Not a lovely way to start a Sunday. Water heater leaking all over garage. Was quoted an all inclusive price when I called and within a few hours Max D. showed up. Slight miscommunication about the price but all good in the end. Max seems to enjoy his job and was even more chatty than I am. Quite happy with the installation etc. and loved my shower this morning. Definitely would recommend. In today's world it is a pleasure to do business with a company that is reliable and cares. No extra charge for SUNDAY. Wow.

Sales staff responsive and called back with product number when I requested. They got me the brand I wanted. Price a little higher but service was good and installation by John very good. He had to install an expansion tank which original unit did not have and he took care of that with no issues. Installation was done very thoroughly. Only issue was the permit. It had not been discussed before but found out it was up to me if I wanted it or not at an additional cost. Most do not bother to pay the extra $100plus to get it. However, would have been nice to know about it before hand since I didn't even know that replacement water heaters even had permits.

I was very happy with the service from this company. John Fantham was at our house within 2 hours of my call. It took him about an hour to pick up the new unit and 2 hours after that the job was completed. So happy to have hot water again. WHO definitely seems to understand the importance of timely service.

Justin did amazing job! He arrived on time. He tried to fix our water heater initially and even waited around to make sure that it was working properly. When it shut off again while he was here we decided we just needed to replace the whole water heater which Justin did. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing and the basic instructions for the new water heater. Excellent service!

I contacted Water Heaters Only on a Friday late evening after realizing that our old water heater had stopped working. They scheduled a technician for Saturday morning. Mack arrived during the early part of the three our window, which was great. He was very professional and did an excellent job installing our new water heater in a very tight space in less than three hours, while also leaving the place as tidy as he found it. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend Mack and Water Heaters Only, Inc for water heater replacement.

Summary: GREAT JOB. Gave me the senior discount off the initial phone quote. (Yes, I'm a senior.) Arrived in 1 1/2 hours after my call on a Sunday. (Other companies could only come the next day.)

Details: I got some quotes on the phone from different companies before
deciding on Water Heaters Only. The phone sales people sold me on them because they said they would sell me the most reliable, long lasting water heater, it was made in the USA (that's important to me), and they could come right away.

Kevin West arrived when they said he would. He looked at the old water heater and said the previous installer did not do a high quality installation. He gave me the senior discount from the phone quote!!
He did a very professional installation. He fixed the deficiencies of the previous installation. His work looks neat, clean and professional. He explained the benefits of the water heater he installed and how it operates. And, he was very pleasant.

I highly recommend Water Heaters Only--and Kevin West!!

P.S. Some other companies would not give me a quote over the phone. They said the serviceman would give me a quote when they arrived at the house. For me that is a non-starter. Water Heaters Only was happy to give me a competitive quote over the phone so I knew what to expect when Kevin arrived.

A hose on my water heater burst. I turned the water off and called my warranty company. Barely a minute after getting off the phone with them, Water Heaters Only called to say they would be round before end of day. Tony arrived an hour or so later and had the hose replaced in less than five minutes.

I called Water Heaters Only because we unable to light our water heater. Given their name, I thought they would specialized enough for at least a diagnosis. I was given a window from 2pm-5pm. Once 4:45pm rolled around, I decided to give them a call. They informed me then that the technician was in DAVIS (the porperty is in North Sacramento). Finally, well after 5pm, the technician arrived. I received a call since I was not home where they told me they were unable to work on the water heater because it was blocked by a condesation pump. I took their word for it and said I would have a specialist transport said pump to a different spot to allow access to the panel.
Upon inspection, said pump was easily moved and should have not at all interfere with anyone working on it.
I called to get clarification and they told me I would receive a call back around 2pm when another rep was on duty. 4pm rolled around and I still hadnt heard anything so I gave them a call back. There was still no one available to give me clarification.
I asked if I could have another technician come to asses the situation and they told me they couldnt fit me.

I still have a water heater that need service. If anyone know a reliable provider, let me know.

Brandon from Water Heater's Only arrived on time, in fact a bit early, to consult on installation of a water heater to replace my 40 year old unit. He installed a new WH that is up to code and working great. Brandon did the removal and installation himself and left the worksite very clean. The new WH is working great. Researching on Google and here led to this company, which operates in all metropolitan areas of California and has been in business a while. If you've been installing and fixing water heaters for half a century, chances are you know what you're doing.

Booking a job was smooth from initial phone call reporting the issue, to arrival of technician, to permit delivery.

Explanation of the work was thorough, and at any point if there were questions, I was encouraged to call the main number to get specifics. In with the new tank, out with the old... Which I sort of wish had decided to corrode earlier-- like maybe years earlier. So I could have had a more efficient water heater a lot sooner and not wa$ted $o much on un-necessary energy and water..... But I digress.

Everyone was professional and courteous, from W.H.O.'s call center to the managers to the on-site plumber-contractor, who was detail-conscious and tidy and did a fine job that successfully passed inspection.

Permit was arranged and provided in a timely manner. I recommend Water Heaters Only and would hire them again.

They replaced our water heater with a Bradford White. John was friendly and explained every thing upfront. He was quick and the installation looks clean and professional. They were a lot more reasonable in price than the others we had quote the job in comparison shopping. The other selling point to us is that's what these guys do water heaters period, not water heaters, HVAC windows and what ever else you've got to make money on you. These guys were great all around and I have no problem recommending them to others. I hope the unit is trouble free and lasts a long time!

My 15 year old Water Heater decided to check out Friday night at 7:30 PM. Oh SH##!!! I googled Water Heater Repair and Water Heaters Only came up. Seeing they were open 24/7, I gave them a quick call. They were out to my house the very next day and had a Water Heater installed quickly and professionally.

John did an amazing job at removing my 15 year old Water Heater, correcting old and improper plumbing and installing the NEW Water Heater. By Saturday evening at 6:00 PM (less then 24 hours later) I had HOT water again!!!

You can't do any better then Water Heaters Only! They were up-front and honest about every aspect of the job before they even started. The entire job was executed as promised without any surprises. John was an Amazing Technician that really knows what he's doing!!!

I need my hot water heater serviced so I called Water Heaters only. When I called i talk with the owner he stated that they could fix the water heater for $350.00 and hey could have service person out in about a hour. When the service person showed up at the house he noticed that the cover was off the water heater and company policy was the if the water heater was tamper with they could not do the repairs. I understood and said ok. The biggest problem for me was that they still charge me 89 bucks to tell me that they could not do the repairs. The owner never stated to me that there would be a charge if they could not do the repairs. So i am out 89 bucks and no repair and no hot water!!

Our home warranty service contracted with Water Heaters Only for our service request. Valerie at WHO was in touch with us within hours of our service request to set-up an appointment a few hours later in the day. She worked with us to schedule a time that worked around some existing appointments we had, and was very understanding and agreeable.

Brandon arrived to diagnose the problem within the designated time frame. Ultimately, we needed a new unit and were scheduled for the new installation within one hour of diagnosis (had to get authorization from home warranty company). Matt arrived the following morning as scheduled and installed our new unit without incident. He was very nice and affable, and carefully explained all the work that was completed. He was responsive to our questions.

I would highly recommend the services of Water Heaters Only. They were very timely in their work and responsiveness, and were nice people. I would not hesitate to contact them again for future service.

After 19 years our water heater started leaking. It had been installed by Water Heaters Only so we felt comfortable using them again to install another. We were not disappointed. We called them the afternoon we discovered the leak and Brandon arrived at 10:30 a.m. the next day. He was properly masked, as were we, and examined our setup and obtained a quote from the company. The price seemed fair, although sadly higher than 19 years ago! Brandon explained everything he had to do and was careful in his work. He cleaned up nicely afterwards and called later in the day to check if we had any problems or questions. We couldn't be more satisfied.

We love this Company! Our water heater failed and although under contract, we were told the earliest appointment we could get was in 5 days...and that was just to inspect the water heater. The thought of a weeks worth of cold showers was not appealing so we searched for a 24 hour service and came upon Water Heaters Only. Brandon from WHO called ahead and said he could arrive early for my appointment if that was ok by me, (which I appreciated). Brandon showed up shortly and looked at the old water heater in the garage. He explained the process and new water heater details, then called the office for the price quote. Awesome from the initial call throughout installation. Called and spoke with a very knowledgeable and polite lady, set up appoint for that afternoon. Serviceman came out quickly, was very knowledgeable ( ran me thru repair and replace scenarios) did the work and we were in business the same day.

My experience with this company was miserable. they missed appointment times, lied about why they missed them and then argued about it. the call was through my warranty company which covers water heaters but I was charged $175 for adjustments. this was a simple way for them to make up the additional money since they give warranty companies discounts. the technician even agreed and explained to me how they will adjust the adjustment charges based on what they find, ei. elderly people. I would never recommend these people, there office staff is rude and down right mean.

Isn't it always the weekend that something like a water heater breaks? A neighbor turned off the water heater for me because i was losing hundreds of gallons of water (big leak, flooded back yard) and we are in the middle of the worst drought ever. I called my regular plumbing service that I have been with for years, left a message with their answering service and they never called me back!! A friend recommended WHO, Inc to me because he was very satisfied with price and work. They answered right away, gave me a quote, and scheduled the earliest appointment they could - unfortunately Monday. But Loni showed up on time, was done in two hours, did the job by himself, and put in extra earthquake stabilization and placed the straps in a more secure fashion. He was very patient with me in explaining shut off valves and other earthquake precautions. I am so very pleased with this company and their personnel that I highly recommend them. I would have given them 5 stars but I did have to wait 2 nights because of the weekend.

My water heater broke internally and was leaking water all over the garage. I called my usual plumber who came out and told me I needed to replace it and gave me an estimate. The estimate seemed high so I reached out to water heaters only. Instead of immediately launching into a sales pitch, they asked for the model and serial number and then informed me that it was still under warranty. It is really hard to find honest home services companies, but I will definitely use them in the future or refer them to others.

I just purchased a 40 gallon Rheem hot water heater from Water Heaters Only on Aug 18, 2015. First, when I called at 4 o'clock in the morning, the person who answered was wide awake and took my information, answered all my questions, gave me an estimate of almost $1000.00 less than my first estimate (which was ridiculous) and set up an appointment for the same day for me. John the technician came out and did an excellent job removing my rusty, leaking tank. Then he installed the new tank with new lines and a pressure release tank. Before he left, he answered all my questions, surveyed the area and cleaned up everything. I absolutely recommend Water Heaters Only.

After 25 years, our original water heater had had enough and gave us fair warning with a slow but steady drip, drip, drip all over our garage floor. Since it was late in the afternoon when I discovered the leak, I called WHO after 5pm but was able to get an appointment for the following day. The WHO technician Steve B. showed up the next day at the scheduled time and three hours later we had a new water heater! Steve did a very professional-looking job installing the unit and bringing everything up to code. He was very personable and explained in detail what he was going to do before starting the job, and upon finishing took the time to familiarize us with the controls and maintenance of the new tank. Great job, Steve! Thank you.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend WHO to friends and neighbors.

I used Water Heaters Only for the first time yesterday to replace my old water heater that had stopped providing hot water. The benefit of this company is that their yellow sticker is on your water heater (how did that get there?), you can get through quickly and get a nice person, and you can get same day service. But, I had two problems develop with this company.

When I called they in the AM, they said someone would be there from 1-1:30 PM. After several phone calls to the company looking for my service person, someone finally showed up at 4:15PM! I was only told on the last call, that the service appointment time is a four hour window of time....!? Of course, they had kept this a secret from me. So not a good way to start off a service call. I kept my fingers crossed and hoped the installation would go well.

The installation went well in that I got a new water heater and hot, hot water.......
But during the installation, this person did scrape the paint off the wooden base and left deep gouges. When I told him he would have to repaint the base, he instead replaced it with a wooden base. (I like my old one better.) Though he cleaned up my garage floor, some marks were left and I told him I would take care of it myself. (It was after 6PM and I wanted some privacy,) But, after he left and I went to clean the spots, I realized they weren't spots. I have a, nice looking, commercial grade dark green paint on my garage floor and the marks were actually the bare concrete floor! He must have scraped my floor with 'something' when he was doing the installation. If only I had known, we could have covered the floor in the area he was working on. I have plenty of carpet samples he could have used to protect my floor. I did call the company about this and was told they do use cardboard to protect areas, but it was not done in my garage.

So if you contact this company, I'd advise confirming the appointment time, ask about their four hour window of time, and protect the working area if they do not do it.. Also, I know they mention that if you mention Yelp you'll get a $55 discount. (Their yellow coupon says $50.) When I mentioned Yelp to the installer, he asked if I had a Yelp coupon???? (I did get the $55 off.)

Wow! We called and the company sent someone to our house within the hour. Brandon went above and beyond for us. He explained everything, allowed my husband to hover, and managed the issues that arose from ours being an older home in stride. All this for a very competitive cost (we know, because we called Water Heaters Only, Inc. as a second opinion, after we weren't comfortable with the first company's technician or price quote). Do yourself a favor - just call these guys. We are amazed!

BEWARE.

I purchased a water heater from a company called Just Water Heaters, Inc., and they in turn, without notification to me, their customer, sold the business to this outfit, Water Heaters Only, Inc. Get it?

The water heater that I purchased from Water Heaters, Inc had a LIFETIME warranty, so when the water heater started leaking from the bottom, I called the EXACT SAME NUMBER that had been provided by Just Water Heaters to call for any repairs.

The call was answered by a Matt and then by a Paul from Water Heaters Only who informed me that the Lifetime Warranty I had purchased from Just Water Heaters was no good because they went out of business. I inquired as to why I had reached the new company at the OLD number. I was informed that it was because Just Water Heaters had sold everything to Water Heaters Only, including their telephone number. When I inquired as to whether the purchase would have included coverage for my Lifetime Warranty contract, both said no and that I had no recourse.

Isn't it really interesting that the Water Heaters Only company purchase included the same exact telephone number BUT NOT the previous company's obligations??

Maybe that's true and maybe it's not. The message as to this particular outfit is, BEWARE.

I did my own research, contacted the manufacturer of my water heater first thing this morning, and they sent out a technician to fix the issue. I now have a brand new parts at free cost to me. Even if I was to purchase the parts: $560 for parts + $250 for labor = $810 vs $2,000+ on a new unit. That's a $1,190 savings to me. Yes, my unit was a 2013 model and still has plenty of life left on it. Can't keep up with the Jones by purchasing the latest model .

Old unit out and new unit in = back in business. Pretty easy. Good for the next 5 to 10 years.

We would like to take an opportunity to extend recognition for Water Heaters Only employee Steve Sweek. Our water heater had a slow leak and after contacting Water Heaters Only (where we also received outstanding support), Steve was prompt in getting over to assess our situation. Upon meeting him, he presented himself with the perfect attributes of professionalism and friendliness. We trusted him right from the start as we could tell he knew his work like the back of his hand. He was very sincere in lending us the proper information (which other companies were not) and we solidified our contract with him that night.

Steve arrived right on time and with his usual positive and friendly demeanor. He got to work right away and went well above and beyond his scope of the job. For example, one of our pipes had old insulation on it and Steve took the time to reinsulate the pipe for us. His work on our water heater replacement can only be summarized as thorough, precise, and exceptional. He knows his work inside and out and it shows. What's more however, is that he takes pride in his work which cannot be readily found these days. We believe he is a true asset to your company and we hope he will stick around another 10-20 years when we need our next replacement! It's wonderful to know that Water Heaters Only employs such high caliber staff that work far from the main office. My 11 year old Bradford White water heater gave up the ghost at 5:00AM on Sunday, 11/16, leaking water everywhere, the garage flooded. I called and a representative answered immediately, explained how to shut off the water and gas and assisted me with service.
Later that day Toa called, then arrived and detailed the process, showed me the main water shut-off, then replaced the ailing unit with a new Rheem. Hot water was restored within half an hour.
Toa was knowledgable, courteous and quick. I'm extremely pleased with the job.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. This company is awesome when it comes to customer service. They show up on time, call before they come, explain the situation they find and then make excellent recommendations. Valerie and Nancy, in the office, were both great in answering questions about their products and services, and Brandon, the installer, was really considerate, timely, efficient and just generally a very nice guy. Our Whirlpool water heater had stopped working, and we tried to fix it ourselves with new parts, but it was shot. The last thing we needed was to pay for a new water heater. However, they allow you to pay 1/3 down with 2 more payments at 30 and 60 days. They offered a senior discount as well. We had 3 companies come out with estimates. Water Heaters Only was 1/2 the price of the other companies. I hadn't heard of the brand of water heater they use (Bradford White), but I felt confident in their recommendation which was based on their experience in repairs or warranty work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for the above reasons!

This company is THEE FEAKIN BEST!!! i purchased my home in June and it still had the original water heater. John came out on a Saturday Am and was very efficient, nice and professional as can be. Turns out that the water heater hand been leaking and John noticed it. He immediately had me call the home warranty company, Old Republic, to see if it was covered. He was so patient with me and the company and took his time to make sure that everything was done correctly. In the end, Old republic covered my water heater AND some other items that were not up to code. Joh saved me $900 that day and he made my day most of all... i would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants fast, efficient and great service!!!

Our 16 year old water heater was failing, and we knew we needed a new one. I called Water Heaters Only on a Saturday afternoon, and we were scheduled to receive a new water heater the next day. John, the technician, called Sunday morning to let us know he was on his way. Once he arrived, it took him about 90 minutes to remove our old water heater and install the new one. Great service and very knowledgeable! Brandon Nelson was our technician and he was prompt and replaced our special water heater perfectly. Not only was he very good at installing our extra difficult water heater correctly, but he was also very speedy in doing so. I called around other places and got responses of not knowing or understanding the type of water heater we needed replaced, or they didn't want the hassle of our type of water heater. In addition, was given a much higher quote to replace it. Water Heaters Only know their stuff and I am happy I went with the pros! Brandon didn't not disappoint and was amazing! They promised one day service. They lied and ultimately failed.

Drew (technician) arrived on site to examine broken water heater and informed my daughter that he did not have that water heater on his truck. Drew said he would go and pick it up and return in 30 minutes. After an hour with no update I contacted management. Management claimed that my daughter could not wait for Drew to return, which was not true, she was home all day. Drew later claimed that he also needed a part from their headquarters and could not return because it was too late in the day.

They gave 3 different excuses on their failure. They also refused to quote the price on the heater, just the entire job.

After several quotes, even one from the plumbing contractor my home warranty company sent me, I saw the sticker for WHO on my water heater (installed way before buying the house) and decided to get one more estimate. They sent Ron out the next day, he called when he was on his way so I didn't have to sit at home waiting and I was able to head home from work to meet him and return to work. His quote was way below anyone else's and I scheduled the work for the next morning (today). He arrived on time and was very pleasant. He made all of the code upgrades we required and got the water heater installed, everything works great! Don't bother contacting anyone else, just call WHO directly and you will save a lot of time and money.

My home warranty company sent these guys out. They replaced the water heater on 11-2-16 then had to come out the next day to make it work as we were getting no hot water. I remember something about them trying to charge for some fee, maybe disposal or removal or something that i figured should have been covered by the warranty company.
Anyhow I just got home to discover that once again there was no hot water. Seems to be a common occurrence when the wind slightly blows at my nearly new home. What a pain in the ass. I called their 24 hour emergency line over and over with no answer. So once again I lit the pilot light on my own and was surprised with a leaky pipe fitting streaming water from the top of the heater. Luckily I'm a handy guy...and my water heater is also located in my garage. I adjusted the fitting and hope to get these guys out tomorrow to do their job. I give them a couple stars because I'm not sure if the pilot light going out is a defect on their part and that the pipe fitting lasted about a 1.5 years until it spewed water.

After calling WHO on a Saturday evening - they were able to send someone Tuesday morning to replace my leaking heater - all 75 gallons of it. They would have gotten five stars but unfortunately John was three hours behind schedule arriving. He did phone several times to apologize and spent 6 hours fitting the new heater. A great service and good efficient workmanship. I would have no hesitation recommending them.

I was overcharged by this company. The person 'Paul' quoted me one price over phone, another person 'Luigi' came over and tried to make me sign up an estimate for $200 more. When I refused, he played this stupid game trying to call 'Paul', buf of course, 'Paul' already left. 'Luigi announced, that if I don't go with them, it will be $65 for person showing up for estimate.

I had to fix it and went with them. Still, I have that not nice feeling, that I was ripped off and upsold.

Stay away from those people, they are not honest and they are rip offs.

I had such a great experience with Water Heaters Only, Inc. They answered my call right away and sent Mike out pronto for a free estimate.

My leaking water heater was an antique with some crazy plumbing attached. The price quote was very fair and there were no extra labor fees attached. Mike had a new heater available to install and he had it up and running in two hours.

Mike was very professional yet friendly and was so helpful; pointing out exactly what needed to be done beforehand, showing me exactly what was done at the end of the job and also giving me a clear picture of what might need done in the future.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I give a big round of applause to Mike!

Excellent work delivered quickly and with a sense of ownership over the job (Job # 1045391)!

I contacted Water Heaters Only (WHO) on 3/19/13 for a quote. Even though my existing water heater was still working, WHO scheduled John (tech) to come onsite between 2p-5p the next day. John arrived on site a towards the end of the scheduling window (apologized he could not come out sooner), delivered a quote, and explained the costs.

I signed the contract and John got to work immediately with the exact water heater brand/size I had requested.

The most impressive part of the job was John's critical communication on what to expect (we were about to serve dinner and he had foresight to let us know that we should bucket some water proactively as water would be off for about two hours).

After John was done installing the water heater (about 1.5 hours later), he went over the contract details with me and let me know what to expect (inspections, survey, etc). I reviewed the work John completed (which was VERY clean and professionally done) and cut him a check for the job.

By 8p, our hot water was running. Thanks John and Water Heaters Only, you have earned my future business and referrals for my waters heaters.

I call the next place and they repair the starter switch for $200 after going to home depot for me to grab it. Problem solved same day.

When I decided to replace my old water heater with something new, I selected Water Heaters Only after talking to Paul M. on the phone. Paul said I needed a ultra-low nox gas water heater and the BTU rating would depend on what size vent pipe that existed; mine was a 3 inch vent. Pricing was fair and given to me right up front. After selecting a Rheem natural gas water heater he was able to get it installed the same day (in the afternoon). My installer John Fantham showed up on time and did a very professional job. I requested a drip leg on the gas line, a pressure tank, a new ball valve on the cold water line. John did all that I requested, hauled away the old heater and trash too. Now my water is hotter, the tank is foam insulated and doesn't heat up my garage like the old unit did, is quieter and safer, and I haven't noticed my pipes banging since the new pressure tank.

My water heater broke on a Tuesday morning and I called several companies to get an estimate. This company was one of the lowest prices so I had them come out the same day. When they arrived the tech informed me that I have a direct vent water heater and the price doubled. Needless to say I was upset! The tech gave me estimate and said to think about it and check around and call back if I wanted to go with them. There was no pressure. So as always, the next morning I sarted my research again. When I called their office, David said he was about to call me because he was worried that I thought they did a bait and switch. I knew that wasn't the case because when I called the other companies they also doubled their price due to the direct vent. I thought that was very kind and professial that he was concerned about that. I was able to find two other companies that were alittle less and David matched their price AND could come out Wed night. The same tech, Chad came back out and he did a wonderful job. He called two other techs to come and help so it wouldn't take as long. Chad, Derrick and Matt were very helpful and went above and beyond my expectatons. From my research from other companies this was not an easy job but they sure made it seem like it. If you're like me, and you've been considering a plumbing company vs. WHO, do yourself a very simple favor& just call Water heaters only

They beat a few major and a few independent service providers prices. Annnd it couldn't have been easier!

I wish there was a only for a lot of other services now, ha! It is nice having a quick conversation & getting good quality product & installation with no haggling or feeling like a better deal was out there.

We got a quality water heater, fast & tidy installation, for a price range of 400-800 dollars less than any other quote. I checked with the larger plumber providers & some independent, even direct from a Home Depot/ lowes was not cheaper or easier. (And at both of those I could not get the make/model that was anywhere close to the quality I wanted.

So it's very easy& they do good work. As long as it stands the ultimate test of time, we are happy not to be thinking about water heaters thanks to WHO!

I went with this company because their quote was $1000 less than the other company. They gave me a larger water heater and still saved me $1000. John was on time, worked efficiently, was very consciences when removing and hauling the water heater down the stairs and bringing up the new one (our water heater is in the attic). He cleaned up their messes and tested our water lines before leaving. I would definitely use them in the future and refer them without hesitation.

Last night, we came home to water all over our garage floor. The problem was clear: our 25 year-old water heater had ruptured! It was 5 pm and so many plumbers we contacted did not even answer their phones. Lucky for us and with the help of yelp, we found Water Heaters Only, Inc. The call was answered immediately, and within the hour they sent a tech who was courteous, understanding and knew his stuff! Within three hours of our phone call, he replaced our water heater, installed new fittings - and cleaned up after he was done! An hour after that, we had hot water again! Paul from Water heaters only installed a 100 gal commercial water heater in 2012. At that time, it cost less than a plumber. The unit is already leaking. I called WHO and the guy said it was out of warranty. You get what you pay for. Going with a licensed plumber this time.

After checking with Lowe's and Home Depot, we decided to have Water Heaters Only come out and install a new water heater. Kevin West called when he was on his way, showed up on time, and installed the new water heater for the minimum that had been quoted on the phone. He even cleaned underneath and around the heater, which was wet and dusty, with a shop vac. Kevin is professional, but has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this company!

Ten Stars, people...ten stars!

Our water heater let us know it was fried by leaving lots of water in our garage.

Yet, we were all smiles within minutes of calling this great business
seeking help.

We were happily surprised a customer service rep. was working not
only on a Sunday, yet on Dad's day! They truly do take care of
customers 24/7!!!

Via phone, an appointment was made for the following day.
We were given a two hour time window- that's a lot better than the up
to six hour time windows we've had from other service people.

Wow!!!!!!!!! First thing the next morning, the technician, Hakim called
and narrowed the time window to 15 minutes!
Wow again- he arrived within that window of time!

Hakim is an absolutely wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful man!

He was thorough in explaining the water heater purchasing options
and explained our particular and tricky installation; due to some stuff
in the way. I was impressed that he explained the issues so I could
understand what was going on.

In all honesty, up until Hakim visited our home for this repair, I had
lost all hope and trust in any service/repair people and contractors.

Yet, after Hakim's fantastic job replacing our water heater, I am
regaining faith!

I am 100% serious when I state that the service I received was the

I had called two other local places to have a hot water heater replacedon my rental. The tenant had no hot water and the first place I called took all my info and did not show up, when I called they said they were waiting for me to call them with tenants phone number which they initially said they would get by email. I ended up calling Water Heaters Only and they were nice on phone and competent . They said they could get some one out quickly to look and give me an estimate. I got a call from the tech shortly after and he was already on his way. He called me back with an estimate and the price was less than two other places I had checked. I authorized it and they installed it right away. Problem fixed ! Terrible company. I had an appointment window of 1 to 4 pm. They said I would get a call when the tech was on the way.

I received a voicemail at 120 stating that they were attempting to dispatch someone to my house, but I needed to call back within 15 minutes. I called back right away and they said they couldn't dispatch anyone until tomorrow because he had already gone to another job. I explained that no one had rang my doorbell or called. He said they don't send anyone until they actually talk to you on the phone and that they had called me at 11.

I said I wasn't home at 11 because my window was 1 to 4. He said they never send the tech during the window because after many years of business, they know that people aren't always home during their window. They don't want to pay the tech if you aren't home. I said that's not my case and that I was home and that I had been given an appointment. He said I couldn't have an appointment until tomorrow. Why would I wait around to spend $1700 with this company that won't even stand behind their appointment window?!

So basically, the 4 hour window doesn't mean anything and you have to be available at their beck and call.

This company rocks! I called them from a relative's recommendation and from Angie's List. Paul told me that I can have my water heater replaced in the morning. A few hours later, he called and said that, due to a cancellation, they could be out to my house that same evening. John Fantham arrived at the appointed time and, after a brief summary of the work that was to be performed and a discription of the product that I was purchasing from them, went right to work. He was obiviously very experienced. The work went well, with no problems. In about two hours time, I had a new water heater without a disruption to our routine at home. After the job was completed John cleaned up and left no trace that he had just performed a major operation on our house. I was provided world class customer service and I am very pleased with the outcome of the work that Water Heaters Only performed.

I'm just going to say it up front - this company is fantastic. It was Christmas Eve and had discovered the night before that the water heater was leaking. We did a bit of research, and several people/Property Management Companies (people we know) recommended Water Heaters Only. Within the hour calling Water Heaters Only, they were at the house. Matt was the repair person - and what a nice person! He accessed the situation and gave us an estimate. The cost was very reasonable and did not include a charge for coming on a holiday. I don't think you will find any repair company that would do that. Matt went straight to work and in what I think was an hour and a half was done. I just don't think you can go wrong having this company help you with your water heater needs. Matt - thank you so much!!!

Our water heater broke on 1/16/2018. That same day, Water Heaters Only, Inc sent a repairman to give us an estimate. The estimate was lower than the two other companies that we had out that day. Then paid a plumber came to my house- showed me it was the water heater plainly. So, another day with leaking water heater. I called to replace a water heater about 9:00am on August 28 2018. Ron B. came out hauled away the old one, replaced with a new 50 gallon, placed wood underneath, updated to code on earthquake straps...by 2:00pm the same day!
Ron B. was efficient and professional.
I then asked they come out the next day to just make sure no gas was leaking and everything was perfect (because my fire alarms/CO monitors went off in the night)--John F. came out and checked in and outside of my home to make sure. Everything was fine.
I just needed new fire/CO alarms-just coincidental on our part.

This is the third water heater we've had installed by Water Heaters Only, and it has been a perfect experience each time.
Our 15-year-old water heater was starting to leak, and we were going on vacation in two days. I called on 8/23, and set up an appointment for the next day. Beni showed up at the beginning of the window of time I was allotted. He installed the new heater right away. He was efficient and left no mess to clean up. No more leaky water heater. Our water heater pilot light went out wouldn't re-light. We have a home warranty and they sent Water Heaters Only out to us. Water Heaters Only came out on Easter Sunday to replace our water heater for us and walked us through all the updates they needed to work on to bring the new water heater installation up to code. The gentleman that came out (Matt, I think?) to replace our water heater was friendly and professional. Our dog liked him too. Called up Water Heaters Only on 08/10/15 because our water heater in our home started leaking. Originally set up a time the next day but they were able to fit us in on the same day! Ben (hopefully I got his name right because he was great!) was a very professional and cordial worker. He explained how everything works and gave us an all inclusive quote right there. He even did the job right there and then. Didn't have to wait for him to get a water heater. Whole job took about 2.5 hours from the time he showed up until the time he was done. My 30 year old hot water heater finally needed to be replaced. I called 3 places and scheduled appointments. Water Heaters Only was the 2nd appointment. Installer John Fantham was totally professional and explained in detail the scope of the job. He answered all my questions and wrote me a quote. It was well below the 1st quote I had received. I signed the contract and John began work. About 2 hours later, he was done, the work site was completely cleaned up, and I had hot water again. The entire experience was positive from start to end. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs prompt service and a quality installation. My 18+ year old water heater gave up the battle & sprung a leak on Labor Day morning. By Wed. morning I had received 4 estimates for replacement & Water Heaters Only was the lowest estimate & could do the job the same day. I felt fairly comfortable with them because they have been in business for so long (they installed the old water heater in 1994) and they have good reviews on Angie's List. John, their technician, called to let me know what time he would be there, with in my appointment time window. He arrived exactly when he said he would & when he took one look at my old water heater & where it was located in a fairly tight closet in my basement, he pointed out several things that would need to be adjusted to meet current CA. codes.
Unfortunately the actual install was a little more frustrating. Because of the size of the closet he had to find a short tank to fit, which he was able to do through one of their suppliers. It took him about an hour to go pick it up. When he got back he started right in on removing the old tank & the prep work. He had a little bit of trouble getting the old tank up the basement stairs because one of the tires on his dolly was going flat. With me pushing from below, the two of us were able to get it up the last couple stairs.
When he went out to his truck to get the new tank I could hear his exasperation. He then had to come in & tell me that the new tank was damaged & couldn't be used. He called the supplier back & they luckily had another one in stock. John was able to convince them to send one of their salesmen to deliver it within the hour, rather than waiting on their regular delivery guys, that would take a couple of hours. In the mean time he was able to keep working on his prep work.
The T&P line had to be re-plumbed because the valve is on the side of the new tank instead of the top, like on the old tank. That, however, meant making a new hole to the outside of my house. On his 3rd attempt through the drywall he was able to find an unencumbered route all the way out through the stucco. Unfortunately, it came out behind some electrical conduit & pushed the conduit away from the stucco. John pointed this out to me & also showed me how he capped the old drain. He said he didn't want to remove it because it would leave a hole in the stucco. Not the most esthetically pleasing finishes but a valid point, I guess.
John was very apologetic for all of the delays & frustrations and without my asking, took $50 off the bill. I did appreciate that. He also told me about a current promotion they were offering. He didn't have the info flyer with him but he told me who to contact in the office. He called back the next day to check to see if I had any questions. Again, appreciated. The best part, I was able to take a nice hot shower that evening!

I am writing this review for my parents since they don't own a computer (yet)!!
My dad called on Monday morning and their serviceman came out that afternoon and put in a new 40 gal water heater! The previous water heater was also installed by Water Heaters Only back in 1997! My parents were extremely satisfied with the service and professionalism of Water Heaters Only.

This company is fantastic! I used them first in 2008 from a sticker on the water heater when I bought the house. I sold that home in 2011 and moved to my Cameron Park home. Over the weekend I kept having a wet spot, thinking it was my dog who doesn't normally do that sort of thing, but I did ignore him for 3 hours while watering the outdoors with the Sacramento heat. Turns out it was a 2006 water heater melt down in the hall closet not the poor dog. I turned off the valves, circuit breaker, and drained the tank on Sunday. Monday morning about 8:30 I called Water Heaters Only. They told me they could come out the same day. Brandon, a super guy, polite, cleaned up after himself, did a stellar job, built a platform to raise the one heater in the garage for pressure valve overflow, and put a pan under both units. The one in the closet he fashioned a valve into the pan with an elbow to flow under the sub-flooring out to the side yard. Brandon took on every challenge with calm, confident, and qualified demeanor. It was a big job doing two, but 6 hours later it was a great job well done. Thanks Brandon and Water Heaters Only, your my kind of customer service and top notch talent! I'll be sure to refer you to all my friends.

My 86 year old Mother discovered a puddle of water under her hot water heater. I knew immediately who to call, Water Heaters Only, Inc. I myself used their services a few years ago, and was most satisfied; they had also replaced one at my Sons home about 4 years ago.

I placed a call to them at 8:15am and was informed that their employee would be sent out as soon as possible, by the name of John. He would be at her residence between 9:00am - 11:00am It was 9:30am the doorbell rang....there was John.

John was very professional, and very good about answering her/our questions. We were given the estimate, approximate length of time to do the job. The work was done in a timely manner, clean up done, and bill was given. Mom paid John, and he was off to his next customer.

The tank was installed in such a way that seismic movement will hold tank in place and prevent tank from damaging water and gas connection.

I put in a request online for water heater inspection and/or repair quotes around nine months ago on one of those we'll send your request to five companies sites. WHO was the only company that responded in detail, and continued to answer my questions for several months afterward.

Last weekend, our heater finally stopped working (or was working intermittently and running out of hot water in 2-3 minutes) so I called WHO to take care of it. Matt came out on Sunday and checked our system, and discovered that it was massively out of code. (Wrong piping size, no leak protection, no power shutoff within five feet, etc.) We were unable to do the replacement then (wrong heater model written up, they had to order a different one), so rescheduled for Tuesday. Matt and Brandon arrived Tuesday afternoon, and within two hours had fixed all of the code problems and installed the new heater, all within the original quoted price.

My family was able to have baths/showers with hot (HOT!) water, without it running out for the first time in a year. Thank you so much!

My experience was pretty great. I needed a new hot water heater and got an appointment the same day. Brandon Nelson called to let me know he was on his way, and arrived on time. He did a great job explaining my options in a way that was easy for me to understand. He got right to work replacing my hot water heater and finished in a couple of hours. The work was very professional and everything looked much better after he was done than it did before. He also installed a drip pan to drain to the outside of my garage, which is something I really needed but never had before. Brandon also answered all my questions at the end. He also supplied longer replacement screws from his van in order to be able to reattach the heater closet door which had fallen off during the work due to some rotted wood in the doorway. The technician, Dillon, showed up on time to give me an estimate. Water Heaters Only came highly recommended and their estimate was $1500 below another company submitted. I hired W.H.O. and was happy when Dillon said he could do the job right then. He went right to work and a couple hours later I had a new water heater. I would recommend W.H.O. to anyone needing to replace their water heater.

Great service and installation! A very straightforward business. So professional and helpful when I messaged on Yelp and when I called the business. They were able to get a scheduled visit for me for the next day -- on a Saturday morning no less! They were candid with the fact that my water heater was too old and may need complete replacement. John called before my appointed time slot to confirm his visit, and when he arrived, he was efficient, professional, and got to work right away. Three hours later, everything is all done, hot water works, and I am totally happy. Wow! I am so happy I called these guys. I came home to a leaking water heater; I called them after hours and they answered; set up an appointment for the following morning and John Fantham showed up on time, called me while on his way, and my water heater was a nightmare of very strange hoses. It was complicated for sure. He took his time, explained everything to me along the way, and went above and beyond for me. Incredible great quality job!! Can't thank John enough! They called ahead and said they were running late for my appointment window (which I appreciated). When John the tech came out to my house late ( 5:15 pm) to start the job I was worried that he was going to cut corners and do a second rate job so he could go home. However I was grateful he did not hurry the job he stayed much later than I expected and explained things very nicely. I felt happy with his honesty, and quality of the water heater.

After going into our garage and hearing a drip, drip, drip sound, we found that our 20 year old water heater was leaking from the base all over the floor. I had done some maintenance service with Water Heaters Only in the past, and gave them a call hoping that someone could come out quickly to take care of the problem. Even though it was Labor Day, the tech was out within an hour(!), and not only did we have the replacement tank taken care within a couple of hours, but he also brought the unit up to code! The workmanship and pricing were outstanding given the circumstances, and they also worked with us on payment terms as well! Overall an exceptional company to work with and I would highly recommend their services.

If there were negative stars available for rating, this company would get them.
After noticing that his water wasn't getting hot in the shower, my boyfriend called to see about getting someone to come out and check his water heater. Steven from Water Heaters Only answered the number that was on the water heater (installed just 3 years earlier) and said they bought the number when the company went out of business. He said he couldn't make it out until the next day (mind you my boyfriend called in the morning) so my boyfriend said he would call someone else. All of the sudden Steven was available later that evening.
Steven arrived and looked at the heater for about 30 minutes and said it was in need of a $25 part. After replacing it, Steven then handed him a bill for, get this, $250.00!!
Absolutely ridiculous!!
I had to share with everyone when I truly feel like someone has been ripped off.

What can I say. These guys were awesome. From the time I sent them an email, the time they spent answering all my questions, to the replacement, experience was first class. Kevin was the technician who did the job and he called in advance to let us know he was coming, walked us through what the issues were, a few additional recommendations and BOOM, a new water heater installed in about 2 hours. I called 5 different companies to replace my 20+ year old water heater, that finally kicked the bucket. They all came out and gave me a quote to replace the system and gave me their pitch on why I should use their organization to install the new one. Some quotes were on the high end and a few were very close, if not the same in price. Water Heaters Only sent John (Tech) out at 9am on December 4th to give me a quote. I hammered John with a bunch of questions, which he answered in length, rather than responding with the typical Yes or No answer. I found him to be very informative and honest. I liked the fact that he didn't try to upsell my on more expensive heaters or accessories. I also liked how he didn't speak negative about other company's and instead focused on the positives of using Water Heaters Only. I decided on the spot to go with John and Water Heaters Only but I wanted to replace my old water heater with the same brand- Bradford/White. He said he didn't have one on the truck but had one at the office. He went got the one I wanted and was back in an hour. The job # 1073573, turned out great. He didn't a great job installing the unit, cleaned up after himself, and stuck around after he collected payment to answer some more questions that I had about how to properly flush the unite, etc. I am very happy with the installation of the water heater and the job that John did putting it in. A big thanks to Water Heaters Only for a job well done.

Sunday appointment! Called and came early! Removed a difficult 33 year old beast! Replaced all valves and piping! Installed a recirculating pump, that worked great this am, didn't have to wait for hot water! Overall a great install!
Will call this am to have the tech come back to tighten an angle stop, that drips, under the master sink where the bypass valve was installed. Other than that, it was perfect!

The gas valve on my water heater was leaking gas and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, switching out the box with the valve caused a leak in the water heater. I live in Sunnyvale and called the 800 number for WHO, Inc. on a Tuesday night at 7 pm and they said they had someone available on Wednesday at noon. Being the impatient person that I am, I said I would call around and see if I could get someone sooner. Before I hung up, the operator asked a couple of questions and said I would be looking at $1100 to $1200. We have the original heater and it would need to be brought up to code.

I called Water Heater Professionals and they said they could have someone out that night between 8 to 10 pm and they charged $759 for a 40 gallon water heater and installation. Just after 10 pm, I called for the ETA, but the one person they had available would not be able to come out until after 1 am due to a unforseen bad pipe and then it would be too late for their employee to come out. After reading yelp reviews on this company, I decided to skip them.

I called and got the voicemail for Better Water Heaters and sent them an email. (Just fyi - they left me a message that morning at 7:30 am, but I already scheduled WHO for that morning).

I called WHO back and they said they can send someone out between 9 am to 12 pm. At 10 am, Alex called and said he was on his way. Alex arrived just before 10:30 am, he looked at my heater, said it was xx for the heater, and xx to bring it up to code, total for everything, removing, making the stand, insulation, straps, etc... was $1192. and it would take him about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

By 12:30 pm, Alex was driving away. The new water heater was installed, sitting on a rough wood stand, straps, pipes all replaced, insulated, and the Instruction manual taped to the water heater. It's a 40 gallon Bradford White. ---Not really a pretty site, but it's in the garage and the water heater works. Alex was not a big guy, but he did it all himself. Before Alex left, he showed me how to turn off the gas and water on the heater. Hot water was available 45 minutes later.

It's been 2 weeks and all is still good.

I originally had appointment set up with a Bonney plumbing to come look at & if needed replace hot water heater but, when they were over three hours late my wife started looking for someone else. She found the # for Water Heaters Only. I called & spoke to Nic & explained our situation. A badly leaking hot water heater. Soonest he could come out for first thing the next day. I booked the appointment with him, sent him photos so he could give me a quote & things were all set. Within 20 minutes Nic called & said they had a cancellation & they could come out the same day. Heck yes I took that appointment. The technician John showed up & was nothing but polite & professional to my wife. John knocked it bout of the park. By time I got home from work he was done & we had hot water.
I STRONGLY recommend Nic & his team.
