I called to simply have my furnace cleaned for a fixed price. The technician took advantage that my wife was there and left with only telling her all of the stuff we should do to the furnace. No cleaning was provided. I called back and spoke to a manager who insisted I was in the wrong and that the $120 charge was for them to come out and confirm it needed cleaned.  I would never recommend them to anyone.

Awful! My daughter used them because she thought she'd call a reputable firm . As First time single dwelling homeowners they had a drainage backup issue. The technician claimed he needed to remove their toilet, make a hole in the drywall and snake the drain through the toilet drain. He also told them he didn't want to go on any other calls that day so he stayed there for a few hours. The floor drain was about 30 feet away completely accessible. He convinced them that they needed to schedule a scope to be done , which they had already paid for at their inspection less than a year before. Brothers scope technician claimed they needed to replace the sewer pipe at an estimate of $10,000 roughly. So after paying $700 in service charges they learned it was not true. They paid for a third scope and learned that the technician hadn't even removed the tree root causing the problem and the sewer drain did NOT need to be replaced. After several calls to rectify their experience they were told by Managers at Brothers that there was nothing they could do for them!!! Buyer Beware

We were due for a sewer line drain cleaning so we gave them a try.  The technician, Zolie was prompt, friendly, and professional.  I had a few questions for him and he was able to give me helpful information.  We are considering replacing our sewer line so will give them the opportunity to bid the job based on this positive experience with them.  The only reason for four stars and not five is because when I called to make the drain cleaning appointment, I decided to also make the appointment for the sewer line replacement estimate.  The person who made both appointments and the person who called to say my drain cleaning technician was on the way were friendly enough but got confused by the two different appointments and the work I was having done.  Also, the estimator came but then said that we'd need the video done first before he could do the estimate.  Seems the office crew could use a little more training in the nuances of this work to help customers make appointments in the proper order.

We recently had a furnace that wasn't working properly, and had a tech from Brothers out. Herb was very kind and did a swell job (besides the hard sell on a monthly maintenance plan), but when I asked for an invoice and a clearer explanation of a charge labeled operating expenses of $570, the operations manager couldn't explain it. He sent me a PDF handout explaining how everything a company does is covered by the amount they charge. (Obviously.) And yet how did they get to this cost of $570 for about two hours of labor? He didn't explain. It seems to come out of thin air--sorry, the precise pricing guide, as the manager said.

You'd think that, in a business sector that is notorious, rightly or wrongly, for issues with overcharging, they'd want to be more transparent on how they come up with the amount to charge. Honestly, just a simple hourly rate that encompasses their operating costs would have worked out better. At least I'd know what I'm paying for: time spent in my basement, doing the work.

Oh, and on top of all that, they charged a show-up fee of $79, which wasn't waived when they actually did work. (Seems like most repair places do waive that when they get hired.) I wish that was made clear to me when I signed for the work.

All totaled, I paid about $1,300 for a new gas valve switch. And because I don't really know why it cost that much, I feel like I was totally overcharged.

A few months ago, I had two separate plumbing issues. The first was a pin hole leak in my copper piping on the water supply feeding my hot water heater (which I had clamped off to stop the leak). The second issue was a water leak dripping into my crawl space. That leak came from the copper piping that supplied water to my washing machine that sits on the main floor above the crawl space.
I called Brothers and they priced out to fix the leak in the crawl space ~ $430 and to fix the pin hole leak ~ $250.  I thought that was pretty high but water was gets into my crawl space and the pin hole leak needed to be repaired. I agreed to pay the quote.  They started with the leak in the crawl space.  In a few minutes by just moving the washing machine, they discovered one of the water hoses was leaking causing water to travel down the water supply line into the crawl space.  I thought that was great because the fix was changing out the water hoses (~$30).  But.... Brothers said they would just reverse the charges. Now the pin hole leak would cost ~ $430 and the crawl space leak (washing machine) would now cost ~$250.  What a rip off!!!!!! I told Brothers that I would change out my washing machine hoses and deal with the hot water heater pin hole leak later.  Hey charged me the travel fee of ~ $45.  I will NEVER call this company again!!! Crooks.

I did not use this company for plumbing, heating & electric. A neighbor did and the technician was parked illegally in the fire lane, which caused me to have fender bender. The corner of my bumper hit my neighbor's because the van was parked in two way traffic lane (a portion of this lane is designated as a fire lane), which limited my clearance. The area above the tire on the passenger side rubbed again my neighbor's back corner bumper.  I called the company to report the problem and spoke to the VP named Justin.  VP basically told me I was at fault because I was the one in the moving vehicle (their vehicle was parked) and his technician was parking in front of someone's garage.  The vehicle was parked in a fire lane. He wanted to know what proof did I have? I have photos and one of my neighbors saw two vans there as she was coming home.  Another neighbor was waiting in a running vehicle next to me while this occurred and saw me picking up a piece of the broken bumper.  VP  asked why I called 12 hours later?  I called and no supervisor was around after hour.  He asked me what I wanted him to do about it (defensive and unsympathetic).  I told him how much the repair was. He suggested I file a claim with my insurance and see if there was anything that could be done. I already reported the incident to my insurance and my neighbor whose car I bummed into. I also wanted to report the problem to this company so it doesn't happen to someone else. The disdain in this guy's voice was enough to stay away with a 10 foot pole.  What surprised me was them trying to deny that the van was parked there and placed the blame on me.  Would you use a company with horrible customer service or whose employee (s) can't even read the signs and/or obey the law? The fire lane/no parking sign was right in front of van. What can we do to make you smile today? For $124 or so I will spend on this new bumper (off market), I will make sure my friends, family, and colleagues never use your services.

This is my first ever Yelp review, but Brothers was so bad I felt it was my duty to come on here.

I called Brothers because they sent a coupon in the mail for $30 off service. However, I should have looked here first.

They arrived 15min late, which wasn't too bad. However, once they diagnosed the issue they said that it would be $900. With that price in mind, my wife and I decided we wanted to call around to a couple places for quotes. The workers said that any place would have the same price due to their open-book pricing. Then, they threatened that I would have to pay the $79 come out fee if they had to return after I called other places. I took that chance, and I am so glad I did. The job ended up costing me $300 through another company, and the furnace has been working ever since.

I will never call Brothers for any work. To top it all off, they have called me twice and emailed me multiple times to get feedback on my service. Don't ever come here if you want decent service at a realistic price.

Shocked by the price!

Wish I had checked other reviews before I called these guys. They were a little late (30 minutes later than 2 hour window I had been given.) The workers were cool, but they didn't do a good job explaining the cost and how long it would take. I called to have a leak from the shower into the crawl space fixed. Took 2 hours and $90 in parts. The price was over $700! When I called the next day to make sure there was not a mistake in the billing, the manager was defensive, not cooperative, implied I was stupid, and didn't seem interested in making me a happy customer but stated telling me about I was paying for company overhead and not having to pay employees over time, yadda, yadda.

Bottom line, compare your cost before they come! The service was professional, but way over priced.

I used this Company back in 2011 so I called them out again when my furnace quit working on Friday.  They scheduled an appointment for Monday so had to be without heat for almost three days.  So I sort of understand that due to scheduling.  BUT when the tech showed up  as scheduled in his black pants and white shirt, he seemed to be PUT OFF because I told him the heater was in the craw space.  Kind of in a snotty attitude So where is it then  I led him out to it and when he saw it was not a finished crawl space, he was really upset and said Well I am going to have to put on some overall I suppose.  About 15 minutes later he comes out of the crawl space and said something  like Well my friend it looks like you have a new heater in your future  He said it had three different things wrong, one of which was a cracked board, the other was the motor squeaked loudly and a third thing which I don't remember because he never wrote it down for me. He said the heater was too old because it had been there since 1994.  I told that my wife and I were both unemployed at the moment and could not afford to buy a new heater right now.  He told us that they had payment plans and we should be able to handle that, like that would have made any difference. He offered us no other alternatives to repair it to get us through the next couple of months or anything.  He only wanted a new heater for us and nothing else.   I told him we could not do it so he says he needs to take a picture of the cracked board for documentation. He went back down there and this time he was down there longer than the first time when he was supposed to be evaluating the actual problem.  He comes back up charges us $78.00 and give us a Detailed estimate for a new heater. Never gave us a list for what the problems were, never gave us a picture of the cracked board.   As I was paying him, he made quite a bit fun of and made jokes about the larger than normal check that I gave him   When I told him that I needed to use those due to my limited vision he did not seem to care and continued joking about the size of the check.  After he left I called the company and told them about what had happened and about the unprofessionalism of the tech.  They did not seem to care. They said they now had the photo of the cracked board.

So I can't have my family without heat.  I called another company that someone recommended to me.  He came out in about an hour after he finished the job he was doing. To make  a long story short, he unplugged my heater's Inducer, found NO Cracked board at all.  He discovered a gas valve the Brothers tech had turned the wrong way and he discovered a wire that the Brothers Tech had disconnected to make things look worse.  He said he had to charge me two hours of labor because he had to fix the stuff the Brothers Tech had messed with to make it seem worse.  He said that if northing had of been sabotaged he would have only had to charge an hour of labor.  He only charged me for Labor and NO parts.  He did say the motor was squeaking but it might last 5 years or more.  Even if the motor goes out I do not need an entire new furnace as suggested by Brothers.

I WILL NEVER USE Brother Plumbing and Heating again.  I am going to see if there is any legal action I can take due to this company use scare tactics on Seniors, Disabled people, and people dealing with NO HEAT. I also had the second guy take  a picture of the board that is NOT cracked so I can use it in court if needed.  I don't want anyone else been conned into a new Furnace if they don't really need it.

Associates are pleasant, and timely. Work is high quality and they stand behind the work they do for 2 years, much different than many other in the business. Called them after frustration with another heating/cooling company in themetro area. Highly recommend.

Had these guys out for a quote to wire up a hot tub.  The technician they sent out had zero idea what he was doing (he spent about 45 minutes on the phone with his boss asking questions).  First he said they wouldn't be able to do it because the electric panel was within five feet of where the spa was going (even though the panel is on the other side of a wall).  Suggested I called the county to check to see if that would really be a problem, even though I live within city limits and the city would be doing any inspection.  I called the county and the inspector had no idea why I was calling, because it would be a city issue.  Called the city and the inspector actually laughed at the question (because there was a wall).

Got all that out of the way and the tech then decided we needed to have an emergency shut off button ten feet away from the spa (which somehow was going to require 90 feet of conduit).  Have you ever seen a residential hot tub with an emergency shut off?  No?  Good reason.  They're only required for commercial installations.

The quote came in at over $3,000.  So I called a decent electrician who did the work for $650.

Horrible experience. I was out of town when they came to fix a back flow preventer in my sprinkler system. I had my mom meet them at my house thinking I could trust them to do a good job without my supervision. They did a good job replacing the part and were gone in less than an hour. Heres the kicker, they charged me over $700.00 for the job. My mom just signed for it because they wouldn't show her an invoice and she just trusted that that is how much it should cost. I looked up a new part online and it was $24.00. So I guess plumbers are making 320+ per hour. I called brothers and asked if I could see a detailed invoice of what I was being charged so much money for and they wouldn't give it to me. Of course there was no manager around to talk to until I threatened to cancel the payment on my Visa card. Then there was a manager right there. After trying (and failing) to figure out why the job cost so much the manager and I agreed on a price of 400 for the job. Still pretty expensive but its better than 700! It has been over 3 months and still nothing has been put back on my card. So if you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money use Brothers. If you want to be jacked around and screwed my management use Brothers. Very very bad, only gave 1 star because 0 stars aren't available.

I do not have an Issue with Brothers Technicians.  They are always professional.  My issue with Brother's plumbing is their prices.  They are outrageous.  Often twice to three times what is quoted by services such as Homeadvisor.  I came to Brother's for comprehensive care of my Air conditioning, Heating and plumbing. I joined their Homecare club to gave regular inspections and preventative maintenance
There is a monthly charge for their service which is supposed to give you a discount on their services.  Even with this discount, Brothers is fully twice as expensive as other providers for individual jobs.
Every inspection is expensive with inordinate cost for preventative maintenance that passed inspections the previous year( been using for 5 years)
Today I am having Brothers research a leak in my sprinkler system .  The problem has migrated to being a problem with the Pressure regulator for the house.  Home advisor says replacing a regulator in my zip code should be $450.  Brothers is charging $865 after a discount for being a Homecare member.  They are also charging me almost $400 for sprinkler head maintenance which were most likely faulty due to the irregular pressure in the house.

I will definitely be discontinuing my Membership.  I trusted their technicians to give me a good deal on their work and after short cursory research, I find that this company engages in extreme price gouging.

Price was outrageous!   Of course you don't find that out until they show up.  They Wouldn't even give a ballpark cost on phone. Obviously that's by my design.

They couldn't show up until late Sunday afternoon for garbage disposal repair.  Figured it would be between 300-400, but it ended up being $700.  I hate replacing these things but I will do it myself next time of call someone else.

They just lost my personal business along with all my rental units.

BEWARE! Hired Brothers Plumbing to put in a new sewage line and in addition to failing to complete the job, they attempted to collect double the price contractually agreed upon. Please do yourself a favor and call a reputable company that will not take advantage of its consumers.

Had a pipe explode and cause some flooding in the basement. Gary came over and was excellent! He fixed the pipe, actually replaced the whole area to ensure it never happens again. He was incredibly professional and friendly.

I'm glad I know Gary now and used Brothers. As a new homeowner, the market for plumbers is so saturated that sometimes it is hard to find quality and integrity. Glad I chose brothers and will do so from now on!

Thanks Gary! I kind of hope another pipe explodes to have you fix it again!

Had two hour arrival window of 1-3 pm.  No one showed up.  Called at 3:10.  Was put on hold with really loud music and announcements.  Was told the tech was 30-45 minutes away.  I asked why he would be an hour late.  They said they called earlier in the day (must have been before 1) and that they require verbal confirmation before sending a tech.  No one told me of that policy, and I don't keep my phone on me at all times.  No one had called between 1 and 3, which was the provided window.  We then started discussing pricing.  I asked what the lower and upper bounds were on a 75 gallon gas water heater, saying that I had seen the horrible reviews on yelp.  They said they had no such information, as they weren't trained to provide it.  I asked to talk to the tech to get it.  They said that could only be done during a site visit.  I said that I didn't need a visit to know that I need a new hot water heater, and that there's no point in a site visit if they're going to quote me an absurd price (again referencing these reviews) that is, for example, twice what I can get from Home Depot or Lowes.  I'm letting them still come, because I feel trapped (going without hot water for 5 days now has been rough), but I certainly cannot recommend them, regardless of the quality of the tech.

BEWARE.
Problem: Furnace motor went out, needed replacement.
1. NATHAN who just went to expert furnace school comes out and condemns furnace, due to a exchanger crack and sends me a microscopic picture of a supposed crack after not even measuring any detection of Carbon monoxide. He then wanted to sell us new one for $4850. I make a call, another company sells the same furnace install for $2300!
2. I get a follow up call 30 minutes later and a gal wanted to know when we'd like to do the new furnace install. OMG
3. I get a follow up call from a manager convincing me that my perspective is wrong as well as others who had inspected.
4. If a contractor is in the business of SELLING VS. FIXING WITHOUT SAYING SO, IT IS FRAUDULENT.
SOLUTION: GET 2 OTHER OPINIONS, I got fully professionally inspected and fixed for $580 on a saturday by a more honest technician from another company.

I hope you read these reviews before calling this company. I am writing about what happened to a friend of mine who is elderly and has dementia. Her air conditioning was not working and she wanted to have Brothers out to take a look. They were supposed to arrive between 9-12. We waited - nothing. I called and they said I had the time wrong. I didn't and they finally admitted that. Repair person got tied up someone would be out around 3. Repair person shows up but when he heard ac unit was on roof he said he wasn't certified to work on it. He called and got service free waived and arranged for another repair person. Second person arrives around 6. Unfortunately I had to leave. He kept looking at the heating thermostat and not the ac thermostat which is on the second level. He couldn't figure out what was wrong so he had to call another person to come help him. They said the ac needed a new thermostat and charged my friend 550. To replace. They did not leave any receipt for her payment. I thought how can a thermostat replacement cost so much. I called to get a copy of the receipt. This sounds simple but for Brothers it wasn't. I had to call 5 times before someone called me back today. I basically said I didn't see how replacing a thermostat can cost 550. I got some BS about the repair person having to do a diagnostic. I told him I think they overcharge and I wouldn't be using them again and the reply was if that's how you feel. They could care less about customer satisfaction. As far as I am concerned they take advantage of the elderly and even more so if the person is suffering from dementia. The thermostat is around 100. Retail and you know they get them retail. This company is totally inept and I don't know how they stay in business. There are other companies out there to call and I suggest you do so. Don't get taken advantage of.

Our shower handle got stuck in the on position so the water couldn't be turned off! Had to shut down the water main for the whole house. I had Brothers out to my house and asked them about the cost to install a new water heater.  $600 just for the labor of connecting 3 pipes already in place. They told me it would take 45 minutes to hook up the appliance and haul the old one away.  I was told by the two guys that came out that the reason they're expensive is that they're good.  I asked them to give me a quote because I'm finishing my basement and was curious to see if it was worth my time to have them do it. Not so much now.

I can get Waste Management to haul the old off for $35 once it is curbside.  I'll just order one myself and install it.   I understand why contractors get such a bad reputation,- because they figure everyone they meet is ignorant and therefore they can charge whatever they want and get it.  I look at it this way- I expect quality service at a reasonable price.  I don't think that's asking too much.  I found a licensed journey electrician that works like that and I've had him come out for things outside of my basement wiring install.

I think most of the contractors think Hmmm, I'll gouge you now because I'll never see you again.  How about offer a fair price and maybe I'll hire you again for other things? What a concept.

Explained our situation clearly and made an appointment for an estimate on a new system in a reno.  Waited a week with the anticipation of using Brothers Plumbing Heating & Electric and an hour before the appointment they called to inform me that they don't do complete installations.  The manager was certainly gracious not wanting to waste my time but they had already accomplished that by letting a week go by before someone competent reviewed the notes.   Google reviews gives Brothers a 4.5 star rating but yelp disagrees and so do i....i should have reviewed yelp first.

My experience is similar to many others here. The plumber I trust was busy and told me to call Brothers. I did. They sent someone out. I went from having a leak underground to having water pooling where the problem area is. They then quoted me $5400 to fix what they made worse. When I called the office, they took Zero Responsibility and hung up on me. Don't use them. Crooks.

My first experience with Brothers was very pleasant.  I called them to service my furnace in a place I had just bought.  The technician was courteous, nice, and when he realized that my system was not one they are familiar with, he refunded the service call fee and provided me information on the system that helped me to find a company that could perform a service call.

It turns out, that the whole furnace needed to be replaced.   Since I had a nice first experience I thought I would give Brothers the chance to quote the replacement job.   They came back out to my property and prepared the estimate.  I was satisfied with the quote as they were more competitive that the other company so I scheduled the job with Brothers.

When the installer arrived and started to to scope the job, he stated that the person that prepared the estimate significantly under-scoped the job.  Not only would they need to prepare a new estimate, but there was no chance the work would be done on the scheduled day.  Keep in mind this is the Monday before thanksgiving and Denver was having record low temps!  The new price was almost DOUBLE the first estimate which also included a recommendation and quote for a new water heater.

My frustration with this situation is not the final quote, but the fact that I specifically scheduled them to come to perform an estimate and I paid for that estimate.   I am not a heating and cooling expert.  They purportedly are the experts.   I expect that a professional company would properly scope the job the first time especially since they came to the property to perform the estimate.

I would give no stars if that was an option.  I requested a technician for a dripping bathroom faucet, low water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom and a noisy garbage disposal.  I was given a price of $750-$800 for a 1/2 horsepower disposal replacement.  I was told I would need a new main water pressure gauge but when I asked to see the meter reading I was told his meter was broken yet was given a quote of $1400.00 to repair it. He did actually fix the bathroom sink with parts I provided for $247.00.  He was here less than an hour and spent as much time sitting in his truck as he did quoting and repairing. The manager that called was an even bigger waste of time than the technician was with zero effort at any making the customer happy which was all I heard when I booked the appointment and then when 2 different people called about my survey. They offered a preferred customer package for $19.95 a month but I wouldn't use these guys again if they paid me $19.95 a month.  Too many other plumbing companies out there to have to use these guys again.

I called Brothers Plumbing to fix a problem I was having with a drain in my condo. They promptly came out and told me it was a problem with the main. The next day after talking to my management company I called Brothers back with some updated info. Brothers came back the following day with lots of equipment. After 3.5 hrs and $500 I was told me there was something wrong with the way the pipes ran. After calling my management company back they said they had a plumber who might be able to help. The plumber recommended by the management company came out and after 45min he was finished. Pretty disappointed that I was charged for something they couldn't fix. I would look elsewhere before calling Brothers Plumbing if I have another problem.

Update to my review: Brothers Plumbing reached out to me and asked me to call them. So I did. After talking to two very helpful  people in management who actually listened to my side of the issue instead of thinking they knew everything, they wanted to refund me the total
amount I was charged. I told them I didn't expect anything for free and was willing to split the bill. They insisted on refunding the total amount.
Even though they weren't able to fix the plumbing issue, they were very professional and understanding in resolving our dispute which earns them the 4 stars I gave. Thank you Brothers Plumbing.

Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Electric randomly called us and told us that we were due for a furnace check and that they could swing by the next day. We agreed. Upon arrival, the maintenance person told us that if he found something wrong with our furnace, he would have to condemn it and shut it off. We asked if this was a Colorado law and he said it was company policy. We agreed since we had just moved into our new home and we're not as familiar with Colorado practices. The house had just been inspected two weeks ago so we knew our furnace was working properly.

The maintenance person didn't find anything wrong with our furnace after doing a thorough inspection, however, he said there were lethal levels of carbon monoxide coming out of our vents so he had to shut off our furnace on the day we got a foot of snow! I couldn't get this guy out of our house fast enough because at that point, we had figured out he planned on condemning our furnace no matter what. We called for a second opinion and then called for Xcel Energy to come verify the carbon monoxide levels. Xcel did their own reading. We found out that the levels weren't remotely close to being lethal (the reading was zero for the entire 30 minutes the Xcel representative was in our home).

Before leaving the maintenance person said that it would cost us about $9,000 to replace the furnace and that they could do it tomorrow. He said that if we didn't book immediately, they couldn't guarantee that they could still come replace the furnace the next day. What a scam!

After doing a little digging in Google Reviews, we found that 4 other people had been told the same thing. This is essentially an unethical sales scam to get us to buy a new furnace.

We won't be doing business with this company ever again.

I have a very standard job that needs to be done to wire up a hot tub to my electric panel. The panel is 6 ft away from the hot tub. Brand new panel. Easy job. Was going to send them pictures and give precise details of everything so that I could get a quote. They wouldn't even consider it. Their ONLY option (LOL) was to send a technician out for $60 who would then be able to give me precise pricing. Why would I donate $60 to Brothers AND take time out of my busy work day to accommodate them coming out if their costs aren't even in my price range and I'd just have to start this process over?? I will NEVER do business with companies who force fees on you before any work is done, just to get a quote. EVER. Good luck w/ that business model Brother's. Probably works on all the suckers out there but not on me, and countless others.

Don't buy into the customer preferred monthly payment for free home inspections.
What a scam!
No service technicians available twice when I needed them but they'll certainly come out and tell me what they'd like to charge me to fix.

Once you sign up you're going to pay with an auto deduction whether you allow them to come or not and you can't cancel until the end of a year.
OH AND DON'T MISS YOU OPPORTUNITY TO CANCEL OR IT WILL RENEW!!

Despite paying for a service I won't use I'm still using a different Heating and Air Service.
Learned my lesson!

We've used Brothers Plumbing on two occasions and both times had great experiences!  They are prompt, professional and get the job done quickly and efficiently.  This last time it was for our AC unit that wasn't working.  We called at least five different companies.   Of the one that actually answered and booked an appointment - he ended up being a no show.  My husband called Brothers Plumbing and they made the appointment for the following morning between 8 and 8:30am.  Not 8 and Noon or Noon to 5.  Their window was 30 minutes and Dan came to my door by 8:15am!  He assessed the problem and let me know what it would take to fix it.  I didn't think the price was bad at all.  In the end, we ended up signing up with their Home Care Club which is a great deal - they come out to the house multiple times a year to inspect and start up my AC and Heater.  They flush the water heater and do a complete inspection of all electrical and plumbing in the house.  Plus that gives me a discount on their services and the show up fee is waived.  There's more but I won't list it all here.  Seriously, we're very happy to have called Brothers and looking forward to more quality work from them.

DO NOT hire this company to do anything!!  We hired them to inspect and clean our furnace.  The price was 3 TIMES what they quoted on the phone and then our furnace would not work afterwards.  A licensed electrician had to fix it and strongly believes the service tech from Brothers sabotoged the furnace by disconnecting a wire inside and tucking it away where it wasn't easy to see.  FRAUDULENT COMPANY....DO NOT USE!!

Josh called us and showed up at the billing address instead of the place that needed the scope.  We later saw that it clearly stated where he had to be on the work order.  He finally figured out where to go.

We called the main office 2 days later to ask what day we could expect the video of the scope to be mailed or if we could pick-up the video of the scope from their office.  The receptionist put us on hold for 10 minutes then transferred us to a line that just rang.  We called their business line on another phone at the same time and they started laughing.  She picked up the other line where she transferred to a number that just rang and said that her manager, Justin would be with me shortly.  That wasn't the case.  She came back on the line after 2 minutes and stated that the video would be mailed out this week.  I asked for a specific date or if I could come in to pick it up (for the 4th time) and she stated the same thing - avoiding the questions.

Hung up on them.  Will report to BBB in a few days if the video does not show up.

My appointment, which I scheduled more than two weeks ago, was at 10am. Technician came at 12:20 with a lot of excuses.  Once we got going on the sprinkler blowout it soon became evident that Drake (name on shirt anyway) wasn't the most knowledgeable.  I left for a minute and came back to have him telling me I had a leak in the pipe (between water shut off and backflow).  It wasn't there when I ran my system two weeks ago.  Suspicious.  Then he had a bucket up there and was catching the water that never seemed to end.  I questioned how that could be since the water was shut off and there was no pressure in the system, how was so much water running Up to the pipe.  He stepped away and I moved the lever to turn the water on/off a bit and it turned off, with no more water flow.  (!?).  Then he didn't seem to understand until I insisted he could still blow my lines out as the line from the backflow to the house was closed and wouldn't be impacted by the air pressure.  Once he finally got started I questioned the level of pressure being used as it seemed extreme for my gear driven sprinklers.  Sure enough one stopped moving as we were blowing the water/air out.  He says that is normal, but I all but guarantee I will have to replace that sprinkler head next Spring.  Long after I can lay blame on them as they will have more time and excuses to say it wasn't their fault.

Tag line is prompt, professional, and reliable.  I didn't get any of that today.  I waited 2.5 hours for a seemingly less than qualified tech with a lot of excuses.

And honestly, I don't feel that any one will really care.  I now have a pipe that needs replaced.  I asked for an estimate.  Drake said I would have to call the office because he only does sprinklers (lines to the house is part of that, right!?).

I won't be calling Brothers for this.

The plumbers showed up on time!  Which is huge for me. They were extremely nice and helpful. They tackled problems I didn't know I had. They stayed in communication the whole time. They told me what they needed to do and did what I asked them to do.
It was a real pleasure, as always.

Wanted $59 just to give me a quote!  Only company I called that wanted to charge me to give me quote, what an awful rip off company. If I were only rating the technicians I would give them 5 stars.  Professional and courteous.  The problem is the cost.  Their prices are way too much.  I paid $700 for a new kitchen faucet.  They would only install their faucet.  It leaked after several months.  It was defective so they replaced it with the same model.  The new one is now leaking.  I'm sure that they would come out at no charge and replace the new one, but I'm not interested.  My handy man will replace with one that I choose for about $150.  They put in new hot water heaters, and have done some other services.  I'm embarrassed to tell how much I paid.  The quality of the work was good, but I now know that I could have had the same service for much less.

This company should have no stars and they have earned every horrible review you see here.  They make their money by fleecing property owners who are in a plumbing bind rather than providing honest service at a reasonable and customary rate-  is that too much to ask ?  Yes it is with these con artists.  Read on if you want the details.

We had a water heater fail at a rental property and both my husband and myself were extremely stressed/busy with our day jobs.  We actually care when our tenants have no hot water so we relied on the quick responsive service call on a weekend.  The tech was great but the game they play is they keep calling the supervisor to clear what they are doing and the supervisor tells them they need to add another costly item-  classic good cop bad cop.  They know you are often desperate to get a job like this done.    Go through this phone call process 5 more times and we have paid $3500 for an effing water heater install.  That's more than we paid for the furnace and duct work at the house.  My husband was stressed with work and sick about participating in this and I hit the roof when I found out the cost-  not helpful for either of us as we didn't have time to mess around with getting other quotes on a weekend- or making the tenants go without hot water for a few days.  To add insult to injury at the last minute they suggested we needed some tray to bring the job  up to code-  $1000- price tag $4500 for a water heater.

Unfortunately we paid these fools and I still feel sick for being such an easy sucker. It would do my heart good if even one other decent unsuspecting person can avoid these shady people.   Don't even think about them for any sized job unless you really want to get taken for an expensive and completely dishonest ride.

I had some electrical issues with my house and called these guys up on a referral. They sent over Rick & Drake who did a great job. They fixed my unusual (to say the least) electrical socket setup that was probably done by the previous owner with no electrical experience. The work was a bit more than they quoted for but they kept the original price and ended up resolving more than one issue. They also looked at getting power back to my detached garage and went through all the potential options with me.

The only reason it's 4 instead of 5 stars is that they re-scheduled to the next day the day of. A call the previous day would have been better, but I understand that sometimes things have to get rescheduled at the last minute.

The good: once we finally got a technician to our home, he was fantastic - cheerful, helpful, did good work.

The bad: They cancelled the appointment 3 times and finally showed up by duress for the 4th appointment. One of the 3 'cancellations' they called ahead. The other two they just didn't show up. Each time we called, they answered the phone with 'how can we make you smile' but when we told them how they could make us smile - by honoring their commitment, they assured us that they have to prioritize their 'customers of 30 years' over their 'new customers.'

I prefer a company that simply honors their word and when they cannot keep their word, they apologize and make up for it.

My wife called the owner to complain after 1 cancel and 2 no shows and he called back and left an incredibly gruff and rude message for her. I called him telling him I didn't appreciate his approach and he doubled down on how little we mean to him and how he must 'prioritize his 30 year customers over us' as if he has SO many 30 year customers. Come on. It isn't a dichotomy between those two populations. If in fact this man is an owner, I highly recommend you keep him from talking to customers.

So, 1 star.

If they had apologized each time they cancelled/no showed, it would be 3 or even 4 stars.

I have no problem with a business simply calling and saying, 'we're so sorry, we're overbooked' or 'we're very sorry, other customers had emergencies, we'll make it up to you.' But to cancel or ignore appointments and then double down against a customer? Not good.

My husband initiated the service call and I wasn't here when the gentleman came to our house, but when I got home his truck was in front of the house, I thought, uh oh this can't be good. Our furnace made a ghostly sound and my husband told our service person that his mother-in-law (my mom) has just passed and was hoping she wasn't haunting us (all in dark humor). He fixed our furnace, not a ghost, but a motor issue.  A couple of days later a flower delivery arrived with the kindest card of condolences.... OK really??  I don't expect anything but good service from a repair person, but that was over the top. It shows that the repair man not only listened to my husband but has a heart. When it's time to replace, I will call Brothers.  I'm totally blown away!!!!

This is by far my favorite HVAC company. I was lucky as I chose them 10 years ago when I moved here and they serviced my hvac for years. Fair pricing, transparency when working with the technician, clean.

I moved a few years ago now and had to work with other companies because of it being new construction. They were awful...long waits for service, trouble finding issues. Well that all changed for me today. I called my good faithful to get our heat working. Glad I did. Brothers was here in 2 hours and they can support the warranty work.

Thank you!

TL;DR RUN AWAY!!!
Unbelievably bad. Called for a swamp cooler estimate and stated I wanted a reasonable price.  Oh, we are very reasonable. We want our customers happy.  Two days later, after getting estimates I thought high from other companies, I called again, saying that if I was going to pay $59 for an estimate, I wanted choices. We do not rip off our customers. We are not that kind of company.
We'll, they sent Andre, who was so clueless he did not know about Xcel's rebate program which can run $600-$1,200 and is one of the first things mentioned by other companies.  It could be said my neighbor's eight year old knows more about swamp coolers that Andre.
Brothers' estimate was $4,000 more than the highest estimate I'd received, and $5,000 more than the lowest, practically one swamp cooler for the price of two. It was a boilerplate estimate straight from the company playbook with zero details, the only offer available. Also, from my call to their visit a tad over a week later they raised the price on the estimate by 12% to $67!  I am waiting for a manager callback.
Note: Andre was pleasant and did the best he could without training.
RUN AWAY!

Please Read this.

I had a main water line brake going into my house.  I called Brothers and they came right out.   The estimator (owners son) told me that it was a large job to fix and priced out at $6500.00

I went onto Home Advisor to get a second quote.   Dave from A-1 drains said it would be an easy fix and quoted me $1500.00.    The job was completed the next day.

Beware:  Get a second quote.   I saved $5000.00.

I had a clog in the line coming from the bathroom sink. First, they won't give you an estimate over the phone. Secondly, the charge a $45 travel fee. They busted the pipe in the upstairs bathroom trying to snake the line and then charged me $320 to replumb it. In their defense, the line was old and didn't have self-guiding fittings, but they release about a gallon of water into the downstairs bathroom cabinet and floor. They were able to clean out the clog by coming in from the downstairs sink, which they could have done from the beginning! They also left ground up dry wall in the upstairs bathroom cabinet and in the family room where they cut out two access holes. They were prompt and worked until 10:00 at night to finish the job and I was grateful for that.

Our Mainline backed up so called Brothers come out to snake and camera the line. We were told they could do both. He he snaked the line and gave us the incorrect diagnosis. (come to find out he didn't snake the entire line). His snake came back completely clean and he didn't know why but told us that the pipe was probably broken. Then he told us we needed to make a separate appointment to run the camera and they couldn't come out until the following day. Well it turns out the camera doesn't show anything under water. Why did he set up an appointment for the camera knowing that the line was still full of water?? I didn't realize it wouldn't show anything, but shouldn't he know it was useless to spend another $100 to do the camera. He does this every day, right? Didn't tell us much except for both techs said the pipe must be broken there. The tech gave us an estimate of $16,000.00 to repair our line, which included tearing up our street!
We got another plumber to come out for another estimate and he ran his snake through the line and it was completely full of roots. We had the line cleared and repaired for a fraction of the cost and without tearing up our street. When asking Brothers about their  Customer Satisfaction Guarantee  it seems its  only the Brothers satisfaction Guarantee! The guarantee is they will do the job again if your not satisfied.
I'm glad I cut my losses and didn't have them come back.

Customer Service was courteous and they were able to schedule a technitian promptly.  They called prior to dispatching the tech...I was impressed with their efficiency.  The techs were professional, clean, and seemed to be knowledgeable.

The problem I have is with their estimates/pricing.

1. There material mark-up was over 100% compared to internet prices.  Typical material mark-up from a contractor is 15% to 20% on materials.

2. Service/Operating charge for a 1 hour job was $450.  I feel this is extremely high.

3. There is a $79 show up fee on top of the repair estimate which I feel should have been included with the repair.

If you're in a hurry, have an emergency, and are willing to pay inflated prices Brothers Plumbing is ok.

I rated this company one star but really should be a negative five stars! My parents who are 88 and 90 called them to replace the float valve assembly in the toilet. They charged them $330 dollars for what was maybe $30 in parts and less than one hour of work. When I found out about it I called Brothers and was referred to a supervisor by the name of John. This was a total waste of time as he felt the price was same as they would charge anyone except they were given a 5% discount for being seniors. I had called two other plumbers and asked what the normal price would be and both were $80 to $100. Tom Martino used to mean something to me but now I think all he stands for is money for his endorsement that means nothing!!!

Beware and do not call Brothers Plumbing

Avoid! The company's Vice President, Justin K., is a rude, condescending, misogynistic jerk. We were Home Club Members for several years until the way the company's Vice President treated my wife over the phone. She was left shaking and on the verge of tears after their call. When I called him back to ask him what the hell he said to my wife, he hung up on me.

The guy is just an unprofessional prick. I did a search for him on the company's site, and it turns out he's related to the owner sisters. Probably their brother, who has been with the company forever. No wonder he feels entitled to treat women like this over the phone. He knows he can never be fired. Nepotism at its worst.

This company is complete garbage.

I scheduled a sprinkler start up so that I wouldn't worry about my lawn while away for a two-week training program.  Definitely throws a wrench in my careful calculations to get notice this morning that Brother's is not working today due to inclement weather.  So I'm not saying that I endorse dangerous practices for your employees, but I am pretty shocked that my appointment for today was cancelled due to the weather.  In fact, rather than sugest that they would wait & see what happens with the weather, Brother's is just taking the day off!  I guess I would be more understanding if the weather outside was frightful.  But as of 8:45 this morning, it's just drizzling and the sky above is cloudy and overcast.  This is the second time that Brother's Plumbing has let me down.  I gave them a second chance.  There will not be a third.

I would leave -5 (negative 5) if I could. We had them come give us an estimate which turned into a $167 sprinkler start up (mind you, our system has been up and running for months). I wanted some specific areas addressed that aren't getting enough water. They said, no problem, our $167 start up will address all these issues. Well, the $167 that they quickly took paid for NOTHING. Furthermore, they didn't even listen to my description of the issues. They then produced plans for thousands of dollars worth of work that they could do to make improvements.
I wanted a competitive bid. I got a $167 scam. Multiple calls to them have proven to me that this company is in it for a quick buck (or 167 of them) and has no desire to achieve customer satisfaction.
DON'T EVEN CALL THEM. THERE ARE A LOT OF GREAT LOCAL COMPANIES WHO WILL PREFORM THIS WORK.

I'm really disappointed in this company. I just moved into a new house and need the furnace to be cleaned and maintained. When the technician arrived, he said the cheapest thing he could do would be $228 to clean the furnace, but that didn't include actually taking it apart in any way (the part that's dirtiest, the blower wheel, would be an extra $297). The final cost would be over $600 to clean the furnace. He tried to sell me the entire time on a maintenance plan that's $200+/yr. I had to pay an $80 fee for them coming out but refused services. Wow, I have heard their commercials for years on the radio and now I know why.  Poor customer service and gross overcharging for a new thermostat.

Two weeks ago, our furnace thermostat went haywire and began running continuously even when we turned down the heat.  We called Brothers because of the inspections they gave and they came out and inspected the furnace.  They determined that the thermostat control was faulty and they replaced it and charged us $411.50 for replacing the control, $350 for the control panel.  Later, we found the same control interface for $35 on Amazon.com. The technician then told us that everything in the furnace was fine and that the filter was clean and looked good.

Two weeks later on Christmas Eve, out furnace began blowing cold air and the heat wouldn't come on. We called brothers and they sent another technician who was very nice and checked everything and found that the furnace filter we had was completely blocked and full of garbage.  We were shocked and very angry about this and asked why this had happened to which the tech couldn't answer.  He cleaned the filter and determined that the blocked filter was causing the heat sensor to over heat and it would shut of the heat and begin cooling the exchange unit.

We are severely disappointed by brothers and from now on, I will not be using them again.  I hope you can answer for this Brothers, in both the poor training of your techs and the gross overcharging of products that are found for a fraction of the price on the internet.

Oh and PS.  I would prefer an actual personal response and not your dumb, automated, we can find you in the system response you give on every single poor review people have given you.  Grow up and respond with some actual personal and quality customer service response.  Thank you

Don't use them! I had a sewer line issue 10 years ago and they replaced my line to the street. The line they replaced had become disconnected. The plumber I hired to scope the line (and who did a great job of patching the line) also informed me that Brothers did not replace the last 4 feet of clay pipe! He also informed me that there was no reason why they should not have done that at the time they replaced my sewer line! He replaced it. When I called them and asked why and asked for a partial refund, they said they had no notes on it and gave a lame excuse of it was was too close to the porch. They did not refund any money to me for their half-assed job!

So wish I had read reviews before EVER allowing these con artists in my home. Where to begin... called them to service our AC, of course, we needed an entirely new air conditioner. Since I had no idea I would be scammed, and my AC was older, I let them install a new one. Guess what? Didn't work any better than the old one! The home just didn't lend itself to AC efficiency, given the open staircase from basement to upper floors. Oh well, like I said, it was older to begin with. Called them back for a leaky toilet, they put a new wax ring in, charged me 200.00 bucks, and I had to call them back within a week to replace THAT ring, as the toilet was now leaking onto the floor. We needed faucets replaced when we got new countertops. They charged me $900.00 to install 3 new faucets. There were 3 guys here, all day, and they really put on a show of struggling, so I paid them. Yes, I'm kicking myself. Here's where the scam got real. One of the guys called me over to my laundry room, put his finger behind my washing machine connections and pulled it back, very wet. He told me I had a leak there and it was under such pressure, if I didn't fix it, it could break while I was gone and cause thousands in damage. Well, I was beginning to get a little wise to these guys, finally, thanked him for the tip, and refused his offer to fix it for $1300.00 bucks. I checked the leak several times during the course of the year, and it was always bone dry. And finally... the office was badgering us by phone to get our free furnace tune up. My husband, unbeknownst to me, scheduled it. You guessed it, we needed a new furnace! Suffice to say, I asked the gentleman to leave. What do you know, the furnace lasted through the cold winter! During  the sale of our home, the only thing the inspector mentioned wrong with it was that it needed to be cleaned and serviced! He said it didn't look like it had been done in a few years. What? That's what Brothers was supposed to be doing the last time they were there! Since my experience with Brothers, I have used referral services. I've gotten great, honest, help with all my home service needs. Live and learn, and stay far, far away from these charlatans.

Lade I spoke with would not give me any prices. So I said ok, when their plumber took a look he said it was a classic case of needing to clean out the main. Told me it would be ~$450 (looked it up on his ipad to get the correct number) - I said ok. Said it was done, we ran water and still clogged. So he told me that he only could go 120 ft and needed another 50 ft line - which would then cost and additional $350. Really? For more cable...? Yes. OK, well he was already here. Runs another 15ft and then comes to tell me the pipe is collapsed. I would have to spend another $350 for a camera team to take a look to then decide what to do (which would cost in the thousands somewhere). $800 for an attempt to clean a main = ridiculous. I would have appreciated knowing about an option to camera it first and saved the dollars. Go with a cheaper, more reputable company.

I deeply regret using this company for my home.  We signed up for their annual customer account.  Called them up today to schedule a sprinkler blowout to find that our annual membership expired without any phone call or letter from them.  They offered no solutions after having my husband transferred 3 times to different people!  We also had outstanding items for them to do which they never followed up.  And earlier this year when they did send a tech to perform work on our sprinkler system, their worker (unkempt and distracted) left our home without any notice whatsoever and left the work area unfinished.  We called Brothers immediately and they did have someone else come out to finish up the job but they were clearly confused by the actions of their worker.  My recommendation, having been a business owner myself, is that you should look for another firm and avoid the frustrations that we just went through.  Very unprofessional company.  If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Well this is the first negative review I've ever written.  After the recent hail storm I had 2 large holes in the top of my evaporative cooler.  Brothers installed it over 12 years ago and has done the servicing for fall and spring time a number of times.  They did come out and repair it the day I called ...good news. Bad news...They charged over $450 more than the highest price of other companies I called (the day after).  After trying to see if they would refund any of the $926 they charged me, they said they couldn't because of the high quality service and training they have with their employees. I encourage you to call around and do your homework before you hire this company.  I cannot recommend them any more.

Run.  Just run.  Do not hire these guys.

They are more responsive and schedule an appointment sooner than most, which is where the 1 star comes from.  That, and the fact that you can't give 0 stars.

The rest is awful.  You've been warned.

I hired them because I was getting my house ready to sell, and wanted them to handle some electrical stuff that I knew was not to code before it got listed.  They removed some weird wiring in my basement as requested.  In the process, they opened my fuse box, and found some issues there that weren't to code.

Make it follow code, I said.  Pretty clear instruction, right?

Paid them $500.

Listed the house, found a buyer... time for inspection.

The box is not to code, according to the inspector.

The issue was easy to see, even for a non-electrician, and the fix was a 1 minute job that didn't require any materials or special tools.  Had I called Brothers again, it would have cost an additional $80 service call and $150 to do the work - those are their flat rate fees.  There's no doubt in my mind that the Brothers electrician saw that issue and decided not to solve it, knowing full well that the inspector would find it.

These jerks give contractors a bad name.

I have had a long term drain issue.  Two months ago another company came out and snaked my drains.  All was well ... for 3 weeks.  Then another back up!  I called Brothers because they could snake/ auger but also jet spray, (3,000 psi), the lines.  They did a great job!  Very professional.  And the DVD of the camera they put down after the cleaning reveals the reasons for my long term problems.  It was an original construction issue.  Brothers was great.  Highly recommend.

Check the reviews and avoid these people.  For some reason I called then last week for an appointment even though the last time I used them the result was sub par.  I had to completely rearrange my schedule to make the appointment which they canceled 30 minutes prior.  I suppose I should be thankful.  Stay away!

Had three different services scheduled.  They cancelled the first one just moments before the two hour window was to begin (not weather related) and rescheduled for the next day.  The next day they called me 15 minutes prior to the two hour window expiring to tell me that they would be another 45 minutes to hour and a half away (also not weather related).  So there are two day's shot with no work completed, and my time wasted waiting for Brother's to arrive.  This is a real challenge, as I had to take time off from work to be available for the work to be completed.  Spoke with John, the manager, who literally said, well, all I can do is offer you an apology.  Guess what, that's not all you can do.  Once the remaining scheduled work is complete (if it ever is), I will be changing vendors for plumbing, heating and electrical.  They answer the phone, how can I make you smile?  That's not going to happen.  The side of their trucks say always on time, that isn't true either.  Side note, all of the technicians I have had come to my home have been very polite and professional.

Like the other reviews they way overcharge.   They won't quote you over the phone so the service guy shows up with outrageous pricing on top of the $45 trip fee.   Service guy was fine so not a knock on him but he was here for 30 minutes to unclog a kitchen drain line.  Standard price is $279 plus the $45.

So, if you have 1 clogged drain expect that fee.

I will use and recommend somebody else in the future.

I used them once on a swamp cooler and blow out and they did a good job.  So I tried  to use them again and was almost taken for $2400 for work on a boiler that only needed a minor repair totaling $425!  They shut down the unit for 4 nights due to high Carbon Monoxide and then also quoted me $11,000 for a new unit since my boiler was unsafe.
They did not even have meter to determine the level of carbon monoxide and when I questioned the rising prices they immediately dropped the price by $600?  I called a
small father/son company and they did a great job.  AVOID these people at Brothers at all costs!

Holy cow, do not call these guys. $550 for a main line clean out?  Preposterous!  Tech was on site (tech was super nice), quoted me and I couldn't believe it. Called into the office And was told they don't negotiate on price whicH I guess is fine. To add insult to injury had to pay a $49 service call.

Bottom line, send tech on his way with their $49, called the other guys who came in an hour and chargeD $99

Scheduled an estimate for toilet replacement.  The rep on the phone seemed very confused and I had to repeat myself several times throughout the call.  She was obviously reading from a script and was more interested in trying to sell me a subscription to their service than book the appointment.

Due to an unexpected issue, we had to reschedule (3 days prior to the appointment).  The second rep was much more competent but was unable to find my original appointment.  After several minutes of searching, he discovered the appointment was scheduled to the wrong address and was able to get it straightened out.

The tech that showed up was very friendly and helpful, but did not give us any custom quote instead quoting us $1000 per toilet replaced regardless of condition.

In essence they charged us a $45 service fee to give us a generic quote they could have given us over the phone.

My experience left me feeling ripped off, and that the company cares more about upselling than anything else.  I will not be using them for the work we need done.

I wanted to update my review as I had a very rough day today that turned out well because of Brothers Plumbing.  Brothers did some plumbing work for me awhile back.  They warranty their work, but it became apparent that I had a burst pipe where the work had been done a few years ago.  My warranty had slightly expired, and fortunately I did not have water damage.  I called Brothers and they sent someone out today, which was great.  When they removed all the parts they discovered one of the parts they installed was faulty.  It was not their work but an the defective valve that caused the damage.  Brian told me he would call his boss, and when he came back, he said it would be replaced at no charge due to the warranty.  He did a first class job, and I was very impressed with the way they backed their promise with their warranty.  They have a two year warranty on their work, and it is good to know they stand by it.  Because of this excellent service and commitment to their work, I will still remain a good customer.  High Five to Brian for his work, and Christina who set up my appointment today.

Oh my goodness. If I could give a 0 I would. I joined their club and pay $20 a month for membership. I have tried to schedule service twice since joining and both times they have called and cancelled the appointment.  The appt I had scheduled for today
, which they just cancelled, was the result of a previous cancellation by them earlier this week. When I voiced my extreme displeasure with the unreliability, when they called today to once again cancel, they stated they were not cancelling, they just needed to reschedule for another day - again! Apparently they feel that a ridiculous statement like that was reasonable and appropriate.     These serial cancellations (or as they distinguish it - their need to reschedule multiple times) shows a complete lack of respect for a customer's time and busy schedule.
I like anyone who works outside the home, arranged my work day to accommodate the appt, time they gave me. Unfortunately they  think nothing of cancelling at at the last minute and then  insult your intelligence when you rightfully express displeasure with the company's unreliability. I have never given a company a 1 rating but then I've never dealt with such poor service and lack of reliability.  Please look elsewhere for service  if you respect your time, because they do not!

I was incredibly disappointed and shocked by our last service call to Brother's this month.

We've used Brother's in the past.  Generally speaking, their plumbing technicians are prompt, friendly, reliable, and do the job without trying to oversell or overcharge.  After this visit, I'm changing my tune.

We set up an appointment over the phone earlier in the week when we discovered the toilet in our children's bathroom was leaking.  This part was easy.   We were given an appointment window of 8-10am toward the end of the week.  So far so good.

However, the day of our appointment, while we had been told to expect our plumber no later than 8:30am, he failed to contact us to advise he was on the way.  I called Brothers at 8:45 to check status as hubby works from home and was planning his schedule around the plumber.  I was told there was a team meeting and our plumber should be there shortly.  Well, 10am came and went, and I called again.   Yup, plumber running late, he'll be there soon.  Soon meant 10:45am.  No apology.  No explanation.

Oh, and the service call?  He took one look at the toilet, said,Yup, it's leaking! Did not physically check the toilet at any point and bluntly states he could replace it for $1440!!

We felt this was outrageous and sent him on his way.  We later called Brothers to ask what they based the quote on and were given a flimsy explanation that the plumber must have just quoted for the toilet he uses in his own home.  When we advised the rep we were taking our business elsewhere, he offered to drop the cost to $800.  Uh, no.

We went to Lowe's, purchased our own, and had Lowe's install it to the tune of $376 *total!*

While I appreciate that they at least waived the service fee for showing up at our house (which I suspect was due to me voicing my concerns on their Facebook page), I can't justify any more than one star.  Too many red flags!  We won't use their services again.

We requested service to have the roots scraped from our pipes. While their my wife asked to look at the pressure on the Water Heater. The plumber saw that the venting on the water heater was not to code. Then said he had to fix it and it would cost $465 dollars. He said to let him fix it or he would have to turn off the gas. And if my wife didn't allow him to then he would call the fire department to turn it off to the entire house.  Reality of the matter is that he the plumber doesn't have authorization to turn off the gas. We as the customer have that say. The fire department said they wouldn't turn off the gas unless there was indication of an imminent explosion so they wouldn't have turned off the gas. The plumber was trying to railroad my wife into paying $465 dollars to replace the venting. I rushed home and stopped by home depot got the parts and installed the proper venting myself in about 30 minutes and it costs me all of about $18 dollars. I feel really bad for anyone this plumber and or company has railroaded into paying for something they were forced into with threats of turning off the gas in the cold weather we've been having. After all was said and done they over charged for the pipe scraping $300 when usually it costs about $175. They did have good customer service over the phone but don't let these guys rip you off!

I called Brothers to get an estimate for an electric tankless water heater to be installed. The technician came only to tell us they don't install electric tankless water heaters because Colorado is too cold. Then he tried to charge us the $45 for an estimate that he didn't write. He was in our home for less than 3 minutes and I will never be calling Brothers for service again. Your employees should know your products so when people call they can say right then whether the service can be provided.

I joined the club for them to come out and do inspections on HVAC and plumbing items each year.  At $20 per month, I was paying them to come into my home and tell me what WAS NEEDED to be repaired so they could over charge for their shady service.  I couldn't be there for the furnace check-up, but they told my wife it had better be replaced now as carbon monoxide would be an issue if not.  It was a horse-$hit sales pitch to scare her.  While I don't take the carbon monoxide lightly, I had a second opinion and was told it was fine and didn't need replacing at this point.  Not to mention, their replacement quote, with the club discount was thousands higher than another quote I received for comparison.  Shady... overpriced... and should be avoided at ALL cost.

Unscrupulous business with no ethics!
Don't bother with this business. Called them out in May 2019 for a quote on a new AC unit. They gave me a quote and had me pay a $200 deposit with the understanding that if I changed my mind all they'd keep was the $50 to come out. I happened to get two other quotes from different Companies on the same day and both were less than half of what they quoted me for the same standard AC. I called to cancel a few hours on the same day and asked for a refund of my $150. Not only did they refuse, the Manager wouldn't even give me a courtesy call back. I was so disgusted that a Company can take such advantage of people. Under no circumstance should you place a deposit with them. They'll do it in bad faith and they will quote you prices that are way above market, so please do your due diligence and don't get duped - they lied to me that they would refund my deposit. A company that cheats people to make money in such petty ways should not be allowed to do business. This was the branch in Thornton, Colorado by the way. Steer clear from them. There are way more honest people doing the same business in this area.

So had one of my electrical outlets not working so these guys came out to look at it charge me 79 to go then call my wife and tell her they have to run a diagnostic charge us another 200 and some dollars to do this. Then they give me a quote of 450 to fix the issue, saying its multiple outlets not wired correctly. So I decide not to go through with it as I feel I'm getting ripped off. Come back to the home and find all the wires sticking out of the outlet and now other outlets and multiple room fans are not working!! Called another contractor came and fixed it all in 2 hours 15 min for 210 bucks! Could not believe it, then brothers automatically charged my credit card on file, without letting me know or me approving of the charges! Horrible experience!

Zero Stars!!!!  Major rip off.  My mom hired these folks to clear her drain and camera the line on my advice unfortunately.   They came and did do that but for almost $800.  Now mind you her drain WAS NOT backing up just slow draining so I knew it should have been a minor cleaning.  After reviewing the video, there were minor roots from her tree which was only at one joint in the pipe.  They did clean it out and all was good except the rip off part of taking advantage of an older person.  They also tried to tell her she MUST replace the line which would be $15,000.  Rewind back to why I recommended them to begin with.....one month earlier I had a major backup in my home and they came and did same service for $300.  Other rooter companies likely would be less but I felt ok about it.  Until my mom's situation.  Steer clear of these folks and understand each plumber works on commission!!!!

A few years ago, I hired this company to replace the sprinkler backflow device (to be proactive) because there was a hair line crack that appeared after many, many years of use.  Their technician replaced it with a larger diameter copper pipe because that's what he decided needed to be done.  After wondering why my basement smelled like water damage, it was discovered that this change caused the back flow device to spill out water every time it changes to a different zone.  They did not return my money after I filed a complaint with the Denver BBB.  They basically said they performed the work that was requested.  However, it wasn't to my satisfaction because the initial hairline crack turned into a bigger problem that this company did not want to address which was negligence.  Instead, this company wanted to charge me to figure out if there were other problems in my line.  Every bad BBB complaint is followed up with tons of positive reviews.  It is such a shame that businesses like these get away with ripping off the general public.

I contacted Brothers to get an estimate to fix my mom's hot water heater. Mom is 85
and needs help with decisions like this. I specifically asked that the service tech call me prior to any work being done and was assured by the appointment setter this would happen. So the service tech shows up tells my mom it's $1,100 and completes the work. No one called to review the estimate with me. I call Brothers to voice my dissatisfaction and get put on hold for 10 minutes waiting for a manager.

The Manager tells me if the homeowner says it's OK they do the work and since mom was paying they didn't need to contact me or my permission.  Had they contacted me with an $1,100 estimate I probably would have done a little comparison shopping. I cannot recommend Brothers Plumbing. I believe they are dishonest and take advantage of elderly customers. I'm going to do a bit of comparison pricing and will update my findings.

OVERCHARGED!  I had them come out last week because the check valve on my sump pump needed to be replaced...a fairly straight forward process.  The very nice technician arrived at 8:30, assessed the situation, and said it would be $299 to replace.  Believing that to be the norm, I agreed.  By 9:15 it was fixed, I had paid, and he was out the door.  45 minutes from beginning to end.

Was I happy that it was fixed?  Yes.  Were they nice? Yes.  However, I did a little investigation and found that they charged so much more than other places.  When I asked for a break down of parts and labor, the labor was $240!  You read that correctly, $240 for 45 minutes ( let's round it up to an hour okay).

HERE IS THE BEST PART....I wrote them and said that while the work was fine and the technician was nice,  I was pretty shocked at the labor cost.  The response was a PDF  with the statement, I'm sorry you feel this way. I did include a copy of some of the overhead a company with our level of service incurs.  Well, I wasn't looking for a boutique plumber.  I was looking to get a simple valve replaced.  Their level of service was not anything that was extraordinary that would make me want to pay more than any other place.  Perhaps they should consider the catch phrase they use when answering the phone  How can I make you smile?  The answer to that is don't overcharge me.

Anyway, I won't use them again.

Horrible folks at this company!  This review is a bit late but I promised them they would be reviewed!  My tenant had an issue with the hot water heater while I was out of the country.  I had my handy man meet their tech jimmy at the property.  My handyman had checked the hotwater heater and noted that it was produced in 2003.  Then jimmy checked it out in the basement and said it was produced in 92 and said it woult be at least $1000 to replace it.  BS! Jimmy literally scratched off the 'production date- which was 2003 and the serial number.  He did this because this type of hot water heater had issues and if you called the manufacter with the year and serial number they would give you a new thermal cupler to replace the current one.  My handyman realized that he did this after he left the property. Of course we didn't have them do the work.  When I called to confront the company  with the evidence of the scraped hot water heater, they denied it.  I was insistant that I get my 79.00 back for ther service call.  Finally I recieved a check after calling them everyday for 2 weeks.  Shady employees and even shadier management.   Do not use these frauds!

Overpriced! Won't discuss estimated price on the phone, but happy to send out someone for $45. Jobs are flat rate according to their book, so why won't they tell you anything on the phone? Because they're horribly overpriced!!! From what I saw, the cheapest thing in the book is ~$250 for even the most trivial repair.
They are polite, but at those rates, they can certainly afford to be!

OVERCHARGING THE ELDERLY!
My 82-yr -old mother called to replace 2 light fixtures and add another.  When they came, and quoted $400, I said to go ahead because they would need to pull wire and cut drywall.  I thought it was steep but reasonable.
When I got there after work, all they had done was change out 3 fixtures that were already in place and functioning fine. Even leaving out the consideration that they did not follow written instructions, each fixture should have taken no more than 45 min.  Unless the installer was inexperienced and/or incompetent!  Even with driving time, the total should have been in the order of $200.
My poor mother was so confused as to my anger.  She said - Well, they charge $100 and hour and he was here all morning!  Doing what?  Checking out the belongings in the basement for potential re-sale value?
When I called to complain, no one was available to take my call.

I was calling to have some specific plumbing work done on my well tank system.  I already researched and knew what I needed.  However, they refused to tell me if they could even do what I needed without first coming to the site to look at it.  That of course comes with a service charge.  I explained that I am not paying them to come to my house, and then tell me they don't do that kind of work.  I just wanted confirmation that they were familiar with installing a pressure switch and new well tank before having them come out.  The support rep was friendly, but refused to check if they could do that kind of work.  I lost trust immediately and called a different plumber who carried out my wishes perfectly.  I got the impression that they are crooks that are just trying to squeeze money out of their customers.  The bright side is, I learned this before having to pay them a dime.

Wish they had a zero star option. Most disgraceful company in the industry. They botched a 35k residential project, leaving a 2 year old without heat for two days in below freezing weather. Techs started the project, but then couldn't complete the HVAC install for three days upon removing the existing furnace. Removed unit on Monday and Tuesday, but did not finish install till Friday. Three furnaces and three AC units. The primary unit was supposed to have worked. Careless techs failed to hook up thermostat. Notified Brother's and they couldn't get a tech here until the next day. Day 1 with no heat. Tech arrived the next day and removed a separate thermostat. Wrong one!!! Day two with no heat. Friday comes around and tech drills a vent through the wall without properly laying out the vent pipe. Damages an exterior sconce. Finally the system is working, this is Nov 2017. Fast forward to May 2018, Brothers returns to charge AC compressors as it was too cold in the Fall. Charged units, however, then heat won't turn on for last cold weekend in the spring. Leaving a two month old and a 2.5 year old without heat. Later that week, temps jump to mid to high 80's. This is CO after all. Brother's sends a tech to fix thermostat. Works for less than 24 hours. Basement floods and thermostat breaks again. Requested to talk to a supervisor. Think they ever called? This company is criminal and should not be used. Beware of their homecare club and fast talking reps.  Owners don't take responsibility and managers don't care. I've never been more disgusted with a company in my life.

Don't call these yahoo's. I asked them to take a look at a gas leak I had at the outdoor fire pit and underground leak to the irrigation box from the riser outside of the house.

This guy, Steve, comes in and spends an hour in my house (didn't even know he needed to come in) assessing my my total gas line load to the meter and starts saying my meter is half the size needed for the house. Uh, didn't ask for that. Then, he starts tearing apart my furnace apart, jotting down info about my tankless system, needs info about my indoor fireplace, stovetop range, etc.... what?

I just purchased this house two months prior and it was built in 2017. How bad could it be? It was just inspected.

He says my tankless system is taking up almost a full load on my gas system. Dude, are you serious?!?

I have 20 years of experience and I know these systems. Yet, he called CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) CST (barely knew what it was) and was checking the BTU capacity. By the way, there is no BTU capacity. Gas lines run at 0.5 PSI. This guy didn't even understand basic fluid dynamics or velocity.

There is a simple calculation to understand these things that I'm not going to get into. But, seriously?

I said CSST can whistle or howl if undersized due to the velocity of gas to the unit which needs more gas than is being delivered. Which is part of the problem I had. He said he's never heard of that. Seriously? I think he didn't even know what CSST was. BTW, it's used widely in new construction.

WIDELY. It's called Home Flex. You'll see it at your home centers.

THEN! I had a crack in the vacuum breaker for the sprinkler system. He came back with a quote of $654.00!!!!!    ?????????

The part costs less than $80.00 (he told me they were VERY expensive). Unfortunately, for him and this lame company, I'm not an idiot.

I went down to Lowe's, bought it and installed it in about 20 minutes and saved? a bunch of money. Steve is worthless, didn't even look at my irrigation system. $574.00 for 20 minutes of work. Wow.

But, I got charged $49.00 for the inspection. What a total joke. This company should be ashamed of itself.

These guys are a bunch of overzealous crooks.

Check yourself before you go out of business.

Absolutely do not use this business! I call shenanigans on the single sentence 5 star reviews. New to the Denver area, my husband was given a quote on the phone to blow out sprinklers and winterize the evaporative cooler on the roof. Two hours later, we're told that the valve on the street needs to be replaced or we won't be within code...for $4800! (It was inspected 10 months ago, and it was perfectly within code then, and now after they've worked on it, it's apparently leaking heavily!)

They spent hours trying to make my husband drop that amount to fix a valve. That's when I hopped online and noticed the repeating reviews of price gouging and threats of not being within code. Now we had to spend an additional chunk of money just to have the scammers cap the damned thing. I'll have the valve replaced, but it sure as hell won't be by this company.

(edited to add)
And then they were kind enough to call me this morning to tell me that they wouldn't clarify their $4800 quote because I would just use that quote to speak poorly of them online some more and to pick a fight with me. Bravo on your excellent customer service skills and business practices. We have had another plumber out today that gave us excellent customer service and an actual clear quote. And yes, it came in significantly lower than Brothers $4800. In fact, it'll cost us less to have the original issue fixed by a reputable plumber, than it cost us to have Brothers cut and cap the pipe.

Toilet would occasionally run - plumber showed up immediately told me I needed a new toilet for $1200.00.  When I told him the house was 5 years old he then looked inside and said the insides of the tank needed to be replaced for almost $600.00.  Said the tank would need to be removed to do this work. Googled Kohler their You Tube video showed replacing the insides without ever needing to remove the tank.  Also, found where Kohler showed how
to replace the Flush Valve Seal.  Bought the Seal at Home Depot for $8.00 replaced it in 15 minutes.  Toilet works perfectly.  Called Brothers totally rude and uncooperative.  Do they every look at their reviews!!   Biggest waste of $67.00 these people are total a total rip off.  I am a senior woman and I think he thought he could just rip me off because I'm older and wouldn't have a clue.  Shameful, horrible company!  Don't use!!!!!

We had Brothers come out for our furnace inspection. I received a phone call 10 minutes before our technician was to arrive to be sure I was home and ready. Troy, showed up and from start to finish it was a fantastic experience. I am a hands on woman and want to see all that is being done to my home and Troy showed me everything he was doing, explained why he was doing certain things and what various readings on his instruments meant. Troy went through how much everything would cost and how important or not as important certain things were to get done. He was beyond professional, very personable and efficient. We use Brothers for everything and have NEVER had a negative experience. I tell friends and strangers alike about what a great job they do. Thank you Brothers for always making me and my family feel at ease and that we are important.

Everyone I encountered from Brothers Plumbing and Heating were friendly and professional. Unlike the first three companies I called, they were able to come the same day - just 5-hours after I called for an appointment (our furnace had stopped working the evening before, so the house was already very cold when I phoned and the weather forecast was calling for significantly lower temperatures). The problem turned out to be a cracked/non-functioning ignitor, which was diagnosed and replaced in just over 1-hour. Because the house was already so cold, and it was 3:30 p.m. on a Friday, I agreed to pay the OUTRAGES charge of $467.00 - even though I knew the EXACT same repair on the same furnace cost a grand total of $150.00 in 2006. When I pointed that out to the technician he laughed at me, as if I was expecting 2006 pricing in 2018. While I concede that prices have gone up over the past 12 years, they have not gone up 311% (I looked it up - prices have gone up an average 25.44% since 2006). I will never call Brothers Plumbing and Heating again, and I will warn my family, friends and neighbors to avoid them, too.

Made appt on Friday for Sunday with a window time between 1-3pm. Was told I'd get a call 45 min prior. No call and No show. Disappointing because a neighbor recommended them. Guess it all happened for the best though, I hadn't checked the reviews on here. Whew.

Brother's plumbing was recommended to me by a neighbor. I must say they were prompt and nice enough.  My outside facet was repaired for $300.00 including $40.00 for a part.  Labor was $250 and he was here maybe 30 minutes. This is ridiculously over priced.  I feel taken advantage of and will never use this company again and I will be telling everyone about this.  I will not be recommending this company to anyone.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.   They spend a ton on advertising but they do NOT back up their cheery disposition with the actual service experience.  Our furnace stopped forcing air through the house during the heat of summer, so we called and ordered a service call.  the receptionist was cheerful and helpful,  staying right in line with the brand identity that the commercials i've heard had.  I didn't check reviews first because I foolishly bought into the ads.   They said it would be 5 days before a tech could visit.  I made the appointment and tried to call other providers in case anyone could come out.  They were all booked as well so I kept the brothers appt.

On the day of the service, (today, friday July 29th, 2016) I got a call at 8:30 from a dispatcher who told me the tech would arrive by 9.  that was fine.  The tech arrived as reported but was unfriendly from the moment he arrived.  He didn't introduce himself, only saying he was with brothers.  informing me that he had to block my driveway because my cars on either side were not allowing him any other option.  I said this wasn't a problem but that I would need to leave for work so we might have to move his truck.  This was NOT what he wanted to hear.  He started in with some grumpy excuses about how they have to park in front of the customers house, etc.  I said 'let's not worry about that and go peek at the furnace.  He started to put on little boot protectors as is company policy, but I said that wouldn't be necessary as we were all on hard surface and I was doing some construction anyway,  so my floors were already dirty and I actually didn't want the bootie to pick up any grit and scratch the floor with a piece of grit stuck between a hard floor and a boot.  He said that had never happened and that they were supposed to wear booties.  I again said I would prefer he didn't.   He very reluctantly complied.

We went downstairs and I showed him my unit.  the panels were off because i rant through some simple trouble shooting.  THis was where things REALLY started to go south.  Dan fired a line of questions at me:
Dan: you have been working on this yourself?
Me:     yes.. it's my unit, the fuse is blown.

Dan: There's dust in here! this is a 90 day filter, why are you using a 4 filter?
Me: understood, that its dirty,  I'll take care of that, can you please look at the unit.

Dan: i think your blower is just clogged
Me: it isn't

Dan:  it'll be 169 to replace the fuse and i'm not sure that'll fix it, i may use a few fuses
Me: 170 dollars to fix a fuse? that seems steep but OK,  if that doesn't do the trick do you add that price to a new control board?
Dan: yes, and a new control board is at least 900 dollars
Me:  900? i found that units control board online for 58 dollars, your markup seems like a lot.
Dan: THEN BUY IT {dismissive wave}

It was at this point that I had had enough of mr grumpy.  i said i didn't want him repairing my unit and I would like him to leave.  He stated it would be 79 dollars for the service call,  I informed him that I would not be paying him one dime and that he needed to leave.  He began gathering his things muttering at me how i am a 'real nice guy' and storming up the stairs.  i showed him out, called brothers with a complaint, and was told by the manager i was connected with that he was sorry, but wasn't sure what he could do.  that i needed to be reasonable when requesting a new tech that day, that that wasn't happening, and that we shouldn't do business together (as is their right, as I was agitated and probably acting like a jerk).

Bottom line, I have never had such a terrible service call in my own home,  look at the star rating on here.  DON'T call the sisters from brothers.  One hour heating and air was able to get me a same day replacement appt.

I'm giving them a middle of the road review for the following reasons:

Pro's:

* They were prompt
* I didn't have to wait 3 weeks for someone to MAYBE show up
* The work performed was well done
* They complimented me on my Dr. Who T-Shirt

Con's:

* Their retail markup on parts were outrageous
* After I assigned some GENEROUS values to their marked up parts, I estimated their hourly rate at being around $200 an hour. That, too, seems very high.
* They use the same flat rate pricebook from hell like Applewood Plumbing uses (generally slanting costs in their favor)
* They didn't know who David Tennant or Tom Baker was!

Fairly certain I won't use them again unless I'm in an absolute pinch.

Pros: The tech was on-time, nice and knowledgeable.
Cons: Paid $80 for him to do NOTHING.  My unit is still under warranty since they installed it in 2014. Rather he tried to sell me their home care club and a new AC unit.

Let me say, the people I dealt with were very nice. That said, they quoted me a price of $1245 to change a mixing valve. I was able to buy the part for $155 and it only took 15 minutes for me to change. They also quoted a price of $1139 to change a $50 motor in a water heater. Needless to say, I am doing that myself. Even the manufacturer where I am getting the motor from suggested finding someone else to install as that price was ridiculous.

This review is more towards the practices of their home care club than the actual services I have received. They have been adequate with their plumbing heating and electric services that I have used them for. However, unfortunately, I made the mistake of signing up their home club the last time I reached out to them. They persist on calling, sometimes multiple times a day, even after I called and specifically asked to be removed from the list. Whatever you do, do NOT sign up for this service.

Do not use, they will try to rip you off.

We had Brothers come out to inspect our hot water heater when it started acting up. I had read the manual and done prior research and though that it was the vapor sensor. When the technician came out he immediately dismissed that idea and told us we would have to replace the entire unit at a cost of 5-8K. We almost went through with it but decided to get a second opinion.

The other company came out, confirmed it was the vapor sensor, and replaced it in about 10 minutes....It was a part that cost around $2.00.

Stay far away from this company.

Shame on me for being niave enough to us a company with 1 and 1/2 stars.  I have used Brothers before and I don't have an issue with the work accomplished. The issue is they take a $25 project and make it $500. They will rip you off.  Had a toilet that would run continuously. I was out of town and so my son handled it for me. He had no idea what was fair or honest and assumed they were doing what needed to be done. They ripped us off   they ended up replacing all the moving parts in the toilet when all it needed was a $13 piece replaced. It is the equivalent of replacing all of the electrical in your car if the battery died. What should have cost less than $50 cost me just shy of $500. They are a rip off. When I spoke to the manager in charge of plumbing his defense was 1) they told are son how much it would cost and that it needed to be done and 2) it was in line with their company policy of replacing all components of a toilet when they have to replace any component. That is a rip off. Unless you want to get ripped off because of their company policy I would recommend using a company with a different philosophy. I will NEVER use Brother Plumbing again. My biggest regret is ever using them in the first place. Lots of other companies to choose from

These guys were really over the top fantastic. Had a connection on my cold water line go bad after all new plumbing was recently put in by another company. I could not reach them, this was 7PM, so I called Brothers. Allison in customer service was so courteous and helpful. I temporarily got the situation under control for the night and waited for a return call from the plumber that did the original work - no call. Unexpectedly, Allison calls me to see if I still needed help and to check in on me. Like that EVER happens with companies!!! I asked her to book me for the next day and she did. Bill showed up early and was super nice, very knowledgeable, and FAST. In and out with trip fee was around $200 and I can take a shower again - WOOHOO! I will call these people first for my plumbing issues in the future. People warn against the big companies for price slaughter, but that was nowhere near the case with me. I only wish I had them do the original work!

I like these guys a lot. Every time I try and go with someone else I get weird problems like missing time windows or techs that seem over their head. They also seem to have lots of folks working for them so they can usually get to me pretty fast. The one down side is that they are pricey. I think their rates are about average but they also charge a $60 trip charge that they don't include in the price. A lot of other places have a trip charge but if you have them do the work, they put it toward the price of the repair. That said, their techs always know what they are doing and they seem to always have the part they need on the truck so the job gets done right and quickly.

There is expensive, then there is crazy expensive, and then there is Brother's. The mark up on parts is robbery.  I was quoted over $4500 dollars to replace a water heater.  I found the same size water heater online from Lowe's for less than $600.  I asked how long will it take to replace the water heater, and they said three hours. So that means they wanted, over $1300 an hour.  Found another company to do it for $2000 less with a permit, and a 9 year warranty.

I wish I could give a ZERO star review. Even better I wish I would have read the reviews here first. This company is obviously shady! How are they still in business?

I called about a quote on a new swamp cooler. They said they had to send someone out to take a look and couldn't even give me a ballpark.

Ok fine. Oh and it's going to be $40. Seriously? For a sales call? Fine. It's 95 degrees in my house just hurry.

The guy gets here. Whips open his iPad and gives me a price without even looking at anything. I mean I guess he did glance at our roof and confirmed there was a swamp cooler there. And he charged us $45 (yes, more than we were told) for that. Thankfully they weren't able to install the next day or we would have gotten taken by these guys. Since we weren't able to get it replaced immediately anyway we decided to deal with the heat and get some more quotes.

I called two other companies. Neither charged for the sales call! And our brand new swamp cooler, exact make and model, permitted cost over $4000 less than what Brothers quoted us. It was more than half the price! On top of that, they included the cover which Brothers told us would be extra and two of our vents needed to be extended per city regulations which Brothers wasn't going to do (or at least he didn't have that outlined in the proposal -- but how would he even know, he never went on the roof).

Multiple issues with this company.  Incorrect installs of both garbage disposal and furnace, promises of scheduled inspections that were not actually scheduled, infighting between staffers, employees speaking openly and negatively about other employees, and about managers and owners.  Arrogant phone operators.  Easily the worst Heating/Plumbing/AC vendor we have ever used.  Many, many other options out there.  Avoid at all costs.

Having an older line scoped after being cleaned of roots leads to a recommendation of replacing all sewer lines for $23,000.00 and yep, they can start tomorrow!  You have got to be kidding me?  There are 2 belly dumps... so?  There are belly dumps in all sewer lines according to the city sewer dept. Doesn't mean the lines need to be replaced. Even if there is an issue there are certainly easier and cheaper ways to fix this. Did they offer this? NO... And, they share this information with anyone who happens to call and ask.  Would never trust them!!

NOW I see why this company has such lousy reviews! 2 weeks ago, I drove down to the apartment building I own in Denver from PARKER, nearly an hour away. I've been thinking about repiping the building, so I thought I'd get an estimate from these people.

I spent an hour down there with the guy, then he says, so that'll be 45 bucks for the show-up charge. HUH?! The girl on the phone never said a THING about ANY charges, so I didn't pay it. The guy said no problem, it's waived. I asked him when to expect the estimate. He said, oh, probably today but no later than tomorrow. That was 2 weeks ago! Tried to call them but after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I hung up.

There are literally HUNDREDS of other good options for work like this! Why would anyone want to waste their time fooling around with people who don't give a rip?! If you like lousy or NO communications you'll LOVE these people!

I'm so disappointed idea I could be taken advantage of , I called brothers because my heater stopped working , paid the initial charge to have it looked at only to have the service tech put a meter on it and tell me a part needed to be replaced at a cost of $1300 ( this took all of about 5min). Then he tried to tell me I should replace the whole furnace that is 15yrs old and they could do it for $5500 if I did it on the same day , showed me the tablet with financing options and said he'd wait while I filled out the application , worked on my furnace 5-8 min tried to sell me for 40 min, called another company ( ultimate heating) they fixed my furnace in 45 min cleaned out a clogged valve and replaced the filter and it works like new... this is why I don't trust companies

Let me begin by stating that I was on the Brother's monthly preferred customer service at my previous house and I never had a problem with any of the service techs that came to my house. I was fortunate to never have had a significant problem in that previous home. Fast forward to my current home (which is only one year old and I am not on the monthly plan with Brothers any longer), and boy do I have something to say.  I replaced my two bathroom vanities with granite counters and I replaced those two sinks with vessel sinks. After instillation of the vanities, I needed the two faucets replaced and I called and scheduled an appointment with Brother's. The tech came out during the scheduled time. I then received a quote of $835 to instill the two faucets! The tech also stated that the holes in the granite counters were too small and needed to be larger. I immediately contacted my contractor and he was able to come over and take a look at the faucets and said that the holes for the sinks were just fine and did not need to be larger.  He was able to recommend someone and that person came over to my house and installed both my faucets for $200.  I will never be calling, using or recommending Brothers Plumbing to anyone ever again.  The price I was quoted, $835, to instill two faucets was completely ridiculous, let alone being told that the holes in the granite were too small when they were just fine.

I don't know if the company had a staff change after reading all the negative reviews, because I've seen nothing but amazing performance from this company. My mom had a pipe break, within the foundation six feet underground, on a Saturday. Not only did 1 plumber immediately come out, but when he felt it went above his expertise he didn't guess and fill us with BS. Instead he had the manager come out as well and was very professional, accommodating, and pleasant. We decided to get the work done and at 3:30 the digging plumbing crew came out with a small backhoe and did back breaking work into the dark of night, to fix and replace a broken copper pipe within the foundation wall. These guys went above and beyond anything they needed to do on a Saturday and my family is very pleased and relieved. They took a stressful and scary situation and filled us with confidence and closure. Now hopefully the homeowners insurance company will be just as awesome!

How can I make you smile today? is a message that should give pause, plus the $45 mandatory service fee just to take a look at my sewer line.
The technician shows up in a shiny truck, bright clean uniform, and an air of confidence. He walks around here and there in the road and on my property looking importantly at manholes, and talking about buried main lines and flow direction (which he got wrong). He says he needs to talk with his manager to further assess the situation. Then he tells me that if the line was restricted, I would hear gurgling in my drains. He suggests that if I want it cleaned and scoped with a camera it will cost $350 - $400. So, I pay the $45 service for walking around and find another plumber who directly cleans the line (which was nearly plugge with roots) for $88.

Like many here,  I should've read the reviews.
My issue is more with them over charging relative to what the market or cost of service should be.
Today I got Full installation, extremely reputable company licensed and insured for to install a nest thermostat, Brothers plumbing quoted me over $1000 for the same install, which turns out I have a new furnace and all that was required was simple rewiring. Total cost $375 and done within one hour. Same with my hot gas heater told it would cost me $10K to replace ... somehow I think I can get it done a lot cheaper. I don't mind paying a fair market price for services, but these guys are ripping people off making them believe that they are given is fair and reasonable estimate.  I feel like I was given a bunch of excuses just to justify them charging me more money .. so do yourself a favor shop around before you decide to hire these guys.

If you like to pay double or triple for your plumbing services, be sure to choose this company.  They have a 'book' of prices, and not matter what the circumstance is, they will charge you what is listed in the 'book'.  I took out a bathroom faucet, and had already purchased a new one.  The only thing they had to do was to install the new one that I had bought.  No hardware required, as I had also already purchased new connector hoses.   $444 PLUS the $45 trip charge was their estimate for me.  I asked if there was any consideration for the fact that I had already taken all the old stuff off, and had a new faucet ready to be dropped in, and the tech said no, the price for installing a bathroom is the price no matter what.  I called another company that is reputable the very next day and was treated more than fair.  If you have been overcharged by Brothers Plumbing & Heating, please let others know!

Had them come out for a service call. The found out  needed a new Breaker. They replaced it and charged me $516.00. Break down was $79.00 service call, $267.00 for the breaker and $161.00 for Minor Repair. The problem I have is..... I went to Home Depot and found the EXACT breaker it was $4.50. I call them to ask if the price they charged was maybe wrong. The as* hole manager told me he charged that much to cover liability. HA HA. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone charged LIABILITY for everything they sold???? Maybe Grease Monkey should charge $600.00 for a oil filter JUST ENCASE IT LEAKS.. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

I had a renter with a plugged toilet and I was not able to get to the property until the next day so I told her to just go ahead and call a plumber so that she was not inconvenienced.

Short story guy shows up, diagnoses that the issue is with the toilet itself and then my renter had him call me when he started talking prices.  THANK GOD she did! His quote $175 to snake it and see if he could unclog the toilet.  He then proceeded to tell me that if they had to remove the toilet, and get the clog from the bottom side then replace it, the charge would be an additional $365.

Shocked I proceeded to ask him what a new toilet would cost me and he told me $800.  YES $800 for a new toilet.  Having some handy man skills myself, and knowledge of what a new toilet costs at the home improvement store,  I asked him how in the world they justify that kind of money for performing a task that anyone with a crescent wrench and 1/2 of a brain could do.  His response was sorry those are the standard fees!

Given that I already was on the hook for the $45 diagnostic fee I simply asked him OK how much to evacuate the water out of the bowl so I dont have to worry about that when I get there to replace it? His quote another $165 for 2 min worth of work.

Do yourself a favor and write these guys off and don't even think about using them.  I replied to their general email with my dissatisfaction and surprisingly 30min later one of the owners called me.  He tried to justify his crazy fees by telling me I run on a 3% profit margin, Ill show you the books if you dont believe me.  My overhead is very high and Insurance is killing me.  I have to stay in business so I pass that cost along to the customers.

Sorry pal that is no justification for KILLING unsuspecting people on prices because you have a fleet of fancy trucks running all over town.  It is like Safeway trying to tell me that I need to pay 10x's more for a steak than King Supers because they have a bigger marketing budget and more stores.  Its just crazy and if you are reading this Brothers Plumbing you should be ashamed of yourselves!

I sucked the water out with my shop vac in 2 min (the job they wanted $165 for) Bought a $99 toilet at HD and had it installed in 30min.  By my calculations if I am using the Brothers Labor rates I paid myself $730/hr to do it myself.  Its companies like you that give reputable plumbers a bad name!  I imagine you will continue your unscrupulous tactics preying on unknowing victims but if you are reading this I hope it makes you think about what you are doing.

If not I hope that anyone else reading this really reconsiders dialing their number.

I called Brother's for looking at a dishwasher that was refusing to drain. They warned me that they didn't service appliances and that they would still charge a $45 fee to come out to take a look at the drain and the garbage disposal. The visit was fine, paying the fee was fine. What I'm upset with is their billing department. They had some trouble with running my credit information. I called my bank and confirmed my address and other information. They had trouble again and called. I called them back and said to run the card, it should work. After an incredibly busy headache of a week at work, I got a letter saying that if I didn't pay up, they would turn my account over to collections. This was 3 weeks after the visit. Not 30 days, not 90 days, 3 weeks. I let it sit for a bit since I was so angry and called and gave them the credit card information again. They ran it and it worked. Huh, that's convenient. I didn't like the fact that they were bullying for payment and said they recorded all the times they tried to call me but none of the calls came through and no friendly letter saying, Hey! We're having issues with your bill. Please call us.

Poor form, Brothers. Poor form.

I noticed some water damage around my toilet.  First time home buyer..crap..better call a plumber.

Plumber immediately says, Yep, you have a problem...you'll need a complete toilet rebuild.

Me: What?  How do you know that will fix it.. you haven't found the problem.
Plumber: It's likely the gasket between the floor and the toilet..they go bad are done incorrectly with hardwood floors.
Me: So..you just do a complete rebuild?
Plumber: Well..it could be something else ***touches the base of the tank*** ..wait a minute..there is water here...it's likely the seal between the tank and the base.
Me: So it isn't the floor gasket?
Plumber: You still need a complete rebuild.
Me: But how much to replace the seal (pretty obvious there is water coming out of the base of the tank).
Plumber: We only do full rebuilds so that we can warranty the work.
Me: I guess....

**The seal was bad..it was completely falling apart**

The plumber even offered to swap out the ENTIRE TOILET FOR $800.

Imagine your car is over heating and you take it into an auto repair place.  Without even LOOKING they tell you that you'll need a new radiator, thermostat, water pump, and fluid flush.  Only after replacing everything (almost a thousand dollars in repairs) do they find that it was the failed $20 dollar thermostat.

You'd be pissed..why didn't you troubleshoot the problem and identify what was needed..instead of shotgunning everything in the hopes that one of them fixes it?

After talking to one of the plumbing managers..they said that this industry standard.  How can we warranty our work if we don't replace everything.  What?  Huh?  That doesn't make any sense.  In no other industry is it standard to just replace EVERYTHING.  How easy one's job must be if he or she has no requirements to fix...but simply replace everything and anything.

I've since been told that this is an at most $20 dollar part..and that I spent almost $400 dollars on an hour of work.  Is it leaking?  Not anymore.  Will I use Brother's plumbing again?  Likely not.

Save yourself a boatload of money and call someone else. Brothers installed a Goodman furnace 7 yrs ago. It started making a horrendous noise (but otherwise functioning fine). Brothers came out and quoted us $2700 to replace blower wheel and blower motor and recommended that we purchase a NEW furnace for $5K. Excuse me? A furnace that has only 3-1/2 years of actual operation before it craps out and they want us to buy another one? But wait. There's more. Just before the tech left the gas valve suddenly, inexplicably failed. So yeah. Let's tack on the price of a new gas valve while we're at it. The icing on the cake is that he basically said the problems were our fault for not having yearly maintenace calls to tighten a set screw. More interested in selling us a new furnace and a whole house maintenance plan. We said no thanks. A couple of chilly nights but we're getting someone else out to look at this thing. Never doing business with Brothers again.

Called on 5/30 to due a clogged drain.  I explained the situation to the phone rep.  She placed me on hold to discuss the situation with someone else, and came back on the line telling me they could help, however the soonest they could take care of it was 6/6, one week later.  On 6/5 I received a call at 6:59 PM, and said they had 3 technicians call out and they would have to push me back to 6/14, another week later.  On 6/14 at 11 AM, (2 hours) before they were schedule to arrive) they called and said they could not help me.  I left a message with a supervisor, at 11:05 AM.  I called again at 1:10 PM asking about my return call.  I was placed on hold, when the rep returned to the line, I was told Mick would call me back.   He never called back.  Their customer service SUCKS.

Well the people on the phone were nice but they charge insane amounts of money. They want almost $700 for moving an outlet. A job that should cost around $300. Even the electrician who gave me the quote seemed appalled.

Jeff J. and Jonathan from Brother's came over today to give the AC unit a pre-summer evaluation. After spending some time, Jeff pointed out some real deficiencies in the way the system in my new house was set up and designed. He went over several different scenarios about how the problems could be alleviated and never tried to up sell me in the process. Jeff and Jonathan were genuinely concerned that I understood what was going on and provided some guidance on how we could begin to tackle the problem areas. I really felt comfortable with all that Jeff and Jonathan had to say, and they even outlined the benefits of Brother's Home Club membership. I was truly impressed with their professionalism, their knowledge of these systems, and a real life approach to handling the problems without breaking the bank. I'm glad I found Brother's!!

These guys need to figure out that online reviews will make or break a successful business.  Called today to get estimates on some home upgrades I knew were going to cost us between 2-3 grand to perform.  They wanted to charge us $49 just to come out and give us the estimate.  I told them if they need to charge that for work that's going to run into the thousands, I'll just call someone else.  I want someone who earns their money based on their work, not for writing down a couple numbers for me.

They are very kind on the phone but and not tell you how much the plumbing fix costs. Once the guy came out just to clean a sink drain he said this is $398 (!!).  I told them that they are companies out there who do the job for $100 and my drain is open anyway. I said no thank you, I don't want to be ripped off. I give them the second star only because they were always very polite.

I have no idea why Brothers wishes to now further explain things to me about my H2O? It is because I gave you an honest review you didn't like?  Why are you not responding to every 1 or 2 star review here? Are you really not moved by the GENERAL consensus of the public? Is your company so out of touch with the reality of how you run your business in this very competitive market, that you wish to remind me of the $79.00 I wasted? If you really care, send me my money back instead of the coupons. I assure you, I will never use them or pass them out. Unlike you, I care about my neighbors.

If I could give zero stars this would be it....

Got a few lawsuit threats from their lawyer and, although they delivered VERY poor service that ended up costing me significant amounts of money, it's not worth keeping my initial review up as I've already spent too much time on this company.  Be aware of these guys and be careful about leaving negative reviews....they'll rather threaten you with lawsuits vs doing the right thing.  Now that's great customer service!

Very disappointing with the outrageous pricing of Brothers Plumbing....I have just spent $2300 on a new water heater and expansion tank...the expansion tank I was told that was now needed due to code ...found out the only new builds are required to have them....necessary costs....then I called them to have a new disposer and plastic pipes repaired under the kitchen sink and they wanted to charge me $689...are you kidding me...for a disposer that is less than $100 and piping that costs $20.....very disappointed to see no loyalty was given to a returning customer...I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN  !!!!!!!!  So sad how they are riping off good people that work hard for their money.

I called on a Saturday to schedule Brothers Electric to come out on a Tuesday afternoon.  I called on Sunday to confirm the appointment.  On Tuesday at my scheduled appointment time, I called to ask how far away the tech was, and was told the tech could no longer come to my home that day.  This was for my a rental property, and I had rearranged my schedule and my tenants' schedules to make the visit work.  I was incredibly disappointed that Brothers cancelled on me AND that I had to call to find this out (ie they did not proactively call to let me know that no one could make it).  I am a repeat Brothers customer and will not be using them again, very disappointing service and communication.

I had an early morning appointment scheduled for Sunday 10/18.  Marcus arrived on time, was thorough, efficient and friendly.  He spotted a couple of things that I had done wrong; like putting the furnace filter in backwards and I has accidentally disconnected a humidifier hose which was dripping on the floor.   All was well when he finished.  The price was as promised.

Job well done!  I will definitely use them again!

Should have read the reviews before I called.  I was hoping for better service to repair my furnace. I have done my research on the repair itself, and it seemed fairly easy with the correct tools.

I called Brothers and scheduled an appointment three days out. My wife stayed home from work (costing us $) then Brothers never showed. I called to see what the issue might be, and they admitted they NEVER booked the appointment.  The call taker, stated she remembered the conversation but failed to hit enter to schedule the appointment. No problem, I try to be understanding and realize mistakes happen sometimes. She scheduled another appointment for the next day, which I thought was good because the wait time was 3 days on the earlier appointment and going that long without heat can be risky in CO during November.

Again, no show. They called earlier than the appointment time and left a message saying the technician had finished his previous job early, and asked if he could head our way. I called back and told them that would be great. Then was informed that he already had been rerouted, but my 2 hour appointment window was still valid. Well, guess who never showed or called to give any sort of notice?  Really?!??  I was willing to pay their $80+ service just to show up, even though they cost our family more than that for the 1/2 day of work my wife lost by staying home to meet their technician.  Now we will have to take ANOTHER day from work to meet someone from a different (and hopefully more reliable) company.  Thanks for nothing Brothers Heating Cooling Electric and NoShow!

For the most part the technicians were great.  But on two occasions they came out and didn't do what was expected.  The first time was to move the drains for a bathroom rough in but the tech didn't know where I wanted them since the guys who came out days earlier didn't relay this info.  My biggest issue is they confirmed i needed the exhaust for the bathroom fan outside but they sent the wrong tech who doesn't do that and he did other work that wasn't needed to be done.  I called because i was frustrated and eventually was transferred to a manager/ owner named Justin who was rude.

So much for the commercials and the how can we make you smile. I see someone else complained about Justin.

Would never IN MY LIFE do business with Brothers ever again, nor could i recommend them any less. Had a technician out this week to our new home, immediately told us we needed to replace either the board or full system for 2-15k.  Had another tech out the next day who go the system working and operational within 20 minutes for $100.  Your technicians are either completely untrained, or full on scam artists.  The funniest part is I called brothers to say if they refunded the service fee of $90 I wouldn't leave a review and they said they wouldn't, so hopefully for my $90 spent I can help someone else avoid getting scammed by these suckers.

Avoid. Seriously, avoid.

When you call, they answer their phones with, how can I make you smile today? How about not ripping off your customers for a start?

I should have been warned off on that first call to their central dispatch when they gladly told me about the show-up fee, but wouldn't even venture to estimate the cost to cable a drain line because we don't have pricing in the office. If you don't have pricing in your office, it's because you don't want your customers to know they are going to get gouged.

They will charge you a show-up fee of just under $60. Fine, several companies have service call fees. As a small business owner in the service industry, myself, I get it. Time is money. But if I am going to pay a show-up fee, I expect a fair and reasonable price for the quoted work.

We have a backed-up sink drain. A single drain. The quoted price was over $350 to run a cable down the drain. As the tech said, that's the price just to run the cable. Oh, and that carries only a 90-day warranty. And they wanted to cut a hold in the pipe rather than run the cable from an accessible clean-out, even though we know the block is past the clean-out. Robbery.

Now, there is a secondary issue of a leak, which I also wanted looked at, but wasn't sure if that was a serious issue, or just manifesting because of the backup. The leak wasn't even considered in the pricing. He let me run the water until it started leaking down the foundation wall and only THEN bothered to tell me that it would cost another $220+ for a diagnostic fee that would only identify the problem, and fix nothing.

I explained to the technician that this pricing was outrageous - a show up fee, then outrageous pricing on top of it that was more than double the flat-rate pricing I had received over the phone from other reputable companies. He didn't seem to care about my concerns. He wasn't rude, and was generally friendly and of a positive demeanor, but he didn't seem to care about me as a customer.

I should have just taken one of the flat-rate quotes I got (for free) on the phone, but I was fooled. My mistake, and one I won't make again. I hope you don't either.

I'm of two minds with Brothers. On the one hand, I've used them twice, and both times, my problem got taken care of in a timely manner (once the plumber was there), and it got done right. No recurring issues. Are they the cheapest? Not really, but I maintain in life you get what you pay for to a point, so no real complaints there, especially when many of their repairs come with a warranty (My sink, which they fixed today now has a 1 year warranty. If it clogs or has any other issues over the next year, the repair is on them). So that's the good. Why is the review only two stars, you ask?

Despite the fact that they answer their phones 24 hours per day, with two separate repairs, I've been given a time slot and had the plumber show up up to six hours late. The first time, I scheduled between ten and noon, and got a call at 12:40 from their dispatcher to let me know he was running late. No $h*t, Sherlock. Today, I was scheduled (and confirmed... Twice) for 8 to 10 AM, first thing in the morning as the scheduler I spoke with said. At 11:15, I received a call from the same representative, saying she'd forgotten to put me on the schedule for the day, and now the next opening would be between 12 and 2.

While I understand that life happens, I have better things to do than wait around all day for a service technician... Particularly when they're already charging me $45 just to show up at my door. They need to get it together, because while I will probably give them one final chance with our next plumbing emergency (entirely because of the quality of work), I am going to have to find a new plumber if I end up waiting around all day again.

Called for a new hot water heater: Quote was $1500.00 more than the plumbing business I selected. Cost to replace unit shut off valve in basement $315.00. Actual cost from other plumber part $5.00, Labor $80.00. Advised I needed a new Thermal expansion tank. Cost $300-400,00. I DO NOT recommend Brothers!  I hear their ads on the radio frequently and assumed  they'd be a reputable company to call recently when my kitchen sink was blocked.  Their charges are UNREASONABLE - even after a $30 coupon I received in the mail and a senior discount the charge was still over three times more than what I would've paid had I gone with a Master plumber who works alone and other plumbing services companies.
When I got a follow up call the day after the service I spoke with a manager to express my frustration & disappointment in their exorbitant fees and he seemed more intent on being defensive than hearing me out.
I would  never recommend them to anyone.

We have used Brothers for several years, and have become increasingly uncomfortable with their service. We have really been feeling like they are trying to take advantage of us. We have had them out yearly for the past few years for furnace problems. They wanted $1500 to fix our furnace today, so we told them no and paid an $80 trip charge. We then called another company who resolved our problem for a grand total of $101.50!  I have probably spent enough over the years to replace our furnace. I'll never call Brothers again.

We woke early this morning to a non-working water heater. I google searched plumbers and saw Brother's Plumbing had great reviews and they were open at 7!  The kind gentleman who answered the phone promptly at 7 set up Corey to come between 8:30 and 8:45 to look at our heater.  Within 5 minutes of arriving Corey knew what was wrong. Unfortunately, with a 10 plus year old water heater it was time to buy a new one. Corey showed my husband and I different options and we were happy to find a 50 gallon heater which worked best for our family. Corey was knowledgeable, professional,  timely, and extremely customer service oriented. We, also, signed up for their yearly homecare service. I could not have been happier with my service  and product and the affordability!!! Thank You Corey and Brother's Plumbing. Rip off.  They charged me over 400.00 to replace the flushing components.  In addition, they make you sign up for a service plan in order to receive any discounts.  They literally try and sell you on everything that you would expect to be done with the service that already comes with a high cost. Terrible phone experience today. I required gas line service. I am out of town 2 weeks. My realtor required my OK to represent me. Bottom line is Brothers (Sharon....what can I do to make you smile) would NOT agree even with my cc info! Said I needed to be there or be available on phone when technician called from home...even though realtor was going to be present and had my OK.

Called Rotor Rooter....did not even ask for cc. Connected with realtor same day, realtor gave them my cc info AFTER service, excellent experience.

STAY AWAY! They charge 3 times what other companies charge and claim it is for their professionalism. The people who showed up were fine, however they weren't worth $1400 when another professional fixed it for $500. In response to my last review I was sent a $30 off coupon. That hardly fixes the fee to show up and the money I felt trapped into spending. Predatory and awful company.

I've dealt with lots of plumbers over the years. And really, the only downside with Brothers Plumbing is that they are pretty expensive.   However, all that extra expense pays for a trained, knowledgeable, and courteous crew. If they are running 5 minutes late, a call to the office is all it takes to track down the tech. And yes, they wear their little booties while on the job.

They answer the phone with the greeting, How can we make you smile today? Pretty corny, but it beats, What else can we do to tick you off? which is what a few outfits might just as well say.

Another upside-they've been around forever, I've used them off and on forever, and if there is a problem with their work they stand behind it.

I called Monday and explained I had a leaky pipe in an 100 year old rental house in Boulder. I was given an appointment on Wednesday but they called and said the tech they'd scheduled had a new baby and rescheduled for Thursday. Met the plumber Thursday and sure enough the pipe just crumbles and breaks off in his hand. He spends 20 minutes telling me what a big horrible job it's going to be and then says that before he can do anything the site has to be inspected for mold.  Gives me a big speech on how bad that can be and says he's sure there's a mold issue and a disaster restoration company must be called in first.  He calls the the company,Colorado Cleanup and they come out the same night.  This guy says no mold in fact there's cobwebs behind the wall boards, dry as dust.  Then he tries to sell me their services for a hole my tenants showed him in the bathroom ceiling and wants to send off a sample of drywall to be tested. So, not finding anything to clean up in one area he finds something else? And is the guy from Brothers getting a kickback for send them business? Brothers wouldn't reschedule the next day either so now we're out til Saturday.

When our shower stopped working and we were quoted by another company for a $1,400 shower replacement due to a 'broken cartridge' I immediately called another company. That place was out of my service area and they recommended Brothers. I saw their reviews online and decided to trust the referral. Brothers came out quickly, diagnosed that the issue was in the shower handle, not the cartridge, and started sourcing parts. At the end of the day they saved me $1,300 over the other guy to get the shower up and running. I hope that they have taken everyone's feedback and are changing their tune because I would love to use them for all future plumbing, heating, and electric. Overall I had an excellent experience with their professional, compassionate, quality and timely service. Aaron R. was our tech and I would absolutely work with him again.

I called for an estimate on a water heater with no prior knowledge of what that meant.  The Brothers' gentlemen that came by were courteous and helpful in providing the said estimate.  I called to at least 10 other companies today for other estimates, all of which charge nothing for their estimates as opposed to Brothers that charges $45 for any call out.  I spoke with a manager today that said it costs more than $45 for the company to just drive out and make an estimate (that's just silly).  Bottom line: the guys were good and gave me an estimate but the management is looking to get paid for no true service rendered.

This one is on me for being dumb enough to pay management for an estimate just to allow me a chance to buy their service.  I fell for it, perhaps you shouldn't.

I do not recommend Brothers.  We recently had a hot water tank quit working.  The tank was 4 years old and had a 12 year Whirlpool warranty.  We suspected the thermal coupler had gone out as the pilot light would not ignite.  Of course this happened on a Friday afternoon.  I called Brothers and they were very polite and happy to come on a Saturday.  They answer the phone- How can we make you smile? So far so good.  We should have asked more questions as they do not price by the hour but by the repair.  It cost $45 just for the truck to come out.  They offer a $30 coupon.  Two gentlemen came out as promised and were very polite.  We showed them our tank in the basement and explained what we thought was wrong.  They started working on it and said they were sure the gas control valve had failed and they had to replace that first.  After they did that, it still wouldn't ignite.  Then they replaced the burner unit that had the thermal coupler attached.  Yep, that was the problem.  They charged us $682.00 for work that took them a little over an hour.  This tank cost $600 brand new.  They said to us- we should charge you $1200 but won't since it was their misdiagnosis on the control valve! They new we needed the receipt to get the parts costs reimbursed by Whirlpool but didn't out the costs.  They email the receipt or mail it to you.  I called the following week 2 times asking for a more detailed receipt.  They finally sent one and showed $119 for parts and $563 for labor!! Unbelievable.  If you google them you will see they get 5 stars for the reviews they control- not on Yelp or other independent reviews.

Wouldn't you know it, on the coldest night in February, my mother-in-law's furnace went out while my husband was working out of town.

I decided to call Brothers because I used them before when Direct T.V. drilled into the wiring on my brand new house and they came out and were prompt, friendly, and professional.  When I called Brother's, they were able to scheduled an appointment for that afternoon and then actually called and said they could come earlier. Yay!

Nathan came out and looked at the furnace and ended up having to condemn it which I felt was totally warranted due to the potential risks it could impose on my mother-in-law.  Nathan showed me with a telescoping camera exactly what the problem was and then showed me the Janitrol Manual to substantiate his diagnosis of a failing chamber.  Besides, the furnace was 20 years old so the odds that it needed to be replaced were pretty good.

My husband contacted his electrician friend and ran their quote past him and explained the problem and so he felt comfortable with the quote that was provided.  Sure paying $5,000.00 for a new furnace seems like a lot, but when you weigh out the age of the unit, the advancement of energy efficiency and technology, bringing old things up to code, and most importantly, the safety of your loved ones, it's a small price to pay.

Everyone that I encountered during this whole transaction was professional and courteous and I would have no problem recommending them.

This company tried to scam my family into buying a brand new $6,000 furnace when all we needed was a $100 dollar part to fix it and make it run properly.  Thankfully, we got a second opinion and now $180 dollars later it works perfectly.  I wish the Denver news would have exposed this company, too.

If I could give 0 stars I would.  This is a horrible company with absolutely zero customer service skills.
They will swindle you in to replacing items that do not need replacement, they will no work with you in any circumstance, and refuse to fill out insurance paperwork.  It's all about the commission for this company.
The management is especially bad here, when complaining it took over 3 weeks to get a simple phone call or message replied to.

Go with literally ANYONE ELSE.

Stay away from Brothers.  Once you learn the history of this company, in that Brothers is ran by 2 sisters, it's just lies from day one.  Even employees will tell you they are complete garbage!

Awesome! Had another furnace repair person come out and inspect and clean the furnace. The other company charged me 150.00 to look at the furnace, they did not clean it.
When they found out that we were moving and needed it for the new owners they gave me a estimate of 1000.00 in parts and labor for cleaning. I called Brothers and they were
here in less than two hours. Dan S. charged me 1/3 of what the other company's estimate. All work was completed in a timely manner and he made sure all was working
correctly and no mess was left. Thanks  Dan you were  great. Bunnie

Buyer beware - do not use this company!  I wish I could give negative stars.  Technician was friendly but the cost to install exceeded the cost of the dishwasher itself.  All electrical and plumbing is existing, simply replacing an old dishwasher that has already been removed, all they had to do was connect the new and turn on and they wanted $500!  I wish I would have read the reviews on here prior to scheduling!

WOW.....this company is AWESOME!  I found these folks on YELP last week and felt that I could not take a chance on getting the cheapest plumber because I certainly value my health and the health of my family.  There are SO MANY plumbers and I felt since Brother's had been around for over 35 years they must be doing things right.
Well....they are!  The plumber that did our project was clean cut, respectful and even more importantly, an expert!  He immediately knew what needed to be done and gave us a price.  We agreed to it and he immediately went to work and took care of our problem.  I can tell you I'm sleeping a lot better knowing that my plumbing problem is fixed and I don't have to worry about it again.  I felt the price was fair and I got what I paid for.  BROTHERS PLUMBING ROCKS!  THANK YOU for being professional and responsive!

Stay away from these criminals!!!!!!!! I had two separate plumbing issues I needed fixed so I figured I would have a professional do the work. First problem was a dripping/leaking shower. My second issue was bad water pressure. After they got to my house and I explained my issues the plumber poked around for a few minutes and then told me he could fix both for $1100. What a joke. So I said no thanks and paid him the $45 service fee. He quoted me $400 for the shower, I went to Home Depot and bought the part for $37 and it took me 15 minutes to replace the guts in the faucet. Problem fixed. Second issue he quoted me $700 for the pressure problem. He told me I needed a new water pressure reducer. So I ended up calling another plumber to fix this. The new plumber got to my house looked at my reducer and simply made an adjustment and charged me $50 dollars. Problem fixed. These crooks are worse than used car salesmen, telling you that you need new parts when you don't then trying to charge you hundreds of dollars for labor on work that doesn't need to be done. I don't know how they are still in business. I've already reported these A holes to the BBB. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brother's responded promptly to a request for an evaluation of our air conditioner.  The technician, Herb, was knowledgeable, informative, hardworking, detailed and instilled trust.  Recommendations were implemented and supported with pre and post measurements. Avoid these guys. Their bids are too high, and they try to fix things that aren't broken. I suspect it's because their repair folks work on some sort of commission system and so are incentivized to jack up the bill as high as possible.

Bad communication within the company that cost us 3 weeks with no evaporative cooler. Someone came out, went on the roof, checked the premises, and gave us a quote. We scheduled an appointment, and when the technicians came out for the install, they said they couldn't do the work because of the roof slope, and that the employee should never have given us a quote in the first place. I don't understand how you can have an employee out providing quotes and advice that doesn't even know what the company can or cannot do. Very disappointed.

Brothers was asked to do a estimate on having a gas line run to kitchen  12ft, the technician was very friendly and helpful  thus the 3 stars... price on the other hand was well...
Asbestos test $500
Permit ???
Install $2600 unless they need more materials
And of course the $67 drove out and tell me fee.
I know it's just an estimate but definitely the highest I received.
$3000+
We actually went with the Gas connection in Broomfield they did the estimate over the phone and workers came the next day, inspection 3 days after... and no BS charges... final bill $1500.
If you don't mind paying a drive to your house fee, and crazy estimates go ahead and use Brothers... but call around and get estimates

The service is pretty good. Only have to call them back to fix what they already fixed, once.

This review is about the horrible attitude the appointment setters express. I mean really, this is your first touch point with the customer.. and if the customer is calling you..they are already having a bad day. So maybe, don't add to it with attitude, arrogance, or frustration because your script does not allow for direct questions.

I will not be calling them again.

Note: The people who've come to the house to do repairs have always been good people, with the exception of one child AC repair dude. Showing off in front of the trainee no doubt.. pretty nice hat point.

Don't use them. They just want your trip fee money. They don't actually do anything. We paid a trip fee for them to come fix our broken swamp cooler (it wasn't functioning properly). They came, looked for five minutes and said everything is fine. Today, my unit basically exploded water and I had to turn it all off. Did they do something additional to sabotage it? I already knew it wasn't functioning properly, that's why I called. Anyway, I called them after my swamp cooling unit exploded with water and the lady said she could make an appointment. I asked if I had to pay a trip charge again and she said if it wasn't their work then yes. I responded with That's the problem. I paid for it to be fixed and nothing was done. Do I still have to pay a trip fee if I have you guys come out? The answer I got was that it would be between me and the plumber once they got to my house... um, okay... so I won't know if I have to pay another trip charge or not until I have to pay? Whatever. I called to have it fixed, they showed up for the trip fee money and left without even really investigating the issue and now my unit has exploded, it could have been avoided if they actually did their job. Thanks Brother's for your thorough service and exceptional customer interactions. What a disappointment.

After reading these reviews I am surprised. I had Michael B out to our house for a water heater install. Michael was amazing, staying as late as 11pm to make sure everything was right. They even came by the next week free of charge to check on the system. Maybe I got lucky. I paid what I was quoted. I would definitely use again, provided I could get the same technician.

The first gentleman that came by to give me a quote was very nice and helpful, but he didn't recognize that Xcel had removed my meter creating a closed loop and told me that they probably took it because I needed to have additional components installed/adjusted, which would have been very expensive. Luckily, I called Xcel and found out that they had just removed the meter to be helpful to the electrician to allow for his repairs. The electrician also told me that a component on my roof was not up to code and needed to be fixed, however when a different pair of Brothers technicians came out later, they told me that this was not the case.

The pair that came out to fix my issues worked very quickly and were able to repair everything without any delays.

The things I thought could have been better were:

1. The expenses worked out to be almost $1300 for the repairs, but it only took the technicians an hour and 45 minutes to complete. I looked up the cost of the parts and they were pretty inexpensive, so it seemed to me that I was being WAY overcharged for labor.

2. The receptionist called at 2:43 and told me the technicians would be at my house in 45 minutes. I arrived at my house at 1:25, within the 45 minute period. She then called and left me a message at 1:26, wondering where I was because she had called me more than an hour before! Which was not true.

Overall, I think there are likely better alternatives for your service in Denver.

Really unhappy with the customer service I experienced. I was giving incorrect times multiple times on when the plumber would be out. I've missed now two days of work waiting. So on day two of waiting i had to run out for groceries, I was told my window was 6-8, I called to ask if someone could call me before they came. 545 I get a call saying the plumber came and left. The customer service rep was incredible rude and unapologetic. Won't ever use again!!

If you use these guys you WILL over pay. My parents had a leaky facet, they called these guys out to take a look at it and were told it needed to be replaced. My parents choose a run of the mill facet and were charged $675 to get it and have it installed. What a rip - the facet was only $50 so for less than an hour of work they were charged $625 just for labor.....   I will never advise using Brothers Plumbing and Heating

I was told it would be a no charge to install a kitchen faucet I provided and they charged me $389.  I had them also re-route the pipes under the sink which I knew would be ~ $180.  I ended up paying a total of $568 for 1.5 hours of labor. Manager was quite rude when I questioned, was told I should've done the faucet install myself.  I have spent considerable amount of money in the past with Brothers and to be treated like this?  They have lost this customer for any future plumbing needs.

Had a sprinkler blowout replaced due to it crackking last winter. Technician was nice but only gave me options of patching it $450 or replace it for $700. I had it replaced not knowing that i was WAY over charged, seeing how the blowout costs upwards of 200 and the job took just over an hour. Whats worse is that the cheap blowout already cracked from the first cold day this year. I paid 700 for 6 months of a new blowout. Called brothers and they said that since they didnt do the winterization, $90 fpr my 3 zones!, that its not covered under warranty. I fixed the crack this time, took me 45 minutes and $30. Brothers is a rip off of a company and i advise customers look elsewhere. They feed off of your inexperience and lack of knowledge in their expertise.

Have swamp cooler problem? Don't use them. If Brother's is coming, so are surprise problems needing to be fixed and surprise charges needing to be paid. It's a complete racket. Happens every time. They serviced two swamp coolers for me this summer and both broke down in just a matter of weeks. First they came to service the swamp cooler at my main residence. Their first trick is not warning you before they come that they only fix swamp coolers if you allow them to install the water line outside the house. So, unless I wanted to go wait another week or two I had to go for it. Then, by the time they left, I had paid about 1.5 - 2k (and that's with a member discount). Then a week or two later, the swamp cooler starts blowing hot air. They come to fix it and I'm made aware that the pump happened to be busted. Oh well. What can you do? Happens, right? So I'm now in another 500 bucks for a new pump. That next week they service the swamp cooler at my investment property - $862 in the hole for that job. And less than 5 weeks later that swamp cooler stops working too. What are the odds, right? So when I called the manager I was told that more often than not it was the customer's fault that these things break down. They just do something silly. And of course, that he doesn't see a problem with any of this, the pump could even break down the very next day after they serviced it and they still wouldn't  compensate me for it. While he was at it, he questioned my knowledge of swamp coolers. Which is fair as if I had knowledge of them, I'd probably do this all myself. Only thing with that is, that means there's also no way for me to know if someone working on my swamp cooler is actually fixing a problem or setting it up to break down later so I'll have to throw down more cash on a repair. Lose-lose for me. Win-win for Brother's. Needless to say, they won't be getting another dime of my money and they won't be coming out to help me (as he so eloquently put it) with repairing this second swamp cooler. Avoid these guys at all cost. Emphasis on cost.

Do not use Brother's Plumbing and Electrical service.  I would highly recommend AAARK or My Denver Plumber instead.  Brothers is over-priced for the same services offered by other plumbers and offers a Home Club for which they charge you $19.99 per month for a year that provides no value.  This home club allows Brothers access to your house to find other projects for which they can over charge you.
I recently replaced my water heater.  I called Brothers to get an estimate.  As a member of the Home Club I was told there would be no charge for getting a quote. The Brothers technician arrived, looked at my heater, gave me a quote and then charged me $44 for the estimate.  I explained that I was told I would not have to pay for the estimate.  When I called the office to complain I was told the receptionist who told me I would not be charged was in training and made a mistake.  That is interesting seeing as the receptionist I spoke to is the same one who has been answering the phone for years.
The estimate I did receive for the water heater was DOUBLE the price from AAARK and My Denver Plumber.  Nick from AAARK and Robert from My Denver Plumber could not have been more knowledgeable and informative.  They discussed all my options and really took time to understand what I was looking for.  And their price was half of that offered by Brothers.  Buyer BEWARE!

I recently had Brothers do some plumbing work for me at my rental house in Denver to service a blockage in my plumbing lines.  The first technician to visit my house said he was unable to cable the line, due to the angle of my toilet.  He suggested they instead go through the roof, but said he did not have the equipment to do that.  The next technician showed up the following day and informed me that he was unable to send the cable through the roof access because it was a two story house and it was unsafe to do so.  That is fine, but why did the technician the previous day, who was at the house, suggest this as an option?  As result we wasted another day of my tenants not having access to their shower, AND I was charged a $228 diagnostic fee for a strategy they were unable to perform.

Ultimately they camera'd the line to discover where the blockage was, which ended up being in the back yard.  They then quoted me $6,285 to dig up an 8-10 foot long and 4 deep trench to install the clean out.  I admit this part was my fault.  I was on vacation at the time and didn't want to take the time to call around and find out if I was being screwed.  I ok'd the work.  However, when I returned from my trip, I contacted a plumber who informed me that I got RIPPED OFF.  He said that a bobcat rental (if they didn't own one, was $500 max) and the material to replace the section of pipe and install the cleanout was maybe $100.  He said the labor on the job was 5 hours max.  So I paid roughly $5500 in labor for this work.  Again, I didn't do my homework and I just agreed to it.  Future customers, do your homework and don't get SCREWED BY THIS COMPANY, like I did.

I would not normally waste my time  writing a review over $79. But based on my conversation with their condescending general manager I made an exception. I had a  Brothers technician to my home for a fairly obvious a/c problem. He did not look at anything inside and spent about a half hour outside. Then gave us 4 way overpriced options (30-300% higher than the 2nd technician option-Rock HVAC was awesome). I then scheduled another company to come out 2 days later. The technician went over our a/c system thoroughly did a leak test and found the problem in less than an hour. The problem was a leak in the condensor. A much cheaper repair than a full a/c system (Brothers recommendation). I contacted the general manager of Brothers and explained the difference in effort. He sided with his technicians lack of effort. I explained that I would not recommend them in the future. He condescendingly said I was threatening him with social media over $79. Which I did not but then thought...good idea. I simply gave him the facts and expected him to make an educated decision in regard to the service fee. Apparently lack of effort starts at the top with Brothers. Somehow Google gives them 4.7 stars. Coincidentally they are almost all 5 or 1 star. Strange that YELP gives them 2 stars. Yelp definitely gets this one right.

They charge a $79 trip fee just to come out and look at your furnace.  This is their way of locking you in to paying a ridiculous price for a repair.  The ignitor was bad and the service tech told me it would only take him 20 minutes to replace it.  Total estimate was $430 for the repairs.  This is a rental property of mine in Thornton, however I just had the exact same repair done to my furnace in Fort Collins for $120 total.  I called the repair company I used up north, and they did the repair for $175, including the trip charge from Fort Collins to North Denver.
Unfortunately I had to pay Brothers their BS trip charge, but I was not about to give them another $350 on top of that.  I called the management to complain, they gave me some song and dance about how much nicer the ignitor is that they use, and that they couldn't give a 2 year warranty without the high price.  I told him what good is a warranty if I could have another company do the work 3 times over for the price of 1 repair from Brothers.
I would not advise ever using Brothers Plumbing and Heating, and Tom Martino should be ashamed for recommending them constantly on the radio.  He must be getting a great kickback.

Totally disappointed in this company.. I had my manifold replaced last year in September 2020.. It took them  three tries to supposedly get it fixed and charged me a lot of money.. Soon after the system was shut down for winter.  And just recently received a notice that I owed them money still.
I told them I had already paid them and they apologized for the mistake they  made in their accounting department.
Absolutely inefficient and disorganized.
I turned on my sprinkler system this past week and it still leaks..
I called them over to have it fixed and they literally laughed in my face that it is not their problem anymore and will not fix it.
Left me hanging with a leaking manifold and wet ground that is not their problem or issue.
Absolutely awful workmanship  and will never use this company ever again..
DO NOT RECOMMEND IT WHATSOEVER.

Had a leak in my ceiling and the landlord sent over this company. They showed up on time. They were professional and courteous. They wore shoe covers to keep from tracking in mud and were very respectful being in our home. They worked diligently to locate the leak and then fixed it all in one day. If you need plumbing work I recommend calling Brothers. It was so nice to not have the typical we will be there sometime between Monday and next month type of service one finds so often.

Folks from Brothers Plumbing & Heating have many positive things going for them. They have always been reliable. Friendly and flexible service is what they provide. They have a crew of hardworking individuals and get the job done right. The only downside is the cost of their services. The price for them to come out just to assess the problem (service call) is costly - $75. Usually the coupons can only be applied to the repair service itself. But they now have coupons good for a service call. They advertise in the Yellow Pages, the local mailers, online and many of those come with accompanying coupons. Recently, I saw a coupon good for the type of installation that had already done and I asked if I could apply the coupon to the invoice and they were happy to do it. They were very easy to work with and they always followup. They are a pleasure to do business with.

I returned from my holiday vacation to a freezing house and broken furnace. Freaking out at 9:50pm I called Brothers and they reassured me that the furnace would be taken care of and got me the earliest appointment the following day. Then they called me first thing in the morning and bumped up the appointment even earlier than I was expecting. The technician arrived early and he was highly skilled, patient, and friendly. He answered all of my questions, and he went out of his way to label my circuit breaker for me so that I could solve problems on my own in the future. He also gave me an air filter for my furnace for free.

Peace of mind is what a homeowner needs in situations like this, and Brothers is the company I can rely on.

Hello,

Joe came out today to fix a valve leak on the emergency gas shutoff for my fireplace. At first he could not find a leak, so he lit the pilot light and turned the gas on and the fireplace worked. He went into the crawl space and tightened a valve an eighth of an inch. He came back upstairs and was cleaning up when the fireplace glass shattered!

I called Brothers and listened for 10 minutes while on hold to the satisfaction guarantee jingle. I eventually spoke to John and requested my refund per the jingle and for Brothers to pay for the glass replacement. He argued and refused.

Even though we're renting, and the landlord does all the repairs himself, we felt the need to get the heater professionally inspected before turning it on for the winter. Safety first, right?

We chose Brother's because, well, we got a thing in the mail. Seriously, it was one of those junk mail things we tend to throw away without a second thought.

Setting up the appointment was easy enough, and the operator lady was nice, as was the tech who did the heater inspection and start-up. The only problem I have with the company is that, 30 minutes before my appointment window, i received a call saying that they wouldn't have anyone in the area until, at minimum, two hours *after*  my window was closed. My way of thinking is, rescheduling is fine. But they had two days to realize that my appointment wouldn't work for them, and they waited until just before my appointment to reschedule. Not cool.

Aside from that, though, I'm pretty happy with them.

This is a tough one... Everyone I spoke to was very professional and the work was performed well. That's the good news. The bad news is that after the workmen left, I was made aware that NO ONE in the Denver metro area overcharges like this company...Of course, when your hot water heater is leaking, you just want it fixed ASAP and assume that every professional plumbing company will, at the very least, do the work at a competitive price. I even pulled up the 5 highest priced local companies in an effort to prove to my wife that I'm not an idiot. Sadly, I found that I most definitely am. The average high end price of those 5 companies was approximately $1500 LESS than what I paid.

This was a hard sell employee who barely would take NO for an answer.  He pushed so hard, I knew this company was not going to get the job to repair my furnace.  I was promised an email quote, which I never got.....the verbal one was for 1.)  a new furnace, 2.)  a blower motor, and 3.)  an igniter.  The cheapest fix was the igniter that was over $570 + the $89 service call.  The next day, I got a referral from a friend.....the igniter was $330 + I bought a $149 year service plan...the total was less than the igniter cost.  A card was left on my door for Brothers......I will never be tempted to call on a company who leaves  anything on my door.  I was in a jam, but this is NOT the company you should choose.  I got my $89 service call refunded, as I got no quote....just 4 separate sets of pictures of my furnace.  Pretty sorry customer service and super high pricing.

Paid $89 for a ridiculous quote. That must be how they make money. Quote to install bathroom fan was over $2200, with $800 of that being electrical. The electrical consists of wiring the fan to a switch. He said it would be in total about 5 hours worth of work for the entire system. And lastly, I asked them to call 30 min prior to arrival and all I got was an irritated phone call saying their tech was there with no one answering. That happens when you don't follow directions.

This company is a joke!  I called them to get a quote to get A/C installed in our home.  They wanted to charge me $50 to just come out and give me a quote.  When I told them i wasn't going to pay them to give me a quote as I was planning to get 2-3 quotes them make a decision. The person on the line got really aggressive to say the least and I ended the conversation.  I've never heard of any company trying to charge you to give you a quote for something that likely would cost $4K or more and earn your business.

First they called last minute to tell me the technician had called out sick. They told me they would re-schedule. They continued to call me trying to change the schedule yet again and I told them I needed to stick to the original scheduled time. They called me an hour after the technicians scheduled arrival to tell me he's too busy and maybe they could come by tomorrow. This has been a major waste of my time.

I called and made an appointment to have our hot water heater replaced and to have our furnace looked at.  I could not have gotten better service from both technicians.  Milo looked at our furnace and walked me through everything he was doing.  I was totally comfortable with the work he did after he explained everything to me.   Mike replaced our hot water heater, and he was excellent!!!!  I would highly recommend Brother's plumbing and heating.  They were honest with the quote for both the hot water heater and furnace.
During this time of CoVid, they wore their masks the entire time that they were in the house.  It is hard to find honest and reliable businesses and this is one of them in my book.

Being a woman, I thought I could trust a business run by two sisters. Wrong. I was convinced to join their $20/month club. I'll be cancelling that. Milo charged me $500 to change the tiny copper tubing that runs to my evaporative cooler. Then he said I needed a new belt which was not on his fully loaded truck as they advertise. Had to make an appointment for him to come back the next week with a new belt. He arrived WITHOUT THE BELT and left to go to some warehouse to pick it up! I was charged for time and another travel charge. That's so wrong. Milo also told me my BreezeAire evaporative cooler won't last and I should replace it with A/C. Another tech looked at my system and said it was simply a bracket that needed to be tightened and that my BreezeAire will last for many more years. I will be avoiding the Sisters at Brothers from now on.

They tried to charge my elderly mother $2,200 for zone valves and they left her heat off when she said it was too expensive.  We got it done at Ryco for a lot less.  They charged $640 total.  I would not recommend Brothers

I had an old water heater e=which I knew was past its due date for replacement, so when the pilot light blew out on a weekend, I call Brothers and set an appointment.  The guy they sent out seemed knowledgeable and professional.  He went out of his way to explain everything, and committed it to writing.  So far so good.

His quote to install a new water heater included all kinds of stuff to bring my installation up to code and the total came to over $4,000.  He tried hard to close the deal on the spot, but I refused.

I called a couple of alternative contractors.  I made sure they were going to pull permits, and address everything the Brothers quote included...a bigger exhaust pipe, new gas fittings, etc.  I accepted a quote of $2,300.

A word of caution about these guys...get a competitive bid, even if you believe they have accurately represented what you need.  They will overprice your job.

I gave them a one star rating because at least the guys that came out to do the work were polite. I found a leak in my kitchen and called them and they came out and told me that they were leaks under the house too that they had to fix and they could either patch up the links and I would spend over $1000 or I could get all of my pipes in my house done for $4400. We decided to get the whole house done so we don't have any issues when we go to sell in the future. The inspector from the city came out and found out that I still have a leak under the house and they Did not put in any sealant or anything to protect rodents from getting in our walls when they redid the pipes in the bathrooms and then I got a call from work from people doing the renovations on my home to advise me that my water heater is leaking. I'll call Brothers back out to check the leak in the water heater from where they replace the new pipe and the gentleman told me that my water heater was shot and then it was seven years old and then I'm going to have to get another water heater and I might as well see if they can go ahead and finance me another $2000. Meanwhile the work that the brothers did on all the piping was inspected and they were supposed to be at my house today at 12 PM. I got off work early to meet them here and now it is 6 PM on a Friday and they still have not arrived to fix their issues and the inspector is coming back To my house Tuesday in the work has not been done. We also found out that our water heater is only like four years old. We have reached out to them and my husband has reached out to a supervisor and left him a message and we have yet to receive any response. I will personally never recommend anyone to go to them because I found out that I have ever paid almost $3000 to have my pipes replaced and now they're trying to get another 2000 out of me. Meanwhile the entire weekend and almost a week of a leak under my house is still going on which means a higher water bill and more damage. A phone call would have been nice even if there is an issue with scheduling especially after we have financed over $4000. Also now there are mice droppings in my daughters wall where the pipes went into the bathroom because it was not sealed properly so we have another problem to worry about as well

Do not hire this company. They quoted us one price, we signed the contract, they disconnected our water heater, shut off our gas, then came in to say that they forgot to charge us $600 dollars. I don't know what I was thinking, I messed up. The tech said. When we reminded him that we already signed the agreement he repeated himself saying that he messed up. When we asked him to connect everything again because we couldn't afford the additional charge, the tech whistled and hummed the rest of the job. Singing and laughing does not say I messed up.

No remorse, no etiquette.

AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET TAKEN!

All I needed was a.c. cleaned for new buyers. Instead,  Troy came out, repaired or replaced a couple parts added Freon,  check book in hand so far all ok, then power goes out,  Troy before this,  kept annoyingly pushing for a new unit. , I know he blew the board on purpose.  Why, would he & brothers replace it at their cost? However,  when he blew the board, he fried the compressor.  They billed me $1800, for NOTHING. Unit worked before that, when they left, it was broke and they had 1800 of my money.  They tried to say I had electrical problems.  INCOMPETENT THIEVES AND LIARS! RUN!

I called Brothers because they offer it all--plumbing, sprinklers, electrical. I had to have some plumbing work done. The other stuff was optional. When they got here, I thought their prices seemed crazy high--I sent the electricians away immediately after seeing their estimate ($1,000+ for adding a new circuit)--but I approved the plumbing work to be done. I think paying extra for high-quality, rock-solid work is fine. BUT, at the end of the day, I was charged a ton for the work, and they have to come back to fix it because it leaks. I wouldn't recommend using this company.

In fairness, I will launch with the positive. Brothers was polite and professional. They confirmed the appointment the day before and sent an email when the technician was on the way.

The problem with Brothers: we live amidst large, old trees. We routinely have our main line roto-rooted every 2 years - no problem, no blockage, just routine maintenance. We asked for an estimate when we made the appointment and Brothers refused - said there would be a $40 trip fee but refused to give even a cost range for simple, routine main line cleaning. The technician arrived and immediately tried to upsell - no, we don't want or need the camera - had that done previously and all was well. Price - $388 - no thank you.

I understand that service providers can't give a firm price until they see what they're dealing with, but we were clear - no blockage, no slowness, no odor, no problem - just routine maintenance. They could have easily given a possible, not promised, price range when we made the appointment. Had they acknowledged a range around $388, we would have said no thanks and not wasted $40 for a useless trip charge. Because they refuse even a nonguaranteed cost range, we spent $40 for nothing.

By the way, another contractor is coming tomorrow for $79 which gives you some idea about Brother's $388 price.

Avoid by any cost.
They screw you, though they do it with a smile.
They have charged me 949 $ for replacement of blower motor in my furnace. After the job was done I asked for a bid for water heater replacement and they came with 2350 $. It sounded too much to me so I've googled a little and asked for a bid from 4 other local business. The highest I received was 650 $, i.e. they have charged me 300$ more than the highest bid. The motor price should be around 250$, so for less than 2 hours they've chrged for labor and extra expenses 700$.
When I called and talk with a manager and asked to receive explanation for the huge difference in price, comparing to other business, he explained: that there are many other expenses rather than the parts cost and labor that I need to consider and how hard is it to get good technicians.
DON'T GO THERE.
AVOID THESE GUYS!

Absolute rip-off artists.  I've never known a more dishonest company.  I've had the opportunity to get quotes from them for work several times and they always try to bill for work that doesn't need to be done.  I received a quote from them recently for $2200 for a small job.  Another company did the work for $560 and laughed at Brothers quote.  The one time I DID use Brothers, I had a problem with the work and they refused to fix it saying that it wasn't their fault.  Never, ever use this company! One star is too generous!

Pricing is outrageous. $838 to install a $100 part. I watched the guy do it in under 90 minutes. I could easily do it myself next time.
They do respond fairly quickly, nothing wrong with the repair they did other than price. When I talked to the manager the next day, he was totally defensive and it was all just business as usual as far as he was concerned.

Jack up the price so ridiculous that wouldn't possibly use them than take $45 from you. The guy was at the house literally five minutes. This company really screws you on their prices. We had some electrical work done at a place I work and we were charged $161.00 for a single light switch!!!!! Yes, ONE light switch was 161.00! You can get a top of the line one for less than $15.00. They also charged us $389.00 for a ballist. Again, a top of the line one is less than $100.00
They got the one star because the technicians were actually decent people.
There are a lot of other quality places out there. Do your research and find a better place than Brothers.

Not a review for the gentleman that came to my house, who was a good guy and was as helpful as he could be. But the prices quoted to me were insane. I have absolutely no problem with a place making some money, but the computer generated prices this poor dude was quoting me were out of control. I have used them once before in a bind, and there is nothing wrong with their staff or work- just crazy prices

My husband and I bought The Money Pit house; it needed a lot of TLC.  While Brothers IS a bit pricey, they've been responsive, on time (for their many visits), polite, friendly, respectful of our house, knowledgeable, service-oriented, and thorough.  Jack, Scott, Buddy, Dane, Zolie, and a couple of others have been so great.  All the different jobs/problems we had have now been corrected and to our satisfaction.

On their first visit, Zolie and Jack addressed the massive mess of pipes and valves under the kitchen sink that the previous owner's DIY style had mangled.  They also noticed major cracks in our garbage disposal (something the home inspection missed).  We asked them if they could replace it, and they did so, on the spot.  Additionally, they identified and repaired a couple of gas leaks in the basement.  I have to say I expected them to show up, take a look and give me an estimate, then come back another time to actually do the work.  When they said they could start right then, I was pleasantly surprised - to my mind preparedness above and beyond.

We called Brothers again after our basement drain backed up.  While checking all of the main floor drains, Buddy discovered that one of them was completely cracked and the water was gushing into the crawl space.  He didn't have exactly the right size drain pipe, but he repaired the leak and returned later - with Scott - to replace the drain pipe and cover.  While in the basement, Scott said he thought he still smelled a little gas.  Sure enough, he located another small leak.  The guys worked well into the evening to re-pipe the entire gas line for no charge.  Heads-up above and beyond.

After our gas line passed city inspection, Dane came out to hook everything back up.  We'd bought a new gas range and a new refrigerator, but had not unboxed/packaged them prior to Dane's arrival.  He helped us unbox the appliances, move them into position, and then he hooked everything up.  Again, above and beyond.

We joined the Home Care Club, and true to its advertising, we were contacted for an annual safety inspection and immediately scheduled.  Jack showed up on time and worked his way through the house.  Not surprisingly, everything checked out.  And we're confident that if anything goes wrong, we can rely on Brothers' service.  While at the house, Jack was kind enough to solve a quick issue with our bathroom hardware.  Again, above and beyond.

Thanks, Brothers - you bet we're fans.

Very dissatisfied with quote to clear a bathroom drain.  $49 trip charge then I was quoted $297 to cable (snake) the bathroom drain. $388 for main line.
By not providing the customers the prices on the phone when they are standard prices. They wait until you are on the hook for the $49 trip charge. I feel brothers has dishonest business practices. I'm not alone,  the plumber says this happens allot with brothers and the customers.

The $297 is really the lowest service they provide and then add on $49 trip charge.   I wish I could get my $50 service call back.

Do not support this business.

I've had Brothers out to my house four times, twice to start up my Swamp Cooler and twice to shut it down. Their people are nice, they are on time, and I generally felt that they did a good job, adequately performing these simple tasks in a timely manner...until yesterday. They sent out a technician who, while polite and professional, did not know what he was doing and even admitted so. He failed to clean the swamp cooler or place the dampers in the unit, even after I confronted him, while concurrently trying to upsell me on a cover which has not been needed before...he seemed rushed, distracted, and unwilling to do the job.

I hoped this was a blip on the radar as my previous experiences were good, but when I called to escalate the issue to a manager, they could not connect me to one because they were on break at 3pm in the afternoon. After I was unavailable when they initially called me back, they did not return my calls, which then forced me to call again this afternoon and wait on hold for another 15 minutes before being put in touch with a VP. He of course was unapologetic and failed to offer to send out a more qualified tech to ensure the job was properly done.

I'll be taking my future business to one of the other qualified HVAC companies going forward and I recommend you do the same.

Sorry to have to say beware of this company.  They came out to diagnose a small problem and recommended replacing a system that was only a few years old or alternatively recommended a fix that was needed that would have cost about $2500.  I was charged a service charge for them to come out and do nothing but misdiagnose the problem....  I got a second opinion.  The next day a different company came out and diagnosed the actual problem and fixed it.  Bros. never identified the actual problem that was fixed.  The second company repaired the furnace/ac and solved the issue.  I tried several times to reach out to the company to discuss but they could not reach anyone. I thought they would want to know that their service people were recommending services that wouldn't have fixed the issue and that were extremely over priced. What is the most disappointing is that they were not concerned about knowing about this extremely poor service.

Twice I've had appts with these people and they have cancelled at the last minute on me.  Most recently, had an appt for them to repair my heat on Wednesday morning 11/2. They called at 7:30 am cancelling and wanting to reschedule for Sunday. Thursday the forecast was for snow and a low of 28 degrees!!  I found another company (A Perfect Plumber) that came out Wednesday afternoon and rescued me. On the occasions Brother's did come out I felt they overcharged for the work. Also, most annoying way they answer their phone, How can I make you smile?  Duh, by not cancelling and charging a fair price!

My plumber showed up on time and he was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My Plumber's name was Marc.  He was GREAT! The only positive thing I can say is the electrician that came to the house was professional, But their pricing is ridiculous, the company gouges you.  I have two outlets for my garage door openers.  need them moved from the ceiling to the wall.  estimate $2000 -   shock, disappointed etc..  I told them what I required on the phone and there was no mention of a this type of cost.  Shoppers beware!!!  Still charged me the $80 bucks.  They also wanted me to have them service my air conditioners.  Never happen will go to someone else.

I had these guys come out to check out an issue with my basement plumbing - no flushing, bathtub backing up, washing machine issues, the works.

I read reviews on Yelp and Google Places and wasn't impressed (talk of price gouging) but I couldn't find anyone better, I needed help immediately, and they were offering free consultations for the weekend.

The fellow came to my house the night before my housewarming, so I was a little too desperate to get it fixed. However, when I saw the price tag ($1,350-$1,500 plus maybe some electrical work) I balked. He said I had the wrong kind of pump (mind you, he didn't check) and would need replacing. I sent him home. Not that he was happy about it.

Several months later I was ready to bite the bullet and pay these astronomical rates when my boyfriend got a recommendation from our neighbor (Leaving a review for them soon, check it out) and we called them. Needless to say, they were AWESOME.

Turns out we didn't need a new pump, we needed 2 hours of labor to remove a blockage in the pipe.

I won't be calling on Brother's again, thank you very much.

To perform a small fix in the tank of our toilet and unclog a kitchen sink, we received an estimate of in excess of 500$!  This cost would be unacceptable even at half that.  I sent him on his way after the initial 45$ to come out and take a look.

In summary, these guys have completely sky-high prices and you should save yourself the money and go with another company.

I listened to the radio ads featuring the sisters of brothers plumbing.  I had a plugged up bathtub in an apartment that I owned.  The appointment was set and I was told that there would be a travel fee; but if I accepted the bid for the job, that fee would be applied to the final bill.  When I showed him the job he gave me a quote of $300.00.  Most other plumbing services charge a fee of $99.00 to do the same job.  I reluctantly paid the $100.00 and found another plumber that had more realistic fees.  I hired someone else and he cleared the plugged up tub for $99.00. I felt ripped off by Brothers.  I will never call them again.  I called another plumber and he came out quickly and got the job done in about 30 minutes.  I wonder how many jobs Brothers  get turned down on and only get the outrageous trip charge?

Had them come out yesterday to replace a sillcock valve.  $45 service call, but then they wanted $500 to replace the valve!  WAY overpriced!  I will neither use them or call them again!  I ended up replacing my own valve!  The valve itself cost me $35 from Lowes, and actually took me less than an hour to replace it!  I'm no plumber, but I did my own job!  Forget calling this overpriced ripoff company~!

They run a professional business but are way to proud of their services. Had a blockage in sink, they came on time, nice polite guy. But when I said OK I'm gonna get some chores done whilst you fix it, he said hold on lets talk about price. I was assuming they would just charge an hourly rate, but no, to unblock my sink they wanted $290.00 + Tax. So I asked him how long it would take and he said probably 45 mins. Since when did plumbers get paid like Dr's or lawyers... actually I think that's more than most lawyers. I told him that was too much, so had to pay the $45.00 call fee. Got another company out and they did it for $145.00....  It's a rip, don't go there.

Knowledge and expertise were 10 star. We had an electrical problem in our aluminum wired home. Javier and Nick were our technicians. Great guys! We had a new supply box put in along with all of our sockets and switch plates upgraded. There were a host of problems in the wiring in this old house that these two had to figure out. They didn't give up and went above and beyond. We would only call this company for any future needs and request these 2 guys. Pleasant and trustworthy. Didn't get charged a penny more than the estimate either to our surprise! Great company and great guys! Highly recommend!

Made an appointment to fix a running toilet.  Showed up on time and I showed the two men the toilet.  He checked the Kohler and said he would look for parts in the van.  He then came back and said Kohler was having lots of problems with their aqua piston flush system and he could repair it for just over $500 plus the $45 call out or he could replace it for just under $500 plus the $45 call out.  Brand new the toilet costs $300.  We said no thanks and paid the $45.  I called kohler and the rep said they hadn't heard of any issues, asked me to describe the problem, said it was probably the gasket (available at Home Depot), told me how to replace it, told me where to find a video, and said call back and they could walk me through it.  Got the gasket for under $8 and it took about 5 minutes to replace.  I will never do business with Brothers.

They came back out to give us an estimate. It was outrageous, and when we said, What about the part your company played in making this problem worse? The tech said, I don't know anything about that. So my partner explained the situation to which the tech replied, Oh yeah. We considered that in our estimate.  I thought my head was going to explode. You just said you didn't know anything about it. Long story short Brothers is refusing to take any responsibility for their actions. I am so sorry I ever called them. You have a lot of choices when it comes to companies like this. Stay as far away from Brothers as you can!!!

Shame, shame, shame on the office people with Brothers Plumbing!!!!  The plumber who came to the appt. was fine but the two people I talked with at the office about the service I needed were both completely misleading.  They assured me they could provide what I asked for but it wasn't until the service call that I learned the plumber could not provide what I asked for and what he could provide would cost over $900!!!!  Completely unreasonable cost to install a simple toilet!!!!

We were very happy with our experience using Brothers. We just moved into our new house and were having some issues with the AC unit. We called on Sunday morning and they sent a technicians the same day. He serviced and checked everything with the heat and air system. He also found a gas leak and repaired that as well. Everything is running better than ever. We have set up a plan to have them continue to service our systems. The previous owners of our home suggested using Brothers and we understand why now. It is nice to find a company that treats you fair and is very knowledgeable.

Quoted me $4500 to replace my broken Evap Cooloer. Had a second opinion- Cooler had been disconnected from the water line, and parts were missing. Other companies charge at MOST $2900 for new Evaps including install. Scam artists- Terrified now because I have had a ton of electrical work done by them.

I find it ironic that when they answer the phone they ask, 'How they can I make you smile today?'.  Hmmmm, let's start with (1) not gouging the customers, (2) laying off the attitude, and (3) significantly improving customer service.  Seems pretty basic to me.  Here's what happened.

I called them to get an estimate to install an InSinkErator instant hot water dispenser.  They were not able to give me a ball park figure over the phone so I scheduled an appointment and agreed to pay the $45 visit fee.  The fact that they don't give free estimates should have been my first red flag.  I am a project manager in the construction industry and I would NEVER charge a client for an estimate.

A few hours before my appointment they called to see if I was available earlier in the day.  I was not, and the woman gave me attitude.  Nonetheless, I confirmed that they were going to call 30 minutes prior to the technician arriving, as they told me when I made my appointment.  Sometime during my appointment window, I get a call saying that the technician is at the property.  When I told them it would take me 30 minutes to get there, since I did not receive my 30 minute warning call, I got attitude again.  Where's the apology for not getting the call I was promised?  Instead I get huffs and puffs that I'm not there. What??

Once I get there, the technician takes a look at what needs to be done and gives me an estimate - $659, plus the $45 visit fee.  I ask him how long it will take him and he says about 2 hours.  I ask him why it's so expensive and he looks at me, like he can't believe I'm even asking this and says, with attitude (surprise, surprise), 'my time'.  $300 an hour?  I'm clearly in the wrong business.

Now, I am not a plumber but from looking at the installation instructions, it doesn't seem that complicated.  There was already a hole in the granite (from a soap dispenser) that the faucet fit perfectly into so all he had to do was install the faucet, mount the tank, and connect the water.  Needless to say, I did not hire Brothers, but did have to pay $45 for nothing (well, not nothing, I got a lot of attitude).

A handyman just installed the unit for me for $60.  True, he's not a licensed plumber but he has done a lot of plumbing work and had no problems with the installation.  Don't hire Brothers.  Ever.

Extremely over priced.

Service call is $49 not bad I expected about that.  Shower head was dripping, replaced the cartridge and washers. 20 minutes later$400!

Since the guy was there I asked about hooking up the ice maker.  Thinking this can not cost much. I have the kit that I got with the refrigerator. They wanted $571!

Needed ball valve repair for underground sprinkler system. Called Brothers because of ad which highlighted their precautions taken due to coronavirus. Estimate was 500 dollars. Went ahead with work because my health condition warrants limited contact. Technician was courteous but here for less than an hour. Subsequently learned parts average about 60-80 dollars. TOTAL RIP OFF. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!!

My client called them to clean the sewer line and I found out it was about $75-100 more than most companies charge.  The repair person then quoted $11,000 to fix a sewer that had nothing wrong with it.  I couldn't believe they were going to try and get the seller to put a new sewer in.  My first thoughts were because the husband spoke only Spanish but they continued this with his English speaking wife.  On top of everything we couldn't get them to send any paperwork of the work they did perform until we spoke to a manager!  Stay away from this company.  My next stop will be the Better Business Bureau.

We had to have some work done on our place and they did an amazing job.  The scheduling process was easy and straightforward.  When we scheduled we needed two separate services, a furnace cleaning and inspection and a sump pump repair.  They found a tech who could do both to reduce the number of show up fees they would charge.  When that tech could not come and they needed to send two they kept their word and only charged the one fee.  The techs were both honest, respectful and did a fantastic job.  They even put show covers on without being asked.  The prices were completely reasonable and they didn't charge extra for coming out on a Saturday.  All and all I was extremely impressed with the entire experience and will absolutely be using them in the future for any plumbing or HVAC issues that I may have!

Buyer Beware, have used Brothers in the past and their service has gone way down hill and is overpriced.  After a few months of trying to resolve a warranty claim in my contract, I in fact have a shorter warranty than sold (5 year vs 10 year).  I overpaid, was under served, lied to with warranty coverage and took me multiple efforts during install of an air conditioner to pass the mechanical and electrical inspections, all on my own time coordinating with the County.  There is better service in the Denver Metro Area.

After our basement flooded a couple of months ago, this was the 4th plumber we solicited services from and the ONLY one I wouldn't recommend. Compared to other more professional and friendly companies the pricing is exhorbitant. They don't return phone calls which is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the manager claims he didn't receive my phone call let alone return it after I waited on hold for well over five minutes and had to leave 2 voice mails. After speaking to him, he told me we were stuck with the charges because we agreed to it. I explained that I was calling to find out HOW they priced to which he replied, It's all on your invoice. Buyer beware, they apparently have some book that you are not actually allowed to see but take the technicians word for how much it costs in labor. When I asked for a copy of the page that would explain my charges he said I couldn't get that from them. Sounds fishy to me. We decided to use this company because we had a $30 off coupon. So much for that doing any good. We live in Broomfield and there are many other plumbers I would recommend if you have services that are needed....ones that are reasonable, professional when they show up, and more than willing to meet the customers requests.

Called Brothers for an issue.  Scheduled an appointment.  They called back to move the appointment up and at that time signed up for their Club.  I changed my schedule to meet the tech. While waiting for the tech they called to inform me they don't service my area even though they came to my home a couple of weeks ago. A day wasted.  They should have completed the appointment and then apologize that I am out of their service area and refund my club membership. Not professional. Very disappointed.  Quit sending me mailing that you service my area

Brothers strikes again. Please people, there are so many licensed and professional plumbing services in Denver, just go to anyone of them, we have choices. I understand going with someone just because you've heard their name on the radio a hundred times and it's the first name you dial but just consider your pocketbook.

I'll just echo the other reviews and call out their business model of a 50 dollar trip charge for outrageous service fees and labor. When I asked why it was so expensive they cited their warranty...gimmie a break. Just say it's because you get the job done quickly and with little hassle. If that's what you're charging for then just say it, cowards.

Just read the other reviews here, specifically when they itemize the cost of each job. Call anywhere else and it will be half as much.

I've hired Brother's several times for two houses - they are always prompt and professional.

Zolie was out to my house yesterday - second time I have been lucky enough to get him. He's a fantastic plumber with exceptional customer service skills.

I know there are cheaper plumbers out there (I've used some - you get what you pay for) and there are more expensive ones too. I've settled on these guys because of their customer service (on the phone and job site), they warranty their work, and they get the job done right so I don't have to worry about the problem anymore.

Called Brother's regarding the repair of a leaking Shark valve atop my hot water heater. Aside from an $89 trip fee to come to my home, the bill for replacing the piping T into which the Shark valve was installed [valve itself was fine and was reinstalled without any repair] came to a SHOCKING, AMAZING, UNBELIEVABLE ---- $500 plus change !!!

While the work was acceptable, this pricing is not ... way too expensive to the point of being an insult to the customer. I was forced into accepting this because of timing circumstances but will never use Brother's again simply because I am not made out of money.

Advice to the unwary, do not let them come to your home without some kind of rough estimate for the services required. Over $500 bucks for what should have been at most a 30 minute repair, which took several hours because the workman arrived improperly equipped for the job, despite my complete description and explanation of the simple job to the home office.

Came highly recommended and like many other local Denver area companies the customer service is great. The problem usually is product and price. On three separate calls the fees were much higher than the market price and these were all service oriented!
1) Wanted 400 $ to clean home furnace (a warhorse Lennox from the 70s) and replace the ignitor filament. I could order the same part for 20-40$ online and use my electrostatic vacuum to do the same job. Gave them 99$ per special. By the way the filament is still working fine 5 years later.
2) Had them service a small condo furnace as per home association code. Cost was like 400$!!! I questioned it and they walked me through each cleaning step. No doubt great job and thorough but almost 200$ more than the next most expensive quote. Cost supposedly came with furnace model and space? Decided that was it for them though they had come highly suggested.
3) Had to use them once more in emergency while we were out of country and a flood from rain required a basement unit cleaning of a hot water heater at a rental unit. Only option available since they were the servicers listed on the unit by association code. They cleaned us out at 800$ yes 800$$$$$$$$ for cleaning and repair of the 10 year old hot water heater. Are you kidding me???? I could have and would have bought a completely new unit with massive warranty for that price (little 40 gallon unit).
Hence this review. Great services, really high prices, no way to defend these actions at these prices. Really a morals issue if you get down to it. Go elsewhere and save a bookoou of bucks.

I had a good experience with Brothers.

Generally I try to give business to smaller businesses or to call around for estimates, but I was in a time crunch. Brothers was available the next day, at a reasonable time frame of my choosing.
They gave the 30 mins pre-call, came and promptly fixed the issue within 40 mins!

I can't say how they compared to other companies prices wise. I would prefer they don't charge the $40 to come and assess the issue without applying it towards the repairs if you decide to go with them. However, there are ample coupons on yellowpages.com and they offer a military discount.

Overall, they did a good job, were available at my convenience, and were friendly.

I was dramatically over charged! I was quoted $1000.00 for a problem that I had another plumber fix for $225.00 and was charged $788 for work that another plumber said he would have charged $250.00 for. The plumber was nice, courteous and professional but took 4 hours to do the work when another plumber said it should have been no more than 30 minutes per sink. I called Brother's and spoke to a manager asking if there was any way I could get some of my money back and the bottom line was NO. I do not recommend using Brother's unless you have the money to throw away.

BUYER BEWARE! These guys are basically criminals! They recently tried to charge my father $700 for a simple garbage disposal installation! The average cost of such a job is $350, and if you do it yourself, $150. They'll charge you 100% more than other places and do a mediocre job. They've been doing this to my dad for nearly a decade, and it's caused significant financial strain on my household.

This business should be shut down. I've considered reporting them to the BBB. Sure, the workers are nice and polite, but that's how they trick you into believing that their prices are fair. Like another reviewer, they told us the price was because they were the best, but that's nothing more than a manipulative lie.

They've manipulated my father (an older man, clueless about housework) for years. Last time he had them install a garbage disposal, they charged him $600, and unfortunately he agreed on the price. Brothers PH&E should be ashamed of having manipulated an old man into paying 100% more than other businesses.

Well, that garbage disposal crapped out a year later, and I think they were trying to con him into paying even more ($700) for a replacement! They knew that he had no idea about what this kind of thing should cost, so I suspect they thought he would be easy to manipulate even further. Thankfully I explained to him that they grossly overcharged him last time, so he didn't fall for it again.

Using them for so long has put my dad in the red financially. This business has damaged our household due to their seedy, manipulative, greedy practices.

I wish I had done more research before hiring Brothers P&H to install my new kitchen sink...  The plumber charged me over $800 for the work and then talked me into joining a club membership, saying that I would get discounts on services and I could cancel at any time.  Well, even with the discounts I paid WAY WAY more than necessary for subsequent work done.  When I attempted to cancel the membership I was told that I was locked into a contract and I could either ride it out or I could pay back the discounts I had received.  On top of the shady business dealings, I've been disappointed in their service.  I had to have them come back out to re-clear my main line...they didn't provide new filters during a furnace inspection (as they had said they would) and their technicians contradict each other when they come out.  I've had a number of services done since joining their club and I calculate that I overpaid by more than a thousand dollars -- even after their discount.  Very questionable business and I will not be using them ever again -- nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

ok, I created a yelp account just to write this review. I knew I will not use this company anymore but after reading all the really bad reviews, I felt the need to share the words here so people will have a 2nd thought before calling them for services. I feel my experience is pretty telling since I used their service two times in a matter of 2 weeks.

I've had issues with my AC recently so I used their service on 2 separate occasions.

1. replace a compressor capacitor. Cost: 500 dollars.
2. replace the fan motor, initially asked for over 1200 dollars, then dropped to 934 dollars.

When my AC stopped working the 1st time, I was informed about the 80 dollars show up fee.(I am fine with it, their technicians do need to come to my place in a hot day). Then after spending a little time checking, I was told that one of the capacitor needs to be replaced and it cost 500 dollars to do that. At that time I was a little suspicious given how much a capacitor can cost, but I was in dire need of AC cuz it was very hot, so I paid for it.

Then my AC started to make some rattling noises after 2 weeks, I called them to do a follow up check. The technicians told me that I need to replace the old fan motor, and that cost over 1100 dollars to do it, plus the 80 dollar show up fee, so the final cost is over 1200 dollars. At this point I was in shock, I should probably just tell them that I will not let them do the replacement for me for that much. Anyway, because they did not have a new motor in their truck, so they had to go back and get it for me. After they left, I did a quick research on the internet and found out how much it normally cost for a fan motor replacement and all those bad reviews about their ridiculous charge.  I called their customer service and told her that I will ask other companies to do this for me. I was put on hold for a while then she just told me a manager will contact me. That has not happened yet, and based on all the previous bad reviews, I doubt it'll ever happen.

When their technicians came back with a new motor, I told them I already called their customer service for this, asked him to put everything back then just pay the show up fee. He told me he already took my old motor and it was in recycle, and without them installing it now I would have no AC or hot waters. Wow! Eventually they agreed to charge me for the non-truck motors. It was until then that I learned they charge you for 200 dollars more just for them to go back to their office to get a new motor because they do not have one ready in their truck. What a joke! At this point, I kinda had no options but to proceed.

I saw one of the bad reviews that says: There is expensive, then there is crazy expensive, and then there is Brother's. Couldn't agree more. For my fellow homeowners, do yourself a favor, stay away from this company and avoid get ripped off.

PS: All the possibly auto-generated replies from the business owners is just hilarious.

Had a leak that was misidentified. I had three different plumbers investigate the leak, and Brothers was the only one to give me a different scope and solution to the problem. Their solution would have destroyed my bathroom and cost double what the final fix actually cost. The cost was so astronomical that they were pushing me to abandon my mainline and re-pipe my whole house. They cut multiple holes in my wall when only one was necessary, and charged me for the quote alone in addition to cutting holes in my drywall which I had to repair. All in all, they gave me terrible advice, attempted to push me into an expensive and unnecessary fix, and the tech they sent was nice but seemed inexperienced which proved to be the case. Extremely dissatisfied, but I am happy I found a better plumbing company to fix my leak at literally a third of the cost.

Absolutely shocking that this company is rated as highly as it is. Here's a frank review regarding a rootering-like service.

1. The dispatchers claim they have no price guide available. This is a joke; just a moment.
2. The service guy arrives at my house carrying an iPad WITH ALL POTENTIAL PRICING IN IT AS DICTATED BY THE OWNER.
3. The clog is basic and beneath the toilet.
2. There's no backup in the house or extreme issues - just a clog that needs to be snaked.
3. The pricing for doing a rooter service is $450 ALONE.
4. The pricing to re-seat the toilet on a new flange, wax ring, and water connection is also...~$440.
5. They would charge me, around $1,000 for a fairly trivial task.
6. And because someone came out, I had to pay $45 to have an answer I could have received from the dispatcher but instead, I've wasted my time and my money because they *DO* have pricing documented. I couldn't be more furious.

Simply put, this is modern day highway robbery.

-----------------

I've amended my review by adding a star as a call center manager refunded the mandatory visit cost of $45. This was still very much an inconvenience and I've learned a valuable lesson here. Get an estimate, at least a floor for what to expect so you're not surprised and out both of your time and money. Also, find someone that's trustworthy but doesn't have the overhead that larger companies do.

------------------

In response to the comment by the owner below, I must stress something important that is not being heard here. Price clarity for customers is important, as is their time, which is especially true when charging for a visit that's non-refundable.

While it's difficult for CSRs to give pricing as they're not licensed/experienced technicians, if they have access to pricing they can at least give prospective customers a floor for pricing. For example, Sir, while I can't give you an accurate estimate until a technician arrives at your home, I can at least tell you that it won't be less than $495. Issues that are discovered at the time of evaluation will increase the cost of repairs. This message would have been infinitely better received and would have avoided this entire negative experience. I knew what the problem was and was able to explain it in great detail. All it took was the same conversation with the tech that I had with the CSR, and he pulled up the app to give me the pricing she could have, without having me waste time out of a day I should have been at work.

All businesses have the opportunity to optimize their messaging and customer experience. If you choose to make no effort here, then my feedback is lost - and I'm fine to leave it at that.

Had a failed non-frost sillcock (outdoor faucet) that leaked like a siv. When their plumber came out, he said it's not possible to replace the inner stem of the assembly, and that we would have to replace the entire sillcock, from within the basement, pull out the washer dryer, cut out the drywall, and resolder the new sillcock assembly, all for over $500.

Doing a little research on the sillcock assembly, all i had to do was to buy a $14 sillcock stem replacement kit, and change out the sillcock stem cartridge. Which i did today, with great success!

Outrageous. Dishonest, lying practice. I will never forgive this company.

After validating over the phone that they would, indeed serve us yesterday, we made an appointment for today (their sonnets spot, they claimed) so we did not contact other people for a plumbing emergency. However, they called us 1.5 hours before arriving to tell us they would be coming because we were out of their service area. Very irresponsible, as we could have contacted someone else to help us. Do not use this irresponsible company.

I called Brothers because my normal plumber was overbooked, and my kitchen faucet was leaking badly. They were surprisingly able to come the next day. The girl on the phone said it would be a $67 service call charge. I thought that was fair. I let them know i had already purchased a new faucet. When the guy got here, he walked in and without looking at anything started in on a membership package speech. Then, he showed me his computer with a price for work with or without the membership, or I can pay him $67 to leave my house.
I was home alone with my husband out of town and stuck. They took advantage of the situation. I feel like an idiot and should have just YouTube it because it took him 20 min. $500 for 20 mins. I will never call them again!

The service they provided was fine, but the repair cost was outrageous. I called on a Sunday to schedule a time for a technician to look at swamp cooler that wasn't blowing cold air.

The technician arrived on Wednesday and let me know a float valve needed to be replaced. The total cost came out to be $476. This was for a part that I found for $20 online (they said it was $80) and approximately 1 hour of a technician's time (he did have to come back later for about 30 minutes because the swamp cooler started leaking after he left).

The invoice provides very little information on how the cost is calculated so I contacted their accounting department. It took me 3 calls and an email over 6 days to be able to actually reach an accountant who just told me that work isn't billed by the hour.

I will never use them again. I can't imagine what more involved repairs would cost, this was a very simple and straightforward issue in my opinion.

My toilet backed up, thanks to my accidentally flushing a hand towel! Duh. Then the ensuing flood waters in the basement wiped out my furnace...nice.  When I called they apologized for not having 1 person who could do both, but would try to get the 2 techs out at the same time.

Of course it was late in the day so I wasnt hopeful. Surprise surprise the office kept in touch with me and after a couple hours the furnace guy showed up. No sooner had I taken him to the basement, the sewer guy knocked! They were both clean, and got right to work. The furnace guy was a bit more outgoing. No doubt playing with fire is more fun than swimming in lumps of goo. He answered all my questions and did a thorough cleaning. He wrote my filter size in a place I could always see it and when I go to the store I never forget which size is mine!!

They were quick, and professional and they wore those little paper booties to keep my floor clean. Actually the furnace guy wore them and the sewer guy followed his lead.  I would use them again without hesitation.

P.S.  After seeing everything from my toilet on the laundry room floor, I learned the Kroger 1000 sheet septic safe toilet paper I use is EXCELLENT. That stuff almost completely disintegrates in water. It looked like lint, not paper at all. Confident no matter how much TP is used it will never clog up my pipes, I will never use any other TP!

Oh my goodness! I should have read these reviews before calling Brothers! I got the referral from Team Dave Logan (they must have paid him a pretty penny to get on his site! We scheduled them to come out to take care of a plumbing issue before company came for a visit. They scheduled us for Friday afternoon, and less than 2 hours before the appointment they called to cancel! They answer their phone, Brothers Plumbing, Heating, and Air conditioning. HOW CAN WE MAKE YOU SMILE? My answer to that is, by being a business of integrity and caring about your customers' needs. They did not seem to care about the inconvenience and made no attempt to go above and beyond!!! I will do what I canto get the word out on my experience.

NO STARS AT ALL!!!   Regarding Heidi's Hemat's expose on Channel 31.  That's EXACTLY what happened to us this very day.  Our furnace went out and we called BROTHERS.  It went from a $79 trip charge to a $200 replacement unit; to they don't make the replacement anymore; to they don't make the secondary replacement anymore; and pretty soon it was $1,600 and then he decided it was not repairable and tried to strong-arm us into buying a new unit at over $6,000.  He said an inspector would condemn our house if we didn't get it done asap, and said that he was only trying to help us because it was getting cold at nights.  He said he could not locate the new furnace in Colorado so of course there would be a shipping fee to boot.  My husband went on the internet and not only do they still make the part, it sells for $189.  We ordered it and my husband can replace it himself.  They are REAL CROOKS.

Similar to other reviews, I'm giving them only one star due to price alone. The technician was nice, thorough, and professional. However, replacing a single light switch should not cost $160 - that is absolutely insane given the cost of the light switch is less than $10 at Home Depot. Also, they charged a $80 fee just to come to the house. In total, the technician was at our home for roughly 30 minutes and the total cost was $240! You have lost yet another customer due to your outrageous prices.

Run a business in Rino and our heat went out. Wasn't able to schedule an appointment until the following day.  When the technician showed up, he complained about parking and said couldn't do that job because wouldn't park a block away. O Would've called someone else instead of sitting in the cold for two days and I suggest you do the same.

My daughter who lives in my condo in Denver called for leaky toilet, leaky faucet and tub drainage. They came out, took $67 for showing up and giving us an exorbitant estimate for repairs (and replacements that were not needed). They did NOTHING but tell us what we already knew were issues, only to collect money for just showing up. I am really honestly being nice by calling them a FRAUD and THIEVES, and more importantly INCOMPETENT. Avoid them at all cost.

They use a book for pricing. So work that I've had done for $200 max was priced at $429.  So I paid the $45 visit fee and told them to leave.  Horrible experience.

These guys showed up when they said they would and did a great job, however took me to the cleaners in the end. They stubbed out for a double vanity, fixed a vent fan, and got a small part for a shower that was having issues....and charged me a whopping $2,170! For the two guys that were here for 8 hours, that equals $135 an hour...each! I was going to have them to come back to install a toilet, put in 2 faucets, and a shower nozzle, but when he told me that would be another $1,300, I decided to go elsewhere for the rest of my plumbing needs. Great work, but only use them if you have extremely deep pockets.

I have never written a review for any company in the past but have decided to in this instance to encourage honest business practices for employers which will result in increased profits in the long run.

We had an igniter replaced and after 5 minutes of troubleshooting, we were asked to sign for the total price of $410.  Having had igniters replaced in the past, I knew this was a very short job (about 15 minutes) and the part price was about $80 or so.  I asked for a price breakdown and there was an $79 fee for showing up, $121 for the part and the rest was labor.  After complaining and identifying that I work as a consulting engineer and have a good understanding of what effectively is built in as overhead, etc., they did reduce the $79 fee and we had to pay a total of $331.  The job took about 15 minutes as expected.

I am a licensed professional engineer and work as a consultant for a large consulting firm that designs power plants.  The going rate for consulting engineers is about $180/hr and those rates more than cover overhead, sales and marketing, etc.

Do not use Brothers. They will charge you $60 to send a someone to your home to diagnose the issue, which is really just turning the sink on to tell you it will be $400 to snake a drain. Then when you call to complain they will hang up on you and yell at you. Terrible service and even worse customer service. I would literally use any other company than Brothers.

BEWARE! My elderly mother had her AC go out and called Brothers. Tech came out, fixed her unit and then sold her a monthly plan, charged her $270 and then left. The unit still did not work, another call went out and the 2nd tech arrived who forgot his tools, asked her for a screwdriver [which my mother had to find and let him use] only to let her know that the unit was shot and needed a new one. He then tried to charge her for services and left only to leave his tools behind! Another call made to the manager only to be told that he knew nothing of tech's problems with equipment-essentially all was fine and the AC was fixed the first time [which it wasnt]. The rudeness, complete lack of efficiency, and price, especially to one who is elderly, should be noted! Since no resolve, BBB will be contacted, etc.  Do NOT use, would not recommend!

I wish I had read the other reviews first.  I'll add another review along the common theme that they are price gougers.  My AC compressor had a failed capacitor and they wanted $488 to replace it.  They refused to give me a breakdown on parts and labor, but it's a $20 part and takes 15 minutes to replace.  I paid their $79 service call fee and told them to get lost.  I had to schedule an appointment with them almost a week ahead of time.  I called another small local company to fix it.  They came out within 2 hours of receiving my call and charged a total of $100 for parts AND labor.

I'll start with my issue, which was BOTH of my showers needed new cartridges in the handles, $45 part at Home Depot. Wanted them to also come out to see if they could move my water heater a few inches and then look at the showers while they were there. Also had scheduled an appointment for them to look at my furnace a few days later. Technician showed up early and was very nice, however it became clear he wanted to start his weekend early and proceeded to tell me how to do the work he was there to do! Brothers wanted $450 per shower to fix the cartridges!!! Then the technician proceeds to break off the handle of the faucet (rendering it useless and unable to be repaired) but tells me how to fix it. He had shut off the water and at that point I was too scared to turn it back on due to me being in an upstairs condo unit. We then rescheduled a technician for a Sunday afternoon only for them to call 15 minutes into our appointment window to cancel!! All the while we hadn't had water for 2 days at that point!! A different technician come out Monday morning only to tell us that both valves have to be replaced completely for a total of $2,000. Told them nicely to leave, called Linzotti plumbing, they came out the same day and for us up and running for under $1,000. This after not having water for 3 days! Next day a separate heating technician comes out for our furnace, is there for 10 minutes only to tell us it's too old and they need to condemn it which meant taking the blower motor out so it wouldn't function because it's a liability issue. They wanted $5,300 to replace the furnace and even went as far as to offer me financing, haha!!! Promptly told them to fix what they took apart and get out. DO NOT USE BROTHERS!!!! Unless you want to be talked to like you're a moron, overcharged, and possibly left without heat or water for days!!!

I made this appointment over the phone and was given an appointment window of 1-3 for the following day. The service member was late and I wasn't given any sort of notice via email or phone. I run a fitness studio with scheduled class times, so the service member didn't have time to really look at the issue. I was charged nearly 50$ price for a late, rushed appointment with the result of telling me I would need to call someone else...

Price gouging. I ended up spending $400 on a rooting and sewer scope only to be quoted $13,000 to fix my sewer line which in turn was fixed by another company for closer to $8000 with flawless work. I WILL say the 2 plumbers that came to my residence (i don't remember their names) were courteous, kind, and understanding of my problems . The second company verified everything Brother's said and agreed that the work must be done, Brothers just wanted a bigger piece of the pie.

I will give them 2 stars because the customer service deserves a 4 or 5, the cost of the work deserves a 1. I would have loved to go with Brothers if other companies had quoted closer the $13k, not $5k less.

GOUGED!

If you have a plumbing, heating or electrical problem and a pile of money in the bank that you want to get rid of, call Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Electric.  They will be happy to relieve you of the burden of a positive balance in your bank account!

When a company charges 33 percent more than their competitors for the same job and tells you that you can't compare apples to oranges, you know two things:  1) They can afford to give you a five percent discount, and 2) They are neither apples nor oranges - they are lemons!

We were expecting to spend about $1500-1700 on having a new water heater installed.  Imagine our surprise when they told us the bill was $2700!  We got a song and dance about needing a low boy to replace the standard size water heater we've had for 21 years with no problems.  Of course, the low boy is a more expensive model and, according to this company is required now to meet code in Broomfield.  They moved the water heater about six feet away from the original location, but we don't know why.  Two of them spent more than five hours on a job that should have been completed in no more than three.  Plan to spend more than you thought in both time and money.

We are now searching for a reasonably priced professional plumbing company.

Took a week to get a tech out for my tankless water heater. No call, no email, no nothing. Glad I got to waste an entire day off of mine waiting for them to not even call or show up. They finally called 15 minutes after my window stating the tech called in. Like they did not know that long before that? And when I told her to cancel and I would post this, the girl laughed about it. Would not recommend to anyone. They rate a zero star. Read the reviews first as I did not as they originally installed for me. Things have gotten horrible in the 10 years since then. They will not earn any business from me.

Being in Property Management, I've dealt with plenty of lazy and unprofessional plumbers. This company was on top of it and helped with our potential plumbing disaster. They not only fixed the issue, but they were knowledgable and pleasant to work with.  Considering the extent of work and the fact it was weekend work, $$$ was expected.

Brothers tried to rip off my 82 year old father by telling him his $300 toilet needed a $600 part plus labor. Thankfully, my mother stopped him from going through with it but he still had to pay for the visit back when the plumber showed up with the part. The fix was so easy my sister in law did it and noticed that the part Brothers tried to sell my dad didn't fix the problem anyway. She did it for $3.85. Brothers must like to exploit the elderly. My family will never use them and neither should you.

If I could, I would rate them negative stars. The level of unprofessionalism is mind boggling plus they are a total rip off. We received a quote from them and after doing a little research on our part we discovered they were charging us $250 per hour for labor for a simple shower valve replacement. When we questioned why the labor rate was so high the Vice President of the company, Justin, got involved and completely berated us and was sure to let us know we are in the wrong and don't have any right to question him. After several email exchanges the Vice President became condescending, rude, accusatory and got very personal in his insults. I completely understand how they only a 2 star rating on yelp and have several complaints with the Better Business Bureau.

Quick to take advantage of someone without heat in the winter!! My gas company came out to change the meter, after replacing gas lines didn't pass pressure test (turns out tech caused leak at first union passed meter). Of course gas company made it my problem.  I called brothers plumbing and they made it out fairly quick. However,  the tech Zolie wanted to charge me $900 (stated that included $200-300 for the permit) just to put air in the line and locate the leak,  not including fixing it. Mind you it's a small house with maybe 80 linear feet of pipe hooked to 3 appliances so a dozen joints or so. He also told me my iron piping wouldn't handle the pressure test at 20 psi and it would cause more leaks. (If your not sure how much pressure that is, my tech who did the repair got to 20 psi with a bike pump in about a minute.)  So he suggested I pay $2600 to have all the lines replaced. And because it was Thursday I wouldn't get my gas back on till Monday or Tuesday due to the weekend. Paid him the service fee for coming out and sent him on his way.  So I pulled the permit myself (for $35 not $200-300) and Got a tech from Goodrich Fireplaces out who located the leak and fixed it with 90 minutes for a couple hundred bucks. Got the inspection done and gas back on the next day. Not sure if it's the whole company or just the tech,  Zolie, but I call major BS on Brother's plumbing.  Will never call again

This company is horribly overpriced and inefficient.  We had them start up our evaporative cooler which needed new pads.  They quoted us $788 to install new pads which we refused.  We bought the pads for $115 at Home Depot and when we noticed a leak coming from our roof we had them come back out to look at it and asked if they would install the new pads that we had purchased.  They came out and identified the leak was coming from the supply line, but quoted us $334 to install the pads.  This was clearly a rip off, they were already out there and already on top of the roof working on the cooler.  I asked the technician why the labor was so expensive, as if it would take him six hours to complete the work.  He responded, with what do you think we make $5 an hour?  Apparently math is not his specialty.

We refused both the quote for the pad installation ($334) and the repair of the supply line ($139) and the technician said you will find comparable prices elsewhere.  Well, he was wrong.  Rabbit Heating and Air came and did everything for $225.  If we had used them in the first place that would have been the grand total and would have saved us the $135 that Bothers charged us for their startup service which did absolutely nothing for us and left us without cooling for another week and a half.

WORST Experience EVER!!!!! Avoid them at all costs. We had Brothers come out due to the compressor freezing up. Needed a recharge which was fine. Recharge done and tech left. Less than an hour later the thermostat for our system just stopped working. This was NEVER an issue we had prior to the tech coming out. I called but the thermostat came back on, and then went off permanently. We replaced the thermostat and found the same problem with the new thermostat, goes on and then shut right off.

I called them again and talked to Rob. I explained the situation, I don't believe in coincidences and the moment their tech came out our thermostat dies. That is not coincidence, that is cause and effect. Instead of making a customer that just spent $500 with them a priority they decided to schedule an appointment at their convenience. It is supposed to be 92 degrees tomorrow with no AC. I said never mind I will contact Apple Aire, which is a much better company and unbelievably professional. They could not get out until Monday so I decided to go back to this company and get the appointment for the next day. The response, well you said no and now we do not have that appointment, so sorry, now the best we can do is Tuesday. You should not have been so rude and said no. I explained to Rob that they screwed up my thermostat, his condescending response was to laugh and say Oh now we screwed up your thermostat?

What kind of a company thinks their shoddy service is laughable. I was constantly interrupted by Rob who apparently thinks customers are his children. Several times he warned me because he felt I was raising my voice. At this time after hearing Rob's snide little laugh for a few more minutes I did start to raise my voice when I realized I made the mistake of calling this company.

I can not reiterate this enough. Read Yelp, this company has some poor ratings and now I know why. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. Luckily, I found a company that made their customer a priority.

It's a shame their is not a way to give a half star. Try someone else, two companies I talk to waive the service fee when they do work on your system.

The business office was extremely nice and helpful.  When the technician arrived, he was extremely professional, but did reek of smoke.  I was quoted $280 for a partial toilet rebuild when all I needed was a $5 part at the local hardware store.  I was not impressed by the exorbitant pricing.

Jack from Brother's Plumbing is amazing and honest.  He was upfront with our issues, didn't try to sell us something we didn't need and gave us some really good advice on how to make sure we are taking care of our plumbing needs in the future.  Will ask for him the next time we have a plumbing need.

Incompetent grossly overpriced thieves.  So these two con artists show up to fix my furnace.  One was training the other on how to fleece people.  The first one could not figure out what was wrong so he just started pointing at parts and telling me that I needed to spend over a thousand dollars.  Then they said that the whole furnace needed to be replaced.  After I kicked them out I call another company who fixed my furnace for less than $200.

We have had a lot of work done on our old house and have used Brothers for many of our needs.

When our AC went out two weeks ago, they replaced the system and were friendly and helpful.
When it wasn't quite working right, they scheduled us promptly and sent the best on their team. Ron was a pleasure to work with. He showed me exactly what was wrong and took his time explaining exactly what parts and pieces of an HVAC system do and what needs repaired. He was very thorough and fixed our system so now our old house is cool .
I truly appreciated when John, the service manager checked in on the work being done at our house to make sure things were right.

What a racket; My basement finish project was put on hold due to yet another sub not showing up. I searched the web for plumbers and called three. The receptionist gave me a window for the visit and I specifically explained the job need then asked if they could complete the work during the appointment...Yes definitely was the answer. They showed up late at the tail end of the window and the senior man began to chirp about code this and code that while attempting to paint the picture as bleak as he needed to drop a majorly over priced bomb on me. To rough in a toilet, shower and sink drain in a cement basement floor that the cement was already 80% jack hammered and removed they quoted $4,453.00 and said I was getting a deal, plus they would set up a later appointment to come back and do the work. After throwing up in my mouth I said no can't do that he then said well you owe me $45.00 for the appointment charge. I paid him and was done.... just think you could set up a web business, selectively quote crazy prices for jobs (maybe you don't really want to do) and still get paid. The next plumber quoted me $900.00 for the job and it is being done now.

Prices are totally out of line.  Obviously, they get their work through advertising and not word of mouth.  The way they left my fence is example. They got their money and ran.  My bad.  Would not recommend them for any work they do.  Could write much more but just take heed and don't use them.

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not call them, no matter what. They used scare tactics with my husband and I. They told us that our main line needed to be replaced and that they could do it for $9k. We decided to get a second and third opinion in which we were told our main line was fine by two different companies. When I called to tell them about what had happened no one called me back for two days. When speaking with a manager about it he said that when his technicians were working with us we were agreeable and asked questions and so he didn't see what the problem was. Needless to say, we did not get any money back and not even an apology. It is disappointing to call and trust a reputable company when in reality they don't care about you at all and just want your money.

The most positive statement I am able to make is that they arrived during the appointed tome frame.  $45 show up fee plus $389 to install a laboratory faucet I supplied.  This took several hours and was only completed after I told the workman if he couldn't do the job to put the old faucet back on.  Oh, did I  should also mention I had to drive to a plumbing supply house for parts for the installer?

Do not use this company.

This was the worst service call I have ever had out to my house.  I called for a simple sprinkler turn-on and repair and got the worst service I've ever had.  Not only did the technician not have the parts to repair a sprinkler head, but he told us that he couldn't complete the job and that we should finish the repair ourselves.  I called back and told them this was unacceptable and the technician came back out, AGAIN without the parts and was annoyed that we didn't buy them for him.  When I called to speak to the manager, Joe, I was treated with the most disrespect I have had on a service call.  Not only did he not care or apologize that the job wasn't finished, but he had the nerve to tell me that it would be another $300 to have someone come back out and finish the job.  He then told me to my face that we lied about what happened when the technician came out and refused to listen to our side of the story.

I finished the job myself and will be reporting Brothers to the Better Business Bureau and disputing the charge on my card.
