John helped us at the 11th hour with moving and reinstalling our washer and dryer. Just a little background, we live in Texas and needed our washer and dryer moved from the laundry room. This was to allow the plumbers to replace our water heater and do some work there, requiring the washer and dryer to be moved out. I called two days before I needed his services, and he was able to work us in with his already packed schedule. What made John stand out for us was how he asked what we needed done and didn't write us off immediately due to the time constraints, like several other individuals in his profession had prior to us contacting him. He worked with our tenant and was able to schedule a time that worked for her during the work week. Constantly keeping us in the loop and keeping his prices very fair, we absolutely will use John in the future and highly recommend his services. Thanks again John!

John and an assistant came to install a new range hood for me. They were incredibly professional, let me watch to learn a few things and were very creative to overcome some barriers. He was very quick to communicate and stuck with his quote.

John finally came and gave us the estimate, and we have him do the repair.  John did a great job getting the side gate rebuilt, and repaired the wood sidings for the garage.  John is good but he is very busy.

So let me start off by saying John must be the brother of Doc from the Back To The Future Movies, lol.

I had hired someone to help with some smart light switches and they broke a few and left with my lights not working.

So I contacted John and he quoted me on replacing 20 - 30 light switches to smart internet-connected ones. I had already purchased them at Costco, so I just needed the install.

When he got to my house he immediately saw what the other guy did wrong and got the job done.

Asked him about removing a water softener system, he said no problem and took care of it.

Asked for help with a few other items, he said no problem and took care of it.

I tell ya, John can do anything, he knows his stuff and won't waste your time or money.

Very happy with the quality of John's work and how quickly he gets it done.  He repaired a wall, textured, repainted a bathroom, installed a toilet, put in a new steel door and cut in a dog door for me - all of it was great and done in just a few days.

I would trust John with my daughters at a Motel 6. And it's not just because they can run faster.  He does quality work, his costs are fair, communication good, and like Janice J. said, he will give attention to the job and help his customer, not just do the least amount possible.

We hired John to run power to and install 2 attic fans in a sweltering hot attic, add an outlet for a security camera, install 2 outlets on outside walls, add power to a Ring doorbell, add an outlet in our garage, re-route an ice maker water line, add an outlet in our kitchen, and shampoo our 2 dogs. Ok that last one no, but you get the idea.

I would highly recommend John!! John and his work is as good as it gets!! I had a project to replace a side door to a garage and I looked on Yelp for someone to do the work. I requested a quote from John and he got back to me in less than an hour on a weekend. He has great communication and we easily made arrangements for the job. The price he charged was excellent. Found John on Yelp. I've hired him 2 times in the last few months to do some 1-2 day jobs that had lots of small tasks. I made a list and walked him thru. He quoted me his hourly rate to which I agreed.

He arrived on time with his assistant and went to work. They completed every task doing exactly as I requested. His work was outstanding! They did a lot of electrical, some plumbing, drywall and painting, carpentry. He and his assistant are pleasant and even funny. His prices were reasonable. I will definitely use him for future projects. I'm workin on another list now.

John has been a great resource for helping with things around the house. We have called him on two occasions and he has helped us with replacing fence posts, fence/gate repair, mounting TV, installing a thermostat, among other items around the house. I hired John to replace an existing shower door medicine cabinet and bathroom sink and cabinet and bathroom door.  He also replaced a ceiling lamp and vertical blind valance.  Everything was done perfectly.  in fact his workmanship went above and beyond our expectations.  I would hire him again.  his prices are very reasonable and John is a very nice person and easy to talk to.

John came out to see if I needed to change out an exhaust fan. After careful examination and troubleshooting of the fan (including access to the attic), he gave me good advice. Will certainly call him for my projects!

I initially contacted him right before Christmas and was expecting a delay in response. I was very happy to get a quick response and a visit to let me know expenses and plan of attack. John and his worker showed up and did an outstanding job on the project that needed immediate attention. He was thorough, conscientious and cleaned up after himself.
On my second job, he advised that I contact my insurance company to see if damage is covered, and he would return at another time
to finish the job to our specifications.

John did a great job for installing a pocket door, vanity and drywall with reasonable price. He gives you good suggestions and listen to your opinions as well. I would refer him to all my friends for sure.

John is incredibly talented, reliable and professional. He removed the popcorn, mudded, textured and painted our ceilings and they came out better than I could have ever imagined. He also helped us permanently fix a recurring clog last summer. He cleared the clog and added a cleanout. We have not had any problems since. To be honest, I have no service to review. The two gentlemen came to my home, reviewed my list of projects and I never heard back. Nothing. We had messaged on Yelp prior but they never even let me know they were not interested in doing the work.

My first time calling John and he right away squeezed me in on his very busy schedule. I asked him to install a bathroom sliding door over our tub and it was very quick and very clean workmanship. Price is very reasonable considering his drive to my place. I would definitely recommend him.

I contacted John to have some recessed lights installed in my living room. I chose John after reading many positive reviews as well as comments about how reasonable his pricing is. When I received his quote I didn't even bother to get a 2nd estimate. Well him and his helper did an outstanding job installing all 12 lights in 1 day. They also cleaned up the mess when finished. It amazes me how some electricians will leave wire scraps all over for us to clean up after them. Not with John and his helper. John then patched the hole he needed to create for the wiring and came back the next day to texture. Even the patch and texture came out great. This was one of many projects my wife and I want to have done. We've been searching for a good handyman and I think we've found him.

John has done a ton of work on my house over the last year and a half. He will do a complete job or part of it depending on what you want without pressuring you into stuff you don't need. For example, my hubby tried to install a ceiling fan (which he has done multiple times previously), but the way our attic was designed made it difficult to get to the room where we wanted the ceiling fan. My hubs ended up putting his steel-toed boot through the ceiling. John came out, did the electrical and other set-up in the ceiling and turned the hole into the ceiling into a better attic access than what the house originally had (at my request). My hubs then attached the ceiling fan in the room and finished the electrical himself. John has also helped us with running electrical for installation of new recessed lighting, surround sound, and tv (with cables in the wall). He also helped my husband with retexturing our living room ceiling and it looks wonderful! He also came out with his brother to install new baseboards on a time crunch! He also built a wall and installed a door when the master bath didn't have one at all. All of the work is professional and looks awesome! He matched the wall to the texture on the surrounding walls perfectly! He even helped install a new bathtub upstairs for us! He is also very reasonably priced and will tell you if it is more worth your time and money to try a different route.

He is a drywall and texture expert so if you need any of that kind of work done, don't look anywhere else!  We will definitely be having him return to do more work and I love how he lets my hubs do some of the work himself (since my hubs did repairs like this once upon a time- just not for residential jobs).

We chose to hire John because he is local, is both a certified  plumber and electrician, and did most of the work himself which kept his labor costs reasonable and within budget. His payment terms were more than fair. Once the job started, he came on-time, every day, until the job was finished.

John completely transformed our bathroom from an ugly, sagging, outdated 1980s builder's grade bathroom to a clean, new, modern, drop-dead beautiful space. He gutted the bathroom and pulled up the subfloor, discovered why the bathroom floor was sagging, then fixed it. He also discovered a water leak under the floor around the toilet and fixed that so it would never happen again. He removed a fiberglass prefab tub/shower and replaced it with a real tub and shower. He hired a professional tile subcontractor who tiled the shower, floor, and a customized wall niche. John managed the subcontractor well, making sure he came back to fix a tiling problem that was discovered after the subcontractor was finished and gone. He turned a useless corner of a bedroom closet into a usable storage space in the bathroom. He moved the sink plumbing so it would hide behind a modern floating vanity, and moved the lighting from over the vanity mirror to accommodate sconces on either side. He installed a customized wall niche into an area where an old medicine cabinet used to be. He not only painted and hung a new bathroom door, he also changed two bedroom doors so they would all match. He also replaced all the molding and baseboards and did all the painting. He was open to changes and did his best to fulfill them. He also made design suggestions that we hadn't originally considered. All in all, the job went smoothly and within the estimated timeframe and budget.  We can't wait to hire him again for another project.

We first found John when we needed a ceiling fan replaced in our bathroom that required someone to work in a narrow edge of the attic. John came over with an assistant and they replaced it and cleaned up afterward. He was a very nice man and very reasonably priced.

I made sure to keep his number and when the hot water heater in our rental home went out, we called John to replace it. He was knowledgeable and did a great job on that installation also!

We now keep John's information close at hand and he is our go-to guy.

I hired John to install a closet wall and a door. He provided a fair price and did an excellent job. He clean up everyday prior to leaving.  After four days, we now a downstairs bedroom.  Now on to the Kitchen.

Wow!  John is the best handyman I have ever worked with!  His pricing is fair, he does quality work, and he finishes in a timely manner.  My mother passed and we were renovating her house to sell it, and there were a few small projects that needed to be done, and every other person I had look at the house either didn't follow through or came up with a bloated estimate.  And when my small bathroom resurface turned into a sub flooring remodel he communicated with me quickly and then told me he was the man to help me and he also gave me a fair fee for the additional work. My mom's bathroom is now the best part of the house!   Oh and when I didn't know what u was doing he pointed me in the right direction.

We have been using John for approx. seven years, from when we first bought our house. He has redone the bathrooms, remodeled bedrooms, ran electrical, installed recessed lighting, hung fans and lights and we have always been happy with his quality work.

We made a mistake this year and hired someone else for a remodeling job (family) and they botched the project. We then ran to John and asked him to take the project over and save us. John being John, did so. For any project, you need to call John.

We recently had our kitchen remodeled and needed drywall, electrical and plumbing work and contacted John through Yelp after seeing excellent reviews regarding him and his work.  Not only is he very knowledgeable and hardworking but we really enjoyed having him around.  He was willing to make multiple trips throughout the whole process in order to accommodate the different tasks as they came up.  The other reviewers who praised his drywall skills were so right, and our painter agreed.  The work wrapped up yesterday and everything turned out perfect, but we will really miss John and his sunny disposition!  His prices are very reasonable, his communication great and he always showed up as promised.  We will definitely be calling him for future projects.

First had John out to replace drywall from a busted water heater. He was prompt and did a great job. Removed and reinstalled a toilet and the drywall texture was perfect. Very fair pricing. Wished we had called him from the start.  Called him back for several other projects both large and small.  Had to workout timing because he sometimes has multiple jobs going and does his best to accommodate.  Could've communicated better but does good work.  It can be difficult to find reliable contractors who are willing to do the smaller jobs but John is always willing, if he has time, and honest. I would highly recommend and will call him back for other projects.

I hired a handyman and the day before he was to start he was injured and unable to do the work for an indefinite period of time.  I was desperate so I searched Yelp and found John Belanger Construction. Based on all his great reviews, I contacted him.  I cannot say enough nice things about John! He came out, gave us very fair and reasonable estimates (we had a list) and completed all of the jobs quickly.  During these jobs several other unrelated issues came up (old 1927 house!) and John fixed those too!  We kept saying Thank goodness for John! When he installed a wall dog door in a carpeted room, he used a cardboard to catch the debris and then used his own vacuum to finish cleaning up - I was very impressed. Suffice it to say that John is now our #1 Handyman!  John does excellent work and he can basically do anything - I would recommend him to anyone who needs a handyman or remodeling! He carefully describes what needs to be done, makes his recommendations, sets a price, does the work and cleans up everything very nicely - no surprises, just great work.  You can tell he takes pride in his work!

I was in need of having my old cast stone fireplace surround removed and the area prepped for a new installation. Accepting this was outside my field of expertise, I looked around for someone who might be able to assist. I found John Belanger Construction on Yelp, with lots of great reviews, so I reached out to him. Before I could even finish my sentence, he was already describing to me what I needed done and how it would work. I believe this is one of those guys who just happens to know everything.

He squeezed me in for a same day appointment and arrived a few hours later. He assessed the situation and got right to work. The next thing I knew, the old stone fireplace was gone, the area was squeaky clean, and even the walls where everything was removed were in perfect condition, ready for the new install. You almost would have never even know they were there if my fireplace wasn't missing. Perfect work.

John is a great guy who I can't recommend highly enough. This is definitely a number you don't want to lose.

Found John on Yelp and contacted for a quote to replace a wood side yard gate that was damaged and dragging.  He was able to quote based on pics and dimensions I sent.  When he came out, he built the gate on site, made some improvements to the existing mounting posts and size to prevent any future issues.  Only took a few hours to do, cut up the old gate for me, and cleaned up the dust.  I'm so thrilled to finally have a nice working gate!

John did great work. He went above and beyond what was required to install ceiling fans for me. I really appreciated his professionalism on this job.  I definitely recommend him for all types of home improvement jobs! I know I will call on him again for future projects.

John worked on our house and did a variety of repairs for us.  We are so impressed with his work we cannot recommend him highly enough.  He resolved the problem with the dishwasher spouting water from the air gap, installed a garbage disposal and faucet, repaired a collapsed vent pipe in the attic, fixed a failed attic support, reapaired a ceiling crack, mudded, sanded, spackled so nicely you cannot tell it was repaired and it doesn't even need to be painted.  He also replaced a water heater and dryer gas line with new valves.   He made it all seem so easy, he was fast, thorough, professional and efficient.  We are so pleased with his work we will think of him first anytime we need any further repair work.  Just an awesome experience!

John has a done a bunch of different types of work at my house and has done all of it well.  He has done things from electrical, drywall, stereo speaker installation, etc.  I think John can literally do anything.  I highly recommend him for whatever project you have in mind.

WOW!!!  What a lifesaver!  Came when he said he would, finished within his two hour time frame AND not only did the one job I had asked for in record time, but then tackled and completed my list of do you think it's feasible and if so might you be able to pencil me in again tasks - what a pleasant surprise for my other half to come home to later.  Even more to my joy, he is highly ethical and informed me when one job simply would not be doable as it would result in damage in the near future.  Others would have just taken our money and run leaving us with a mess later.  What a relief to find honest, reliable and competent - LICENSED - professionals.  :-)  I'm going to start on my next list...  hahaha

John and Tim came out to install a sink, and provide estimates on other construction needed. They both were very thorough on the job, providing not only professionalism, but were very knowledgeable and always informed me of any potential problems/change of direction needed before proceeding. Our new sink installation turned out amazing, as it was not a simple sink installation, but they were amazing and I will definitely be calling them again for any work needed around the house!

Used yelp to contact John for what I consider to be a somewhat large project.  We had a slab leak and a plumbing company came out and rerouted the line throughout the house which left 12-16 small-medium-large holes in the drywall throughout the house.

John was able to start within 72 hours of the quote which was a bonus.  Note as with all contractors this obviously depends on the amount of work they have booked.  

I initially booked John due to the drywall pictures posted on yelp, and he is as good as the pictures show.  I've got a few different textures throughout the house (just how things have evolved) and he was able to match them all very well.  He's definitely an expert when it comes to this stuff.

I'm going to post a picture, the only reason you can see that there was ever a hole in the ceiling is because it hasn't been painted yet.  Wanted to get a picture because I have no before pictures  The texture match is spot on, as is the rest of the patches he did.

I also asked him to install a pressure reducing valve on my main inlet which he was able to do quickly.

Overall a very nice, neat, reasonable jack of all trades handyman.  He is also a licensed plumber.  I've already recommended him to others.

Great, reliable company!!  We hired John to run an electrical line with an emergency shut-off switch to an outdoor above ground Jacuzzi spa.  His approach to getting the line from point A to point B far exceeded another electrician we spoke with. He also stuck with his price even though it was a bit tougher to run the line under our grass than I'm sure he expected. He met absolutely all of our expectations and we highly recommend his services.

John did a great job through the whole process. First, he's a local guy and I love that he knew his way around Corona. Second, he took the time prior to ask what what going on. Third he showed up on time, covered the area so it wouldn't get damaged and fixed my microwave blower in just a few minutes. This issue would've taken me hours to figure out, so well worth the money. I would highly recommend John, we used him to convert our loft into a room.. When I called him, he was able to come the following day to give me an estimate. The estimate he provided me with was very reasonable, so I ended up going with him.. John took his time & didn't rush throughout the project. During the project I decided I wanted to add recessed lighting to the room and he was able to provide me with a separate quote and have it installed for me. I will definitely use him for any future projects.

John responded to my initial contact within a few minutes and provided a reasonable estimate after viewing our electrical, flooring and door replacement projects. He suggested reasonable alternatives rather than the more costly and time intensive electrical options. He texted appointment confirmation the night before and arrived punctually. He was flexible when we added on the installation of two solar security lights. He advised us on code requirements for our door replacements and tutored us on tile selections for our next project.

We subsequently hired John for an additional set of projects, painting a bedroom, cutting, painting and installing mop boards running electrical service and installing a new ceiling fan; installing a kitchen floor and threshold including cutting, painting and installing mop boards; rehanging three existing hallway doors; and cutting, painting and installing a new board for our ceiling attic entry. This experience was not as positive as our first. John and his assistant did not come prepared with adequate tools and supplies causing unnecessary delays in completion. The bedroom required a paint redo as several areas were not adequately covered. Although John assured us that he could install our choice of kitchen flooring, well into the project he acknowledged that he was not familiar with the materials and hadn't paid attention to the overall patterning. We asked him to remove and replace a section before continuing. He advised against it saying they had had to hammer the snap-in pieces to lay flat and that it could compromise the remainder of the installation. This resulted in a less than attractive, expensive floor with damaged seams.  I give an overall rating of three stars because John and his assistant were very pleasant and required a lot of oversight.

Took care of a broken garbage disposal for us today. Timely responses to inquiry, on time, friendly, and fare rates. What more could you ask for!

I contacted John electronically for a quote for a window repair. I had a couple of people get back to me with inflated pricing and didn't really guarantee what they were going to do to fix the window or how they were really going to do it. John was able to give me an exact quote electronically, diagnose the problem remotely, came in and fixed it within minutes he is experienced reliable honest and fair. I will be contacting him again for my handyman needs.

I called John for a ceiling leak in my garage below my upstairs restroom.  He showed up on time and cut the ceiling open to diagnose the problem.  It turns out that I installed the toilet incorrectly a few months prior.  He reinstalled the toilet using two wax rings instead of one.  I'll stick to my day job!

He quoted me a price for coming back to install drywall in the ceiling, patch and texture.  The price was reasonable so I monitored the the re-installed toilet with no leaks.  He came back when he said he would and re-installed the drywall and patched.  He told me he would make another trip to texture the ceiling after the drywall mud has dried.  

He showed up when he said he would and masked everything off to texture.  He textured and after it was dry I could not tell that any work had been performed on the ceiling so I was happy about that.  He is reliable, friendly, courteous and does good work at a reasonable price.  He does plumbing, electrical and carpentry so I will definitely use him again.  Five stars!

Found Mr John thru Yelp, quick reply regarding quote for a few things needed repairing around the house.  I was able to schedule an appt on a Sat, showed him my list and thanks to Mr John, everything on my to do list was completed.  I will be reaching out to him for future and any more repair work, thank u again.

Called John a couple of weeks to look at my toilet leak and drywall repair. Quoted me a price with a little wiggle room, which was nice. Set a time and day and he was here ready to work. Even redid my drywall patch that I had messed up! Price never changed. If you are looking for someone that knows his stuff and keeps his word, call John.
