We moved from Denver and the movers had packed a reproduction Tiffany lamp with the light shade attached, causing the shade and parts attached to be severely bent.

We thought the lamp was irreparably damaged, but needed to get a quote for the moving company claims process. Not only could they fix it, they did a wonderful job, and charged much less than we expected!!

We would definitely recommend this company; fine craftsmen and honest companies can still be found!

Drove 30 minutes to take two lamps for repair after calling several times to hear a message that they were open. They were not and there was a rent notice of non payment on the door. UGH!!

Walk in and see all sorts of lamps and chandeliers of various shapes and age. Shops like this need to remain in the world but they're hard to find. Bonnie Bear fixed my lamp on the spot (it was a minor problem but one I couldn't solve).  It's located in a residential area so don't go looking in some generic strip mall.

We had used Bonnie Brae for decades.  But not yet under its new owners.
A year ago an electrician whom they recommended took our kitchen's  chandelier to them. His and their diagnosis -- and their charge -- included replacing sockets. Another outage just occurred.  We called the same electrician to take down the chandelier.  He said the sockets were again at fault, and that they were old.
This is not the Bonnie Brae it used to be.

If you use this company, take care. In November, 2021, we left a valuable lamp at this shop for repairs. After nine months, multiple phone calls and three fruitless visits to the shop during which we were assured that the repairs were in process, we called Edgewater police to ask for help getting our lamp back. That got the owners attention. We picked up the lamp the next day, intact but not repaired, and got our deposit back.

Terrible service!!  DO NOT BRING YOUR LAMPS HERE!!! Took a lamp in for repair on Sept. 10.  Called several times over 3 month period and was told the weather needed to be warmer to repair the lamp.  The weather was only getting colder and are they repairing lamps outside???  When I went to pick up the lamp after being spoken to so rudely and still unable to get a completion date, found parts were missing off the lamp.  The rubber base was gone and the socket base was missing.  I brought the lamp in for a crack on the top.  This was a very expensive Currey and Company lamp.  I can only speculate that they are taking parts off my lamp to repair another lamp.  The woman at the store lied and said this is how the lamp came in - not true the lamp had all pieces and was in for a crack on the top.  These are truly horrible people, rude, steal parts, lie.  If for some reason you still take your lamps here - PHOTOGRAPH everything before you leave it with them.   This is not the same Lighting store it was under past ownership.

Excellent service by true professionals. I have an 80 year old floor lamp that I was afraid to keep using due to the exposed wires in the cord. They completely rewired it and had the job done in well under a week. It wasn't cheap, but compared to what I would HAVE spent for a new lamp with comparable functions, it was a STEAL.

Bonnie Brae Repair Shop is around the corner from Bonnie Brae Ice Cream and has been in business for 20 years. Today I picked up my second repair job and again they gave excellent service. The first time I visited Bonnie Brae Repair was to take pieces of lamps from my Grandmother's house and put them together to make a bedside lamp; it was so cute.

I then took my favorite lamp in to be fixed a few weeks ago; it was a house warming gift from my Mom. The lamp had blown all the sockets and needed a total repair job. I left my lamp in good hands and yesterday they called to say it was fixed. It is in perfect working order and cost me $90.00 to be repaired. I am letting you know this because this shop is for your favorite lamps or valuable antiques; as you can tell by the price it is not for your everyday Target lamp. But if you have something special, this is the place.

I took three antique lamps in for repair--including one I was considering trashing because it was bent beyond saving (or so I thought). All the lamps were beautifully restored and I found out the one I about gave up on was actually made out of an antique brass Coleman lantern! Quite valuable as it turned out. They straightened it, replaced a few parts and helped me pick out a new etched glass globe, which was much prettier than the original (which broke when it was knocked over). Remarkable service, reasonable prices, and skilled work! Although a bit of a drive compared to their last location, this shop is well worth the effort to find!

Disappointed. After years of good service from BB Lighting, we dropped off a valuable designer Torchiere in Dec 2020 & paid deposit for repair. No calls, no ability to leave VMs until finally communication occurred May 2021. Picked up lamp. Parts missing & ceramic connectors bent & misaligned.  Paid for repairs but lamp is now useless. Never going back.

Please, please do not take your lamps to this place. Last year I took my
expensive table lamp to be repaired. They lost it. I had a receipt so they found it. This same lamp was taken back two weeks ago by my husband for the same problem. The wife Kim just called and said they do not have my lamp. They lost it again. She was very nasty to me with her screaming and then asked me to send her a picture. I sent her 3 pictures. I called to see if she had seen the pictures and her husband answered. Neither have no experience with customer service. He was nasty as well. The owners are husband and wife and maybe need to retire.

What a great place for help with lamp problems. I first went in there a year ago. They adjusted the lamp and it was good to go---at no charge!  Even though I offered to pay, they would not take anything. Very nice. This week I took in a lamp that really did need a repair. I mentioned to Bonnie that I would be out of town for over a week just so she would not be concerned that I did not pick up the lamp. I got a call 3 days before I left. The lamp had been repaired!!!  How very nice!  It is a good feeling to know this errand  will not be waiting for me when I return!  It's the little things in life...

Owner was my best friend when I was purchasing almost $800 in crystals. A year later when asked for an exchange for a few left overs you would have thought I wanted her first born. So rude it was stun founding! I would rather pay more for better service! NEVER AGAIN!

The little black light switch on my lamp broke off and I took it here to get fixed. I walked in, told the woman behind the counter the issue and she brought out a box of little black switches. After spending 3 minutes sifting through the box to find a suitable switch, she put it on and fixed it....free of charge. She was courteous and fair. Can't beat that. I highly recommend this place.

We took a desk lamp in for repair, and Kim (one of the owners) took care of what turned out to be a very simple fix in less than 10 minutes -- for no charge!  I felt embarrassed not paying, but she insisted.  That kind of kindness, graciousness, and generosity is almost unheard of today.  We will return whenever we have any future repair needs -- and we will insist on paying!  And although we weren't in the market for an antique lamp at the time, we discovered a vast array of old lamps and chandeliers (lots of history in those lighting fixtures!) that Bonnie Brae Lighting & Repair also sells -- an antique dealer's treasure chest.  An added bonus:  Bonnie Brae Ice Cream is right next door!

My lamp's candelabra socket was slightly damaged and I thought it would need to be replaced.  Stopped by the shop where Kim took a quick look at it, made a minor adjustment to the socket, and pronounced the lamp good to go at no cost to me.  She also passed along a tip to let the burned out bulbs cool down before trying to replace them to prevent sticking and additional damage to the socket.  It was a thoroughly pleasant experience.  The shop also had some lovely and unique light fixtures for sale if you're in the market.

We purchased a refurbished lamp from an antique store that had a piece that had come loose.  We knew it would be an easy fix... But we couldn't find the parts online (or we didn't know where to look).  We brought the loose piece and some pics in to Bonnie Brae to see if they had the part. They did! And they gave it to us for free! Super nice and helpful.

I've been using Bonnie Rae Repair Shop for many years.  The no-nonsense, very efficient staff fix everything from rewiring a chandelier to repairing switches and finding globes for new and old lamps.  The shop is very interesting with an old-timey feel and lots to see. I routinely recommend this place and feedback has always been positive.

I brought my pole lamp in from west Arvada based on the Yelp Reviews, and I was glad I made the trip.  Parking is a little difficult as it is next to the Bonnie Brae Ice Cream Shop, but once I entered I was greeted immediately, my lamp examined, and 5 minutes later sent on my way after a few adjustments were made.  No charge!  I highly recommend them.

I have been using this store forever. I came in today to buy 10 feet of lamp cord to rewire a chandelier myself and I was shocked when the material prices have doubled.  I'm very sad to report that the lovely older couple who had previously owned this business retired one month ago and have sold the business.  The new owner is being very greedy and I will be looking to do business elsewhere in the future.

I took in an antique floor lamp, which I thought needed to be rewired because the light bulb was flickering. The woman at the repair shop immediately knew the problem: it was a loose screw. She fixed it on the spot for no charge. I know that I will take all my future lamp repairs to this great little shop. I highly recommend it.

I needed a ceramic threaded socket to fix as light fixture.  The lady on the phone was very nice and very helpful.  She said that they had the part.  The next morning I went to the store and the guy working there was not quite as helpful.  I told him the lady said the part was available so he went in the back to look for it.  He found it and probably overcharged me for it.  It is a small local business and I needed the part, so ok I paid for it,  The guy tried to shortchange me by $5 when he gave me change.  I pointed this out and he had my other $5 in his other hand and gave it to me.  I like small local businessess but this guy was slimy.  If you go there, make sure you count your change and watch your wallet.
