On Monday, I asked H and M Plumbing for an estimate for installing a very basic whole house water filtration system that I already purchased with all the installation hardware included. They gave me an appointment for Tuesday 2-18-20 at 3pm and I texted them my address and phone number. On Tuesday at 3:15pm, I called them to ask if they were on their way. The father told me that he would send his son right then. I stood around for another 1 and 1/2 hours before the son showed up around 5pm. The son imagined the work to be done without writing anything down and concluded that it would be a one day job at $1600! I work  hard as a teacher and am lucky to make 1/4 of that in a day! This is why the rich who gouge their clients ruthlessly are getting richer and the middle class is struggling just to get by. Needless to say, I told him to take a hike.

Guess I should have  got a second opinion. $1300.00 later and I don't even have hot water. $550.  clear a drain and $750 to cut open my wall repair a broken pipe and then leave the hole and tell me oh we don't do drywall. Still never received receipt or copy of invoice.

Very responsive plumbing service. I called them after hours around 7pm. He asked me to locate the clean-out sewer line, which took me about an hour to locate, as we just purchased the home and weren't disclosed this info. Pro-tip: know where your clean-out line is prior to calling a plumber for any sewer issues. This will save you and them a lot of time.
Anyways, out of the 10 companies I called, they were the only ones to help me. Very professional and customer service oriented. I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

John is a nice, honest & hard working guy.He is reasonable & knows his job well.

I have found my new plumber!! H&M Plumbing did such a great job. I called them this evening after being stood up by another plumber.  They were able to come out right away.  What we thought would be a simple snaking of the line, turned out to be a little more difficult clog.  The job was very reasonably priced, they were very clean, organized and honest.  I highly recommend them.

Fixed a major clog in my kitchen sinks. Came about an hour after I called on a Saturday. Professional, courteous, & very fair prices. Also gave me useful info on how to avoid needing a plumber in the future. Highly recommend this company.

I reached out and spoke with John.  We set an appointment for 3:30 pm for a leaky hot water heater.  Mike came out and told us the problem and how to fix it (with a screwdriver).  I admit, I was skeptical that it would fix the problem, but it did.  I am just so impressed.  Even though we didn't anything else done, I absolutely will call H&M for my next issue or even just maintenance.  I've already given one referral.  Don't hesitate to reach out, I know I will!

Honest hard working.  John is a gem.  He is an honest person who does great work!!!  We've found our man for all future work!!

Agreeing with Isabel below, I am not exactly sure why this company has a 5-star rating. Please read until the end.

I contacted this contractor in the beginning of January due to an emergency plumbing service that needed to be addressed. Being in desperate need of a plumber to fix one of the leaking valves in the back of my washing machine that was spewing water everywhere, I decided to do a yelp search on emergency plumbers and lord and behold, this company was the first one to pop up due to its 5-star ratings. Me, being lowkey naive and in a state of panic, decided to give them a call and this guy named Mike answered. At first, he seemed nice and told me that he would arrive at my place in like 30 minutes to do an assessment of the valve and quote me on a price. Ok cool.

On the phone, I told him that if he's doing a GPS search to look up the directions to my address, the directions by default will take him to the back of my house where the garage is. I told him that if he can, please park at the front of my house where there is available street parking. When he pulls up at my house he calls me and tells me that he's out back in front of my garage and that there was no parking out front (total lie btw). Ok whatever, right? So I go ahead and meet him out back and open my garage for him to come into my humble abode. Upon first impression of seeing this man's face, I already had a gut feeling he was not in the mood to be there and felt like I was such a nuisance to him all because he drove 30 minutes just to see this leak (Think: I am here to help you so you better be grateful and don't do anything to piss me off kind of demeanor). I then take him to the laundry room/powder room where the leak is happening and I tell him that the leak is happening in the back of the washing machine. He then takes a look and without hesitation, he immediately responds So this repair is going to cost $365 and both valves need to be replaced. WOAH SIR HOLD ON, WE ARE TALKING 365 ITEMS FROM THE DOLLAR MENU and 365 ARIZONA ICED TEAS HERE LIKE I AM SHOOKETH.

Ok, so first this guy lies about no parking available out front, comes in with an attitude, and then tries to overcharge me to rip me off?? Ok fine Mike, let's do the repair but i'm only going to repair the leaking valve and leave the other one as it is because you're not about to earn over $700 off of me. You're so lucky this situation is kind of bad and that I just want this fixed ASAP.

So once I agree to get the valve fixed, he leaves for about 20 minutes to get the new valve from somewhere in the area. He comes back and calls and asks again to open the garage. Sir, there are available parking spots out front, I am tired of giving you the VIP treatment of opening my garage for you when you clearly don't deserve it!

He comes back, does his thing and repairs the valve. When he is done, I then check to see if the valve is no longer leaking by turning on the washing machine. But during this time that i'm testing out the washing machine and the valve to make sure everything is going well, he snaps back and constantly asks me Are we done, are we done?? Umm, I need to make sure that everything is working and functioning properly to my heart's desire. It was, so then I proceed to pay him and kiss the $365 goodbye :(

So let's fast forward to later on that night. Look, i'm not sure if the water valve gods were against me that day but take a wild guess of what happened?? The other valve decided to leak but it wasn't as crazy at the one that was fixed (this time, it was the hot water valve). Omg. So I decided to call Mike again and tell him about the other valve that's now leaking. He then responds in a curt tone You told me you just needed that one valve fixed. If I come back, it's going to be another $365. This time, both me and my mom are on the phone and we both tell him that we will think about it since the leak was not that bad this time around and it can wait a few days (or at least when we find a plumber that will do it for way cheap). He then says Well hurry up and get back to me because it's getting late. Umm I don't think 8pm on a Saturday night is considered late, but ok pop off.

My mom and I ended up finding another plumber that would fix the valve for almost half the price we paid for this company, but we had to wait until the following week for them to come in and repair it (which was perfectly fine with us). I texted Mike later to let him know that we will no longer be needing his services and just leaves me on read. No ok, no other acknowledgement, no nothing. Alright then, peace out my dude.

To sum it up:

Quality of work - 4 stars
Customer Service - 1 star (really needs work)
Pricing - 1 star (overpriced, there are definitely plumbers out there that are more affordable)

John shows up on time with his crew and does quality work.  We had a hot water heater that went out and he came out on a Sunday to take care of it for us.

Awesome service. I had a botched home Depot dishwasher install and reached out late on a Friday afternoon in desperation. John got right back to me, worked around my toddler's bedtime and arrived promptly at the time we set. He was professional and personable, even wearing booties without being asked/prompted. He was quick in his repair, explained what he was doing and why, and even cleaned up after himself with a Clorox wipe!! Will be calling for any and all future needs without a doubt!!

On Mother's Day, we found a leak in our wall from our kitchen sink drain.  I called John at H&H, and he called me back pretty quick, especially since it was a holiday of sorts.  At my request, he made an appointment to come out early the next morning (he offered that night, but I declined, we just did not use our sink).  He showed up with his crew exactly when he said he would be there, he gave me a ball park estimate on the phone and ended up being cheaper than that.  He even left me a fitting with no extra charge to make it easy for my husband to hook the garbage disposal and trap back up to the new pipe.  Fixed it professionally, was very polite (even to my doggies!!!), and his crew was polite, and they cleaned up and you would have never known they were there.  Plumbing is working fine tonight, after my husband connected the appliances once he got home from work.  YAY!!!  What a fantastic experience.  Thanks a bunch, we are very happy.

The very best prompt service I could expect. Mike came out and gave me an estimate. He explained to me exactly what was wrong and what was needed. He did not hard sell me. He showed me what I could do before I made the expensive repair. I was so pleased with their service and his genuine manner. I will definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them

John was super friendly and knowledgeable upon first contact. he came to my rental property fully prepared and was great with my elderly relatives that live there. He even noticed that a pipe leak was on our property that we have been searching for for years and could not pin down. He will return with his camera to fix that problem also. He took my info over the phone and payment too so my very busy day could stay on track. A real find in the contracting world! Thank you John.

Read the entire review, they didn't do any work for us. We scheduled an appointment at 10am for someone to come fix a leak in our toilet. Was quoted $280 to come out, lift the toilet and reseal. Seemed expensive, but it was a sorta 911 situation so we scheduled it. I moved around my existing appointments to make the 10am work. 10am rolled around and nothing.. I looked back at the confirmation I received and it said the job was  at 10am and when I clicked to read more it showed the job from 10:00am-11:00am. I started thinking maybe they show up sometime between the window, but unfortunately 11:00am came and went and nobody showed up and no call. At 11:30am finally someone came, but by then we already had a plumber here who was able to fix the problem for $75. A fraction of the $280 we were quoted. Our time is so precious and we understand things happen and jobs run late, but it was really unprofessional to be over an hour late without any call or text. For the price we were going to pay I was really expecting 5* service.

We started to work with John recently for the following jobs:

1) the main valve in the front of the house was difficult to reach and below the soil. John rearranged the pipes and added an easy to turn valve for easy access. Wonderful job! Five of five stars!

2) the shower faucet (Delta from 2001) failed and I was unable to get replacement parts. After purchasing new shower faucets, John came over with his tile man and a few employees. Within a few hours, they were able to break down the tiles, replace the old valves and faucets, and seal it up again. John did an awesome job with his tile man! It's as if it was there all along. Five of five stars!

3) we wanted to change the kitchen faucet with a new one. No problem. John replaced it within a half an hour. Perfect job! Five of five stars.

Every job he and his staff has done was achieved with the utmost kindness, respect, and cleanliness. John is really knowledgeable and hard-working. I will definitely hire him again. Thank you, John and staff!

These guys were terrific!  We had another plumber out via our home warranty who ran a snake but actually made the problem worse.  They left saying they didn't have the right equipment  They said the snake they had was too big for our clean out (it was raining and the clean out was outside) and we needed a Hydro Jet.   They said they would call the warranty company and make it a rush.  Appprently they didn't and we went three days without our kitchen sinks and our dishwasher.

H&M came out within an hour and could have used a more expensive process that the previous plumber suggesting however that is not how they operate.  Complete  professional and fixed our issue with a standard snake.  Thank you H&M.  You will be highly recommended!

Came right out and in no time cleared the drain for our home. The bathtub had backed up and he wiped it down and sataized it. His information is going in my phone and he will be my first call from now on!

I'm not sure why these guys get 5-star ratings.  I've used them a few times and found them to be average but lacking in customer service and a thorough knowledge of plumbing. They might be ok (maybe a little pricey) for basic services but I would not use them for more serious issues.

I've had plumbing problems, three backups in four months, since I bought this old house.  H&M Plumbing came to seal a leaky toilet (I thought that's what the issue was when I was smelling sewer gasses in the house - what do I know?  I'm not a plumber) and only after I suggested he go under the house first to make sure the toilet was really the issue did he find that the sewer line had busted.  I put that in quotes because that's what he told me occurred.  He turned off the water and left the pipes open (so I couldn't use the bathrooms or faucets) then said the repairs would require digging a trench from my front yard through the house, breaking up my porch, and the cost would be in the ballpark of $15,000.  I almost fell over.  I know sewer line repairs are pricey but I've been unemployed for four months.  Lost my job right after buying this house so am nowhere in a position to pay $15,000.

I had to call a restoration company and pay some $1,000 to clean up the biohazard that had emptied out of the pipes into the crawl space (Bio Safety Clean - they were great) then had H&M come back to inspect the damage.  He then said it would cost around $10k and would take two days but that he couldn't do the work until after the weekend.  It was Friday afternoon and I'd been staying at a hotel for three nights because I had no working bathroom.  AND he charged me $189 just to go into the crawl space and get me an estimate (which I have yet to receive and it's been several days)!  I asked if there were any other options we could consider and he said no.

I called a few other plumbers but no one could come out the same day since it was so late.  Then I called and talked to Dustin at First Call Plumbing and Sewer Repair.  He asked a few questions over the phone (which no one else did) and gave me a few options for what they might be able to do (options running $300 and $500).  He said he'd be out the next day at 8:00am (on a Saturday, no less, and they don't work on Saturdays!) and that either way, they'd get my plumbing back up and running so that I could move back to the house until final repairs could be completed.  He gave me options that no one else suggested other than digging up my yard and charging me an astronomical amount I can't afford.  

After climbing into the crawl space, First Call said my sewer line had NOT broken (a cap had just come off); my sewer line was in good shape and did NOT need replacing; it was a broken toilet cap that had come off and gotten lodged in the sewer line; and they were able to complete the repairs under $1,000. AND they gave me a one-year guarantee that the plumbing would not back up.  If it does, they'll come fix it for free.  Who does that?  

If you get a quote for a major repair, do yourself a favor and call First Call for a second opinion. I won't use anyone else from now on. I saved potentially $14,000 and the cost of repairing my yard and porch. AND their customer service is amazing. It absolutely pays to check around.

I setup two separate appointments and he was a no show both times. He didn't text, call, or contact me in any way to let me know he couldn't make it.
It's frustrating when you take time off work and arrange child care for someone who isn't professional enough to keep their appointments or even communicate he won't make it.

My kitchen clogged and flooded so crazy last week.  I found H&M Plumbing from Yelp, I saw they're the only one have all 5 STARS for review services. Yes that's why I choice them for service.  They did replace new big sink and disposal for me.  They did very good job what I am request.  Mike, thank you to gave me the advise about DRANO   John, I hope you're feeling better, take care.

Friday evening, we discovered we had a dripping water heater. I found H&M on Yelp, called, and John picked up the phone immediately. He patiently listened, answered all my questions, offered options to slow the drip, and to even come over immediately if needed! John was knowledgeable, prompt, organized, honest, caring, thoughtful... this guy is a gem!  He set-up my new water heater replacement for years of trouble-free service! And, all while being reasonably-priced! Thanks John!

I reached out Sunday morning and had an appointment made same day. He was over within hours and fixed our leaking toilet. Great work and very knowledgeable! Will use him again if needed in the future.

We were in a pinch, having 6 guests stay with us who were arriving in 2 days!! Called up H&M Plumbing again and Mike showed up in under an hour. He gave his honest assessment and worked with the new pieces of the toilet we purchased so we wouldn't have to spend anymore money. He even found the right washer size for our bidet that we needed in his work van! Mike solved the problem, was courteous and cleaned up after himself. Relieved to have a local plumbing service I can rely on.

These guys are great! I couldn't have asked for a better crew to be working on our plumbing. It's a Father/Son local business & I am very impressed with their knowledge, their skill/quality work & their honesty. After calling around on prices we found that their price was very reasonable. I found out about them because my neighbor across the street had them over a week ago and was totally thrilled by the work they did at his house. If you need a plumber - H&M Plumbing is the way to go.

Honest. Courteous. Professional. Responsive. What's not to like?! And, it's a family owned business worth supporting.

Fast, Professional, and Extremely Honest.  Called at 4:30 PM on a Saturday and he came out after 6PM as requested.  Quickly diagnosed the issue and recommend the whole toilet be replaced instead of wasting half the replacement cost for a fix that wouldn't last 4 months.  That's integrity!  I will use definitely use him again.

We came back from a trip and found our kitchen sink completely clogged. I always use metal drain debris catchers but somehow both sinks were still filling up with water. When we ran the garbage disposal, it just made the other side of the double sink fill up more with dirty water. I called two other plumbers who had good reviews on Yelp and one was only available next week, and the other tomorrow evening, both closing at 6pm. This company is 24/7 and a plumber came out within one hour and fixed the issue in about half an hour, in addition to an upstairs bathroom sink that has been draining poorly despite using draino. This is the company that's always available when others aren't and they come out so fast and fix everything.

H & M Plumbing. We had a water main leak.  We called H & M and they responded promptly.  They troubleshooted the problem, and found a leak several feet underground.  They fixed it so we had water overnight and they returned promptly the next morning.  They replaced the problem pipe system and had us up and running within a few hours.  The employees were polite and considerate and cleaned up the job well before they left.   We felt their price was very reasonable as well.   We highly recommended them.

WOW, can you say speedy service or not? When I booked H & M Plumbing to come service our dishwasher today, John showed up in less than 30 minutes!! I was pleasantly shocked! I called H & M Plumbing for a quote to unclog our dishwasher drainage line and John was extremely fair with price and said he could head on over now. I was very impressed with his plumbing knowledge and he even taught me how to fix it in case it happened again! What plumber would do such a nice thing? John, of course! Discovered a strange noise and some water leaking from my water heater over the weekend!  Called H&M on Monday afternoon and they responded immediately!  I called them about 12:45 pm and by 4:30 pm not only had they diagnosed my problem but they went and bought everything I needed to install a brand new water heater and bring it up to state code (it was pretty old)  Glad I trusted the previous reviews given by other Yelpers! These gentlemen were very polite, affordable and explained every step along the way!  I'll definitely be giving H&M another call the next time I need a plumber!

Got a drain cleaning and new toilet installed. Then came back to readjust the water line to fix a leak. Great service and communication the whole way. Andrew was great!

Our water heater went out in the middle of dinner service, call H&M and the rushed out to access the problem. We had to replace our old water heater, they got us a new one quick and installed it without us losing out on any business. These guys are life savers and highly recommend them, great work and honest people.

Thank goodness for customer driven businesses like this one.  Found this business last minute while waiting for Roto Rooter to come out and fix a broken water main.  Somebody decided it would be smart to make it out of PVC pipe and the 45 elbow piece was being pulled loose and the pressure of the water was further separating it. Anyways, I called Roto at 130pm and they gave me a 5-7pm service window. At 430 they call and say they're gonna be delayed past 8pm. I called this business around 5 pm and by 730pm, John had already come by and fixed the pipe. Roto didn't get back to me til 9pm. Thank you to John and his coworker for the fast and efficient customer service, I appreciate it!

Our kitchen sink drains got clogged, Although I opened the pipes up I couldn't put them. This company not only responded promtly but were there within couple of hours. With all precautions for COVID in place. he was able to fix the issue and seemed very knowledgable about how to do things right.

Those 5 star reviews have to be fake or bought. There's literally no way this company legitimately has that many positive reviews. Especially when you actually read the negative ones.
We had them come out for an estimate because our toilet is leaking under the linoleum. You can feel the water squishing underneath and the linoleum is warped.
I walked him into the back bedroom where the bathroom is.
He asked if water was leaking out onto the floor when I flushed my toilet. I told him no. He stated at me all weird like I was lying and then asked are you SURE?  Yes, I'm sure. He didn't bother to flush the toilet to see that water wasn't leaking out all over the floor. He just stood there acting weird.
He then tells me it must be from my dogs urinating around my toilet. WHAAAAT???? Who says that? My dogs are never in that part of the house, and there's clearly no urine around the toilet. Never once have my dogs ever even been back in that part of the house.
That, coupled with the overwhelming smell of weed coming off the guy was enough to ask him to leave. No thank you. It's 9am buddy. If you need to wake and bake, that's fine. But maybe stick to doing that on your days off. Horrible experience and it's looking like we dodged a bullet based on the other negative reviews.

Our main drain got clogged on a Saturday night. I sent H&H a message via Yelp and received a response with 10 minutes. The offered to come right out... but, I thought maybe it will clear overnight. Sunday morning arrived with the main line still clogged so I contacted them again and got another immediate response. They said we will be right there...

Wow. I was super impressed with their responsiveness!!!!

it is after 8pm and John is out cleaning the main.  He is the only plumber who answers the phone and came out after hours. What a life saver.   I highly recommend this business and it's 24 hour service!

These guys were great. My main water line broke on a Sunday on a holiday weekend and they were out to my house within 10 minutes of calling them. They patched it up until they could fix it and everything went really smoothly. I will call them back if I need anymore plumbing help.

We had an irrigation disaster on a Sunday night (midnight), and John responded and came over quickly. He stopped the damage, and then returned to do the permanent fix. This included a miracle welding job. Really nice guy. A true problem solver.

They deserve all the stars available!   We had a broken pipe and had to find a plumber late in the day!    Picked them because of their Yelp reviews!     They responded immediately and got it fixed so quickly.   Hopefully we won't need a plumber again soon but these are the ones we will call!  Thank you!

Two stars for the prompt appointment and free estimate, but H & M had the most disappointing customer service I have experienced this month and I do NOT recommend them for basic services such as garbage disposal or sink repair.

As for my experience with H & M,

Two gentlemen came out to our residence in EDH and took one minute to glance at our sink before spouting off huge numbers at my boyfriend. One of them took a flashlight and looked under the sink, and immediately the other said we needed to replace both the garbage disposal and faucet. I'd like to note they touched NOTHING, just glanced. In addition, he said we should get a bigger garbage disposal because it's obvious we like to cook (our kitchen is huge).

We already recieved estimates from other businesses, ranging from 300-399. $600 plus dollars was ridiculous and we politely declined their services.

Having a leaking sink and broken garbage disposal is stressful, and we did not appreciate the lack of care, empathy, or concern.

Now, we decided to go with P.J Plumbing and I ABSOLUTELY highly recommend this gentleman for all your plumbing needs. He was able to fit us into his schedule despite being booked until the end of the month, and checked out our garbage disposal the next day after H & M disappointed us.

After vacuuming the inside of the garbage disposal and cleaning it out, he was confident it did not need to be replaced and it was good as new! In addition, he said he would charge a flat fee of $120 for labor in our NEXT visit, since he said our faucet had a life time warranty and we could have a new one sent to us for free. He saved us hundreds of dollars and earned a lifetime customer.

John is very friendly and punctual. 3 stars because it was $250 to roto root my main, that rooter hero just charged $77 for the exact same job. H & M plumbing was the best company that I came across in my 19 years of managing my own properties in the Sacramento county area. Mike was very responsive, kind and very helpful. Any question that I had, he was very politely answered and explained. He is very knowledgable, kind and very hard worker. He came to check my water heater tank in my rental unit if it needed repair or replacement and gave me his honest opinion. He said that nothing that he saw was non working or leaking. The only little part that was off, was the pilot light that he right away lighted for me and didn't charge me any thing for his estimate when he came after hours, in a very short notice and still didn't ask for any evaluation/ diagnosis from me to pay. That was very generous and kind of him to offered and I'll always will take him for major repairs or replacement if I'll need in the future. Since it wasn't an emergency repair that I had to do, I decided to wait until I'll need the water heater to replace and will go with his professional opinion and ability to do it. He was very helpful in his suggesting how to handle it & gave me excellent advice of what to look for in case of a major issue. He is beyond just a professional plumber that really knows what he is doing. He is educator, very good listener and problem solver. He really made my day with his great advice and tips that he gave me of what to look for in my particular problem. I'll highly recommend him to any body I know that looking for honest, prompt and knowledgable plumber that will do the job right in the first time. I can't thank Mike enough for all the help he gave me and will definitely hire him in the future for all my plumbing's need. Amidst installing my new water heater my boyfriend accidentally messed up the water pipe. I called and H&M plumbing came right away. He was able to do such a great job and also gave us some pointers on how to correct install issues so we could install the new water heater safely. He was so polite and very very professional. The price was reasonable and I loved the fact that he treated this as an urgent issue and was available asap. My first home repair was such a great headache but the one time i knew things couldn't go wrong was when he was fixing the pipes! THANK YOU!

Quick response - we called at around noon on a Saturday and the work was  completed by 3:00. It wasn't a complex job, but I was very impressed with Mike's quality of work and his willingness to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. I would 100% recommend using them.

I tried to replace the cartridge to the shower valve but ended up twisting the entire valve assembly off.  As a result, water in entire house was off and needed to get it back on ASAP.

H&M was the first to respond to my request for quote and they came out immediately! About an hour and 45 minutes later they had a new fixture installed and the water back on. They even cleaned out the tub drain as a courtesy!

Can't say enough about H&M. Our kitchen sink backed up around 5:00pm on a Monday afternoon. I thought about waiting overnight to get it fixed but started making calls to get an appointment. John at H&M answered the phone and said he could come out as soon as he finished the job he was on. He kept me updated on his progress and showed up at our house about an hour later. He analyzed the problem, we talked briefly, he took the job and fixed the problem very quickly. It turned out to be a little more difficult job  than he had expected but he stuck with his original estimate despite the extra effort involved. Especially considerate about cleanliness, shoe covers, gloves, masks etc. impossible to tell they'd been in the house when they left. He and assistant Mario were  professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Really outstanding service! I'll never use another plumbing service!

My toilet and shower was overflowing with raw sewage. After the city came to check the lines to see if it was their fault, it was not. I panicked and quickly found this local plumber via yelp. I have mixed feelings about this review. On one hand I did call them to come to my home and replace a shower diverter valve and agree to the price. However where I messed up was not doing enough research and realizing I could have been the one to do the same 15 minutejob and save $250.

Our main sewer line got clogged on the 4th of July at 5pm. H & M Plumbing answered our emergency call, coming over within an hour. John was polite over the phone and even called back to say his son will be over in 20 minutes. Mike showed up within quoted time and snaked our drain and got us flowing again. He was very professional even on a holiday when he should have been home bbqing with his family.

Called 5 plumbers and no one could come that day for my main water line that was broken. We had no running water on the house. H and M came that afternoon and worked until 9:30pm to try to get a temporary fix. They finished up the next morning and even corrected the main line shut off valve. Great service and we appreciate them working late to help us get water restored to our house.

I had a very backed up drain in my shower and called at 6:15 in the morning on a Wednesday. John answered right away and told me he could come out at 10:00 that morning. In the meantime, we were able to snake the drain and clear the clog. I called to cancel just 45 minutes before John was scheduled to show up and was nervous about what I would be charged for the last minute cancellation, but also understood and was willing to cover whatever that fee might be. John was incredibly gracious, said there would no charge at all, and was just happy our plumbing issue was solved. I initially called H&M plumbing due to a clog I had. They came out within 30 minutes, unclogged it and everything was flowing again.

Fast forward to today. I had another clog and thinking because it was so soon, it must be roots or something (I have a large Sequoia outside my house). I had another company come and use a camera to see what was going on. Basically, another plumber from before I owned the house (I've lived here for 3 months), snaked from inside the home, and left the tip of the snake inside a pipe underneath my hallway.

The other company quoted me and told me they'd have to dig through my brand new floor and the concrete foundation. I called H&M for another quote and John said he'd be there to check it out and he was sure he could get it out.

They showed up after about 30-45 minutes, immediately went in and after about 30 minutes of working at it, pulled the thing out without having to tear apart my floor. Now my plumbing is flowing again and I can use my master bathroom.

If I could give John and H&M plumbing 10 stars I would. This is an amazing company and I would use them again and again.

Leaking kitchen faucet, H & M took care of it including picking up a new faucet to install.  I'm very happy with the service.

We had a clogged drain.  Turned out it was a grease buildup that had clogged the pipe 30-40 feet down the line.  When I called I fully expected to get the We'll be there in two days between 8 and 5, response.  As it turned out, they dispatched a truck the same morning.  Actually about the same hour.  Mike arrived and was very presentable and professional.  In less than 30 minutes he had the clog in the pipe cleared and it was fully operational again.  Then, to my surprise, he brought in his own cleaning supplies and cleaned the little mess he had made (clearing a drain is not a clean and easy thing).  Saying that I was impressed is an understatement.

H&M plumbing is hands down the best plumbing business in the area! I contacted H&M several months back when I was fighting with my home warranty company over a pipe leak.

John came right over, properly diagnosed the leak and gave me a fair price to fix. The two other plumbers sent out by my home warranty company said 1) the pipes were under manufacture recall and refused to fix (this was a lie), and 2) they needed to remove a bunch more pipes to get to the leaking one, at a cost of at least $1000! John dropped by my home a total of three times(absolutely free of charge!) to investigate my leak, and help me disprove the erroneous diagnosis from the other plumbers.  

When John showed up to fix my problem, in 30 minutes he did what at least three other plumbers said was impossible. Another 60 minutes later and I had my shower working again after over two months of back and forth with my home warranty company. I really appreciate John and his business, and I will definitely be calling on him again if the need arises.

They saved the day! Our toilets stopped flushing and they came out, found the cleanout that was buried in a flowerbed and got us rolling again. The extra special complication is that my wife and I are recovering from covid.

Launching fireworks on Independence Day, and I discovered a little-used outdoor valve that had been leaking for some time (no wonder that part of the garden was so green!). Anyway, one call to H&M got me the appointment slot that worked best for me. One small hiccup before arrival was promptly handled, and the work was done quickly and for the absolute lowest price possible. We won't hesitate to call H&M for any future plumbing issues - and you shouldn't either!

Timely, efficient, reliable, honest and courteous.  Called H&M Plumbing for my last 6 plumbing jobs or problems and had nothing but excellent service. I highly recommend them.

My sewer line was backed up so I called this company, the guy said he would send his son over to give me a quote. When the son gets there he says he cant find the clean out and I would have to pay $350 for him to go on the roof to find the clean out with the camera and $289 to clear the sewer line once it was found and if I didn't have a clean out it would cost $1500 to install one. He said he was going to his truck to get a ladder instead he got in his truck and left. I called his father and said I wanted to think about the quote he gave to be polite. I called another company who came out the next day found the clean out in a matter of minutes and cleared my sewer line for $99 and provided a free camera inspection.

Our garbage disposal had an issue. H&M came in and fixed it within 20 mins of initial contact via Yelp. Awesome service, very courteous and safe (wore gloves, N95 mask and booties). I would highly recommend H&M.

John and his apprentice are awesome! He was extremely responsive, came on time (even 5 minutes early), made sure to shut the doors to keep the cats in since they were in and out of the house a lot, kept their project clean in the kitchen, and got the job done quickly. All of this at 6 pm on a rainy night. Very respectful guy, good at his job, and trustworthy. I definitely will be calling them again.

Best plumber ever!! We had our downstairs toilets clog and water back up in the bathtubs. I called several other places who all told me they were booked for the weekend and would not be able to come out until a few days later. John came out within 30 minutes of me calling!! He knew where the drain was even before ringing the doorbell and got to work immediately. Reasonable price too.

I had a broken sewer line and they diagnosed it the same day, temporarily repaired it, and then started the main work 2 days later. They were able to do their work by cutting only a few feet out of the driveway, saving me money on driveway reconstruction. When they accidentally cut one of my sprinkler lines, they came the very next day to repair it. Great overall experience.

I have used this company twice. Once during an emergency toilet issue, on the second floor with water leaking from recessed lighting on first floor. They responded immediately. I had had another company out and they didn't fix the issue completely. The owner is so nice and very knowledgeable. In the  business for 40 years. An expert. I also called them for routine maitence on water heater and dishwasher instillation. Everything was completed expeditiously and professionally.  Fair pricing.

Called H&M around 6pm today had an emergency leak from my tub and toilet .
They sent Jon out and he was there in 30 minutes.
He diagnosed the problem right away and with in 25 minutes was done . Real quick.

I can't begin to express how grateful My wife and I are for the excellent work these guys did on our plumbing project. Our first night in our new home became a disaster when sewage backed up into the shower while using it. We were horrified. We found this company on yelp and called immediately. John came out around 11pm to trouble shoot. He was extremely pleasant to work with. Him and his son came the next morning and snaked our vents and kitchen clean out. Unable to remedy the clog him and his son installed a two way clean out drain on the main house line. They dug out a Trench to access the pipe and completed the project and in minimal time we were able to use our facilities. They even installed sod to patch up the yard. John was extremely fair in pricing and went above and beyond in professionalism while completing the work. I will definitely keep his number on speed dial for future events. I highly recommend his family owned company for any and all jobs related.

Just moved into a home in Aug 2022, found at least 3 leaks, in 3 different places. Reported it to the landlord within 2 days, and 5 days later the landlord comes to the house with Mike from H&M plumbing, who apparently could not locate a leak if it was emanating on his foot.

The plumber never asked me any questions about where I saw the leaks, or what was happening, etc. Even though he saw no leaks, he replaced items on the back of the toilet (where water damage was obviously present) But then claimed  nothing was wrong. Days later I am given a receipt from my landlord from H&M plumbing for $500, even though no leaks were found and the only work performed was a valve change. (not sure why the valve change was necessary if he didn't find anything) Mike the plumber even stated there was no leak coming from a sliding glass door. Which is weird because the video showed otherwise, and Mike isn't a contractor, so why he would use his professional plumbing opinion on carpentry is also peculiar. But who knows, ‍Mike could be multi-skilled in the art of lack of detection.

Fast forward to 09/09/22 same leaks are still causing issues in the kitchen, bathroom, and sliding glass door. (Did I forget to also mention the water heater) I call GoPro plumbing and they find everything without an issue, explain what's causing the leaks, and even found some potential issues I didn't know about. Surprisingly the evaluation & estimate with repairs were far more reasonable than what H&M charged for their estimate and failure to find anything.

Lastly, if we ignore how unofficial this receipt looks, my favorite part is Mike's description of the equipment as old drippy angle stop  and how pictures of Mike working on nothing and looking for leaks by spraying a hose at a window truly help me laugh through this situation.

We had sewage backed up in our garage sink.  H & M was my second phone call and he answered.  I explained the problem and he arrived within 10 minutes on the Saturday before Labor Day.  The problem was solved within 15 minutes.  These guys are my Go To for all plumbing needs going forward.

They responded to my yelp request within 10 min.
The job was completed in a timely fashion. (Clogged drain from washer going under the house from back of house to front.)
He gave a recommendation as to how to clear the clog (high pressure water). I told him our pipes are old and asked if this may damage them. He said it might so he used a snake, so I appreciated that he took the time to discuss options.
It would seem the price was average. I got a similar quote from another company.
He followed covid guidelines by wearing a mask.

There was a misunderstanding regarding how to communicate my address for the job and consequently it delayed when it was done and unfortunate consequences for me.  However, when I expressed disappointment, the owner contacted me without delay, was very apologetic and offered a discount that was generous.

This company is very customer service oriented and they want do everything in their power to make sure their clients are happy.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Of course the main sewer line would break on New Year's Day! Finding a plumber open on a holiday is tough, so I was happy when H&M picked up and said they'd be out later that afternoon. Plumber called me around 4:00 and said he was delayed with another customer's job (understandable ) and wouldn't make it out until first thing the next am. When he didn't show, I called, and got his dad (family business). Dad clearly had to wake up his son and he came 2 hours later, looked at the valve for 5 minutes and declared it would be $2200 to fix. Got a little huffy when my BF wanted a little more explanation. I was desperate (no toilet facilities) and agreed. Plumber said he'd have a team out first thing next morning to begin. When he didn't show by 10 am, I called and left several messages on VM. No response, so I called another company, and left a message w/ H&M cancelling his service.The new plumber came out right away and started working on the problem. I finally heard back from H&M plumber. Said his phone died and that he'd been working on a hot water tank install and didn't get my messages. First, if this is a business phone, you don't let it die. Second, I asked him why he'd been installing a water heater, when he was supposed to have a crew at my house first thing that morning. Mind you, I'd been w/o a toilet for 3 days. By the way, the other guy was just finishing. His quote was the same, but he ended up taking $400 off at the end, due to being an easier fix than anticipated.

My guess is that this is a family business being passed down to a plumber's son who really isn't interested. If he keeps doing business this way, his wish will be granted. I can't speak to his work, b/c he never got to the job, but I can vouch for poor communication and unreliability. It also cost me valuable time before the problem was resolved.

H&M great service  always on time and they do great work. They always go extra step to do great work. We have use them at 4 projects and we will get using there company.

Finally, an honest group I can rely on. John was super helpful with explaining what the problem was with my plumbing and gave me some good tips as well as a very fair price compared to some other quotes I got that were almost double. Definitely recommend H&M if you're looking for honest and quality work.

My tenant called me freaking out about her toilet clogging with sewage backing up into the shower and water everywhere so I called about 5 plumbers and being a holiday most were either busy or closed. I called H&M Plumbing and John answered and said he'd be there within 30 mins. And he was! Within 5 mins of snaking a line down the main it was unclogged. We heard a gurgling in the toilet and it was cleared. He then snaked the line to the street to make sure that was clear too and it was. Considering how quickly he arrived, how quickly he fixed the issue and being a holiday, I'm happy to pay extra to get the job done and make the tenant happy. The whole transaction was so easy! John and Michael are great.  They first came to my rescue during a sewage emergency.  I've used them many times since.  They do good quality honest work.  They have old school values that I feel like are in short supply these days.  Highly recommend.

I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks now for a hot water heater to be fixed and meanwhile have been without hot water. it's impossible to get anyone on the phone but always goes to an answering machine. I would NOT recommend this plumbing company. They are unresponsive and seem to think that a broken water heater isn't important. avoid this company at all costs.

I recently purchased  a rental property , all the faucets in the house were damaged and needed to be replaced ASAP.  Called 2 other plumbers the prices they were quoting where too high and attitudes where even worse , called H& M plumbing, and John was amazing , a true craftsman in his trade , very thorough with everything he was doing and didn't cut corners to finish the job fast. An odd plumbing experience. The knob on our shower broke. I called H&M Plumbing. They sent a plumber out and he spent about 5 minutes checking it. He said he could order knob but it would take a few weeks. On his way out, he said the price would be $375. I figured there would be a lot of work to replace it, cutting pipes, soldering, etc.

A couple of weeks later, the plumber called and said the part was in and he could replace it the next day. He arrived on time and screwed the handle in. Just one screw. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.

I paid him with no problem, since I had agreed to it originally. Hey, my mistake for not asking for details. I did question him about the amount being so high for a few minutes work. He snapped back that I had agreed to it, which I already said when I asked him why it was so high. The knob was $120, which means the visits to my home were about $125 each.

I agreed to the price and I paid it, again since I agreed to it during his first visit. I always keep my word. The knob is fine. But I will not be using this company again. A little pricey for me.

The emailed invoice simply said replace knob, $375. They didn't break it down to parts and labor. Never had a tradesman give me an invoice like that.

I am very happy with their work and will use them again if I have any plumbing problems. I got a very fast response via messaging thru the yelp app. Mike was able to come that same day and arrived when he said he would. I got my bath tub declogged; snake cleaned out. He was fast and professional. He also was kind enough to tighten my toilet tank which he noticed was loose free of charge. Thank you Mike for your speedy response and service.

I called H&M after searching yelp reviews. From the time I first called I had a tech show up and repair our backup from our washer drain all in under an hour. Fast, friendly service and price was reasonable. Would definitely use again.

John is the man, his son is cool too. I called to have a new gas line installed. I was skeptical because of the low price but I was so happy with his service I ended up using him for all my plumbing repairs:

2 new toilet sleeves
new waterline for double vanity
new waterline for washer
new gas fittings for furnace and water heater
Replumbed kitchen sink and diahwasher

He even brought over 3 guys to help install my 48inch stove and he connected me with a glass shower door installer and another guy to install 10 new doors and a tile guy. Very happy with the outcome. Its too bad I am out of repaires. He is my go to guy.

I had two valves replaced and to top it off, the owner helped me clean up the electrical wiring for my sprinkler system at no additional charge. The pricing for the work (including parts and labor) was reasonable in my opinion.

I first called them out on July 11th. It was a Sunday and I was happy to get a prompt response and same day appt. An older gentleman came over to look at the issue we were having. He was very nice, so I was happy I chose them. A valve on our automatic pool filler, broke off and before shutting the water off to it, water was spraying out at super high pressure. They took the part and told me they would be back to replace it. I reached out again July 25th, no response. Then again on July 26th. They tell me they're waiting for the supplier. I asked if I could get the part back so I could have someone else come out and fix it. My request was ignored. I reach out again this am, August 2nd, again asking can I please get the part back so we can get this fixed. No response. Read my message, but didn't care to respond.

I can't judge their work, because we couldn't get that far.

John did great work. He came within an hour of me calling, thank God because we had a good sized leak in our wall that I was freaking out about. He fixed it right away and was really knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Hopefully I won't need plumbing work done again but if I do I'm calling him for sure!

It never fails when I need a plumber or when one of my BFF's needs a plumber, or when the dishwasher hook-up for my sister started leaking, John of H&M and his crew is always there to help me. Not only is he a very nice man, but he is one awesome, non-stop, hardworking plumber and he can fix anything. He was even able come up with a fix to an upstairs remodel relocation of a toilet for us. I totally recommend his company for your plumbing needs.

We contacted John about a clogged sewer line affecting the master bathroom. What a relief H&M were to resolve my plumbing problem: tree roots blocking the main line. The came out promptly, within a half hour and fixed the problem quickly at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them for any and all plumbing issues.

I woke up to a disaster 3am to my toilet over Flowing and  Mike From H&M Plumbing arrived in 60 to 90 minutes
And was quick to unclog the Main Sewer Drain.

I called Sunday night for help after turning on the shower and noticing bubbles coming up through the toilet. Then both showers and the second toilet started flooding. I let our guy know what was happening and he came within an hour and a half. Gave us our quotes of what he thought was happening.
