J & M Plumbers took care of two plumbing matters for me.  (1)  They installed a water pressure regulator on the main water line into the house and (2) They fixed a leak in the drain from the kitchen sink.
I was very pleased with their service.  They were very responsive for communication.  Jeremiah was the plumber who visited the house.  He was very polite, professional and sincerely wanted to address my concerns.  The prices were reasonable.

I highly recommend J&M plumbers.  All 3 hose bibbs in my home were leaking when turned open.  I reached out to 12 close by plumbers.  J&M responded right away and the price was also the most reasonable.  They came the next day and fixed it vrry quickly.  The team was very professional and knowledgeable.  I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends for sure.  Thank you J&M plumbers!

Incredible! We had a clogged drain in our kitchen and I had the feeling we'd be waiting for a plumber for a couple of days... my better half called around and found Dave who promptly put things in motion. Jeremy came by less than 1.5 hour later and was able to fix the issue within 30 minutes. He was even able to clean up after himself and there are no traces of any work done. I'd recommend J&M to anyone - great guys.

Price was fair.... I think it's about average rate.  But in general, you're paying plumbers for their experience.  

Carlos was the plumber and he's a great guy... he got the job done.  5 stars for the service.  They were able to make it last minute in about an hour to replace a faucet.

Gave suggestions on how to fix future problems without upselling or being pushy. Would definitely recommend.

VERY grateful to J & M Plumbers repair of a pipe leak over our bed. They dispatched a plumber within an hour to fix the problem and texted us a picture of their excellent work. This company saved the day for me.  First, I paid $85 to another plumber for an estimate to repair a pipe in the crawl space under our house in Fullerton.  That company quoted $1,200 to replace the leaking section of pipe but said we really needed to replace the entire pipe to the clean-out in front of the house.  Some of that pipe is underground and the price was just under $5,000.  I checked with a couple of other companies via phone using the info obtained on the first estimate and none were interested in the job and basically said their charges would be about the same.  Then we called J & M Plumbers who actually sounded like they could help and didn't charge for another opinion.  The total charge for replacing the leaking section of pipe was $450 and they said the rest of the pipe didn't need emergency replacement as it was still okay.  Highly recommend J & M Plumbers and will never use anyone else after this experience.

One of our toilets wasn't flushing properly.  So,  I got the trusty old manual snake out.  It flushes OK now.  But since I found a few tree roots I knew that was just a temporary fix.  

So, I sent the following to J&M via a Yelp request for quote.

I need a ballpark estimate for the following:
1) Clean-out tree roots from the main sewer line (black ABS).
It's about 30 feet from the main clean-out to the sidewalk (the clean-out is in the side yard).  
2) Clean-out toilet drain line to the main clean-out.
The main clean-out is adjacent to the toilet that was backing-up (about six feet away).
You'll probably have to remove the toilet to do this.
3) Treat sewer line with a foaming dichlobenil root killer like Roebic or RootX.  

He was the only guy that actually ANSWERED all of my questions!

He replied saying that his estimates were exactly that, just estimates. However, he did offer a free in home consultation.  

I made an appointment.  He came-out inspected the drains and said that the main sewer line was clear.  That was certainly good news.

That being the case he suspected that the source of the roots was from root intrusion into the toilet drain near the flange.

He gave me a price for pulling the toilet to determine if that was truly the source of the problem.  I said, OK.

Upon pulling the toilet he found that the wax seal had been totally replaced by roots!  He pulled 3 feet of roots from the toilet drain.

Since the toilet didn't wobble or leak at the base, I was totally amazed by this.  The tree roots apparently suck up every drop of water available.

Then he cleaned up the mess caused by the roots, put in a new wax seal and re-installed the toilet.  

The bad news is that it the problem may re-occur if the root doesn't die.   If that happens, I'll dump some copper sulfate on the exposed root.

I didn't want to do that this time around for fear that I'd stain the surrounding tile.

Well, it's been a year now and it's still flushing OK.  All in all, I've got zero complaints with the work that he did.

While he was there I also had him clean-out one of our shower drains that was slow.  Turns-out it was mostly caked-up soap.

It's been a rough week with a broken washer and then 2 plugged drains that only happens on the weekend. I checked yelp and Jesus and Marcela were available Sunday am to come to the rescue. These are the nicest family people ever. There service was quick and clean and VERY reasonable. I've saved their business info and will highly recommend to yelp and my friends to use this business.  Very happy!

Contacted them thru Yelp and came within the hour on a Sunday afternoon. The job wasn't an emergency but it's nice to just take care of it. Jesus quoted me a low price and I'm sure most of the cost is related to labor and just coming out, I get that. But talk about an easy process and a non leaking sink... would recommend.

I have a house out in a suburb of Orange County that I don't use very often.  My neighbor called to let me know that I had some water puddling up in front yard.  I called several plumbers and there was always sone kind of issue about them getting out there right away.  It was early on Sunday, maybe that was the reason.  Also, the prices they were quoting seemed a bit high.  A friend of mine  gave me Jesus' info and a very high recommendation.  I liked Jesus over the phone and he said he could be there in about 2 hours.

I couldn't go out there, so I asked him to send me pics when he found out what was wrong.  Turned out, it was the main water line coming into the house through the front yard and I was very concerned about water damage and having a leak turn the front yard into a swimming pool or worse.

He sent me pics like he said he would and it looked really bad to me, you could actually see the water coming up through the ground ever so slightly.  He turned the water off and started digging.  The main line was actually cracked open.  They had to dig out a big section of the yard and they did something that I thought was pretty smart.  They cut out the bad section of pipe and dug several feet below it and about ten feet long.  They filled and packed it with gravel and sand that they had brought with them.  This way, the pipe wasn't in the way and they could use their compacting machine to pack the dirt really well.  Then they repaired the line on top of the new compacted soil.  That made all the difference in it being fixed right.

They fixed and tested  the copper pipe to make sure it did not leak,  then back filled the rest of the trench with the new dry dirt they brought with them.  They were even careful with the grass and did a nice job of putting it back so I didn't have to call the landscaper to come out.  They even hauled the old mud away with them.

Jesus was very prepared for everything and they finished in one day.  It was really great to get pictures of what they were doing as they were working.  It gave me a lot of peace of mind at how the job was going.  Absolute professionals.  Jesus is my new go-to guy.  Loved the way it turned out.

Probably no one really wants to call the plumber bc it's usually for something that's going wrong. This was exact my situation...

We had a huge water leak and we weren't able to stop it because our landlord didn't maintain the emergency water shut off, so it was extremely rusted and old.

We were able to get most of the water to hit the shower and kept towels on the floor while we waited for the plumber to get here. He came within 15-20 min!

He was so calm and collected that it really helped alleviate the absolute CHAOS happening in the house. I really appreciated their communication and service!! Would totally recommend!!

They also feel a little more like a small mom & pop shop and it always feels better support a family business. I did try calling a few other places on Yelp that had a lot more reviews, but they had 0 urgency to help...one of them told me that they could send a tech to my house, between now and 2 hours. I can't say when they'll get there, but that's the window. The bathroom was flooding!! I didn't have the luxury of having time to spare.

Being a single woman, being able to trust people doing work in my home is very important.  I was very comfortable with J&M and felt a level of professionalism that made me feel at ease.  No swearing or any nonsense, just get to work and get it done.  Very pleased with the work they did and the price seemed more than reasonable compared to other places I called.  Very highly recommend.

He was very responsive to the calls and text messages up to the appointment day. We confirmed the appointment the days before it. He did not showed up and didn't answer any messages or calls after he missed the appointment. Very disappointed.

I had a leak in my main water line at a rental property I own. I then called my Real Estate person who helps me with getting tenants for the property and she referred me to Jesus of J and M Plumbers.  I lucked out with this referral.  Jesus went to the property, found the leak, quoted me a price and started the job that afternoon.  This was a Holiday weekend (4th of July) but he also worked the following Saturday. My tenants sent me photos of the major trenches that were dug and the new copper pipe lines that were laid.  I could not believe that he was able to put the lawn back together without destroying it. This saved me the additional expense of purchasing new sod. I was able to pay with my credit card online after looking over the invoice that he emailed to me. I could not be more impressed with the service I received.  I look forward to using this company at all of my properties. They are trust worthy, professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and fair priced.

So I contacted J& M on Sunday to figure out why my water was not working. Jesus reached out to me quickly and said he can get out there within 1 hour which was a blessing as the house is an Airbnb and we had guests needing water. His quote was $100 plus any repairs. A guy other than Jesus shows up on time and was very professional. He checked the meter and other stuff looking for leaks or what ever. He was there for 10 minutes and found the main valve was closed for some reason. No repairs needed, great news.

The bad news. He charged $250. I asked what the $100 was for and he said to show up. The diagnostic and said repair was $250.

I just felt that was smoke & mirror and felt taken advantage of. I just wanted to share so no one else gets caught up in the bait & switch they practice.

Jesus was fast to reply, fast to come see the work and prepared the quote exactly on the day he had promised.

I went another route and won't do this project, but for my next plumbing work, I know who to call. He's great!

I called early in the morning today and spoke with  David who was very professional, very patient and informative.  I had a leak under my kitchen sink and my disposal was not working. I had a really bad clog.  David scheduled a plumber to come in the afternoon but contacted me shortly after speaking with him to let me know he had another plumber to come in the morning.  I took the appointment and the plumber came as scheduled and was very professional and thorough with the service and installation of my new faucet and clean out.  The plumber was very thorough and noticed I had a leak in my dishwasher so he replaced the hose after finishing up on the previous repairs.  Very satisfied with this company.  Great over all service and would definitely recommend and use them in the future for my plumbing needs.  Make sure to check out their website for any coupons offered as well!

Mike came out to do the repair but failed to repair leak.   He claimed supply and valve were defective, which they are not.  Ended up fixing myself.  Not happy paying to potentially cause more damage than fix.

Discovered my house's thermocouple wasn't working anymore and 2 hours later, Jesus came to our house and fixed it right away for us, it cost $150 and that included parts and labor.

We had to have our shower drain replaced in our condo here in Irvine and after a nightmare of a search for somebody reliable, qualified, and not full of crap, we found Jesus.  The drain has been replaced, we've had no further problems with it and no issues with the downstairs unit.  Jesus got the job done in a day and a morning, and at a good price.  He was also very responsive and returned phone calls promptly, a big plus when your working with contractors.

I needed two hose bibbs replaced. The J&M quote was reasonable for this straightforward job, and was done based on the photo I sent. Another firm sent me an estimate three times as much, also based on the same photo. Two others wanted to send someone out for an estimate...reasonable for a more complex job, but for this? I liked J&M's simple approach. The job was completed in under an hour.

Reliable and professional. Compared to other plumbers, this is a very reasonable company that I can trust. Fixed the water valves for my washers and dryers.

Jesus, a guy with integrity and value! I had a slab leak (3rd times) and being fed up with the previous contractor I had, I called Jesus! He came immediately, detected the leak, and re-piped my entire house in a week. Not only did his crew did a great job, he had like 8 people working I pairs at different area. He completed the re-pipe in 1 day, and took only a week to complete entire job. I recommended him to 2 of my closest friend & family. I now have his number as he'll be my go-to guy from now on. Every area was handled with precision and care plus he is a really nice guy too!

1. Jesus of J & M Plumbers is my new go-to plumber. He ROCKS! He's the only one of four plumbing-hip people who had the know-how, integrity, skill, & tools to clear my dammed kitchen clean-out. He's the BEST! Here's why. (Skip to paragraphs 5 - 10 if you're busy.)

2. I tried to fix our clogged pipe under the sink myself: to a hose-end I attached a Drain-King - an inflatable rubber attachment - to flush out the drain. That method had worked in the past, but as it turned out, this hose was even older & frailer than I! Alas, the end of it broke off, and I couldn't fish it out. So I called two handymen, who tried valiantly, but couldn't retrieve it, shred the rubber, or flush the object out to the street.

3. Next I called a $66-to-unclog-your-drain plumber. Two polite, experienced, professional-seeming men showed up in blue uniforms. They couldn't clear the drain, either, but for $200 they used a sensor to tell me it was under my floor, and that I'd probably have to rip through my floor and concrete base, or break through the concrete patio in front in hopes of getting to the King. They wanted $2,800 to do that, but said no guarantee of success, and I said I'd seek a second opinion.

4. Then I went to an old list of praised plumbers from years ago. No one called back. So I checked out Yelp, and was inspired to call J & M Plumbers b/c of glowing reviews about the salvific Jesus. With good humor he responded at once to my prayer for help. This friendly guy came over with his bright son Jeremiah, scoped out the situation, & said he could break through the concrete for $1,200, tho' it would likely not help the situation. (Btw, the next day another plumber returned my call and said he'd charge $1,200 too, and he didn't know about Jesus. So he & Jesus made those other two nice plumbers look downright predatory - & almost as pricey as Cole Services.)

5. Jesus then said he'd be willing to try what the others had failed at. If he failed too, he said, his efforts would be free, but if he succeeded, he'd charge $450 for the cleaning plus more to remove the King. It was close to Independence Day, and I recalled how costly it was to get King George III out of the picture back in 1776 when I was a boy, so I said yea, but added that since I'd surely give Jesus $50 for trying, how 'bout coming down to $400. We agreed. He & Jeremiah set right to work.

6. I had no idea the task would take so long or require so many hours of effort, sweat, & imagination. Jesus couldn't use a camera, since the murky drain water prevented his seeing anything. But he fetched an extra-slender snake from his miraculous truck and snaked it (sorry: no other verb will do!) up the pipe, back & forth, over & over, 'til he'd just barely squeezed by the rubber Drain King, which had swollen up so full with water it blocked almost all the space in the drain. Almost is the key here, for Jesus was able to squeak by the King and unlock the door - er, unclog the drain: after mucho trying and retrying on his part, the King dam gave way and the water burst through the blockage!

7. Jesus could now send a camera downstream to see what was what. Aha! the King's tubular rubber part was parallel with the pipe, behind all we could see: that durned brass hose end gleaming in mockery at our efforts. It was the reason no one else had been able to push the King further or shred it - that brass hose-end was like a little shield protecting the rubber.

8. So Jesus got some hyper-hydro action going, and - after, again, a great deal of effort and jet-stream-fast water blasts - he was able to flush out the King into the wider main drain. Then he finished clearing my clean-out pipe, showed me (w/his camera) some roots in the pipe, saying that my handyman could take care of that, which I appreciated. Now, I had anxiously watched Jesus work very hard - and resourcefully, first trying one approach, then another - for hours. So I much appreciated this gambler's dedication, competence, belief in himself, and willingness to take a risk. Young Jeremiah was a real help to him, too.

9. After a day of misery, I saw that Jesus was indeed The Man, and I cheerfully (for me, a cheapskate) handed him $400 plus $200 more, which we both felt was a fair deal for all the extra work - and achievement! - his confidence (emanating from years of experience - plus an array of expensive tools) had prompted him to dare attempt.

10. You had to have been there to see how hard he was working, but I think that in his three hours of dedicated, dogged, intelligent effort - which ended in success and glory! - he saved me from having to rip up my floor or my concrete just in the hope of maybe clearing my kitchen clean-out. He definitely saved my bacon and well earned his money. So I may be a little poorer today, but thanks to him & his son, not nearly as poor as I could have been. So I say, blessed are the poor, and blessed be Jesus for sure!

This week we we're referred to J&M Plumbing by Lou Colomo and gave them a call. We had numerous things done and found the company very reputable. Jeremy did a really good job with all that he had to do. Any questions we had were explained to us and his work was great. I would recommend J & l Plumbers in a nano second.

About 11 months ago, J&M Plumbers added a water pressure regulator to my main line and replaced my main shutoff valve in the process.  Recently, I noticed the shutoff valve wasn't turning off the water completely (you can turn it off at the water meter instead in an emergency).  I contacted J&M to see if they would warranty their work and take a look at the installation.  They set up an appointment, diagnosed the problem as a failed shutoff valve, replaced and tested it as functioning, all without charge.  It's nice to see a business with integrity.  5 stars earned and deserved. Thank you J&M!

I give the highest marks to Jesus for helping diagnose my plumbing issue with a phone consultation. He responded the morning after I posted my inquiry the night before on Yelp with the offer of a chat. It was not an offer to just have a conversation or to lead to a repair trip or something else. He was genuinely there to listen to my describing the issue and offer concrete help. He was honest and straightforward. Nothing else. He told me what to do and held nothing back. He was also following up with me on my DIY progress. He gave me so much confidence that I felt very relieved because there was a professional by my side. The issue had been bothering me for many days. He imparted so much goodwill that I saved his contact in my phone so he will be the first one I reach out for any future plumbing needs. I felt that I need to pay him something as a token of appreciation for his advice and goodwill. This review is the least I could do right now. I think that everyone when having to deal with issues is extremely cautious and looks for (and unfortunately often not finding) honesty, trustworthiness, and fairness. So when we occasionally come across it, we ought to encourage, compensate, and reward those who freely dispense it because that is what they are, such that every experience is an excellent one for everyone involved.

After stumbling through a different companies delays in sending their plumber, and a four day wait overall, I came upon Jesus who scheduled us at the end of the same day of my call.  He worked late to repair our hot water heater.  His diagnosis was quick and his work in replacing two parts was thorough.  Before starting work, he covered our rug with a blanket to keep any debris from getting onto our rug (the heater was in-house).  I liked the concern that he showed in our situation. Thank you Jesus for getting us hot water again!

These folks were super responsive and were able to work with me on a quick turnaround request. Had a broken mixet shower valve. Luckily had the spare parts, and it was fixed at a very reasonable and competitive price point. Two weeks later, an issue arose in the repair and while it couldn't be determined if their prior repair played a role or not, they came out on a same-day request and fixed the issue free of charge. Will absolutely be reaching out to this business for future plumbing issues, and will be recommending them to anyone.

I had a good first impression from Mike, who came on a Sunday for a free estimate of the work; then offered first a highly priced fix, then returned with half the cost if I put down half right then to reserve the appointment.  On the day for service, two different men showed up, one extremely young, and they were mistaken on the service needed. They also would not turn off the water; so they left to return the next day.  Upon calling Mike, he informed me that they were not going to be liable for turning off the water; the low cost did not include this service. He also said the work men spoke with a condo manager who told them they could not touch the boiler.  I informed Mike that there is no manager onsite; and that they were misinformed. Licensed plumbers have no problem doing this before starting repair work. Additionally, and most importantly,  I told him that my daughter was uncomfortable with the men that arrived -- they seemed confused, unorganized and unprofessional; and I did not want them returning. He said I would not get my deposit back. I would NOT recommend them.

We have used them since 2019 and it's always been excellent and fast service! So glad we discovered them. (Toilet repairs, disconnecting and reconnecting washing machine when we moved as moving company couldn't do it, dishwasher installation, new garbage disposal and figuring out what was wrong with the circulating pump).

After a few attempts to contact J&M, Jesus returned my call and set an appointment for the same day.  They show up promptly, fixed my broken drain pipe, and replaced a hose bib with no hiccups.

Had an appointment this morning for 10am at my restaurant to see if my water heater needs repairs or get replaced. After confirming with the Master Plumber just yesterday through text messages, not only did he not show up but when I called to see what was going on he said hes far away doing another job... really unprofessional. A restaurant with no hot water is a health code violation & I was counting on you guys but you showed this is a company that's not reliable.

Had a sink that was clogged with a lot of grease around the piping so Jesus came out to inspect the issue and provide a quote. The pipe needed a hydrojet to clean it, but Jesus was able to do it at a great cost and very quickly. Definitely recommended.
