Rubio came out and correctly diagnosed my A/C issues and found the actual problem that was causing the issues with the system that others missed. Great customer experience and very glad to finally have the answers I was looking for. Will call NextGen for all of my future air conditioning needs.

I called, he wouldn't give me his name and was not very friendly at all. Said my project was too small, that it would be 3-4 weeks out, and wouldn't be worth it. I said that kind of attitude wouldn't get him a good review. Then he started arguing with me, so i hung up.

Then he called me back to argue more. I hung up again. He called again, but I have learned my lesson. I won't be calling him again.

EDIT- I have dropped my rating to 1 star: The business responded with a phone number that doesn't work.

And no, I am not confused. I was told it wouldn't be worth it. And the message left on my voicemail after it was rude and condescending. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company like this?

Brian Shirley came over and made a very competitive estimate. His guys were over the following week and knocked out the job in two days with very little disruption to the house. The installers were thorough, polite and neat. They cleaned up after themselves and instructed me as to how to operate and maintain the unit. They made sure I was happy with their work before leaving the house.. couldn't be happier. Now if Thies unit lasts 60 years like our old one did we will have gotten our money's worth and more!

A few months  ago we needed a new hvac for our condo.  The area rep. Dennis was a great help.  He responded so quickly and within a couple of days the project was done.  This was our second time using this company and I have been so pleased with their service and quality product.  Some patch work needed to be done and they even did that!  Other hvac companies couldn't offer that.  And their price was very fair.  This is a great company!

Having bought this house in 2011, we had the original central air and furnace from when the house was built in 1986. I have tried to maintain it as best as I could but it finally took a dump on me this past summer. I have been getting estimates for over 6 months and the entire process has been horrible. Every company I have talked to were trying to pressure me like they were drug dealers into buying their system. This past week, I reached out to Nexgen for a quote and they sent James. He looked at the system and asked me what I wanted to do, no pressure at all. So after talking it over with my wife, we agreed to get a new furnace. After contacting James for the purchase, he had mentioned that his manager was willing to give me a deal on an entire system. The quote was 10k less than most and we were sold. On the day of installation they sent Mark and his team to do the work. Let me tell you, Mark is a perfectionist and his attention to detail was impeccable. Once he was in his zone, there was no stopping him. His management of the crew was second to none and if I could hire him I would. NexGen really scored with him. Throughout the process I was constantly updated by management and even had a quality assurance manager named Bo on-site to inspect and help out. You can tell this company cares about its work, and it's employees by the way they carried themselves towards each other and with a smile. When it comes to AC service you can't beat NexGen!

I had a new air and heating system put
into my house .Dennis Rulli gave  us an estimate . Work with us and got us a great price   to fit our budget . He was courteous,
friendly,   knowledgeable.
Technician Ramiro came right away and remove my old wall heater , taped it He did a great job.
A  crew of six came in to  demo and install the system in 2days!

Esvin morales and Walter Aparicio were great! They  stayed late and made sure there were no leaks or any. other problems. They explained clearly how  to use the thermostat. ,They left everything clean , no trash was left behind. We're very satisfied customers and would recommend  Nexgen highly!  R & L

Got an appointment window for 2-3pm, no one showed. No update given to me, so I called and they told me my driver had just been dispatched and I would receive an ETA.

Half hour goes by, no ETA, so I call again and they tell me they don't know when the technician will be arriving. Had to cancel and go with someone else.

UPDATE: Technician showed up after I wrote this review and provided good service.

Very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the technician. Jose V from the Northridge location was able to diagnose and repair our a/c and heater unit. The job was completed same day at an affordable rate. Jose was thorough in explaining everything that needed to be repaired. He even noticed an issue with our drainage pipe from the roof and repaired it. The customer service over the phone was great as well. They were courteous and called same day to ensure my scheduling needs were being met. Would highly recommend nexgen and will use them for future needs.

So eager to grab all the business from yelp without reading the post to see what I am asking for.  So many back and forth messages only for me to call and be told they can't remove a packaged unit from the roof if they didn't install it.  Sorry for wanting to put in energy efficient mini split heat pumps that are much more responsive to the needs of the household and the environment and can be located appropriately for ease of access and service away from the direct sunlight heating the machine up and reducing its efficiency.

Three separate companies told us a HVAC system is faulty and needed to be changed. Ronaldo from nexgen came and quickly realized the electrical panel had faulty wires and fixed the problem. Our HVAC now works great and we didn't even need to replace it. Thanks nexgen! Yasmin and Ronaldo are both great.

We definitely had a NexGen technician come out. How can we prove it? We can prove it because we learned that every tech's picture on Yelp bags them a free pair of tickets to an Angels baseball game compliments of your company.

Back to your comment. Either your techs are intentionally trained to make up unnecessary, fairy tale repairs costing customers thousands $$$$ of dollars (which happened to us), or your techs are horribly trained that they don't know to use the process of elimination by starting with the cheapest solution before gradually moving up to more expensive ones thereby helping customers save money. Thankfully, the Internet is a great teacher and helped us know what the average cost of real repairs should be (not that we needed to do any of the repairs that was made up by your technician).

In the end, we called another company who took a truly honest look at our HVAC problem, determined it was a bad capacitor, charged us $75 plus labor and left. Our system is now purring with ice cold air.

Nexgen installed a brand new heating and air conditioning system in my home in 2018. The installation went smooth and I would like to say here that I was very happy about their professionalism (as they demand top dollar for their service, I was also expecting nothing but the best). When Jeff K was selling me this system, he noted that I will get six years of a FREE tuneup. First of all, they never called me to tune up the system in 2019. I called them in March 2020 to tune up the system. They were very professional to set up an appointment immediately, and a technician came at the scheduled time for a tuneup. Now here things are getting a bit off track! The technician said in your service contract, we didn't mention about FREE filter, and in fact, they didn't. Changing the filter is one of the important aspects of the new system tune-up, and it's not included. When I inquired, Nexgen said they can provide me a 1-inch filter for free, although my system needs 4-inch filter (!!!!!). In Amazon, you can buy this 4-inch filter for around $16. I didn't find any justification why NexGen denied to provide a $16 worth of air filter with their annual service agreement.

Summary: If you deal with them, please don't forget to write everything in the contract...what you will get in details. For example what will be included in the yearly maintenance serving package and what not!

I scheduled an appointment to have our air conditioner serviced just for an annual checkup. I was able to get an appointment for the next day.

Jose was the one scheduled to service the ac unit. I just have to say how incredibly chill and nice he was when he showed up. He was stuck at our gate and didn't have a way to get in. He was patient as I instructed him where to park.

He's a soft spoken guy and when I explained what issues I was having, he was telling me how to remediate the issues. He was thorough in his explanations.

I'm really satisfied with the service I received. It seems our air conditioner is working properly and everything looked good. Thanks Jose!

Our almost 30 year old HVAC died on us after crazy heatwaves. The nights were also hovering around 80 degrees and my partner and I decided it was time to get a new system. We got a few quotes and even though it wasn't the cheapest quote we received, NexGen had the best offer.

We're extremely happy with the end result so far. Workers were professional and clean in their workspaces. Holes were patched and painted well. They even called to follow up on the job and give us an ETA on when to expect the custom size supply grills. When we noticed it was wired to be a one stage when we had a two stage compressor it was promptly resolved. There was a weird issue with their communication system which delayed callback messages, but they said they were aware of the problem and in the process of fixing it.

Now, we're just waiting for the HERS testing, while enjoying an efficient HVAC in a much cooler house! Overall highly recommend this company.

This is a great company. I felt very taken care of. Dennis came on time to our appointment and then guided me through all my options. He made himself available to me when I had questions, even at 7 pm!  He was professional and polite. The next day a crew was here bright and early and were also very professional and friendly. The office was easy to deal with and provided great customer service. This company is very accommodating, efficient, and friendly. Highly recommended!!!!

We had drain problems reoccurring over the last several years and had gone with quick fixit crews in past. This time we Called NexGen in hopes of resolving once and for all. They snaked and then sent a camera down drain where we found some structural concerns which were causing the reoccurrence. Crew did a quality job in relining the pipe and getting it flowing again. They were knowledgeable, fast, clean, and reasonable in the process. Thanks much !

We had a great experience with NexGen, Desi was wonderful. He was nice, respectful of our property, talked us through everything he had to do and how it worked after he was done. Mede very sure everything was working properly with zero issues before he left. We had some quite costly work that needed to be done and they were fairly priced for the work. In our case it was time sensitive work as well and they were able to come out and get it done the next day!

This company advertises in the Antelope Valley and there map of service covers the Antelope Valley. The staff on the line answered my questions for tune up to my system as well as for water heater estimate for future replacement. Provided all my information and got an appointment date for hvac and plumber. All good correct? Negative. They talk a good game but service your area no. I receive a call back an hour later by a representative stating they do not service Lancaster. I told the rep you advertise and I see your repair vehicles in the area plus the map of service covers the area. In addition your customer service rep took my information and booked me an appointment. The representatives respond I'm sorry that person is new and is in training, well that is a failure on the company not the customer service person. The representative goes on to say we don't cover Lancaster. When told you advertise in the area, have vehicles in area and your map shows service in the area. Response I'm sorry with no explanation. You need service do not contact NexGen. They play a game but not provide the quality of service that the owner talks about when placed on hold to listen to his speech. Needless to say thanks but no thanks.

I am very satisfied that Ruben Ramos the warranty technician came on a Sunday afternoon when it was 96° outside and  fixed a leak from the AC unit in the attic  that was leaking water into the master bedroom. Ruben is very polite and professional and got the job done. He explained exactly what the problem was and how he would fix it. I would recommend NEXGEN to friend for great customer service.

Edgar was our technician with NexGen. He was prompt, honest and was here working diligently to fix our AC for over 3 hours! Yes, the repair was costly but so far worth it! We will see over the next few months, and with summer approaching, how our AC works during these hot summer days. I would absolutely recommend this company with Edgar as your tech.

I called a few businesses for estimates to service our 4 large commercial units.  Very courteous staff at N gave me a very reasonable quote so I made an  appointment.  Mark was punctual and explained beforehand what he was going to be doing.  We had a few issues that need to be taken care of plus the service. It was done in a timely manner and the bill didn't brake the bank.  As a matter of fact it was extremely reasonable.  Will certainly be using their services from now on!

I had Connor come to do maintenance on my tankless water heater. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He explained everything in a way that i can understand. Totally recommend Connor!!
Jesus did my HVAC maintenance and he took his time doing his checks. I had great experience with both technicians and loved how i could schedule for two different systems at once! Would totally call them again for any plumbing or HVAC issues (which i hope not to have)

I wasn't going to write a review about Nexgen originally because we decided to go with another company. About a week ago we had our heater serviced by a Mom and Pop Shop , the technician told us that we shouldn't use our system anymore because it was giving off carbon monoxide and may be harmful to my wife and I and our  2 young children. We requested a quote from that tech to replace the furnace knowing that it could be a lot and came back with a quote of $10k because our ducting was asbestos. Wanting to get a second opinion I reached out to Yelp to request quotes. NexGen was quick to respond and came out a couple of hours later. When the technician came out he just did a visual look at the furnace and asked what we wanted and then proceeded on questioning, What do you want from me?, What do you want me to tell you?, and kept repeating that. I explained that we had two young children and we were told the furnace was letting off carbon monoxide. He then told me that they couldn't compete with Mom and Pop Shops and that unless we agreed with doing the whole system with them, he wouldn't do the job at all. We agreed to have him price the whole job out. When he was done he had 3 quotes which I appreciated. He told us about this new system that they were 1 of 3 companies in the state that were authorized to install. A VRV made by Daikin that was originally used in commercial applications and was now being adapted for residential use and would help save on our power usage, coming in at just over $30k. Wanting us to commit right on the spot we needed to discuss after all that is the cost of a car and that we would have to discuss it with my mother in-law that lived in the guest house and would be helping pay for this as it was going to give her central air and heat in her place. We discussed it and decided to call the original Mom and Pop Shop out to see if they could do the same system after all I did some research after the Nexgen tech left as he told me too and we wanted that VRV system. The next day the original contractor came out and told us he could do the exact same system and add in an additional zone in the house and added like a catwalk in our attic and all smart WIFI thermostats, so we decided to go with them. My mother in-law decided to text the technician from Nexgen and tell him thank you, but we were going with another company and he responded with, Was it the price?, not exactly as we paid a little bit more and then continued  to text, I see you didn't want to go with the inverter system, VRV. NO, we did and we got it from the original Mom and Pop Shop, that didn't push us to sign the contract. We are happy with our choice and do thank  Nexgen for giving us the idea of the VRV, which we love. I just urge anyone that uses them and any company for that matter, if it is a large purchase then get second opinions and don't let anyone pressure you into committing to a job unless you have fully thought about it.

What an amazing company, I had them install a heater at another property and they were fair priced and prompt installation.

Had an issue with a tankless water heater at a new location and called them just because I am familiar with their company. But WOW, what a service they have provided.

The estimator came on time and took a look at the heater for free, he arrived on time with a super clean presentation and after discussing our option he called the company to send a technician to repair it instead. I waited 2 days because all of their techs were booked already.

JOE came on Friday at exactly the time I was told (minutes included) and was super friendly, he got the heater working and even explained me what was wrong at what he was going to be doing to fix it. I called them back today because the heater stopped working again and ALL THE STAFF at NEXGEN was super helpful. They even rescheduled JOE's next appointment to send him to our property.

Hope I don't have any other issues with water heater, furnace or AC but if I do I will certainty be giving them a call

I called them to schedule for in-house diagnostics and to give a me a price for a new residential AC unit. I am a registered CA professional mechanical engineer and I know how this works...I design hospitals and universities...so imagine what a residential unit would sound to be in compare to the large scale projects I do. The sales person was on time and looked professional (that's what I guess the true sales person needs to be). Anyway, my existing unit is a 4-ton and he was trying to convince that a replaced 3-ton unit will do. The quote I received from NexGen was literally more than double the quote I received from 4 other contracts. Note again that the unit tonnage NexGen quoted on was a 3-ton whereas the other contractors went with SEER 16 4-ton. Don't waste your time....Definitely do your research and ask other contractor for a written quote so when you call NexGen you can prove it to them. The guy was trying to convince me that if I show them the written quote they can match....are you kidding me??? what should cost me around 9-10k, you quoted for 20k and now you want to drop the cost all the way to 10k?? I don't judge their installation techniques and how the units perform....but definitely it was a waste of time listening to the sales guy and to see what the quote was. Do your research people. Do not recommend at all.

Best plumbers I've had to my home. Jessie V. arrived on time. He called before and told me exactly when he would arrive. He did a fantastic job and cleared all the clogs in my pipes. He went over above and was extremely honest. He didn't try to upsell any service. He was helpful and extremely knowledgable. The response from the HVAC service team was almost immediate upon request. The amount of work was evaluated by Manager Edson Ramos. All questions being answered and Edson drew a wonderful scheme of planned work.
From the beginning of HVAC replacement work, every step was explained , monitored, and checked by Jorge Sanchez - Lead.
All members of this company are highly professional, clean and thou.

I want to thank staff and crew that install a new hvac and heater unit
We didn't know what were going to do our unit died. It was 95 degrees in our home.  We knew it was very expensive. We are on a fix income we had no hope to get help the we got with Nexgen.
For the start from the call and the gentlemen that came out were outstanding they didn't try to sale us a over size unit like other company's.
The gentlemen told us about a program that we might be able to get. I was sure we would not get help, but we did
Next how long was it going to take to get it install.  We were shock that they came out the next day. They crew that came out were fantastic. With in a few Hours it was installed. Owe will never go anywhere else.

Kevin was my main person of contact and he was very honest and knowledgeable regarding my issue and made the proper recommendations to resolve my problem. They were in time and very respectful. The best of the best!   I own a Preschool and late Friday afternoon our air conditioner quit working.  It was 100 degrees outside with the heat expected to continue through the following week.  We have used Nexgen on numerous occasions and have always been pleased with their service.  I called them right away and they scheduled an appointment for me Saturday morning.  Edward showed up on time with a great attitude and went right to work.   He found the problem and was very professional.   Edward explained everything to me and went to work on fixing our air conditioner.  Edward completed his repairs and wrote up his invoice and explained to me that I was only being charged the Service Call as he was donating his time in Labor Costs for the children of Kids n things.  I am writing this with tears in my eyes.  It has been a rough road for us during this Covid Pandemic and our budget is extremely tight.  Edward you are one in a million.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Our home hasn't had a working central HVAC system in maybe 10 years... living in the valley it was hell most of summer. NexGen provided great services although initially quoting me higher than any other business around.. we settled on a great price in the end for an entirely new system and ductwork, plus some new runs and return. I am most satisfied with the install team of Esvin Morales & Walter. Their team was efficient, kind, and very respectful of our house. I can't say enough good things about their team. My family all loved their work and guidance. I would highly recommend our install team while I would be weary of initially high quotes. The main reason for my 5 star review was due to our install team of Esvin, Walter, and the others.

Randy and Travis explained everything and went directly to work. This was a complete installation from scratch. It was a 101' that day in the valley they did not complain once about going into the attic.Many things they did and most impressive is the company pulls a permit for the installation so you know you're receiving the most qualified workmanship in the industry. To my surprise and happiness they completed the job in one day. They removed the asbestos installed all new ducting and wired the entire units. Everything is up to code no corners were cut. This is a big company who takes care of their family which is important is extremely important to me. Thank you very much and yes i would and have recommended to my family and friends. robert

NexGen is such a great company. They were the ones who installed my AC four years ago. Unfortunately, an electronic part went out, and I had no cooling starting yesterday. (How do these things know that a heat wave is starting?) I called NexGen yesterday afternoon, and they had me on the schedule for this evening. Jose gave me a call to tell me he was on his way, and he arrived when he said he would. My AC is on my roof, and Jose went up there, determined what was wrong, and had the necessary parts to fix it. One part was under warranty, the other part was a compressor saver, which helps the compressor start up quickly, and saves on the energy bill. The work was finished quickly, and my house is cooling down beautifully. As always, their techs are friendly and efficient. Thank you, Jose.

I am very satisfied that Ruben Ramos the warranty technician came on a Sunday afternoon when it was 96° outside and fixed a leak from the AC unit in the attic that was leaking water into the master bedroom. Ruben is very polite and professional and got the job done. He explained exactly what the problem was and how he would fix it. I would recommend NEXGEN to friend for great customer service.

My brother had a great experience with them but mine was not so great, - my mini split was not working cause i bumped into it and the copper pipe cracked. their technician came and said just the for the pipe alone it would be a $1000 for the material, when i paid $800 for the whole unit on amazon. Maybe it was a one off mistake, who knows. At least they didn't charge a fee for the inspection, so that was nice.

A few months ago we needed a new hvac for our condo. The area rep. Dennis was a great help. He responded so quickly and within a couple of days the project was done. This was our second time using this company and I have been so pleased with their service and quality product. Some patch work needed to be done and they even did that! Other hvac companies couldn't offer that. And their price was very fair. This is a great company!

Managing properties in Koreatown Los Angels. HVAC trouble reported from one of properties. Had 3-4 technicians came in but they just couldn't figured it out. The technician they sent me was exceptional, Jose went above and beyond by explaining me step by step the tune up he was performing on my 30 year old ac unit. He replaced the filter, safely powered off the ac unit, checked the wires from the compressor to see the performance, hosed down the condenser unit, cleaned and dusted off the furnace, and reconnected some wires in it, and also took a lot of pictures from areas I wasn't able to see well to show me what was he referring to with some areas that needed attention; he did some recommendations to keep my ac unit in good shape. I felt very confortable with his professionalism I will definitely recommend working with him or the company he represents.

Gabriel showed up in a face mask about an hour after I called for service - which is basically instantly when it comes to contractors. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Zero hassle, got the job done quickly and thoroughly. The pricing was less than 1/5th what other contractors have charged me for similar work. The company also has several other trades incase a project gets complicated. I've added this company to my rolodex.

I needed a new furnace I didn't know where to start I called and they sent Gorge out the same day he was friendly and worked with my situation. The next day they came out. Service was so fast. Ulysses Manuel and the rest of the team were great and very professional they taught me so much about heating and ventilation I am so great full for my experience with Nexgen Air. This company is right-on-with-the-light-on!

When a project manager (J.G.) came on-site to give an estimate, the interaction was very poor, and it generated an unfavorable complaint.

Immediately, Ismael V., got involved and communicated with me that he will rectify the issue and make things right.

True to his word, Ismael sent Project Manager Michael A. to give a proper estimate. Michael was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional in looking over the old AC unit and explaining the options.

For our inconvenience and troubles, Ismael V., authorized an awesome estimate and can begin the work immediately to replace the antiquated AC unit.

Thank you Ismael V., Michael A., and all those dedicated workers at Nexgen Air. Your actions show that you take customer service very seriously!!!

I reached out to NEXGEN for their Special: $68.00 Heating system maintenance/inspection. Mark Ocampo Service Technician was extremely through and did a fantastic job! I will definitely be signing up for their Blue Club which includes 2 complete system tune ups once in winter and once in the summer for a total cost of $135.00. NEXGEN is by far the best service and price. I am delighted with the work that was done and I highly recommend!

This company is dishonest and will be reported to CA licensing board and CA BBB, and should get zero stars. My family (yes, in whose house I live part time and who I helped with this case of bait n switch fraud) was pressured by NexGen HVAC sales into buying equipment that they claimed would deliver vastly improved efficiency/lower bills (actually 45% lower is stated in the proposal). However, NexGen HVAC installed cheap, obsolete, oversized equipment that doesn't meet minimum SEER2 rating (14) and charged us $36K. We have confirmed with the equipment maker that the units are of low quality. When we confronted NexGen HVAC with our utility bill that is more than 2 times higher than what bills were when the previous system was in place (before their installation), they tried to lie, deflect and gaslight us, accusing us of not understanding what therms are, and blaming the weather. We calculated usage for Feb YTY, taking into account weather conditions, occupancy (when house was empty/heat was OFF) and any other factors that impact usage, and it is still 133% more vs. the 45% less NexGen HVAC promised. Additionally, the Feb 2022 bill covered 32 days in the billing cycle, while Feb 2023 covered only 30, and both years had the exact same average temperature for that month. NexGen did not delver on this key promise upon which the deal was agreed to, and refuses to correct the situation. They also did not provide any user manuals or documentation for the installed equipment. Where is that?

Additionally, the company's branch management was insulting when we called them out on their BS and demanded that they install equipment that delivers increased efficiency, as specified in their hard sales pitch and proposal. The branch manager actually claimed ...the higher the therms used, the more efficient the system... LOL. They really think people are stupid. They are also guilty of elder abuse and target elderly people with their lies and bullying sales tactics.

So nice try, Mr. Bill, saying I'm not a customer. This IS my family and yes, I am involved. Do the right thing--nobody is asking for $ back, fix it!

We discovered Nexgen a year ago when our 11 year old A/C unit started giving us issues, NexGen service techs are always friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the equipment they are servicing and have never tired to up sell us on any equipment we do not need and really done a great job of keeping our dinosaurs of a unit alive....unfortunately this past Friday our A/C unit had enough and it was time to retire it, Shane Littrell was called out to our house to go over repair vs new system options, with $4,400 in repairs to keep our 12 year old unit going it only made sense to invest that into a new more efficient, energy saving unit, not to mention the old unit runs on R-22 freon which is going to be banned and the cost to repair those types of units will not be worth it in the upcoming years.  Shane gave us the quote which I am not going to lie is a costly investment, but no more so than other competitors and NexGen's warranty is beyond priceless! Shane was also able to negotiate to get us some extras, which we greatly appreciated...As promised the crew showed up the next day, Saturday to install the unit, the entire job took about 6 hours this included about 1700 sq ft of blown in insulation as well.  Once the crew left for the day and the unit had been running for a while it was still hot (86 degrees) and about 48% humidity in our home, of course we went right to Something must be wrong with this unit!! Unfortunately it was after tech hours so they were not able to send a Tech out until the next day (Sunday) around 1:00, in the meantime the house did cool off to 73 degrees but it was still hanging around 47% humidity...at 1:00p.m. in steps Steve Arias the service tech, poor guy was greeted with an angry homeowner (me) who felt she had just been duped! Steve patiently took the time to explain to me that going from an R-22 unit to the new unit is going to change the air climate a bit as the R-22 unit cools differently, he let us know to eliminate the humidity in our home we would should have  2 more intakes installed, since we only had 1 located in the hallway which is about 4 inches smaller than today's standards, he also suggested a duct cleaning (he was right, they were nasty!) and suggested an Air Scuber so our unit, ducts, vents and entire home air quality will stay A LOT cleaner in the future...all this information just about made my head explode! but Steve's recommendations were as Shane had mentioned during his visit that in the future you may want to consider more intakes...Steve, really felt my frustration about having to invest more money to get my home up to par with the new system  and he really worked to get us a HUGE discount on the additional equipment and services because at the end of the day, as a NexGen employee, he wanted us to be satisfied customers....Today, Mario & Eddie came out to install the additional intakes which unfortunately because of the pitch of our roof and attic space they they were unable to do instead they installed a larger intake in our hallway and gave us two new vents in our bathrooms, which we didn't have prior, they also changed out 9 of our other vents with new ones, cleaned our ducts, installed the air scrubber and even made some improvements to our existing ducts for better air flow, they truly went above and beyond....My home feels fabulous and no more humid sweat box! Through this entire experience and even though I was tremendously frustrated the entire NexGen staff was professional, patient and stood by their mission to provide Customer Satisfaction...I am happy to continue to sing their praises and recommend them to friends and family for their A/C, heat and plumbing needs.

WOW! What a great service!! AC units, heating furnace, duck renewal! all done in 2 days professionally There was a problem installing the furnace, replaced same day , I thank to Project Manager JEFF FINE putting p with old grouchy lady, giving me the great price. We used Jorge for two different jobs. One at an income property for ductless/mini split AC, and another for installing central AC in my primary residence. We got several quotes, and Jorge was the most pleasant, professional and responsive. His price was not the lowest, but it was also not the highest. He also did great, clean work. When my A/C stopped working I called the company who had been servicing my system for over 10 years and was told that they would not be able to send a technician to my mom for four days.  I asked why the wait was so long to get service and was told that they were very busy and there were no earlier appointment windows available.  Frustrated, and not wanting to be without functioning air conditioning as the weather was getting hotter, I started looking for another HVAC company who service my system promptly.  
I was fortunate to find NexGen and when I called them was told that they would send out a tech the very next morning.  
The technician Brandon arrived on time the next day and got to work.  He diagnosed the problem as a faulty drain that was causing the safety switch to trip and shut down the compressor.  Brandon was very thorough and got the system back up and running but unfortunately, the problem returned.  Luckily Brandon provided me with this cell just in case another problem arose.  I called him and he was able to talk me through a temporary work around to get the system running again until he could return.  When Brandon came back he proceeded to repipe the condensation drain and the problem was fixed.  My A/C has been working perfectly ever since and I am very happy with NexGen HVAC and their technician Brandon.  Highly recommended!

One of my AC units was not working.  The first company I called looked at the unit (which is in a somewhat difficult spot to service) and immediately told me I needed to replace both units for around $8,000.  Ouch!   I called Nexgen for a second opinion.  The service tech James arrived on time and gladly pulled up all the deck boards he needed to in order to service the unit.  He quickly discovered the capacitor had blown.  $300 repair and done in under an hour.

Wondering how my review dissapeared... I was given a quote by a guy who claimed that he was part owner. He provided me with a quote without even looking at my system, didn't have a ladder and ended up using mine. Criticized and made fun of Asians, saying that he sold a job in Fullerton and made fun of the way they spoke English. Very persistent and annoying.
I spoke to the owner and he was apologetic to me and wanted me to remove my review but I strongly believe that the public should know what kind of company they are dealing with. Being racist or critical of others isn't the way you do business!

I'm so disappointed with this company! I called to ask for someone to come out to find a leak. They told me it was $195 for the leak detection. I told them my plumber was going to fix the problem just needed to have someone pin point where the leak is coming from. They told me there was an $88 dispatch fee. I wasn't really too happy about that extra charge but I would've paid it. So I had in my mind that I would be paying about $285. The technician Danny (I think that was his name) shows up without a mask. He's goes back to his truck to get his tablet. I have my mask on..when he comes back in, I ask him if he can wear a mask. He said he was fully vaccinated. It doesn't matter if you're going into someone's house, be courteous to your potential clients! So I gave him an extra disposable mask to wear. He then tells me if he is only there to find the leak it would be $504!? I said I told the person on the phone what I needed and they didn't mention anything about that. He said he can call his manager and listen to the phone conversation and asked if I wanted him to do it for the $504. I said no. He left to his truck and I guess talked to his manager...and here's the saddest part, he said I'm sorry it looks like there was a miscommunication, I said was it on my end or yours.. and he said it was on there end. So I would've thought maybe they will honor the cost or lower the price. But NO, he said I could still do it for $504...I told him no thank you. If it was my misunderstanding then I get it but it was there fault and they can't offer me anything. That's not good business.

Carlos, our technician, called before he was to come to our house as promised (btw - no 4 hour window!! They said between 8-9 and he called at 8 with a ten minute arrival time!!). When he arrived he was polite and went straight to work after discussing the process. His honesty was much appreciated. He noted we did not have the air filter installed . He called the manager who updated our filter at no cost. Again, it is his type of service you want and will subscribe to for future use. Needed a quote for a new AC unit for our house. Went on to Yelp to get several bids. Most companies were a similar price around 6.5k. But these guys quoted me 10.5k. Are you serious? 4k more than everyone else? When I asked them why they were so much higher than every other company they had no good answer. Do they think I'm stupid? I obviously went on Yelp to get several bids. And they decide to quote a price so much higher than everyone else it's ridiculous. These con artists probably get away with it with people who don't know any better. Well I'm posting this review to let everyone know. And BTW, another company already came by and did the job for half the price and did a fantastic job.

We had a pretty significant water leak on our property. Called Nexgen to come and detect where it is. Their employee Tyler comes, and finds that the leak is supposedly between the house and the water meter. We have our driveway and a lot of concrete, and the leak could be in any given point. So he says rather than opening up the whole thing, it's cheaper to put a new line, and it will only cost us $18,5K! Monthly installments available. Meanwhile, Tyler is asking both myself and my wife where we are from, how we met, how much we paid for the house and tells us how LA is expensive in general. $18K sounds like a lot - I say. And he says: well, how much did you pay for your house?. His number was calculated in 2 min, not a lot of math involved. When we were not in agreeable mood, he goes down to $14K, after talking to his manager. This was yesterday.

Today the plumber who did all the pipes when the house was built comes. Shuts off the valve for the pool+sprinkler system, and the leak stops. So the diagnosis was wrong, the leak is not in the part where Nexgen guy Tyler literally swore his life on. It's either the pool fill-up valve float or the sprinkler system, both much cheaper and easier fix. I don't know if the entire company is ran that way, but sure enough Tyler was grossly incompetent and misleading, not to mention unprofessional with his personal questions. Stay away from this company

My husband and I have been very reluctant to replace our HVAC as the cost was always a factor. However the heat has become unbearable and dealing with our very temperamental HVAC system was no longer an option. We called several other HVAC companies but no one really sold us until Michael at NexGen came out. He was we very informative, patient, and professional. We decided to take the plunge and sign on the dotted line. So thankful that we did because we now have cold air again! Luis was one our installers and he was just as professional. I received a response from the NextGen management providing an explanation for the appearance of a shady operation.

What I would offer for consideration is why not provide that same option for inquiring potential customers?

If you can reach out to save your digital reputation, why not do the same thing (reach out) for a customer?

Simply provide your inbound telemarketing staff with an optional response in their script.
Those are good questions! Let me take your contact info and have someone reach out to you for an answer!

That personalized effort will gain more credibility than the attempt to get a new customer to pay for a price quote.

The fact that management reached out in response to my poor experience with the phone staff illustrates my point and, I feel, yielded an informative interaction.

We have used NexGen for air conditioning maintenance and repairs for the last few years. All the technicians have been great. They were prompt, cordial and took care of the problem quickly. We also had our tankless water heater inspected and flushed twice and were happy with those services.

The last HVAC tech, Manny was exceptionally thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. He showed that he really wanted to make us feel that he would be there to take care of all of our air conditioning needs. He explained things extremely well to us. I would definitely recommend NexGen for maintenance and repairs. For that we would give them 5 stars.

However, we chose not to have NexGen do the HVAC replacement when it became clear that we would need to replace coils and condenser as the repairs were only temporary fixes. While discussing the options with the salesman, he was really pushing one option in particular, the most expensive one. We did not feel that he was really taking our needs into consideration and was trying to sell us more than we really needed. After obtaining other comparison quotes, we found the other companies to be at least a few thousand dollars cheaper for the same thing. One in particular had exceptional ratings and a great price so we went with them. We are happy with our choice and the HVAC is humming along beautifully!

True to his word, Ismael sent Project Manager Michael A. to give a proper estimate.  Michael was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional in looking over the old AC unit and explaining the options.

For our inconvenience and troubles, Ismael V., authorized an awesome estimate and can begin the work immediately to replace the antiquated AC unit.

Overpriced. They charged me $590 to just move my existing heat-shield that was laying in front, to underneath my unit and secured it. If it was $390 sure but $590? Thats taking advantage. At least the hvac tech was kind and a good worker.
Won't be hiring anymore because that's gouging customers. :(

I have had a leak from the inside ac unit for quite a few years. The leak would come and go, maybe three times a year until a couple of months ago, it started happening every day. We had called ac repair companies twice in the past, but they couldn't even figure out what was wrong. One said it was a plumbing issue. Then we had plumbers out twice. Leak was not fixed.
I reached out to 3 ac repair companies on yelp this time. NexGen responded within a couple of hours and followed up questions were answered as expeditiously. Anthony came out yesterday. NexGen called me 15 mins before the scheduled appointment to let me know Anthony was running 15 mins late (which was a first ever - all other repair companies, including remediation companies, plumbers, general contractors, etc. I had dealt with NEVER called in advance to let me know they were running late, and they always were late).
Then Anthony arrived. He brought the shoe covers (again, first ever) and thoroughly checked the inside unit. Then he crawled onto the roof to check the outside (spent substantial amount of time out in the hear) unit and confirmed either of the units had a leak. He even checked our ac air filters, which I didn't even know we had to replace every 3 months as I was never told so, and it was incredibly filthy. Anthony thoroughly explained what my options are before leaving. Cost was only $68. Now we know what to do and am so happy with NexGen, both their office staff and the onsite engineer. I highly recommend NexGen to anyone with ac issues.

Contacted them for an urgent repair. They at least seemed to communicate well...one star for that. I received a text saying the plumber would be there between 8-9am the next day. At about 8:45 a plumber called and said he had been double booked by nexgen and wouldn't be able to come to my house until 11 or 12. When I got in contact with the office, they offered no conciliation or customer service, just offered to reschedule at another date.
Now I'm left scrambling to find another company to come fix my plumbing.
Make sure you set aside a full day when you book with nexgen. The lack of concern for a customers time is a common problem these days, and this company is no different.

The level of customer service with this company is amazing. The general manager, Dennis was patient and explained every question we had. Louis, who came out to service my HVAC before I got a new one, was knowledgeable and kind as well. Asking him the questions I had and his enthusiasm is what really encouraged me to make the decision to get the HVAC. The installation guys were so kind and efficient as well. Once we got the system, the heat needed to be redirected and the techs that came to do that were all knowledgeable. I also must add that all the men were great looking!

Price for tune-up/service of A/C units was fair and moderate to low compared to competitors.  

One minor complaint is being made to feel pressured into upsells once on-site, but sadly that is pretty much the same with all service companies.

Wow! I called for a quote on Monday, Dennis came out on Wednesday, gave us a quote, accepted us for financing and came out the VERY NEXT DAY, Thursday and completely installed new system! On top of that I had 3 other quotes from HVAC companies (the usual, they come out, you tell them what you want and they proceed to tell you what you NEED and the cost gets higher and higher!) NexGen was less expensive, they quoted what I WANTED and even reduced the cost because certain items did NOT need to be replaced. An honest to goodness deal. IDK about you, but that never happens.

Every single person I came in contact with at Nexgen from their front office gals, Dennis, and the guys Arturo & Marvin who completed the installation were top notch! They are friendly, knowledgeable and it was so easy. If you are thinking of replacing your HVAC do not wait until the summer. The cost is much lower in these off season months.

So happy I found them! Thanks again Dennis, Arturo, Marvin and the girls at the office!!!

Our problem- finding a plumber who can diagnose and repair someone else's mistakes after the SoCal Gas Company shut us down. Then, find a reputable company that can come out quickly since it was 4 days since I've had a nice shower and by now I stinketh like Lazarus in the tomb.

From the moment I placed the call, NexGen was all over the problem. An appointment was set and they sent out a young man named Will. When Will showed up, he had his game on and went right to work. Extremely polite, professional, and a wonderful sense of humor. We enjoyed sharing a few laughs. As he was working, he explained to us how water heaters work from A to Z. Not only that, he repaired the problem in a way that the water heater has never worked before and did a final safety check.

I've been in the electrical trade for over 30 years. I've seen the difference between guys who take pride in their work, and honor their trade versus those who don't. Will is a true craftsman.

Will, I don't know if you're going to read this or not, but my family cannot thank you enough! I wish Yelp had the option of handing out gold stars for amazing service because you definitely earned them, but until then, these 5 red stars are for you, and may the LORD bless your upcoming life event!

Amazing. My wife and I have been in our house for 12 years, and every summer we are roasting inside. Running our AC unit nonstop, nearly 24/7, once the summer would get over 105 we couldn't get our house below 79 degrees. Weather stripping, trying to fix insulation, caulking around windows,  nothing. I called Nexgen and their guy came out to check through our attic. He told us the previous homeowner had jacked up our duct work in the attic. The initial home builders had used non insulated bare metal ductwork, used for heating, as our duct. No insulation around the duct, there were even a few 2-3' gaps between ducts, that had NO duct, and were actually bridged by tons of duct tape that had been stretched from one duct to the next, creating a 'duct' made completely out of TAPE. He gave me multiple quotes.

The ultra hot summer weather was coming, so my wife and I told him we'd like to go forward. He got on his phone, started talking to his office and told us HE COULD HAVE HIS GUYS AT OUR HOUSE IN 45 MINUTES to start on the system!!

That's insane! (in a good way!!)
We told them to start the following day. We booked a hotel room for 2 days, packed up the kids, and in just 2 days, NexGen had sent an army of technicians to our house, tore out ALL of our old ductwork, as well as our HVAC unit and the condenser unit from our garage and outside.

They RELOCATED our brand new HVAC unit up into our attic, right in the center of the house, so now the amount of air we our getting out of our ducts is AWESOME! And I am in complete shock that you cant even hear the AC unit in the attic, though its' practically right over our heads in the attic.

Because nexgen also does plumbing, we had them remove our 20 year old water heater, and installed a brand new 50 gallon tankless water heater in our garage.

They demo'd out everything, put in the new HVAC ductwork, which looks fantastic, installed the new amazing HVAC unit in our attic (which REALLY IS QUIET!!!) and the new water heater, and cleaned everything up. All in 2 days.

I couldn't believe that the moment my wife and I gave them the go ahead, they literally were ready to have guys at the house within 45 minutes. They can start immediately on any job, because they don't need to order anything. They have all of the units in their local warehouse.

These guys are awesome!!!!
Our house is cool for the first time since we bought this place.
It's the first summer where we haven't had to worry about what to do with the heat and our kids.

Made an appointment a week in advance to service 2 units at my home. Day of appointment - no show. I called in and they told me they can't come, they are booked. Mind you my appointment was for 9am. I should have been one of the first appointments of the day.

Nothing more annoying than service companies that over book themselves and then just no-show on people. And they know they can get away with it because business is good in the valley where it's 100 degrees.

Do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Owning a home is never cheap. You gotta take on many problems ourselves just to save a dollar. But hvac is where I draw the line. So when i had them out for the $88 special, we were dreading of being told we have to replace our 12 year old system. I called a few businesses for estimates to service our 4 large commercial units. Very courteous staff at N gave me a very reasonable quote so I made an appointment. Mark was punctual and explained beforehand what he was going to be doing. We had a few issues that need to be taken care of plus the service. It was done in a timely manner and the bill didn't brake the bank. As a matter of fact it was extremely reasonable. Will certainly be using their services from now on!

So eager to grab all the business from yelp without reading the post to see what I am asking for. So many back and forth messages only for me to call and be told they can't remove a packaged unit from the roof if they didn't install it. Sorry for wanting to put in energy efficient mini split heat pumps that are much more responsive to the needs of the household and the environment and can be located appropriately for ease of access and service away from the direct sunlight heating the machine up and reducing its efficiency.

I called Nexgen because my AC wasn't cooling. They had a $88 special for a AC check up. They were very professional, however very overpriced. Most large companies charge double the normal rate. I needed 3 pounds of refrigerant. They charged $200 a pound which is double the going rate. Total it cost over $900 for refrigerant and a sealant. It took less than 40 minutes. Shop around and avoid the large companies. They will rip you off. Nexgen also quoted me a price of $6000 to replace my evaporator coil. I called two other companies and received a quote of $2500. Again Nexgen charges more than double the price as other AC companies.

I was having trouble with an old a/c roof unit on my house and Technician Levin came out to check on it. He was great, kept his distance and made the whole covid 19 experience a simple breeze. He helped me understand the parts that weren't working and why they needed to be replaced.

It turns out my system was in bad shape and even if I repaired it, soon something else would fail. Once we realized my situation, Dennis came by to confirm and help me configure the best options for my budget.

I am happy to say I am replacing my 25+year old unit with something much more efficient and up to date all thanks to Levin's expertise and Dennis' guidance. The very next day Gonzalo came by with his crew and knocked out a complete duct and unit replacement in one day. Great job!

Would I recommend?  YES!  Definitely!

He explained everything he did, answered all my questions and even suggested several tips to help maintain our system that our original installers never bothered to tell us.

Be careful with these guys!  They will sell you a maintenance contract (i.e. their 5-year club) for a lot of money,  promising you both Winter & Summer tune ups on both your heating and AC units, yet they make NO attempts to call you to schedule any of these services.   YOU need to make the call, and if you snooze, you lose!  They will use the BS excuse that they have been sooo busy so they didn't get around to calling.  I give these guys 1 star because the initial technician was very nice, but they proceeded to let him go not long after.

What a breath of fresh air from an HVAC company! Felipe came to our home and walked me through everything, listened carefully to all my concerns and never tried to sell me on anything. He brought Dennis in for a second pair of eyes on all the issues and concerns I brought up. Most of these issues were missed or dismissed by two previous HVAC specialists I brought in. When my A/C stopped working I called the company who had been servicing my system for over 10 years and was told that they would not be able to send a technician to my mom for four days. I asked why the wait was so long to get service and was told that they were very busy and there were no earlier appointment windows available. Frustrated, and not wanting to be without functioning air conditioning as the weather was getting hotter, I started looking for another HVAC company who service my system promptly.
I was fortunate to find NexGen and when I called them was told that they would send out a tech the very next morning.
The technician Brandon arrived on time the next day and got to work. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty drain that was causing the safety switch to trip and shut down the compressor. Brandon was very thorough and got the system back up and running but unfortunately, the problem returned. Luckily Brandon provided me with this cell just in case another problem arose. I called him and he was able to talk me through a temporary work around to get the system running again until he could return. When Brandon came back he proceeded to repipe the condensation drain and the problem was fixed. My A/C has been working perfectly ever since and I am very happy with NexGen HVAC and their technician Brandon. Highly recommended!

My HVAC system (condenser, furnace, thermostat, etc.)  was installed in the late 70s/ early 80s. It was in the need of a major upgrade! I took several quotes from different companies but Nexgen immediately stood out. Dennis the sales representative was on time, worked with my schedule, courteous, straight to the point, and gave me a reasonable quote. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive. It was a very reasonable quote. However, the customer service was mind blowing. When I told him I was ready to go with Nexgen, he sent Arturo, Marvin, and Carlos to my home to install everything the next day at 7 am. I went to work and when I got home, I had the most beautiful HVAC system in town! They had replaced some ducting and return for free! They even left me an extra air filter! They were clean, courteous, and proud of what they do. I can't wait to get my energy efficient bills this summer. I whole-heartedly recommend them.
P.S. 0% financing for 24 months... it's a no-brainer

We were looking to add a split HVAC unit to our converted garage. We called NexGen. They were responsive and informative. We schedule an appointment... they rescheduled it last minute... but they followed through with a Saturday appointment. Dennis came out. He checked everything out, gave us exact pricing and booked the job for the following business day. The guys came out and took their time to ensure the system was installed well, with the lines all hidden and the condenser far enough from from sight. They were very respectful and left all work areas clean and orderly. They had great oversight.
The unit works great so far.

We were initially pretty impressed with NexGen. When our central air went out and our home warranty couldn't get someone out, NexGen sent someone within a few hours.

The repairmen told us they'd go on the roof to check out the problem and then let us know what was going on. Instead, they came down half an hour later and told us they'd fixed it, charging $300 for two small parts. We were a little peeved that they didn't ask us before doing the work, but since our air was back on, we got over it. They also told us our unit was VERY old and needed to be replaced (true), and that they'd send over a quote.

A few hours later, the air started running hot. In the morning, they sent over a quote for $13k (outrageous for a white labeled Amana 2 ton unit) and sales wouldn't give us a price breakdown justifying the cost and basically admitted he was price gauging us because of the AC shortage. I sent NexGen's proposal with the price and company name removed to another HVAC company, who said we could do this for $10k, which is probably HIGHER than the quote you have since they're giving you a lower quality machine and a worse warranty

NexGen did offer to have someone come back out to look at our existing unit free of charge, but we didn't really trust them at this point. We ended up finding someone to do the replacement for significantly cheaper than either of those bids, with a better unit and better customer service.

Do not waste your money or time with these guys unless you're absolutely desperate and are willing to needlessly pay a premium for lower quality products.

Well they kept saying leave an honest review so here goes...

The service call 4 stars:
My original appointment was Thursday from 4-6. At 5:45 I called because I did not hear anything and after speaking with the service department I got rescheduled to Friday with no timeframe. I called again Friday morning around 10 AM because I still I didn't hear about a timeframe that the technician was coming. The representative gave me the timeframe and waived my service fee because of the communication issues I was having with the company. I thanked her for that and my technician Derek showed up on time and he was really nice and helpful and told me what was wrong with my air conditioning package unit and even fixed the wire to my nest so that I can now have heat flowing into the house. The main issue is that my unit is 37 years old and needs replacement. What a surprise.

The Estimate process 2.5 stars:
So the project manager Denis came to my house same day to give me pricing of a new unit because the repairs to a 37 year old air-conditioning unit would not be worth it and it would constantly need to be repaired. So when I sat down with Dennis he gave me the pricing of a new unit Nexgen/Amana and installment and that was the price of a brand new Nisan Versa (look it up and you'll get my drift... $15,000). I told him I was not prepared to pay that much and wanted to see about repairing the unit and he said... OK well give me a number that you think you're comfortable with to purchase a new unit. I'm a new homeowner, so I don't know how much it cost to replace air-conditioning units but if you're going to give me a price of 15,000 I am going to say I would feel comfortable around 10,000. So then he called his boss put him on speaker phone and then it was a whole show about how they're not supposed to do this but because I am a nurse during the pandemic we will give you this deal of $10,000 and that this is the best deal in town and they will do it right the first time and they are highly rated on Yelp and A on BBB and everyone else is a mom and pop shop.

I almost signed on the dotted line until something internally told me to do a quick Google search while he was writing up the contract. A quick Google search showed me that the unit itself is anywhere between $2,500 and $3,000. So in my head I'm like why am I being charged $7,000 to install it. I pumped the brakes and said that I needed  to get at least a couple more estimates before proceeding with contract and then thanked  him for his time. He then assured me that we would be in contact on Monday because I would not be able to find a better deal than theirs and if so they would match it. I immediately got back on Yelp and sent out a messages to a couple of companies that all had five stars and over 200 reviews. Also companies that had A ratings on BBB (because that's what I was continually being told that Nexgen had during my appointment ).  I also reached out to my friend who is a contractor and when I told him the whole process he laughed because he said that's how a business is ran. The expectation is not for the customer to actually do their own research but to go face value with what is said and sign on the dotted line.

All the estimates of different companies (I received 3 others) after coming out and looking at my unit were under $10,000 without needed to do any negotiations . They all offered crane usage, verified work permits and licensing,  and the same warranty guarantees that my original estimate with Nexgen offered. At that point I felt comfortable with my decision to go with another company because of how my experience was with that estimate process and it felt very honest and transparent.

So in summary the service call was good but if you're going to buy a whole new system with them my advice is to get at least 3 to 4 estimates before making your final decision otherwise be prepared to shell out a pretty penny or be savvy and negotiate better rates off bat.

We just had our annual HVAC maintenance inspection and our experience was great! Our technician Felipé was very professional, friendly, and transparent. I appreciate that he took the time to create several options for system upgrades but wasn't overly pushy or salesy. I felt I could trust him. I will ask for him again the next time I need any repairs. I also really liked that this shop uses modern looking software. Of course, during the heat wave our 23 year old HVAC system decided to call it quits. I called 2 other companies on a Friday before calling NexGen. The first one said they would be out in a week. The second said Monday. NexGen said they would come on Saturday at 6pm. I called at 4pm Saturday to confirm bc their website said they close at 5 pm. I was reassured that someone would be out and at 4:30 Felipe arrived at our house, an hour and a half early! After doing a detailed inspection Felipe told us our unit was DOA. He contacted Yasmin, the project manager, and Saturday at 6pm she was at our house giving us options. Yasmin explained they do not work on commission and she doesn't like spending other people's money. What I truly appreciated was Yasmin telling us about her vast experience in the field. She's very passionate, knowledgeable and her professionalism and honesty are so refreshing! We felt very confident going forward having our HVAC system and all duct work replaced by NexGen.
They were able to start work 8am  Monday morning, they are closed Sunday's (For God and Family, says so on these website)
Johnie and David came out and did exceptional work, they are a great team. They had a great attitude and were so caring in making sure our floors and appliances were covered. At the end of each day the house was put back together as it was when they arrived. We were so impressed with their attention to detail.
We were up and running on day 3!  What I really appreciate about NexGen is everyone I spoke to was professional and kind. The company works together as a great team with exceptional customer service and that is a rarity in today's world. Thank you NexGen!

4 months later, finally completed all City inspection and NEXGEN called me to collect the remaining 10% final payment. I asked the staff to find out from the owner the status of my complaint. She called me again and deducted $400 from the final payment. I thought that's a genuine gesture to make up for what went wrong

So grateful for NexGen! After talking to about 5 different companies over the past few years that we have lived in our home, we had had problems with our AC and Furnace. No one seemed to know how to solve the issue-- until Yasmin came over with Tom and gave it to us straight; we needed a whole new HVAC and furnace. They showed us what was wrong, told us why I was having allergy issues, told us how to fix it, and provided us with the best options so that we wouldn't keep having $700-$1200 electric bills!

During the installation, the installers were super kind, respectful, and efficient! They made sure everything was done well and showed us how to use the new system.

I recently had a new AC and heating system and new ducting installed by NexGen of Northridge. My older unit was over 30 years-old and very inefficient (our electric bill was very high)- it was time to get a new system.

Dennis runs a great team over at NexGen in Northridge! Dennis was very professional and honest with me when reviewing my townhome and the equipment he suggested. What won me over when comparing several offers from other companies was his friendly and courteous persistence and honest and straightforward recommendations. Dennis didn't sell me something I didn't need but also future-proofed my townhouse within my budget with a really amazing HVAC system. Also, the reputation of the company having multiple locations in LA, BBB accreditation, no money down and flexible financing, and positive Yelp reviews were also factors in making me go with this company.

The system itself is running great! We opted for the two-stage 16-seer AC compressor and two-stage furnace, both by Lennox. And all new ducting! The install only took 7 hours which was helpful that it didn't have to take more than one day. A big shout out to Daniel and his crew for installing it so well and being so nice and efficient during the install. I've never been so excited to start using my heat and AC!

If you're planning on upgrading any of your HVAC system I would definitely recommend Dennis and his team at NexGen in Northridge- the overall value and quality of service, scope of product offerings, and installation is very difficult to find elsewhere at other companies (trust me, I researched heavily before I made my decision). You can't go wrong with this company!

We didn't know what were going to do our unit died. It was 95 degrees in our home. We knew it was very expensive. We are on a fix income we had no hope to get help the we got with Nexgen.
For the start from the call and the gentlemen that came out were outstanding they didn't try to sale us a over size unit like other company's.

So far, I am very impressed with their customer service. I called and asked to have someone give me a quote for the work I need done. The office called and confirmed what time the rep would arrive, checking to see if he could come a bit earlier than we'd scheduled. Steve made an excellent first impression and gave me two different options, suggesting something other than what I thought I needed as the better option. He was very knowledgable and patient with my many questions. My first impression was good, and it only got better.

I anticipate a quote later today, but he left me with a ballpark estimate and many things to consider. So far, I'm very pleased!

Today Justin came to look at my AC since it hasn't been working well and summer is around the corner. He did a very detailed inspection of the unit inside, outside and the ducts. He gave us a very good explanation of what is going on and we decided to go with this company. Not only did he clean up my AC, but they are also changing the 1980's ducts of my house.
We are going to have very pure cold air this summer.

I had a blocked sewer drain today (Friday 12/31/2021) and my regular plumber was busy due to the holiday weekend so I saw a website ad for this company and decided to try them. I first called at about 4:30pm. They said they start an escalated plumbing call. No one called me back. I called back at 6:30pm. They said they'd try again to have a tech call me. No one called me back. I called a 3rd time at 8pm. The person I spoke to this time said that emergency calls actually don't start until after 8pm. Now that it's 8pm someone would call me back. 9:30pm and no one called. I called them for the 4th time to cancel the call just in case someone tried to call later tonight when I'm at a New Years Eve party.
I understand it's a holiday weekend and they're busy (like my usual plumber) but they should have told me that the first time I called. Instead I waited half the night for a phone call that never came. Now I have to hope I can get someone to come tomorrow (New Years Day).

We had a signed contract for HVAC change out for $8500. Ishmael, the owner, then calls me later in the day to tell me that he is not going to do the work for that price. He wants $1500 more. Meanwhile it is 110 outside and my pregnant wife, my 1.5 yr old son, and I are stuck in the heat. He did not care about us. He just wanted more money. I have filed a Bill of Dispute with Trane directly.

We discovered Nexgen a year ago when our 11 year old A/C unit started giving us issues, NexGen service techs are always friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the equipment they are servicing and have never tired to up sell us on any equipment we do not need and really done a great job of keeping our dinosaurs of a unit alive....unfortunately this past Friday our A/C unit had enough and it was time to retire it, Shane Littrell was called out to our house to go over repair vs new system options, with $4,400 in repairs to keep our 12 year old unit going it only made sense to invest that into a new more efficient, energy saving unit, not to mention the old unit runs on R-22 freon which is going to be banned and the cost to repair those types of units will not be worth it in the upcoming years. Shane gave us the quote which I am not going to lie is a costly investment, but no more so than other competitors and NexGen's warranty is beyond priceless! Shane was also able to negotiate to get us some extras, which we greatly appreciated...As promised the crew showed up the next day, Saturday to install the unit, the entire job took about 6 hours this included about 1700 sq ft of blown in insulation as well. Once the crew left for the day and the unit had been running for a while it was still hot (86 degrees) and about 48% humidity in our home, of course we went right to Something must be wrong with this unit!! Unfortunately it was after tech hours so they were not able to send a Tech out until the next day (Sunday) around 1:00, in the meantime the house did cool off to 73 degrees but it was still hanging around 47% humidity...at 1:00p.m. in steps Steve Arias the service tech, poor guy was greeted with an angry homeowner (me) who felt she had just been duped! Steve patiently took the time to explain to me that going from an R-22 unit to the new unit is going to change the air climate a bit as the R-22 unit cools differently, he let us know to eliminate the humidity in our home we would should have 2 more intakes installed, since we only had 1 located in the hallway which is about 4 inches smaller than today's standards, he also suggested a duct cleaning (he was right, they were nasty!) and suggested an Air Scuber so our unit, ducts, vents and entire home air quality will stay A LOT cleaner in the future...all this information just about made my head explode! but Steve's recommendations were as Shane had mentioned during his visit that in the future you may want to consider more intakes...Steve, really felt my frustration about having to invest more money to get my home up to par with the new system and he really worked to get us a HUGE discount on the additional equipment and services because at the end of the day, as a NexGen employee, he wanted us to be satisfied customers....Today, Mario & Eddie came out to install the additional intakes which unfortunately because of the pitch of our roof and attic space they they were unable to do instead they installed a larger intake in our hallway and gave us two new vents in our bathrooms, which we didn't have prior, they also changed out 9 of our other vents with new ones, cleaned our ducts, installed the air scrubber and even made some improvements to our existing ducts for better air flow, they truly went above and beyond....My home feels fabulous and no more humid sweat box! Through this entire experience and even though I was tremendously frustrated the entire NexGen staff was professional, patient and stood by their mission to provide Customer Satisfaction...I am happy to continue to sing their praises and recommend them to friends and family for their A/C, heat and plumbing needs.

Our home warranty service left the occupant of our property sweltering for a week in 90° heat in the middle of a heatwave when the AC broke down. I will not bore you with the details, but after a week of waiting for the home warranty company to follow through on its promises, which it did not, we decided to bite the bullet and call an actual professional. Thank goodness we found Patrick with NexGen. He came right away and was incredibly nice. Everyone else we called either laughed at us or was rude. Not Patrick. He determined that the home warranty diagnosis and resulting wait for a part was completely erroneous. He was able to fix the air conditioning on the spot. He was compassionate and concerned for the health of the occupant. We will be forever grateful to Patrick and the amazing work that he did. And even though he came out last minute on a weekend, his rates were completely fair. #SimplyTheBest

Update:  I called Next-gen a year after doing an $18k project, for which I left them a stellar review.  What was remaining from the initial job was a 1.5T Mitsubishi mini split for the garage for $3K, which the had told me a month ago they would honor.  The sales guy showed up promptly the next day, and we discussed some changes to the scope.  We agreed that instead of the 1-zone 1.5T I needed a 2 zone system, plus I also wanted to put a tankless heater outside.  They came back with a $17,500 quote, after discounts for the AC and the heater, installed.  The retail price for some of the best Mitsubishi 2-zone/2 head mini splits is $2700, and the best 8GPM tankless heaters are around $2000(Rinnai or Takagi).  Of course there is additional cost in pipes etc and labour for a day of work, so say $4700 + $1000 (line set) + $1500 labor for 1 day of work for a crew of 3.  That's $7200 give or take.  After speaking with their supervisor the final price I was told they could do this project for was $15,000.  They explained how the company had grown from 23 crews a year ago to 75 today, so the owner Ish doesn't speak with the customers any longer and they need to pay the 100 girls running around the office.  I got several quotes from other companies and the average price to do this work was around $7-$8K, which makes sense per my estimates.  Lastly, I had referred NextGen to my brother to replace a copper line set for his garage mini split (lower end system, $750 total retail price with the line set), and he was quoted $2000 to replenish the freon and change the line set.  So I told Zachary (polite manager who followed up and who did his best to fix the situation) that while I once thought NextGen was great to work with, they don't seem to care about their small customer any longer, but then again they must have plenty of big commercial projects to pay for the massive overhead they kept mentioning about throughout this last interaction...

Okay. I must say that I am COMPLETELY in shock. We are a general building contractor and our plumbers are working on a very large job that we were unable to pull them off of. I researched Yelp and decided to call NexGen, mostly because of their ratings. They were definitely prompt in going to the unit BUT once the tech arrived it went downhill VERY quickly from there. We had a running toilet in a 1 bedroom apartment that the tech said was aged (fair enough), that the entire inside needed to be rebuilt and gave me three options: 1.  Just replace the fill valve (over $200 for maybe 15 minutes of work and a max $30 part), rebuild the entire toilet (quoted over $500) and to replace the toilet was over $1,000.00. Not sure if it was a golden toilet and platinum wax ring or if he assumed it would take 13 years in labor to install. I told them to charge the card for the $88.00 visit that it took them to come up with these ridiculous quotes and to leave. Beware.

They came out to my house to give the estimate.
Our job included just to connect 3 sinks which were provided by us with all the materials.
2 shower trims provided by us
2 faucets provided by us.
Their estimate was $5,600
I literally had to ask them did they add an extra zero to the estimate.
All plumbing already exists, they just had to connect it without additional materials.
It's crazy! And they charge $88 just to take a look and give estimate which took them exactly 3 mins.
Avoid at all costs!
We went with another company and they did everything we asked for, for $530.

My HVAC system (condenser, furnace, thermostat, etc.) was installed in the late 70s/ early 80s. It was in the need of a major upgrade! I took several quotes from different companies but Nexgen immediately stood out. Dennis the sales representative was on time, worked with my schedule, courteous, straight to the point, and gave me a reasonable quote. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive. It was a very reasonable quote. However, the customer service was mind blowing. When I told him I was ready to go with Nexgen, he sent Arturo, Marvin, and Carlos to my home to install everything the next day at 7 am. I went to work and when I got home, I had the most beautiful HVAC system in town! They had replaced some ducting and return for free! They even left me an extra air filter! They were clean, courteous, and proud of what they do. I can't wait to get my energy efficient bills this summer. I whole-heartedly recommend them.
P.S. 0% financing for 24 months... it's a no-brainer

My wife set an appt to have our AC system checked and cleaned, and the next day Patrick came by the house an hour earlier than scheduled and went above and beyond expected.  He explained everything he did, answered all my questions and even suggested several tips to help maintain our system that our original installers never bothered to tell us.

I called, he wouldn't give me his name and was not very friendly at all.  Said my project was too small, that it would be 3-4 weeks out, and wouldn't be worth it.  I said that kind of attitude wouldn't get him a good review.  Then he started arguing with me, so i hung up.

Then he called me back to argue more.  I hung up again.  He called again, but I have learned my lesson.  I won't be calling him again.

EDIT- I have dropped my rating to 1 star:  The business responded with a phone number that doesn't work.

And no, I am not confused.  I was told it wouldn't be worth it.  And the message left on my voicemail after it was rude and condescending.  Why would I want to give my hard earned money to a company like this?

I had a shower and one toilet back up and the next day, my 2 kitchen sinks did the same.  Then my other toilet backed up.

It was determined that my sewer pipes from the house to the mainline were rotten. The were the original pipes from around 1946.  

Techicians Pablo and Jose really worked hard and did a wonderful job.

I got a quote for them to make my fuel line which is about 2 -3 feet into galvanized steel and because their pricing was higher and they could not price match another offer I received, Nexgen offered a complementary gas repair to be performed by another company. How nice was of that for them to offer this to me. I will reach out to them again next time I need plumbing work :).

Patrick saved my life! And my dog's!

I'm not even exaggerating.

After I reported my hvac breakdown to my home warranty company in the middle of a heatwave, they left me to rot in 90+ degree heat for over a week. When they finally came out to help they said the issue with my hvac was a broken part that would take another week to arrive and that they couldn't even assess the rest of the hvac system until the part was installed.

I was melting in my own home and what's worse is that I had a small dog who was not doing well and cannot regulate their own temperature very well.

Worried for both myself and my dog, I finally broke down and called in an emergency service. Nexgen was available and sent Patrick within a couple hours. He came out, diagnosed, and fixed my system within an hour. He told me all the ways the home warranty's hvac service had intentionally let me suffer, sent me videos of the extremely obvious issue with my machine, and then cleaned the inside of the machine as a kindness. He made it clear that there was no scenario in which the home warranty company would have missed the actual issue and were letting me suffer so they could make extra money off the insurance company by ordering expensive parts.

Patrick is a standup guy who was dedicated to my safety and well-being and without him I'd still be stuck in hellish heat. I cannot recommend NexGen enough. Patrick is a hero.

Our air conditioner went out and our first diagnosis, which came from another company costed us $129. And, the quotes from the other guys seemed unreasonable, so we decided to get a second opinion and boy are we glad we did. No joke.
NexGen offered a second opinion and diagnosis for free scheduled next day. The technician, Jesus came and quickly fixed the problem and now we got cold air again.
He was honest, open and friendly worker and clearly explained the problem.
NexGen offered a much cheaper price than our first estimate, was very responsive and Jesus provided great service so we couldnt be happier with the result.

Had a great experience with Nexgen. Had an air conditioner that went out and needed to get replaced in the next 2 weeks. Michael (Amodeo) called and said he would come for an estimate within a couple hours. He showed up on time and was polite, friendly and courteous. I was very pleased, once he worked out the scope of work would take one day and they could do it immediately I gave it a go. We worked out a price that was fair and kid you not the crew was there to start work before all the paper work was filled out, helped that i was local in Fullerton. I was pleasantly surprised, installation was very professional. Jesus, Jose, and Walter were great, discreet, clean and very polite. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and anyone who is looking to get top line professional work done quickly!

Our AC unit needed a major fix. One of the NexGen reps came by and assessed our situation and told us we needed a total replacement. We heard that before, so it was not a surprise. Once we agreed to evaluate our options, sales rep (Dennis) came (after hours!) and was absolutely amazing explaining all our options. We did not feel any sales  pressure, he was incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He gave us few options to meet our needs and worked with his manager Shawn on getting best available price and quickest fix. Techs came the next day and everything was done within couple hours. Apparently our old unit was so old/bad that it essentially became a potential hazard. We are so glad we used NexGen, we would highly recommend them to anyone. They are fast, honest, flexible (they provide excellent payment options) and stand behind their work.

Justin came out for the $88 A/C check-up I found advertised online. He gave me thorough explanations of what he saw. Then he gave me an articulate opinion on the possible options I have moving forward. Even though the news on my system wasn't great, I appreciated the information. Only ding for me is that he was a litttttle too quick to push the upsell of an entire new A/C system, as opposed to instead suggesting systematic troubleshooting first. But that's how businesses make money, so it was not unexpected and not a big deal.

Overall I was disappointed by many things. I was charged $15,000 for the complete project. I originally called them to repair a squeaky sound coming from a new, 1 year old NexGen unit . The repair/ Sales guy said he had to go up into my attic to inspect the ducts . He basically came back and told us the ducts were the problem, some were collapsed and had cracks . My wife was nervous and concerned. We were told we needed to upgrade the insulation. Total cost of the quote was $15,000.
Here are some suggestions:
1.  Get three quotes . I trusted them with the quote .
2. Make sure the contract has details. My contract is very vague and simple. My fault for trusting them. They lean on Christian family values. The contract does not specify labor costs and material cost . Make sure they show both labor cost and material costs.
I have more detail to my experience and hope if you read this it will help you make a decision. Now that I saw the type of work and materials used I can base an actual cost of the job to approximately $9,500. I have cameras in front of my home which I was able to see all materials used.
I went up to the attic to see what the first crew did. WHAT A MESS!  I was upset. See pics attached. I gave them a second chance to fix it . They did send another crew an they did an ok job. Waiting on the City inspector to sign off . We are in our 60's and feel we were taken advantage of. We did sign the contract and will keep our promise to pay in full .
Conclusion, if Nextgen wants to correct this experience, they should send me an itemized invoice with parts and labor. They will see I was over charged $5,000. If I did not go up to the attic to inspect the first time  I would have lost more $$$.  Maybe NexGen will  and honor God to what is right.

4 months later, finally completed all City inspection and NEXGEN called me to collect the remaining 10% final payment.  I asked the staff to find out from the owner the status of my complaint. Outstanding Home AC System Repair Technician from NexGen -

I recently had my home AC system looked at by NexGen repair technician (Anthony Herrera) and I wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience.

First and foremost, the technician arrived at the scheduled time with constant updates via text that he was nearby. He was courteous and first took the time to listen attentively to my concerns regarding the AC unit, ensuring that they fully understood the issue at hand. His friendly demeanor immediately put me/my family at ease, and I knew I was in good hands.

Anthony's (technician) ability to communicate throughout the inspection/repair/tune-up process was exceptional. He patiently answered all my questions, since my background is electrical engineering providing detailed explanations and offering helpful suggestions kept me very interested in the process.

In conclusion, my experience with the NexGen/AC system repair technician was outstanding in every aspect, truly commendable, and trustworthy in my opinion. When we started to add up all the cost of possible repairs/upgrade on a 13-year-old system it was almost at a new system price. At this time, I asked for a quote on a New complete AC/heater system with new duct work. Their price was a bit higher than when i first installed a new unit 13 years ago.

Anthony also took the time to create several options for system upgrades. I felt I could trust him. Oh, he also reminded me that there was special discount and financing through Home-Depot credit service available.  Which I took advantage off just in-case we bought a new system I was pre-approved.

I truly feel that since there were no questions that were not answered and exceptional professionalism, expertise of the product this will definitely be a company I will call again in the near future. ( NexGen AC/Heating/Plumbing). Since we will be doing some home additions in the near future, we decided to put a pause on installing a new AC/Heater system at this time.

I hired NexGen to for a pretty serious sewer stoppage in my home and they snaked it twice in one week. The deeper issue was root intrusion and separated pipe segments under our slab, which would continue to cause regular blockages. I hired them to install a cleanout in our front yard, hydrojet, cut the roots, and then line the cast iron pipe with epoxy, to prevent future such issues. They worked with my budget and completed the work on time, crediting the original snaking charges toward the job. I discovered a subsequent issue of a leak within a wall and they came and solved my problem quickly. I trust them for my future plumbing needs. Five Stars! Thank you, NexGen.

Signed up for their membership to get a diagnostic of our 1-ton AC minisplit which was not blowing cold air. The tech came and proceeded to blow hot air. The electrical was done wrong, the lines to the interior unit are done wrong. Your compressor is broken. I leaned down to listen to the compressor and heard it running. Isn't it running? Kind of like the sound of a refrigerator compressor when it is running? He didn't respond and changed the subject. I asked if he could recharge the freon, and he said it wasn't an option since a freon leak was most likely and it would be too costly to track it down. His solution was to replace the whole unit. The cost? About $7000. The technician was willing to lie so that he could aim for a replacement instead of a repair.

This morning, I had another company come and diagnose the problem. The tech cleaned the coils, recharged the 4 pounds of freon and charged $500.

I regretted not checking with the Better Business Bureau before trusting the reviews on Yelp:

My air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, and I was forced to move my newborn daughter and her mother to a hotel, while I put up various fans to try and keep the place under 100 degrees. It was Saturday, and I woke up early to try to find a reputable AC company that would be willing to come to Northridge on a short notice, without ripping me off. To my surprise, many companies were straight out rude (what do you want, or you have to wait till Monday, I'm busy) while others simply didn't care to fight for my business. I finally got a semi-rude guy (I'm too busy now, this my busy season. No promises.) to agree he would call me when he was done with his day, to see if he could help me or not. I felt like I was in front of the Soup Nazi and I just didn't want to piss him off, in case he agreed to grace me with his assistance. I finally got down the list to NextGen Air Conditioning, and instantly I felt a difference. The nice lady on the phone was honest in explaining that the techs are very busy today, but I will put you on hold and find out what we can do for you. She came back saying she would add me to a tech's route, but I would have to be patient. I agreed. The tech that came was Mark Ocampo, the epitome of a professional technician. He was nice, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the problem as he diagnosed the issue, and finally presented me with the options for repair. The pricing was surprisingly quite reasonable, and Mark was not out to take advantage of an emergency situation, unlike AC tech's I have had the displeasure of meeting in the past. At the end of the day, my baby girl was happy to leave the hotel, and return to her own crib. I proudly texted the Air Conditioning Nazi the following: Please cancel my visit request, the issue was handled promptly by NextGen Air Conditioning. I got no response. Thank You Mark, and NextGen Air for stepping up. To Mark's boss: This guy is a keeper. Make sure he get's what he needs and wants to stay happy with your company, he definitely adds value to your organization.

I loooooove Next Gen plumbing! They have been out here to help me several times. I am usually able to get a same or next day appt. The guys are on time and always wear masks and shoe covers. They are professional, kind and knowledgeable. Today, Martine and Carlos came--they were efficient, helpful and answered all of my questions! Nexgen Air Conditioning Heating and Plumbing offers exceptional service and peace of mind.

We were recently told by another company with which we had a maintenance contract our system needed a major repair that would be costly and that labor was not covered under our warranty. You can probably imagine the stress this unexpected expense caused. Displeased with the other company's business practices we decided to reach out to Nexgen to inspect and install the needed part(s).

Our Nexgen technician, George, was a breath of fresh air. He inspected our system and explained why the assertion that such a newer system needed major repairs was unfounded. In fact, he showed us that our system was in excellent condition. The Nexgen Customer Support rep over the phone explained that this second opinion would be FREE, but this company has earned our business and trust. We have now signed up for their maintenance plan and are delighted with their consistent attentive service and professional and warm demeanor.

I had a great experience with the air conditioning team from NexGen (John, Johnny ,Nate, Benny, Hector and David) that recently replaced my condenser and furnace The heat and humidity outside were near record and with the broken HVAC, my family was left sweltering inside our home.


The anticipation grew as we eagerly awaited the arrival of the HVAC team that would finally bring relief to our home. We got an estimate for a big job from another plumber, so we called Nexgen for a second opinion. Kevin from Nexgen was way more thorough, way more detailed in his explanation, way less saleman-y, gave us multiple options, and came in less than the original bid. Seriously, he was at her house within 20 minutes.  He did a throrough walk through. He calmed Aunt Barbara down as she was upset thinking it would cost her an arm and a leg. Instead, Dennis gave us the BEST estimate and was able to set us up with financing.

Installation happened two days later. And I am happy to report that Aunt Barbara is happy and cool in her own house.

Dennis not only followed up with us the next day but also contacted us the day of installation to make sure all went smoohtly and well. I have never met anyone who truly cared like Dennis but was also professional!

I was contacted by a very friendly Nexgen representative shortly after writing my original review and she apologized for the mix-up. She asked if she could get somebody out here to make the situation right and I said if you can that would be great. Good as her word she had a tech out here the very next day to do the checkup. He was  friendly, professional, and very thorough. Took apart my ac unit and furnace, cleaned them both up and ran diagnostics on the whole system. Everything is working as it should, which is great considering summer is on its way and it gets hot up here! I like the service so much that I signed up for the maintenance pass for two additional visits. I wasn't pressured into it, there was no hard sell, he just asked me if I would be interested and since it's work I'd be getting done anyway I said yes. Needless to say I will be using Nexgen for all of my heating/cooling related issues in the future. Great customer service, which is rare these days!

Last July 12, 2018, my air conditioner started blowing hot air. My AC was installed 6/23/13 so I called the Matthews AC who is the company that installed my unit. Unfortunately, Matthews AC was very backed up with the heat spell we had and suggested that I call a local company. I called NexGen air and George Ramirez, a technician with NexGen, came out to track down the problem. After inspection, Mr. Ramirez came into to let me know I needed a whole new unit. At that point, I showed him my installation paperwork and let him know that the warranty had just expired the week prior. I did tell him that I will have Matthews AC come out to check it over before I take his word at replacing my AC. So from that point he gave me a list of repair options which included a replacement. The first option given to me was what Mr. Ramirez called a bandaid for $726.00, I agreed to the service and my AC worked for the remainder of the hot season.
So we just had a very hot day in June and the AC did the same thing. I called Matthews AC and he sent a crew over to check out my AC.....the only thing found was a crimp on the end of the condensation line. So the bottom line is if the water can't drip through the line the system shuts down. Matthews AC replaced the end of the plastic hose at no cost to me. I really felt very taken advantage of by NexGen as most homeowners don't know what is wrong with our AC, Plumbing or electrical and we rely on HONEST service tech's. After reading the Yelp posting for NexGen there are approximately 20 or so other clients that had similar experiences. I did speak to one of the managers and really had nothing to add to this situation. If this is their practice to only sell new AC's then they do need to have someone review their services.

As of Wednesday July 3rd 2019 I received a call from management regarding my review. They were not aware of my situation. Ashley sevice manager, after reading my review reached out to to resolve my problem. The other manager had not notified upper management when I placed my call. Ashley when above and beyond to make my service call right. I will give NexGen another try.

Nexgen technician gave me the Hard Sell a couple of times on a replacement wall heater for $3,500 even though I said I wanted to think about it first. Then come to find out after a little research that the replacement (exact same wall heater) is only $872! Even the single part that he quoted me on was over $1300 but kept trying to talk me out of that and just do the replacement at $3,500. Shark! Beware!

I like to give praise where praise is due. I hadn't intended to get my sy inspected but the opportunity came my way so I took it. The amazing Adrian came out and was so friendly, kind and patient. He was happy to answer all my questions and even walk me through every single step of the inspection. I Never felt like I was being placated or patronized, which is so refreshing. He gave me all the good news and bad news and his true recommendations for my course of action both short and long term. I know to replace my whole unit with through them would likely cost more than they're competitors, but I feel like the job would be done right with no corners cut and with the work covered for years.

We just had the NEXGEN A.C. technician Justin Leishman out at our house to clean the A.C. units. He blew me away! He was the most knowledgable technician I've ever talked to, for any kind of home repairs. Be careful with these guys! They will sell you a maintenance contract (i.e. their 5-year club) for a lot of money, promising you both Winter & Summer tune ups on both your heating and AC units, yet they make NO attempts to call you to schedule any of these services. YOU need to make the call, and if you snooze, you lose! They will use the BS excuse that they have been sooo busy so they didn't get around to calling. I give these guys 1 star because the initial technician was very nice, but they proceeded to let him go not long after.

The A&A team came to the rescue not only once but twice!!! Arnold and Andrew are an amazing duo. They are prompt , efficient, and knowledgeable.They may look young but they are professionals.

We have a new house but the builder cut many corners, the AC installation for one. The unit is on the roof and they were nice enough to take many pictures of what was wrong with it. Turns out the sealant was decaying and letting in water through the vents. They used a better sealant and guess who didn't have any leaks through Hurricane Hillary?! Us!

The second time was just Andrew. It was nice to see a familiar face and who knew the house. This time one of the pipes came off the unit and was leaking through the side of the house. He was able to fix the issue in no time.

My mom is new to the home owner and maintenance game. Her air conditioning went out and I remember the Nexgen commercial. we called them and they sent Derrick out the same day!! By the way this was a Saturday. He accessed the issue ano provided a repair that fixed the problem. He also provided along with Jason a comprehensive review of her system. We have some things to thin about but I feel so much more comfortable about this process.

Levin came out to check our system as we moved in in October and could tell the previous owners didn't really do any upkeep on anything, including our HVAC. We noticed an odd odor one day so I called NexGen and Levin was our guy. He checked everything out, gave me some tips as a first time homeowner. Response time was great. Even on. 98 degree day in the valley he had service scheduled for just a couple hours after our call. Felipe (our tech) was both knowledgeable and friendly. I had some issues with my Nest Learning Thermostat so I messaged Nextgen on Yelp and got a super quick response!! They were very helpful, nice, and able to get me an appointment the very next day. Wacky technology, my Nest decided to work again on it's own so I didn't end up having them service BUT I will definitely use them in the future because of their professionalism and their desire to help. Signed up for their membership to get a diagnostic of our 1-ton AC minisplit which was not blowing cold air. The tech came and proceeded to blow hot air. The electrical was done wrong, the lines to the interior unit are done wrong. Your compressor is broken. I leaned down to listen to the compressor and heard it running. Isn't it running? Kind of like the sound of a refrigerator compressor when it is running? He didn't respond and changed the subject. I asked if he could recharge the freon, and he said it wasn't an option since a freon leak was most likely and it would be too costly to track it down. His solution was to replace the whole unit. The cost? About $7000. The technician was willing to lie so that he could aim for a replacement instead of a repair.

This morning, I had another company come and diagnose the problem. The tech cleaned the coils, recharged the 4 pounds of freon and charged $500.

I regretted not checking with the Better Business Bureau before trusting the reviews on Yelp:

My air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, and I was forced to move my newborn daughter and her mother to a hotel, while I put up various fans to try and keep the place under 100 degrees.  It was Saturday, and I woke up early to try to find a reputable AC company that would be willing to come to Northridge on a short notice, without ripping me off.  To my surprise, many companies were straight out rude (what do you want, or you have to wait till Monday, I'm busy) while others simply didn't care to fight for my business.  I finally got a semi-rude guy (I'm too busy now, this my busy season.  No promises.) to agree he would call me when he was done with his day, to see if he could help me or not.  I felt like I was in front of the Soup Nazi and I just didn't want to piss him off, in case he agreed to grace me with his assistance.  I finally got down the list to NextGen Air Conditioning, and instantly I felt a difference.  The nice lady on the phone was honest in explaining that the techs are very busy today, but I will put you on hold and find out what we can do for you.  She came back saying she would add me to a tech's route, but I would have to be patient.  I agreed.  The tech that came was Mark Ocampo, the epitome of a professional technician.  He was nice, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the problem as he diagnosed the issue, and finally presented me with the options for repair.  The pricing was surprisingly quite reasonable, and Mark was not out to take advantage of an emergency situation, unlike AC tech's I have had the displeasure of meeting in the past.  At the end of the day, my baby girl was happy to leave the hotel, and return to her own crib.  I proudly texted the Air Conditioning Nazi the following:  Please cancel my visit request, the issue was handled promptly by NextGen Air Conditioning.  I got no response.  Thank You Mark, and NextGen Air for stepping up.  To Mark's boss:  This guy is a keeper. Make sure he get's what he needs and wants to stay happy with your company, he definitely adds value to your organization.

James and the Nexgen air guys saved me a small fortune!

One of my AC units was not working. The first company I called looked at the unit (which is in a somewhat difficult spot to service) and immediately told me I needed to replace both units for around $8,000. Ouch! I called Nexgen for a second opinion. The service tech James arrived on time and gladly pulled up all the deck boards he needed to in order to service the unit. He quickly discovered the capacitor had blown. $300 repair and done in under an hour.

I called NexGenAC for their heating service promo. Other companies have serviced my unit, and mentioned that I need new duct work and a few other replacement parts. None of them wanted to do the job. NexGenAC sent Louis Reveles to my house for the service call and inspection. Louis spent a lot of time thoroughly inspecting everything within the duct work and AC unit. He concurred that the ducting needs a full replacement and the unit, if I wanted, should have a few parts replaced. He quoted me pricing options, and I have scheduled to have the work done next week. I didn't have svc by these guys so I can't speak to that, but the techs who answer the phone really don't seem know what they're doing. Someone made an appt for my commercial service on Thursday and an email address to get the after hours permit done prior to the service. That email was undeliverable (only accepts internal communication). When I called for the correct one, a different person on the phone said that they don't have any appts available until October... I wouldn't recommend calling in an emergency and ask LOTS of questions to make sure you're getting what is promised.

Last July 12, 2018, my air conditioner started blowing hot air.  My AC was installed 6/23/13 so I called the Matthews AC who is the company that installed my unit.  Unfortunately, Matthews AC was very backed up with the heat spell we had and suggested that I call a local company.  I called NexGen air and George Ramirez, a technician with NexGen, came out to track down the problem.  After inspection, Mr. Ramirez came into to let me know I needed a whole new unit.  At that point, I showed him my installation paperwork and let him know that the warranty had just expired the week prior.  I did tell him that I will have Matthews AC come out to check it over before I take his word at replacing my AC.  So from that point he gave me a list of repair options which included a replacement.  The first option given to me was what Mr. Ramirez called a bandaid for $726.00,  I agreed to the service and my AC worked for the remainder of the hot season.  
So we just had a very hot day in June and the AC did the same thing.  I called Matthews AC and he sent a crew over to check out my AC.....the only thing found was a crimp on the end of the condensation line.  So the bottom line is if the water can't drip through the line the system shuts down. Matthews AC replaced the end of the plastic hose at no cost to me.   I really felt very taken advantage of by NexGen as most homeowners don't know what is wrong with our AC, Plumbing or electrical and we rely on HONEST service tech's.  After reading the Yelp posting for NexGen there are approximately 20 or so other clients that had similar experiences.  I did speak to one of the managers and really had nothing to add to this situation.  If this is their practice to only sell new AC's then they do need to have someone review their services.

As of Wednesday July 3rd 2019 I received a call from management regarding my review.  They were not aware of my situation. Ashley sevice manager, after reading my review reached out to to resolve my problem.  The other manager had not notified upper management when I placed my call.  Ashley when above and beyond to make my service call right.  I will give NexGen another try.

I wasn't going to write a review about Nexgen originally because we decided to go with another company. About a week ago we had our heater serviced by a Mom and Pop Shop , the technician told us that we shouldn't use our system anymore because it was giving off carbon monoxide and may be harmful to my wife and I and our 2 young children. We requested a quote from that tech to replace the furnace knowing that it could be a lot and came back with a quote of $10k because our ducting was asbestos. Wanting to get a second opinion I reached out to Yelp to request quotes. NexGen was quick to respond and came out a couple of hours later. When the technician came out he just did a visual look at the furnace and asked what we wanted and then proceeded on questioning, What do you want from me?, What do you want me to tell you?, and kept repeating that. I explained that we had two young children and we were told the furnace was letting off carbon monoxide. He then told me that they couldn't compete with Mom and Pop Shops and that unless we agreed with doing the whole system with them, he wouldn't do the job at all. We agreed to have him price the whole job out. When he was done he had 3 quotes which I appreciated. He told us about this new system that they were 1 of 3 companies in the state that were authorized to install. A VRV made by Daikin that was originally used in commercial applications and was now being adapted for residential use and would help save on our power usage, coming in at just over $30k. Wanting us to commit right on the spot we needed to discuss after all that is the cost of a car and that we would have to discuss it with my mother in-law that lived in the guest house and would be helping pay for this as it was going to give her central air and heat in her place. We discussed it and decided to call the original Mom and Pop Shop out to see if they could do the same system after all I did some research after the Nexgen tech left as he told me too and we wanted that VRV system. The next day the original contractor came out and told us he could do the exact same system and add in an additional zone in the house and added like a catwalk in our attic and all smart WIFI thermostats, so we decided to go with them. My mother in-law decided to text the technician from Nexgen and tell him thank you, but we were going with another company and he responded with, Was it the price?, not exactly as we paid a little bit more and then continued to text, I see you didn't want to go with the inverter system, VRV. NO, we did and we got it from the original Mom and Pop Shop, that didn't push us to sign the contract. We are happy with our choice and do thank Nexgen for giving us the idea of the VRV, which we love. I just urge anyone that uses them and any company for that matter, if it is a large purchase then get second opinions and don't let anyone pressure you into committing to a job unless you have fully thought about it.

Great service, great people! Our home had very old duct work that needed replacing, it seemed like a very tedious job but Ashton and his team were able to work around my schedule and finished the job so quick! The technicians, Vladimir and Daniel, who initially came and inspected my unit, provided detailed information on what I needed to know. Ashton was very informative and very responsive to all our questions and even guided us through all the needed paper work. We're very thankful to him as he was able to give us such an incredible experience through his amazing customer service. Claudio handled communications with me while the team worked on our ductwork. Jorge, Christian, Edgar, and Memo were also very clean and respectful while working in my home. They were very efficient and were mindful of what needed to be protected while the work was being done. It was such a pleasure working with them and I would highly recommend!

We needed our air ducts and HVAC checked. We had seen bees around an AC vent and we were concerned there was infestation. We needed the entire system checked and any insect problems addressed. The company sent out Felipe. He was on time and super professional. He wore disposable gloves and disposable shoe coverings to keep our house clean. He then went in the attic and assessed the situation. He took photos and video to show us what he observed and to propose a solution, which made sense. Our issue was solved. Felipe is very personable and could not have been nicer. Highly recommend!

I needed a complete upgrade to my HVAC system, and had been shopping around for the past 4 months. I got quotes from multiple sources, ranging from a single-man AC shop on up to Costco. The product and price ranges were all over the map, and it was difficult to discern who was shooting me straight and who was ripping me off. I then had the good fortune of connecting with Dennis Rulli of NexGen. Dennis was all too familiar with what I had been experiencing, and he assured me that he and NexGen would do me right. And that's precisely what they've done. Dennis and I negotiated what I would deem a very fair deal for a high-quality product, which included the furnace, coil, compressor, as well as new duct work in the attic. The NexGen crew showed up the very next morning and got right to work. The entire crew was extremely courteous, professional and efficient. They banged out the install in 1 day, ran through the controls and systems with my wife and me, and left my house as clean as when they first arrived. I'm thoroughly impressed and pleased, and would happily recommend Dennis and the NexGen team to anyone I know that may be considering jumping into a new system.

Having bought this house in 2011, we had the original central air and furnace from when the house was built in 1986. I have tried to maintain it as best as I could but it finally took a dump on me this past summer.  I have been getting estimates for over 6 months and the entire process has been horrible.  Every company I have talked to were trying to pressure me like they were drug dealers into buying their system.  This past week, I reached out to Nexgen for a quote and they sent James.  He looked at the system and asked me what I wanted to do, no pressure at all.  So after talking it over with my wife, we agreed to get a new furnace.  After contacting James for the purchase, he had mentioned that his manager was willing to give me a deal on an entire system.  The quote was 10k less than most and we were sold.  On the day of installation they sent Mark and his team to do the work.  Let me tell you, Mark is a perfectionist and his attention to detail was impeccable.  Once he was in his zone, there was no stopping him.  His management of the crew was second to none and if I could hire him I would.  NexGen really scored with him.  Throughout the process I was constantly updated by management and even had a quality assurance manager named Bo on-site to inspect and help out.  You can tell this company cares about its work, and it's employees by the way they carried themselves towards each other and with a smile.  When it comes to AC service you can't beat NexGen!

Nexgen installed a brand new heating and air conditioning system in my home in 2018. The installation went smooth and I would like to say here that I was very happy about their professionalism (as they demand top dollar for their service, I was also expecting nothing but the best). When Jeff K was selling me this system, he noted that I will get six years of a FREE tuneup.  First of all, they never called me to tune up the system in 2019. I called them in March 2020 to tune up the system. They were very professional to set up an appointment immediately, and a technician came at the scheduled time for a tuneup.  Now here things are getting a bit off track! The technician said in your service contract, we didn't mention about FREE filter, and in fact, they didn't. Changing the filter is one of the important aspects of the new system tune-up, and it's not included. When I inquired, Nexgen said they can provide me a 1-inch filter for free, although my system needs 4-inch filter (!!!!!). In Amazon, you can buy this 4-inch filter for around $16. I didn't find any justification why NexGen denied to provide a $16 worth of air filter with their annual service agreement.  

Summary: If you deal with them, please don't forget to write everything in the contract...what you will get in details. For example what will be included in the yearly maintenance serving package and what not!

Our AC unit needed a major fix. One of the NexGen reps came by and assessed our situation and told us we needed a total replacement. We heard that before, so it was not a surprise. Once we agreed to evaluate our options, sales rep (Dennis) came (after hours!) and was absolutely amazing explaining all our options. We did not feel any sales pressure, he was incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He gave us few options to meet our needs and worked with his manager Shawn on getting best available price and quickest fix. Techs came the next day and everything was done within couple hours. Apparently our old unit was so old/bad that it essentially became a potential hazard. We are so glad we used NexGen, we would highly recommend them to anyone. They are fast, honest, flexible (they provide excellent payment options) and stand behind their work.

Okay. I must say that I am COMPLETELY in shock. We are a general building contractor and our plumbers are working on a very large job that we were unable to pull them off of. I researched Yelp and decided to call NexGen, mostly because of their ratings. They were definitely prompt in going to the unit BUT once the tech arrived it went downhill VERY quickly from there. We had a running toilet in a 1 bedroom apartment that the tech said was aged (fair enough), that the entire inside needed to be rebuilt and gave me three options: 1. Just replace the fill valve (over $200 for maybe 15 minutes of work and a max $30 part), rebuild the entire toilet (quoted over $500) and to replace the toilet was over $1,000.00. Not sure if it was a golden toilet and platinum wax ring or if he assumed it would take 13 years in labor to install. I told them to charge the card for the $88.00 visit that it took them to come up with these ridiculous quotes and to leave. Beware.

friendly, knowledgeable.
Technician Ramiro came right away and remove my old wall heater , taped it He did a great job.
A crew of six came in to demo and install the system in 2days!

I want to share my appreciation to Felipe from NexGen.  I was aware of the age of our equipment and knew that we needed replacement.  Felipe was sincere and recommended that we get quotes to replace the entire system instead of trying to repair the system (20 years old).  He was such a courteous, patient, and honest individual.  Based on our experience with Felipe, we are seriously considering replacing our system with Nexgen.

I contacted Dennis who came out the next day on Friday, we spoke about installing an AC unit plus a Water Heater, he was really helpful and worked with me regarding the price, no tough sell he is straightforward and honest. He offered me a great deal for the systems if I installed them the following Monday which was not an issue, all I asked was if they could be at my home by 7am on Monday. On Monday at 7am the 3 guys arrived Carlos, Arturo and Marvin. They quickly got down to the installation, I was able to leave them alone at the house while I went off to work, I popped back lunch time they were making great progress, they were so neat and tidy, putting down tarps etc.. I came back at 3pm as they had finished up the installation, Carlos went through the various new systems with me, boy what a great job the guys had done. They completely relined the cupboard where the furnace is and they used all  new piping to the roof. The condenser outside they installed a new slab and made a great job of that without marking up my wooden deck. They installed the water heater which is now up to code which was great. So I had 3 new systems all up and running by 3.30pm. They cleared away all their boxes and mess in no time. I was really pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them not only for the great price, also their great service and installation. 5 star service all the way

Overall I was disappointed by many things. I was charged $15,000 for the complete project. I originally called them to repair a squeaky sound coming from a new, 1 year old NexGen unit . The repair/ Sales guy said he had to go up into my attic to inspect the ducts . He basically came back and told us the ducts were the problem, some were collapsed and had cracks . My wife was nervous and concerned. We were told we needed to upgrade the insulation. Total cost of the quote was $15,000.
Here are some suggestions:
1. Get three quotes . I trusted them with the quote .
2. Make sure the contract has details. My contract is very vague and simple. My fault for trusting them. They lean on Christian family values. The contract does not specify labor costs and material cost . Make sure they show both labor cost and material costs.
I have more detail to my experience and hope if you read this it will help you make a decision. Now that I saw the type of work and materials used I can base an actual cost of the job to approximately $9,500. I have cameras in front of my home which I was able to see all materials used.
I went up to the attic to see what the first crew did. WHAT A MESS! I was upset. See pics attached. I gave them a second chance to fix it . They did send another crew an they did an ok job. Waiting on the City inspector to sign off . We are in our 60's and feel we were taken advantage of. We did sign the contract and will keep our promise to pay in full .
Conclusion, if Nextgen wants to correct this experience, they should send me an itemized invoice with parts and labor. They will see I was over charged $5,000. If I did not go up to the attic to inspect the first time I would have lost more $$$. Maybe NexGen will and honor God to what is right.

Very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the technician. Jose V from the Northridge location was able to diagnose and repair our a/c and heater unit. The job was completed same day at an affordable rate. Jose was thorough in explaining everything that needed to be repaired. He even noticed an issue with our drainage pipe from the roof and repaired it. The customer service over the phone was great as well. They were courteous and called same day to ensure my scheduling needs were being met.  Would highly recommend nexgen and will use them for future needs.

The best of the best! I own a Preschool and late Friday afternoon our air conditioner quit working. It was 100 degrees outside with the heat expected to continue through the following week. We have used Nexgen on numerous occasions and have always been pleased with their service. I called them right away and they scheduled an appointment for me Saturday morning. Edward showed up on time with a great attitude and went right to work. He found the problem and was very professional. Edward explained everything to me and went to work on fixing our air conditioner. Edward completed his repairs and wrote up his invoice and explained to me that I was only being charged the Service Call as he was donating his time in Labor Costs for the children of Kids n things. I am writing this with tears in my eyes. It has been a rough road for us during this Covid Pandemic and our budget is extremely tight. Edward you are one in a million. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I contacted Dennis who came out the next day on Friday, we spoke about installing an AC unit plus a Water Heater, he was really helpful and worked with me regarding the price, no tough sell he is straightforward and honest. He offered me a great deal for the systems if I installed them the following Monday which was not an issue, all I asked was if they could be at my home by 7am on Monday. On Monday at 7am the 3 guys arrived Carlos, Arturo and Marvin. They quickly got down to the installation, I was able to leave them alone at the house while I went off to work, I popped back lunch time they were making great progress, they were so neat and tidy, putting down tarps etc.. I came back at 3pm as they had finished up the installation, Carlos went through the various new systems with me, boy what a great job the guys had done. They completely relined the cupboard where the furnace is and they used all new piping to the roof. The condenser outside they installed a new slab and made a great job of that without marking up my wooden deck. They installed the water heater which is now up to code which was great. So I had 3 new systems all up and running by 3.30pm. They cleared away all their boxes and mess in no time. I was really pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them not only for the great price, also their great service and installation. 5 star service all the way

We have used NexGen for air conditioning maintenance and repairs for the last few years.  All the technicians have been great.  They were prompt, cordial and took care of the problem quickly.  We also had our tankless water heater inspected and flushed twice and were happy with those services.  

The last HVAC tech, Manny was exceptionally thorough, knowledgeable, and caring.  He showed that he really wanted to make us feel that he would be there to take care of all of our air conditioning needs.  He explained things extremely well to us.  I would definitely recommend NexGen for maintenance and repairs. For that we would give them 5 stars.  

However, we chose not to have NexGen do the HVAC replacement when it became clear that we would need to replace coils and condenser as the repairs were only temporary fixes.  While discussing the options with the salesman, he was really pushing one option in particular, the most expensive one.  We did not feel that he was really taking our needs into consideration and was trying to sell us more than we really needed.  After obtaining other comparison quotes, we found the other companies to be at least a few thousand dollars cheaper for the same thing.  One in particular had exceptional ratings and a great price so we went with them.  We are happy with our choice and the HVAC is humming along beautifully!

Excellent company, excellent service and great price. We had all kinds of problems with a roff heating unit on a rental we own and Dennis came out on a Saturday, guaranteed there would be no problems and the new unit was installed Monday. There were some issues due to some duct damping that had done by another company, but NexGen came out and took care of it. Highly recommended!

I had the most amazing experience with Rolando. He came to the house on time. He was professional, friendly and explained everything in layman's terms.

Yasmin came and did an amazing job as well. She explained pricing and the next steps for this project. We connected very easily and I felt at ease moving forward with this investment.

I was having trouble with an old a/c roof unit on my house and Technician Levin came out to check on it. He was great, kept his distance and made the whole covid 19 experience a simple breeze. He helped me understand the parts that weren't working and why they needed to be replaced.

It turns out my system was in bad shape and even if I repaired it, soon something else would fail. Once we realized my situation, Dennis came by to confirm and help me configure the best options for my budget.

I am happy to say I am replacing my 25+year old unit with something much more efficient and up to date all thanks to Levin's expertise and Dennis' guidance. The very next day Gonzalo came by with his crew and knocked out a complete duct and unit replacement in one day. Great job!

Would I recommend? YES! Definitely!

Update: I called Next-gen a year after doing an $18k project, for which I left them a stellar review. What was remaining from the initial job was a 1.5T Mitsubishi mini split for the garage for $3K, which the had told me a month ago they would honor. The sales guy showed up promptly the next day, and we discussed some changes to the scope. We agreed that instead of the 1-zone 1.5T I needed a 2 zone system, plus I also wanted to put a tankless heater outside. They came back with a $17,500 quote, after discounts for the AC and the heater, installed. The retail price for some of the best Mitsubishi 2-zone/2 head mini splits is $2700, and the best 8GPM tankless heaters are around $2000(Rinnai or Takagi). Of course there is additional cost in pipes etc and labour for a day of work, so say $4700 + $1000 (line set) + $1500 labor for 1 day of work for a crew of 3. That's $7200 give or take. After speaking with their supervisor the final price I was told they could do this project for was $15,000. They explained how the company had grown from 23 crews a year ago to 75 today, so the owner Ish doesn't speak with the customers any longer and they need to pay the 100 girls running around the office. I got several quotes from other companies and the average price to do this work was around $7-$8K, which makes sense per my estimates. Lastly, I had referred NextGen to my brother to replace a copper line set for his garage mini split (lower end system, $750 total retail price with the line set), and he was quoted $2000 to replenish the freon and change the line set. So I told Zachary (polite manager who followed up and who did his best to fix the situation) that while I once thought NextGen was great to work with, they don't seem to care about their small customer any longer, but then again they must have plenty of big commercial projects to pay for the massive overhead they kept mentioning about throughout this last interaction...

Outstanding Home AC System Repair Technician from NexGen -

I recently had my home AC system looked at by NexGen repair technician (Anthony Herrera) and I wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience.

First and foremost, the technician arrived at the scheduled time with constant updates via text that he was nearby. He was courteous and first took the time to listen attentively to my concerns regarding the AC unit, ensuring that they fully understood the issue at hand. His friendly demeanor immediately put me/my family at ease, and I knew I was in good hands.

Anthony's (technician) ability to communicate throughout the inspection/repair/tune-up process was exceptional. He patiently answered all my questions, since my background is electrical engineering providing detailed explanations and offering helpful suggestions kept me very interested in the process.

In conclusion, my experience with the NexGen/AC system repair technician was outstanding in every aspect, truly commendable, and trustworthy in my opinion. When we started to add up all the cost of possible repairs/upgrade on a 13-year-old system it was almost at a new system price. At this time, I asked for a quote on a New complete AC/heater system with new duct work. Their price was a bit higher than when i first installed a new unit 13 years ago.

Anthony also took the time to create several options for system upgrades. I felt I could trust him. Oh, he also reminded me that there was special discount and financing through Home-Depot credit service available. Which I took advantage off just in-case we bought a new system I was pre-approved.

I truly feel that since there were no questions that were not answered and exceptional professionalism, expertise of the product this will definitely be a company I will call again in the near future. ( NexGen AC/Heating/Plumbing). Since we will be doing some home additions in the near future, we decided to put a pause on installing a new AC/Heater system at this time.

I just had Pablo (project manager) and Roger install an entire new system in my condo replacing the original and defunct system from 1974... it was complicated, tricky and not easy but the guys took the time, were thoughtful, thorough and did an AMAZING job. I even had to leave for a meeting during their work and fully trusted them in my place. They also hooked up my Nest thermostat which is working like a charm with the new HVAC system. I really appreciated their hard work and the pride they took in doing a great job. Highly recommend!

I am very impressed with the customer service of this company. My A/C had not worked well for the past 4 years since I purchased my house. I had been told by various repairmen that the problem was it needed refrigerant or the lack of air was that I had floor vents, or that I needed to move the unit from the basement to the attic and install all new ductwork and wall registers. I always felt like they saw an older widow and were trying to take advantage of me. The unit quit working completely during the heat wave that struck last week and I was left scrambling to get someone out to replace it. I must have called 6-7 places on Monday and no one even answered their phones (to date only 1 called me back to schedule someone to come out in 2 weeks). I saw NexGen's ad on the morning news on Tuesday and decided to give them a call. To my surprise, someone actually answered the phone AND was able to send the area manager, Dennis Rulli, out later the same day. Dennis was very knowledgeable, explained that my ductwork was not defective, I did not need to move the equipment to the attic and didn't need new registers but that I just needed a new condensing unit. He didn't try to oversell me on a larger A/C condenser than I needed and scheduled the work to be done 2 days later. The installation techs showed up on time, did the work in a professional manner, were polite and answered all my questions and cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend this company! we had a small gas leak somewhere in our house, my wife called NexGen and talked to a very nice woman in costumer service who said she could dispatch a tech between 4 and 5 pm the same day. Around 2 pm we got a call from the tech John Zarate and he said he would be at our house within 30 minutes. when he arrived he went straight to work trying to locate the leak. Through the process of elimination John was able to locate the leak and make the necessary repairs. John was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and was very good at communicating during the entire process. NexGen provides high quality service for a reasonable price. I give the entire experience 5 Starts and will recommend NexGen to family and friends. Thanks again John! You made the entire process a pleasant one!!!

Brian Shirley  came over and made a very competitive estimate.   His guys were over the following week and knocked out the job in two days with very little disruption to the house.   The installers were thorough, polite and neat.  They cleaned up after themselves and instructed me as to how to operate and maintain the unit.  They made sure I was happy with their work before leaving the house..  couldn't be happier.  Now if Thies unit lasts 60 years like our old one did we will have gotten our money's worth and more!

Amazing. My wife and I have been in our house for 12 years, and every summer we are roasting inside. Running our AC unit nonstop, nearly 24/7, once the summer would get over 105 we couldn't get our house below 79 degrees. Weather stripping, trying to fix insulation, caulking around windows, nothing. I called Nexgen and their guy came out to check through our attic. He told us the previous homeowner had jacked up our duct work in the attic. The initial home builders had used non insulated bare metal ductwork, used for heating, as our duct. No insulation around the duct, there were even a few 2-3' gaps between ducts, that had NO duct, and were actually bridged by tons of duct tape that had been stretched from one duct to the next, creating a 'duct' made completely out of TAPE. He gave me multiple quotes.

The ultra hot summer weather was coming, so my wife and I told him we'd like to go forward. He got on his phone, started talking to his office and told us HE COULD HAVE HIS GUYS AT OUR HOUSE IN 45 MINUTES to start on the system!!

That's insane! (in a good way!!)
We told them to start the following day. We booked a hotel room for 2 days, packed up the kids, and in just 2 days, NexGen had sent an army of technicians to our house, tore out ALL of our old ductwork, as well as our HVAC unit and the condenser unit from our garage and outside.

They RELOCATED our brand new HVAC unit up into our attic, right in the center of the house, so now the amount of air we our getting out of our ducts is AWESOME! And I am in complete shock that you cant even hear the AC unit in the attic, though its' practically right over our heads in the attic.

Because nexgen also does plumbing, we had them remove our 20 year old water heater, and installed a brand new 50 gallon tankless water heater in our garage.

They demo'd out everything, put in the new HVAC ductwork, which looks fantastic, installed the new amazing HVAC unit in our attic (which REALLY IS QUIET!!!) and the new water heater, and cleaned everything up. All in 2 days.

I couldn't believe that the moment my wife and I gave them the go ahead, they literally were ready to have guys at the house within 45 minutes. They can start immediately on any job, because they don't need to order anything. They have all of the units in their local warehouse.

These guys are awesome!!!!
Our house is cool for the first time since we bought this place.
It's the first summer where we haven't had to worry about what to do with the heat and our kids.

Gabriel showed up in a face mask about an hour after I called for service - which is basically instantly when it comes to contractors. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Zero hassle, got the job done quickly and thoroughly. The pricing was less than 1/5th what other contractors have charged me for similar work. The company also has several other trades incase a project gets complicated. I've added this company to my rolodex.

Marvin and his crew came in and did a excellent job on reinstalling my existing ac unit and ducts. I learned a hard lesson, don't go cheap when hiring a contractor. Price for tune-up/service of A/C units was fair and moderate to low compared to competitors.

One minor complaint is being made to feel pressured into upsells once on-site, but sadly that is pretty much the same with all service companies.

I got a quote for them to make my fuel line which is about 2 -3 feet into galvanized steel and because their pricing was higher and they could not price match another offer I received,  Nexgen offered a complementary gas repair to be performed by another company.  How nice was of that for them to offer this to me.  I will reach out to them again next time I need plumbing work :).

Contacted them for an urgent repair. They at least seemed to communicate well...one star for that. I received a text saying the plumber would be there between 8-9am the next day. At about 8:45 a plumber called and said he had been double booked by nexgen and wouldn't be able to come to my house until 11 or 12.  When I got in contact with the office, they offered no conciliation or customer service, just offered to reschedule at another date.  
Now I'm left scrambling to find another company  to come fix my plumbing.
Make sure you set aside a full day when you book with nexgen. The lack of concern for a customers time is a common problem these days, and this company is no different.

My technician Brandon came out on one of the hottest days of the year in July when my air conditioning unit went out. He explained multiple options for repair and for a new unit. I ended up going for the repair and my unit is working great. About 2 months later when my neighbors complained about the noise, Brandon came back and put pads on it to help with the vibration. He remembered everything from when he was here before. He was very quick and helpful. Even during a time when parts are scarce. I will definitely call them back when I'm ready for a new unit.

I had a shower and one toilet back up and the next day, my 2 kitchen sinks did the same. Then my other toilet backed up.

It was determined that my sewer pipes from the house to the mainline were rotten. The were the original pipes from around 1946.

Techicians Pablo and Jose really worked hard and did a wonderful job.

Well they kept saying leave an honest review so here goes...

The service call 4 stars:
My original appointment was Thursday from 4-6. At 5:45 I called because I did not hear anything and after speaking with the service department I got rescheduled to Friday with no timeframe. I called again Friday morning around 10 AM because I still I didn't hear about a timeframe that the technician was coming. The representative gave me the timeframe and waived my service fee because of the communication issues I was having with the company. I thanked her for that and my technician Derek showed up on time and he was really nice and helpful and told me what was wrong with my air conditioning package unit and even fixed the wire to my nest so that I can now have heat flowing into the house. The main issue is that my unit is 37 years old and needs replacement. What a surprise.

The Estimate process 2.5 stars:
So the project manager Denis came to my house same day to give me pricing of a new unit because the repairs to a 37 year old air-conditioning unit would not be worth it and it would constantly need to be repaired. So when I sat down with Dennis he gave me the pricing of a new unit Nexgen/Amana and installment and that was the price of a brand new Nisan Versa (look it up and you'll get my drift... $15,000). I told him I was not prepared to pay that much and wanted to see about repairing the unit and he said... OK well give me a number that you think you're comfortable with to purchase a new unit. I'm a new homeowner, so I don't know how much it cost to replace air-conditioning units but if you're going to give me a price of 15,000 I am going to say I would feel comfortable around 10,000. So then he called his boss put him on speaker phone and then it was a whole show about how they're not supposed to do this but because I am a nurse during the pandemic we will give you this deal of $10,000 and that this is the best deal in town and they will do it right the first time and they are highly rated on Yelp and A on BBB and everyone else is a mom and pop shop.

I almost signed on the dotted line until something internally told me to do a quick Google search while he was writing up the contract. A quick Google search showed me that the unit itself is anywhere between $2,500 and $3,000. So in my head I'm like why am I being charged $7,000 to install it. I pumped the brakes and said that I needed to get at least a couple more estimates before proceeding with contract and then thanked him for his time. He then assured me that we would be in contact on Monday because I would not be able to find a better deal than theirs and if so they would match it. I immediately got back on Yelp and sent out a messages to a couple of companies that all had five stars and over 200 reviews. Also companies that had A ratings on BBB (because that's what I was continually being told that Nexgen had during my appointment ). I also reached out to my friend who is a contractor and when I told him the whole process he laughed because he said that's how a business is ran. The expectation is not for the customer to actually do their own research but to go face value with what is said and sign on the dotted line.

All the estimates of different companies (I received 3 others) after coming out and looking at my unit were under $10,000 without needed to do any negotiations . They all offered crane usage, verified work permits and licensing, and the same warranty guarantees that my original estimate with Nexgen offered. At that point I felt comfortable with my decision to go with another company because of how my experience was with that estimate process and it felt very honest and transparent.

So in summary the service call was good but if you're going to buy a whole new system with them my advice is to get at least 3 to 4 estimates before making your final decision otherwise be prepared to shell out a pretty penny or be savvy and negotiate better rates off bat.

I was contacted by a very friendly Nexgen representative shortly after writing my original review and she apologized for the mix-up. She asked if she could get somebody out here to make the situation right and I said if you can that would be great. Good as her word she had a tech out here the very next day to do the checkup. He was friendly, professional, and very thorough. Took apart my ac unit and furnace, cleaned them both up and ran diagnostics on the whole system. Everything is working as it should, which is great considering summer is on its way and it gets hot up here! I like the service so much that I signed up for the maintenance pass for two additional visits. I wasn't pressured into it, there was no hard sell, he just asked me if I would be interested and since it's work I'd be getting done anyway I said yes. Needless to say I will be using Nexgen for all of my heating/cooling related issues in the future. Great customer service, which is rare these days!

Nexgen Air Conditioning Heating and Plumbing offers exceptional service and peace of mind.


We were recently told by another company with which we had a maintenance contract our system needed a major repair that would be costly and that labor was not covered under our warranty. You can probably imagine the stress this unexpected expense caused. Displeased with the other company's business practices we decided to reach out to Nexgen to inspect and install the needed part(s).

Our Nexgen technician, George, was a breath of fresh air. He inspected our system and explained why the assertion that such a newer system needed major repairs was unfounded. In fact, he showed us that our system was in excellent condition. The Nexgen Customer Support rep over the phone explained that this second opinion would be FREE, but this company has earned our business and trust. We have now signed up for their maintenance plan and are delighted with their consistent attentive service and professional and warm demeanor.

I reached out to NEXGEN for their Special: $68.00 Heating system maintenance/inspection. Mark Ocampo Service Technician was extremely through and did a fantastic job!  I will definitely be signing up for their Blue Club which includes 2 complete system tune ups once in winter and once in the summer for a total cost of $135.00.  NEXGEN is by far the best service and price.  I am delighted with the work that was done and I highly recommend!

I am very impressed with the customer service of this company.  My A/C had not worked well for the past 4 years since I purchased my house.  I had been told by various repairmen that the problem was it needed refrigerant or the lack of air was that I had floor vents, or that I needed to move the unit from the basement to the attic and install all new ductwork and wall registers.  I always felt like they saw an older widow and were trying to take advantage of me.  The unit quit working completely during the heat wave that struck last week and I was left scrambling to get someone out to replace it.  I must have called 6-7 places on Monday and no one even answered their phones (to date only 1 called me back to schedule someone to come out in 2 weeks).  I saw NexGen's ad on the morning news on Tuesday and decided to give them a call.  To my surprise, someone actually answered the phone AND was able to send the area manager, Dennis Rulli, out later the same day.  Dennis was very knowledgeable, explained that my ductwork was not defective, I did not need to move the equipment to the attic and didn't need new registers but that I just needed a new condensing unit.  He didn't try to oversell me on a larger A/C condenser than I needed and scheduled the work to be done 2 days later.  The installation techs showed up on time, did the work in a professional manner, were polite and answered all my questions and cleaned up before they left.  I highly recommend this company!  Thank you NexGen!!

I called Nexgen to come out to my house and assess/repair my old floor heater. Louis was the technician that came to my house and he was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained what was going on and went over my options with me. He was very friendly and explained things in terms that I could understand. I would call them again if I ever have an issue with my heaters.

I had a great experience with the air conditioning team from NexGen  (John, Johnny ,Nate,  Benny, Hector and David) that recently replaced my condenser and furnace   The heat and humidity outside were near record and with the broken HVAC, my family was  left sweltering inside our home.

The anticipation grew as we eagerly awaited the arrival of the HVAC team that would finally bring relief to our home. Fortunately , this team were professional, highly skilled, and with a personalized approach that stood out. They were on time ,  explained the process , and paid attention to details.

Their teamwork was impressive, resulting in an efficient installation. The improved performance of my HVAC system post-installation is evident, and I highly recommend this  team for their first rate service and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Carlos, our technician, called before he was to come to our house as promised (btw - no 4 hour window!! They said between 8-9 and he called at 8 with a ten minute arrival time!!). When he arrived he was polite and went straight to work after discussing the process. His honesty was much appreciated. He noted we did not have the air filter installed . He called the manager who updated our  filter at no cost. Again, it is his type of service you want and will subscribe to for future use. Of course, during the heat wave our 23 year old HVAC system decided to call it quits. I called 2 other companies on a Friday before calling NexGen. The first one said they would be out in a week. The second said Monday. NexGen said they would come on Saturday at 6pm. I called at 4pm Saturday to confirm bc their website said they close at 5 pm. I was reassured that someone would be out and at 4:30 Felipe arrived at our house, an hour and a half early! After doing a detailed inspection Felipe told us our unit was DOA. He contacted Yasmin, the project manager, and Saturday at 6pm she was at our house giving us options. Yasmin explained they do not work on commission and she doesn't like spending other people's money. What I truly appreciated was Yasmin telling us about her vast experience in the field. She's very passionate, knowledgeable and her professionalism and honesty are so refreshing! We felt very confident going forward having our HVAC system and all duct work replaced by NexGen.
They were able to start work 8am Monday morning, they are closed Sunday's (For God and Family, says so on these website)
Johnie and David came out and did exceptional work, they are a great team. They had a great attitude and were so caring in making sure our floors and appliances were covered. At the end of each day the house was put back together as it was when they arrived. We were so impressed with their attention to detail.
We were up and running on day 3! What I really appreciate about NexGen is everyone I spoke to was professional and kind. The company works together as a great team with exceptional customer service and that is a rarity in today's world. Thank you NexGen!

Tyler and Jose saved the day! They provided stellar service. They came in and fixed my toilet that was giving me problems for the last couple of months. Both individuals were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I needed a complete upgrade to my HVAC system, and had been shopping around for the past 4 months.  I got quotes from multiple sources, ranging from a single-man AC shop on up to Costco.  The product and price ranges were all over the map, and it was difficult to discern who was shooting me straight and who was ripping me off.  I then had the good fortune of connecting with Dennis Rulli of NexGen.  Dennis was all too familiar with what I had been experiencing, and he assured me that he and NexGen would do me right.  And that's precisely what they've done.  Dennis and I negotiated what I would deem a very fair deal for a high-quality product, which included the furnace, coil, compressor, as well as new duct work in the attic.  The NexGen crew showed up the very next morning and got right to work.  The entire crew was extremely courteous, professional and efficient.  They banged out the install in 1 day, ran through the controls and systems with my wife and me, and left my house as clean as when they first arrived.  I'm thoroughly impressed and pleased, and would happily recommend Dennis and the NexGen team to anyone I know that may be considering jumping into a new system.

We definitely had a NexGen technician come out.  How can we prove it?  We can prove it because we learned that every tech's picture on Yelp bags them a free pair of tickets to an Angels baseball game compliments of your company.

Back to your comment.  Either your techs are intentionally trained to make up unnecessary, fairy tale repairs costing customers thousands $$$$ of dollars (which happened to us), or your techs are horribly trained that they don't know to use the process of elimination by starting with the cheapest solution before gradually moving up to more expensive ones thereby helping customers save money.  Thankfully, the Internet is a great teacher and helped us know what the average cost of real repairs should be (not that we needed to do any of the repairs that was made up by your technician).

In the end, we called another company who took a truly honest look at our HVAC problem, determined it was a bad capacitor, charged us $75 plus labor and left.  Our system is now purring with ice cold air.

When our gas was suddenly shut off because of a leak, it turned out to be a balancing act between repairs and the gas company. NexGen went above and beyond to help get things back in working order. They covered our floors, cleaned up everything and worked around our issues. Happy to have our gas back and working; and be safe!

I had such a GREAT experience with NexGen! Our old compressor finally died and they were so great about getting us a great deal on a new system and getting the install done the next day just before a massive heatwave. Their workers Christopher Anaya and lead man Michael Cerrato were professional and made sure to do a thorough job on the new Install.

This is a great company. I felt very taken care of. Dennis came on time to our appointment and then guided me through all my options. He made himself available to me when I had questions, even at 7 pm! He was professional and polite. The next day a crew was here bright and early and were also very professional and friendly. The A&A team came to the rescue not only once but twice!!! Arnold and Andrew are an amazing duo. They are prompt , efficient, and knowledgeable.They may look young but they are professionals.

We have a new house but the builder cut many corners, the AC installation for one. The unit is on the roof and they were nice enough to take many pictures of what was wrong with it. Turns out the sealant was decaying and letting in water through the vents. They used a better sealant and guess who didn't have any leaks through Hurricane Hillary?! Us!

The second time was just Andrew. It was nice to see a familiar face and who knew the house. This time one of the pipes came off the unit and was leaking through the side of the house. He was able to fix the issue in no time.
