Best Plumber in OC!! I have called South County Plumbing many times for different issues and ALWAYS get honest, great service, expert advice, and so professional. Last night, my daughter accidently dropped a necklace down the drain. I called and Rob the owner answered and the next morning was able to retrieve the necklace. Last year we had a more serious problem, my water heater broke and started leaking. They immediately came out and replaced my water heater that same day. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing issues.

My water heater broke. I took a cold shower and left to work. I got home at 4pm on a Friday and was stressed I wouldn't get it fixed before everyone closed for the weekend. I called and they got to my house in like 15 minutes and were done in like 20 minutes. Great receptionist. Great Plumber. Water Heater fixed. Now I have hot showers again and all is right with the world.

I can't say enough good things about Moses , we had a flood in our home.
A pipe burst in out apartment, but luckily we called South County plumbing and Moises professionally took care of it. Totally worth the cost would definitely would recommend Moses and South County Plumbing again.

I had a stubborn stopped up sink that my snake and Draino just couldn't seem to budge. Caprice helped to get somebody out right away. I called and spoke with Steve yesterday after 3pm, he quoted me a price for fixing a corroded water valve to the dishwasher and then got me scheduled for this morning at 8:30am. Not only was he exactly on time, he was friendly, understanding, wasn't terrified of our pooch, and fixed the valve within 30 minutes start to finish within the quote (which was less than what the internet said it should average!) Steve then told us a couple tips to have ready to make sure the next time they come out to install the new dishwasher, the appliance store installers (who we already paid for and found the valve) couldn't stall for the third time. Love Steve! Love South County Plumbing!!

I had a plumbing emergency on Thanksgiving. I was hosting and was going to have lots of people over. We had a pin hole leak in the attic that was coming through the fan in our bathroom. He not only came over within the hour, but he took pity on us and charged us the regular rate instead of double time holiday rate. They were able to show us pictures and even emailed them with the invoice. We have found a new plumber!!!

Unfortunately, unlike the other reviews, we have not had a good experience with South County Plumbing. We have a condo unit that was experiencing flooding when the upstairs neighbor did their laundry. When the plumber came to detect the leak he misdiagnosed it for laundry valves needing to be replaced, even though flooding had occurred while he was there. While we were getting a second opinion on diagnosis and estimate, a flood occurred in the same area. They were contacted again this time to snake the drain. This solved the problem. Since it was a common drain between our unit and my neighbors unit, the HOA paid for the snaked drain.

After describing the problem to 2 other plumbers over the phone they both immediately said the first thing they would do is snake the drain.

Unfortunately, South County Plumbing communicated to our HOA that we did not pay them the bill for Leak Detection. Never had they sent us a bill for Leak Detection. Nor did they ever communicate to us that there would be a charge for leak detection since our wall was already open for common area problem they were currently working. It was interesting that they were charging us the same cost for Leak Detection that they had originally quoted us for Laundry Valve replacement. It appeared to us that they were dissatisfied they did not receive the business and were just finding another avenue to get paid.

We did not find them honest or competent.

If I was a homeowner, beware when this company is your HOA's plumber. They have experience with HOA's and they know how to manipulate the system to work to their advantage. I am surprised they have so many positive reviews, and I am the only one reporting this experience.

We were looking for a water softener installation service. Josh came and he was amazing! He was honest and told me that the softener I got from Costco was not cost effective with replacement filters/ cost of installation. He gave me the information of the water softener company that South County Plumbing could get or we could get directly. He was no pressure and super honest. I did my research and went with them after a couple weeks. They were incredible!!! Polite, punctual, and cleaned up/explained the system to my husband and myself. To top it off, they came back and painted the pipe to match the exterior of our house with no cost and with a smile! Thank you!

I have to sing South County Plumbing's praises. Rob and his assistant, Mike, came to our home yesterday to address a number of issues. They were professional, educational, and courteous in performing the necessary services. They were also careful to do the work right the first time and protect the surrounding areas of our home. This was our 2nd time using SCP, and just like the last time, they were great. From calling and scheduling the appointment (which included a quote) to them arriving and fixing my issue everything was great. Moses and Craig were personable, and professional and fixed our issue quickly. They were very conscientious about protecting our floors and cleaned up everything after they were done. They also helped me with a second minor issue, which will allow me to fix it myself in the future. I use SCP because they are nice, helpful and have always fixed my issues without any problems.

WOW just had to say that. I had a pin hole leak. I called and they told me the prices on the phone way cheaper then the last guy that came out. Not only did he fix the pin hole leak I had him fixe two other issue ( back yard water shutoff value & sink that was not working) and he had no problem with these. If I need again this is the company I will call first.

Can't fault these guys. This was a difficult job to fix a cut drain behind a outdoor fireplace that some previous joke of a contractor could not be bothered to do properly. Rob and the guys did a great job of fixing the drain and reroute the gas and electric pipes and made it all legal. Not a cheap job and one that any plumbing contractor would want to to avoid if possible. South County saw this as a challenge and got it done and no hassle and knocked off $100 when he finished the job. Great Service.

Late last night (Saturday) our downstairs bathtub started filling up with black water...then the toilet started to spill over a bit! We just bought our home and we were freaking out. Thankfully the water stopped on its own, but not without spilling all over the bathroom floor.

I woke up the next morning (Sunday) and called South County Plumbing at 7:01am. Jason answered and I tried to explain what happened the night before. He said he could be at my house in about an hour! I was so thankful. He came and assessed the problem (he checked each bathroom, each sink, and our laundry). He showed me how our main drain leading out to the street was clogged. He used a machine that unclogged it. He then took the time to wash out and even clean my downstairs tub! He also drew me a diagram of my plumbing system so I could understand what happened and so that in the future if I experienced a problem I'd have a better understanding of what might be the issue.

Jason was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

I will only call SCP for my home going forward.

VERY DISAPPOINTED in this company and the communication I've had to endure with them. A month ago, I woke up to hot water pouring from my bathroom ceiling. We live in a condo with an HOA association so we turned off the hot water so that water wouldn't continue to pour from our AC unit and gave our HOA a call. They reached out to South County Plumbing to come fix it. South County sent two techs out who arrived at 7:30 am. They looked at the vent opening in the bathroom and our hydro current AC unit and looked at the leak by turning the hot water on to watch it pour down from the AC unit. They said they couldn't see it clearly enough so they cut a 13 by 14 hole in my ceiling (see photo) even though I told them where the access panel was for them to get up there and see it. When they were done cutting the hole in my ceiling, they looked at it and said yeah we don't do this you have to call someone else and left. I didn't sign anything and they gave no estimate. So I had to call another plumber company that knew how to look at the unit and had experience with it and he was actually able to fix it. They were gone by 8am. Cut to a couple weeks later and I received a bill through South County Plumbing through my HOA that they were charging me $425 for what they did. Four hundred dollars. For them to tell me that I had to call someone else. When I called, I spoke to a receptionist who was quite rude who told me they came for a leak detection so they did their job. Oh really? They detected the water that was pouring from the ceiling in buckets? They didn't even tell me where it was coming from- they gave a general answer that it was somewhere with the AC, which we already knew, and left me with a hole in my ceiling. For $400. When the manager called me back he left a message and said it was $425 because that's the minimum price for an after hours call because he had to pay his men after hours on call pricing pretty sure you're not paying them $200 at a half hour each. It was 7:30. Not 2 in the morning. He basically said he refused to work with me. I called him back A little over a week later because I was in the hospital for complications at 7 months pregnant, left a message with the receptionist if he could give me a call back who again was not very nice. I've waited over a week - He never bothered to return my phone call. I've had to go to my HOA to let them know what was happening and ask them to attempt to contact them as well.

I am a business owner in Lake Forest and i do not treat clients this way. The fact that they've basically charged me an outrageous price for nothing done but a non functioning oh so stylish hole in my ceiling and then was rude about it when I tried to communicate with them and then wouldn't bother to call me at all is a reflection of poor business practices. You best believe I will be talking about my poor experience with them to anyone looking for a plumber in Lake Forest and in my community Facebook groups so other people are not ridiculously charged for a lack of help.

We had an unfortunate experience today with Cory. When you call this company, ask if they do free estimates in person. Sure they may tell you numbers over the phone...but do not trust them. Do not make the mistake of letting them start work without getting and approving the quoted price. My bad on that. Make sure they have all the parts on the truck, because in my experience today, they are not fully stocked with parts for repairs which adds to your time.

If your job has to do with a new dishwasher, make sure the tech knows how to install it so it's installed instead of having to call another repair company after paying $1000. And good gosh, when you say you can complete a job, complete it! An additional hour at $199 to read a manual isn't going to cut it. I would not recommend this company. Unless you are willing to pay extremely overpriced costs...

Wow, where to start with this over priced company. Our property management place (Accell Property managers) uses them and I had to use them once a few years ago. Found out later from others/neighbors that always call another plumber because South County is over priced and really bilks the timeframe of job. I guess that's why they seem so expensive. Now that our common area has a problem, which of course the property managers aren't around to oversee the job, it's taken them 3 hours to handle a leak. What really is annoying is they didn't bother to post any signs saying the water was shut off. Lastly, the two guys I spoke with didn't seem to understand why posting a sign was important and patronizing me because I complained to them. After Accell they didn't do anything either. I see why these two companies do business with the other.

I have known Rob as a neighbor and friend in excess of 15 years. I have a son with severe special needs who requires that all of our utilities work full time. Every time I have needed work, Rob or his employees response is way above par. I know he holds his employees to the highest standards, and everyone I have met in his company holds those high standards. we recently had an emergency and Rob was out the next morning. I am looking at some of these one star comments and don't get it. However I will say if you're not satisfied, Rob will make it right. He may charge a bit more than an independent plumber but the money is worth it. Honest wages for Honest work. You cannot put a price on that.

Lucky for me, these guys are in my industrial complex. To be 100% honest, I HAD NO CLUE!

Anyhow, spoke to Rob personally, after hours (6pm or so), yet, he still sent Nick over to have a look. Nick came over, assessed the problem, and we made an appt for this morning at 10am.

10am sharp and Nick is knocking on my door, ready to take care of the problem.

Nick was professional, and the final cost of the job, which we all hate no matter what the cost is, was very fair.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!! Called South County Plumbing to fix my gas flex line for my stove. They were able to get a plumber here very quickly and he was incredibly helpful. He helped to get an appliance company here to move my mounted stove so he could fix my problem. Truly an above and beyond company! And even with the unexpected additional need for the appliance company, they were able to stay within the VERY reasonable quote that I was given originally. Customer satisfaction is clearly the #1 goal of this family-owned, community-based company. I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs!!!

I had a mainline blockage on a Friday night at 9:30 pm and I needed a plumber immediately. I called South County Plumbing and they picked up right away. The professional response to my plight was very reassuring, and Rob indicated he would be at my house in 30 minute. When he arrived, he set out to fix the issue and quickly solved any problems that arose (including a rusty main trap lid). His professional and friendly demeanor was very pleasant and made the bad situation much better. I will call South Coast Plumbing again and I would highly recommend them for home repairs.

Over the weekend my sewer backed up into my downstairs bathroom. What a mess. So no showers cleaning dishes etc. stressed out about the situation I called South County Plumbing and they scheduled me for Tuesday but if an opening came up they would call. Josh became available in a few hours. He came over and accessed the situation. He was quick actually had to wait on me . He was great I have a problem with people trying to sell me stuff I don't need and Josh was not this guy, I am unemployed at this time so he helped me understand what needs to be done with my 50+ clean out that is rotting away. Called in to get my dyer hooked up to my gas line. Gas line has a different size from what the dyer had. They were at my house within a hour of calling them.
Honestly it was a bit pricey. $175 for a 15 min job but I don't want to mess with gas lines. But service was amazing

It is past 11 pm tonight as I write this review...

Long story short...my husband and I bought a home that we closed on three days ago that had been empty for several years...suddenly last night we were getting sewage flooding into our house into the bottom floor (which is kind of a basement level but my daughters bedroom). 24 hours later and after dealing with another plumbing company that I won't mention but did really drop the ball for us as the flooding got worse (Friday night on labor day weekend they just never showed back up as we had 6 inches of sewage water and more coming in all over lower level)...we got referred to South County Plumbing and Josh comes to my door and takes over the emergency...and it was an emergency...not only was he kind and courteous and completely understanding how horrified I was at the disaster but he handled it unbelievably fast which made me realize that the other plumbing company that had been out earlier but did nothing could have as well. He knew exactly where to look and what to do immediately and because of him, the other company that mitigates and cleans up the damage was able to start to clean and dry up the mess (I'm reviewing them next). I could not be more grateful! There are plenty of companies that say 24 hour emergency service but THIS one came through and honestly the price was more than fair...This is my go-to plumbing company from now on...when you find a company like this you become a loyal customer and they more than earned one tonight...thank you thank you thank you!!! If the first company I called last night had done the same, we'd be looking at replacing the floor...now we are replacing the floor, the washer and dryer, the drywall, the closet, the drywall, the entire downstairs bathroom, the hallway flooring, the mattress on my daughters bed and all of the rest of the contents of that room...I wish I had called South County Plumbing first! Lesson learned...call these guys first!!! Josh fixed in 10 minutes what the other company walked away from 10 hours ago!

My house became a plumbing Disaster out of the blue

Luckily- The team at south county came right away and had a ton of work to do. Blockage but where ??

Amazing - this company answers phones. Calls back. Makes a plan. Sticks to it. Follows up
And cares about service and problem solving when you need help.

On my complex problem-they required a camera - that arrived promptly with more experts with it. As a team they solved a very hard to spot problem that took experience and know how.

It was clear their experience and effort came to bear.

They fixed a very very tricky blockage.
They followed up all the way making sure all was well

Corey worked so hard and really was relentless in his effort to repair my leak. He didn't give up when I am sure others would have shrugged.
so a shout out to corey and his tenacity and know how and work ethic to get things right. Thank you

The camera team was incredible.
Billy is an experienced pro. And seen it all
A guy who arrives cool, calm, and with the finesse of a fighter pilot.
I call him top plumb with the respect of his years of knowledge and calm in the face of water water and more water.

And owner Rob returns my frantic calls quickly and kindly and reassured me they would solve this.

Remember this ---You pay for wisdom and experience and knowledge
So that's ok by me.

Getting a pro like these guys is a great way to go if you're in a jam. Repeat -- get a pro like the soco team if you need legit help.

As an aside - I told the team they belong as reality show stars. They are kind, funny, great at dealing with people in a state of plumbing panic and very very very competent at their job.

I am glad I got to know them now personally and professionally and highly recommend them to you.

Taking advantage of customers. I never write reviews but this really bothered me. I was told I was incurring a $195 fee plus parts for a quick toilet job (we already had the part) and 15 minute shower fix (Hans Grohe mixer cartridge replacement needed). Cory was here maybe 30 minutes. Snapping toilet handle in was a two minute job but he showed up knowing (we didn't know) that they didn't have the Hans Grohe part to fix the shower so they would have to order it and make a second trip.... They have other brands on the truck but not Hans Grohe and we had told them before it was Hans Grohe. Once on sight, Cory told us he would come back to finish the shower since they didn't have the part. So I paid $200 for the call and expected another bill just for the shower part. Now they want an additional $300 for 10-15 minutes to return to put the shower part in. $500 total for one part and two trips. All they needed was a photo of the shower part to pre-order before the first trip like other plumber asked with same problem. When I called to try resolve it, first Steve offered no solution. Then the owner Rob called later and gave me a bunch of manspeak and made no suggestion to make it right. I was really nice. I told him that I appreciate people need to be paid for their time but not when they intentionally double their time to double charge customers. He called me mam dismissively, the whole bit. The speech was heard by another person in my kitchen. I paid $200 and the problem wasn't fixed at all. They never made any suggestion to resolve. I offered to Cory or Steve that we would wait until they were servicing another home in the neighborhood and do a quick stop to finish their job so time, gas etc not incurred. Cory was polite but the owner Rob refused and left me offended and really disappointed and feeling taken advantage of. Apparently they are making so much on slab leak calls that they don't need to treat smaller customers fairly. So I'm out $200 and at ground zero.

As always, South County Plumbing has come through once again. I thought I needed a new disposal, he found that the current disposal was just jammed by a small bb of all things. He had it running in no time at the cost of a service call. He could have easily charged me for a new disposal, but once again, their honesty saved me hundreds of dollars. Best service in town!

CALL THIS COMPANY FIRST. Whatever you issue is this company will figure it out. We had a slab leak on a Sunday the ONLY company who came out to fix it! This morning at 12:45am our AC unit started to leak, we called 8 AC company's no one picked up. 2am we called South County Plumbing, Shawn was at our door at 2:45. I usually only write reviews if the company service was either unbelievably fantastic or incredibly bad. So County Plumbing was fantastic. I phoned to ask about a leak under my sink due to the drain pipes being either slightly cracked or attached incorrectly. I phoned to ask him how much it would be (ballpark) to attach the drain pipes correctly as I already had the material. He provided a quote over the phone and charged me exactly what he said. Woke up to leak in our ceiling and walls were bubbled. Called Fidelity Home Warranty for assistance and they were of no help. Went on our own and found South County Plumbing had good reviews. Moses responded and was amazing. He located the leak and had it fixed quickly. Moses was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and clean. Needed to finish up some plumbing issues once a complete dry-out & various drywall replacements under our kitchen sink were done.

Rob (the owner) of 'SCP' was GREAT!! Came out after hours last night to check what was needed, as we still had some leaks in various areas under that sink. As promised, he called 1st thing this morning to schedule a time. He was prompt, and ready to tackle the problems.

He not only did an AMAZING job, but he also ended up repairing a few more problems that he came across. Had he not checked those & showed us that those too were leaking... We'd be back to square one. OMG, can't even imagine that!

Having a busy night with the kids and I could hear a faint hissing in the wall. No Bueno! Much to my dismay we had a second pinhole leak in 3 months. All of this is occurring after hours of course, unable to reach home warranty company I needed to take action quickly. To my luck, found South County Plumbing and they arrived 30 minutes after my call. Rob responded and was very courteous and professional. Upon entering my home, he laid out plastic and put on shoe covers. He finished the initial repair quickly without unnecessary drywall damage. While inspecting his work prior to leaving, he noticed another leak likely caused by previous home warranty repair we had months ago and promptly fixed it. Price for the repair was not substantially more than my home warranty and the quality of the work was superior. Definitely will use and recommend Rob and South County Plumbing in the future.

Great experience from start to finish. Originally spoke with a guy that gave me a quote to unstop my kitchen sink. Once I agreed and wanted to schedule an appointment I was transferred to a friendly woman who was nice and helpful. Technician was on time and friendly. Cleaned up after himself. Our water heater needed a new pressure relieve valve since it started a steady drip and I was not in a mood to replace it myself.

After checking reviews on local Plumbers, I decided to call South County Plumbing. The receptionist answered the call immediately that alone was a miracle. I explained that it wasn't a full blown emergency but explained exactly what was needed. Susan called back and said, they could schedule a visit by a technician to take a look at it. - WOW -

It must have been our lucky day to hit the Jackpot with Ismael. We discussed the procedure and he gave me the price. I thought it was very fair, knowing what was involved.

Ismael did exactly what I asked for and did not to try to BS me along the way. The added bonus, not only was Ismael very efficient, precise and knew exactly what he was doing, (yet another miracle) but his cheerful attitude was just priceless.

Needless to say, I recommend South County Plumbing and will call upon them for further Plumbing needs.

The person that came to fix my water leaking issue (when the dish washer runs) wanted to sell me a airgap. After changing the airgap the water still kept leaking. Then he discovered the clogged line that was entering the garbage disposal. After unclogging the thick pipe it was all good. Very disappointed in the service.

Had the dreaded sewer line backup late this afternoon. Called four plumbing companies and SCP. SCP stated they could respond within the hour . . . Wow! This is great customer service!!

Cory showed up 4:00 pm and evaluated the problem and ran the snake up and out a few times and cleared the drain line . . . phew! Cory was pretty cool, very professional and got the job done.

We have used SCP in the past and would highly recommend to my neighbors in Mission Viejo.

Today was the worse experience ever. This guy Body, clearly wasn't happy to come on a Sunday! When I called, I was very clear that I needed a pipe to be replaced today. I told him that I work during business hours and could not wait for this any longer. After he showed up, told me that he had another emergency job and I need to call and schedule during business hours. Seriously!!! What part of our conversation didn't you understand? After paying $225 for his 2 minutes leak detection which I knew already, I'm back to square one.
BIG SCAM!!! I will never use this company again. Very disappointed!!

Discovered a leak on a Saturday! Called South County Plumbing based on local recommendations and their Yelp review! We were not disappointed! Evan was more than willing to come out immediately on Saturday but based on the assessment over the phone convinced me it probably didn't warrant the extra OT charges to come on the weekend. Moses arrived Monday morning, quickly assessed where the leak was coming from and repaired the issue! Even took some extra time to fix the seal on a toilet that was unrelated to the issue we called about! We felt South County Plumbing was professional, knowledgeable, and pricing was very competitive. Billy came out for my clogged toilet. I thought it was a shared plumbing issue, possibly going 30 feet down, but couldn't verify it. He informed me it could be around $1200 to unclog the pipes. For a knock on the door and conversation they charged $225 with nothing being unclogged. No one told me upfront what the fee would be just for the visit. Complete ripoff! I went with another plumber who fixed the issue for $220 total!

When I called about the lack of transparency after I found out about the bill, Steve said they tell every customer upfront what the fees would be. So not true! I made it clear that I would never have had them come out if I knew they charged $225 for nothing. He hung up on me.

Excellent plumbing company! I have used South County Plumbing for multiple plumbing projects in my home. Their plumber Billy has done most of the plumbing in my home. Due to the high quality of his work, his detail to the smallest problems, and his being punctual and on time, I request only Billy to work in my home. Not only is he a great plumber, he is also fun, personable, and knowledgeable.....all great qualities! Billy has replaced 3 toilets, 3 faucets, installed and hooked-up a new sink & garage disposal, replaced water valves and lines, plus all my plumbing projects had complications from previous plumbing companies installing things incorrectly, Billy fixed all the previous issues from the other plumbing companies, installed the different fixtures, made sure everything worked correctly, cleaned up the job site, and finished in a timely manner. Scary news for any out of area Landlord-my Downstairs Tenant notified me at 7pm Friday July 3rd that we had a water leak coming from the Upper Unit above. No one was able to come out that evening, especially before a long holiday weekend. It took 10 different phone calls to plumbers before I reached Rob (at South County), who recognized I had a very urgent situation and he was willing to make an after hour call visit. I am truly thankful for Rob's above and beyond professional service to quickly stop the leak, provide detailed advice as to the next steps necessary to repair the water damage, and refer professional contractors to aid in my absence, since I live out of the area. I have added Rob/South County to my favorites for contractors to use.

Both of our toilets and our shower were clogged. It was 7:00 pm, and we were facing 12+ hours - overnight! - with no working toilet in the house.

Rob cleared the clogs, and then charged us less than his estimate because he said the clogs were fairly easy to clear. When is the last time you had anyone come in under estimate - especially when the work is performed after hours?

One of the best parts of the service call was Rob's paperless paperwork. He input my invoice into his iPad, and then emailed me a receipt - from my living room. It's great not to have another piece of paper to file, but still have a record of the work done.

We really appreciate the great work Rob did, coupled with his caring and attentive demeanor. It's very reassuring to have a trusted and gifted plumber to call when the inevitable clog or leak crops up.

We've used South County Plumbing for many years, and we will always do so. Here's our most recent experience. We asked them to install a new high-end toilet in our master bath; they came out the next morning and did so. But that night I heard the tank periodically refilling, just for a few seconds at a time (just like the sound in old toilets when the flapper goes bad). I called South County in the morning, and within a half hour a plumber came to look at it. He diagnosed a problem with a gasket and reset it in place, but later that day I realized the tank was still periodically refilling. I called again, and first thing the following morning a plumber arrived and replaced the gasket, but then realized that actually didn't solve the problem, so he left and brought back another completely new tank. It's now working beautifully. The original, brand-new toilet was defective, but South County Plumbing persevered, making 3 trips to our house to solve the problem (at no extra charge to us). I'm sure there are other companies that would have found a way to blame us for the problem, or to ignore our complaints, or to charge us for the extra trips. South County did none of those things -- they simply fixed the problem in a professional and ethical manner.

They STILL answer their phone immediately & showed up within the hour! There is an extra charge on weekends, but that's to be expected for coming to the rescue when most plumbers are either closed or don't answer calls. These guys are pros..my job was challenging, but they stuck with it till my line was unstuck. Nothing is better than a can-do attitude. South County Plumbing is the BEST!!!! They have earned their 5-star rating and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality plumber.

We had an issue where the supply line for one our upstairs toilets was leaking. Once we discovered that the previous homeowners did some custom work that was beyond our capabilities, so we made a non-emergency maintenance appointment with the guys at South County Plumbing.

Our tech, Jeremy arrived on-time, and did a great job resolving the problem. While he was here we also had him take a quick look at a cheap hose in the backyard that had fused onto the water valve - and sure enough he was able to deal with that quickly as well.

I'll definitely be calling these guys in the future for future issues.

My upstairs toilet was plugged and was causing water to rain from the ceiling in my kitchen. It doesn't matter what time you call SCP always answers your phone call. I called this morning at 7:15 , I've called at 9:30 at night. Jason & Moses came to my home this morning. Jason assessed the situation explained what caused the problem and got to work.

I contacted South County Plumbing on Monday requesting service on replacing a single unit swivel kitchen faucet that was leaking. I also wanted to replace a shower spout and diverter. I spoke with Rob who took all of the information, sent photos to him, and then proceeded to purchase a new kitchen faucet. Rob also mentioned the possible need to replace the Angle Stops due to age of the units. Rob was readily accessible via text and phone and we communicated throughout the process prior to setting up the service call.

The office contacted me and setup an 8:30 AM appointment Tuesday morning. Sean arrived promptly at 8:30! What would have been a simple faucet replacement turned into a long process where Sean ran into all kinds of issues, such as not very accessible due to the double sink, the Angle Stop being behind the large garbage disposal and ultimately the water cut off valve not working. Sean turned the water off at the street.

I was pleased with Sean's perseverance and after many hours he was able to complete the new faucet installation, as well as install an new Angle Stop on the water shout-off valve.

Sean answered many questions that my wife had regarding other items and if we require future service, we will definitely be contacting South County Plumbing.

Cory came at 8pm at night on a holiday weekend to unclog a kitchen sink drain for us. He was all smiles and really professional. About 20 minutes into the job I thought the drain was unclogged and he said it wasn't fixed yet. He worked on the drain until he was certain the clog in my drain was entirely removed. I was really pleased with the service we received from South County Plumbing. Who wants to have to call a plumber? Really? It's pretty much always a pain because if you have to call it means you're having to spend money that you didnt plan on, but tgey made it as painless as possible. South County was great to work with - both the lovely young lady on the phone as well as thr actual plumber who came out.

If you call out-of-hours there is a $225 extra cost over everything else. However, if your situation is non-emergent and you can wait until business hours they're really good about trying to get you scheduled. Their regular service call is $135 and that is deducted from the cost of any repair expenses.

I just wish to start by saying that I do not write reviews unless the service I receive is really great or really bad. I wish to say that Moses from South County Plumbing provided excellent service. He arrived on time and immediately went to work to fix a leak I had underneath my sink. I actually would have been able to fix it myself but it would have taken me hours and hours and I don't have the tools or the patience to do what he did to repair the leak in about an hour. I was impressed with his honesty and extremely reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is in need of plumbing repairs. I will definitely use him myself in the future if I have any plumbing problems.

I called South County Plumbing on a Saturday night for a leak we found in the garage. They were one of the few open at the time. They were at my door less than an hour later. Great pro. Con...he came out and diagnosed that it was the air conditioning that was leaking and not plumbing. I was charged $202 for this. He referred me to an air conditioning guy. My husband wasn't convinced so we turned off the water for the night to see if it was still leaking. It stopped. We called the company again the next day and they said they would come back...they did and found we had a hot water slab leak. Why couldn't we have found that the night before?!? Anyways, he then said someone would come the next day to cap the leak. Why couldn't he have done it then? I don't know. They came the next day (2 days after the initial call) to isolate the leak and cap the line effected. Leak was found and line was capped. I was charged another $275 for this. So my tally now is $477 just for a capped line. Then they quoted me $1450 for them to reroute the line in order to get hot water back. I was shell shocked. I called a few other companies and got quoted for the work and was given much much lower estimates, less than half the price in one case.

I'm sorry but I'm just not happy with paying $202 for a misdiagnoses that ended up being a slab leak. At least the second visit was efficient and I don't mind paying for that since they found the problem and gave us a temporary quick fix.

Pro: response time; isolation and capping the line was done fast and efficiently.

Con: initial misdiagnosed a slap leak with an air conditioning leak; price was high and for me not justified

He also recommended NOT doing a couple other things because they would be very costly and not immediately necessary. It was nice not to get upsold into work that wasn't a necessity. My water heater died on Saturday. I called Mike and he said he he was busy (a good sign that he has a lot of business), but could come out on Sunday afternoon. His early Sunday jobs finished up early, so he called me and asked if he could come Sunday morning, which was great timing for me (I wanted to take a hot shower!). He didn't have access to his water heater supplier on the weekend, so I purchased one online from Home Depot, and Mike picked it up and brought it to my house for install. It was a large heater, so he had his colleague Shaun come to help with the install. They were both very courteous, including being nice to my curious kids, and got the job done very quickly. They of course had all necessary additional parts to complete the install. I would recommend them.

SCAM ARTISTS! South County plumbing just scammed me by installing a water heater at my rental property without my permission. They quoted me a price over the phone of $2,200 to replace a water heater which I balked at....There were 2 guys who literally sounded drunk spouting off all sorts of prices over speaker phone. When I called back to tell them to just charge me for basic service call, they claimed that my tenant authorized the work and they were done with the repair. Total scam ambulance chaser operation; in 30 years of being a landlord have never had this happen. Posting to as many sites as I can. AVOID SOUTH COUNTY PLUMBING!!!!

Steve and Mike came out to clear a blocked sewer drain. Several neighbors have used them and my turn to make the dreaded call. They were prompt, friendly, CLEAN, and quickly cleared the problem. QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the kicker moved some furniture for me and chased 3 wasps out of my house also! Refused any extra $. I will never use any other plumbing company and will stop by to just say hi to them when I see them in the neighborhood. Which will be often as the neighborhood is older. Where do I begin ?
I'm an insurance agent So I have dealt with plumbers before and in this particular situation it was a plumbing problem in my home with my shower I called a plumber that we use from time to time with the insurance company that I work for they came out and I was quoted $950 after much heavy thinking about how in the world could something so simple cost $950 I contacted South County plumbing I had seen them in my complex before they are used by my association they quoted me $250 and did the work in a quarter of the time.

Was quoted $1,600 to hydro jet my pipes from another plumber and was also told my that my pipes were extremely narrow and it could cost up to 9k to completely repair.

Luckily my wife is smarter than I am and told me to call around. I got through to South County Plumbing and they came out same day, explained all the possible scenarios but wanted to go with the basic snaking the pipe even though the previous plumber tried already. Rob was super helpful and informative and Steve was on time and able to clear the pipe.

The plumber I intended to use for my plumbing project wasn't available. So I looked for a local plumbing company with lots of 5 star yelp reviews and called South County Plumbing. I'm so glad I did! Rob indicated that he could send someone out today even though I barely called around 1pm. I just had a vanity and countertop installed this morning and needed someone to hook up the water supply and faucet. After explaining the situation, Rob asked me to find out if the glue that they used was quick drying-- otherwise he said we should wait 24 hours to do the plumbing. I really appreciate this type of attention to detail because it shows a true customer focus mentality that I didn't get from the company that just installed my vanity and countertop. Once I confirmed that it was ok to proceed, his partner (Steve?) called me back to say that Gus would be arriving in 15 minutes. Right on the dot, Gus was here and assessed the situation. He suggested that we buy a couple of parts at Home Depot to replace the somewhat corroded ones we planned to reuse, while he started working on connecting the faucet. It turns out that the angle of the drain pipe and P trap changed (not sure if I'm explaining this correctly). Gus had his brother Moe come with the new part needed for this adjustment. What I loved is that Gus communicated what was going on and took care of this automatically, thereby relieving me of any worry or concern. He also stuck with the price quoted over the phone by Rob, even though these extra issues arose. They use an iPad to send their receipts. I can only gush about this company and the outstanding customer service mentality displayed by everyone I dealt with, but especially Gus and Moe. I hope I don't need a plumber anytime soon, but if I do, I'll be calling on them again.

This is long over due but here it goes - I used South County Plumbing for my rental last year for a leaking toilet, re-seating the toilet and raising the flange. Job was completed on time and over the weekend. But, couple months later the same leak happened again and I had to pay twice the amount to get it repaired along with paying for personal property damages for renter's belongings. This really left me unsatisfied with the services and I reached out to the business to speak to them about it. I received a call back from Rob who is the owner of the company and after explaining to him the the situation he promised to get back to me soon. Few weeks later I got a call back from Rob (owner) and Steve (manager) to resolve the issue. Both are super genuine guys and we were able to meet half way to resolve the issue. Although the transaction went rocky at first, both Rob and Steve were able to resolve the dispute and turn one unhappy customer into a somewhat happy customer. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in future. Thank you Rob and Steve!

We had our toilets and showers backing up with toilet water/waste that eventually led to overflow onto the floors, when I contacted South County Plumbing Josh confirmed that he would be here in 1.5hours and he did exactly that. OC.....these guys are the ones to call with any plumbing issue! I had a branch clog, which we discovered over the weekend. I called and Yelped companies for quotes on Sunday to set something up for Monday. I had someone get right back to me and we set up an appt for Monday morning.

They showed up about 10ish, they discovered they didn't have a long enough snake, so went out and got a 100' snake which didn't fix the issue. I was told at that point that hydro jetting was my next step and that their guy would be back at 2pm to take care of that for me. 5pm came along and I hadn't heard anything so I called and got no answer, but received a text that they hadn't heard back from their guy but would let me know as soon as they did. So at 9pm I decide to find someone else to come out (company #2), found someone that agreed to come out by 11 the next morning. Mike came out and send sorry but my tools are not long enough for this job, I can't fix it. He was a super nice guy just couldn't fix my issue! Can I just say I explained when making the appt that we had already tired a 25' and 100' snake, so not sure why you wouldn't bring something long enough to hydro jet!

At that point I called around and looked at other Yelp reviews for someone that had a longer snake and a longer hydro jetting machine. Thank GOD I found these guys!!

These guys came in that same afternoon, with a 160' snake and were in and out within 15 mins tops!!!! After days of having this issues these guys fixed my issue in 15 mins with a snake and saved me money, without having to hydro yet! AMAZING!!! Call these guys for any plumber needs! They gave me a sticker and going forward I will ONLY use them! THANK YOU South County Plumbing!!!

10:30PM: Getting ready for bed and my wife asks, is there water running somewhere? Yes. There's water running... and it's bad news. It's flooding our yard and running into the street.

Our water main broke between the meter and the house. South County Plumbing took the late-night call and came out to assess. The Water District came too and made sure the meter valve was secure and we resumed work first thinound g in the morning. Dispatch called at 8am to get some details and the guys showed up by 8:30am.

By 10am the source of the leak was found and repairs were done by 1pm. Quick, professional and thorough. These guys are my new plumber.

Came home to 5of water under our house (raised floor). Saw good reviews from RSM Facebook page for SCP. Called SCP and they responded right away. Alithea (sp?) answered the phone and was extremely helpful in also coordinating a restoration company to help with the abatement.

Sean (plumber) crawled on his stomach through a ton of mud to get to the broken pipe and then charged a very reasonable amount for the repair. Very impressed with everyone's professionalism and honesty.

I was so pleased with South County Plumbing! I needed my sink re-hooked up after I got new countertops and a new faucet installed.

1) Receptionist gave me an appointment time for the next day. An actual time! Not a window! I was super excited about this.
2) Someone called about half an hour before my appointment to confirm.
3) Jason show up on time and ready to go. Took a look at what I needed done and gave me a quote.
4) Jason took the time to get the job done and correctly. He tested everything before he left and everything looked nice and neat and in working order.
5) Invoice was emailed to me before he left.

Seriously highly recommend these guys. We had a pipe burst (3rd one in 2 months) Saturday night. I turned the water off and then waited for another plumber. When they were a no show at 3pm on Sunday I started panicking.

Called of South County Plumbing and they said let me check and get back to you. Called me back and they said we can get someone over there within the hour. Got a call from the plumber that said he was on his way and he arrived on time.

I was going through my new home insurance so I was a little worried but he answered all the questions right and I'm getting reimbursed. Overall, this was an amazing turnaround in my day.

Fixed it right, explained what I should do with the drywall and also cleaned up.

No complaints and I'm super happy they got this done so quickly.

Had an issue with the toilets backing up.
I called Rescue Rooter and after going around all the hassle of them showing up late and trying to pack the bill I gave up and called Soco Plumbing.

They came in , said the quote was between $150-$325 depending on the level. (Turned out to be $325) BUT for $325 they yanked two toilets, sat there for about 4 hours and snaked out a giant root that had grown into the line.

All in all the best value for the labor work.
I would recommend them again.

I had a broken garbage disposal. Ishmael came out at 3:40. Very nice. He installed a new one and told me to take back the American Standard disposal that I had bought at Costco and purchase his Badger 5 instead since the Badger will outlive the American Standard. He was there until about 4:20. Total cost for labor and the Badger 5 disposal was $285.

I called SCP this morning and had Sean a my door approximately a half hour later. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and straight-forward. There was some uncertainty regarding one or more than one underground leak. Sean isolated the problem, made the fix, tested and retested to make sure we got the leak.

Called South County Plumbing for an urgent need. The quoted price was the lowest of 4 phone estimates. They arrived within 30 minutes of my call! The technicians were friendly, professional and clean! They explained their findings and gave advice on my next steps. As a single female, I would highly recommend them. They were even nice enough to carry away my old downstairs toilet I just happen to be replacing myself (totally unrelated to my upstairs plumbing issue) and dispose of it properly! Problem: Water was leaking from the base of the downstairs toilet and would not completely flush from time to time.

Solution: Called; stated problem; was given potential scenarios that may be taking place; and provided potential costs for fix. Scheduled for 8:30am.

Buddy arrived 5 minutes early and eager to help with the problem. He ran a couple quick tests and found roots in the pipes. He educated us on what has happened and things to do in the future. He removed the root of the problem; which can be seen in the following picture. Buddy was very informative and extremely pleasant to work with. If you're in need of plumbing service, look no further. Today on a Sunday Morning it started off as a nightmare. We noticed that overnight a pipe in our wall must of burst because our downstairs wall was leaking with water. There was water bubbling in our paint on the wall and ceiling. We called our home warranty which is Fidelity Home Warranty and they have really bad customer service. They would not send anyone out and said we had to wait until tomorrow because no one would come out on a Sunday and we had no water running and our ceiling about to burst open. I told them they were crazy so I found South County Plumbing online and they had a lot of positive reviews. Moses was our Angel who works for this company. He came right away and was super knowledgeable and professional. He totally found our leak and fixed it up before it got worse. He was reasonable and very honest and very clean too. I would recommend him anytime, he was awesome. We can now sleep with peace of mind and we are very happy with his service.

My Fiancee and I recently bought a home in Lake Forest, and spent the last 45 days fully renovating it. From contractors to tile installers, we're so fed up with service providers who seem to be so busy they can't even show some common courtesy and return our phone calls. So when we contacted these guys we expected the same thing. I'm relieved to say they proved us WRONG! After our counter-tops were installed, the kitchen sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher were all disconnected (and the drain line was broken). I called and spoke with Caprice, and she offered a same-day emergency appointment or 9am next day (no emergency). At 8:55am the next morning Rob was at our door. He came in, evaluated the issue, and immediately got after it. He must have spent at least 5 hours under our sink making sure everything was perfect. He replaced faulty lines, connected them securely, and neatly hid all of the lines & power cords so we wouldn't get tangled up with them in the future. And, when he discovered our chrome air gap cover didn't match the new brushed nickel faucet we purchased, without saying a word he jumped in his van and picked up the matching part from Home Depot.

We're tired of dealing with people who don't seem to want our business, but we'll NEVER get tired of honest, reliable, quality service. If you're looking for the same thing, call South County Plumbing and forget everyone else. Maybe they'll help us finish the rest of our house :)

Upstairs shower sprung a leak yesterday which left me with water pouring out of my canned lighting in the dining room downstairs so I called my landlord and she sent these guys out ASAP. I had a pinhole leak repaired by another plumbing company that did more damage than good. They repaired the leak but in the process cut into another pipe and patched it with a piece of rubber and a hose clamp and didn't tell me. A month later the patch failed and I wake up to another leak in the wall. After making several calls from other five star rated company's on Yelp, South Coast had someone that could actually come out and make the repairs that day. I am sure the others are good too but leaving a recording saying your busy all week won't help when you need to shower, flush etc. Steve came out in 30 minutes and fixed a problem nobody else wanted to touch. Price was correct for the job. I didn't pay a truck charge for an estimate either.

Thank goodness for Yelp and Steve at South County Plumbing.

South County Plumbing was absolutely excellent! The pilot light on my water heater went out and I needed some help fast. To my surprise when I called for assistance, a technician was able to come to my aid the same day! That was a welcomed surprise!

Steve the technician that came was friendly, informative and honest! He told me only what I needed and I never felt there was any up-selling. He actually provided all the information that was needed to make the repair, along with advice for future decisions for an old water heater I had. He exemplified what customer service is all about! Honesty, integrity and helpfulness, were all at the forefront of Steve's customer service.

We had a pipe that sprung a leak in the walls, between our sub-flooring and the top of the crawl space under the house. It was a very difficult space to access. Moises came to the house and began the job and then asked his supervisor Steve to come by and assess. Moises ended up having to crawl into a very tight space behind my washing machine and fixed the leak. Both of these guys knew their stuff and resolved the problem very professionally. I highly recommend using this company.
