This is our second time hiring Taz and once again we're happy. Our kitchen sink and cutoff valves were basically dead due to corrosion flushing in from the old galvanized supply lines. They replaced the lines and the sink quickly, and for the agreed upon price. All good.

I cannot say enough good things about the guys at TAZ plumbing!!! I had made an appointment the day before with another plumber who had cancelled on me right when he was supposed to show up. I was able to contact Taz Plumbing and they told me that they had an opening and would be over in 10 MINUTES!! They showed up promptly, removed an old kitchen faucet that was leaking and installed the new faucet, checked for leaks and were on their way. All of this was done at an affordable price. For any future plumbing jobs that I might have, I'm calling these guys. They are the BEST. I'm so grateful.

I called Mike's number and didn't get Mike but spoke to another person and made an appointment for 4.30 pm today. It's now 6 pm, nobody has shown up, nobody has called and when I try calling Mike, the voice mail is full so I can't leave a message.

From sending out a quote request to scheduling an appointment with Taz Plumbing took only 15 minutes (we reached out to 5 different companies recommended on Yelp and Taz was the first to respond with an actual quote). We had set an appointment two days ago for a toilet installation today with no exact time given but requested that it be in the afternoon.
When we called today to get an estimated arrival time they said an hour away; Jeebz and Ty arrived promptly an hour after the call and they did a fantastic job! It only took an hour to complete the installation. From the sounds of our conversation, this is one of the first Toto washlet style toilet they've installed and it's working well. They did offer to come back out if there were any issues. We're very satisfied with our experience with Taz Plumbing!

We had a roof leak and wouldn't you know it, the wall we had to replace had our tankless water heater mounted on it. Jeebz was able to come remove it from the wall, then put it back on the new wall, within a couple of days. He was on time and did a great job, even letting us know that he should replace a valve that we hadn't noticed had stopped working. 100% would recommend-thanks, Jeebz!

I had a blockage in the sink drain line that was preventing any water from going down, thereby preventing dishes from being washed in the sink or dishwasher. I had a handheld snake of my own that I attempted to clear the blockage with but no luck. I submitted a request to 5 plumbers in the area and Taz Plumbing responded first and within 10 minutes. I had asked for an estimated price for the job and Taz Plumbing was also the most reasonable of those that provided a price. Taz Plumbing came out the first thing the next morning and worked on the blockage until the pipe was clear and water was freely draining again. Taz Plumbing's ability to give me an upfront price that was the same price we paid at the end of the job, coupled with their commitment to make sure our issue was resolved, has ensured that we will contact Taz Plumbing again for our future plumbing issues.

It is almost midnight and although I normally do not write reviews, I am so impressed by Taz Plumbing, I must testify. I concur with the other reviewers, OUTSTANDING!!! I was referred to another plumbing company to reinstall my fixtures after a kitchen remodel. The other company promised a two day turn around but after 4 days (and a few tears) I gave up and contacted Taz Plumbing via Yelp for a quote. Jeebz was very responsive and the price was reasonable. It was after-hours but I did not want to wait another day and the gentlemen arrived within minutes. They installed a faucet, garbage disposal, dishwasher and gas cooktop. It is after 11p but I have my kitchen. Responsive, professional, economical and efficient. Taz Plumbing exceeded my expectations. Do not contact anyone else!

Our bathroom sinks flooded on Friday night and we spent the Sat trying to book plumbers who accepted our request but cancelled at the last min. These guys are awesome!

Thanks to Roto-Rooter for NOT showing up (yesterday) to clean out my sewer Drain line I found TAZ Plumbing on yelp.

First thing this morning I jumped on yelp for quotes. Within minutes I received a great quote from Jeebz with Taz Plumbing and were able to come out to my house within a couple of hours.

They arrived on time (HUGE PLUS++). Shortly after setting up their equipment they dug out the biggest root I have seen come out of my sewer line. Check out the pics.

They cleaned up and were done in less than an hour.

Had a clog in my main sewer line, that was backing sewage up through my downstairs shower (walk-in, not a tub) drain--had to stop water use in the house to keep from flooding the whole bottom floor--and of course it wasn't discovered until around 730pm.. tried all the DIY stuff and my handheld snake but it was just too far down the line, knew I was going to need a 24hr service bring the industrial size, this couldn't wait til morning. First few plumbers I called couldn't send anyone out, but Taz came to the rescue. Called them shortly before 9pm, they had a tech out in under 20min. Snaked it out, was done by 945. Najeeb Jeebz was knowledgeable, kind, courteous and professional, and best of all: got the job done, and fast. Will call them first for any future issues.

Plumber arrived late, walked into our house without a mask, and when I asked that he put one on he could not have been more rude. I would comment on the plumbing job but anyone defying a homeowners request to respect their wishes will never get to complete a job on our property. I would give them a zero but it is not an option. If you want a company dictating your in home policy TAZ PLUMBING is the place for you.

My husband and I are first time home buyers and were shocked to see the results of our sewer report (performed by a different company). I had a minor leak from under the tub door frame that was causing mold issues. Taz Plumbing responded quickly, and a technician was at my home within 24h. Jeeb was very professional. He made a thorough assessment of the issue, replaced the caulking around the tub door on both sides, and made recommendations on next steps if this sealant was insufficient. He also took the appropriate Covid precautions (including a mask). Cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Taz Plumbing and will be returning to them whenever I need help with anything plumbing related.

On Sunday evening we utilized the request a quote option on Yelp to find a plumber for an emergency service for our toilet & bathroom around 6pm. Taz Plumbing responded within 15 mins and provided (2) quotes depending on the issue. The advised the could come out that evening which was so helpful since we couldn't use the bathroom and had concerns about possible flooding. We were quoted a time of 8pm and they showed up by 7:30! The two technicians were professional and resolved the issues quickly. What we thought was a simple clogging issue turned out to be more intense since they found tree roots in the sewer pipes. This required them to snake the pipes in two locations and remove the toilet. I appreciate them cleaning up the bathroom after they finished, we had tree branch debris all over. They were responsive when we asked for photos to pass along to our building management and really took care of us on short notice. By the time they had come to our home and fixed the issue, we had trailing messages from other plumbers providing free quotes messages for later in the week. Taz really came through in an emergency, especially on a Sunday night! I would recommend Taz Plumbing, they provided wonderful customer service!

Our shower cartridge was broken and none knew what brand it was. We had plumbers coming and going, because none of them could identify and find the cartridge. Alternative was to break the wall and install a new system (:o). Taz came in and said that he would find one. He did not charge for the visit, and in a few days called me and said that he found a place that can do a custom order of the part, since it has been discontinued. It arrived a week later and he came and installed it and we finally can shower again! Taz is super able, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely keep him in my go to list.

We've had an issue with our low flow toilet not flushing properly for months. We had a plumber out a month ago who dismissed us by saying all toilets like this have issues and that we should just get a new toilet. We continued having the problem until we got fed up and decided to ask another plumber to take a look for a second opinion. I found Taz Plumbing and sent a request for a quote on a Sunday afternoon. Within 20 minutes, I had a response from someone telling me he would send someone out today! Najeeb showed up at our door only 2 hours later! He listened to our problem, and promptly (and correctly!) diagnosed the issue. He worked on the toilet for maybe 10 minutes, and - voila! - the problem was fixed! Amazing service with a smile! Had these guys come out twice in 13 months, Gee is an absolute pleasure to work with. He's honest about what needs to be fixed, and handles it beautifully. He also does his best to save you money without cutting corners.

First job about a year ago was a clogged main line drain, which they gave me a fair price and did a great job on. It was poorly built in the first place and since they fixed it, it's been perfect ever since.

Second job was just today. The previous resident had strangely installed galvanized pipe to both the inlet and outlet of the water heater and ran galvanized pipe all the way up to the attic to a bathroom. This rusted and sprang a leak inside the wall, had water coming out from the baseboards. Gee came out and gave me an estimate when Preferred Plumbing and Drain couldn't even find me a plumber. He replaced the hot water line with copper (which it should have been from the beginning), and I will definitely be calling him to replace the cold water line as well.

After two excellent experiences with Gee and his partner, I will be calling them for all plumbing needs from now on.

We experienced a plumbing emergency early one morning when the shower draining from upstairs flooded our downstairs kitchen sink causing it to overflow all over our kitchen and dining room floor. Taz Plumbing was not only the first to respond but also sent someone immediately. Manny got to work and found the problem was being caused by a blockage further down a shared pipeline with our townhome neighbor. He resolved it quickly and made written recommendations to share with our neighbor. Altogether it was a great experience with someone who was friendly, curteous, knowledgeable, professional as well as willing to negotiate on price. I highly recommend Taz Plumbing and will use them again in the future.

My daughter had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday night. Her kitchen sink overflowed, and the water kept rising. I used Yelp's request a quote for emergency service, and Taz responded to me almost immediately. For the next hour or so, we kept up a correspondence through yelp. Not sure why anyone WOULDN'T hire Gee to do what needs doing. He gave a great price for two separate trips (rough and finish plumbing), scheduling and finishing the first round of work within two days, throwing in a leak repair that another plumber had left behind. He also added some copper bits where it matters, at no charge. Our kitchen renovation has some great vibes and reliable people like Gee are the reason why! Just hire the guy already!

We had a toilet that was fickle and often would not stop running. It could temporarily be fixed by playing with the float until it starts working again, but it would stop working again in a few days/weeks. I wanted someone to replace the fill valve.

Messaged Taz one evening. Got a fast response. I was quoted an acceptable amount to replace the fill valve and was scheduled for the next morning. Tech came out. Unfortunaly I was not home for the appointment, but my wife was. Told the tech we would like the fill valve replaced. The tech decided the fill valve did not need to be replaced and instead, spent a few minutes adjusting the float until the toilet was functioning. We were still charged the originally quoted amount.

Of course 2 weeks later, the toilet stops working. I do not want to wait for another appointment so I took the time to fix it myself by replacing the fill valve. Now the toilet works fine. Messaged Taz to let him know they did a poor job. And since my plumbing needs were solved without his help, he declined to follow up.

Unfortunately, many things went wrong during our transaction. Poor communication? A lazy technician? Perhaps I needed to be here during the appointment to be absolutely clear about what I wanted. But I shouldn't have to tell them how a toilet needs to be fixed. They provided a short term, shortcut solution but charged me the long term solution price.

We had a plumbing leak at our main water valve, into an old house with old plumbing. We had several plumbers look at the problem, and of those, Taz was clearly the best. They were professional, but easy-going, easy to contact, and they were honest and open about the problem and how they could fix it. And they were half the cost of the other plumbers we asked to provide quotes! They got the job done efficiently, as planned. A pleasure to work with, and hope to hire them to replace all the old plumbing in our house.

We had a bit of an emergency situation when we noticed that sewer water was coming out of pipes in our backyard. Gross, I know. We were immediately in a state of panic thinking about what the problem could be and how much it would cost to fix. This was the first plumbing issue we have had to deal with as home owners, so it's not like we had a trusted plumber on speed dial.

We turned to Yelp and were contacted by a few different companies, one of which was Taz. The first company that came out wanted to snake our line to find what the issue was. When Taz came out and saw what was happening, the guy said that snaking it wouldn't work and suggested doing some super power hydro cleaning thing. What he said made sense, so we had them do that the next day.

Keep in mind that the cleaning piece was really just so that they could then go in with a camera and identify the actual problem! Needless to say, I was scared to answer the door after they identified the problem, for fear that I was going to be told it would take $20k to fix it.... NO! I was told that there were roots in the line and they cleaned those out and that with yearly cleaning, we will be good for quite a while! They charged us for the cleaning and inspection and that was IT. Amazing.

Taz was professional, responsive, and ethical and we couldn't be happier with their service. We now have a trusted plumber on speed dial!

Super fast response to a couple backed up drains in a house we just moved into. Very friendly and thorough, made sure I knew all about what was going on. Turned out to be a blockage in the sewer main. Had to call in a bit of backup, but made sure I was ok with it schedule-wise and everything. Hydro-pumped all the vents, replaced a wax seal on a toilet, and we were good as new!

Awesome service - I would have no hesitation in calling them again should the need arise!

We found water coming out from backyard pipe. I called service today (Sunday morning). I was very glad that Taz Plumbing responded quickly and was able to send a technician to check the plumbing issue within an hour. After decided to do the hydro water jet and camera, Gee told us he will return with the equipment afternoon. They came back at 1pm, and performed the hydro water jet and ensure the drain is cleaned always to the main sewer line. Afterwards, they showed us the camera and told us the pipe is still in good condition. The work is done. I hope this will take care of the issue.

So now I understand years of my dad's comments about the joys of being a homeowner. Like many homes in SF, ours is nearly 100 years old and the pipes leave something to be desired. After only 6 months, the shower decided to stop draining. At first it wasn't too bad and I was trying some DIY solutions until all of a sudden it was clear it needed to be addressed ASAP.

It was super easy to contact Taz Plumbing with Yelp's Request a Quote feature. Taz replied in 11 minutes (!) with an estimate. Two plumbers came, snaked the drain, and solved the problem in a matter of minutes. The final price was true to the estimate. Super easy, although hopefully not a recurring need!

I chose a few plumbers that had good reviews on Yelp and hit the Request a Quote button with the following message:

Hi,
I'd like your help in getting a quote to unclog a toilet that has been clogged with wood dust (Feline Pine kitty litter). I've tried using a plunger and a toilet auger without success, so I think it's time to bring in a professional.

This isn't an emergency since we have a second bathroom. Please provide me with an estimate and when you think you'd be able to come. I live in Redwood Shores.

Many of the plumbers responded back with their contact information asking me to call them to get a quote. That was disappointing. I figured I'd given them enough info to at least give me price range based what it might take to fix the problem.

However, Taz Plumbing responded back with a price and what they would do be able to do at that price point. I made an appointment and there were no issues. They showed up on time, fixed the problem, made sure everything worked before they left, and cleaned everything up.

Great experience. No issues. Reasonable price. I'd recommend them.

I had an emergency situation and Taz came right out to give me a diagnosis and a firm, reasonable bid.

They didn't have a specialized part ready-to-hand and their distributor was closed--it was a Sunday--so I ended up going with another plumber who thought he could finish the job on that same day. He was wrong, as it turned out.

I've never given a five-star review to a tradesman I didn't use, but Taz was so professional, forthright, and friendly that I'm going to make this a first.

I am in charge of the maintenance department for a local property management company. I typically never leave reviews (positive or negative) of the vendors that I hire but these guys are an exception and deserve the recognition. The level of professionalism that they bring to the table is very hard to find these days.

They understand their trade as well as anyone else that I've ever worked with in the past (I've been in my position for 5+ years), but what separates them from their competition is honesty. If they can do the job for half the price of the competition - they will. If they need to break bad news to you about a pricey repair - they don't mince words and tell it how it is.

Take it from someone who does this for a living, you will not regret hiring these gentlemen.

Sad to give this company 1 star but hired them for multiple jobs on a remodel and for 2/3 I had to have a different plumber from a large company come in to re do their work. First was removing and reinstalling a water heater. Once reinstalled after I paid them a sizable amount there was a strong gas smell. They came back and told me to get a new water heater. A different plumber tightened the hoses that TAZ had installed and hundreds of dollar later the problem was fixed- but could have been avoided if they had simply tightened the hoses. Second was installing a new sink which they did incorrectly. The plumber who came after them merely used the correct parts and the sink worked great. I asked them for a refund for what I had paid the plumber who fixed their work and they never responded. Their prices are reasonable but it's just not worth it if their work has to be corrected.

My toilet was clogged and the water (and other gunk) was coming up my bathtub, yuck! I sent out inquiries to 5 different plumbers, Jeebes from Taz was the first one to respond.

Jeebes gave me a 1-hour arrival window and showed up on time. He was professional, nice, honest and efficient. After snaking our toilet, he suggested we do Hydro Jetting because there was a ton of sludge in our pipes. We were reluctant since hydro jetting isn't cheap and we had this service twice before and figured, it didn't work the first 2x, why would it work now? Come to find out, we needed to clean the area between the house and clean out, not just the plumbing that goes into the city sewer. I'm so mad the previous 2 plumbers we used never suggested this!

Jeebes came back the next day with the hydro jet and cleared out all the gunk by jetting from the toilet out. The was a ton of gunk!

I will definitely call Jeebes again for future plumbing issues (hopefully there won't be any for a while).

We had a problem of low flow with our bathroom faucet. The faucet itself was a discontinued product, and a very expensive high end one too. It matched all the other fixtures and would have been hat d to replace. Jeebz was very confident of where the problem lay, and with meticulous care and confidence removed the aerator and cleaned it out. No damage to the finish; problem solved! May sound simple, i tried really hard to remove the aerator trim cap for days and it seemed welded on. Amazing what a difference experience makes. Worth every penny, and very reasonable at that.

Quoted a reasonable rate for bathroom faucet replacement and when 2 guys arrived, not sure why 2 guys are needed to replace a faucet, almost doubled the quote because 'the original quote did not include installing the drain' that came with the faucet. Don't even know how can the old drain work with the new faucet.

TAZ Plumbing is a company based in San Leandro, CA. It's service area is the central East Bay area. I found this company using Yelp Projects. I had a dripping shower head, and decided it had to be fixed after I saw my latest EBMUD water usage report. I setup my service request on Yelp, and Taz was the very first response. Thru direct messages, we agreed on a Saturday appt. The tech showed up on-time in an unmarked truck, and politely introduced himself. The tech inspected the problem, and gave me an estimate of $375. But the part was hard to find, and he had to wait for a parts house to open on Monday.

On Monday, I had a 9-10am appt window, and a different tech arrived at 1030am. He also surveyed the problem, and went to get parts. But he told me if the parts aren't available, I might have to upgrade the inverter. That might cost up to $1800. Luckily, he got the right part and the problem was fixed. He suggested I upgrade my shower head and hoses.

An issue came up with method of payment. The Yelp listing says accepts credit cards. On August 14, 2023, the tech said they don't accept credit cards (CC). Why? He said the CC machine was stolen, and they can't process cards. He said they accept cash, check, and various forms of electronic payment. Okay, so I had to write a check. While I was writing the check, the tech joked that he likes his tips in cash. Okay, I have tipped someone who installed a water heater, and I have tipped a plumber who spent hours clearing my pipes. Some refuse the tips. But I'm not going to offer a tip to someone who asks for a tip.

Would I use this service again? Yes, but I would ask if they accept credit cards. If not, and it's a major job, I might use another plumbing service.

Our pipes backed up early Friday morning so we sent requests for service to different places. Taz Plumbing was quick to respond and dispatch a tech and came within the hour. He suggested snaking the pipes first, but when that didn't work he suggested hydro jetting. This worked out well and soon after, he showed us live footage of our pipes and location of the blockage. Recommendations were provided for long term solutions. The service went well and everything was cleaned up. We did notice a flushing difference in one toilet and reached out to address the issue. The tech came right away to fix the issue and everything is back to normal. Thank you Taz Plumbing!

I had a shower issue and I requested a quote from Yelp. The company that I intended on using never really responded. Taz on the other hand responded quickly and came by for a free estimate. He was able to figure out the problem, buy the replacement part and resolve my issue in a short amount of time. I must also state that the price was fair. Last night IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WARRIORS' GAME, I call. They told me they would be there in 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. They showed up in about 50 minutes (at halftime, I am sure it was a coincidence), and unclogged the toilet in about 5 minutes. The cost was exactly as they had told me. Good for this local business. I have found a new plumber.

Really solid experience. After I requested a quote, Taz responded in minutes and we were able to set up an appointment for the next day. Mike came over during the specified window and was super professional and kind. During COVID, I appreciated that he wore gloves and had two masks. He was able to cap the gas line to my stove (I replaced a gas stove with an electric one) and in a very safe and competent manner. Wonderful piece of mind to not have to worry about gas (or a gas leak). Really recommend Taz Plumbing. Really responsive a fair price and a friendly, great technician!

Toilet was clogged due to the fact that children toss a lego into the toilet. Called Taz Plumbing and they are able to come over within couple of hours and unclogged it. Very responsive and price was reasonable.
