Plumbing is a family tradition for me. I started running plumbing calls with my father when I was 12 years old on the weekends. My brother joined the family business. We worked for my father's plumbing business until he retired and moved to Colorado. By the time I was 14 years old I knew I would work in the plumbing industry for my career. I now have 30 years of experience. My early training began with my father, and continued over the years working for different plumbing contractors learning the trade. In 2005 I bought my own truck passed the state licensing board and branched our on my own. Since that time the business has continued to grow, and that has truly been a blessing.

A couple of years ago my drains were a mess. Chris took care of it and the still drain perfectly.
I have had him install a small water heater in my office. One of the things I really like about the service is that Chris will only use the best parts. He makes the point that the cheap plastic stuff just will not last and with plumbing why would you do that. Simple answer is some people just wan to save money now no matter what. Not a good idea for the long term. I'll stick with what chris has on his truck.

We ordered a dishwasher from a big chain store and had a disappointing experience with the store's installation team. We quickly realized needed a professional plumber and called Clean Plumbing. He knew exactly what he was doing and was able to install a dishwasher and kitchen faucet with no problem. Since we had such a great experience, we asked him to look at two toilets to see if they needed to be replaced. He didn't try to pressure us to replace, but let us know we could hold off on replacing.

Called Chris at 8AM on a Wednesday, he picked up the phone right away and stopped by between 9-10AM to check out my water heater leak. Went over with me whether it would be better to do some minor pipe repairs or get the whole water heater replaced. Considering my water heater was 10 years old, I opted to get the whole thing replaced. He gave me a reasonable price to get a new water heater installed and had it done in the afternoon. Excellent service. Chris arrived on time. He repaired insides of 2 toliets. These toliets have never worked this good. Have had other big name plumbers fix these toliets before and a few months later same leaking and lack of proper flushing returned. Chris was professional and polite. I came home on a holiday weekend (Labor Day) to find I had a pinhole leak in one of my copper pipes. Nothing worse than not being able to take a shower with 3 young kids after a weekend of camping. The inspector told me that I had a tiny bit gas leaking from the gas cooking top. So I called Clean Plumbing. Chris came over the same day on time!! ON TIME!! He checked everything and could not find any leaks. He explained me very carefully and gave me a suggestion. He even explained me about the tool that an inspector used to check the leak. He explained me and educated me and he even didn't charge any dime. NOTHING!! He is very friendly and easy to talk. I am an English Second language person but I feel very comfortable to talk to him. Chris came to my house today for what I thought was a leak. He examined the area and determined that the water was coming from something else (my moisture trapper), and there was no leak. I offered to pay him for the service call, but he did not charge me and just said to give him a call next time. He was honest, on time, and went beyond the call of duty. My kitchen sink was backed up horribly and I called around to get different quotes- I was getting around 140-150 and they were telling me: we can't give you a definite quote because we don't know how big or how small the issue is- which I can understand- but to think it could be MORE seemed a little crazy to me.

Chris from Clean Plumbing- came out within one hour and fixed the problem at a great price- he quoted me over the phone and didn't offer me more services (like most companies do- once they have serviced the issue).

last Sunday morning me and my wife were getting ready for church. While taking showers and running the laundry the main sewer pipe clogged up and started filling up the toilets. I went to searched Google Huntington Beach plumber and called several plumbers. The first 2 did not answer but Huntington Beach clean plumbing did. The plumber said he could come out within the hour to diagnose the problem. He arrived one hour later dress very professionally with a big truck and all the equipment to handle the job. He used two different sewer machines to rooter out my main sewer line. After one hour of work he got the sewer pipes draining the sewer water. He informed me I had roots in my main sewer pipe in the front yard and recommended using a sewer camera to inspect the inside of the pipe. The next day he returned and set up the camera computer screen in order to find the roots and locate them. The camera found the pipe was broken and full of roots 32 feet out. He used his locating equipment to find the exact location of the pipe and the depth. He recommended we dig the pipe up, repair the broken pipe, and install four-inch cleanouts. He informed me the cost for this service would be $1500. Over the next couple days I called four different Huntington Beach plumbers to get estimates. All the estimates were over $2000 so I called Huntington Beach clean plumbing to schedule the repair with him. Clean plumbing returned the next day and worked all day digging up the pipe and repairing the break. The two men that completed the work were so nice and informative throughout the day. The repair was completed within eight hours and I must say they really lived up to their name as doing a clean job. They have won me over as a customer for all my future plumbing repairs

Our garbage disposal broke down and backed up two days after we moved into our new place (and two days before Christmas). What a disaster!
Luckily, Chris from Clean Plumbing was able to come out the same day that I called him. He assessed the situation, identified the issue and fixed our sink, clean and FAST. He was very polite, and neat; he left no mess or footprints behind. The pipes and new disposal look fantastic!
The rate he charged was very reasonable, and I will definitely use him again when I am ready to upgrade the toilets and bathroom sinks in here.

I called Chris on a Wednesday evening and explained my plumbing problem. He rescheduled his Thursday morning to accommodate my time frame. He told me he would arrive between 8 and 8:30 am and texted me at 8:25 to let me know he had arrived.

Chris with Clean Plumbing is hands down the best out there! I live with 3 girls, and all the hair that goes down the drain in the shower finally clogged it up. Tried snaking it out my self but that didn't work, next I called Roto Rooters only find out their free inspection was just a chance for them to quote a ridiculous high price of $450 to clear drain so I kindly asked them to leave. My name is Rich Fancher and I have owned my home in Huntington Beach since 1989. I have required numerous plumbing project over the years including repiping, gas line installation, and recurring main drain rooting ( olive tree in line with main). I am loyal to vendors, almost to a fault.

I had used the one of the oldest names in plumbing in my city for years. I had become dissatisfied with the service and pricing. I decided to try another plumber, so after looking online for local plumbers, I decided to call Chris at Clean Plumbing.

Chris just left my home, today,after performing a main line clearing. This is my second contracting job for my home with Chris. Clean is my plumber from now on.

Chris was responsive and came out same day! He did fix the problems. However, one of the issues was not fixed intentionally, so that's why I'm lowering a 5 to 4 stars - I'll explain. He was efficient and reasonable. The one issue I had was he told me he couldn't snake the tub, because the trap was too old and his snake would not go through. The only choice was to pull the tub, replace the drain - what!!!! And $200 for resealing and seating the toilet was a bit high for 15 minutes of work and a $10 wax ring - but I know it's their prerogative to charge what they want. So I refused that part. So he proceeded to snake the kitchen drain. I paid him and we parted cordially. Guess what!!? The tub drain is fixed!! Boom!! The snaking helped both drains. But he didn't mention that - My only choice was to pull the tub - what!!! I digress. Overall, he's a nice guy. Not great at communication and I'm not an easy customer. I would recommend him, but with caution.

Had a leak in the ceiling, called Clean Plumbing and made an appointment for the next day. Diagnosed as a leak in the wax seal of a toilet upstairs. Based on Yelp reviews I decided to call Chris about installing sinks and faucets for my master and guest bath that I just had new granite counters put in. It started as a very straightforward appointment to install the new fixtures and in our initial discussion he asked me about the shut off valves if they were in good shape. Having replaced all of them at one point or another I said yeah.. they're all great...and then I thought more about it and went home and checked them. Yeah.. not so much. Long story short 2 out of 6 (initially) didn't work and I called Chris and asked if he could come out the next morning to fix them as the counter install guys were coming at noon. Living in a condo and not being able to shut the water off to just my unit I would not have been able have the counters installed and just let it wait to fix after. Chris came out that morning and saved the day replacing all (long story) of the shut offs just in time for the counter install. Thank you!!!

Come now to day 2 and Chris and team came out for the sink and faucet install. Looks awesome (see pix). Fantastic job at a good price and gave me some tips on care! I would highly recommend and actually already have!! Thank you for a great job!

I bought a complete SpringWell water filtration system to replace an aging one (different brand) and needed a plumber for a professional install. Called a few plumbers to get an estimate, including others with 5-star yelp ratings. Chris (Clean Plumbing) was the only one to come in-person. He arrived on time within the said hour and looked at what needed to be done. I also wanted to get by-pass valves (extra) installed. His quote was very reasonable so I went with him. (Others were crazy high for what I thought needed to be done.) We set up an appointed time. He arrived on time and installed up the water filtration system within a few hours and we tested it with no problems (leaks). Chris is such a great guy. Very knowledgeable about plumbing, and very honest. Last night my garbage disposal unit wasn't working, so I called Chris this morning, and he was here by early afternoon.
I thought I was going to need a new air switch for the disposal unit, but Chris easily diagnosed that the repair was much simpler than that, and got things working again in 5 minutes. I offered to pay him for the service visit, but he didn't want any payment from me.
So nice to work with a professional plumber like Chris who is honest, reliable, and really puts his customers first. Chris is the only plumber that I will call anymore. Frankly, he is the only plumber I've found who does great quality work at reasonable prices. I cannot say enough good things about him. He's the real deal.

Chris Swenson really is the best plumber ever. Does just an excellent job, and is such a nice guy. Recently, I had a very bad leak coming from my property, and water was running out to the sidewalk. Instead of just jack hammering away at my patio, Chris really studied the situation and did some tests. By using his smarts, he was able to identify the location of the leak, and no damage to the patio was necessary.
I've used Chris on multiple projects. Every time he's done such a great job. This was the first outdoor project. And again, I'm still super happy.

Our main waterline broke. We called our regular guy and he was busy on a remodel. We looked on yelp and found out Chris was just down the street from us. (We support local) He said he could be here in an hour. He looked at the problem and started the next day. After some digging we realized the line ran under the courtyard concrete. Chris said it would be easier to run a new line from the main shutoff valve through the garage.
And he even put a new hose bib in the front of the garage to wash our cars!! Bonus!! Chris does a great job, is very respectful and professional. Definitely use him again!! Thank you Chris!!

It's great when you find a company that provides high quality customer service. When our water heater stopped providing hot water (only warm), I dreaded the possibility of having to pay for an expensive repair and/or replacement. I found Clean Plumbing through Yelp and called immediately after I read all the 5-star ratings (plus, they're located very close to me in HB); and I'm so glad I called. Chris answered the phone, and he and Robert were at our house within 15 minutes. It turned out, the knob on the water heater was either inadvertently moved, or it was set too low. Chris gave me some tips on where it should be set during specific times of the year, and also took a look at our system to let me know that everything else looked fine. We're now back up and running with hot water :-) We're definitely calling Chris at Clean Plumbing for all our plumbing needs, and will refer him to our friends and family. Thank you, Chris!

Chris answered my Saturday morning call for a natural gas water heater replacement and asked a few questions resulting in a quote and service within less than two hours. Chris was here by the time he said and that included picking up the water heater. He is professional and easy to talk to. Chris's price was the lowest of three local Huntington Beach plumbing companies. He used a well known brand name water heater. Chris asked if I wanted to install a 50 gal vs my existing 40 gal and the price for the upgrade was very reasonable, in fact the same as online pricing for the increase in size. Chris lives up to his name and does Clean plumbing. He explained how to use the heater and suggested winter and summer adjustments and left the work area spotless and ... hauled away the old water heater. Also, Chris is a Huntington Beach downtown resident and loves our great city! I am a pleased customer ... and now I can take a shower!

First time user of Clean Plumbing - chose them based on Yelp reviews. All I needed was a garbage disposal replaced. Chris recommended the low price unit ($100) and a $200 labor charge. I chose a higher-priced ($200) stainless steel disposal in hopes I'll never buy another one in my lifetime. I give Chris 5 stars because from the start, he tried to keep my out-the-door costs down with the lower priced unit and he was extremely professional. A bit high on his labor price @ $200, $150 could be more like it (he was in and out the door in 90 minutes). Total labor + material cost = $400.

Super high pressure. He came over to diagnose an issue with the water heater. We asked him about a clogged drain, without looking at it he said it'd be at least $100. When he looked at the water heater, in seconds he concluded that we needed a new one and that it would cost $1500 for the replacement. He wasn't willing to consider a tankless installation. I asked him for ten minutes to make a decision; he said ok, but he kept pressuring my wife to hurry up and get a replacement. Five minutes later my wife asked him to leave. He turned a relatively low urgency issue into a high pressure sales pitch.

In the middle of the night last night I realized my water heater had sprung a leak. After a sleepless night I called Clean Plumbing and Chris, the owner, actually answered the call. He came in about an hour and replaced my water heater quickly and neatly. His rates are fair and reasonable. I think I found the perfect plumber. We needed a new faucet installed in the kitchen and had a plumbing issue in our master bath where the sink made a water hammering noise. I had called Chris on Friday and he scheduled an appointment to look into our problem on Saturday morning. He was prompt and came on time. He efficiently installed our kitchen faucet and looked into the plumbing issue we had in our master bath sink. It turned out the the valve and everything on the master bath sink was loose so it needed tightening. We saved a lot of money and was glad Chris was able to figure the problem without us having to spend more on our home that we plan to rent out.

Chris is the best plumber we've ever had--and we ran through quite a few before finding him. (We've been ripped off by a few, too.) He's replaced faucets, toilets, outside hose faucets, and recently came several times in one week after our whole house water filter exploded internally, sending carbon bits throughout our entire intake plumbing system. He patiently cleaned out toilet hoses upstairs and down, replaced a commercial pre-rinse faucet in the kitchen, and had to replace an entire toilet downstairs. We kept having additional problems with more and more carbon--a real nightmare-- but Chris just kept coming back without complaint as we needed additional service. I was an emotional wreck, but Chris was steady as a rock throughout and didn't take advantage cost-wise, despite my emergency texts--I'm just grateful he doesn't charge extra for psych counseling. We've known Chris for some years now and wouldn't call any other plumber.

Work in an older building in downtown HB, so there are always some kind of electrical or plumbing problem cropping up. Chris & Clean Plumbing have been used previously by the office manager for her house to great success, so we thought we would give them a call when our kitchen garbage disposal locked up after the company potluck this week.

Chris was here at the office right away, took the sink apart, showed us where someone had used a drain-cleaning liquid that damaged the disposal, and installed a new unit in less than 30 minutes.

These guys saved my home from a potential flood!!! The washing machine hot water supply was about to break. They discovered it and replaced the line with a stainless flexible line! I had called them originally to fix my leaky toilet reservoir. It kept refilling every hour. They offered to check the other 4 bathrooms and washing machine. My garbage disposal started having problems every month starting in August. Finally called Chris. He did the October fix and when called for the November one he told me, nope it's time to replace it. I'll bring the new one with me. Installed the new one in November and wouldn't you know it stops working in December. Chris comes back out and looked at it. Said it needed to be cleared and reset. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg for 30 seconds of work like previous plumbers I've used, he gave me the needed tool, took the time to show me exactly what needed to be done and told me to call him when I really needed a plumber. Its so refreshing to find someone that just wants to do their customers right and get to the heart of the problem instead of milking the situation for every possible dollar. I most definitely will be calling Chris when really need to, until then I'll be using the new skill Chris taught me!

Chris is a great guy. Very friendly and able to come quickly whenever I have plumbing issues. One of my fourplexes had no hot water. One of the water heaters crapped out and I was calling around for anyone to come by to do an estimate. Chris had great yelp reviews and came within 30 minutes!

After the estimate and we agreed on the price, he started immediately. I hate it when servicemen can't start the job ASAP and schedule it for the next day. He went out to pickup a new water heater, remove and toss the old water heater, install a brand new one, replaced all the piping, and was able to bring hot water to tenants all within 2 hours! Freakin fast!

His prices are very reasonable and he texts as well. Highly recommend him for all your plumbing needs.

I needed to get a gas line added to my kitchen for a new range. I called 3 plumbers out to quote me on the job. Both of the plumbers prior to Chris wanted to do a 1/2 line around the side of my house into the back yard where it would have been in plain sight and would have been an eye sore. I wan't too pleased but was getting ready to go that route until Chris showed up. Chris told me that it was a bad idea to do 1/2 line to an all gas range/oven due to potentially limiting the BTU's at full capacity. He also came up with idea on how to run the pipe into the house without coming around the backside of the house. It was clear to me after he walked the job that I was dealing with a plumber with a brain as he factored in everything and explained the details of the job thoroughly. His quote was slightly higher than the others but he was using 3/4 pipe and he was going to do it the right way which would take more time than how the other two plumbers wanted to do it. What sold me on him is that he was going to do the job the hard way which happens to be the right way. The other two plumbers we selling me on the easy way which would have resulted in an eye sore and potentially affect the performance of my new range by limiting the BTU's with smaller pipe.

After I gave him the job, Chris scheduled a day to do the work. He showed up promptly at the time he gave me and jumped right into the job. He was very good about protecting flooring and about making sure the mess was limited to the area he was working on. During the job he encountered an issue with the framing on the house and instead of taking a short cut by doing some more demolition to drywall/crown molding he put extra effort into getting around the issue. Part of the job entailed cutting into drywall and he did so like an expert. The drywall cuts were straight and neat so that the drywall repair person could easily re-use the cut out pieces which cut down on my cost to repair. HUGE HELP!!!

When he was done he pressure tested the line to ensure it was safe for operation. I have some work I need done and I will definitely call him back!! Save yourself the headache and call Chris!

Chris is awesome! He fixed a bunch of leaks, a broken sink and a shower that was completely unusable. He brought us some great replacement fixtures that fit our style perfectly. We had a lot of work to do and he worked hard to make sure it was all finished and done right. He is prompt, friendly and does great work - what more can you ask for?
