ABC Plumbing and Heating

Looking for bad customer service with a terrible attitude? You've  found it here! Don't ask them to cut a pipe at 5 pm even though they close at 5:30, nope too late for that. Don't want to pay my guys overtime to help out a customer that drive 30 miles in rush hour traffic. Come back tomorrow.

I submitted a plan for a sprinkler system five weeks ago.  I called to check on the status of the plans three weeks ago - not completed.  

Called today and was told ABC has not had contact with the planner for a month we will need to find a new planner.   When? Next Spring

ABC doesn't have my plan any more and I'll have to re diagram the 1.5 acres.  

Crap service!

No one answers the phone, left messages and texts, and never got a response. Not sure what is going on with this business.

Great experience this weekend. Called and spoke with I think Lynard. Asked him for a specific part and told him what I was doing. He said he would have it at the counter.  As promised I walked in and it was there. He was busy so I started to piece my project together. When he got  a few minutes he helped brainstorm the project and saved me about 2 hours and cut my costs.

Was nice to have a knowledgeable person to help. The big box stores may have price sometime, but sometimes you keep these guys around.

I have some mixed things to say about this business... I needed some valves for my shower, and as a woman,  I was understandably sketched out by hopping plumbing stores by myself. The man at ABC plumbing made me feel incredibly comfortable and was able to identify the exact valve i needed. he was knowledgeable, polite, and respectful towards me. He informed me that the valves that I needed would need to be ordered, and which I agreed to because I really needed these valves and was told elsewhere that I could not find them at Ace hardware Home Depot etc. Now here's where the problems began to arise. I was told that the valves would be there in about a week. this was no issue for me, and he told me to give him a call next week to see if they came in. When I gave him a call, there was no answer. I called again, no answer. I called again no answer. At this point I was a little frustrated because I do live about 30 minutes from this plumbing supply store, but I really had no choice but to go in since he did not answer his phone. I go in, and they are not there. This process repeated over almost 2 months. He almost never answers his phone. And almost every time I wanted to check on these valves, i needed to drive to the location. It was very strange because he told me that he still had my number and my name, but would always instruct me to call him at a certain time on a certain day to see if the valves were there. To be clear, I do not blame this man at all for how long the valves have taken. That is not in his control, and I am fully aware of that with Covid shipping times are astronomically high. I was frustrated with the inability to contact him over the phone. It seems as though this man is running his business by himself, which is great, and I support that, but it does not seem that he can keep up. As I mentioned before the customer service was great. He was polite, knowledgeable, and respectful. I do not blame him at all for how long the valves have taken, as I know that is not his fault. My issue is with the headache that trying to get into contact with this man has caused me.

I want to be clear that I am not saying that you should not go to ABC plumbing for your plumbing supplies, the only thing that I would advise from my experience is that if you need to order a part, be prepared for patchy communication. The man at ABC plumbing was still able to identify a valve that other plumbing stores could not. I think that's pretty valuable As a person who was looking for something pretty specific.

I was actually referred here by Lowes. Why they have what nobody else does is beyond me, but they do. Very knowledgeable and helpful, a must for those in need of something or other.

Seems like a 1 man operation, hence some of the complaints from others about speed. That said, he got the job done faster than waiting for mail-order.

This place is a rip off. Went in for Furnace Igniter, a simple part. Part number 768A-844.
And this $20 dollar part was $80+ here... I said holy shit, they sure Mark up the prices here. Rep said we have to make money rite?!

Not from me, and I left. I'm not going to be taken for an idiot.

Hate when places take advantage of customer's, just cause they have no clue what the real prices are.

We called to see if they had what we need and could they help us. They said they could. We went in 30 minutes before close and were told, we don't cut pipe this late.
Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!
In a buyer's economy there is no excuse for bad customer service.

This place is terrible.  I called to get an estimate done on a timely issue.  They promised to have it done tomorrow, I sent information over around noon day before.  Called back the next afternoon and they said all the electricians who handle this are out of the office and gone for the day.  Lost my job and will never call them again

We were having a problem with the plumbing that tied our sprinkler system into our plumbing, and finally broke down and called these guys. They quoted us $85 an hour for labor. When the plumber got to our home (very prompt on a Friday afternoon) he was able to fix the problem in under 5 minutes, with no parts. :-) He didn't charge us at all! We gave him $20 to cover his gas and the trip. What a great company! Would certainly recommend, and use again...

I guess I've never been there right about closing time because I have always had a great experience when dealing with ABC Plumbing and Heating. I've use them for years and have always received helpful advice from knowledgable staff. They have helped me fix multiple plumbing issues, esp since I try and do things my self and pretty much have no idea what I am getting myself into half the time. Their advice has always been on fleek and I don't find their prices outrageous either.

I had an issue with the customer service and posted a review about it.  The operations manager and the owner made a point of finding me.  They were extremely apologetic, were very upset with what had happened and wanted to assure me that customer service is a priority with them.  They went out of their way to make it right and I'm very impressed with how seriously they took the issue.  It really sounds like this was a one time occurrence and not a standard of this business.  All of the employees, the manager and owner were extremely helpful and I'd happily bring my business back to them.

Every time I have used ABC, the owner is super helpful and patient with all my questions.

I see that some people left negative reviews on customer service and/or pricing. Here was my experience:

I needed an obscure pressure regulator (expensive) so the clerk shopped online for me on a few sites, including amz, and found the cheapest place which was them +\-$5. Guess what? Don't care about $5 when I have no water. Ordered it, arrived next day instead of 3 days later. Called me the moment it arrived, awesome.
Brought in a monstrosity of valves and pipe connected to the old regulator - I received direct service to find all parts and was given a list of what they didn't have. Went and bought what was available (box store didn't have it either), and again was given help reconstructing and was saved with sweating other connections by the clerk.
Overall, I would support a local shop over box stores any day, better knowledge and support with projects.

I have been going to this place for years mainly because they are the only place that is more of a specialty outlet and not big box.  However, just like the big box suppliers, there can often be long waits for very average service and unlike the big box outlets the hours are inconvenient. I'm surprised they aren't open all weekend when most of us are doing work around the house and need parts/help.   But i'll probably keep going there until they go out of business for the reasons mentioned above..........

Very helpful, knowledgeable and well stocked with many items the big box stores do not carry.
