Advantage Sewer & Drain

Very honest and incredibly kind. We got terrible service from Rooter Town and got a second opinion from Advantage and they treated us with nothing but respect. We will be using them for anything from here on out.

I called Advantage to fix a leaking drain. They said they would come out and do the work for $99 an hour, I think. Plus materials.

They sent me an invoice for 1 at $250, which seemed like a flat rate, which is how plumbers prefer to get paid because it is effectively a higher bill rate.

I called to clarify the bill and Sean called me back after about a week. He seemed peeved from the start that he had to talk to me. I asked about the time and materials vs the flat fee and he said, Oh well it took 2 hours and the pipe was $50. Which may be true but seemed very convenient. I told him the tenant said they were only there for 20 minutes. He raised his voice and said they must have gone to the store to get piping, which was true. He then raised his voice more and said You told me you would pay and you better. I said, Let's dial it down, Sean, you sent me a bill with incorrect details and I am sorting it out. He said, You better pay and that's it. Give me your credit card right now. I was driving in the snow and hung up on him. I paid the bill when I got home.

Sean, if you would be more careful with your paperwork, then none of this would have happened. Yell that at yourself or your staff instead of losing your cool with customers.

I own 3 homes in the area and I need a new water heater. I called another plumber. You should too.

For the last 18 years, I've known to use Advantage (used to be A&J). A friend recommended them in 2005 after a chain plumbing company said a leaky pipe indicated roots had grown in the drainage pipe, and it would be $6,000 to dig up my sidewalk to replace it. Called A&J (now Advantage) and Shawn ran a camera through the pipe showing there were no breaks in the whole length. He fixed it with a new seal for a hundred or so. I've been lucky with plumbing, but have added new toilets and spigots, and they always seem to get the job done under budget. Today, a new larger toilet was supplied by them and installed so quickly, it save over an hour of labor, so it cost $550 instead of $850 (it was $450 7 years ago, so $550 is low in today's market). I'm not afraid to call this plumber - they have earned my total trust.

This is the first time leaving a review!  I had to sign up to do this but felt I needed to get the word out about Rooter Town.  This company is awesome!  They set an appointment the next day!  There were no hidden charges, Billy was up front about all costs and made it clear what the problem was.  He did an excellent job, and got the job done quickly.  He was very knowledgeable and super friendly and he was also at my house on time.  I will ALWAYS use Rooter Town and if you are looking for a great plumber, I highly recommend this company.  I'm so happy I found them!

At midnight, on a Saturday night, our toilet backed up into our tub drain!!!!
We were really concerned because getting a plumber on a Sunday usually means you're looking at trouble. I called Sean at Advantage on Sunday afternoon, around 12:00pm and they were here before 3. They were polite, professional, knowledgeable, and they were very very reasonable. They were done very quickly and on their way, leaving a very happy customer in their wake. If you need sewer or drain service, as well as a host of other services Advantage offers, I don't think you could do better! Thanks so much guys!

Good experience! My kitchen sink was backed up and needed to be snaked.  And since I needed that done I figured I'd have a new faucet & disposal installed. I called a few plumbers based on Yelp reviews, Advantage was actually referred to me by another plumber that I had called that doesn't also do install of new faucet/disposal. I called, Sean answered and got me on the schedule for the same day. Josh was the tech that came out, he was very friendly & efficient. He was done in about 2 hours and left a clean work space.  I think their labor rate is very fair and Josh also gave me some tips that I didn't know about my dishwasher which was not part of his tasks. Nice guy!  He seemed to really like his job and the company he works for.  I'll call Advantage again when I have jobs come up & I'll refer them as well.

I recently had Advantage Sewer and Drain install a sewer clean-out in my front yard. Sean was very professional from start to finish. He scheduled the job and completed the whole thing in less than a week, including all permits and inspections. The price was unbeatable and the service was top-notch. I suspected a leaking septic pipe coming out of the house to the septic system. I dug down to the pipe where I thought the leak was and found a crack in the pipe. Called Advantage for an estimate. He said they charge $120/hr. and would charge an additional travel fee of $35 because I am outside of town (Peyton). Told him I would send him pictures of what I had found and asked him for an estimate and time when they could do the work. He sent back a text with $500 w/material Friday. On Thursday I asked what time they would arrive on Friday and was told 9:00 am. Repair person arrived at 10:30 and completed the repair at 11:25. The hole I dug was not filled back in so I figured not a big deal it will save me some money for the repair if I do it myself. I was handed a bill for $500. When I questioned that it only took an hour, the gentlemen who I had originally spoken to said the $500 was his quote for the work, not an estimate. I have to say the repair person did a good job and then even filled in the hole since he overheard the conversation and felt it was the least he could do to correct the situation. Please be sure you get clarification on estimate vs. quote. Not a company I plan to work with again.

We had a sewage drain emergency, called countless businesses plus Angie's List. Most did not answer their phone, three who I was able to speak with were either vague or unavailable.

Sean at Advantage, worked us into his schedule same day, arrived exactly at the time promised, and went to work. Issue solved, plus was able to get him to schedule another repair within a few days that we had been unable to get repaired for 6 months.

Polite, obviously highly competent, respectful of your home and professional in every sense. we won't be calling anyone else except for Advantage in the future.

I was a bit nervous hiring a plumber!  Heard a bunch of horror stories!! But I have to say I had a great expierence today!  They were prompt, respectful, helpful and priced great!  I would recommended these guys to anyone!!

Here's a great plumbing company that will take super good care of you at very fair prices. Their tech's are amazing, prompt, professional, and thorough. An honest company you can trust. Everyone is very nice and polite. Thank you for taking care of my homes.

When our main line backed up today, they were here in a couple of hours. Did a great clearing the line. Prices were more than competitive and fair. Couldn't ask for more.

I had a pipe burst on Sunday morning and saw the couple of reviews on this place, so I thought that I would call this place.  They answered and had a technician to my house within two hours.  I was impressed.  They quickly fixed the pipe and I really felt that their pricing was reasonable for a Sunday morning call.  I would recommend them.

Great job by Advantage on my sewer line repair.  I had a plumbing issue and received a pricey quote from one of the chain rooter companies, whom I didn't trust from the start due to their sales tactics.  I called Advantage, where the owner answered the phone and was generous with his time talking through my potential issues. Josh came out and confirmed that I needed the work, but quoted and completed the job for 40% less than the other quote.   These guys were nothing but straight shooters throughout the process.   The professionalism, good communication, and cleanup of the work site was beyond my expectations.  I've not not been lucky enough to receive such good service in any other type of home maintenance, so I had to get on here and say so.

We were given advantages number from a property manager to come and fix a running toilet.  We called to have someone come install a parts we bought from Lowe's. The technician came and did a rush job in about 20 minutes and did not test to make sure it was good to go. After the tech left our toilet was still having issues so we called the tech back no later than 10 minutes after he left. He said he couldn't come back as he had to pick up his soon, ok. He said he would call us back the next day to come back and fix it---never happened! We placed a stop payment on the check until he returned to fix the problem. Never came back nor had the courtesy to call us back and schedule another time. We called the main shop and they were no help whatsoever. This is been weeks with no call back from the shop. The toilet still runs and was leaking at the handle causing leakage on the floor which in turn caused two water bubbles in my kitchen wall. Now I have damage inside my wall and more than likely the 4x4 or 4x2s behind the wall! SAVE YOUR TIME and MONEY! Call a plumbing company who will take ownership of their work and take care of the issue they first sought out to fix

We were given Advantage's number from our home warranty company to fix our water heater.  Our home warranty company called them and left a message, after about 5 hours we called our home warranty company to ask if they had heard anything. They said they hadn't heard from them and said we could call them; which we did twice! Their voicemail says if this is an emergency please leave a message and we will call you back... well they never called.  The following day we called our warranty company again and they called another company (B&L) who responded to us very fast and installed same day. Leaving a message won't help you at all!! I'd recommend calling a company with better customer service!

So Aadvantage is great.  I had to open the door for Alec and leave him here since I had to get back to work, but I felt completely at ease.  He was careful of the carpets, showed up on time, finished cleaning and scoping out my sewer line promptly, plus a couple of minor repairs.  I couldn't even tell he had pulled my toilet to get to the sewer, he had his own drop cloth.  He even ran water before he left the house to vent the lines of trapped air.

The other big bonus:  I had a home inspector (see my review of Brick and Mortar Home inspection) call out that my pressure regulator - they reported the incoming line was blown, measuring 100psi and needed to be replaced.  Alec checked the system and discovered they had measured upstream from the pressure regulator.  He said it's fine, no replacement needed, measuring at 50psi, so they are honest!  Saved me $250-$300.

Hire these guys, they schedule promptly and and answer the phone on weekends!  You won't get cheated if you use Aadvantage Sewer and Drain.
