from replacing a few parts, to full rebuild and beyond. He even showed me everything on the camera-tool so I could see for myself. There was absolutely no pressure to commit to anything, and recommendations were concise and reasonable.

Because my furnace was so old, I opt'd for a totally new system. Brian prepared 4 different options and walked me through the features/benefits of each one. I had installation scheduled that very day!

Installation of my new system was smooth and we're happy with the new system and features. The 1 yr total-refund test period is awesome, and lets us try the system during all 4 seasons.

Great work, and will call them again for any other HVAC needs.

Our AC broke on a 90 degree day in Colorado during wildfire season negatively affecting the air quality. Not a great time to lose our AC. I called multiple places but only M and M could get someone out right away! Brien came and was super helpful. He amazingly repaired a 24-year old unit when we said we weren't ready to pull the trigger on a new unit. He gave us our options, fixed it and it wasn't a fortune! They were on time, reasonably priced and really easy to work with. We do plan to replace our unit in the off season and will likely go with M and M after their great customer service, skill and diagnostic abilities.

What a Lifesaver! After driving all day we arrived home
to a freezing house without a hint of heat. Early the next morning after checking possibilities online we called  
M and M to schedule  an appointment. Within an hour Mark arrived, checked out our VERY old furnace and offered 3 different pricing options for replacement. Later that day his crew arrived to begin work. This was not an easy install and the crew stayed well into the evening to get the job completed. All of the workers  were friendly, prompt and professional. The clean-up was great and
now I have much needed heat in my house!
I am pleased beyond belief!
I whole heartedly recommend M and M. Fair pricing,  stellar service and locally owned. . . (Something I always try to support.) Were it possible to award a 6 star rating  I certainly would!

My furnace stopped working this past Friday night when it was in the teens overnight. Lalo came out on a Saturday, answered all my questions and had the problem fixed in no time. He was very professional and extremely helpful.

Update since we had another service and it went great again! Brian Gienger from M&M came to our house to fix our blower in our furnace. He was very realistic about quotes, solutions, and I got zero hint of him pulling one over on me. M&M had been out about a couple years ago to charge our AC unit and clean it out too, and the experience was very pleasant. Definitely the best HVAC and plumbing group here in the Longmont area!

These guys are great. I've been doing business with them for almost 15 years. From the AC they installed back when they were still a small shop on Main St. to the new hot water heater and furnace/AC replacements in the past year. They have grown a lot and offer more of a one-stop shopping experience now that they do HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

It took Aleks, Issa, and Aaron ~6 hours to rip out the old AC and furnace and replace with a more efficient and quieter Carrier Infinity system. Install looks flawless and everything has been working great. They explained how all the bits worked and I am a satisfied customer.

Victor came to our home and was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He correctly diagnosed a leaking toilet problem, fixed a leaking faucet, and sealed a sewer vent pipe that was preventing us from final carpeting our basement remodel. Can't say enough good things about Victor, and we will not hesitate to call on M & M for anything in the future.

The very definition of UN PROFESSIONAL. these turds came to one of my stores to check out one of the roof top A/C units. The guy said he'd price the needed repair parts and send me the estimate. That was a week ago and he completely flaked out on me. He never even bothered to call..... The office says this jerk is out of town for a week and he's un reachable. What kind of losers send someone out to service a customer of he's not going to be around to do the repairs? What kind of company is this that they don't give a crap that their employees are going around ruining their reputation? We needed a new contractor to service our 10 stores in the greater Denver metro area. It sure as hell won't be these losers.

Had terrible drain blockage in kitchen that I tried to fix with Draino but instead ended up causing water with Draino to backup through the dishwasher all over the kitchen floor.  I called another plumbing company and was told that they couldn't come that day till after hours and that as a result there would then be an additional $100.00 + charge, just for showing up.
I then called M & M and they said they'd be out within 2 hrs with no additional charge and that's exactly what they did. Brian arrived to save the day and chased the blockage through the kitchen and into the basement and out to our main drain and also found and replaced a broken leaky pipe that if left unfound would've caused our basement to have been flooded.  Thank God for Brian and M & M Plumbing.  I highly recommend this company and I will definitely be contacting them for my future plumbing needs.

I got the pleasure of meeting Brian, he installed a water heater very fast and efficiently. He's a friendly personable guy and he loved my dog. Everyone at M&M were very pleasant. I will recommend these guys to everyone! They beat every price in town.

Asked this company to give me a quote for some simple work. They took apart my AC unit, pointed to something unrelated, said I need to replace the entire unit, and gave me quotes for replacing my entire HVAC system. Hired someone else who just came out and did the work. Don't let these guys into your home.

WARNING: M&M cannot be trusted. Here are the facts:
My furnace lost power. Technician Mark was paid to diagnose the problem ($90), which he NEVER did. Instead he changed the thermostat, replacing a working one with a new one. This didn't (and couldn't have) solve the problem as the thermostat draws its' power from the furnace.  He charged me $171 for a unit that sells for $30 at Home Depot. Plus $90 installation. The new thermostat has the unique feature of the M&M company name and address printed on the front of the thermostat.  Really cool to add the M&M name to the wall in my dining room. This says everything there is to know about this self-interested company.  Disgraceful!!!
Next, technician Mark spent 45 minutes in his van preparing for me a four-page proposal of furnace replacement options from $12,000 to $24,500. He never diagnosed my furnace problem. He was there from the start to try and sell me an overly high-priced new furnace. M&M furnace pricing is price gouging, double the prices of some competitors, contrary to the M&M website.  
WARNING: M&M is a dishonest organization. Just read between the lines at their website.  They are a self-interested family company that lives the lie that their approach allows us to offer the best products available at a much lower cost to you during these tough times. Simply, a lie.  The website continues by insulting their competitors: We strive to keep our business simple and effective. The large volume businesses (competitors) require high overhead costs which include daily advertising, higher insurance costs and more company vehicles just to name a few. In the end these costs are passed onto the consumer. Simply put, this is a very poorly written and deceitful attempt at a marketing message.
Upon request they did refund my money and told me to keep the thermostat. They thought they were being thoughtful & generous. More likely, they were caught in their game and were worried about being reviewed negatively.  Instead, these are the indisputable facts, verified by the work order & invoice.

Our A/C stopped working and so we called this company and made an appointment.
The appointment was set up by my husband and he tells me he was told a $45 service charge would be required plus $45 for the first half hour of work (but that second part was a bit unclear and we were unclear on this until the owner explained to me, the bill was a bit surprising initially) make sure you understand this as it means the minimum chagre is really $90! This is still in line with others in the area.  We were told they would be here around 2:30-3 but it wasnt until 4:45 or so that my husband received a call that the service man would be arriving shortly and they arrived at 5:15ish. The part we needed, according to the information on our receipt, sells for $20-30 online. We were charged $145. This is more than a 400% markup... Based on my research, a part like that should be more 100-300% markup so I felt that this was high. It may be that the part is more specialized, I can only go off the information I was given, but if that is the case, perhaps markup amounts were lower.

3 hours later, my house was still extremely hot. I don't know how long it is supposed to take but we received no information on that.

Plus side, my husband and I agreed that the service man was nice and quick.  After we called and complained, they came out the next day and apparently hadn't checked the freon levels, which also needed to be fixed (freon is being phased out and is very expensive, which added more to our bill but it was this or a new unit and I did check to confirm prices for the gas were consistent, didn't feel a concern with this)  Now the air is working and there was no second charge for service so I bumped to 4* but that's up on rounding since I would have expected everything to be checked the first time and would have appreciated more information on when to call back if it didn't work the first time.

*Note: review reflects my opinion but I have discussed this service call with the owner and he is very keen to make sure you are happy and we will most likely use them again ourselves when something happens, just go in with eyes wide open regarding that this is an expensive household repair.

The owner contacted my husband as well and was very helpful in resolving several of my issues, including what I saw as an overcharging of parts and for the extra service charge not being properly explained.

He worked with us to address all the concerns and we are both satisfied as of this time with this company.

Boy are these guys fast, efficient and good! No BS, just straight forward and very friendly.

Ten year old A/C seemed to be getting tired and I called to schedule a general maintenance service call, AKA check it all out, to make sure everything was good. I figured they'd schedule something in a few weeks as it wasn't an emergency. No, they had a reschedule with someone else and within an hour, someone was over looking at the unit.

The technician was very knowledgeable, gave me his opinion and options. No BS, just the facts, cost and I approved the work.

VERY HAPPY with their service will ONLY call them from now on!

First, I waited until AC unit was working again to write review (not fixed by MandM).  My experience: I contact MandM with my larger AC unit that seemed to not work as high heat of summer happened.  I also requested that they look at freon levels in my second unit.  The first larger unit gets unhappy every summer when temperatures get above 95.   In retrospect, I think I got an inexperienced repair person who didn't call for help when he didn't know what was wrong with my AC unit and instead gave me a list of all the parts inside the first unit that might need to be replaced to get it working, as part of his tactic for pushing a new unit sale.  Justin admitted that he had no specific idea of which part was not working in it and suggested that I start considering a new unit.  He also charged me for looking at my second unit which he said he was too afraid to service because the number readings didn't make sense and he didn't want to mess it up.  It was kind of him to not mess it up but I should not have been charged for second unit when it was not really serviced.  I wrote online to company to complain about Justin's service and never heard back via email or phone message.  Might be best to request more seasoned repairman for older units.
Update:  Thanks for the response, Eric.  M an M service both units prior in 2012.   They serviced and repaired the second/older unit and it's worked like a champ ever since so there was absolutely nothing wrong with it but I wanted to have it check and service since it had been so long.  Additionally, M and M did a repair service call on first unit in 2014 and found loose wire. Justin had no idea how second/older unit was operating since the numbers didn't make sense to him and he didn't recommend servicing it due to that.  He also wanted to order a laundry list of parts for first unit (think 2005 model) because he didn't know why it wasn't working but recommending replacing the entire unit.  The second opinion company immediately knew it was the capacitor. Many units are capable of lasting more than the industry standard with proper care, especially in Colorado where some only are used 4-5 months of the year.   I stand by my opinion about Justin.

Very professional service, had them come out and diagnose issues with an AC unit in the house I just bought.  Ultimately asked them to quote me a price for a new AC/Furnace and Hot Water heater, but chose a competitor based on price and labor warranty.

I certainly would have liked to use them, as I feel they were probably best in class for Carrier Infinity installations, but ultimately cost was a bigger driver to me.

I've been working with M&M for over 10 years now at multiple locations. They never disappoint, are always timely and provide professional quality work at a fair price. They recently replaced my parents furnace last minute while they were snow-birding in Texas. Because temperatures were freezing at night M&M worked with no one onsite and got them back up and running before any pipes could freeze. Great job Cody! When I purchased my house I knew that the A/C, water heater and furnace were going to have to be replaced.  I read many reviews and M and M had the most impressive list of satisfied customers.  Also I had a personal referral from a family member that recommended them but I still got quotes from several contractors.  Boy was I happy I chose Eric and his team.  They were professional and up front about what was going to happen.  I was happy with their competitive quote and their samples of work.  After Eric gave me a quote I booked his staff to install everything within a few days.  I couldn't be happier with the end product.  If you want it done right and at a competitive price  it doesn't get any better than M and M heating and Air Conditioning.

Eric and Team Brian and Cody, did a great job installing our AC last week.  They were professional, on time, communicative, and respectful.  Out of all the bids we got for this job, Eric Meiers is the only person who asked to look upstairs for vents and air return.  He is also the only one who gave us a thorough, written explaination of proposed scope of work and products.  Competitively priced.

I called M&M to go out to a rental property I have outside of Lyons.  They had never been there before, and I was honestly very nervous about what might be wrong with the A/C.  One company who had serviced it last year said I needed a whole new furnace and A/C.

The M&M folks were courteous and serviced the A/C to get it working great again for less than $100.  That is a BARGAIN. They also called me to make sure I was ok with the charges, which I really appreciate.  

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they couldn't get out there for a couple of days - not a huge deal, but a same day visit would have been perfection (perhaps unrealistic, though).

These guys are AWESOME! My dad was having problems with his air conditioner and it has been scorching. I asked them to go out to his house and bill me. They were fast (next day!) and it was an easy fix that really cost just the visit fee. It was great - honest, very pleasant, and extremely helpful. I really like having home specialists and I can trust and these guys are it for me in Longmont. Thanks for the really great service!

Had these guys out to look at AC unit.  Tech fixed a switch in the unit, and cleans it for $350 (it is still not clean) then tells me it needs a bottle of stop leak and a few pounds of Freon...about $750 in repairs.  He then proceeds to sell us on a new AC unit and furnace..for $7000! Fortunately I had another company come out the next day and they said the Freon was fine-showed me the gauges- and that they would not add any, as it would actually be bad for the unit.  They felt the unit was working fine, and left for the $70 service charge.  They saved me $7000.  It is to bad that these guys tried to up sell me so much, I was looking for a long term service relationship, but now I would not use them again.  It pays to get second opinions....

I had M&M install a new furnace and a/c unit.  Eric and his team did a great job - from the informative & educational explanation of needs, to explaining how the process would go, to offering me a competitive price, to actually doing a great job and finally to solid follow-up to ensure everything was as expected.  Truly a professional & caring contractor that I would highly recommend!
