I recently hired EV Charger Expert to install my Tesla Wall Connector and handle the permit process and inspection. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with their expertise and professionalism in the field of EV charger installations.

I over-research, so if you want a way-too-detailed review from someone who contacted 18 electricians for quotes and information, this is that kind of review. (But if you want a shortened version, just read this next sentence: EVChargerExpert is the best electrician in the East Bay to install an EV charger.)

In October 2022, in anticipation of my 2023 Tesla Model Y being delivered, I messaged literally every electrician on Yelp who states they will install EV chargers in the San Leandro area. Of those, I received a mixed-bag of responses: 1 doesn't actually service my area; 2 made appointments but didn't show up (not cool); and 6 stopped responding at some point during the process (that was rather unprofessional).

In San Leandro, permits are legally required when installing an EV charger. Of course, if you don't get a permit, there's likely the chance the city may never find out. However, for safety and legality, I wanted an electrician who would do the entire permit process for me. 2 electricians told me they would not help with obtaining permits, so I decided not to use their services. And on that note, I'd like to say that 2 other electricians provided incorrect information: 1 said that permits aren't required, and 1 said that I can't get a permit until I have the car keys in hand (I contacted the City of San Leandro and the representative stated, This is the first time I hear this. The city does not verify a vehicle has been purchased before issuing an ev charger permit).

So one by one, I eliminated electricians in my process to find the best one. The next up on the chopping board were those with unreasonably high quotes, including two with high installation quotes that did not include permits: 1 asked for $1,685 and another asked for $1,550.  Two others asked for $2,100 and $1,990 with permits included, which weren't too bad, but were still on the expensive end.

Finally, we arrive at EVChargerExpert. I communicated with Kirill primarily via Yelp's messaging system. He was very flexible with the scheduling, despite it being obvious his company has a lot of customers. Everything was stated upfront in writing, including the exact cost of $1,445 (no additional fees or taxes whatsoever) and what the installation would entail. I asked Kirill what would happen if the permit fees end up higher than he expects, and he said the price he charges me would not change. (Spoiler alert: The permit fees were unexpectedly high, but Kirill was a man of his words and he did not ask for more money.) Furthermore, there is a 1-year warranty on the installation; of the 18 electricians, only 2 of them offered warranties.

On installation day, Erin arrived at my house to check out the area. Because of how my garage is set up, he actually needed additional materials, and it was raining very hard that morning, so he requested to return to do the job. (He would have done it in the rain, but I said I don't mind waiting for the sake of his safety, which he appreciated.) He returned that afternoon after the rain subsided and after he bought additional materials - I was not charged for these materials. The installation itself went smoothly and lasted approximately an hour. Erin is an easy-going and knowledgeable person who answered my dumb questions, which was super nice of him.

A few weeks later, Kirill and the city inspector checked out the installation for approximately 10 minutes, I received a permit, and that was the end of this saga. I have since been charging my Tesla Model Y for nearly a month without issues whatsoever.

I highly recommend EVChargerExpert and am very happy I went with them for the installation of a Tesla Wall Connector. I like Kirill and Erin and this company so much that I wanted to use them for other electrician services, but their sole focus at this time is EV charger installations, at which they are pros.

Working with both Kirill and Erin during the installation was easy and better than I could have expected. We had a difficult installation with the electrical panel being more than 100ft from the detached garage in which the charger was to be installed. Erin was very accommodating in discussing options, opportunities, and a solution that would get it done without a significant impact to the budget. He even worked through the rain and wind to get it done on time as promised! Kirill was fantastic to work with as well on scheduling and completing the permit process. I would absolutely recommend these guys and will use them again when the opportunity arises.

Great install of a Tesla wall charger in my home.  Kirill was super fast to respond to my initial request, and the technician who performed the install did an amazing job and was very professional.  The permit sign-off went smoothly and without incident.  I'd highly recommend EVCharger Expert to anyone.

Kirill is a straightforward, easygoing, and respectable person.  The time he took to help answer all the questions I asked was thorough and informative.  He explained everything that was addressed without hesitation.  The process of sending him an estimated diagram of where the charger will be installed and sending pictures of the electrical panel was seamless.
As for Erin, he installed the sub panel, copper wires, and the EV charger.  He had a cleaner and more direct route to run the wires versus the route that I initially drew up.  With that being said, I am very pleased with how the installation went.
Overall, it was a pleasure getting to know Kirill and Erin.  Both provide excellent customer service and are professional with their work.

Easy process with Kirill who takes the time to help us get what we requested. He wanted to make sure we passed inspection and I really wanted a nema 14-50 installed. At first glance, my older model electrical box looked maxed out. After the seasoned technician Erin came out to look, he was able to move many wires around safely and fit a 50amp gfci breaker switch on there! They setup our city inspection for Daly City, came out in a couple of weeks, and we passed! Real professionals and placed the plug right where we wanted it.

I highly recommend their work. They do not cut corners or push you into something that you don't want done. Remember that these guys are Certified electrician and not just EV installers that charge a little less, but lack the electrician license. Great guys at EVCHARGER!

I hired EVChargerExpert to install a charger in my garage.  A number of electrical issues in my rental home were uncovered during the first visit; resulting in a new quote.  Both Kirill and Erin worked quickly to offer solutions to the issues.  Erin did a fantastic job on the electrical work.  The project was completed the same week it was planned.  I highly recommend EVChargerExpert.

I had a great expereince with EVChargerExpert, both Kirill and Erin are knowledgeable and professional. Kirill was very responsive to my initial inquiry and subsequent questions, and handled all of the permitting behind the scenes - something refreshing to me as I usually have to be very involved in the process. To obtain an estimate from this company, I was asked to provide detailed pictures and drawings of my electrical panel, etc.  The quote I received was for $3,194.00 for a super simple install that looked trivial even for me to complete (the quote did not include the charger which I had already bought by then).  To install my new L2 charger, I then hired a licensed electrician via HomeAdvisor, mostly to comply with the code and to save my time. And had the same job completed in 40 minutes for $350.

This team is fantastic. They did a great job on installing Tesla charger at my home in Alameda. The electricity part was quite tricky at my home but they figured out and also fixed unsafe and old pipes. Inspection was smooth. Thank you!

The wire only can deliver maximum 100 amp to the house and we used up almost all of it on the paper. I need to add a NEMA 14-50 in the garage for newly purchased Tesla. I quoted with multi companies, EVChargerExpert is the only company to use the power management unit to solve the power consumption quota issue. The project started in August, Kirill patiently helped me in applying permit from city through emails. Back and forth several times for the permit, then my vacation, Erin finally came to my house to install the NEMA14-50 with PMU in November. Erin did excellent job on the installation and explained how the system works to me clearly. I had a urgent meeting coincidentally with his time to shut off house power for hooking up the PMU to the main box, he patiently waited for me to finish my meeting, then continue his work. I had a small requirement to change the installation a little bit, Erin came back to my house on the another day for the change.  
I appreciate and highly recommend their work, as another review indicated, they are very professional and do not cut corners. And their price is also very competitive.

This a long overdue review...late last year my wife and I bought a Honda Clarity and with my job moving to Dublin from Oakland, I knew that I needed a faster way to charge the car.

they worked through it did an excellent hardwired install using a smart technology using a voltage regulator unit so we wouldn't have to involve the power company and excess fees associated with a large project for our Ev vehicle installation.

I had a great experience with Kirill and his partner Erin. They were able to schedule the installation very quickly and even though it was a big job that had some complicating factors (condo, new electric panel required, etc) - they got the work done in one day and had all the permitting completed within days.

Everyone as extremely responsive and helped me understand what my options were. The work had to be done to a high standard since this was work done at a condo with approval needed by the HOA and they met the bar.

My experience was great -In every aspect! I actually shopped around quite a bit before choosing EVCharger Expert. The installation for my condo unit was not that straightforward (it required a controller + connection from the main panel).

EVCharger Expert stood out from the rest. Kirill was very knowledgeable from the beginning and offered an optimal proposal to the unique requirements of my condo unit. Kirill responded to all my inquiries within minutes (text, email), and was always a few steps ahead of me when it comes to preparing the documents (permit and drawings). The entire process seemed so effortless.

Erin and Justin who did the installation were very professional. Looking at how they executed together, it was very clear that they have been doing this many many times. Controller installation from the main panel? No problem. Concrete wall? No problem. Recommending the best charger location? No problem. Their quote to simply move an existing NEMA10-30 outlet 15 ft was more expensive than what others quoted for a full install with 20-30 ft cabling. Quite ridiculous.

I have a pretty balanced record of positive and negative reviews for contractors I work with. Apparently, a free consult via email (which almost all contractors provide) constitutes an obligation for me to remain silent about pricing. Feel free to get your own quotes and decide for yourself if more than $1000 to move a NEMA 10-30 plug 15 ft is a reasonable number.

Kirill and his team were great. They were honest about what it was going to cost and the issues I had to deal with due to prior electrical installations and when they came onsite, they helped me save money too. They were punctual, polite, and professional. Not the cheapest option but worth it for the peace of mind. All they do is EV charger installations and they do it right.

I needed an EV CHARGER placed in my garage. I live in a complex where my main panel is in front of the house. The front of my house is the courtyard. So I had to run a line from the front of my house all the way to the back of the house where the garage is located. I had 3 other electricians come to my house to ask them how to do this. They all could not figure out how to run a line over my house, or around my house, or through my house. Erin was the only guy who came up with a way to run a line. He requested that I get a drywall guy to come and figure out the best way to run a line through my house to save on materials. They did a great job on my house and new 240v Charger.

Contacted this company to install a Tesla charger in my house based on all the positive Yelp reviews, and they did not disappoint. Initial communication with Kirill was detailed, professional, and timely. The installer Erin came out on time and installed the charger on the outside of my house in under 2 hours, and he completely cleaned up any debris after completion. He thoroughly went over the installation and any follow up services that the company does in case issues arise down the road.

Fantastic experience with EVChargerExpert installing our Porsche Taycan EV charger. After connecting via Yelp, I submitted information about the project via email and received a quote which included city permits. We scheduled a site visit then installation. Our garage is a separate building from our home and the project entailed installing a new sub panel, running the line through a crawl space then underground to the garage and installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet, as well as mounting the charging unit. After suffering through a few weeks of using just a regular wall plug to charge my new EV (and, like most of us, I'm not even driving much right now!), I decided it was worth it to get a level 2 charger installed.  I found EVChargerExpert on Yelp, and I liked that installing chargers is their specialty, and they had a lot of great reviews.  The reviews were spot on, and they were great!

I had multiple conversations with Kirill, who handles the business and scheduling end, and he helped me to figure out which charger made the most sense for my situation.  I'm in a condo and have only a 100 amp panel, so I had limitations to what I could put in, but we wound up going with the ClipperCreek HCS-40 along with a load management system to ensure that I'm not overwhelming the panel or impacting what's available to our place.  So far it's working great, getting the full amperage (37-38 miles per hour vs. the paltry 4-5 miles per hour with the regular outlet) and not causing any issues.  Instead of having to charge as soon as I'm home, I can wait to start until midnight and still be full by morning.  Kirill also made sure to point out all of the potential incentives for going EV.  

The install was done by Erin, and he did great work.  The setup of the meters made it challenging, but he figured it out, and the install looks great.  He was friendly and professional and followed all of the COVID protocols, and despite a long day (along with the meter setup, he had to run through a storage room before getting to my garage) he stayed to make sure that it was working properly and answer all of my questions.

Overall, I'm happy with the work they did, and a lot of the range anxiety that I had is gone.  Now I can put a lot of miles on the car and be back out again the next day instead of waiting 30 hours to get back to full charge!

Yes, hire EVChargerExpert. From scoping to implementation, this company is efficient and very pleasant to work with. They are prompt and communicate well.

Before they even came to our house, they asked the right questions about the job, developed a bid quickly then confirmed the estimate with a house visit.  In addition, their bid was half the cost of bids we received from other companies and it included permit costs. They completed the job on time and on budget and the work easily passed the city's inspection. I would hire them again, no hesitation.

Long story short - the guys at EVChargerExpert blew my expectations through the roof from beginning to end when they installed my Tesla wall charger.  Kirill was dead on in terms of getting the information and pictures he needed to give me a quote and Erin brought the technical skills to not only install the charger but have it look better than anything I could have imagined as I needed an installation that required just as much art skills as science skills.  Not only did EVChargerExpert beat out all of the other contractors I contacted in terms of price, they also excelled in terms of communication and professionalism.  Long story below if you even need it.

After speaking with three other installers (and having two come by the house) Erin showed up and had a super professional can-do attitude with a vast amount of knowledge about electric vehicles and chargers that I wish I had tapped into before putting in hours and hours of my own research.  Initially, I had him give me two quotes for installation of a NEMA 14-50 socket: one if it was installed right next to my garage, and the other if I had it installed at the end of my driveway (which was my preferred place).  

By the time Erin came by I was on the fence about just installing a socket versus putting in a proper car charger so he talked to me about the pros and cons of installing the NEMA 14-50 socket versus installing a Tesla or a JuiceBox wall charger and, in the end, I went with the Tesla charger.  Since I wanted something that would work esthetically with my house I was hesitant about having a box installed so far down the driveway, so Erin came by and explained what he proposed to do, which is exactly what put me very at ease in terms of hiring him.  Once he came to do the work Erin only needed access to the space and about four hours later he texted me to let me know the job was completed.

When I looked at the work he did it looked so much better than I imagined.  The work even included finishing and sealing all of the places he had to drill through to get the charger in the location I wanted (something the other electricians did not include in their quote and told me I would have to hire another person to do).  Erin then walked me through using the charger and explained how to troubleshoot if there were any problems with it in the future, especially since we have blackouts in my area.  Now that I have been using my charger I am so happy I paid a little more to get the charger where I really wanted it.  It has already made life a lot easier.

I know during these SIP days and times money may be tight as we all wait to see what will happen with our economy but I will say if you have been mulling over getting something like this done RUN - don't walk - to these guys because they are available and do spectacular work.  Thankfully, electricians are considered essential services for now.

Highly professional and hard working team!  I had a wonderful experience working with Kirill and Erin to get a NEMA14-50 outlet installed in my condo parking space.  A neighbor and I were both looking to install and EVChargerExpert gave us a generous discount for multiple installations.  We had hunted around for months and gotten quotes from other companies; EVChargerExpert had the lowest price and was the only company who offered direct connection to our PG&E Smart meter so that our energy consumption would be directly linked to our monthly PG&E bill.  For condo situations, most other places we checked had a system of paying their company for our energy use, then they would compensate our HOA each month for the energy consumed, since it would draw common area electricity. EvChargerExperts took care of all the necessary city permits for installation and ran wiring from our electrical room to our respective parking spaces. The NEMA 14-50 outlet came with a box around it that has a hole for a lock so that only you have access to it. My neighbor's space was next to the electrical room so he paid less than I did -about $2200. His installation was not difficult and was completed in less than a day. My space was over 200 ft. away, clear across the garage, so my cost was just under $3800. My installation was very challenging due to preexisting material on the ceiling that they had to scrape off and all the pipes, so it took a little longer than a day. Erin and another worker tried their best to get it all done in a day, putting in ten hours of work, but it was past dinner time and I encouraged them to go home and rest. So Erin came back the next day for a couple hours and finished up. The final payment was for the quoted amount and I gave Erin a check that day. He was very nice about answering any questions and checking to make sure everything was in working order before he left. He even offered to help me install any wall mounts, but I didn't have any. Erin was very polite, friendly,  and a hard worker.  A couple days later, Kirill came for the electrical inspection with the city inspector, made sure that I had everything I needed and gave me copies of the city electrical permit.  Before he left, Kirill and I had a fun chat about chargers and EVs. It is obvious that much hard work went into establishing a high quality business and both my neighbor and I said their work was worth every penny.  Kirill also seemed to care about helping us save money by sending us info on grants and rebates. I got the $800 PG&E rebate. If you are looking for a company that cares about the quality of their work and will give you a great experience, EV ChargerExpert is the company for you.  I know that I can always go to them in the future should I have any questions or needs, and it is a nice feeling when you feel a genuine bond with a company because they really care.  I did a lot of research before going with EVChargerExpert so I can save you time: just go with them!

I found EVChargerExpert on Yelp to install a Tesla Wall Connector to charge my EV. I have an older home with an electrical panel that is maxed out. EVChargerExpert was able to install a Load Management Controller so that I can charge my EV with Tesla Wall Connector without a more costly upgrade of my existing electrical panel. Kirill was very responsive. He provided an itemized quote and detailed installation process within one day after I gave him the photos and information of my electrical panels. Everything to be done was explained clearly and in detail.

Erin came out to do the installation. He was very professional and friendly. He did a very meticulous installation. The Tesla Wall Connector is located on the opposite end of the garage from the electrical panel. Erin was able to lay the conduit pipes pretty much all hidden behind  a beam and tucked in the corners of the garage. It was a very clean installation. They also took care of the permit and inspection process.

Got our Tesla 3 delivered a month sooner than expected so in a rush to get a home charger installed.  We got bids from 5 different companies to do this job (including vendors Tesla recommended). Kirill with EVChargerExpert not only responded to our bid request immediately but did the most thorough onsite inspection to formulate the best cost effective plan to deal with our max'd out electrical panel.  His team's EV charger and electrical expertise was incredibly impressive and they responded to any questions we had along the way within minutes.  Not only was their bid the most reasonable, it was the only one that included all necessary inspections and they were able to complete our installation the fastest as well.  Communication throughout this process was incredibly thorough, pleasant and concise.  

Erin needed five hours to install our charger and DCC regulator.  During that time he made sure to coordinate with us before turning off our electricity to the house to connect the EV unit, met our need of where we wanted the unit placed and brought in all 3 of our garbage cans from the street just so he could clean everything up when he was done.  Then Erin insisted we test out our new charger, while he was here to make sure everything was in perfect working order before he left.  Erin took the time to gave us tips on how to extend the battery life in our car.

Recently got a Tesla Model 3 and we were panicking about getting a home charger installed. After looking around, Kirill reached out and said he could help us out within a few days (we were close to delivery date so we were happy to hear that!).

From my first search on Yelp I kept circling back to EVChargerExpert not only based on the reviews but also on the interactions with Kirill.  He replied to my request within an hour or so by getting details (with photos) of existing service and then providing a detailed estimate.  When I received my JuiceBox Kirill immediately set up an appointment for installation.  On the day of, Erin came to our home and carefully took a look at the job with various recommendations for location.  When he encountered a problem with the existing service he pointed out the problem as well as a recommended solution.  Throughout the day Erin kept me up to date as to the project's progress.  His work was very neat (I worried when I could hear the banging all for nothing).  Other businesses did not get back to me so be careful in your search.  As I say, your search can stop right here.

EVCharger Expert was 1 of 3 companies that my mid-size SF condo building considered to install EV chargers in individually owned parking spots (8 out of 40+ owners wanted to install a charger in their spot). The work was spread across 2 separate levels of the shared garage and all the spots were a decent distance from the building's electrical room. Kirill's team ran wires in conduit piping from each parking spot to the relevant owner's electrical meter, along with individual load management controllers to regulate the electricity usage since none of our individual condo electricity panels had enough capacity to handle an EV charger. This installation method allowed us to avoid installing shared chargers, which would be hard to manage and cost-prohibitive in terms of tracking and billing for individual usage.

EVCharger Expert's quote made the most sense with respect to cost. In addition, EVCharger Expert was the most flexible in terms of working with 8 different owners, who had different preferences on installation set-up (e.g., hardwired chargers vs. an outlet for a portable charger) and charger models. EVCharger Expert hired a specialized sub-contractor to do the core drilling work needed to efficiently get the wires to the lower level of the garage. These guys are the best. Lovely people, super knowledgeable, reliable, punctual. Great business run by great people. I've called them twice now to help diagnose a problem with my charger (which they didn't install but were happy to help anyway). First time turned out I had a melted breaker, second time a failed component in the charger itself. Both times, they were methodical, thorough and generous with their time. Fast and professional service!  Help installed a load management system and Tesla wall connector for my Model 3.  The service person was professional and organized,and they also set up all the city permit and appointment with the city.

We are very happy that we went with EVChargerExpert. They are very professional, personable, and knowledgeable, as well as patient with people who ask a lot of questions. Kirill and Erin thanks for the great install job and more. We definitely hit a few hiccups her and there but you two addressed it very professionally. Had a Tesla Wall connecter installed for the home in a  very strict San Francisco city where you need to get inspection done as well. They did a good job during install, I only wish they told me that the first visit was just a consultation to see and not to actually install. I had to take a day off work then rush back to work. During install everything was great, lots of wiring involved and work looked great. Even installed a motion sensor light for me during the process too as I had the box sitting around. We had some issues with inspection not from their install but from our in general house wiring and they did a great job giving me a quote to fix that and was really fast doing that too. They both were there every step of the way. I even had a breaker blow out for the charger and they came out within a day to get it addressed. Faulty part but install was not the issue. Overall I can tell both Kirill and Erin do care for their customers. They'll even make the drive during traffic hour and odd times to take care of me. Once I need another charger installed for my next home I will reach out to you again. Thank you both of you.

These guys are wonderful. They installed a Tesla Charger to our deeded parking space in our condo. They work diligently with HOA to get approval for the work. They are punctual and very professional. We contacted EVCharger Expert to have them install a 240-volt outdoor charger at the top of our driveway, located approximately 45 feet from our electric circuit box. They responded to our request within 24 hours, Erin came to our house to inspect our location shortly thereafter, and he provided us with a detailed, written estimate within a day. Because this was an outdoor installation, they also recommended a contractor who could dig an 18 deep trench for the electric conduit (who we paid separately at a reasonable price).

The guys (Erin and Kirill) worked with the city of Berkeley to obtain a work permit and scheduled the installation work within a couple of weeks. Because we requested that the trench follow the contour of an existing pathway, it was not dug in a straight line from the circuit box to the charger site. So Erin (who performed the installation) had to be creative in his use of some bendable conduits within the trench. Not only was he a good problem-solver, but we found him to be responsive (patiently answering a lot questions), efficient, communicative, friendly, respectful, and hard-working (the project was completed in a day). While planning out the project, he considered aesthetics as well as convenience, and the end result was an attractive ChargePoint EV station. When we discovered a couple of days later that our dishwasher was not working, Erin returned to diagnose the problem and replace a breaker at no charge. Finally, the guys were able to schedule the final inspection within days of completing he job.

We would recommend working with Erin and Kirill to anyone who wants to install an EV charger at their house, for all the reasons described above. They are highly professional and easy to work with, and what more can you ask of skilled service providers?

I didn't actually work with them, just asked for a quotation ... but Kirill spent a lot of time on the phone educating me and saying he didn't recommend spending the money (because our house is old and it would be very difficult and costly). Based on that limited experience I did get the sense they are knowledgeable and high integrity.

the owner (kirill) personally stopped by our house for ~30 minutes to take some measurements and offer us a (free) estimate with respect to the cost and level of work the project entailed.

we found the quote to be both competitive and thorough, with kirill graciously answering any questions that we had regarding the installation and offering us various alternatives to shape the job around both our aesthetic and financial needs.

we pulled the trigger on the quote, and when the installation day came around, kirill's colleague (erin) arrived on time and was able to complete the project in a matter of hours.

prior to the scheduled installation, kirill preemptively scheduled a permit inspection to be done by the city (knowing the city was delayed a few weeks due the the number of inspections it had backlogged).  this allowed for the project to be completed / reviewed by us / approved by the city within a ~week of the installation date.

after a job well done, kirill reminded me to fill out a pg&e rebate ($500) for our clean energy vehicle, which i just submitted.

EVChargerExpert has done an excellent job to install an EV charger for me. When I requested installation quote around internet, it was very busy time of the year. Not every electrician company responds to your request, or could do an installation for you quickly. Kirill responded me in couple hours. He provided me every detail, answered all my questions, and most importantly, quoted me the most reasonable price. Once we confirmed contract, he sent Erin to finish the installation in two days.

Erin is a professional and very friendly electrician. He concerns for his customers and try to visit me during my most convenient time. He installed NEMA 14-50 outlet for me very well and quickly. He also educated me some useful home electricity knowledge and tips of charging my car.

We enjoyed working with Kirill and Erin at EVCharger Expert.  They got the job done quickly, for a fair price, and the work was great.  I initially had a problem reading my main panel (the label was missing) and Kirill came out to our property at no charge to look and get the information he needed.  Our old sub-panel wasn't grounded properly, but Erin was able to fit us in several days after he installed the charger and make sure the sub-panel was safely grounded.  It was great to have them come do work and leave our house safer than when they found it.  Very highly recommend.

Kirill and Erin are excellent in all respects.  Yesterday, Erin installed my Tesla Wall Connector in our garage.  He is a skilled electrician and did an absolutely masterful job on the installation at a very fair and reasonable price.  Prior to selecting EVChargerExpert, I solicited estimates from numerous other supposed ev charger experts. One of these supposed experts advised that I needed a brand new main electrical panel installed at a cost of over $5000, another wanted to run the connection from a sub panel on the second floor to the garage on first at a cost of over $3000, and yet another advised that I should replace the oven so they could use that circuit for the wall connector. As Kirill advised, and Erin showed me yesterday, none of that excessive additional work was necessary.  If you need an EV Charger installed, look no further and retain EVCharger Experts.

My husband upgraded from a Chevy Spark to a Tesla. While we had an electric charger they were not compatible.  I reached out to several popular installers on yelp. Kirill from EV charger was quick to respond and ask pertinent questions. Erin then came to our home for a free consultation and evaluated our system. He made sure all circuits and panels were working well and then gave us our options. After being here at least 30 minutes he figured out a solution with an adapter that would cost us nothing. He could have sold us on many options , what do we know? Instead he  showed us a way to not use him! So honest! He was sweet, patient and friendly. I would highly recommend them for your EV installation. They were friendly, honest, knowledgeable and above-board.

I highly recommend EVChargerExpert to anyone who wants to have the wall connectors installed at their house.  After seeing Erin doing 2 installations in my neighborhood, I asked him to do one for me as well.  In term of price, their quotes were on par with the rest of the businesses on Yelp, and in some cases even cheaper as they didn't recommend me to buy unnecessary items or install extra panels.  I was not an electrician so naturally I was skeptical and nervous when it came to electricity.  But they allayed my fear by telling me that they always drew permits for their work and would meet with the inspector onsite once the job was done.  The job was done today and it looked great.  Erin would clean up the site, and show me how the charger worked and how to get rebate from PGE.  Kirill already scheduled an inspection for next week.  I don't have any reason to expect the job to fail inspection. But if it does, I will come back and update this review.

I had an outstanding experience with Kirill and Erin. Out of the blue, I received an email from Tesla telling me my Model 3 would be ready in a week. I panicked becauseI had already scheduled my install with EV Charger about a month later than that. I immediately called Kirill and asked if he could move up the install of my NEMA 15-40 charger sooner. Within an hour, he emailed me back telling me he'd moved up my install to the day after I took delivery of my Tesla. Worked out perfectly!  These guys are so professional. Erin did the actual install and showed me how to charge the car. He left no mess or debris behind. Kirill came out and talked with the SF city inspector and got the work signed off.  They answer emails quickly.  They communicate extremely well and never leave you hanging. They also really know their business, especially in SF with a lot of old houses and electrical systems.
I was so lucky to find these guys. You shouldn't think twice if you have a new EV--these guys are best in business.

Kirill and Erin were excellent. Coordinated with Kirill to schedule a NEMA 14-50 install within a week after initial contact. Erin came to do the install the morning I was getting my EV and he was done in 2 hrs! (Including time it took for him to get the right supplies!) Erin was responsive and helped with all questions I had after the install and they scheduled the final inspection to be done within a couple days. The entire process was easy and quick. Worst customer service. I am not sure how they got good reviews. Asked for a quote for a straightforward electrical job that should around $3K. They asked for pictures of the equipment that needs services and details which I provided. He responded saying they can do the job and one of the theirs techs will contact me. Crickets..... I followed up with them recently and got a response saying that now they don't provide that service. What a waste of time.

Very courteous communication, super-fast scheduling and solid service at a reasonable price. They uninstalled our charger (we're moving to Minnesota) and set the wiring up so that the people who just bought our house will have a simple time installing a charger of their own. We'll definitely be recommending them to the new homeowners.

After driving the available options, we chose a Chevy Bolt, which we absolutely love. We researched and ordered a Siemens charger, then began looking for an installer.  We picked the right one. This company is impressive - from its thoroughness to its follow up to its honesty.  I recently purchased a Tesla and wanted to explore charging options.  EVChargeExpert asked for information upfront in order to provide a quote.  The directions on providing the needed information was clear and it was a straightforward process to upload the photos.  Within hours, I received a detailed quote from the company's owner.  In addition, I asked some questions and he responded promptly, agreeing that there was another option for charging my vehicle that was less expensive for me.  This option resulted in no profit for his company, yet he didn't hesitate to suggest I try it.  In this day and age, concern for the customer is rare.  Meanwhile, an installation company recommended on the Tesla website is pushing me to select their installation option AND I have yet to receive their quote - even though I contacted them before I contacted EVChargeExpert.  Again, this is a very impressive company.

I called based on the positive Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. These guys are the real deal -- total pros from start to finish. After submitting a few photos on paper, Kirill came to measure and discuss our options. He did not upsell us the Tesla Wall charger and helped us figure out a somewhat complicated installation of a NEMA 14-50 that would allow us to plug in our car outside of the garage without backing into the driveway. Erin came the next day on time and did a beautiful job installing the the outlet inside the garage, taking about 4 hours. However, it turned out that the Tesla mobile charging cable (which comes in only one short size) was still a tight fit and required lots of maneuvering of the car to get the charger in. So Erin spent another 2.5 hours buying supplies and remounting the NEMA 14-50 outside the garage so that it now fits easily! These guys also take care of all of the permit issues, which in Piedmont is a total PITA. Thanks EVChargerExpert!

I was very impressed with this two-man team from my initial inquiry through final inspection of the installed charging system, the first one in our condo building. Kirill, the Engineer, assessed our situation and needs and configured a system incorporating a load management controller at a price better than others I had received without that technology. (Others didn't even know about it or propose it as an option when it was perfect for our application.) These guys are on top of all the latest technologies and products because this is all they do. They really are experts, as the name says.  Kirill provided everything needed to satisfy both our HOA's and City's requirements. Erin, the hands-on electrician, was also very professional and very helpful in answering my questions not only about our system but about future options with the building based on the design of our electrical room and incoming power availability. Erin did a quality job with the installation and thoroughly cleaned up everything when he finished. The installation and City inspection were completed in a timely fashion with no issues. Communication and follow up were timely and accurate throughout the entire process.  Besides being experts in this specialized field, they are professional, priced right, and nice guys too.
