Our goal at Purdy Plumbing & Drain is to provide professional plumbing service to every customer. We maintain a variety of accounts from homeowners to property managers and small businesses to large corporations.

HISTORY

Established in 2011.
Purdy Plumbing & Drain Opened it’s doors for business in 2011. PPD has grown substantially over the past 7 years due to the owner, Ryan’s , second to none work ethic and being able to find and keep quality employees. Purdy’s passion for all aspects of the plumbing industry is what drives him to work towards expanding the company and offering their top notch service and repair skills to everyone.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Ryan Purdue, the Founder of Purdy Plumbing & Drain Inc, is a first generation plumber and started in the trade while still in high school, working weekends and during summer with plumbers in his neighborhood. Digging trenches and performing intense manual labor to get the job done in a timely manner instilled a superb work ethic and passion for the trade. Once out of high school, Ryan started working for a new construction plumbing firm and learned the ins and outs of the trade from ground work to top out. The housing boom began to dry up so Ryan, who needs to stay busy, decided to move into the service and repair sector of the trade, though still slow at the time, was more consistent than new construction. After 8 years in service and repair, Ryan acquired his state license (959976) and opened for business in early 2011. Now, almost 8 years later, PPD INC has expanded into a fully licensed company with a solid base, ready for more growth.

Had a valve break in the wall of our bathtub/shower. Chris P. from Purdy came out at the scheduled time (actually was a little early if you can believe that!) and was polite and friendly. Chris took a look, quickly and correctly assessed the problem, wrote up an estimate and explained the repair. We accepted the estimate and he went to go get the parts needed from their supplier.

Chris ran into a snag trying to find the parts, they had to be ordered and overnighted from out of state. We had been without water for 3-4 days so Chris came back to the house, came up with a temporary cap on the leaking pipe, and was able to get our water back on to the rest of the house. We really appreciated his hard work trying to find the part and then coming back to do the temporary fix, he didn't have to, but chose to provide that extra step of service.

The following day Chris returned with the parts, performed the plumbing repair, cleaned up (to the point that it looked better after than before he started), and walked me through the completed job.

I would absolutely recommend Purdy Plumbing and will use them again in the future if we need a plumber. I also appreciated the prompt, friendly and responsive office staff I spoke to on the phone.  These folks do good work at competitive prices, and go out of their way to take care of their customers.

I recommend Purdy plumbing for getting any of your plumbing needs. Ryan was very helpful on the phone and able to help out during an emergency. Ritchie came out in a hurry was very professional and able diagnose find the leak and fix it. For any plumbing issues I would have Ritchie come and fix the problem.

- Honorable mentions: Josh (Plumber) & Erin (Recept.)  
- Issue: Drain Clearing & Garbage Disposal replacement.
- Expected turn time: Was expecting 2-3 day turn time.

Today 06/23/15 I ended up calling seven of the highest
rated (5 star) companies from yelp* & here are my findings:

(1) Never called me back.
(3) Approx. costs & labor quoted was over $500.00.
(1) Evenly priced, could not complete job until: 06/25/15.
(1) Called me back at the end of the day?  Day was over
(1) The company I chose:  {Purdy Plumbing and Drain.}

Here's why:
I called Purdy Plumbing and Drain, spoke to Erin who got Josh out to my house right away to give me an estimate. Josh did not try to up-sell me at all, he told me exactly what was wrong (discounted the price), I thanked him for his time but I did not feel confident in my decision until I had the chance to call the other (6) companies I selected & compare costs & service.  

I called one company that never bothered to call me back, three other companies told me the quote I received was an amazing price and they (in their own words) could not match it.  I called Erin back, she set up the appointment on the same day the estimate was done and sent Josh back out.  The average turn time from the other companies I talked to was around three days.  One company called me back at the end of the day (5:00 pm) after Josh had already been to my house twice, completed the job (took around 1 hour) and was already on his way to his next appointment, the guy is amazing!

* Result: Purdy Plumbing & Drain
     Earned a customer for life!!

This is the best experience yet.  These folks are professional, very reasonably priced, prompt and do not play the bait and switch game that plumbers are so notorious for.

They are my go to people when it comes to any of my plumbing needs.

Super fast and reasonably priced service. Called on a Thursday afternoon and spoke with Nicole. Explained that there was a potential leak and she gave me an estimate for the various scenarios. Sent Andy out that same afternoon (literally in less than an hour). Andy was super respectful of the property, was safely masked and very polite/professional. He did some investigation and then broke down the issue...showed me everything and explained thoroughly. Talked me through pricing prior to proceeding with the repair. Appreciated the service...very responsive and just an easy transaction. Thank you!!

I can't say how pleased I am with Chris and Purdy Plumbing. They have come out to my rental property twice for some major issues and Chris was very professional, reliable, fair and honest. Being an out of state landlord, and not there to see them do the work, I needed someone who would really walk me through what they were doing and that I could trust. Chris made sure to only communicate with me and run every decision by me and not my tenant. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs.  They do great work, have a great warranty and are priced extremely fair.

If I could use ZERO stars....I would. I made an appointment 1 week ago to have a toilet changed. They were to be there between 10 am -12 pm. I had to call hourly to find out when they were going to be there. I understand being a little late, since things happen. When I called, it was they are coming , they're on their way, and other excuses. Over promise and under deliver. Totally wasted my only day off. Then canceled at 4 pm. I called another company that was here in a half hour. Done by 5. Never would recommend Purdy Plumbing. Period. Very disappointed in the lack of service and communication.

We were looking for a plumber to install a home filtration system.  We had a few estimated, but none as friendly or knowledgeable as Chris who was on time for the estimate and installation.  Chris was extremely knowledgeable and transparent in explaining the installation.  They quoted a fare price and that it will be a 4-5 hours job and got it done within that window.  Chris was always friendly and open to making sure you understand everything.  Customer service was excellent as well.  Highly recommend.

They came out to unclog a drain. He explained the reason why it was clogged and what we can do to prevent it in the future. He was friendly and spoke Spanish to top it all off. Positive customer service experience.

I found their contact info through Yelp alone. Purdy clearly had a good reputation so I gave them a shot. Purdy Plumbing exceeded my expectations!

Ryan came out same day to clear a recurring bathtub drain problem. Not only did he stick with the problem till the end to get it working he managed to fix my toilette problem at no charge. Good to have a good local plummer contact!

Called this company after learning that the plumbing company we used to call went out of business. We had an issue with water coming out underneath the toilet as well as changing it out entirely. Our house was built in the mid 1950s and so we knew that there maybe issues when they open up things up to take a look to see what's going on. Sure enough, it turned out to be a bigger job. The main person we dealt with was Andy; he was very thorough and transparent with everything that needed to be done.

We couldn't be happier with the job that was done. We have another thing that we would like to get done and we will definitely be calling Purdy again.

Also, one great thing about this company - I called the number that is posted here on Yelp; I received a pre-recorded message telling me that I could also send a text.  After leaving a text, Nicole called me back right away.

Third time we've had them out. Very professional and don't try and talk you into things you don't need. When we first bought a house and had a problem we didn't know who to call, so my husband called roto rooter. The plumbing didn't get reemed nearly as much as we did.  4,500.00 for practically nothing. These guys came out and spent the entire day and didn't charge us nearly 1/2 that and did a ton of work. They are awesome and hire great guys to do the work. They clean up after themselves nicely too. Highly recommend

I've been looking after my grandparents in Fullerton for the last few months as both of their health has seriously declined.
I live in Nashville, so naturally, I turned to Yelp.  Ryan showed up, diagnosed the very simple fix (and no charge) of a loose handle on the toilet I was having issues with, but then noticed a leak underneath the toilet (that I've never noticed). He stayed to repair the more serious problem underneath the toilet even though it was a bigger job than any of us expected. He also diagnosed the issue with hot water from the kitchen sink and gave us his honest and very humble advice as to how to proceed given we will probably sell the house in the next year or so.  He was kind, quiet, and got the job done without overselling or overcharging.  He is trustworthy, prompt, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. I needed a plumber on the Northern side of Orange County and found Ryan on Yelp. He does great work and you will not find a better price. He uses top grade products too. I have used his services twice now and plan on using them again in the future.

We had a clogged bathroom drain and after calling several companies for quotes, decided to go with Purdy Plumbing since they were the only one available in the evening. I spoke to Nicole on the phone and appreciated that she was able to provide an exact amount instead of an estimate range.

On the day of the appointment, Chris and his partner called before arrival. They were very courteous and wore disposable booties prior to entering the house. The whole process took about 45 minutes, with Chris explaining what had caused the clog and how to prevent it in the future.

I hope we won't need a plumber again anytime soon, but now I know which reliable company to call.

Need toilets replaced for an older home. They were able to accommodate me with a few days notice.Installed exactly  what we wanted and left the bathrooms clean. Great customer service.

I called on 10/6/22, to get A price for complete removal of my drains and replace with new pipes. They sent someone out and he was here in 15 minutes. He crawled under the house for about 45 minutes and took pictures to show me. They sent me a quote in about 30 minutes. We had 4 quotes from other plumbers. My wife & I went over and Purdy Plumbing came out on top every time, I called on the 7th. they came with 5 men and did the job in one day on the 8th.. They worked very hard and completed the job that day.

I am recommending Purdy plumbing to everyone I know.  They are just that awesome.  I called another place that was recommended by a friend.  They quoted me $130 plus parts to come out.  Water was leaking from under my kitchen sink.  When I ran the water, water would drip from the pipe leading to the faucet and also from directly under the faucet.  I called and gave Purdy Plumbing this information.  They were able to come within an hour for a FREE estimate!  This is the first plumbing company I've called that comes out to give you a free estimate, rather than charge just to come and take a look.
Chris arrived on time, in a Purdy Plumbing van.  He wore shoe covers when he came in.  He diagnosed the problem quickly, then spent extra time making sure it was not any other problem.  He basically had to take apart the top of my faucet hose and reverse the gasket?? And screwed it back on so it was not loose anymore.  That was what was causing the leak.  But he checked every other possibility to make sure it wasn't anything else.  He checked the pipes, the garbage disposal, the dishwasher and water filter.  After about 30 minutes.  He was done.  He then showed me the rust on the garbage disposal and under the sink faucet.  He informed me that I would need to eventually replace these things because of the rust which would lead to leaking.
Then I asked him how much I owed him for fixing the leak.  He said nothing.  He didn't bring out any tools and all he did was reverse the gasket? And twist it back on.  Say whaaaaaat???  
Me: But you spent time coming out, fixed the leak, and spent time checking everything.  
He said he and Purdy Plumbing don't think it's right to charge to come out for an estimate and since he didn't get his tools out and replace anything, there was no charge.  
He then gave me an estimate for the future work that would need to be done due to the rust, but it was up to me if and when I wanted to get that work done.  He went to his car, wrote up different estimates (if i purchased the faucet and disposal vs them purchasing it).  And that was that.  
Chris was awesome!  Professional and knowledgeable.  
If you need a plumber, call Purdy.  They give you a free estimate based on the actual work that needs to be done.  No other place does that!  
Thank you Purdy and Chris.  You guys are awesome.  I've already bragged to all my family and friends and sent them Purdy's information.

Purdy Plumbing came out to do a quote for some improvements I wanted to make to my home.  The plumber was clean, respectful and always was super careful not to make a mess on my floors.  I really appreciated that.  Even though I did not hire them, due to cost limits, I want others to know just how great their service techs are and that you should give them a chance to bid your work.

Don't be fooled by the Yelp rating.

My place had some issues with water pressure and leaking in the bathroom pipes so I made an appointment with Purdy two days in advance for an inspection and quote.  They asked me for two hour window of time as they may run a few minutes and for thorough inspection.  My husband and I took time off of work for this inspection and the plumber did not show up!  We waited for an hour and called them numerous times but no pick up or a call to let us know that they were running late.  We couldn't wait any longer and went back to work.  They called me 1.45 hours later and asked where I was. They wasted our time and were they trying to do the inspection within 15minutes?! This is absolutely unprofessional and I bet even a plumbing company with less than three star rating wouldn't be as bad as this.

Ryan is an honest and knowledgeable plumber.  Very hardworking and knows his trade as you can see from all the positive reviews which is great but also can be a drawback as he gets so busy that sometimes it's hard to acquire his services.  I always call them first and if they cannot help out especially in emergency situations then I have to go to one of my back up plumbers.

Had a great experience with Richie and Purdy Plumbing. Richie showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. Snaking my clogged kitchen drain didn't work so he went under the house to check things out. He gave me a couple options. There was no pressure and he explained every thing so that I could understand. He also didn't charge for snaking the drain since it didn't work.

We thought about it and decided to replace that stretch of pipe. I left a message on Saturday evening and they called back that day and scheduled it for Monday. Showed up on time, finished quickly, and cleaned everything up.

We priced one other company and Purdy was much more affordable, explained things more clearly, and didn't try to sell us on upgrades we didn't need.

I've worked with Chris twice now and both times he's been punctual, effective, and respectful.  Today, he worked on my kitchen sink.  I asked if I could watch as he worked and he was good with explaining what he did and why he was doing it.  He provided immediate solutions, short term solutions, and long term recommendations.

At the price point, I would definitely work with Purdy again.

Would recommend Purdy's Plumbing to anyone I know.

Had to get our laundry room plumbing redone. This included recessed laundry box, new copper water lines, new ABS drain line and standpipe to replace the original galvanized steel in our 1955 home.

I was able to schedule an estimate and met Chris for the first time. He was on time, polite and responsive. He walked me though various options, giving me in a perfect world scenarios that would accomplish my end goal and helped be understand what would be best for the longevity of my home. He left me an estimate with a very detailed explanation of the work that would be done. I left a message later that evening with the main office asking to schedule service.

I got a return phone call the next morning saying they could schedule it 2 days later on a Saturday (which was perfect).

Again Chris arrived on time at 0900 and began the work. He gave me an estimated finish time and began the job. Even while running into unexpected original plumbing he explained how he would adjust his plan of attack and continued. Chris was a great guy and I appreciated his thorough nature and attention to detail. When he finished he cleaned up his work space and left it tidy and neat.

I know good work and customer service when I see/feel it and I have no reason to ever bid out plumbing again. I just found MY plumber. Thanks again Chris and the Purdy Plumbing Team,Happy Holidays!

Ryan Purdy and Purdy Plumbing are the best plumbers ever. I have utilized these guys for more than 5 years and have always found them skilled, available timely, professional, friendly, honest, and very fair.  I recently used Purdy Plumbing to hydro jet my main line to the street. They were able to get it completed on the same day and thankfully the drains are flowing well now. This experience reminds me again why I will always call these guys for any plumbing issues.

Ryan was great. Our kitchen sink was backed up and he answered our call right away, showed up (even had booties so my floors wouldn't get dirty - which I really appreciated!) and was prompt and fixed the problem quickly.

He offered us great advice and was terrific. I would highly recommend him for any of your plumbing needs and will definitely be calling him in the future.

Longtime, now former, Purdy customer here. We've tried for two straight days to make an appointment that Purdy could keep, and tonight, our plumber NO-SHOWED our job. Last I heard, he told the office that he was cleaning up and heading our way after missing our window by SIX HOURS. We were a lay-up job too. Look at a garbage disposal, troubleshoot a pressure issue, and fix a runny toilet. That's it.

I get that we were a low-priority appointment. I get that other jobs are more important and can run longer than expected. What I can't stand is being made to feel that way; getting the brush-off after being made to wait for TWO DAYS for a plumber to decide we're worth the trip. Wasted time, wasted effort.

It's really unfortunate it came to this. Purdy Plumbing's been our service for years. But they aren't anymore and we don't recommend counting on them for timely service or reliable results. Maybe someone else will want our money enough to show up.

We had a small gas leak at the in-ground meter near the street due to a corroded section of pipe. Another company quoted $6,000 (!) stating the entire line would need to be replaced. I was fairly certian that wasnt required. Chris from Purdy came out and inspected the pipe and was able to remove the bad pipe and install a new section.  I won't name the other company, but i don't care if a plumber smells good or not. Chris did a great job and gas was back on in a couple of hours. Charge was very reasonable.

I called Purdy Plumbing for advice and a quote to address a drain line problem with with my kitchen sink and washing machine. Ryan came over and immediately impressed me with his knowledge and his focus to address my issues and not up sell or expand the work needed.

He provided a very fair quote and start schedule. His team, shout out to Art, and he were clean, courteous and communicated every step.

The final job included replacing the kitchen 2 line, tying in the washer and sleeping the main line. Excellent work. Great people. Awesome company. Purdy Plumbing has earned all my plumbing needs going forward as will who I recommend to my friends and neighbors.

I am just now getting around to writing this review. I used Purdy plumbing last year to hydro my drains on my house in Fullerton. I waited to write the review to see if the problem went away. My drains have been clear since this was done. First off let me start by saying the person who answered the phone was really nice and scheduling the appointment was a breeze. I mention this because i called other places to shop around and could not get a straight answer out of them, some never bothered to return my call. The plumber who came out to do the work was courteous and went out of his way to explain what he was doing. He left no trace that he had been there.
Recently I had the opportunity to meet the owner Ryan. I was doing a home inspection for a client and he was there doing a sewer camera inspection. After meeting him I knew right away why his worker was so good, its obvious Ryan is a professional. As a home inspector I have worked with many plumbers, having been in the piping industry myself for so many years I do have extensive knowledge of plumbing systems. Ryan was obviously there  to make the client feel comfortable in their purchase of this home. He explained what he was doing and how much the repairs would be. I have witnessed other plumbers that try to frighten or tell the customer things that simply are not true.  I will from  here on out recommend Ryan to all my clients.

Great service!! Chris was our technician and he was extremely helpful. Showed up on time, very respectful, and gave lots of advice on how to prevent clogs in the future!  Thoroughly cleaned up after snaking our drain and gave us a 90 day warranty for future clogs! Will definitely use again!

I was having constant water hammering whenever I used the bathroom sink and especially the washing machine.  I decided to get a water pressure regulator installed after doing some research since my pressure was above 80psi.

I did some searching on Yelp for reputable plumbers and Purdy came up near the top.  I sent messages to my top 3 choices.  Purdy and another provider messaged me back very quickly.

The reason I went with Purdy was not only the price, but also how Ryan handled my messages to him on Yelp.  I could tell that he is a very honest person when I asked my questions.  

I called in and was able to get an appointment for the same day.  I was given a 2 hour window and the plumber, Nadel, arrived 5 minutes early.  Now that's awesome. Ryan gave me an estimate for the job and when Nadel arrived, the estimate was the same, so there were no surprises.

I had a lot of questions for Nadel and he was very happy to educate me on the various things that I had concerns with.  He didn't try to up sell me at all. He also gave me a couple of options on how I could place my regulator and also suggested a pressure level that would be comfortable for me.

Everything was done in about an hour and the job definitely looks professional.  I have to reiterate how great Nadel was.  He's very nice and you can tell that he enjoys what he does because the quality of his work is excellent.

I would not hesitate calling Purdy Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs.  I'm sure there are other great plumbers our there, but Purdy Plumbing went above what I was expecting.

This firm is a welcome breath of fresh air, as Ryan is an honest, competent, and ethical businessman. He was at a family home a few months ago.
He explained exactly what he would do, how much he'd charge, and followed through to his word. Even when the leak detection took longer than expected, he stuck with it, (not charging any more) until he was able to provide an accurate assessment and job estimate. He explained the alternative repair methods so we could understand, and performed the repairs in a professional and courteous manner. Work like this and people like this truly deserve to be commended. Purdy deserves much continued success!!

I had a drain problem, so I called purdy plumbing. The owner Ryan was very helpful & got me in ASAP.  They came and hydro-jetted the main line. They're very Reliable & do great work! Haven't had a problem since! Highly recommend.

Thank you Purdy Plumbing for your awesome service and dedication to your customers. We had an issue with our shower and my wife was on me to get it fixed. My brother recommended Purdy ( and specifically technician Chris) and they came out the next day to check it out. After 5 minutes the problem was fixed and there was no charge since there were no parts used. He simply showed me how i could handle that particular issue on my own. No tools needed. Just knowledge. Wow!
Well, Chris also pointed out something with our plumbing that would probably become an issue in the future. He wrote up an estimate for the work and even though we're not having the work done just yet, you can bet we are going to call Purdy Plumbing when the time comes. Thanks again guys!

My water pressure was a bit too high, and it felt like my faucet was a fire hydrant when I turned it on sometimes, so I went on Yelp to ask for quotes about installing a water pressure regulator.

Purdy's price was a lot more reasonable than other places, so I got in contact with Ryan, and we set a date, and he said he'd have someone out from 1pm - 2pm.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  But at 12:57, Chris was there at my door, ready to work.

He briefly looked at my main water line and said he should be able to get it done in an hour.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  But at 1:45, my water was back on and my pressure regulator was in place, working perfectly.

He said he needed to go back to the truck to get the paperwork and everything so I could pay.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  This is usually the part when I get presented with a bill with random phantom extra charges.  But when Chris came back, it was exactly the price I'd agreed to with Ryan.

Plus Chris was extremely nice and answered all the questions I had about my new pressure regulator.

Absolutely zero complaints - would not hesitate to contact these guys again in the future for any plumbing jobs I might have!

I don't know a whole lot about tankless water heaters and after trying a few things, I decided it was time to call a plumber.

I shopped around about six different plumbers who gave me close to the same answer, except for Ryan at Purdy. I work with pipelines, large ones so theoretically I'm familiar with what to expect. I described in as much detail what was going on, hoping to eliminate the guess work of a plumber showing up, diagnosing the problem, charging the diagnoses and then charging me again for any repairs. The 5/6 plumbers said they needed to come out and see it first. But Ryan, wrote me back and told me what he thought would be and could be wrong with it. Straight forward, no BS, honest and truth! What he responded with made sense and I was more than happy to make a schedule. Hey, I rather you try your best, be honest, and if you're wrong, that's fine, at least you made the effort!

Upon arrival, he was right on the dot, he flushed out the tankless and gave me the low down and on what needs to be worked on. I learned a few things for myself, because he was so detailed in explaining the schematics of the piping system.

Real cool cat, I had the pleasure of getting to know Ryan. Also, I'm proud to say I found myself a permanent plumber. I definitely wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Customer service at its best!!

When you manage several properties you know how important it is to have a good, reliable, trustworthy plumber.  Ryan has done several jobs for me and I cannot be happier with his professionalism and his work!  He is then he best. Our termite inspector notified me there was a leak under the house so of course I wanted it fixed ASAP.  I lost time while trying to get ahold of my regular plumbers who never called me back. Finally I gave up and looked on Yelp to find Purdy Plumbing. With out my even asking for emergency service, Purdy called me back immediately and came when it was convenient for me. The work was completed within three hours and at a fair price by Chris who made no complaint when he had to go under the house and work in a very small dirty crawlspace. I now  have my new go to plumbers. Thank you Purdy Plumbing!

I have had 4 or 5 different plumbers come over the past 14 to 15 months to examine the issues I had regarding the main sewer line connecting to the city line. As a homeowner for the past 5 years there is nothing I value more then honesty from specialists providing services, and Robert and the owner have been amazing. Requested a quote via the yelp app and received the quote the same day...they came out their next business and got everything back up and running! Ryan was great on the phone, gave us a decent quote and got the service scheduled immediately. Andy was very nice and understood or predicament without my having to go over everything that's happened since we purchased the home a year ago. Definitely would recommend these guys!

This has not been a good experience for me, at all.  I hired and paid Purdy Plumbing to fix a shower diverter and some other items.  A few days after the plumber finished, I noticed there was a drip from the tub spout when it was on shower.  I contacted Purdy Plumbing, who sent the plumber back out to look at it.  He said he could fix it, but was unable and now it was worse.  The owner, Ryan, came out to fix it and was also unable to.  He said he would come back and do a custom fix.  He never showed for the appointment and I tried contacting him.  It has been weeks and he has not responded to my calls.  The issue has not been resolved, he has not offered a refund and still has not contacted me.

Used these guys 4.5 years ago to snake my main drain to the street, since they were here I added the kitchen drain for a nominal add on fee. I brought them back again this month for the hydro jet treatment of both drains, they fed a cable camera the entire length and my pipes look practically like new so I don't think I need to worry about a clog for quite a few years. Purdy Plumbing is legit, great service, competitive pricing, no run around or BS. Thank you Ryan and the Purday team.

I'm not one to write negative reviews and I'm rarely disappointed... however I had to write this. My kitchen sink was plugged up. No water was going through. Soup was poured down the kitchen sink and that's how the backup occurred. I contacted Purdy Plumbing and Drain and they able to come out the same day. They arrived slightly late of the scheduled appointment time. That's understandable since it is a same day appointment and some things are out of their control. The tech was nice and professional and proceeded to figure out what was wrong. He told me he tried to snake out my problem and it didn't work.  What I thought would be simple job appeared to be a bigger job than expected. He said that I needed to have my have my pipes replaced because they were old and that the clog can't be snaked out. To replace the pipes was going to be over $1000 easily.  No other alternatives were given. Only way to fix it was to replace the pipes. So for him to try and snake my backup that didn't work was $120. $120 for services that didn't resolve my issue.I then told them I cant proceed with the job of replacing the pipes and just paid the $120.  I tried to fix the problem myself by getting a bladder for my hose that cost me $24 and it did the job. I fixed the kitchen drain that was backed up myself. I could have wasted so much money with Purdy Plumbing with my hard earned money. Over $1k to fix the problem with them while I did it myself for $24. Im disappointed in this company.  I feel like I was being taken advantage of while vulnerable. They didn't look for my best interest. They just went with what would cost more to solve the problem. Get another opinion from another company before you waste your money.

After the review I was contacted and was told it was a misunderstanding... they refunded my money. It's suppose to be their policy to be at no cost if they do not resolve the problem by snaking it out.

Really enjoyed working with this company. Andy came out on time and helped us through the kitchen clog. He was really patient with us and provided not only evidence of the grease plug but also advice without up selling us. Our particular case ended up needing the hydro jet but it was well worth the money. They even guarantee it for a year!

I looked online later that day and the price charged to us was very fair compared to other companies. I was glad I could trust them on the spot without feeling scammed later. He was honest -- so important to us.

Unfortunately for us another clog has showed up (old house, different drains) today and they're on their way to help us once again! Look forward to working with them again. Hopefully we won't need another jet. Either way, still worth it!!

My mom is getting older now and lives on her own, which means a lot of service folk try to take advantage of her. She mentioned she had a broken shower handle and broken inner cartridge, and got an estimate for it - which seemed awfully high to me. My brother chimed in that he had once fixed the same problem himself and that the quote is awfully awfully high.

So I hopped on Yelp and found Purdy and one other business that both had great ratings and gave her their #s. She said Purdy ended up working REALLY HARD for 2 hours, and charged her a rate I won't quote here, but it was extremely reasonable.

I wanted to go above and beyond to thank Purdy for helping my mom. I think they have won her over as a long time client now thanks to their great service and reasonable rates. Thanks!

I called Purdy Plumbing after my tenant called with a clog drain on a Sunday evening. He responded to my quote request within an hour. He came right out, even in the dark, and fixed the problem. He was very nice & explained what was going on. It was quick at a reasonable rate.

I will use him again for my next plumbing problem for sure!!

Called them out to unclog a toilet and was very happy with the service.

First off, they answered the phone right away...usually a good sign. They then set an appointment after we described the problem and quoted an estimate.

The technician showed up right on time, donned protective covers for his shoes and examined the problem. He then went to his truck, retrieved the necessary equipment and the clog was removed in minutes.

He was polite, well dressed, and the final invoice was exactly what the estimate was.

Very professional at every stage of the transaction. Would definitely recommend to others.

I called Purdy Plumbing because something was leaking in my laundry room ceiling, which is below the upstairs bathroom. My son in law opened up the ceiling, but didn't know exactly what was leaking. Andy had his partner run the water,  no leak,  then he said throw water at the seam between the tube and the wall, that was it. He said we just need to caulk it. I'm so happy to have found an honest plumber. They came and did a diagnosis at no charge. Thank you, Andy for your honesty.

We had a potentially very stressful situation with a clogged kitchen sink and water coming out of our floorboards. Purdy plumbing was amazing! Andy and Angel came and knew exactly what to do! Andy was incredibly thorough and patiently answered all questions. They went above and beyond to not only fix the problem, but also follow with great referrals and excellent clean up. The front desk (Nicole) was also fantastic at always responding right away to questions. This will definitely be my to go plumber.

He was courteous, attentive, and super friendly towards my parrot. It is very rare for my parrot to bond with anyone; Chris bonded with my parrot in less than five minutes. I don't have a good impression. I checked Yelp, 5 star reviews. Open 24 hours. I called and issue #1, their voicemail was full. The message gave another number to text, so I did. Issue #2 It's been 24 hours and I have yet to hear back from them. Not a good way to run a business. Good thing I didn't wait, I found an excellent plumber....so maybe I should thank Purdy for not answering their phone.

During a super busy time in my week, I reached out to them in desperation because the water in the bathroom has been leaking for over a week and the landlord wasn't doing anything about it. I know why they have such good ratings because they are so GOOD!
Chris came out when he said he would and fixed a problem for such a reasonable price.
The previous guy wanted to gut out the wall and do all sorts of crazy work on it and Chris fixed it with one simple part!

I called Purdy because of all the Yelp love and was not disappointed. Chris was prompt and diagnosed the situation, wrote up an estimate, and gave some great advice. I appreciate the way Chris takes the time to explain what he is doing every step of the way. He also left my under-sink area way nicer than he found it. Purdy is our new plumber and can't wait to use them when we build our garage in a couple of months. I'm happy to support a great local business like Purdy. I've been a homeowner for over twenty years and have seen my share of plumbers and these guys blow everybody else out of the water in every way. I can't recommend them highly enough.

No ups, No extras, Same Day Great Service

So I called 4 of the top Plumbers on Yelp including Purdy.
One called back quickly but immediately alerted me that houses built in the 70s needed larger drain pipes and that he would charge hourly for that. While I appreciate the input, ups and extras usually don't happen until service guys show up, right? He also should have considered it's been draining with no issues since the 70s. Oh well... he's out!

Another called back several hours later and I informed them that I already had committed to a plumber. They informed me they were too busy any way. Their out for future business with that attitude!

Purdy calls back and I'm nervous thinking they all might be up-selling with attitude these days. NOT SO with Purdy and they even gave me a small discount as I found them on Yelp. They came out the same day, on-time and snaked the drain and it's working great!

I have two curious toddlers and TWICE Purdy Plumbing has came to the rescue! Apparently my kids thought it would be a great idea to flush some toys down the toilet. I called Purdy and the receptionist was awesome! She got someone out asap even with their busy schedules. A lot of other places I called wee way too pricey or wouldn't be out til late/following day. Second time around when it happened again...Purdy to the rescue. It was a Friday afternoon and they got someone out sooner than expected! I can't remember his name, but he and all of their guys are so respectful and friendly. I offered some waters and some chips and he was so appreciative. I definitely recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Called Tuesday morning and informed they were booked all day will not be able to come out until next day =(
Good thing I didn't call someone else out and waited for Ryan & Chris to come out because they were GREAT! They spent the entire day (8am - 4pm) repairing our pipes and even put our shower back together so we can stop sharing the kids' bathroom!
Not only that, they noticed corrosion on our water tank pipes in the garage and repaired that too!
I don't know much about the services in this area but I think his price was very reasonable.

Had an early morning emergency, went on Yelp to do some research and found Purdy Plumbing.  I called Purdy Plumbing, after 2 rings Ryan answered and I told him what was going on.  He scheduled an appointment and arrived on time.  Before walking into the house he put his booties on over his shoes as to not track mud / dirt through the house.  He knocked the problem out within under an hour and was on his way.  Let all these other reviews help guide you if you are in the market for a plumber.

These guys do great work! I was having some problems with water draining at my house so I called roto-rooter plumbing. The guy came out and told me (Without even looking) it was going to cost $800 to flush the main line. After sending him packing i jumped on yelp and found Purdy. Ryan came out right away and tried several different things. Finally he was able to clear it with a snake. When it was all said and done my bill was under $200. I am very happy to have found these guys. I now use them for my business and home.

So thankful I found Purdy Plumbing shortly after buying my first home as I've repeatedly needed a reliable and honest plumber over the last 4 years. Ryan has always been very fair and the quality of his team's work is outstanding. Purdy previously replaced our main sewer line after hydro-jetting and scoping of the old line revealed it was completely rotted out under the slab, then we called them back about a year later to re-pipe essentially the entire house after a leak above the ceiling created significant water damage. We recently called them to diagnose and repair a burst pipe under our front sidewalk. Nicole answered the phone quickly on a holiday and Ryan came out the next morning to complete the repair. I can't recommend Purdy enough!

I value honesty above all in my professional dealings with tradesmen and Ryan of Purdy Plumbing did not let me down. I called Purdy Plumbing to get a third opinion on a simple drain clean out, the other two plumbers I had called mysteriously found problems that need correction resulting in extra charges from $300 to $1,900, hmm.

Ryan inspected all the piping under the crawl place of my house and found no additional problems and no additional charges.

He efficiently cleaned the clogged drain pipe and was a pleasure to deal with.

Finally, I can rest assured that when I call Purdy Plumbing I can count on an honest, professional and accountable plumber to work on the project.

O.M.G. if I could give this company 10 stars I would. We are so glad we found this reliable company.

We were trying to get all things on our list completed in order to get our condo sold. One included getting a water heater strapped. They came out right away. The first guy said we didn't need it. He confirmed with his manager and his buddy and there was no charge!

Our realtor said we needed it afterall. We called Purdy and they put us on a priority list and came back out within the next day or so. They charged us only for the part.

Chris was very professional and checked a leak under our sink for no extra charge. He explained every little thing he was doing in layman's terms so we understood. He was quick, efficient, and super friendly.

In the end my realtor wanted something in writing from them confirming the strap work they completed was okay - they only used 1 strap instead of 2. They went above and beyond and said they had approval from the city to do what they did and they put that in writing with no complaint. They are super prompt with their emails / calls / feedback.

They are soooo easy to work with. I recommend them 100% and would definitely use Purdy again!

I don't always do a five star review, but I felt it was needed at this point.  I was SO impressed with Chris; not only his skills, but his personality.  Purdy happened to be the fifth plumbing company that my husband contacted, but it actually worked out for the best.  He got in, got the work done (had to come back the next day), but it is perfect.  He made sure everything was cleaned up and vacuumed before he left, and talked to my kids and dog like he knew them which made everyone super comfortable.  My husband and I were in and out constantly, but Chris made sure to keep us both in the loop about everything.  He even made awesome recommendations for a small project that is next on the list.

I highly encourage anyone to contact them for any plumbing needs.  I know they will now be our go to plumber.

Came home to our sewage drain backed up so badly it was coming up out of the main drain port. Flooded our whole back drive. Called Purdy on a Sunday morning around 8am and my call was immediately picked up by Ryan. Said he'd be out within a few hrs, he ran late but called to let me know and I really appreciated him keeping me in the loop. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Worked in the 90 degree heat without one complaint and did the job thoroughly. His rates were very reasonable for the amount of time he spent clearing out the blockage, even sending me the video of the snake cam so I could send it to our HOA for reimbursement. If you're looking for a reliable plumber that answers your call, I would highly recommend Ryan. I'll def be calling him again when we're in need!

Really appreciated the phone answering and being able to get a crew out same day to check out my plumbing situation. The crew, tried as they might, couldn't clear my drains, but gave a solid reason why- with an estimate. Really appreciated that. Only charged me for call out too. That was OK with me. Because the repair was going to cost above my budget, I decided to go with another contractor after I got got a couple more bids. The only thing I would say bad about their service, they were a bit on the messy side. But considering the timely call out, I was ok with that.

My garbage disposal stopped working and so I called Purdy. I was provided a window of time between 2:30 and 3:30. I found out I would be home an hour early and let them know. Allen arrived a bit before 2:30. He discovered little pieces of glass were the culprit and he removed it. I was getting ready to pay and he said it was a small issue and so there would be no charge! Am I dreaming? Maybe I will wake up soon!

Second time I've used Purdy, this is a great company.  Chris is knowledgable, professional, clean and friendly.  I am very happy with the work done today as well as the work they did last time - which is still solid.  The pricing was clear and I believe to be fair prices for the work they have done.  
First time, they installed the water softener hookup I needed and also repaired a pipe I found that had a leak in the backyard.  They replaced a section of pipe that had failed, and the copper work they did had some of the cleanest solders I've seen.  The work on the water softener hookup was equally well executed.

This recent work consisted of cleaning out two drains (yes the infamous kitchen drain, despite my best efforts to not let fat, oil or grease down the drain) and an adjoining drain from the bathroom that also connects to the main kitchen drain.  

Chris was not only on time, but early, and slapped those blue shoe covers on before entering the house, a nice touch that clearly indicates forethought about customer service. He cleaned as he went, while keeping tools and materials neat and tidy.  Trips to the truck were minimal after making the assessment, which proves to me the mark of a professional, who knows their craft and what tools the job requires.  

It should be noted that this made for a very efficient visit, I don't feel like this dragged on at all.  In fact I'm very pleased with the very thorough work that was done at such good pace.  Once again, the mark of a professional.

I hope to not need there services anytime soon, but I will use them again for all of the above reasons.  

I highly recommend this company, you'll be happy with the quality of the work.

Amazing service and very friendly customer service as well. I have been battling with our HOA plumber for weeks but one quick call with Purdy Plumbing and they come out to fix our clogged tub in 15 minutes without having to access the drain from another point. I would definitely call Purdy Plumbing again due to their professionalism and knowledge.

Ryan Purdue saved my night. After calling about 5 different plumbers who all charged after hour prices and couldn't come right away, I got lucky and found Purdy Plumbing on yelp. It was already  after 6 and he came straight away to fix my kitchen sink and dishwasher (which had slowly been leaking for a while and I just discovered a bunch of goo under the sink). I don't know a lick about plumbing so Ryan was nice enough to explain to me what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. Not only that but he gave me a bunch of tips on things I could do to avoid this problem again. He went to get the parts I needed and came back and magically fixed it all! A ton of nasty stuff was clogging up this black tube which was making all the water spill out onto the kitchen counter!

I don't know what the best rate is or have any reference on pricing but what he quoted me seemed reasonable and he stayed to make sure everything was working correctly before he left. I hardly write reviews (usually for either a really bad or really good experience) but this was as pleasant as any plumbing job could possibly be. If anything else ever were to come up I would absolutely call Ryan. Friendly, patient, honest, professional, and goes above and beyond for YOUR convenience ( he arrived in 15 minutes of me calling him). We all know that feeling when you have someone do work and afterwards you don't bother to save the phone number because you wouldn't call them back if another problem came up... But doesn't it feel amazing when you finally find someone you trust to work in your house? THANK YOU!

Ryan is still the absolute BEST! I have had him out several times since my last review for different issues, one of which was replacing my broken water heater after the last earthquake. Just had him out again to flush the water heater and fix a couple of minor plumbing issues. Ryan is always so professional and his prices are more than reasonable for the quality of work and service you are getting. The excellent service is consistent from Erin in the office to Ryan in the field. I had an excellent experience with Purdy plumbing. There was a slab leak in my home, and Ryan came out and diagnosed the issue quickly. He fixed the problem with expertise, and it was solved much quicker then I thought, within a day. There was a problem with the kitchen water pressure, and Ryan came back, and worked at it until it was completely fixed. He also noticed an electrical issue under the sink, and attended to that as well.

Purdy is a wonderful, truth worthy company. They care about their clients, and their clients, and so great work. I highly recommend them.

Thank you Ryan for all the hard work. I called various plumbers and got ridiculous quotes. Thank god that I found #1 rated plumber (Purdy) and they were willing to do what it takes to have the whole house water filter and water softener installed for me within 48 hrs after I called. They are very professional and did an amazing job for me. Ryan and his apprentice installed and programmed the system for me at a very reasonable price along with warranty. They also clean up the area prior of leaving. I would definitely recommend them to anyone if you need plumbing related works. Thanks so much again for all the hard work!

I guess I can't really add much to all the positive reviews here, but I'll try. After moving into our new house, we started having blockages after only a week. Ryan came out promptly and gave me a detailed quote. (I called a few others out. One only gave me a verbal estimate and wouldn't come out to give me a written estimate. The other came out and said he would send me an estimate, but he never did.)

Being local, Ryan was able to give me a knowledgeable recommendation on what route to take with the repair. He advised to repair two spots instead of replacing all the pipes, which another company had advised doing. (This saved a lot of $!)

The repair took the guys only two days. They had to dig two large holes but saved my grass and even my flowers (replanting afterwards). Everything has been great since. I highly recommend these guys!

This was my first time hiring Purdy Plumbing. There was plenty to like...

So I needed a new water pressure regulator, and asked for a price quote for the exact size I needed, via Yelp. Now Yelp is very nice because you can ask multiple plumbers for a quote at the same time, then decide who to go with. However I don't choose based on price alone, because reviews matter to me.

So several plumbers quoted me between $200 and $250, it's only a $50 part. In fact Purdy said We charge $250!. So after evaluating all the responses I choose Purdy, even through there were lower offers. I even supplied photos of the existing regulator, they had all the info.

Now I will say that the plumber, Nadal, that came was very nice and professional. He also showed up on time, which is also very nice. And he cleaned up everything after the replacement, which was nice as well. He was smart and knew what he was doing! We did have a slight miscommunication on the cost, but Ryan made sure I was only charged what they quoted me.

Oh and he wouldn't come in the house without booties on. That's always a plus in my book, a sign of professionalism.

Also it was very convenient to schedule, and they were available the next day.

I need some other plumbing fixes, I think I'll use them again next time.

Recently moved to the area and the drain line in our new home backed up; had water on the floor in the downstairs bathroom and gurgling noises coming from the kitchen sink drain. Not knowing who to call I relied heavily on Yelp reviews and found Purdy Plumbing & Drain. These guys are AWESOME! Left a message and was called back within 10 minutes; appt scheduled within the hour. Andy and Alan showed up on time, clean and professional. They ran a camera through the line to find the problem; roots! They used a motorized plumbing snake to clean the line, cut through the roots and then they ran the camera again to make sure the line was in good condition. Andy and Alan cleaned up their work area once the job was done and even suggested a solution that would prevent water from backing up into the house should it ever happen again. In and out in about 1 hour. Definitely calling again for any future problems. Thanks guys!

So so so happy with these guys! Ryan was so professional from start to finish, keeping me very well-informed the whole way.

I knew after meeting Ryan (and chatting for at least 40 minutes) that he's an honest and trustworthy guy. He sent Chris, an awesome tech, to do the bulk of the work - a fairly complex job involving trenching from the garage to the main line so I can relocate my washing machine to the garage.
This wasn't a cheap job but Ryan gave me a very fair price considering how much work, thought, time, and detail they put into it.

I'd use Purdy again in a heartbeat and there are few plumbers or other contractors I could say that about.

I contacted Purdy based on their great Yelp reviews and I'm so glad that I did. Erin promptly returned my calls, gave me a competitive quote for the services that I wanted and had technician, Chris, come to our house on the day I requested.

Upon arrival, Chris was polite, used shoe covers (without me even asking) and reviewed everything with me from start to finish asking questions along the way to ensure he was addressing our issues correctly. He looked for simple fixes in an effort to save us money!  There was no overselling and no surprises.

Most importantly, as the expert, Chris made excellent suggestions on things that we could do to properly maintain our plumbing and related appliances/fixtures.

I would highly recommend Chris and Purdy Plumbing and Drain. They will be my first and only call for any future needs.

They don't return phone calls!!!  My husband called twice, early yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and again this morning (Friday) requesting plumbing service and his calls were never returned!  I tried myself today and same thing!   All I got was a recording with no information about when they would be back.  I really do not understand how a company with a five star rating on Yelp can't even take care of returning a phone call!!!

There were a slow draining issue in our restroom and floor sink that popped up suddenly.  PURDY was able to run a camera to diagnose where the issue was in the main pipe and snaked it out.  The technician was able to keep our public area clean and the clog removed.  I was thankful it was resolved on the same day.

This company was great. I called as I thought I was dealing with a slab leak but was not sure. The company sent out two guys to take a look and they inspected under my split level. No visible leak. They informed me that they need to come out the next day to perform leak detection.

Today the owner came out at 8:30 in the morning and started to search for the leak. The plumbing in my house is from 1964 and as you would image the regulations where weak so my plunking is a mess. Ryan was at the house for about two hours and found the suspected area for the broken pipe in the slab.

I received a great price to for call and know it's time to battling my home owned insurance to have the repaired performed and hopefully repiping.

I found my new plumber and will be contacting them for future needs.

Amazing work by Chris P.! I was very fortunate to have come across Purdy Plumbing on Yelp!
I just moved to the area and needed my main bath  shower fixtures: shower head, valve, drain and diverter replaced ASAP.
I hired Atlas Plumbing a week prior to fix the water line to my refrigerator and requested a quote for the bathroom work. This company initially quoted me double the price for connecting the water line. When I told them I wasn't interested.... he dropped the price in half. They never reached out to me with the estimate for the bathroom work. When I finally called, again they hit me with a ridiculously overpriced quote. Needless to say I didn't hire them for the job.

I found Purdy Plumbing on Yelp and they sent a plumber, Chris, to give me an estimate for the work. Chris was on time, professional, clean and very direct. He gave me a fair priced quote and did an AMAZING job. He also added an access panel for future access if needed. Chris was friendly, did a professional job and cleaned up afterwards.

I have been dealing with lots of plumbers, electricians, painters and other contracted service companies during the sell of my old place and the purchase of the new home. Chris was top notch! If I ever need additional work.... I'll definitely be requesting his services again. Very satisfied customer.

We have been using Purdy Plumbing since we moved to Fullerton in mid 2020 and they have always been so helpful and kind to our family. Their response time is always prompt and they are wonderful to work with! Their rates are very competitive and reasonable and at the end of they day they want to make sure you and your family are taken care of.

After needing some emergency repairs when we moved in, Jerry helped with re-piping the entire house's water and sewer service. The owner, Ryan, has also been out and helped with repairs to our sewer line from the house to the city and was thorough in explaining what we needed and what options we had. If we have any questions about random plumbing issues in the house, they have made the time show us what repairs or updates we could use.

We've also worked with Alan and Joseph, who most recently came out to help with our gas line and water heater. They were able to make it out the day we called at the end of the day to take a look at what was going on and solved our problem very quickly.

We will continue to use Purdy Plumbing as long as we are in the area and make sure to recommend them to our friends in the area!

I called today because a pipe was leaking inside the drywall of my garage. A plumber came out within the hour, was unfailingly polite, and diagnosed and fixed the source of the problem shortly after arriving (the builder had used a steel support connected to a copper pipe, causing significant corrosion.) These guys provided awesome service. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

It is nice to have an owner such as Ryan Purdy from Purdy Plumbing & Drain corresponding with me thru yelp on my drain problems in the laundry room and I was impressed with the quick response back.

I did have one other company come out to snake out the drain and was still having problems.  I asked the office manager if the owner would come out and instead sent me two service techs that I wasn't sure they knew what was going on.

Anyway, Ryan sent out Andy one of the service techs who showed up at the requested time and showed him the situation that I was in.  He suited up and crawled underneath the house and saw that my drain lines were corroded and when water went down the drain,  it was leaking all over.  It was nice that Andy recorded the leaking pipe on his phone and texted it to my phone so I could show my wife.  The remedy was to remove and replace at least 25 feet of piping with the ABS pipes.  After confirming with my wife that this needed to be done.  Andy wrote up the estimate with a two day turn around to finish.

The following day, Andy & Sergio came and started the job.  One by one the corroded pipes came out that were almost clogged by water not going through causing the build up of sludge preventing water to go through.   The other problem arose when Andy noticed the contaminated muddy dirt from the leakage was near the wood structure causing mold & mildew if not removed.  He had a dependable company PRC Restoration come out and fix the problem.  It was nice to have both companies work side by side.  Both Andy & Sergio had the job done in one day and our drains are no longer overflowing.  Sergio was a master at redoing the drywall since they had to break it inside.  Also, I had the laundry faucets replaced and everything is working great.

Thank you Purdy Plumbing for taking care of our problem and will be using your company for further plumbing needs.

Just want to give a quick review for Purdy Plumbing and Drain.  These guys are great!

I called on Friday because we were having some drainage issue and got set up for an appointment quick.  I got a courtesy call 30-mins before the actual appointment and the plumber came out on time!!!  The plumber was polite and really take the time to explain the issue and what the charge was.  Glad we went with Purdy.  Highly recommends these guys!

I've used Purdy Plumbing several times over the years and they've always impressed me with the speed to respond to an issue and the thoroughness of the work they complete.

I had to reach out to them this week for a clog issue where the water from my shower was backing up into my kitchen sink (two story). They were at my house in under 2 hours. They quickly identified the issue and resolved it with a hydro-flush.

Excellent service,on time, had a cleaned out main line within three hours after calling Purdy. Pricing was reasonable, especially since the tech hydro jetted the line. I've used Purdy Plumbing before and needed a couple items fixed such as my washer's overflow tube not draining and a new fill valve for the toilet. Ryan came over and took care of both items in a very quick manner, was polite and very respectful and responsive and I was impressed with his professionalism. For the future I can't see using another plumbing company unless there is an emergency and Purdy Plumbing can't show up for a few days. From beginning to end, Ryan Purdue was the epitome of professionalism. I have dealt with several plumbers before and Ryan is amongst the best I have worked with.

A new home in Fullerton/Placentia was purchased and the inspector recommended that all galvanized water supply lines be converted to copper piping. The reason being was it was only a matter of time before galvanized pipes would begin to corrode and be rendered ineffective. Low water pressure is what spurred me to begin looking towards repiping. Ryan showed up on time, put booties on when indoors and on the first day, suited up and inspected the piping below the house to give a more accurate estimate. The pricing was reasonable and I knew I didn't want to go cheap on such an important element of a house. I knew I wasn't dealing with just any other plumber when I saw the 5-year guarantee. How many plumbers have that much confidence in their workmanship?

The project took 4 days. Ryan started at 8am and ended his day at 6-7pm. Those are long laborious hours and at the end of the day, Ryan would give me an update. He still was able to laugh and smile even after putting in 10-11 hours of hard work. The PEX/copper repiping was beautiful. Even the third-party dry wall contractors who stopped by to bid on follow-up dry wall work commented on how well the tubes were secured onto 2x4 foundations. They described it as textbook plumbing job and couldn't have been done better.

At the end of the day, Ryan takes great pride in plumbing and it reflects in his product. I am fortunate to have had the chance to work with him and his team.

My hot water was not coming out and the water pressure has always been an issue for my unit.  When I reached out to Purdy Plumbing, the lady who picked up the phone was very friendly, unlike the other places I reached out to. She said she was able to send guys to come out the very next day.

Andy and Jared came to my place right at the appointment time. They took a look at my place and were super nice even though I didn't know much about where everything was.  After taking a look at my place, they thought it was a simple fix by switching out the shower cartridge, which I already purchased while I was doing my own research. So Andy walked me through it and made a few other suggestions for things I can do, such as flushing out the water heater and considering the use of water softener, to help with my water pressure.

Even though they came all the way out here, they didn't charge for anything! A very smooth and great experience.

So I called Purdy out to fix a shower leak yesterday and they came right away and on time. Super clean about all the work, Richie the plumber even wore house booties everytime he came in and out of the house. He fixed the problem and was a super nice guy and a great worker. HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB...so the next day I went to shower and now the leak got worse and the faucet shower would not even turn in. So I called Purdy and they said NO WORRIES...Aamd sent Richie out the same day...He addressed the problem right away no extra charge fixed it perfect..Richie was hands down a great plumber and a hands down a hard worker...super respectful and professional....I STRONGLY RECCOMEND YOU USE PURDY PLIMBING and if you get Richie than u are Definitely in good hands...Thanks Purdy ans THANKS TO RICHIE

Wow! Andy was AWESOME. In and out in like 45 mins. We had a leaky toilet and knew the wax ring needed to be replaced. They quoted me over the phone prior to Andy's arrival. Called to request a quote for a gas leak situation.  Spoke to Nicole who was very professional and super nice.  She asked to call me right back with appointment availability.  She called back in 5 minutes to let me know someone would be out to my home within an hour.

Art showed up on time.  He explained the testing process to determine where the gas leaks were coming from.  The testing took the exact amount of time he said it would. He provided me with a very fair pricing quote to fix the gas leaks.  He also emailed the quote to me via email which was great!  We agreed to have the work done with Purdy and Art the following day.

Art left me a text prior to the appointment time to let me know he was on the way.  His level of customer care was  FANTASTIC!  He explained everything in detail!  The job was completed in a very timely manner. The price was exactly the amount quoted. GREAT JOB!!  I will be using Purdy Plumbing from now on!!  Good help is hard to find and I thank you!!!

Robert was the tech who recently serviced the leak at my home. He came early and finished the job quickly with minimal inconvenience, overall great job. To reiterate, I will continue to use them for any issues that arise.

Ryan did amazing work for us. He went above and beyond. Came to hydrojet our kitchen drain pipe because it was completely clogged. He took his time and did a great job. I've never seen water flow down the drain this fast. He even took care of other issues he saw along the way like creating the dishwasher air gap and installing rubber gaskets in between the drainage pipes.
He gave me a really good quote, compared to his competitor who tried to charge me for over double the amount.

Came out the same day to fix a clogged pipe for the entire house. Needed to install a larger clean out to clear roots. Temporary fix the first day. Back two days later for the pipe replacement. Fast and reasonable price. Recommended!
Update! New issue a few weeks later. Wife calls right at 5 pm. Richie is her in minutes and resets the seals on both toilets. Wife happy now. Thanks Purdy!

We needed a shower valve replacement and called around for a few estimates.  We got one for over $1000, and two that were for $425 labor only, $625 if parts included.  One of these more reasonable estimates came from Purdy - and in the end we went with them because: one, the other plumber wouldn't even bother coming over to look first, and would only give an estimate over the phone... and two, they've got amazing Yelp reviews!  

Chris was extremely punctual when he came over for both the estimate, as well as the job itself, and spent a lot of time doing his work with great care.  Due to a little bit of miscommunication, we had an unfinished detail that Ryan (the owner) graciously came back to complete.  He even went out of his way to offer a post-job discount to ameliorate the situation (I turned down the discount, but really appreciated the fact that he offered it!)  He, and Erin (the receptionist) are super polite, friendly, and professional, before AND after the job is done!    

We've used several plumbers at our home since we've owned it, but for various reasons (overpriced, not locally based, no common sense, etc) we've had to keep looking for someone new.  I speak from experience when I say that Purdy is a fantastic business to support because they are reasonably priced with fantastic customer service, work flexible hours, and are local!!!  Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Chris came in, hooked up the water line for my ice maker and was in and out in about 1.5 hrs. I was told to expect him between noon and 2pm and he was done before that. I was quite surprised. Work was done well and everything was explained. Very clean, and polite. Definitely recommended.

Purdy plumbing will not be truthful to you and will drop you off on Thursday until who knows....

Here is my experience:

Last Tuesday they showed up to exchange my shower handles with new trim. The parts were hard to find so the plumber called their 'hard to find' parts supplier and requested the exact brand and finish needed. Their supplier had the parts in stock.  I know this as I was a party to the call with the supplier and plumber and heard him say so.  The plumber left the job on Tuesday at 11am to get the parts himself( again I was on the call) and would return first thing Thursday to install.

I was called on Thursday at 11am, after the install should have been done, I left a key with the plumber and my painters were on site so access was not the issue.  I was informed that the a mistake was made and the parts were not the the parts and that the correct ones I'll be in the following week.  I inquired how this happened and the person on the phone said the manager picked up the parts not the plumber who left my job to do so, it so he lied to me.  

I inquired if the manager knew the parts to get and found out he was just a flunky guy, not the manager not the plumber.  Glad to know this was the reason... That made us feel real good...Hmmm, another lie.

And if they knew on Tuesday via Mr flunky, how come it took them until after the job should have been finished to tell me they don't even have the parts ? Deception is a lie too, another one...

I asked to speak with the plumber directly and the scheduler said he would call me.  He did not and when I called again.. Purdy plumbing is booked through the weekend and we will return calls Monday' another lie...and now we are dropped off with no communication to reschedule, take time off work to meet the plumber, nor do we know when the parts really will come in... They lied three times, left us hanging.  

Is that the type of plumber you want?  Redneck butt crack cowboys... The girl on the phone reminded me of a ditsy valley girl with no comprehensible knowledge of anything...Other than how to lie to you.

It is not a Purdy situation....Yelp needs to allow negative stars.

They found a way to squeeze me in between appointments on same day notice. Chris was my technician and his service and professionalism was top notch!! The pricing was as fair as it gets. We had a gas leak with the fireplace and was told by SoCal gas that the wall would need to be removed for the repair. Chris was able to fix it in 15 minutes without any kind of demolition. Highly recommend for quality of customer service, price, and efficiency!!

In short, Purdy Plumbing is AMAZING.  I called Purdy after having a bad experience with the plumbing company our home warrany sent out.  Chris was able to come out on the same day and did a very thorough inspection and quickly diagnosed a slab leak.  Chris was extremely professional and very polite.  He was able to explain plumbing terms in a manner that made sense to me.  We felt very at ease and in capable hands. Purdy Plumbing is the only plumber you will ever need!!! Do not hesitate if you need a plumber!

Very happy with their service. Andy was the service person that came over and he was very good. He first listened to what my problem was and then he went on the roof to put a camera in and later showed me a possible problem. He then gave me a few options with no pressure. He gave me quotes on all three, I made my decision and the office said he would be out the next day. Andy went above what he had too and he billed me what I was quoted. Very happy!

I recently purchased a new home and upon move in I discovered the sellers broke the water line behind the refrigerator.  Unfortunately, I didn't discover this prior to turning on the water.  Grrrrrr.

I called Purdy Plumbing and Andy & Alan were at my doorstep within the hour.  They were professional and completed the work in a timely fashion.  I appreciated the fact that they kept their workspace clean and tidy and made sure to keep a watchful out for my dog who likes to escape out the front door.

Throughout repairing the refrigerator line and completing additional work that was needed on the older valves outside, they kept me up to speed on the work that was being done.

Happy to have finally found a plumbing company that I can trust and depend on :).

That time I gave five stars to the plumbing company...

I've used Purdy twice and both times the results have been excellent.  I had a busted pipe in the wall and a nasty clogged pipe that I couldn't work out myself.  For both incidents, I was able to get someone out the same day to come and help.

Aside from their amazing availability, they're always up front about the pricing (if it's clear what the issue is).  Sometimes a company will lead with a price and then uh-oh! so and so happened so we have to charge an extra this or that  Not with Purdy - their pricing is consistent and I paid exactly what was quoted over the phone and by the tech when he came out.

I've worked with two different techs and both were helpful, friendly, and expertly fixed the issue they were dealing with.  It was pretty easy and painless.  They also clearly explained what they were doing and why.  I've recommended them to some family and friends and if I have another plumbing related issue, they're the first, second, and third company I'll call.  When I first moved it to my place I dealt with a handful of plumbing related issues and got stuck working with a pretty terrible company that overcharged and did more harm than good (I don't want to name names so I won't mentioned Atlas outright, I'll just call them company X).  When I got sick of dealing with company X, I found Purdy here on Yelp and they've been my go to solution ever since.

No one likes calling out the plumber, but I'm honestly grateful that I know of a company I have 100% confidence in.  Don't hesitate, make Purdy your first choice if you have a plumbing issue.

Nadel called when he was 15 minutes away which I liked and he was on time which I really liked. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He installed a regulator pressure valve and did not mind me watching and asking questions.

At one time I would have given Purdy Plumbing & Drain a 5 star review. I use plumbers a few times a month to repair rentals and inspect homes for my clients. The last few times I used Purdy they missed some very important issues and were not very responsive costing my clients extra time and money to re-repair issues.

This is my second time using Purdy Plumbing for my plumbing issues and they are the BEST!  The first time was with Ryan a few months ago and gave a very fair price for the great work he did.  The second time was with Chris who helped me out today.  Said he already identified the problem before he arrived, and was able to fix the issue with a simple screwdriver free of charge!  Had no idea it was such an easy fix.  I'm so thankful he came over to show me how to repair it should the problem happen again.  Chris also provided an estimate if the whole shower handle ever needed replacing in the future.  He was also very punctual and came to the house not more than an hour after calling the company!  So happy!!

Purdy Plumbing and Drain is a very good company.  We've dealt with 3-4 other companies in the past and we wish we would've found Purdy much sooner.  Would've saved us thousands and time.

We've had root issues in the sewer lines and this time one of the national branded companies came out.  After jetting out the roots and uncovering one issue after another, they quoted us 3 options, with the cheapest being over $15,000.  I called around and found Purdy, a local company right here in Fullerton and Andy came out right away and gave us a second look.  Andy then gave us options with the most extensive work equaling in scope with the other company's highest level proposal but costing a lot less than the  the other company's lowest level work .  And there was no sales pressure.  Andy just showed me the pictures and told it to me as it is.

As we did the work a few small issues came up and that pushed the number of days of work from 2 to 4.  One issue is the sewer line that went into the house. I asked Andy to have the line that went into the house cleaned out by descaling it.  With a camera, we can see that the original cast iron pipe was in bad shape.  I opted for additional service and now the lines are lined and should give us trouble free use for decades.

I would highly recommend Purdy.  Service was great:  Options with reasonable prices were given.  The work was well done.  Andy finished late into the last day because one of the lining segments did not turn out satisfactory and they decided to redo a section.  They do the work right and didn't rush.  I saw the picture of the sewer lines after the work was done and wow!  I was impressed.  Some 120+ feet of lines were either lined or repiped without breaking into our decorative concrete walkway.  Should have no more root problems.

I would also highly recommend Purdy to do pre-purchase inspection of homes.  This would've saved us a lot of headaches to take care of this early.  Purdy is a local company (Fullerton) that can be trusted to do the work well and at a reasonable price.

We recently sold our home and the buyer's inspector said our water heater and garbage disposal had leaks. Chris came out and gave us a free estimate. The cost to repair our water heater was very reasonable, compared to 2 other quotes I got. Also, Chris thoroughly inspected our garbage disposal and found no leaks, so he saved me money there because he was honest about it not needing repairs. He was professional, courteous and even took the time to explain everything he was doing. I would definitely recommend Purdy Plumbing!

I have been using Purdy Plumbing for about 4 or 5 years. I feel they are reasonably priced and honest. Most importantly,  they stand behind their work. I've had them repair my my old main line (original clay pipe) where they reinforced with fiberglass. I've also had clean out pipes installed due to my funky layout of my plumbing pipes in my 1924 house. Today I had issues  with one of the bathrooms backing up. They came out same day and sent the Plumber who did the clean out pipe installation.  Andy remembered my funky layout and looked up my info prior to arriving.  I didn't need to provide any additional info. It ended up being a simple clean out but Andy knew exactly where to look, came with all the right equipment including the camera.  Andy and Angel were awesome. Very helpful and friendly.

Another plumber snaked the line and left, when it backed up again I called Ryan and he actually diagnosed a major problem. I got a couple estimates and his was most reasonable.  Once work began he was on site everyday (including weekends) until work was finished. I also had him add plumbing for a toilet and sink for my addition.

Couldn't ask more of a contractor & glad I found him on yelp!

Honest and reliable.  Purdy technician came out and did 2 hr tankless water heater flushing and we got hot water!  Another company sent a technician out, did nothing and proceeded to say that we would need an entire new water filtration system in order to get hot water back, for $8500.

Congratulations. You have found your plumber. We had a moving truck run over our yard and crack a pipe. Got 3 quotes and they were all in the same range. Purdy had the best reviews, quoted me with pictures and there was no pressure.

On the day of service, Ryan called in advance and let me know he was coming. Upon arrival he spent 15 minutes looking it over before deciding that he wanted to use a different fitting than what he had. No problem, he left for 15 minutes to purchase what he needed, came back and went to work.

I only mention this because I think another plumber would of just made it work with what they had with but Ryan has standards and is willing to put the time in to do quality job.

He spent couple hours and everything came out perfect. I only wish I took a picture. The best part was the valve had a handle with Purdy Plumbing and a phone number on it. He literally puts his name on his work!

Ryan came out to look at the clog in the washer and a bathroom. He really worked the bathroom and took out some really nasty hairballs! He could have stopped and maybe tried to outsell me on hydrojetting but he kept at the snake to unclog both.

Nice work and a nice guy. Wearing shoe covers was a nice touch.

We needed our cleanout emptied because our main had clogged. Andy came out during the time window that we'd been given when we called this morning. He really knew his stuff and was thorough--no shortcuts or guessing, which was nice. He listened to us (we've been dealing with our cleanout for a few years now, so we have backstory that's usually helpful to the plumbers who come to help us with it) and gave us our options and then got to work. He worked diligently and explained what he was doing every step of the way, even showing us what he saw on the camera and answering any of our questions while he worked. I have a restaurant in Huntington Beach and I've used Purdy Plumbing and Drain for as long as hes been in business. Ryan Purdue is one of the most honest people Ive ever met in his profession. His work is exemplary, on time, and always fair. He's replaced the piping under my dish sink, most recently my water heater, and is always quick to snake my drain in an emergency. He's never tried to over sell me, and has always gave me options pertaining to the job he was doing. IE you can wait on this, or you really need to fix this.  I couldn't be happier with his work and professionalism. As long as Im in business he'll always have business with me. I highly recommend him as a plumber.

It is hard to find a good honest plumber.  Purdy came recommended to me by a co-worker who had a good experience.  I got good work at a fair price.  I didn't catch the name of the nice man who fixed ,not one, but TWO bathrooms for me.  Arrived on time, was polite, explained everything that needed to be done and gave me the cost up front.  I waited for a long time before having the work done because I was afraid of being gouged.  I am now recommending Purdy to others.

The best money can buy. I really cannot say enough good things about Purdy.

They have probably been out to my house 5 times for various issues. Each time they have gone above and beyond. One time they gave me a free look into the sewage lines under my house with a camera. Another time they showed me how to light the pilot on my water tank, also as a courtesy.

They have fixed leaks, they have replaced lines, they have installed new faucets. I have no complaints and if I ever request any adjustments, they make them for me right away. They are polite, and they are here when they say they will be here.

Call them if you want the best plumbers you can find at any price.

I contacted Purdy through Yelp and they responded very quickly to setup an appointment. The technician came promptly (earlier than the appointment time...I feel it's rare if someone shows up on time nowadays!) and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed my kitchen sink issue. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I asked a lot of questions and he was very helpful. Gas company shut off our gas due to apparent gas leak in garage in early December.  Called Purdy to diagnose and repair the leak.  Technician came out and diagnosed problem for $250.  Quoted an additional $650 to repair the leak behind the wall in the garage (to replace 8 feet of gas line, 4-5 hours required).

We called another company for a 2nd opinion.  They came and repaired the leak in 1 hour, performing a less thorough, but effective repair.  Gas company came out and turned the gas back on.  All is working fine.

I'm a retired DIY type of person, so I have time to work on my home myself; but there are some situations where I have to cry Uncle, and ask for outside help.

I have called upon Purdy Plumbing and Drain three other times in the past, for major drain and plumbing issues in our 65 year-old home, and I would normally have just called them first when I ran into a new problem with some old galvanized pipes in our bathroom that I'm trying to re-do myself; but as a fixed-income senior couple, my wife and I have recently had several unexpected drains on our money, so I had to ask for quotes from about a half-dozen local (Fullerton, California) plumbers to make sure we were getting the best offer on the work.

As it turns out, Ryan, at Purdy Plumbing and Drain got right back to us with a price and appointment plan that none of the other local plumbers could beat...

And today, true to the scheduled appointment, Ryan arrived with the right tools and attitude, and quickly took care of the problem that had given me a sleepless night over concern for any additional problems that might be caused by the old pipes.

Tonight, I'm going to get a good night's rest, knowing that Ryan got rid of the final hurdle I had to jump before I could move forward on restoring our bathroom!

If you live anywhere near Fullerton, California, and you need help with your plumbing problems, I don't believe you'll find a better company to call for help.

Amazing, reliable, fast service. I called around noon for a clogged toilet, they came out within an hour and helped clear the clog in about 20 minutes. Great customer service and very communicative from start until finish.

Just had Andy from Purdy out to hydrojet a drain line in the yard.  He was here on time and called before coming as I had requested.  He put the camera in the line to determine the amount of debris and provided me with a price for cleaning it.  He then hydrojetted the line in passes and used his camera to determine if the debris had been fully removed.  He did an excellent job for a reasonable price.  Would recommend this company to family and friends needing either hydrojetting or plumbing services.

I called two plumbing places. Purdy had a significantly better price for the job I needed.

Chris came on time. He was very friendly and courteous. He explained everything he was doing and truly went above and beyond to provide great service. I will continue using Purdy for all my plumbing needs and strongly recommend them.

Fast and friendly service. I called in around 9:45, and they had the guy out here at 10:45. Keep in mind that their $45 drain unclog isn't for any drain unclog as advertised, but for drains with an outside access. If they go inside your home, it's quite a bit more. Luckily for me, I had one for my kitchen sink. Thanks for the good service!

Andy ( the plumber) was Rude and arrogant while discussing the work cost and told me its not a swap meet.I wont trust or consider these people for any future work. Unfortunately no zero star otherwise I will give ZERO star.

I had a leaky, old faucet in the garage. I went on yelp and found Purdy plumbing. After reviewing the reviews, and I decided to give them a shot. I called the office and they were able to have a technician come out on the same day. The technician Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to fix the leak in a timely manner and went over what his plan was to help solve the problem. What I really liked was his honesty! Pretty fair in pricing. And was able to get a 1 year warranty on the parts. I was very happy at the end of the service. Highly recommend anyone to give this company a call. I'll definitely be calling again if I need their service in the future.

This review is for Nicole.
I've used this company a few times in the past, and the service they offered were very professional. For the reason, I have their number on my phone so that I can make a call when needs arise. This time, the property had a water heater emergency. I made a call and inquired their availability.

Nicole answered the phone and listened to the issue. She recognized the emergency, and it needed to be taken care of immediately, but their technicians weren't available until the following day. Nicole then gave me a referral, which turned out fantastic. But I was more impressed with Nicole's care for customers. She could've made me wait for their technicians to be available, but she recognized my need and gave me a referral. Later time, I happened to find out that Nicole was happy that I had a great service from the company she referred to me.

My trust for this company is even bigger now. They prioritize the best interest in customers. Nicole was very quick and handled the matter appropriately.
I appreciate her good work ethic.

PURDY PLUMBING, another job well done. This is my second time using them, this time it was installing a recessed gas line connection for my stove. The old one was placed on the outside of the drywall, and because of it, my stove was not fitting flush against the wall; it was sticking out 4 or 5 inches off the wall. I didn't like this. So I again called PURDY PLUMBING, and they sent out CHRIS. He did an amazing job. The gas line is much cleaner looking now and as well much more useful. Also, when dealing with gas lines you have to be very careful. CHRIS double checked and triple checked right in front of me to show me the gas line connections were secure, as well as, no leaks. He was actually able to identify a gas leak in my stove (because I had complained about being able to smell gas when I called) and he tightened and sealed my stove at no additional charge. PURDY PLUMBING and CHRIS again did an excellent job and I am very grateful for their services! I would definitely recommend PURDY PLUMBING. Their prices are very fair and their Services are well above average.

I wish I can give more than 5 stars if Yelp allow me to. A experience with Purdy was unbelievably amazing!

We had a leaking problem at kitchen sink for several weeks and a plumber we used to work with was not showing up for 3 weeks. As soon as we called Purdy, we were regret that we didn't call them in the first place.

Chris P., our technician, was most polite, meticulous, proficient technician we ever met. He was a first technician who wears shoe covers in our house (in Asian culture, we don't wear shoes in the house and other plumbers always left their footmarks all over the place.), a first technician who mopped the floor completely after work is done (AMAZING!!! It was so clean, I didn't even have to retouch it.) and a first technician who honestly charge the payment (during the work, he was out for about 20 minutes to get a part and he subtracted that amount of time cost). I wanted to give him some tip, but he politely refuse to take it and said it is his duty to make his customer happy. How can you not loving this guy and his company!!! After this amazing service, I can't think of any other plumber company but Purdy.

Really happy with the service from Purdy. Our technician was super knowledgeable, and professional. Had our sink leak, and gas leak fixed in no time. Cost was reasonable. Will definitely use them again, if a need arises.

Yelp does it again!!!

Late last night, I spent the better part of an hour plunging my toilet.  For the past two weeks, with each run of the shower, the toilet bubbled; but I shrugged it off.  (I swear my bathroom's haunted!)  I'd already snaked the airvents last month, but nothing worked...nothing.  So the next morning (a Saturday), I checked Yelp for local plumbers...  (I hate plumbers, by the way.)

Ryan Purdue--very cool and very professional--is Purdy Plumbing & Drain's owner and sole proprietor.  He answered my call at 7:30am, made an appointment with me for that afternoon, showed up ON TIME, wore BOOTIES over his work shoes so as not to track dirt or mud into the house, diagnosed the problem, dealt with my sewage lines, and offered me an estimate for his work that floored me!  (More on that later.)

My problem was major root intrusion in the main sewer line, which Ryan proceeded to clear by way of the secondary line in the kitchen.  (I paid attention!)  Apparently, I don't have a drain cleanout,--an entry point into the home's drainage system that allows clogs to be easily removed--so Ryan will be installing one later; but that wasn't the most amazing part (see photos).

Ryan set up this snake-like camera and inserted it into the darkened stench of the toilet's bowels.  I watched the monitor while the camera navigated its way through over 60' of drainage pipes underneath my house and below the front yard.  And there they were: ROOTS!  It was disgusting!  No wonder everything was clogged.

Anyway, Ryan then went out to my front yard with this radar-type gun so that he may detect the exact position of the camera, laying next to the roots that were pushing their way through the pipe's connectors.  That damned spot, then, will be where Ryan will install a drain cleanout.  Once that's in place, whenever a router or snake is needed, this will be the point of entry.

The cost for today's work, you ask?  Ryan was here for three hours...three!  Go ahead, take a guess.  His cost: $150.  (I wrote him a check for $200.)  Seriously, I have a doctor, an optometrist, a dentist, a broker, and even a lawyer.  But, now, I can also say that I have a plumber: a trustworthy one, one whom I don't hate, one who (like the rest of my entourage) is on my side.  And I'll bet he's willing to take your side as well.  Call Ryan.  He's a good guy.  He'll do your dirty work.

I called several plumbing services before I called Purdy. We had a leak coming from second floor to our kitchen ceiling downstairs. A lot of ridiculous estimates and prices. It was worth paying the 89 inspection fee because he found the leak immediately without having to open up what other plumbers said they had to open up. The total fee was like 120, because they subtract the inspection fee once the work is done. It was minimal opening up and perfect repair. Other plumbing companies gave us ridiculous estimates like 800. They also wore stuff over their shoes to keep our floor clean.

This review is LONG overdue. We found Purdy Plumbing through its incredible Yelp rating. Since Day 1, we have been impressed with their service. We have had faucets and garbage disposals replaced, our entire plumbing system replaced (our house is 1950s and had the original), and various clogs fixed over the years. They are timely and professional. They are also reasonable with how much they charge. We will never use anyone else unless Purdy goes away. This is a top-notch group of folks.
