I was stuck on Easter with backed up toilets and showers! With company for the weekend this is not the best situation to be in! Called Mr. Rooter and within an hour our plumber was knocking on the door! Keenon was the plumber that came to help us and he did a great job, explaining what was going on the whole way through! An hour and a half later we were up and running for $232 ... I am not mad! Super happy with the service and timing of Mr. Rooter! Thanks for your help Keenon ... sorry it was on Easter!

Ask for Jared!!

Back story: last night, Thanksgiving, we had 16 guests over for a giant dinner - along with the expected mass of dishes to be done. At around 4PM, the drain system in our house backed up and began to put our dinner to a stand-still. We began phoning plumbers (with, admittedly, low expectations that any would be available). After a half-dozen unsuccessful calls to others, Mr. Rooter actually answered the phone! Better, the gentleman told us he could have a plumber to us by 8:00PM. Understanding that plumbers also have families and enjoy Thanksgiving, too, we were very happy with this solution. However, not a half-hour later, I received a call from Jared, of Mr. Rooter, letting me know he's on the way! Everything fixed, ahead of schedule! Outstanding!

this place is very shady I had a person come to give me a est on hooking up a garbage disposal I knew what need to get done it would have taken me about 2-3 hours I figure 100 to 200 dollar would take a plumber maybe a hour well the guy arrived 45 minutes late and i was his first call he came in looked at the job went out to his truck came back in and gave me a 1100.00 est  after I kicked him out of my house i called another plumber and he came on about a hour after i called and put it in for 160.00 .........In response to you It was you taking advantage of the public If I had no knowledge of plumbing your guy would have rip me off which I am sure if  I would have had to pay the $1100 for one hour of work. To act like this is a mistake is really kinda brushing over a serious problem.  looking at  the other comments this is a pattern of how you do business take advantage until you get caught. Did you refund part of the person's money when they paid 1k for 2-3 hours work? I bet not businesses like your should be shut down I had a person named Tammy contact me stating that is was lying which is incorrect it was for the install of a GD and every I stated is correct maybe employee's should spend more time make sure their customer are not getting ripped off and not messaging people trying to get them to change the truth

I have to say that ADAM made what was easily one of the worst experiences I can remember tolerable. That is in it self one hell of an accomplishment.

He arrived at the time he was set to arrive at. He was very courteous, clean, polite, and knowledgeable. He knew what he was doing which is something not a lot of people can claim now days it seems. He kept me in the loop the whole time and asked me if I wanted to see things as he discovered them. I was able to see on the monitor what he found in the pipes that were stopped up. He listened to me and even when I asked the most asinine of questions he answered them to full extent of his knowledge.

It turned out that roots had completely caved in a large section of sewage pipe and it had to be replaced underground. He was unable to do it that same day but promised to come first thing in the morning and get it taken care of with only minimal interruption of service if any. Well when I came home from work he had indeed done the repair and everything has been great since.

I can only speak for my experience with ADAM and for that I will say I highly recommend ADAM for any of your Plumbing Emergency needs. Thank you Adam!

I had called another Plumbing company for help to replace a faulty regulator on my outdoor fire pit.  This isn't a big job but it is recommended to use an experienced plumber if you don't want to blow yourself up.  Well, the first company said they didn't do this work even if their website said they did.  So, I called Mr. Rooter late in the day. The young man who took my call was very professional and he assured me they could do this job and had experienced staff who had done this type of job before.  Steve came out the next day on time, took a look at what needed to be done, and gave me a fair estimate.  He had to go buy the regulator but he came back quickly and had the job done in little time.  I observed the work and felt very confident with the quality of the work.  My fire pit is back in business for the upcoming cool weather thanks to Mr. Rooter.

Called them last Saturday 6(22/19 about 1215 pm. I explain the problem to them and they said they could be out between two and 4 o'clock. They finally got there after 6 PM. Our younger kid with an older fella came into my bathroom to assess the situation. They stated I needed a fill valve and or a flapper. They said if it was just the fill valve it would be $300 and if it was both that would be $400. I don't know much about toilet repair but I do know that that's more expensive than a brand new toilet. I'm not stupid. I told them no thank you and they left. I called someone else over the weekend and they came Monday 6/24/19. He assessed the situation in one minute and was done placing the small rubber gasket. The total cost was $100. Not only do they not know what they're doing, they try to rip you off obviously.

Great communication -- booked a time slot and they reconfirmed timeslot of arrival on the day. Technician called later and arrived when he said he would. He was clear about how much it would cost before work started. He snaked our plumbing with a camera, and used that to clear out the obstruction and get everything working. He made sure the pipe was completely unclogged before leaving and gave us some tips on what to do to prevent it happening again. If only all services we used at home were this professional!

This review is Francisco. He is the ONLY technician I trust!!! He is polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful in explaining things. Francisco was quick, honest, and gave me a reasonable rate. I had two other technicians come out before, but I request Francisco now at all times. It is evident to me that he is the hardest worker in the company. Just wanted to write this review to get credit where credit is due. Thanks, Francisco!

My bathtub drain wasn't working.  Tried everything, but nothing worked so I called Mr. Rooter.  Technician came by and tried running his hand snake, which I what I did.  When the drain would not unclog, he diagnosed a broken pipe based on dirt found at tip of snake.

He quoted $1,600 to fix pipe, without even looking under the house to see what needed to be fixed.  I said thank you and showed him the door.  Since the drain was not fixed, there was no charge.

Snappy Rooter replaced the drain pipe and tub strainer a few days later for $350.

Mr Rooter was incredible! Be sure and ask for ADAM! He was great, we live in Loomis so its a bit of a drive but he came and was very pleasant! It was cold and like 8 pm ... He worked quick and the price was very fair, yet took the time to get to know us a little and build that customer Service.

Adam gave a good quote to start, and due to our home and pipe configuration things were a little more difficult, but he clearly explained the options and the costs prior to finishing the job ... he communicated with us through the whole process of resolving our stoppage!!

Mr. Rooter has our business for good! Thanks Adam for everything ...

Our kitchen and bathtub backed up on Thanksgiving (2011). I called Mr. Rooter and the plumber arrived before the appt. time.  He tried to clean the drain pipes for $400 (excessive?) but it didn't clear the bathtub blockage. He went under the house and came back with a quote of $1382 to replace a blocked pipe. He  had called in to his manager for a price quote telling him the job could take him all day.  He was to arrive the next morning between 8am and 10am.  He didn't arrive until noon.  He worked 2 hours and took a 2 hour break for lunch and to pick up a 'cap' for the pipe.  When he returned he finished the job in another 30 minutes.  They still wanted $1382 for a job that took 2.5 hours! Their reasoning was that it COULD have taken all day and I needed to pay the agreed upon amount. I refused to pay $600 an hour for this job. After 2 calls to the manager (by the plumber) he agreed on a slightly lesser amount for the job. I believe the plumber did a good job so I'm not complaining about that. I would prefer to pay by the hour for this type of thing. They don't reveal an hourly price, they just bid the job.  I know plumbers are very expensive and I should have gotten other quotes but we were stuck with no bathtub and no way to use the kitchen sink or dishwasher on a weekend.  Bottom line: I would not use Mr. Rooter for any plumbing problems in the future.  I felt ripped off and charged excessively for this job.  Anyone know of a good plumber?

Our sewage was leaking into the backyard and as first time homeowners of course we didn't know where to start. Marcus came to our house promptly around 10pm at night to inspect what the issue was with the drain camera. His knowledge was very informational and he answered each question my Fiancé and I had. Marcus was also able to inform us about previous work that was done on our sewage line from the previous owners. With the knowledge received we made the decision to replace our sewage line. The work was done and we did not have to cancel our personal weekend plans. Marcus and Chris was able to place boards on top of the trench for our dogs safety. We appreciate the knowledge received and the professional work that was exhibited.
We will use this company for other services in the future!

Do NOT use this company! We called them to fix a clogged drain. When they arrived they looked in the bathroom, but not down the drains, then asked to see the pipes under the house. After spending a few minutes in the basement, they said there was no way to clear the pipes and gave us an estimate of $2,200-$3,200 to replace the pipes. We called another plumber who promptly cleared the pipes for $40. Not sure if Mr. Rooter was trying to rip us off or if they were simply incompetent!

Used them again for the same issue as before this past week. Had to get a drain cleanout put in which we tried to delay before because of the price. They are very professional. We checked around for prices and they did give us the best price. Awesome company. Quick response. Will use them for all my plumbing needs.

Had a surprise leak behind a wall. Without opening the wall to diagnose the problem, Mr. Rooter gave me two options only, even though it was Xmas eve and I said I had little money: Either (1) pay them $1,500 to try to fix it with no guarantees that it can be fixed; or (2) pay them $3,500 to replace the entire galvanized pipe system in the house. I called another plumber who found the leak and patched it for only $150, which should hold me over until I can save up to replace all the galvanized pipes.

When I called I spoke with a lady name Tammy who was very pleasant and got someone to come over within 30mins. Tony was the person who helped us. He was very helpful and explained everything to us in detail and was able to diagnose the problem and fix in a short period of time. I highly recommend this company and Tony to anyone in need.

In my opinion, this is one of the most dishonest and shady plumbing companies in Sacramento. I had a couple of minor to intermediate plumbing problems that needed to be fixed in my newly purchased home prior to the new laminate that was being installed the next day as I couldn't have water getting into the new flooring and ruining it. Me and a family member were at a local Home Depot trying to figure out what plumbing parts we needed for the jobs when one of their employees in a Mr Rooter Sacramento company uniform walked up to us, overhearing our conversation, and asked us if we needed help finding the correct parts. We said yes and thanked him repeatedly for his help as we were very lost. We explained what we needed done in the home and he spent about 20 minutes taking us around the store showing us what we would need. After collecting said parts, me and my family member were discussing how and who we were going to get to do the plumbing work on such short notice when Jona told me to take down his number, send him pictures of the work, and that he would send us a quote for the tasks we needed done and see if he had time on his schedule that day due to our time requirements. We purchased the parts and products he said we needed, and did exactly that. He later responded, said that he could do the work the same day for $1,000 (he insisted that choosing to go with another company would cost me at least 2-3k, and then later charged me an additional $380 on the job) and would be by with his truck at the agreed time. Jona showed up on time, in a Mr Rooter truck and uniform, was very friendly, and was there for maybe an hour as evidenced by his truck at my property in the attached picture. It was only until he was physically on his way out my door after performing the work in a rush and getting paid, that he informed me he that he told his company he was on an estimate, and never invoiced the work through Mr Rooter, so he was running out of time and had to go to the next job. I was pretty taken aback by this, but he assured me the work was done and that it was taken care of. He never provided me any sort of an invoice or receipt, and promptly left. He was also working in a vacant home where the water was shut off from the previous owners 5-6 hours after he performed the work so it was only until about 5 days later when it was turned back on by the water company after the New Years holiday that I would discover Jonas work not only did not fix the various problems he was hired to repair (one of the sinks he worked on is still leaking) but appeared to also make one issue worse. The morning that the water was turned back on and I was supposed to move in, the very same apparatus that Jona repaired in my laundry room closet busted and flooded scalding hot water into my property for god knows how long until I got there with my movers. It has since been an absolute disaster. I had to open a home insurance claim and call a Restoration company as the damage to my home is over 68 thousand dollars. Since hiring Jona, I have also discovered he did not hold an individual plumbing license and as he wasn't working under his company's license which he did not disclose until after performing the work, it was also illegal for him to charge me any more than $500 for the work he performed. I contacted Mr Rooter Sacramento and was quickly passed to the owner, Jeff, who listened to the whole situation as I was extremely overwhelmed and devastated. I'm a medically retired disabled veteran, and I don't have the ability financially or situationally to repair this damage on my own after just buying the home. He said that he sympathized, but that his company would take no responsibility for any of Jona's actions, even though he was in the scope of their employment when he came up to us, he was in his company uniform and truck at all times when he performed the illegal and unlicensed work, and used company tools to work on my property. He also informed me Jona would be getting terminated and fired that day.  Jona has also since stopped responding completely when I informed him of the situation. I have since discovered they hired Jona back a couple weeks later. When asked, Jeff gave me the excuse that Jona had kids to feed and that he can't fire someone with children to provide for, so he re-hired him back. They've allowed Jona Chavez to keep working for them even after he performed illegal and unlicensed work causing major damage to someone's home while representing their company. I've never been so appalled at a company's response to a major incident like this. I wouldn't touch Mr Rooter with a six foot pole.

I have never been prompted to write an outright negative review, but my experience with this company mirror's Mark's last month.

My sink drain was slow and my landlord's 'handyman' actually managed to make it worse.  I called Mr Rooter for a quote to cable (rotoroot) the pipe - they couldn't give one over the phone - a technician had to come out.

The tech says I have to have the pipe cabled and then power washed - almost $500.  I declined the powerwash and asked for them to simply cable the pipe ($187).   After two hours the tech gave up, saying he couldn't clear the blockage, which was only a few feet down the pipe, where it T's with the vent pipe.  He recommended cutting open the outside wall of the 100 year old home to access the pipe inside the wall.  Estimate $687, plus the cost of another contractor putting the wall back afterwards.

They still demanded the full fee of $155 (I found a $20 voucher on their website) even though they didn't clear the drain.

Called another independant plumber - he quoted $125 and no charge if he can't clear the blockage.

Just 22 minutes after he arrived, the blockage was cleared, the p-trap was re-installed and water was running down the drain!  Hoorah for Armoured Plumbing and Drain Service of Roseville.

The blockage was 50 feet down the pipe.  The Mr Rooter tech never even got close to the blockage - he was stuck at the T with the vent pipe!

In addition - Mr. Rooter Sacramento collect your credit card security number (CVV2) and write it on the invoice - anyone who sees or gets a copy of one of these invoices can charge to your credit card as if they have your card in their hand.  No merchant is permitted to make and retain a written record of you CVV2 number (the 3 digits on the signature strip).  Never let anyone record your CVV2 number!

If I could give less than one star - this would be the one.

They were going to charge us $175 for a freakin auger. Don't waste your money. Home Depot lets you rent an auger starting @ $10 for 4 hours and $14 for the whole day. Long story short, the receptionist forgot our appointment and so did the plumbers.

Plumbing experts or salesmen?  I had to call a plumber for a clogged drain line and Mr. Rooter came to the rescue.  I appreciated the quick response.  What I did not appreciate is the incredible amount of upselling that this company trains its professional plumbers to do.  My visiting Mr. Rooter plumber effectively cleared two lines (which I really only one needed to cleared) at a whopping $231.00 per line.  I had to pay $450 or so to get my house back and draining.  My point is that the whole while that the plumber is doing the video scoping and diagnosing he is telling me about this root and that root and the need to replace this pipe or do a power wash.   The first scare tactic, this has to be part of the company approved training program, is to terrify the homeowner with the prospect of full sewer line replacement at $6k plus ... OR ... as maintenance  I could simply do a power wash  which would clear out my sewer lines... and... since I am already spending $450 they could give me a discount on the $1,100 power wash cost and do the job for an additional $850.  Where have all the ethical home maintenance trades gone?  All I need was a line cleared and now I am looking at $450 and maybe as much a $1,200!  Oh, I asked if I could see the complimentary video of my sewer line.. I could not even peek at his video screen and was told there is a video fee of $200 to $300 to see it.  Common!  Mr. Rooter!!!   What line of business are you truly in?  Plumbing or extortion ?  Where can one find an honest plumber in Sacramento?  If you are reading this and can recommend a good honest plumber please do so!  I had two lines cleared and only one, the one in the house was guaranteed.  I am keeping my receipt and will be sure to call Mr. Rooter to honor that job but that will be the extent of my interaction with this company.  Buyer beware.

Jordan came out to my house at 10:30pm Saturday night (St. Patrick's Day) and was able to unclog my sewer line. He was VERY professional and kind, made sure to clean up and even took his shoes off. He gave me a quote right away, explained the issues, why they happened and even offered to inspect my pipes at midnight after he was done. Hopefully this doesn't happen again but if they do I'm calling Mr Rooter and asking for Jordan.

Mr Rooter was hired by our neighbor in Curtis Park to install new trenchless sewer line due to root intrusion. Unfortunately pipe runs through our property. Based on good faith I allowed company to complete work based on promise to restore landscape and paving. After completing pipe and clean out and they refused to put paving or landscape back. Just walked away from job and left work unfinished. Company has absolutely no integrity

I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Sacramento during the Labor Day weekend on a Sunday, with extremely hot temperatures.  They were open and the lady of the phone had a crew at my building within an hour. The sewer line was backed up on all four of the units.  Bo arrived and told me about the back up and gave me a fair price.  He unclogged and checked the complete sewer line.  Thanks for being prompt, honest, and professional.  I will definitely call them for my next job.  Bobby

I had a very positive experience with the staff at Mr. Rooter with the exception of the initial technician.  I had what turned out to be a pretty complex situation where my cleanout hardware was installed under my driveway giving me no access to it.  A technician came out because both sides of my duplex were backed up and had typical plumbing related pleasantries overflowing the bathrooms.  Because of a design mistake with our outer plumbing (cleanout) the technician needed to remove the commode to snake the line.  Similar to earlier stories I read, the person didn't really want to get his hands dirty and was some rude and short, didn't want to explain things in depth and was looking for a way out of doing the job.  The price kept increasing and he repeatedly suggested that we call another company.  He left and we paid for the visit.  He suggested we have someone else from Mr. Rooter come out to use a camera to determine the cause of the issue.  Luckily John came out and he was the total opposite. Unlike the first technician he took his time to thoroughly explain the issue and the potential root causes.  With him on the job was Jordan who was equally pleasant, personal and outgoing.  His personality TOTALLY made up for the fact that he didn't shave that day. (jokes)  I have never had a more pleasant experience with any repair team. Tammy who took my call was also very pleasant to deal with.  With the exception of the first technician I find that Mr. Rooter's team is responsive, very fair with pricing and their membership is an awesome idea.  Though I hope to not have any other plumbing issues I'm really glad that I have Mr. Rooter in my back pocket.

I feel a responsibilty to post this review for my fellow Yelp readers. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I had a blocked sewer line (real bad) I called Mr. Rooter,  who sent out a plumber he could not find my line coming from the city to my house. I was told  there will be no charge for them to come out and assess the situation and give me a quote. He couldnt find my line access and said it's probly inaccessable and it will cost 1200+ to have one put in...then had the nerve to charge me a $187.00 diagnostic fee. Called the next day and they apologized saying we shouldn't have been charged and they will send out a real Plumber with 10 years experience. So they did, he gave the same song, couldn't find it and it will be 1200+ to put an access in....I said I will need a second opinion for that amount of money (first when they thought they found the line, to clear it was almost $300). Then he wanted to know what I could afford like these people just throw numbers in the air to get you to bite, (I'm guessing commision?) I said  I need a second opinion, there has to be an access for it to pass code, they looked at me like I was crazy.
Finally got him to leave after him trying to get us to pay this astronomical price. I then came to my senses and looked on Yelp. I found Joe at Stilwell plumbing in Elk Grove and he came right out and it took him literally 30 seconds to find the line (I'm not exaggerating). Cost me $100 and it's fixed. Now I don't know about you but that is a whole big deal of difference for my wallet. Be careful friends

My sewer line had backed up on Christmas Eve.  I had called my sewer insurance but the service center was closed.  I had to call an emergency plumber in the interim.  This company was Mr. Rooter.  Before assessing my line, this young man took note of my fruitless mulberry tree in the front yard and immediately told me I needed a new sewer line and that it would be $5800.  Thirty minutes later, he allegedly scoped my line with a camera and said that tree roots had destroyed my piping so much that he was unable to snake the line for fear of ruining his $3000 cable. He said there was no way to repair it.  I paid $179 for him to remove my overflow cap and tell me a bunch of lies.

Mr. Rooter was prompt, for which I will give them 1 star.  However, this technician recognized two female homeowners as an opportunity to take advantage by using fear tactics to create a sale.  This is one sleazy company that I will never use again.

The following morning, my insurance company dispatched America's Plumbing Company which further validated Mr. Rooter's lies.  Marcus came out on Christmas Day and was very friendly and helpful.  He snaked my line and then ran the camera.  He called me out to view every inch of the pipe and there was absolutely no roots or breakage, in fact, he said it was the nicest looking sewer line he's seen in a while.  The actual problem, it was discovered, is at the junction of the county line.  He advised that I call the county and have them review the line for it's repair.  Then he came into the house (after putting on shoe covers) and proceeded to check all the sinks, toilets, and showers to make sure all drains and pipes were functioning.  He was very thorough, courteous and professional.  It was nice to have honest service.

I would highly recommended America's Plumbing Company for any plumbing needs.

When using Mr. Rooter, buyer beware!

I contacted Mr. Rooter Plumbing, in Sacramento, and they provided service within the hour of my call for a clogged kitchen sink. Kyle K. arrived and could not have been more pleasant and professional. He attempted many options to clear the line before using a camera to identify the problem. They cleared the lines with high-pressure cleaning, and I was satisfied with the results.
I am grateful for the same-day service and professionalism Kyle demonstrated.
I feel very confident in recommending this company to others.. Ask for Kyle!

I have a gas water heater and Mr. router came out to give an estimate for free. I really appreciated his expertise. I also appreciated that there was no charge for the estimate which took over an hour. I Would highly recommend this company

My experience was less than satisfactory.  Pricey,  called them back because they forgot to put caps on the new drain line.  Came and put one on the front, didn't bother to check if the other one was on, wasn't, and repeated phone calls have gotten me nowhere.   Finally went out, bought the cap and will have my son put it on.  Installation quickest and most expedient.  Should have gone under the mow strip so the water could empty in the bushes.  Instead, puddles in the corner of the yard.

When I call Mr Rooter's number it is a joy not to have to go through a menu of pushing a variety of numbers.  There may be one recording asking the caller to wait, then Tammy comes on.  She is very polite and does all she can to get someone out quickly. We've had technicians come to our house for several different issues.  They are very polite, explain the problem and the repair well and do a great job repairing.

I have also had them repair some leaky pipes outside the church I attend.  One pipe other plumbers had estimated an extensive and expensive repair.  The tech who came out estimated a much less extensive and expensive repair.  Work was completed and no more leaks.

Called Mr. Rooter randomly for a clogged kitchen sink involving 2 separate sinks. Adam Jones came out and I found him to be very pleasant, patient, and hard working. He took a great deal of time snaking our piping and was unable to clear the clog, did not charge me for that service as it did not fix the problem. He then power washed the piping and was successful in clearing the line. He did a good job, despite the process taking longer than he estimated and the late hour he was kept working. My only complaint was the price, I felt it was pricey. He did state the cost up front and that I would not be charged if he was unable to clear the line which I appriciated.

Terrible and unprofessional people. Period. Rude, dangerous, and incompetent.  Would recommend you search elsewhere for any plumbing needs and avoid this company like the plague.

Wow, I have no words for Jason's outstanding customer service!! He went above and beyond for us!!!! It was a nightmare for us but he made things smoother. Very experienced and knowledgable. Price is very reasonable even though we called at 11pm.

Our kitchen sink had super low water pressure. The guys came out earlier than appointment time which was perfect for us and spent all of 2 seconds and the sink was fixed. It was a small clog and they didn't charge us a dime! Sent the guys on their way with a couple of gatorades as thank you! This is my 2nd time using them and they've been wonderful both times! Highly recommend!

Had a clogged drain. Said it would take 60-90 minutes. Quoted $220. He was done 15 minutes but would not adjust the price.  I will not be calling them again.

Drain backed up outside resulted in soapy laundry water throughout several rooms downstairs.   Sunday morning, why not?

Mr. Rooter arrived 30min after we called.  All aspects of the work to be done, and the details of the estimate, were clearly explained.

We watched the screen when the camera was inserted down the drain.  We saw exactly what the technicians said the problem was.  They cleared the obstruction, and gave us tips about how to avoid these backups in the future.

Why did we call Mr. Rooter and not another company?  We had a similar issue many years ago and their service was memorably good.  And they did not disappoint this weekend either.

I'm sorry to see some of the less satisfactory remarks.  They are absolutely opposite our two experiences.

Another excellent experience with Mr Rooter. Adam Jones came over to work on the drain from our kitchen and laundry to the main line. They spent the better part of the day crawling under the house to make it happen.

Very professional, job site cleaned up, and everything flowing. Thanks again, Adam!

Do not use these guys!  Estimate is overinflated! Wanted to fix my toilet and charge me $300 to put in a $15 part I can buy at Lowes. Went to Lowes and bought the part.  I read the instructions and it took me 15 minutes to install it.

Was great after they went and install the third pump under warranty.  The second time, but as off couple days ago it stop working with I didn't know until because I thought maybe the septic tank was full but when I called them they came out and said looks like ur sump is not working or pumping the water out to the distribution box.  The guy was kind enough to even check it even though that was not there job and when he open it we both notice the pump wasn't working and water was filled up in the sump box.  I ask him how come it stop working he said he doesn't know. He unplug the float n plug in just the pump to see if it was the float that was stuck but it still didn't work. He then said maybe no power so he went and grab his skil saw plug in and there was power. He then said he don't know why it doesn't work. He then went and proceed with the septic tank pumping and drained both tank.  As he did the water from the sump box went down and then u can see the pipe that is connected to it and he unbolt it to take it out and see why it's not working.  (Have all this on video).  Because I was afraid they will tell me that it's not the pump.  Occurs after he took it out he spun the bottom of the sump n the wheel was free spin nothing clogged.  He used a screw driver n tap the housing a few times n then he plug it back in and it worked. And to remind u he did this with out even charging me. He said well looks like the pump is working now so he put it back into the box n bolt it up.

But to the point I'm making is now because the pump had fail it cause backup into the house in the laundry room because we was doing laundry. In between this or during this time I had already contact mr rooter. He said he would be on his way to check it out, but during this time the pump was now working, but for how long and what if it goes out again.  So am I paying once a year to keep replacing these bad pumps?  Or instead of finding a solution or a way to fix having to deal with this they told me it's just a one time warranty work, why would it be one time where does it state in writing and none of this was disclosure to me after the fact when they came back out to install the third pump under warranty.  Is when I was told one time warranty only. Why would I not get the same warranty work on this again I only paid them almost 3k to have this done for a second time in about 1-2 years cause the first time supposedly it was out of warranty but the pump wasn't it had a 3 year manufacture warranty on the pump. I was then charge for another full amount for the second pump.  Wasn't happy but okay gave them the benefit of doubt. Until now it stop working.  Now my house has back up and one line is clogged they said it's not there responsibility. Due to it was the pump. Wtf u mean? I sent the video and it clearly shows the pump not pump or working.  I stated my case or issue the line has to be snaked because it cause a backup n the lines are clogged maybe not the main line but the laundry line cause the pipe is smaller so it is clogged. They wanted to charge me 270 to snake it I told them it's not even bout the money.  I want it snake because it's ur pump that failed and cause a back up. How and why should I have to pay, it's a failure in ur system or work.  If it wasn't that and the line is clogged because something else then yeah I don't mind paying.  At this point I was very unhappy, because they wanted to charge me 270 and then said will give me a 20 dollars discount.  Wow! It's not even the point I didn't say I couldn't afford it I'm not a person you guys can take advantage of.  Your pump failed and it cause the back up. Now since the other septic tank guy came and didn't even charge me a dime to even take a look shot it to work, again for who knows how long.  How u gonna tell me it's working what's the issue now it's not the pump. So where not gonna snake the line. Wtf! It clearly shows in the video I sent them.

If you do use them please make sure you read everything couple of the workers the far one time around was unprofessional walked into the house with his dirty ass muddy shoes and cause the backup to flood the floor in my hail way. I had to rent a rug dr to sanitize the hallway.

As far as being on time they was fast n on time ready to take your money only.  Just make sure you get a couple of bids before you do any business with this company.  Only one good employee he work with me but I know it's not his fault but still they know the issue was the pump.

Please think twice before you do business with this company.

Long story short

If I can give this company a zero I would but had to give them 1, beside my other good review I gave them the second time when they put it in.

Think twice get a couple of bids.

Everything was done right from the start. Staff was friendly and focused on getting the job, and getting the job done right. I was amazed by the service and would use Mr. Rooter again and again. Cheers to you on a job well done.

Having to re-do your sewer pipes is not fun, nor cheap. Mr. Rooter make the process as painless as possible. They were responsive to my needs and clearly explained costs and

I used Mr. Rooter many times in my former residence (a home built in the 1960's).  Because the home was in an established neighborhood (older homes, tall trees), with an older home can come issues.

Mr. Rooter came out for small fixes (garbage disposal not working, bathtub running slow) and for the bigger ones (water heater replacement).  The water heater cost more than I had planned one but this was not due to being ripped off by Mr. Rooter, again, it was the fact that it was a house that was nearly 50 years old.  The service technicians were always polite, always arrived within the specified time frame and always provided a quote before starting on any work.

However, Mr. Rooter explained up front why the costs were higher.  First I had to do some retro fitting for the new water heater (in newer homes, the water heater is in the garage, in my old home, it was in the hall closet).  I needed an overflow pipe installed that would run under the house to the drain unless I wanted wet carpet when/if the water heater fails. Having gone through that experience as a kid, the night the water heater failed and flooded the house, I had no issue with the fixes.  Plus, when the time came to sell the house, it would have to be done anyway.

The biggest problem was the main line.  During the water heater replacement, they discovered that the main line was clogged by tree roots that had actually grown through the line.  I was shown via snake camera the issue, but again, had no reason to doubt them.  I had been having drainage issues for quite some time and my handyman couldn't figure it out (but it never occured to him that the main line was involved).  So that was replaced to the tune of $5000.  After that, even the slow bathtub drained quickly.

I again called upon Mr. Rooter after my grandmother passed away and we had to sell her home.  We had plumbing issues constantly while we were packing up her home (backed up sink, toilet, etc, but the house was 80+ years old).  The home inspector discovered that the main line had collasped between the house and the street.  We could not sell the house in that condition (not to mention all the other stuff grandma had let go) and so Mr. Rooter came in and replaced the main line and fixed the plumbing.

Although my appointment started later than was scheduled, Marcus was on top of things the moment he arrived. As soon as I told him my issue (backed up bathtub), Marcus knew what the problem was. He stated that he was very familiar with the homes in my neighborhood. Marcus was quick and efficient,  cordial and professional,  and explained everything to me. Thanks so much!

I called in desperation on a Sunday and Joe was to my house in 30 min.  My sewer line was plugged, nothing was working in the house. He was very polite, jumped in and took care of the problem very fast, plus cleaned up some areas to make it easier for me..I really appreciated their quick response and the efficient speedy work that was done..
I had called many other plumbers and was told they would call me back, never heard back from them! They should have been honest that they did not work on Sundays.
Mr.Rooter will get all my work and everyone I have passed on their name to.
The charge was very reasonable and no xtra for bing Sunday...
Thank You Mr. Rooter

We bought a fixer-upper home that, unfortunately, came with a lot of issues. I've tried various handyman services and other plumbing companies but now I will never go with anyone but Mr. Rooter ever again. They are very honest and trustworthy. About a month ago, I had a leak from my bathtub that flooded the house while I was gone for the day. Another company came out and quoted me $20k to fix it. Mr. Rooter came the next day and fixed it for $400. Then today, my kitchen sink wasn't draining and they quoted me $250. I have never had any other company quote me a price, then come out and look at it and say actually, this is a smaller problem than I thought and charge me less than the quote. I can not recommend Jona highly enough. He truly cares about helping people and not about charging the maximum amount. I decided to buy the membership plan because I have an older home with a lot of projects left to do and I know I'll be calling Mr. Rooter for the next couple of years.

AVOID! They are not as professional. They tried to overcharge me, and they do not provide free estimates.

I was charged over $300 for them to simply snake and camera the pipe in my driveway sewer cleanout.

The company I went with is Affordable Trenchless & Pipe Lining out of Carmichael.
They were professional, affordable, and snaked and camera for FREE. Now that is a free estimate.

AVOID MR. ROOTER!

GET MULTIPLE QUOTES FROM MULTIPLE COMPANIES!

I was very please with my service. The technician, John, arrived when he said he would, was very professional and knowledgeable about my system with very little information from me, and he was able to remedy the problem fast. I will be calling Mr. Rooter again if I ever have any problems.
