Excellent work and Amazing service!!   Had a new HVAC system put in last week and couldn't be happier.   Our old system was working fine, but we wanted to be proactive and get it replaced before it breaks.   Did lots of research and can truly say that we picked the right company to do the job .    

Quote/ Contract - Steve was always available to answer any of our questions.

Installation - Nate and Ed were very professional, meticulous, courteous, knowledgeable and informative.   Gave us the rundown on what to expect each day, kept everything clean and delivered a flawless system as promised.

Inspection 1 - we needed this done asap so Shannon coordinated with the sub contractor and got us scheduled right away.

We've done lots of house projects and this was one of the smoothest process ever.

Steve from Mac's Plumbing was prompt, friendly, knowledgable, professional and fairly priced.  Ordered the right parts right away for our upstairs washing machine overflow tray, and when the pipe angle need to be corrected, had the right parts in his truck.  He was also happy to answer questions about our faulty kitchen sink plumbing without being condescending about our failed do-it-yourself attempt.  I ordered a new kitchen faucet from him and he will be back next week to install.  I will re-post an update after the install.  So far... very happy with the service!

Thanks to Mac's team!  New AC installed professionally and expertly today.  Looking forward to a night's sleep without the ceiling fan and generously lent portable!  Most responsive company I have worked with and Steve aka Mac and team provide excellent pricing, service and honest recommendations.  Though truthfully they had me when they offered to bring the portables the day I called and said my system wasn't working.  No other company I talked to even thought to offer a temporary solution until I could get the new system.

Decided to give Mac's a call due to a broken faucet. I am really glad I chose them... the staff was exceedingly pleasant, and Tommy, the technician dispatched to my house did a thorough inspection and charged me a fair rate to install my faucet. The service charge was included in the total... which was very reasonable. I will definitely patronize Mac's if I have any future plumbing issues.

I called at 3:33 Sunday afternoon. Answering Service said they'd call back within two hours. I waited for four hours. Called back, left message... now it's been 24 hours. Still no call. Obviously, I've found someone else. Just thought I'd post this Incase the owner has an issue with the answering service they use. Either way, didn't help me with a house full of clogged drains.

Today I had Mac's Plumbing Heating and air. This was my third company out.  I called on Sunday and a lady called me right back. My AC was not working and I asked if I could get an appointment Monday morning. She told me it should not be a problem. Monday morning before 8:30am they had a tech out. AJ was great! He took a look at everything showed me what was going on. I actually had wires that were burnt and another part that was fried.  He went over everything got me up and running and I finally had cold air.

I had a rather complicated garage project that involved fixing a leak on the roof, repairing the damaged drywall in the garage ceiling and putting in a pull down ladder. With Steve's vast knowledge in construction he was able to put together an excellent plan for the pull down ladder, while Kiko (roofing), Ed (drywall repair) and Omar (ladder installation) did a wonderful job in bringing it all to fruition! It was a pleasure dealing with professionals who did the work on time and exactly as promised!

Our gas water heater started leaking and we wanted to upgrade to a more energy-efficient heat pump. Every single thing was top notch about Mac's. The after hours line was kind and passed on my message. The very next day Tony called me and thoughtfully worked with me to find the soonest appointment for an estimate. Then the owner of the company Steve came out and was so efficient. He immediately said what we had wanted to do was a no brainer and set us up. We had 2 other companies out, but needed to keep looking. One had a bunch of salespeople that wasted so much time using scare tactics, etc. The other was doubtful we could move the water to the garage at all and was way more expensive. We researched, and all of Mac's reviews were true. They were trustworthy from the get-go, and so kind and professional. Shannon called us to try to schedule us in sooner due to the emergency and it was so nice she kept us in mind. Then our team was Ed and Nate. What a great pair. Ed is an utmost professional and is so personable with how he guided us and made sure exactly what we wanted to have done and then educated us afterwards on how to use our system. Ed even taught me about our trees and used a ladder to get ripe fruit down for us. Nate dealt with gross stuff without complaint (dead squirrel in attic) and educated us on our pipes and gave us great feedback on what has likely happened with our a/c system (unrelated to this job) and what we want to look out for. They both also were very willing to answer an unrelated question I had about our shower and gave me great and thoughtful advice about this. On top of it, Ed and Nate were as kind, cool, and professional as could be. They were even understanding when THEY were on time to start the day but WE weren't. No other company came precisely when they said they'd come like Mac's. From start to finish, Mac's was a joy to work with. Thank you all!

Like others saw SMUD rebate and ran through authorized contractors to move from gas water heater (16 year old) to hybrid electric (heat pump). Saw some usual names (Bonney Plumbing, etc) and came across Mac's Plumbing. Saw they were local and reached out to get a quote. Steve arrived on-time and comes across as a very down to earth straight shooter which I very much appreciate. He got a quote put together and we got the ball rolling on the install of Bradford White unit. Blew me away they could get it installed the beginning of the following week.

Nate & Ed arrived for install and were very friendly & cordial. Did a great job pulling out the old and putting in the new (new electrical, new piping for condensate, etc). Did a great job with cleanup (patching up dry wall, cleaning area, etc).

Would highly recommend.

Having a unique pool problem, I called Mac's Plumbing to see if they could help us with installing PVC piping for our new salt generator. They arrived promptly and were professionally dressed. Steve and Jason were very friendly, and courteous; they put shoe covers on to make sure they do not mess up our floors and then immediately reviewed the issue that we were having.  After great discussion regarding our problem, they offered valuable advice and shared how we could simply fix it ourselves by using a $25 dollar part. They were extremely patient, as we asked many questions and took the time to make sure we understood how to solve our pool problem. We will definitely call them again and will recommend Mac's Plumbing to all our family and friends.

We got a quote from Steve, the owner, in person for a new water heater. We wanted to take advantage of the SMUD rebate currently being offered. Steve was very knowledgable and personable. We appreciated him explaining everything to us, including the different types of water heater we can get with the rebate and what steps would be taken if we decided to go with them.

AJ and Isaac were the ones who helped us install the new water heater. They were both great and worked efficiently together. AJ explained everything in detail to me after the installation and was thorough with making sure I had no more questions before they left. Great customer service! We were having problems with our tankless water heater.   We called Mac's because they had people who were well trained professionals at working on tankless water heaters.
Steven MacDonald came out to help us.  He was professional and explained every step of the process to us and different ways we could keep our tankless water heater in tip top shape. I appreciated his honesty and integrity.

Steven MacDonald helped us select a new heating and air conditioning system for our home. Based on our needs and available rebates that system was a heat pump. A. J. was the primary installer with some help from another gentleman. Everything went flawlessly. I would allow them into my home again without a moments hesitation!

Literally takes me 10 seconds to open my crawl space and Nick charged me an access fee of 50 dollars cause he complained about it being hard to open the crawl space. Pretty sad that a professional can't handle something a new homeowner like myself can in 10 seconds.

Had Mac's Plumbing come out and install a Quiet Cool house fan, new Air Conditioning and Heating unit along with all the duct work after our existing unit failed!  Steve is awesome to work with. Probable one of the most honest and trustworthy people I have ever meet.  His team had the new unit ordered and installed in less than a week!  If you have any heating, air or plumbing issues call Mac's!

I recently had a water heater replaced.  Interestingly the quote I got from another company was $3000 for a 50-gallon gas water heater including installation.  I thought this was a little high and elected to get another quote from a local (Elk Grove) company.  Steve the owner came out and provided a much more reasonable quote for the same (Bradford White) 50-gallon water heater of $2397.  By the way, Steve was very friendly and also provided helpful information regarding an issue I was having with my dishwasher. I also enjoyed talking to the installer AJ, he was also very friendly and provided answers to any questions I had.  After the (Clean) install, AJ also took a look at our dishwasher and proceeded to do what he could to fix my problem with the dishwasher.  By the way, this was free of charge!  I would definitely recommend Mac's plumbing for future needs and will refer them to friends and family.  We actually recommended AJ to my wife's mother for her water heater replacement.  Especially since AJ speaks spanish! Thanks Mac's for a job well done!

If I can give them 10 stars, I called them about a leak we had and Evon assured me that we're in good hands from the get go. The technician Jacob was here within two hours, he was extremely polite, professional, and provided an amazing customer service. I definitely recommend this place and now they have earned a customer for life. Keep up the awesome job

We had issues with our shower faucet so contacted these guys since they were close and we needed quick repair. Wayne and his team were great, very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He got us all fixed up with an easy/quick part swap, which luckily he had in his truck. Shower works good as new and feels like a little more water flow too.

Our heating and AC unit was 28 years old and on its last legs. We decided to replace it with an all electric heat pump. We opted for a Trane 17 SEER system, based on Consumer Reports. We got three bids and Mac's plumbing was lower by several thousand dollars. They arrived this morning at 8am and were finished removing our old system and replacing it with the new one by 6pm. Nate and Ed did the installation, two very good workers and nice men. They took all of our old equipment away and cleaned up everything very well. Nate is coming back in a day or two to make sure everything is ok. We still have to get the city to inspect the installation, but we are very happy folks right now. AND the new system is very quiet.

Our 16yr old water heater is in need of a replacement.  Was not happy with a quote from another contractor so contacted Mac base on seeing the reviews here.  Steve came out and was very friendly and gave reasonable quote.  JC & ED came out the next day for the installation.  These two are the nicest friendly people I have ever met for the first time.  It was like we are old pals.  Installation was smooth and got a lot of friendly advice from ED & JC.  I will definitely calling Mac again for all my plumbing & AC needs.  Thanks for making a stressful decision made easy.

Tommy Day was the technician who disconnected the water softener, he arrived right on time was very professional, had a little trouble getting a leak sealed but he did and everything worked out perfect. I highly recommend Tommy & Macs Plumbing

We called out Mac's Plumbing after another plumber delayed his arrival time twice and then failed to show up at all.  Mac's Plumbing was able to get us setup for service the following morning and showed up right on time.

They were uniformed, courteous, friendly, personable, and highly professional.  They put shoe covers on to make sure they do not mess up our floors and then immediately reviewed the issue that I was having.  We were then given an easy to read and understand estimate sheet with affordable and up front pricing.  After we agreed to the estimate they quickly began their work.  While resolving the one issue we were having they discovered a second issue in the same drain line that was most likely the cause of the first one.  They were able to quickly and easily solve that issue as well and there was no additional charge.  After they were done they completely cleaned up after themselves like they were never there.

This was the first time that I have required the services of a professional plumber in our home of 11 years and I have made sure to put their phone number in my contacts list as Mac's Plumbing is the type of company that I want to do business with.  I will highly recommend them to neighbors, friends, family, or anyone if they are in need of a plumber.  Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I would use Mac's plumbing again - especially after a potential billing issue was diffused and resolved quickly by the pleasant customer service representative.

Overall, the quality of the work done was above par. Mac's estimate was a bit more than another local service, but Steve seemed more straightforward and knowledgable than the competitor, so I paid a little more than I could have for peace of mind.

Before Mac's Plumbing came out to fix the plumbing issue, a friend and I dug down 3 to 4 feet to find the issue. We located the problem and it would have been simple enough to reattach a pipe. However, I felt more comfortable paying a professional who would warranty the work.

I was quoted a price of $325, to which I agreed; I shook hands (no paperwork, but the measure of a man is his ability to keep his word) with Steve and he came out the next day to fix the issue.

The snafu, which was handled courteously by Mac's customer service, was that there was an additional service charge added on top of the estimated price on the invoice. That did not make sense to me because the estimate should naturally include any service charge and Steve had not mentioned it the day before when he quoted me the price for the job. Before I overreacted and became upset, I called the office. The customer service representative said it was a mistake and that the estimate should have included the service charge. Since I paid with a credit card, she assured me she would deduct the service charge from the total and charge me the agreed upon price of $325.

The quick response from customer service added a star to my rating, because that sort of business practice shows that Mac's would rather establish a customer for life rather than nickel and dime for extra hidden fees that are not mentioned until after all the work is done.

Next time I have an plumbing issue, I will use Mac's.

I heard about the SMUD  program concerning rebates for electric water heaters.Mac's plumbing was one of the company's that smud recommended.l made an appointment  with the  most friendly and helpful  coordinator kristyn,she set up
an appointment with Steve , the owner. Steve came out and explained  the advantages of going electric. (Especially with all the rebates). Fast forward,the technician A.J.did  an excellent job. Clean and neat as a whistle.what better way can I endorse a company  like Mac;s plumbing? I am 76 years old and I have never had a more satisfying experience  with any other contractor.My only regret is not recommending them sooner!

Replaced two toilets,installed one set of sink taps.   eric did a clean and proffesional job.Having been a pipefitter at one time,the whole reputation thing is usually from people that will pay $100.00 for a haircut,but balk at paying a proffesional licensed plumber for a fair price.

I needed a plumber to repair my sad attempt at installing a garbage disposal. After calling others who were backlogged for two weeks, I called Mac's. The receptionist was kind and expressed an understanding of my embarrassing predicament. She scheduled a repair for 8:00 a.m. the following morning.

Isaac arrived, was clean and efficient, and fixed my dripping garbage disposal without breaking a sweat. He was professional and knowledgeable.

When a plumbing, air conditioning, or heating challenge raises its ugly head, I will call Mac's first for an affordable and quality repair!

Just had Edward at Mac's Plumbing come to my home to install a new heat pump water heater that was part of a SMUD rebate program.
The great experience started with Kristyn who answered my initial questions and did the scheduling. The field technician, Edward was a true professional who knew his craft. Showed up on time and was very efficient in what had to accomplish. His experience and knowledge showed up in spades! Thank you!

The service was outstanding. Tommy came out first day by giving us support with our expired gas water heater. Mac plumbing provide us a loaner to make sure my house provided hot water temporarily. ED and AJ installed my new hybrid water heater and recirculating pump which needed electrical and plumbing services added for the new unit. Inspections and permits were all provided to make sure all is legal and safe. Steve was extremely helpful by making sure the order and the project was done with great service. I would recommend Mac's plumbing to everyone in Sacramento especially Elk Grove area.

I incidentally found out my water heater, which was originally installed in the 90s, was completely rusted on the inside. I did some research and found that MAC's was a local carrier of Bradford White water heaters, which are American made and high quality. I called for an estimate/eval appointment and Steve came out the next week. He is personable and friendly and gave me an easy to understand estimate and his honest recommendations. As a single female homeowner, I felt very comfortable and never felt as if he was trying to upsell me (which other contractors and businesses have done in the past).

He gave me several options and even told me about the SMUD rebates ide be eligible for. I opted to convert from gas to an electric hybrid for it's efficiency, cost, the fact that it will cool the garage a bit, no pilot light and the smud incentive rebate.

On the installation date Ed and another technician (who's name I cannot remember, I'm so sorry) arrived promptly at 8am as scheduled. They were equally friendly and personable. We talked about some of our outdoor house projects and they got right to work.

We had painted the garage and asked that they let us know when the old water heater was removed so we could paint behind it and without asking they did it for us! I even, without thinking turned the water on while they were working and got water everywhere, they just politely reminded me not to use the water and helped me clean up a bit.

When they went up to the attic to do electrical, right away they noticed the HVAC system had some issues. I know nothing about HVAC, but remember him showing me the photos and basically the coils are rusted, there's coolant leaking, it's falling apart and we are breathing in particles of fiber glass. The week prior I was just thinking the HVAC was probably 20-30 years old and needed replacing. I called the office to make an appointment for an HVAC Assessment and got one for the next week, but our technician called Steve and sent him the photos. On the phone the three of us were able to decide on a new system and establish an install date ASAP due to the condition and their very packed schedule coming up this summer. Of course they told me all about the smud incentive rebates so they were able to save me quite a bit of money changing from gas to electric hybrid. Smud offers a $3900 rebate.

I'm so thankful they noticed because with summer coming up, my HVAC could have failed at a very unfortunate time. Overall, I am so happy with the fast, quality, professional work they've done. And it's a bonus that they're local. I am a lifelong customer and cannot recommend them enough!

Mac's is the best! I needed a new heater/AC unit. The price was great! The installers, Nathan and Ed, we very courteous, hard working (even in the pouring rain) and friendly. I rarely post reviews but for Mac's Plumbing I needed to make an exception. We initially received quotes from four highly rated companies, but it was Steve from Mac's Plumbing who was the most knowledgeable and provided the most competitive bid. The team assigned to the installation and design of our new HVAC system, Garrett and Eli, who we nicknamed the A-Team, were outstanding. They arrived on time and completely cleaned up at the end of each day. Most importantly, the superior quality of their work and their redesign of our duct work has completely changed our living environment. We've lived in our house since the early 90's and there are rooms, including our living room and a bedroom, that we stayed out of during the summer. It's 108 degrees outside right now, and every area of our home is the same pleasant temperature. It's unbelievable! 30 years we've lived here, and this is the first summer I've been able to sit down and read a book in the living room! Bottom line... Superior Workmanship, Superior Service, Superior Company.

Mac's Plumbing was a life saver! I lost hot water when I was expecting 15 guests for a Christmas gathering. Steve, the owner came out to inspect my hot water heater, for free. Steve gave me three different options and the next morning he had two technicians out to replace my water heater!

Garrett and Eli were wonderful! They had to do so much work and re-wiring! I was amazed at all they did. I was told it would take all day, probably 3:00 pm, and they were done by about 1:00!! YAY! Hot water in time for my first quests at 5:00 that afternoon!

Huge Props! We have been having small issues with our AC unit since we bought our house two years ago. After having repairs by a company that our home warranty sent, we decided to have Mac's come out and do a complete inspection of the unit and the ducts. Thank God we did, the service tech found what the home warranty company, the home inspector and the original installer failed to see. The original installer never changed the natural gas fitting to the propane fitting. Needless to say the unit which is older is now shot, but if he had not found that we probably would have kept repairing the unit here and there which was leaking carbon monoxide and all sorts of bad stuff into the house. I can't give enough gratitude for that!!

Macs plumbing, at first, a very accommodating and reasonably priced plumbing service. I called them out to help answer why we were having pretty consistent backups in our plumbing.  Steve came out, offered to put the camera down the pipe to find the cause. $380.  I figured it would be worth knowing what was causing the issue. I paid.  Camera went down and we saw the camera hit a pipe wall, Steve automatically said... its a crushed pipe. We need to go in and fix is, there was probably a drop in the pipe structure and the pipe crushed the other. He said it was my responsibility because it was the house side of the street, and therefore no EID (city).  So I got a quote $845, and he said he'd be back Mon.  Well, I called EID (the city) and the came out for free. Stuck a camera down the same pipe, said I had a lot of roots seeping into some weak pipes. And that was it.
I asked, what about the crushed pipe... he said... there is no crushed pipe, what the plumber must not realize is there is a T pipe, and what the camera was hitting was the end of the pipe where it drops to the city line.
I said, how do i know you are right, vs. Steve?
He replied, I bet my job on this You do NOT have a crushed pipe!
So then Steve came back on Monday with a NEW estimate, saying that because the hole he was going to have to dig was 5-6 ft. down he'd have to build walls, and therefore it was going to be $4,000. W H A T ???
I asked him to leave.
Called EID back, explained what Steve had said. And he said... Call a different plumber.
So I did.   Cost me $90 to have it fixed, and have had NO issues since.
Wow... Steve was trying to take me for a $4,000. ride!!
Shame on you Steve.
And if you didnt do it on purpose... Shame on you for not knowing what you are doing, seems like an experience issue.

I got Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air replaced my natural gas water heater tank to electric.  Steve MacDonald, the owner, came to my house last to give me free inspection and written quote, under $2,000, including Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) $2,500 electric water heater tank rebate paid directly to contractor.  AJ spent almost the whole day and did an excellent job and give me instructions to run the water tank flawlessly.  Really appreciate the local company and highly recommend the family-owned company.

I give this business 0 stars.  Very unprofessional.  And RUDE! They tried to pull the old bait and switch. They quoted us one price and when they got to the house tried to make us sign for hundreds of dollars.  Brought the wrong equipment the first time and then did not reschedule for 4 days.  The night before the next appointment they called and left a message canceling due to an emergency.  When I called to reschedule they never called me back.  When I called later in the day they set an appointment for later that evening.  When they arrived they tried to make us sign for several hundred dollars again. They left without ever doing any work.

Excellent service. Got a $2,500 rebate from SMUD.  Converted water heater from propane to electric, put in new efficient hybrid. Great job, cleaned up and very helpful. Handled everything.

No return calls, great on installation, not on following up for repairs. Numerous messages left, still in business?

Very Good Customer Service. The Technician was polite, knowlegeable and  suggested the best options. Answered all questions. I padi by check and also suggested their easy payment plan.

After a few glitches and communication challenges, Nate saved the day! He gets 10 stars! He is quick and did a great job finishing the install of my whole house fan and added an extra line to my electric panel.

Front yard water pipe was leaking and causing massive amounts of water to drain and run down gutter.  Mac's Plumbing came to our rescue and fixed the leaking pipes. Very professional, caring , and got the job done without any diddle-daddling!  Definitely recommend them. They will not disappoint!

I recently decided to replace my house water heater.  I received two quotes and after objective analysis I decided on a hybrid water heater from MAC plumbing.   The job was complete today with AJ and Ed providing a fast, clean, courtesy and professional installation.  Kudos to Scott, Ed and AJ.

I've used Mac's Plumbing twice and can't recommend them highly enough.  Steve, the owner, was the one who came to look at my problem.  In both cases, he easily could have told me that I needed parts and expensive repairs that weren't necessary and I never would have known the difference.  He was honest enough to tell me that they were minor and quick repairs that only took a few minutes.  Like many people, I seem to have bad luck with repair people not showing up, doing poor work, or telling me things that just don't seem right.  Mac's Plumbing is reliable, responsive and above all, honest.

Steve from Mac's Plumbing quoted me a fairly reasonable price for a hot water leak underneath the slab floor. He was timely, courteous, and very thoughtful. He answered all my questions and provided  me with full explanation to my satisfaction. Kristyn, customer service rep, did a great job in the scheduling and follow-up process displaying professionalism.  Although Mac's Plumbing was my second choice, it was only due to a slight difference in price. However, I will certainly consider its services in the future and have no hesitation in recommending to friends.

Macs just put in a new furnace for me I can't tell how painless this was great people at Macs from the office to the owner and the tech AJ what a great guy if you have Macs ask for AJ. Macs Plumbing heating and air you is a good choice.

Very focused, professional, polite, people oriented, very organized and very detailed and informative on a daily bases where they were & what to expect the following day. They also had other helpers the last day or so to guarantee the quoted timeframe promised.  I ended up switching from Bell Bros yearly maintenance program because of Nate and Ed to Mac's maintenance program.  I felt confident in them everyday that things would get done and done Right! They completed the project today and I am very pleased with all their work. They were amazing! I would recommend them to anyone based on what they have done for me.  Don't have pics to show yet.

I know it works for some and doesn't for others! I was really impressed with their prompt response and of course: the service! Lionel was prompt, very polite and extremely knowledgeable of his stuff! my two toilets were fixed in no time while he explained what was wrong and showed me so I knew what not to do in the future. Wow! plumbers have such bad rep but I can't tell you enough about how good his service was! I am a new customer and one who will call them again (hopefully not), if need be!

I've left 2 messages about 5 days apart on their answering machine and never have received a call back. Can't recommend.

Immediately upon moving to Sacramento the AC on the house we had just purchased conked out. We got quotes to replace it from several companies and decided to go with Mac's (Nathan and Steve are very knowledgeable and helpful).

The installation was scheduled 2 weeks later and Steve graciously got us a portable AC unit so we wouldn't roast in the meantime during the 10 days of the extreme heat wave in June. They replaced the AC and furnace with a brand new heat pump, installed new thermostat, new ducting, new attic fan, and new insulation. They also replaced our water heater, fixed the water main, and installed a new toilet and shower fixtures.

They also graciously dealt with SMUD for the rebates and with the cryptic whims of the building department regarding the permits and the inspections.

I'm now thoroughly enjoying freezing cold air, lower energy bills (from $180-$220/month I am now paying ~$140/month), and no more allergies (now the ducting is brand spanking new!).

I am completely satisfied with the work done in my home by Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air, from initial consultation and cost proposal with business owner, Steve; install coordinator and communications expert, Shannon; to the installer himself, Alvaro (AJ), who did an absolutely professional job replacing two toilets and one water heater, bringing the latter fully up to city code and passing city inspection with flying colors. Before he left, Steve assured me that Mac's Plumbing would take good care of me. And, they did! I was especially impressed with the diligent work by Alvaro who never failed to greet me with a cheerful smile and to remain positive and cheerful throughout a grueling day of single-handed removal, installation, testing for leaks, and thorough cleanup.  Alvaro left my home in excellent condition, clean, modern, up-to-date, and leak free. I would not hesitate to call again or to highly recommend Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air to others searching for honesty, integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Just had Mac's plumbing come out here this past week to install a Hybrid Heat Pump water heater and it was a great experience!

Some background, I found Mac's through SMUD contractor network as I was planning on using the rebate offered for new water heater installs. I had contacted quite a few contractors and Mac's was the one I ended up going with. To start, my first interactions occurred with Steve, the owner of the company. Steve came out to provide me a quote and give an idea of the what they would need to perform. He was extremely thorough in the process and provided a quote right on the spot. One of the key things that helped me pick Mac's was that Steve provided great detail in what they would need to do. Steve also came back for an additional appointment and was extremely patient and helpful throughout the process.

My next interaction was with the office manager Kristyn. She walked me through the process of completing the documentation and moving the process along. I had some extensive questions and some minor paperwork issues, but she was extremely professional and courteous throughout the process.

On the day of installation, I dealt with Ed and AJ. They provided a time frame of expected job completion and they were right on the money on expected completion time. There was a small error in the work order but Ed out my mind at ease and told me not to worry about as they would get it fixed. This was big deal as he was determined to resolve the issue and didn't just brush off the issue. After installation he explained how the new water heater work and provided a lot of important information. In the end I ended up with my new water heater with minimal amount of work on my part.

Pricing was they came around the mid to low compared to other contractors but the service was definitely top end. I have some future work in mind and they will definitely on my contact list! Thanks to Mac for the awesome work!

Our water heater died and Mac's sent Steven to give us an estimate.  He discussed all options and allowed us to make an informed decision.  He expedited our service, as well.  No more heating water on the stove to wash dishes and take creative showers.  Mac's has a customer for life.

I also got Mac's name through SMUD's rebate contractor list.  How smart is SMUD to contact with such a great company!  I'm so glad I reached out to this company.  Professionalism from the time I made the call to the nice lady all the way to our quote.  

Steve knows all about HVAC, he is from EG and knows how darn hot it gets here.  We are from the Bay Area, where it gets cooler at night.  Steve explained the heat pump and SMUD rebate to us and how much more efficient our new system would be.  They have 24-month interest and payment free or $1,000 cash back a $500 coupon towards our new HVAC system and another $271 coupon.  Not to mention the $3,000 rebate from SMUD. So its a win-win for us.  If I didn't read all of the rebates SMUD has included in their bills, I wouldn't of known about it -- so thank you SMUD!  We did get pricing from another contractor, but they didn't offer the SMUD rebate and their price was higher.

I will write back after the work is done.  Steve made the call while he was here to set up the install, he said he was out about 3 weeks, which is understandable, he also offered to set up a MoveinCool for us in case it got too hot.  Very nice of him.

Prompt professional service. Technicians were friendly and capable. Will use them again.

Mac's is the only plumber we use. They are prompt, reasonably priced and honest as they come. We have a high tech tankless water heater that requires experience as well as training. Steve not only fixed the tankless heater problem in a few minutes but showed me how to perform periodic maintenance to keep the system tip top all for a very reasonable service charge, considerably less than others I called. You can trust Mac and the crew!! We sure do!!

Once again I had Mac's Plumbing Heating & Air, my favorite plumbing contractor take care of some work I needed done. I had them replace the master tub and fix a master dripping sink faucet.  With the bathroom and fixtures being 15 years old they ran into some snags.  Isaac stuck with it though and Mac's fulfilled their agreement.  Thanks to everyone at Mac's- Steve, Rosie, Shannon, Yvonne, the tub replacement team....I'm sorry....forgot the name and Isaac!
Whenever anyone asks me for a plumber recommendation I tell them Mac's.

I contacted Mac's Plumbing on a Friday afternoon, because the pilot light in our water heater had gone out which, unfortunately, works in conjunction with our furnace, so we had no hot water or heat.  I was desperate with the weekend ahead of us, because my 98 year old mother lives with my husband and myself.  Even though they had a full schedule, Steve was kind enough to stop by and light the pilot for us.  He also found there was a defective part, which he ordered, so he could return and replace it the following week.  It was a relief to have someone understand that with an elderly person in our home it had become an urgent situation and arrive in a timely manner to care for us.  We had met Steve once before when our son had his water heater repaired and Steve had done a wonderful job, so he was the first call we made.  We will absolutely call Mac's Plumbing for our future needs and refer them to our friends, because we have faith that the work will be completed properly.
