Unfortunately when dealing with a customer out of the area, schedules are not always set in a timely manner. This location is an hour away from our shop and we schedule and service multiple calls once a week for several home warranty companies in this and other locations outside of our regular service area.

We do not just show up as this would require a large waste of fuel, time and money. We do schedule appointments from 8-12 or after 12 noon with a 30 minute call prior to arrival. If we are unable to contact the insured customer, we will stop by and place a card on the door as a customer courtesy to help with scheduling if we are in the area.

It is regrettable that this homeowner had a negative experience.

We use feedback forums such as Yelp, to help improve customer service locally and out of the area and hope to have the opportunity to provide a positive service to this customer in the future.

In Response:

So 45 days for a leak is an acceptable time frame for your company?  Regardless of how far from you area we are, I think 45 days is quite ridiculous.  This isn't the first problem we have had with your company either.  If fact just last week you did something very similar with another work order we had, it had been 2 weeks for garbage disposal.  I can understand a day or two, or even 5 days, but two weeks? 45 days? I'm sorry your out of area excuse is just that- an excuse.

I  also have extensive documentation showing that that you did just show up- is it customary for your company to call customers liars?

If it wasn't for the home warranty companies using you, we would never have contact again with this company again.  Unfortunately they have terrible taste in vendors.  But don't worry, I place complaints with them every chance I get, hopefully we won't have to deal with the company for much longer. :)

City Plumbing provided the finest customer service I have experienced. They responded within 1 hour of my call to American Home Shield, and had a hot water heater installed within 24 hours. There were technical difficulties which they overcame with persistence and determination. I'd recommend them to anyone.

The worst.  DO NOT USE.  AVOID the HEADACHE.  They are terrible.  Took 9 days and couldnt even fix an issue with my sink.   They said some one will come and we waited during that time but no one showed up. No phone calls. Just unreliable. Totally waste of time.  I had to call my home warranty and ask for someone else.  Please please people, look at all the bad reviews before calling them to work on your property.  They shouldn't be in business.

I had called American home shield about a plumbing issue, and they sent out this company. I paid 125$ in trade fees for this company to come out and fix nothing, and only attempt to snake the drain, which i had already done with the same type of snake. overall the plumber was friendly, but to be charged for someone else to tell me that snaking didn't work when I had told their dispatcher what measures had already been taken to clear issue, but I guess since in not a plumber I'm to stupid to snake my own drains. after leaving plumber also left pipe access in secured and the door to secure was left on floor next to the opening.

Thank you City Plumbing! Woke up to a collapsed ceiling with water dripping down. Total disaster! Called City Plumbing, explained my problem and they sent a plumber over. He got up into my attic space (no easy task) found the problem right away and fixed it within minutes. There is no way I could have gotten up there myself and no telling how long it would have took me to find that water line. These guys are great, professional and the plumber was a really nice guy as well. Thank you all again!!!

I think my review should be carefully considered when it comes to home warranties (AHS). Called my insurance because we had a stoppage somewhere near our utility sink. When I wash my dishes, my kitchen sink doesn't clog up but it all gets backed into our utility sink that's in our garage. Long story short, in my opinion, this company is just fishing out for money (service fee) and find their loophole to not get the work done. Collecting this service fee from 5 customers a day is more than some people who work for a full 8 hr shift. This plumber told me that it could get done BUT he would have to send one of his guys up my roof to snake it from there. That's automatic denial from home warranty for us. He then says if we want it done because it's a weekend it's $275 but if we do on a weekday it will be $175. I should have trusted my guts in the beginning. Had my plumber come out that had done previous jobs for me for reasonable fair prices and he snaked it from the utility sink for 4 TIMES LESS than this plumber quoted me and it was done on the weekend right then and there in 30 mins. Horrible. Home warranty companies should look into companies like these. Wouldn't have assed out on that service fee if I trusted my guts in the first place. Lesson learned. Never again.

Nelson at City Plumbing went out of his way to help me when his technician couldn't get to me in time;  he actually covered the expense himself since the repair had to be done immediately by another company.  This was after a long and frustrating struggle with another issue - related to an aerobic septic system that was not followed up on properly by his technician, for which I had to eventually employ a separate specialist.

Nelson's response was superb, and I am grateful.  Plumbing is a gritty business that I don't understand, but I would definitely use City Plumbing again for plumbing issues through American Home Shield.

I called City Plumbing for an emergency kitchen sink issue on a Saturday. I had a dinner party that night and told them the sink was clogged and I had tried everything to fix it. They sent out a plumber within 2 hours! It turned out the job was much more complicated. I don't understand plumbing , but I do know the gentleman had to take a HUGE snake style device ON MY ROOF to unclog the problem. Everything was fixed in less than an hour and there was NO additional charge for the roof service, etc. City Plumbing is definitely my go to plumber! Excellent Job

If I could give a zero or negative rating I would not hesitate. This has to be the worst business when it comes to customer service and delivering on meeting a customers needs. This company does not care about doing a professional job or being thorough and does not communicate with their customers at all. Our home warranty company, American home shield, contracted with city plumbing to do a repair on our gas water heater. The repair did not occur until three weeks almost after the request was made. There were delays in getting parts and ultimately the repair was in effective. When city plumbing was notified, there were so many excuses given and no attention paid to getting the job done in a timely fashion or at all. It will have been a month without hot water and we are still waiting to hear from city plumbing.Given the time and energy devoted to this problem and their lack of concern for addressing it, we have no alternative but to seek other solutions. If you have an opportunity at all to avoid doing business with this company, then I suggest you do. There are far more reputable establishment out there I'm sure who would be able to perform a quality job and guarantee their work. City plumbing is not one of them. And if American home shield is your home warranty company, I would think twice. They are doing business with the bottom of the barrel, therefore,That doesn't say much about their company either. We will not be renewing with you!

Service Request: January 2023
1) Toilet leaking near bolts
2) Kitchen Faucet Leaking
3) Water Heater, not keeping water hot long enough
AHS sent City Plumbing
City's plumber documented Equipment Modifications to AHS. AHS doesn't
pay Modifications. AHS does pay for parts and components, but you throw in the words Equipment Modifications, that stops payments from them for the  parts and components. I was quoted $1,400  my cost, paperwork site unseen.
Tenants said no Modifications were done.
Toilet replaced, Equipment Modification $175.00 They charged my card.
Kitchen Faucet installed
Water Heater- They charged me for parts not put on, example, earthquake strap
they are trying to charge me for a new one, they put the old one back on.
City said I need to call for Inspection, I did, and found that the Water Heater
project is unfinished. Told City, no response. (City should be the one calling for
Inspection, they are the ones who got the permit, they are charging me $275 for
the permit that cost $189.)
I have asked for the details of the document the
service tech wrote as the copy I requested is mostly unreadable, and to tell
me the Modifications that the tech supposedly did, my request has gone
unanswered. They are  trying to charge me over a $100 for a $10 part from what I can figure
out, and that was all the parts that I could read on the work order (not sure if that is the right name
of it). There are multiple parts documented, all are being charged at more than 1,000 percent of the cost.
I told them not to charge my credit card until all of this gets straightened out.
I have not received an invoice, or any information I requested.

I called AHS and told them about this situation, I am waiting for their response.

Today's date, March 23, I sent another request to City, I bet it goes unanswered.

Bottom Line. Call AHS when you need a plumber and tell them not to send this company. If you just order a service call online, City plumbing is the default company they send.

If I could give them no stars, I would! Horrible, horrible customer service. If my home warranty didn't refer them, I would not have utilized them for our service. They quoted me the wrong amount (2xs), it took me 10 calls to schedule the service ( I'm not exaggerating ), and when I voiced my concerns they didn't even want to listen. I have a home warranty and someone how the job ended being over $1000. I honestly feel robbed by them but I have no other options! If you have a chance to utilize another vendor do it. Run! Run! Run! Not sure how companies like this sleep at night

Our home warranty assigned a plumbing company to us for an issue with our shower. The company never answered us and never contacted us. We asked to be reassigned a new company, and the home warranty company assigned us to City Plumbing. They immediately scheduled us for a home visit the following day, showed up when promised, and the technician, Rocky, was polite, professional, and efficient. He fixed the issue quickly and made sure we were happy with it. Thanks, City Plumbing!

So here we are 11 days ago on a Tuesday.  The THERMOPILE GAS VALVE went bad.  I contacted American Home Shield that day.  Wednedsay City Plumbing called for an appt.  Said first available day was Saturday.  The technician comes down and diagnoses the problem.  He advised he would go to office and order the valve, pick it up Monday and come an install it.  But then added that it was up to the girls in the office that do the scheduling for when he returns.  Monday comes around, nothing.  Tuesday I call the office and spoke to one of the girls.  I was advised she saw the part was ordered and it was due in on Wednesday.  She advised if it came in early the office would contact us and they would come install it.  This made me feel like the cared and were taking care of us (Boy was I wrong).  Wednesday comes around, nothing.  I called them back.  The office told me the part wasn't in, but the girl at the parts counter was busy and would call me back.  Late Thursday I called back and was advised the part just came in (imagine that) and she wanted to schedule the appt (wait for it) for the following Tuesday.  She then explained after I finished being upset, that she understood our problem but they don't have any other jobs in the area and could not substantiate sending the tech to come do our job that would only take 15 to 30 minutes to fix (Good customer service huh).  Now she added that if an opening comes up, she would squeeze us in.  However she just said there was no other jobs in our area and wouldn't schedule the job.  Ok so Tuesday rolls around.  Tech arrived and advised my wife he had the wrong part.  I got a text and fell out of my chair.  10 days no hot water- this was crap.  Luckily the tech made some calls and figured out it was the right part, after making a modification to it, he installed it and magically the hot water is back on.  Now during the call to the office the tech had the speaker phone on.  The tech advised he was going to come get the new part and return to install it.  The parts girl advised him that he had 2 other jobs to do and that he wasn't going to come back today.  She then asked him (wait for it) if he was going to make it to the Christmas Party at 6pm that night.  Bless his heart- he advised he was going to fix our hot water heater and wasn't going to make it to the party.
I gave 2 stars for the efficiency of the Technician.  He was very knowledgeable, friendly and over worked.  If it wasn't for the girls scheduling the calls and the give a sh*t attitude towards the customer, I would use again.  However due to poor customer service, I would never use again.  I am also recommending to American Home Shield they not be assigned jobs in the Tulare area because they don't respond when they have a job, only after they have more than one.

Attempted to have water heater fixed through American Home Shield. They fixed the hot water, but the water pressure was very low and took almost 3 minutes to get hot. While the plumber was very nice, he just couldn't figure out the issue. He recommended that I try a different plumber. I  asked American Home Shield for switch to another company. They said they had to call City Plumbing to confirm.

My issue and reason for the one-star review is that the owner of City Plumbing lied and said they were still working on it. Keep in mind, this is after 3-4 months with poor water pressure. As a result, I had to plead with AHS to believe me and not the owner. Fortunately, AHS did, and the second plumber was able to figure out and fix the issue on the first visit.

They were selected by my home warranty company to fix a toilet issue. They left me a voicemail yesterday asking me to call and schedule. I've spent the last 25 minutes on hold with them. I called once, the only words they spoke to me were City plumbing, hold. I waited 12+ minutes, then hung up and called again thinking there must be some mistake.
Nope, City Plumbing, hold please. Just hung up after waiting another 12+ minutes. At least they said please that time?
Updating review to add - Once I was finally able to schedule the repair, the person who came to complete the work was on time, fixed the issues, and there were no additional hidden costs (as others have complained about). So, terrible phone experience, just fine repair experience.

City Plumbing is a contractor for American Home Shield (AHS). My hot water heater was beyond its useful life and needed repairing. City Plumbing came out, determined that it did indeed need replacing. City was to send AHS a report so that the replacement of the new water heater could be approved. we'll, the report wasn't submitted to AHS until 7 days later, in the mean time, i am without hot water. Then City told me that a new unit would take about 3 day to arrive.  To add insult to injury, City quota me $1,560. for charges not covered by AHS such as modifications, code upgrade, disposal fee and permit.

City Plumbing came out for a leaking water heater. I'm with a home warranty company so they decide to throw $1250 modifications fees on me! My Warranty Company covered the water heater but doesn't pay Mod Fees! City Plumbing puts as much cost as they can on the customer so that their claims are low and they are at the top of home warranty companies!!C P said I needed 12 different Modifications. C P said I needed a carbon monoxide detector (for my GARAGE water heater)!! That Is laughable if it wasn't so wrong! So I called for a second opinion. 2nd plumber said there wasn't $200 worth of work there!! City plumbing Are complete crooks!! If you use them make sure you watch their every move wouldn't trust them to walk in my house again. DO NOT THINK OF USING THESE AMATEURS! Very good at inflating your cost on repairs though, very creative! So bad!

Requested repair on a leaking shower valve and replace two frozen shut off valves thru First American Warranty. They sent out City Plumbing, two plumbers came out and proceeded to repair the shower valve, It still does not work before I could try it they left. I will need to call someone else. The shut off valves, too much trouble for them so they freed them up so the handles work but they do not shut off, still let me with a problem. They are only concerned with fix it cheap and get out. not concerned with the customer

Not to sound like a broken record, BUT .........
Nothing I hate worse than being played.  I, too, have (had) American Home Shield  as my warranty provider.  Last week our water heater went out and City Plumbing was designated as our repair service.
They came out and immediately determined we needed a new water heater ... so far, so good.
When I later called AHS to check on the approval, they told me it HAD been approved, but there were incidental charges that would not be covered. Yep, you guessed it, charges totaling $1,350.  I then called City Plumbing for a broken-down inventory of exactly what I was being charged and it was totally ridiculous .... $250 for a permit that the City said cost $94 .... misc supplies $165, EQ straps $155, bracing $100, secure flu $65, bonding $75 and on and on and on. Totally ridiculous!
Obviously, they see an opportunity to gouge the customer.
Checked Yelp and see that most of the reviews commonly allude to this deceptive practice. I can only assume that AHS is either complicit in this, or just doesn't' care.  Either way Bye, Felicia! to BOTH of you!
I will take my business elsewhere.

This has to be the worse company we have ever dealt with when it comes to plumbing. Yes we used home warranty. Why else do we pay for it. They send this company. Yes it's busy holiday season so sure they book a bit further out. No big deal. They fix a  leak but then leaves a big hole in our wall claiming they need home warranty approval to fix it. Ok fine. That's your policy and you cut out a hole to fix a leak but you won't repair the hole unless you know home warranty will pay you back for it. Ok. Turns out they didn't fix the leak. We call back. They sent someone 3 weeks later to fix the hole I said well wait we still have a leak. They say I knew nothing about that. Really, because we spoke to someone in office and they told us they would tell you (the person coming to patch the big hole) that it's still leaking. So what happens....2 more holes cut out of our wall (I get it. Cut the hole, find the leak. But REPAIR THE HOLE) One right through the baseboard. Doesn't bother to remove the baseboard just cuts through it. Then says we won't repair that and home warranty cover it. Wow. Just wow. Then he finds the second leak and says ok I have to put in Approval to home warranty so we still can't fIx any holes or repair the leak. Ok fine. Another 2 and a half weeks go by. They send another person who says he's here to patch a hole. that's it. I said um no we now have 3 holes and we still have a leak. He says he has no report of a leak. BETTER BUSINESS PRACTICE WOULD BE TO MAYBE SEND THE SAME PERSON?BETTER YET, MAKE SURE YOUR REPORTS ARE ACCURATE IF YOURE GOING TO SEND RANDOM PEOPLE. still nothing is fixed. Who knows when it will be fixed.

We called for a malfunctioning toilet. Initially it was a warranty call. He fixed it, under the warranty, but 5 minutes after he left, not flushing again. Called him and he came right back. Took the toilet off and found a dry eraser marker. Of course that isn't covered by warranty. He gave me a discount and fixed the problem. Very reasonable and professional.

They almost killed us. City plumbing was assigned to us through our home warranty AHS. While they were quick in getting our water heater replaced, it was done incorrectly and could have turned out to be a very bad situation.

Firstly, the plumber stated that he is paid per job and not hourly so he wanted to get it done as quick as possible. There were a few issues with getting it drained and it turned out to take about 2.5 hrs.

Second, the water heater was covered by AHS but we had to pay $950 for what they said were regulations. The only thing that was done outside of screwing in the connections was adding two straps. Not quite sure how that adds up that amount.

The main issue though was that the gas line wasn't connected correctly which caused a gas leak. We didn't notice it at first but my wife and I as well as our pets felt sick throughout the night. When I went into the garage the next morning to leave for work, the smell of gas was overwhelming and I got really light headed. I turned off the gas to the house and called out PG&E. They said the gas connection wasn't installed correctly and gas was leaking from two different locations. Thankfully PG&E fixed the issue. He did say we were really lucky because it could have been way bad had we not opened the windows when we went to bed.

The office staff is running a shit show and are completely incompetent, so much that their own plumber told me this last night on the phone.  They had scheduled me to get my water heater replaced and then the plumber calls me and asks what he's coming out.  Told him it was for my water heater and he explained that they never told him and he didn't have one on his truck, so he couldn't get it done.  Even called last night to see if they could come out first thing since it failed to get done, it's now almost noon and not a single damb call from them.  The office staff is absolutely clueless!  The owner should be embarrassed and should start cleaning house!  I would avoid this company at all costs!

Home warranty company sent City plumbing to address water leak in our house.  First Tech said he was not physically able to to climb a ladder to access the attic to find the leak and would need to reschedule another tech later in the week.  mean while we have no running water.  Second tech arrives a day later and after accessing the attic fails to find the leak and again says a reschedule appointment is required.  We canceled the resceduled visit, hired a certified plumber recommended by a friend who arrived promptly, found the leak with in 20 minutes and repaired it with in another 20 minutes.  We will not be using City Plumbing again.

I made a claim with First American Home Warranty on 12/8/2020 for an odor coming from our laundry room and adjoining bathroom. The first time they came out the technician pulled the washing machine out  and told us we just needed to pour bleach down the flood drain, which is located under the washing machine,  use the sink weekly, and pour bleach down the closet drain where you hang wet clothes to dry. He did not check to see if anything was plugged he told us to just pour the bleach down the drains. He left our house without even putting the washing machine back. After he left I poured bleach down the drain under the washing machine and guess what?  The drain was completely plugged. I called the company immediately and they did not answer so I left a message that was never returned. I called my home warranty and let them know my issue so they of course sent City Plumbing back out to complete the job they should've completed the first time out.  Same technician came out the second time and unplugged the plugged drain that he stated was NOT plugged when he came out the first time. He stated that should now take care of the odor problem. This time he put the washing machine back, but I noticed it wasn't sitting back in the right position. I didn't think anything of it until my washing machine started acting up a couple days later. My husband noticed it was sitting uneven in the back, like the back left corner was higher than the front of the machine and the right side. He attempted to pull the machine out, which was nearly impossible, to see if he could figure out what the problem was. It was like the machine was stuck on something and wouldn't budge. We were finally able to get the machine out and found out exactly why the washing machine wouldn't move. The technician had jammed the washing machine back in causing him to take a chunk out of the linoleum and while he was pushing it the torn linoleum chunks got stuck under and behind the washing machine. I contacted City Plumbing on 1/15/2021 to inform them of the problem and have gotten the run around ever since. All I get is, I'll forward this to the owner, the owner is out of town, the owner should be in by noon today, or no response at all. I gave them 24 hours to respond and if I don't hear back I am going to seek other ways to get them to fix the damage their technician has caused. Oh, and the odor is still there! Do not go with this company!!!

CROOKS!  City Plumbing was assigned to come out to clear a sewer backup by our home warranty company.  James came out, ran a camera exam, and cleared the backup.  He then proceeded to tell me that the pipe line in our front yard was collapsed and I would need to pay $1500 to repair it.  I then had the City of Clovis and two other plumbers come out to look and nothing was wrong with it.  The City of Clovis showed me the camera footage and the front yard pipe was pristine.  I can't believe City Plumbing wanted $1500 for a non-existent problem.  Don't use them.  They are dishonest.

The plumbing in my house was backed up, all sinks, showers and toilets. I submitted a service request with AHS on Sunday July 24th at like 8pm and received a call within the hour from City Plumbing which I was not expecting to hear from them until Monday mid day. I gave them a run down of my problem and they had someone out Monday 7/25 mid morning. They snaked my sewage line with a camera and discovered a ton of tree roots so I gave them the OK to dig and replace 2 sections of pipe. While doing they we discovered my house still had Orangeburg pipe and the whole pipe from the house to the street needed to be replaced. I gave the authorization and they went to work that same day, trenching and getting everything ready but leaving us with water usage for the night. The next day (Tuesday 7/26) they replaced the sewage pipe and had them replace the water main as it was old galvanized pipe. They had to dig almost chest deep in my yard and cut a piece of my driveway out to do this work in the 105 degree heat. They dug up my grass in a way that looked like a carpet so they could try and lay it back down as neat as possible when finished and made nice clean cuts into the driveway. They were working for about 9am to 630pm most of the day with of course lunch and water breaks. When they finished they cleaned everything up and laid my grass back down and then put boards over the hole in my driveway and let me know they would be back out in 2 days to fill it in with cement, they just had to make sure the ground was no longer wet as they wet all the dirty and packed it down when refilling the trenches. They did infact come out Thursday 7/27 and fix the holes they had to cut in the cement. They were very professional the whole time and showed my wife everything I asked her to look at before I would give authorization for any new work. I even chatted with one of the guys on the phone while I was at work to ask some questions. I would use this company again for sure and honestly I checked all these reviews before they came out and I was real worried about the experience I was going to have but I am glad I did not request another company. I wish I knew everyones name who worked at my house but I do know one was Robert. One last thing, I am not sure what the going rate in this area is for replacing the whole sewage line and water line with the amount of trenching they had to do but I do have a plumber friend in another state and he said I received a very good deal. I also have family who had an Orangeburg emergency and they paid almost 10 thousand for all theirs, I only paid a fraction of that and had my water line replaced.

I am a renter and my toilet was leaking. My landlord wanted to use his home warranty coverage (American Home Shield) for this.

I want to address why I knocked off 1 star. This company is not so good on returning calls and maybe they put home warranty calls on the lower list of priorities. I called them Friday morning by the end of the day the following Tuesday, I still had not heard from them. I called my landlord and he called them Wednesday morning. They FINALLY called me back Wednesday morning to set up an appointment which was a week out.

They set the appointment timeframe between 3-6pm and the plumber did call 15 min prior to his arrival during this time frame.

The plumber was very nice, I don't remember his name but he was an older man in his 50s that took off his shoes before entering my home and he wore a mask.

My toilet was leaking, he replaced a part and was finished within 15 minutes.

We had a leak in our toilet so called our warranty company. They sent out city plumbing. They came out for the fort appointment and apparently needed a second plumber to do the work, so they rescheduled. We make accommodations to be home when they need to come, they call and say they need to reschedule. Next spot isn't. Date comes along, nobody shows up, nobody calls. So we call them numerous times and nobody ever answers or returns our voicemails. We call the warranty company, magically they answer their call immediately. They reschedule, same thing happens again, nobody shows up, nobody calls, nobody returns the call. Customer service and people schedules clearly are of no importance to this place.

Plumbing problems are never fun.  We had only been in our house for a little over a month and the sewer began to back up.  The Home Warranty sent out City Plumbing. I was so impressed with Daniel and his team.  They worked hard to save us money and help us with replacing the sewer.  The owner Nelson was very impressive too.  I felt taken care of and informed through the entire process.  Even though it was a huge unexpected expense Daniel worked hard into the night to make sure our plumbing was working before they went home.  I highly recommend City Plumbing!  If you are buying a house that's more than 10 years old I highly recommend you get a sewer inspection.  The Home Warranty DOES NOT cover main drain replacements!  Home inspectors don't inspect your sewer!  So spend a few bucks up front to avoid thousands later!  City Plumbing made the best out a bad situation.  They are the best in Fresno!

The service provided by City Plumbing was excellent. They arriv d 10 minutes after the Home warranty request was made. Professional and excellent problem solving skills demonstrated. I referred the company to a colleague who is in escrow for a new home purchase. Fantastic results with a severe drainage stoppage, that is working very well now. James, great job!!!

I had a pilot light that wouldn't stay on, so my house warranty (AHS) called these guys to fix the problem, they were out 3 times and still could not fix a dangerous situation, very frustrating! They would replace a part and then leave without determining if the problem was fixed, failure occurred just minutes after they left.  It's amazing how incompetent this company is considering how fast another competitor fixed the problem very quickly; stay away from these guys, there's other plumbers out there that are more professional and knowledgeable.

Complete rip off.  Guy showed up to give an estimate to replace water heater after insurance.   Just in modified parts not covered by insurance he gave me a quote of $1215.  American Home Shield and these guys are in bed together.  I got multiple quotes without insurance of $1250 which included The water heater, all parts and labor.  Avoid these guys.  Just trying to have ahs not cover anything and they make extra money on the side.

Called my home warranty company after finding a leaky valve and they sent the service request to city plumbing. I never was contacted by them, even after leaving a message. After 48 hrs with no calls or response from City Plumbing, I called my home warranty company again and had them send out a new contractor. They sent out a great company who was here the next day and fixed the problem. This was my second experience with City Plumbing, my first was in 2012 when they were sent out by home warranty company again to clean out a clogged sewer line in my yard. They did the service and recommended replacing the trap for $1100. I balked at the price but the guy said he could do it for $800 under the table. I was shocked to hear an employee so willing to undercut his employer and perform non-guaranteed work on a customer's home. I would not recommend City Plumbing to anyone.

Thee worst experience ever in my 81 years! Beware! City Plumbing has a huge Red Flag warning. They took my service fee and then nothing but one excuse after another why they did not need to fix it. Their repair man said our water heater was cracked and he would return on Monday with a new one. Did not happen, talked to the manager, an arrogant, rude, dumb piece of work, and was told our policy didn't cover water heaters which was false. Where does American Home Shield find such low standard repair persons? The better Business Bureau needs to hear of this rip off place. Stay away from City Plumbing, and shame on AHS for bounding  us back and forth between these low standard companies. City Plumbing's only customers are provided by AHS. Easy to believe that after this past experience.

My wife and I have called city plumbing twice for 2 different issues, and we where very hesitant after reading all the negative reviews. Daniel not only handled our problems but very respectful, knowledgeable and awesome around my kids he was friendly and nice enough to return the hello when told hello by my kids. Overall if you have any issues request him cause he gets the job done and explains everything to where you can not only understand but make you feel confident that the job was done right!

On a Friday evening at 5:30, my husband discovered that we had no hot water. Oh boy, this is great - I now get to use the new home warranty we purchased - on a weekend. I don't even know how to find the website, forgot my password I set up 6 weeks ago - argh! Finally put in the service request online with First American at 5:50, and City Plumbing was assigned to our call. They called Saturday morning at 9:30 to schedule the service appointment for later that day. Ramon arrived within the Noon to 3pm window. He was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. He quickly found - and fixed - the issue that had caused the pilot light to go out: a burned-out thermocouple. The whole visit was less than a half hour, and we were back in hot water again! (In this case, that was a good thing!)

We called them to check out a leak we have in the restroom. When they left they turned off our water completely because the plumber couldn't fix the problem. So this is the second day without water because if we turn the water on the hot water in the shower won't stop running when prior to that it was working. It was just a small leak. I called to the office three times and I was told the plumber did not submit the paper work so to give them 24 hrs on top of that. So here I am having to go shower else where till they get there paper work together. Bad service over all.

My home warranty assigned them for a backed up drain.  They never called to set an appointment.  I called them.  They cant come to my city till Thursday but set an appointment time.  After a four day wait they never showed up.  I called at the appointed time and they said the would call back in 10 minutes with a time the plumber would arrive.  He was working at another house.  I waited an hour for a call back, then called the office again.  I got no answer and it went to the messaging service.  I called back numerous times for four hours leaving messages that were never returned.  Even today they have not returned them.  They are highly un professional!  If you cant make the appointment at least let the customer know.

Hot water heater went out in June 2021. Home warranty company assigned this company. Took 3 weeks to get a technician to our home. He confirmed the unit needed to be replaced. New work order submitted. No call back with information as to new appointment for several days. Finally got ahold of someone and the appointment was set for another 3 weeks out. Technician arrives to install and realizes he forgot to bring a new stand. Went to Home Depot to purchase a new one (total cost is $80 from HD). Comes back to do install. Over $750 out of pocket for us, due to City Plumbing charging $250 for the $80 stand, plus triple charging the amount for the permit as well as other up charges. 10 months later our water heater stops working again, so we call because it's under warranty. Said we would get a call back and after 2 weeks with no word, call back again. Technician shows up and says he has found the issue and part is ordered, we will get a call. 2 more weeks and no call back. Call CP and are told the manufacturer should have called us. Never mentioned this before. Says CP will call us back the next day. Surprisingly, they did not. Called CP again and now the part that would be here in 3-5 days is now delayed and it'll be 7-10 days from date of order. But now it's already been more than 2 weeks, so there's that. Such a frustrating and dishonest company that seemingly has zero follow through or organizational skills. The only positive I can say is that the staff that we have dealt with have been polite while telling us what they think we want to hear.

City plumbing showed up through my home Warrenty to fix a clog sink .
Tech said there is no clean out under the sink i can't do nothing until i call the Warrenty.
Warrenty would not cover putting a proper clean out wich is fine .
But when a tech tells me all the lines are glued under the sink it all needs to be cut out and redone.
In disbelief after he leaves we look under the sink to see its all screw togethet fittings and they give us a estimate of 450$ to put the pipe in !!
After removing the pipes BUY HAND .
CLEAR THE PLUG . WE'RE IN BUSINESS.

One star rating is wayyyyyy too generous. This company came to Check our faucet cartridges and hot water heater and we never heard back. This was an American home shield claim. I called them over the course of 3 weeks and never got an answer. Finally did and woman told me a technician would call me the following day. Two weeks later I'm still trying to request a new contractor. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Save yourself the headache. 100% unprofessional

For all the negative reviews these guys get I figured I needed to give credit where credit is due because my experience with them was very positive overall.

I had the hot water heater at my rental go out on a Sunday so I submitted a warranty claim through AHS.  Once I saw they assigned City Plumbing (CP) I was more than a little concerned so I called AHS to ask for another company but they said CP had the most availability to address it quickly.  Additionally, the other company they work with had worse reviews so I rolled with it.

On Monday I got a call from CP asking if we could do an appointment on Wednesday which was fine but when I suggested a video diagnosis they said they could do one that afternoon which was even better.  A gentleman from CP reached out to my tenant that afternoon and did an initial video call but then called back a bit later to do some more troubleshooting and determined that it was a faulty burner assembly.  Seeing as how ours is an older model, he had to order the part which was delivered on Wednesday and a CP office worker called to schedule the install for Friday between 12-3.  I got a call from Daniel just before 1:00 saying he was 15 minutes out to ensure someone would be home.  Daniel arrived right at 1:15, replaced the part, and my tenant texted me at 2:00 to say they were up and running and should have hot water as soon as it can heat up the tank.

All in all I had a great experience with CP and all involved from the office staff to the installers that my tenant said were both very professional.  Maybe I got lucky, maybe they are making more of an effort, or maybe the only people that put reviews up are for the bad experiences.  Either way, they deserve a great review based on my experience and I wouldn't be worried or upset if AHS dispatched them for any future plumbing issues I may have.

James did a great job fixing issues in our huge work order.  He was kind & courteous and quick & effective.  He even saved us from having to replace our kitchen faucet, which was his and my initial assessment.  After quickly fixing 6 other separate issues and before he left, he decided to take a closer look to investigate a hunch he had with the kitchen faucet, which had a huge leak.  His hunch paid off and, after another quick fix, the faucet works well without making a mess.  Great job James!  Yeah, no 2nd visit required.

Our home warranty company American Home Shield sent them to us to diagnose and fix our water heater problem.... we had no hot water. The tech named Jorge came out on a Tuesday, told us he needed a part and would call back later that day, never heard from him again. Throughout the rest of the week we called, texted and emailed them numerous times and not once did they ever respond. They totally GHOSTED US. On Saturday I called AHS to complain and the rep there called City Plumbing and they answered.... still no part. A couple minutes later after hanging up with AHS I called City Plumbing and once again they wouldn't answer MY call. My husband tried calling again the following Monday and the gal actually picked up. She told him she had to check with the tech to find out the status of the part and she'd call him right back. NO ONE EVER CALLED HIM BACK. After bathing in cold water for over a week (it's January) and having no idea when we would actually have hot water again we decided to pay for the repairs out of pocket and we called Fresno Plumbing who had been referred to us. They were out the same day, and will be bringing our new water heater ($1700) to us on Thursday. It's worth the money to be rid of City Plumbing. If you want great service and someone who will answer the phone CALL FRESNO PLUMBING.

Terrible terrible terrible
Had a pipe break in my bathtub. My home warranty assigned this company was two hours late. Was at our home for 10 min and told us to get to the pipe we needed an electrician. He then told our warranty that we purposely broke our own pipe and recommended not being covered. We called our warranty company and protested they sent out Central Valley Plumbing  maintenance who came out the next day fixed it in 30 minutes and said who would ever break their own pipe.  I believe this company was fishing for more money and I would never use them or recommend them to anybody.

This company stands up to its name, as others have mentioned, they are HORRIBLE, they do not return calls, do not show up when they say they will. My gas has been off for two week, no HOT water and it's horrible. Worst thing is AHS.... AHS is horrible company for contracting with this company. After this stupid company finally finishes what they are suppose to, definitely going to cancel AHS and sign with First American home buyers. My friends and sister has it and they say wonderful things about that home warranty. AHS and city plumbing are horrible companies.

City Plumbing was contracted with My American Home Shield policy.  I initiated the call in August, 2020 for a leak in the upstairs bath.  They have sent plumbers out 4 times and still not repaired!  It is now October 22,2020.  They have scheduled and rescheduled me numerous times due to not having a helper.  On the 2nd time they showed up a small hole was cut in the garage ceiling in order to see if they could find the problem.  Hole has still not been repaired and they say they can't repair through the area they cut open.  Said they would need to come back out and cut through a wall in the stairwell to get to the plumbing.  They showed up today and tried to replace a cartridge, but couldn't do it.  Said they would have to call their company and get authorization to go through the wall.  They were supposed to have already received authorization to go through the wall for today's appointment.  They again left without repairing and said they would contact us later.  They have been here 4 TIMES and still no repair.  Do whatever you can to avoid this company!!

This company was selected for us by AHS and had I seen their reviews prior, I would have looked elsewhere. My renters reported a gas leak Dec. 5, 2022, so PG&E came out and turned off the gas (it's a gas stove/oven and heater.) I submitted a claim with AHS, and they selected City Plumbing, in Visalia (about 25 miles away), who first came Dec. 8th, but it seemed like Lemoore was their last stop which meant the job didn't get fixed numerous times because the technician said it had gotten too dark. By Dec. 21st, they rescheduled us again (they no showed the 20th) but they had us over a barrel so we just had to pray they would show-up Dec. 23rd. Thank God, they got it finished today, two days before Christmas so my renters don't have to continue FREEZING; however, because it's Friday before Christmas (on Sunday) the Gas Company is CLOSED! We called the emergency line for the Gas Co, and they sent someone that happened to be in the neighborhood. Santa brought my renters HEAT but waiting a month when the outside temps are in the 30's is no good. I advised them there was an elderly woman with health issues living within the igloo, to no avail. After they didn't get it fixed last Friday (Dec. 19th), I bought four space heaters for the house. Those blew out circuits so that cost me another couple of hundred dollars to replace the circuit panel.  I'm pretty sure I'll be ending my AHS contract too because I'm starting to feel like they don't vet these companies. This is the second company that has jacked us around since August!

My RENTAL home kitchen sink backed up on a Thurs. nite. The property mgmt company had to get the owners OK before we could get a plumber sent out so it went over the weekend into Monday before City Plumbing arrived.  But JAMES the plumber is GREAT!!! So Glad We Got Him on our Job!  He's experienced, professional and very clean - and respectful.
After the initial scheduling w/ the rather-too serious office gal we were not expecting a good experience. We nicely requested being placed as close to 1st on their schedule because of work-loss-$$ as well as the disgusting standing-water in the sink (I finally bailed that out myself). She told us quite clearly 'schedules are between 8 - noon SHE has No Control over who gets what time.' James called at 11:30am and arrived shortly before noon (so much for 1/2 day off at work....but we figured that just from her phone attitude - however the plumber made up for that). Thanks, James should be commended for a Great Job!

Through my home warranty provider, City Plumbimg was sent to my house to fix some drips in the kitchen and bathroom. Upon arrival, the inept journeyman did his assessment, inform me of his recommendations and that he would request approval for parts and work through my warrany company. During his assessmnet the inept journeyman worked on the kitchen faucet abit and then he left. I then went to the kitchen to wash my hands and I immediately realize that the faucet had gone from a drip to a flow of water that required me to turn off the water. I called City Plumbing and was informed that I could contact the inept journeyman directly and I was told by him emergancy journeyman to help with the faucet. Here it is the following morning and still have no contact from the inept journeyman, or the emergancy journeyman. As for my water? It remains turned off.

I have been a homeowner for over 30 years and I have never in my life had such a negative experience with the company for home repairs as I have with city plumbing. The owner Nelson actually had the nerve to promise me that they would fix the problem that they had not done originally, scheduled a time to show up to fix it, had me takeoff the day for work. Not only did they not show up it has been three weeks and he has still not called to explain why they did not show up. His company should be put out of business permanently. I have never written a bad review on any company or employee that I have hired for service. I have also never had a complaint about any of the many companies that I have hired for air-conditioning repair, hot water tank maintenance, drywalling, and solar installation/repair. City plumbing is by far the worst I have ever experienced in my life. If you hire them you deserve everything you get because I am telling you not to do it. I am not paid to talk badly about this company nor am I employed by any other service industry related to this company. I am a homeowner simply trying to help other homeowners by the shark.

I am sorry that I do not have the option to give 0 stars to this company. They were sent to fix a faucet, contracted by AHS with whom we have a policy. After checking the faucet we were told that AHS needs to approve the work.  After 2 weeks, after calling AHS we found that City Plumbing lied in their report. AHS rep called them while still on the call with us and they never answered. Message was left to them by the rep and by us to come back and complete the job - job that by the way, they already have been paid. Never called back and never completed the job.

I had City plumbing come out on Friday morning June 2. I was not happy about the first tech that came out.
I called the office Friday afternoon to complain about the tech sent out. The owner of the company offered his apology & even went out of his way to send another tech out on Sat. morning June 3. This company is closed on Saturdays so I was impressed when Nelson offered the service. Justin was the 2nd tech sent on Sat very knowledgeable about his trade.
Justin had the problem solved within 45 mins.Good to know that customer service is still alive.
With that said Thank You Nelson for sending Just In Time (Justin) I am very pleased with the service job done.

If I could give a -10 on this rating, I would.  My home warranty referred them as our contracted company to fix my leaky shower.  Initially, the company came out as scheduled and the plumber stated he needed to order a part.  After not hearing from them for a few days, both my husband and I attempted to call.  Each time we called, we were placed on hold for 45+ minutes.  When I could finally get ahold of someone, they stated that the part would take a week or more to come in.  I called weekly for follow ups as they never reached out to their us.  I was the. Told the part would take 3 weeks.  At three weeks I called and was told the part would be here in a day or two.  I called everyday- on hold for 45+ minutes every time.  I was finally told the part was in on a Wednesday and scheduled the plumber to come back out that Friday.  He never showed.  I called multiple times and was told he would be out- no show.
The following Monday, City Plumbing reached out to my home warranty company hours before they were supposed to come to my home for their rescheduled appointment- they told my home warranty that they could t get the part!!! Lies! They told me they had it.  Luckily, I was referred to another company, but City Plumbing is unprofessional, liers, and ridiculous!!!

Worse company ever! I would give zero stars if I could. If you have ever had your water heater replaced by them make sure they give you a reference number for the permit they supposedly pulled. This company is charging you a $150 permit fee and not pulling it! Be aware!!!!

Terrible service! First time, the plumber that was scheduled to come was a no show claiming that he called and I didn't answer, but in reality I had NO missed call. The second time he came and only assessed but didn't fix it. The third time, I waited 5 hours for him to show up. He said he will be there between 12-3, but didn't show up till after 5pm. It's unbelievable.

Ramon with City Plumbing did a great job! We sent a request for service to Fidelity Home Warranty, the service rep called us to set up the claim and within 1 - 2 hours we received a call to set up the service appointment. He was on time, easy to talk to, answered all of my questions (I had a lot), and did more than I could have expected.
He was able to fix both of my bathroom sinks, toilet and kitchen sink. Ramon explained options for replacing one of the fixtures which was not working. My husband and I have since called the service back for additional services.
I would recommend Ramon at City Plumbing to any of my family members and/or friends.

I have had nothing but negative interactions with this company. I contacted all city plumbing through my AHS insurance. All city plumbing contacted me within a few hours and we agreed upon a date and time of Friday between 3-6. I was informed it was their policy to give a 15 minute call ahead. I received no call ahead only a note when I returned home to call a office number that led me to a voicemail. I had to contact the company next Monday. Then the technician gave me a 15 minute call ahead and came an hour later. When the technician's arrived they were lackluster at best and offered no real help, solutions or advice. They poked the ground with a shovel and said they could not find a clean out valve. The attempt to find my valve was done with very little enthusiasm. Only upon request by me did they check the rest of the house. I was then informed by AHS that all city plumbing should have used a camera to investigate if it was even a mainline issue in the first place. All of this could have been avoided if all city plumbing would have told me to check for a clean out valve. Instead they send out a technician to tell me I have no valve and charge me $75 for a 20 minute talk that was 3 days late.

It's not often I write negative reviews...if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all...this being an exception. My home warranty company dispatched City Plumbing...was a bit leery due to the mixed reviews I read coupled with a prior not-so-positive service experience...unplugged my toilet and badly scratched it with a snake...but I gave this company the benefit of doubt and am now wanting others to be aware that the men this company sends to repair plumbing problems are not plumbers but technicians.  The tech who was sent to repair  water leaks in both my showers did nothing but make things worse.  After the initial visit, a no-show and, then, a second/final visit, I've concluded my showers would have been better off if they had not been touched by the so-called senior technician who attempted twice to stop shower spigot leaks that any legitimate plumber could have fixed with his eyes closed. As is obvious. I am not, in the least, satisfied with the outcome.  Beware of these wolves in sheep's clothing.

My claim was started 12/7/21 and is not even touched today, 2/7/2022. City plumbing is the worst company I have ever done business with.  I had a leaking faucet and they sent someone out who mumbled and said he couldn't do it.  Waited for someone to call me back from the company, never happened. No answer at their office, no message returned to me. FAHW contacted them and set up an appointment. They never showed after 5 hours . Called them 3 times, greeted with Hold each time and left me holding each time and never came back.  If they treat a customer like this, I hate to see the type of work they would do on your home.

I would give zero stars if that was possible.
So in late October we filed a claim with our insurance who unfortunately use this company for business. They gave us an appointment date and time and I left work to wait. well I waited and waited and no one came. we called and the hit said oh he forgot. HE FORGOT to come to our home. so they rescheduled for next day and I once again left work and he finally came. he fixed it and left. mid November the water heater gave out again completely. we called and filed a new claim with our home insurance and this company came out again on November 29th. The technician told me he was going to have the part ordered and once it arrived he would come and install. Fast forward to December 15th I told my husband it was cold and I could not shower with cold water any longer. Mind you Fresno is not the warmest in winter time! My husband called and they told him that they FORGOT to order the part. at this point I am boiling inside with rage. so okay they ordered the part now. my husband called yesterday and they told him oh let me call you back and they did not. so today it is December 29. one month later we have no answers. no warm water. my young children cry during their bucket showers. i use a space heater to warm up the restroom to try to make it better we boil water to try to warm it up as best we can but this is just ridiculous. DO NOT pick this company.

Absolutely terrible plumbers.  They are not responsive and provided horrible service.  Took over a month of dealing with them through home warranty to realize they are not qualified.  Home warranty agreed and sent another company to solve the problem. My home warranty company selected City Plumbing to do the work on my home in the foothills. It took two days for City Plumbing to get back to me, and we scheduled a date and time. Since I could not make the appointment, a neighbor let the plumber in. The verdict: Plumber could not fix the clogged pipe.  When my home warranty company told me they would not cover additional work, I left a couple of messages for the plumber to call me to discuss the situation. That was two weeks ago. Still have not heard from City Plumbing. If you want a reply to your questions, don't bother leaving a message. No one will call you back. Oh, one more thing, half the time their voicemail is full, so that is also a waste of time.

Update: I found a local plumber who took a look a the stoppage and found the appropriate sized snake to clear it up. Twenty minutes later, the drain was clear. Still can't figure out why City Plumbing couldn't do some basic work.

This company is a joke!! I cannot believe it is still in business. I have not come across a more unprofessional bunch of people. Their lack of integrity disgusts me. I hope none of you have the misfortune of dealing with them.
We had a leak in the spray hose in our kitchen faucet. A technician by the name of David came to check it out and said that the part had to be ordered. He said that he would put in an order right away and would call me when it came in. They never bothered to call me and whenever I complained to my home warranty company about them, City Plumbing told lies and made excuses for their inefficiency which ranged from the technician falling sick to the manufacturers sending the wrong spray hose. It was getting to be a month and still there was no call from them. Our home warranty company sent PR Plumbing to our house for a second opinion. PR Plumbing to able to order the product and fix the leak in one week.
If I could leave a zero star rating for this company, I would definitely give that to them for their extreme apathy to the needs of customers. It was so frustrating to deal with them.

If I could give 0 Stars I would. This company is fraudulent, they were sent to our house by my home warranty company, for a covered repair. City Plumbing tried to charge me nearly $1200 in uncovered cost. Price gouging with every line item billed, $200 for an $81 county permit, $345 for a $30 water heater stand, $175 for $20 eathquake straps. When I contacted Nelson Blakeman regarding negotiating charges or allowing me to purchase my own accessories from Home Depot due to what I thought was excessive charges he would not return my call or emails. Every time I called office I would be put on extended waits and then disconnected or told no one was available when they came back to line, calls never returned. Total charges for a standard 40 gal Water Heater is over $1800 when you add up what warranty and I would have paid out Even though I can purchase all parts including WH from Home Depot for less than $650. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT!

American home shield sent to our house. They said they would arrive between 12-3. Took the day off. They no showed. Next time they arrived at 6:30pm in middle of dinner after I took half day off for another 12-3 arrival.

Came in stinking of cigarettes and beer. Didn't look at anything but one issue of the three they were supposed to. Straight lied in their report to home shield saying we wouldn't let them look at other issues.

These ratings hardly ever lie. So believe me their rating speaks for itse

Update. They came out to test for gas leak. Said there was leak. We call american home shield and they tell us city plumbing said no leak

Had a gas leak and gas was turned off.  Warranty Co., AHS, assigned City Plumbing and I was told they would contact me within 24 hours.  At the 24th. hour, I called them.  They came out the next day and said that they needed approval for repairs, and would possibly be out the within the next two days. (A weekend)  I called on Monday, said they would get back to me within 20 minutes. Called that afternoon, left message.
After numerous calls, with no responses and calls to AHS, City showed up on Wednesday and fixed it incorrectly.  Had to call again and they sent another man out on Thursday and finally done right.  Do not waste your time on this company.  Nothing but frustration and lack of common courtesy in responding to calls.

I wish I had the same positive experience as the person who wrote the first review unfortunately this was not the case. Our water heater stopped heating so we called City Plumbing to come out and take a look at it, he stated that the sensor was out and that he would need to order the part, he then stated it would be two business days before the part would come in and he would be back then to install the sensor. It has now been over two weeks and we still don't have the sensor installed on our water heater. He also stated the part was ordered in Madera, yet I live in Clovis and his business is in Fresno, please tell me how this makes sense to you? Why wouldn't he spend money locally or go with another company more local that actually had the partin stock, if this is the cause for delay? In my opinion I feel the first review was possibly written by the owner or a friend because they have a couple of open complaints with the BBB and only one was resolved, they also have an F rating with the BBB which speaks vloumes to me, especially with the service we have received from this business. All I can say s good luck if you decide to use this company....use at your own risk!

Would love to put zero stars here. The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Initially  this slack jawed lackadaisical guy was dispatched to our house by American Home Shield Warranty. There was sewage that backed up in the house. The first employee acted like the job was going to be too much work. So I called the owner who actually responded by sending another plumber. Whoever this was actually assessed the situation and was very good about explaining the problem. He said because the first guy who came out was so anti-work that they would give $275 off of the total job whatever that may be. This $275 would cover the cost of the camera they had to put in the line that showed where the backup was. Sounded fine to me.

However, this is when the fun started. The plumber who came out the night before didn't communicate at all what needed to happen the day or if he did, the other guys who work for this place ignored it. They spend all day digging in the wrong place and when I got home from work I actually had to find out/point out where to dig to find the problem. The only way I knew that is because the plumber who came out the night before told me where the problem possibly could be. However, these guys decided to dig in the wrong spot and try to find the most expensive solution. Am I a friggin plumber...no! Why would they not dig in the spot where the problem would most likely be first!!!!?????  And yes you guessed it, nobody told each other about the $275 discount. They gave me $100 off after I talked w/ the owner again.

They did fix the initial problem but actually took all day to do so and that could have been avoided had they followed the original instructions one plumber gave me the previous day.

Here comes the best part......while digging in the wrong place, they hit a sprinkler line! Are you joking...... and now there is a geyser every time we turned on the sprinklers. Why would sprinklers be working great the day before and then after they dig in one spot it is flooding?  Even the gardener backed this up.

It gets better.....after another guy came out to analyze the situation, he said indeed it was City Plumbing's fault and he would send a guy out. So they sent another plumber out. He didn't knock on the door or tell us when he was coming or going (which is fine if you fix the problem). You know what he did?! UN GOTS! If you don't know what that is look it up online or ask an Italian friend.

So they came out, dug in the wrong spot then only dug in the right spot when I told them to dig there and then hit a sprinkler line and claimed to fix it but didn't.

Fantastic craftsmanship. You guys should be really really proud. The only reason we used them initially was because of American Home Shield. I wish you wouldn't have even heard of this outfit. ZERO COMMUNICATION. Horrible customer service.

Now I am calling Vern's or another plumber that I heard does a good job to fix your mistake.

Read Colette's review it is right on the money. Very frustrating dealing w/ these people who are either not skilled at their job or know they are trying to drag jobs out for you to pay more. Either way they can't be trusted.

not sure about their service, because they NEVER came out to service my plumbing issues. I received a missed call from them and IMMEDIATELY called back. No answer. I get it, they're probably busy. I proceeded to call back 3 times of the course of a week, and left 2 messages. A week and half has passed and I still have received NO communication. Got in contact with American Home Shield, they said a woman named Hannah would call me. 4 days pass. Still no contact from the company. I finally got the okay to cancel this contractor. if you're looking up this company's reviews because they were dispatched to you through AHS, get in contact with customer service now. These guys are horrible and avoid at all cost.  They are sent out by our home warranty company, First National Warranty, and did a poor job to clean out the sewer line and replace a leaking faucet.  The faucet still leaked after they fixed it, and they ran a snake through the line then promptly declared they could not clear it and would need to dig up the line or run a camera through.  This is not the first time they said an item was not fixable under the warranty.  I'll be asking the warranty to avoid this company in the future.

if there could be a lower star than 1 I would give that to city plumbing.  what they need is a technician that knows what they are doing.  we contacted AHS and city plumbing was dispatched.  the technician was rude and condescending from the get go. he told us he must get permission from AHS to repair a toilet that was not working properly.  I then received a call from AHS saying the technician says our problem was not from normal wear and tear.  I asked him why and to explain why a broken valve is not normal wear and tear.  he said the insurance would not cover this repair but he could order new parts and fix it for another charge.  after talking to AHS they decided to send another company out, which they did fixed our problem in 30 minutes all under our policy.  I recommend everyone to stay away from City Plumbing at all costs

We had the most bizarre experience with City Plumbing.  We were working with them through our home warranty (First American) and would recommend avoiding them.  Our water heater went out just before Thanksgiving and we were assigned to them.  A plumber came out, said we needed a new heater, and would send in the info to the insurance company. He said it takes a few days to get the permit from the city so they can't get us in until the next Monday (it was Wednesday).

The next day we received a notice from our home warranty about what was and was not covered.  Looking at the breakdown, I was a little confused because they had the earthquake straps as $125 and a water pan as $200.  I looked online and the parts were no more than $20 so I wanted to get a better understanding of the labor involved so I was told to talk to City Plumbing.  I spoke with the owner who said that they have sent in the pricing and it may vary.  I asked if I could by the parts and just pay for the labor and he said no problem, he even told me which parts exactly to get.  I asked for an estimate on the labor and he said he couldn't tell without seeing it and that the plumber who does the install will have to let me know.  I was so happy that they would work with us and went to Lowes to buy the parts.  I called my warranty to let them know and ask if there was anything I needed to do - they wanted to verify with City but any time they called they couldn't get a hold of anyone or be told they would call them back and then they didn't.  This raised a red flag, but I was eager to get the water heater (they couldn't get us in for a week to do the actual replacement).

Fast forward to installation - the plumber calls and says he is on his way.  I call their main office to ask what to do about the bill - do I wait until the end? Do I pay ahead of time and he provides a bid? The receptionist was extremely rude and said that they wouldn't adjust the bill and she had no idea what I was talking about and that I needed to work it out directly with the plumber.  I knew we were headed for trouble.

The plumber arrived very late and apologized and said he had to pull permits (which I thought was the whole reason we had to wait a week...) and my husband and I greeted him.  I asked his hourly rate, which he provided.  I then told him the whole situation and asked what the adjusted labor would be - he said the same.  All they could do is take of the cost I paid for the parts.  I said that I was frustrated since i was told something different by the owner - like why would i go through the effort to get the parts if my out of pocket is exactly the same?  But ok that is fine.  He said if we didn't trust him, we shouldn't have him do the work.  We said it isn't a matter of trust, since we haven't dealt with him directly, but that it was frustrating to be told one thing and then when it comes time to do the work be told something totally different.  He said he didn't feel comfortable.  We were completely confused.  Nothing was escalated, no one was that angry or accusatory towards him...we were simply doing what the receptionist told us to.  We said that we had waited for a week and really need a water heater and no problem about the fees, we just want our water heater installed.  He then said he would not do any work until we gave him a check and he knows it will clear.  Though totally offensive, I was that desperate for a warm shower so I go in to get the checkbook and come out and he is packing his stuff.    Then he said Actually... you need a CO2 inspector to come so I can't do the work.  You need a specialist And he left.

Totally floored we called our home warranty and they were just as surprised as we were given the call history and notes supporting what we believed should have happened.  Since our options were to wait for City to send another technician or cash out, we took the latter option.  With the check, we went to another plumber (see reviews) who did all of the work for just less than what we cashed out for saving us $600.

I haven't yet had any business done from this company yet but thought i can give my very brief experience. My water heater is leaking, so I contacted AHS and they sent this company out. I was told between the hours of 12-5 they will be at my home. They didn't come until after 6:30pm after I contacted AHS again to ask if they were still coming out. So guy came very nice, he looked at my water heater I told him i looked around to see where the leak was coming from and none of the outside pipes were leaking. So he tore off a little section of the cover that goes around the water heater and said you need a new one, this one is old. Okay not a problem I believe it is old because I bought the house a year ago and it was used as a rental home based on what my neighbors told me. So he left, few days later I get a call from AHS $650 I'm being quoted. For a bunch of different modifications to bring the water heater to code base on this new law. Well again I bought the house a year ago and while doing all my inspections that was one thing that came up was the water heater needed to be secure. So my problem is what else needs to be done to my water heater. What I'm thinking its a drop and go since my unit has the straps to keep it down, some kind of release of extra water hose. So I'm not understanding why I'm quoted so high. So I went to Home Depot one day for different items and the water heater where in my isle so I ask the associate some questions and told him my dilemma and about how I bought the house a year ago and all that I'm being quoted for has been done. He also agreed with me and said that Home Depot wouldn't charge that much to install a water heater. That the price I'm being quoted for will be about the same price of purchasing a water heater from Home Depot and having them to install it. So because I do not have $650 to spend due to a loss in my family and me being on bereavement I still have a leaking water heater. But since I'm back at work I think I might go the Home Depot route.

Worst plumbing company ever. They wanted us to move our house out of the way for access to the water heater so that the tech could reach it. Another company did the job in 2 hrs, whereas City plumbing took over a week, just for diagnosis.

Horrible service.  Installed the wrong water heater; had to call them frequently to find out when they were coming back to fix their issue. Refused to hook up the water heater electric and left that entirely up to me to figure it out.  Every step in the process of dealing with this company was terrible.  I told my home warranty company to take them off the list as they do NOT provide service.  Cost me well over $1100 for poor service.  I do NOT recommend this company to anyone!

Terrible!  We have American Home Shield and our water heater went out early on a Saturday morning.  They sent the claim to this company and we didn't receive a call back until late afternoon on Monday.  I guess no hot water is not a priority for this company.  If you don't work weekends then you need to specify that to companies who refer work to you.  Bad business.  Ended up having it fixed by another company.

Our home warranty company sent out City Plumbing.  Had to wait for 2 weeks for an appointment.  Time was from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Didn't show up until 1:30 pm. Was very efficient getting the new garbage disposal in.  Problem came when we asked for the warranty papers on the disposal and they refused.  Called the warranty company and they said they had nothing and to request from City Plumbing.  The receptionist promised many times and noting happened.  Finally got to the owner and he also refused to send or email warranty papers to us.  Don't trust them and advised the warranty company to never send them out to us again.

My grandmother's warranty company selected CIty Plumbing to replace her hot water heater. Two months later she is still waiting for her water heater to be replaced!
They haven't submitted the correct paperwork to the county and have not submitted payment for the permit!
My grandmother has not had access to running hot water for over two months. I am extremely concerned about the potential fall risk and possibilty of burns from scalding water due to having to boil and carry hot water around her home.
The one star is only for the receptionists who answer the phone and are very nice when explaining the unnecessary delays in service.
Please DO NOT use this plumbing service!

This company was assigned from our home warranty provider to fix a plumbing stoppage. The serviceman that came out was nice enough but recommended a $600 installation and said he couldn't fix the stoppage. We called another contractor out for a second opinion and he was able to clear it in 20 minutes for $150. I know the home warranty folks don't want to approve claims so I don't totally hold it against them. ymmv

I'd give no stars if I could, I requested help with no hot water pressure in all bathrooms and kitchen.  The guy came fixed hot water in laundry room-which I was not having issues...then said that had to diagnose in less than an hour or my home shield would have issues (i don't believe that!) and low and behold my hot water pressure is still the same and the plumber left at 55mins on the dot!! Thanks but no thanks this is the second time I had issues with same company the first time I just let it go. The professionalism was sub par at best and would NEVER recommend this plumber!!!

Scheduled through American Home Shield.  Set appointment and they were a no show.  No phone call or anything.  I called the next day and was told that they showed the issue was completed.  I explained it wasn't and after a long hold I was told that they system didn't dispatch someone out.  So I rescheduled for that same day between noon and 3 PM.  Again...no show.  I called at 3:40 PM and was told the plumber was running behind.  I don't know why they couldn't call to explain that.  Canceled the service call and I will be going with another company.

WORTHLESS DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!!!

They came out to fix a water heater through home warranty America home shield.  They said the part that was broken was broken by someone and would not warrant the part.  So we called Cost Plus Plumbing who by the way are AWESOME!!!!!!  They came a couple hours after City plumbing left and within an hour they had if fixed and charged us less for parts and labor than City plumbing did to look at it and say it was broken by someone.  Cost Plus Plumbing also said that the part that was broken was regular wear and tear that it was not damaged by anyone it is a very common issue.

This company is working in cahoots with American Home Shield warranty.
They took my service fee and then left without doing anything. I mean, literally anything!

On Sept 14th, after submiting a claim thru AHS, AHS contracted with City Plumbing.

Their tech came out and spent approx. 10 minutes ~  long enough to get the co-pay, and yet they did absolutely nothing, I mean NOTHING. He looked at the water heater, touch couple of things and left, to never hear from them again.

After two weeks of waiting I called the warranty company, just to wait on the phone for over 30 minutes. When I finally was able to reached somebody, they could barely speak English. I was told that the claim was denied due to a code violation. When I asked any questions, they will pause for several minutes, (probably looking at google translate) and answered the question, which had nothing to do with what I had asked.

This went on for several weeks. I finally called City Plumbing back to get more information on the code violation, I was told I needed to speak with the plumber. I left my phone number and info for them to call me back. It's been one month and I am still waiting.

Don't trust American Home Shield nor City Plumbing. This is a SCAM they are both working together.

Read other comments and you will see the similarities.

Iam sadly not surprised to see the poor reviews this company has.Frankly, they should NOT be used by any Insurance or Home warranty company.
I had a bathroom faucet repair issue and was recommended this company via my Home warranty company. It was an overall nightmare experience... My experience seems to align with all the other reviews in the form of very poor communication and more importantly.. not truthful. It is not worthwhile to spend any more time on this pathetic company but I thought it was improtant to share this experience with everyone to help others. Iam in the process of reporting them to BBB and consumer affairs. They dont even deserve a star. They are an embarassment !

This is the WORST company I've ever dealt with in Fresno. They're the worst in  EVERY aspect of doing business!! Terrible customer service, not on time, never keep you informed & they've never actually *FIXED* anything in 3 visits over a year! My kitchen sink leak WAS NEVER coming from the disposal they replaced. I called & called, never got a return call. They told home warranty the leak was fixed. The faucet was leaking for over a year. AHS sent out another plumber after I told them I will never accept this plumber again.

WOW, had an issue with out electric under the counter mini water heater, it failed after 10 years. 10/14 Called our home warranty company, they assigned City Plumbing, tech cam out to inspect, stated he needed authorization from warranty company. Called Warranty company after 4 days, they stated City never processed a diagnostic evaluation report.

Called City, they stated they were waiting for the warranty company.  Called City 10/20, stated they were still waiting. Called the warranty 10/20 they stated they would cover the heater but, City was going to charge me an out of pocket expense modifications to install a heater drain pan, which already exists, a drain pan drain, which already exists, and a tank overflow drain, which already exists, all to the tune of 1300.00 dollars.

Called City again asked why the delay and the modification charges. They first stated that the heater was actually a horse trailer heater which it isn't, it's a Home Mini Water Heater. Then I asked what modifications are they insisting needed to be done? He stated the heater needed all the drains leading out of the house to be installed. Told him they are pre-existing so what is the delay? Then he stated that the warranty company is probablly looking for a replacement heater and they will ship it to them.

Called the warranty company, relayed the info I was givien. They stated City Plumbing is the one stating the modifications needed and no, they don't supply the contracting business with parts.

All in all, I can deal with a warranty company making sure the work being done is warranted. I can not deal with an establishment that flat out lies to a client and tries to charge an exorbitant amount of money to make unnecessary modifications especailly, ones that are pre-existing and was installed by a licensed contractor when our kitchen was remodeled.  I can not and will not reccomed City Plumbing in fact, I caution you when contacting an establishment that flat out lies to a potential customer. I consider this to be highly unethical and have requested the warranty company use a different contractor for my home.

Never saw them again called a few times finally got a hold of someone claiming to be the owner said that should the same day fix. He said we will send someone right away. Took time off work again and no one showed. Called them and left messages no response. Finally called the insurance to send someone different and time goes on approximately 2 was later after initial contact we were contacted by City Plumbing and the tried to schedule another appointment like nothing happened.

Well I had a bad experience with this company. They were referred by my home warranty. The water backed up in the bath tub and shower. The tech came out and said that my home did not have a clean out for this situation. He was there for only 10 minutes. He said it would not be covered by the warranty. He did not even look for it and told me that it would cost me 800.00 in repairs. I actually found the clean out and is accessible next to my water shut off valve. I do not not recommend this company. They are fishing for money and not service.

I've had two claims with my home warranty and both times I've been referred to City Plumbing. Both times they have not shown up. The first time they no showed, no called. This time they called, 2 hours after they said they would be here and were confused as to when I was on the schedule, was it today or tomorrow? I said it was today and was told that the tech was finishing up at another house and would be here soon. Three hours passed and no one had come yet. I called my warranty company back and they tried calling the business, no answer, they left a message.

Finally I get a call about 30 min after we rescheduled for a different company from the tech. He said he was t told about my call until 7pm and by that time it was already late and he was out of the area.

I told my warranty to never assign them to me again and they should seriously consider removing them from their services as it's also their. Mae being tarnished.

Went through our home warranty and they sent out City Plumbing. We were informed the plumber would be out between 3-6 PM and took time off work early to be present for the repair. Ramon showed up at 5:20 and even before inspecting anything, told my wife and I that our house is a older house so that means that the main line has a trap and he cannot clean out the trap unless we spend $1,000 to dig down and install a T. He then takes out a small auger which repeatedly stopped spinning as he would hit the clog. He brought it back up and told us that there were roots present and his small auger could not get it out. He refused to try using the auger again and stated in order to use his larger auger we needed to install the T pipe. He then went on to tell us that since there were roots, our warranty would not cover it and even with the $1,000 T install and larger auger clean out, without paying $11,000 for them to redo all our pipes, the issue will continue to reoccur. We had someone else come out about an hour later and using the same size small auger, was able to get the blockage cleared within 20 minutes. Turns out someone had flushed some flushable wipes and there were a few roots that it was caught in causing the blockage. The other plumber informed us of root killer that would help since the roots in the system were hairline roots. We will never recommend City Plumbing to any of our friends or relatives.

Garbage disposal started leaking so we called our home owners insurance and they sent city plumbing out. City plumbing called right away and was at my home the next day. The toilet in one of my properties developed a leak in the water supply line and the water valve would not shut off to stem the leak. I contacted my home warranty insurance company (Fidelity Home Warranty) on a Thursday and they arranged for a plumbing company to come out and do the repair.  By that Saturday, I was still waiting for a call back from the plumbing company and still hadn't heard from them by noon Tuesday (this, after I left a detailed phone message on Saturday) so I called Fidelity back and let them know I hadn't been contacted to set up an appointment date/time. Fidelity then arranged for another plumbing company to repair the toilet.  However, when I arrived at the house on Wednesday morning I was met by a toilet whose small leak turned into a big one with water gushing out of the water supply line. I immediately called the second plumbing company Fidelity had dispatched for the repair and had to leave a message explaining the urgency of the situation. Two hours passed and no one called me back so I again called Fidelity as now the bathroom floor was flooded and water had seeped into the carpeted hall. To make a long story short, Fidelity contacted a third plumbing company, City Plumbing,  and about three hours later Ramon and James came to my rescue. It took these gentlemen no more than 30 minutes to replace the water supply line, water turn off valve, and they even replaced the fill valve, flapper and tighten the loose flush handle. Before leaving the house Ramon explained the 60-day warranty provided with the service. Both Ramon and James were not only prompt in diagnosing and completing the toilet repair, they were professional and courteous the entire time. I would recommend City Plumbing to other homeowners and won't hesitate to use them again when needed.

Terrible experience. I had to go through them because of AHS. It took them over a week to diagnose my gas leak to AHS, even though my gas was off the whole time. Time after time city plumbing held up moving forward. Finally got 2 guys to come out after 2 weeks and AHS cleared for the repairs on my gas lines. 2 guys were here 8 hours and still didn't fix the gas lines . The whole time the owner kept telling me that my gas lines needed to be replaced and to pay 5000 out of pocket to him. Then kept lowering the price finally trying to get me to pay 1900. What he didn't know was I had 2 other second opinions and both said the leaks only needed to repaired, the lines were good. The second plumber I hired fixed the problem for me by himself at 2 easy to reach places. City plumbing claimed they couldn't find the leaks. I had my gas off for almost a month and the owner himself answered one of my 10 phone calls and would email me at his own convenience. This is one is the worst experiences I have ever went through either a company and advise anyone even AHS customers. Go somewhere else

I would give this company a negative rating if possible.  DO NOT use this company if you are looking for responsiveness or professionalism.  City was assigned through our home warranty to fix our water heater.  It took several days to get an appointment, when the tech looked at the water heater said he needed parts and NEVER returned.  Left several messages to the company with ZERO response.  It has been a week without hot water and after reading the other reviews it looks like this is the norm.    REQUEST A DIFFERENT PROVIDER!

SCAMMER ALERT, SCAMMER ALERT, SCAMMER ALERT!!
In December 2022, I filed an American Home Shield (AHS) Warranty claim regarding my tankless water heater. City Plumbing was assigned to diagnose and fix the issue as the water heater was not producing hot water to one side of my home. I explained to the City Plumbing employee who came to my home to diagnose the issue that I experienced a similar problem with the tankless water heater located on the other side of my house and the ignitor was the problem. After several weeks I was advised by City Plumbing that I would need to replace the unit but was never provided any information as to the cause of the water heater going bad. AHS told us that the plumbing modification and permits were not covered under warranty and would have to pay an additional $900. I received an e-mail from Nelson, who identified himself as the owner of City Plumbing and noted that $900 was a great deal as the average cost to replace a tankless water heater was around $5000. I was without hot water for three weeks due to the tank was not immediately available and permits were never issued. I took it upon myself to order a $30 ignitor and replace it myself to which the tankless hot water is now functional and producing hot water again. It should be noted that City Plumbing is DISHONEST, DECEITFUL and SCAMMING people and AHS should not refer them in the future. My co-pay was eventually returned to me and requested City Plumbing be removed from performing any further business at my residence. I e-mailed Nelson and have never heard back from him so I know that he is fully aware of the dishonesty and scamming people within his company.

Used this company because they were referred by my home warranty (AHS). They had to come out 3 times to fix the same leaking bath faucet problem. On the 3rd time, the leak had gotten so bad, it was pouring into the apartment below. Finally just fixed the problem myself with help from family. Apparently, the plumber had used old parts to try and fix the problem - only making it worse. I should have listened to these other reviews. Stay away from City Plumbing!

American home shield called them to fix my hot water heater. The man who came out was very unprofessional did not wear a mask and continually was pulling up his pants. He relit the pilot light. Played with the knob and said fixed. It went out again relit and said if it went out again to call and they would have to replace it. It went out again. He did nothing else to the hot water heater and acted like it was a real bother to him to come out
I called another plumbing service. As the worker walked in the garage said he knew exactly what was wrong. Replaced the part cleaned the water heater checked for leaks and was done
City plumbing needs to hire workers who are professional and should know what to do

This excuse of a plumbing company never came back out.  I ended up doing it myself.  I know this is a review of City Plumbing and their service (or lack thereof).  But to be fair, I'm more disappointed in First American home warranty.

They should have followed up and because I didn't renew my warranty plan with them (and I am glad I didn't AND I would never get a policy with them ever again)! They tried to get out of paying for half of all my claims (8 total in one year) and they've sent me bills for the $75 co-pay for services requested but when the companies never even showed up.

Collectively, both of these companies should have their business licenses revoked.  Total joke!

Mr. Nelson,

You must be mistaken me for another costumer.  First off, YOU NEVER EVER threatened to call the police on me. For that to happen, you would have had to call me back or respond to my repeated attempts.  Second off, my claim was NOT denied by my home warranty company, they called you repeated times on my behalf asking to reschedule the appointments you never showed up for.  You are correct; they do not pay for access, which is why you gave me an estimate for access that I would have to pay out of pocket for. Luckily for me, you did not show up. After I called my own plumbers out they found the issue and it was NOT what you said it was.  It did not require me to have to pay for access and, after I sent a copy of the bill to my home warranty that I paid out of pocket for, they reimbursed me and gave me a 60 gift card for your companies unprofessionalism.
So to recap, not only are you blatantly lying about what happened.  Your company diagnosed the issue wrong, but you missed multiple appointments to fix it. I would also like to point out that any company that truly cares about customer satisfaction would not have waited 6 months to respond to a review on YELP and when they did respond they would not have attacked their costumer with lies.  Your inaccurate statements on here help prove my point about your unprofessionalism.  I have been on Active Duty in the military for over 10 years and most companies do what they can to help service members.  I am not saying I deserve special treatment, but I hoped that people like you are not out their making our lives more difficult than they already are.

P.S.

Absolute nightmare working with this company. First tech came out, don't do anything nor could he write a proper report of the actual issue that needed repairs, only a side problem he found while here. Weeks passed and nothing was done even after he came out a second time. We requested a second tech come out for a proper diagnosis and report, scheduled a time between 3-6. No one called, couldn't provide name of new tech and it is after 6pm, the office is closed at 5pm and have no way of calling anyone to find out when or if my new tech is even on the way. No one calls back when they say they will. I'm being polite by omitting names. If I could give zero stars I would. I have no choice but to keep working with this company because of our warranty. Would NOT RECOMMEND. Unprofessional. Not punctual. Has made minimal effort to rectify any complaint we have made and we have done all of the footwork. Stay away.

Some of the worst service I've seen lately.
Been waiting over 10 day for a simple hot water heater repair. Service rep took it apart and said he needed to order additional parts. After a week called and was told service order had been completed.  Really

City Plumbing, Fresno: 2023 Apr 11 (2.5 of 5)

I'm a stickler for punctuality. This would have been a 5 if everything goes to plan. As you can see, the images show the communication I had with both the Home Warranty company and City Plumbing. I took time off to wait for the plumber, expecting them to show up on time, or at the very least to call and let me know if they're showing up or not.

Rocky, the plumber showed up at 12:44 PM (our appointment was between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM). There was no explanation as to why he was late. Apart from not respecting their customer's time, Rocky was personable and friendly. He spent some time going over the problems, then said he'll return if we run into the same issue, but he suggested we call and order the parts. I couldn't give this a 2.5 so I'm going with a weak 3.

If you need a plumber from City Plumbing, ask for Rocky

Note: Rocky gave me permission to use his image

Our water heater went out so we called our homeowners insurance to have it taken care of. They advised us that City Plumbing would contact us within 24 hours. About two hours later City Plumbing contacted us. They sent a guy out to determine if it was repairable or in need of replacement. He got the go ahead to replace the water heater and said he'd be back the next day.  A few hours later he called to say that he had some time left in his day and could come back and do the job if I'd be home. In less than 24 hours with no hassle whatsoever I had a new water heater and the old one was hauled away.

The plumber who came to our home was fast, efficient, and very professional. I'd gladly recommend City Plumbing to anyone who needed a good plumber.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just stay away from ths company. This company was sent by my home warranty. They came to my home and said that that the part on my water heater that needed fixing was not covered by my insurance. We still paid them the service fee (in cash) and unfortunately did not ask for a receipt. They went back to my warranty and let them know that this was not covered. I called the company and told them I still needed the work done and to please go ahead and schedule me. I was given an appointment, and no one showed up. I called them company and they said that they had me down for a different date. I was annoyed but still scheduled another appointment. They went and fixed the simplest issue $225 later (which I believe was a rip off). We paid in cash, this time remembered to ask for a receipt. The tech had to walk to his truck to get his receipts (otherwise he would have left without giving us one). A week later I get a bill from by warranty stating that the service fee was never paid. My warranty told me that I had to deal with them because there was no receipt. I called City Plumbing on multiple occasions and each time they said the would get back to me. The last couple of times they told me the owner would give me a call back. He NEVER DID.

Would give five stars to the staff for their patience and professionalism. They were all very nice about me calling numerous times asking for part updates.  After a mix up with them not having the part needed during my appointment window, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my water heater was fixed just in time for very busy weekend and for that, I'm thankful.

It was hard to get through on the phone sometimes and I left many messages. I feel like if I had not called them (almost daily), the job would have taken much longer than the 3 weeks that it took to complete.

It's not the company's fault that the manufacturer took FOREVER to ship the part, it just sucks that I had to be without hot water for that three weeks.  I'm not sure what can be adjusted, maybe securing a wider range of companies that the parts can be ordered from so people aren't waiting weeks for their services to be completed.

Customer Beware: I was told that a drain cover needed to be replaced in order to fix a leak and that it would be ordered. Six days later, NOTHING! I called and spoke to owner who told me that it was actually a same day part and he would address the issue. I was given an appointment for the next day and sat at home for 3 hours and nobody showed up. Horrible service. I give them ZERO stars.

Unbelievably dishonest, incompetent, and unreliable.  They were sent from my home warranty company (AHS) for a plugged drain.  Five hours after the first call, I had to call AHS again, since I hadn't heard anything.  When the plumber came out, he didn't do anything.  He didn't attempt to snake the drain, and told me he couldn't find the outlet to the drain, so I would need a new one for $900.  I would've paid that if they had fixed it same day.  But they failed to show up the next day, I called Vern's plumbing, and they snaked it (through the outlet City couldn't find!), and in less than an hour, for $95, had my plumbing fixed.  I just wish I hadn't dealt with AHS or City Plumbing.  AHS couldn't be less concerned about who they contract with.

worst place ever.  No inspection done and yet gave diagnoses of a slab leak.  They were going to repair and demolish my floor without an inspection.  When I confronted the guy he got upset and said my home warranty did not cover and it would cost $250 for one of their guys to come out and inspect the leak.  Come to find out my home warranty did have coverage.  Thank goodness i went with my gut feeling.   Shame on them... no service need from these scumbags...not today

Very shady company. Our water heater rusted through and had to be replaced. Like 90% of the reviews here this was through American Home Shield. Jorge was the plumber to come out first. He sucks! Most of what he said sounded like BS we can get it done in 3 days, we work on weekends, everything is old and needs to be replaced, and on and on. They were very consistent about telling me it would cost $1300 though. Everytime I spoke with someone from City Plumbing that was the first thing they asked, you know it's going to cost you $1300.

It took almost 10 days to get approval (from AHS) and order the water heater. I had to call to get updates as no one from City Plumbing ever initiated a follow up. The plumber who did the work was James, he was very good and did a fantastic job; that's the only positive thing about my experience.

Here's the issue... James did not have any paperwork and did not give me a receipt for the $1300 check I gave him. I called City Plumbing and was told someone would call me back, but they didn't. I called again today and am waiting to hear back. I want an invoice for all the work done, parts installed, a receipt for payment and most importantly, why I was charged $1300 when every other AHS water heater claim posted here paid only $900.

we were referred this company by our home warranty company, a technician came out to diagnose the issue and provide an estimate three weeks ago and we still have not received the estimate. I have called the company four times, spent 15-30 minutes on hold each time, and spoken to the manager twice and every time they say they'll send it by end of day, but I still haven't gotten it. Not once have they said they're sorry for the delay or not following through, the manager is very short on the phone and acts like it's inconvenient to be bothered with the issue. I'm just trying  to get the diagnostic information and estimate that we already paid for, but at this point I wouldn't even trust them to do the work because of the lack of communication and professionalism.

And it continues. So city plumbing finally came out to install the part only to find out that the unit was not fixable. Which they would have known originally if they had opened the unit up.
The warranty company approved a new unit and told me that it would be installed the next day.........well it's now 3 days later and still no hot water heater. City plumbing claims that they are not in stock?????? Ferguson either has it in stock or will have it the next day(I called and they in fact have had it in stock the whole time). Still without hot water for going on three weeks!

I can't say enough great things about this company. A while ago, we had the pipes under our house that were connected to the kitchen sink rotted out. They fixed the problem before the next day was over. Hazmat clean up and pipe repair. They were clean, fast, and efficient. Today they came to repair a leak inside my house. Again, not a problem at all, fixed it efficiently and kept a very clean workspace. So easy to deal with and I highly recommended them.

Terrible!!! I was referred by my home warranty for two leaky faucets. I stayed home from work and plumber didn't show up for the first 3 hour window appt. and no one called or returned my voicemail. I  was able to get ahold of Nicole to reschedule. He did come late for the 2nd appt., the day before Thanksgiving. He took two faucets apart and said he needed parts. He came back hours later without parts and said he would have to order them. I asked him to put faucets back together and he did. No one ever got back to me.  So, after numerous calls with Nicole (she is very nice in the phone but never calls back), in their office, to check the status of the parts, I have finally given up. I called AHS, to request a change to a different plumber!

Our home warranty sent these guys out and I'll be calling my home warranty company to make sure they never send them again. Barely looked at the problem and said the warranty doesn't cover it and quoted me $450.

We called Professional Plumber and they came out same day, did the work in an hour for $140, and told me the job should be covered by the home warranty (unfortunately Professional Plumber isn't contracted with our home warranty company).

Will send City Plumbing away if our home warranty company sends them out again. Literally just cashing their checks from warranty companies.

I wish I could give them zero stars. It's absurd that a reputable home warrenty company would partner with companies like these. My story sounds exactly like the handful of negative reviews already posted. They don't answer, they don't send diagnosis reports to the warrenty place for weeks... they are a complete joke.

AHS referred City Plumbing. Repairman showed up on time. BUT only fixed one of 2 hot water tank leaks. I called a few hours after meeting with repairman to let CPlum know that repair wasn't done properly and remaining leak was NOT a minor leak. Was told I would need to call AHS to get second repair order, (for same repair) AND CPlum had available appt the following morning. I wasn't happy considering the amt. of water leaking (this is a rental) but I was willing to oblige since it didn't seem that I was getting through to Repair Order tech slash receptionist, Catlin. Once I called Catlin back with second request from AHS for work not completed the first time, I was told next day appt was gone and it would be 2 DAYS before they could come back! CHELLO, Lights on and nobody home? Apparently Catlin couldn't figure out to pencil me in for second appt. and refused to adjust the appt that she took AFTER me. She deals with AHS on a daily basis. It's her job to figure out what is needed for the customer, the FIRST customer, that needs a SECOND repair appt!  It was like talking to a parrot that could only repeat. There was no problem solving involved or customer service.  I wanted to talk to owner. The Owner has yet to call me back. I called AHS  and told them forget it. I have RAPID ROOTER coming out tomorrow and they have much better YELP reviews.

More like Shitty Plumbing. How these people are still in business, I do not know. They were scheduled (through American Home Shield) to come fix a plumbing problem on Friday between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00. Not only did they never show up, when AHS contacted them via their emergency contact # (because it was 6:45 on a Friday evening and of course no one was answering the office phone at that hour), the AHS representative was told that I HAD been called at 4:30, but no one answered, so they didn't come. This was, in fact, not true at all because I had been patiently waiting by my phone (with ringer on) for 4 hours, eagerly anticipating a call from them! The phone never rang and no message was ever left.  On top of this alternative fact, the City Plumbing guy told the AHS guy to tell me they would do their best to fit me in SOME TIME Saturday, but no guarantees, because they already had a full day planned. If they couldn't work me in Saturday some time, they'd call me next week for a new appointment.

No thank you! This is not the first time we've gotten shitty customer service from City Plumbing (we received horrible serve 2 years ago with regard to a different Plumbing problem. But it will be the last time. I will never attempted to use their service again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice . . . .

Save yourself a huge headache and avoid this business!

They were extremely unprofessional, not compliant with covid procedures, the guy came in no mask and had dirty shoes - still didn't care and came in. He didn't even take the cover off the water heater and immediately just said we needed a new unit, how would he know that without looking at it? Guess he just didn't care to even look and figured might as well get the insurance money. On top of that he came in and took off our water restrictions and didn't put them back. The next day my husband called his office about the water restrictors, they said they would have the same guy come and return them, he never did and they never returned our phone call.

Another awful experience with AHD and these guys. My main line was backed up, not a huge issue but they told me it wouldn't be covered and I'd have to spend $1200 out of pocket before they could snake it. The guy walked in my house, looked at the shower, touched nothing, didn't even take his hands out of his pockets and told me all this. Doesn't seem right, how did the previous owners unclog their pipes? Why would I have HAVE to spend that kind of money for a backed up drain? Seems like they are profiting off AHS policies, both companies are useless. Avoid if you can!

City Plumbing is the worst company you could call. Do not hire them. If your home warranty hires them REQUEST A DIFFERENT SERVICE PROVIDER.

My shower water only stays warm for 5-10 min. They replaced the water heater in May, stating that was the issue. Unfortunately, they lying and were just too lazy to properly assess the issue. After making my home warranty pay and myself pay out of pocket over $600, my shower water STILL only stays warm 5-10 minutes still. (The same problem I called them for to begin with!)

Several calls, reports, and complaints were filed and unaddressed with the company. When winter came, I made contact again and they sent someone out; James.

James filled up my tub and said the water is warm. I stated if it were properly functioning it would have been HOT. I told him same problem in the kitchen and he refused to test that. Also refused to set shower at a reasonable shower temperature to see how long the WARM not HOT water lasts.

When confronting James and THE OWNER, they said maybe it's a bad water heater but they don't want to help me because I am rude. Yes, I am upset. I have James and the owner telling me they won't investigate the problem after I spent $600 along with what my warranty covered to fix a problem that REMAINS UNADDRESSED.

James LITERALLY, refused to test water in kitchen.

Also, refused to run the shower water to see for himself that it only is hot-ish for 5 minutes, Luke warm for the next 2-3 minutes, then freezing cold.

When Jason was illegally parked blocking my driveway I told him, with the owner on the phone to test the kitchen and the shower to see what I'm complaining about they refused. Said I am unreasonable. I asked what is unreasonable about wanting a shower that is hot for more than 5 minutes? At this point the owner said maybe it's a bad water heater but it's not their responsibility to fix it LOL.

It does not take a plumber to determine that if the problem is EXACTLY THE SAME, with a new water heater, then the issue is probably NOT the water heater. Would require someone actually looking at the water heater, hot water line, etc. Steps that Lazy James and Shitty Plumbing refuse to take.

Update, after reading other upset customers reviews, I read that if I block my number, they're answer. I did this and the office lady put the owner on the phone and he said we aren't going to do a damn thing for you because you 'refuse' to call the water heater manufacturer.

It is not an issue with the water heater. It is something different because my water heater works EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE WATER HEATER I HAD BEFORE.

The owner cussed at me and made threats with police when confronting him for fraud and was laughing and told me to sue him and he'd see me in court.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

I have attached the email I sent that I have not received a response to.

I encourage all customers who have been scammed by this company to stand together and file reports with the Better Business Bureau so that hopefully we can instill some accountability with this company.

Extremely Terrible customer service and service. It's been well over 5 weeks for them to replace my faucet in my bathroom. They ordered the incorrect one and re ordered the right one well it's been nearly 3 weeks since then. When they first came out it only leaked when the cold water was turned on but we turned it off now after they attempted to replace it with the wrong faucet they threw it back together and now it leaks no matter what! And every time you call to check the status the girl who answers the phone says sorry the guys are out working they will call you later today and they of course they never call back! City Plumbing was dispatched to my home by American Home Shield Warranty.  I had a pipe leak specific to the condensation line of my air condition.  The plumber took one look, and said he needed to check the attic but he didn't have a ladder.  He was loaned the ladder and stated that the pan was dry but he could not do the repairs as he is unable to cut through the wall to get to the pipe.  This surprised me because I'm not sure how else a plumber gets to a pipe.  No resolution and still charged by American Home Shield.

Terrible! Sent out by my home warranty.  Have used their service 3 times now.  Their plumbers are rude and unprofessional and reek of cigarette smoke.  They aren't able to answer basic questions.  We are on a septic tank system and the first guy didn't know anything about septic tanks.  He was called out to fix an overflowing toilet.  The 2nd guy was fine, had a broken garbage disposal, he replaced it, no issues there.  The 3rd guy was called out for a clogged drain in my laundry room.  He didn't even take a look at my laundry room and instead asked to look at the back of my house for a clean out.  There was no clean out and so he said he couldn't do it, yet still asked for the service fee to be paid.  He said he was going to send another tech out to access the drain from the roof, which no one ever did contact me or came out to do.  Anyway, after he left, I found a 2inch cleanout pipe in the laundry room which was easily visible had the guy looked.  So when I challenged the company to come out again, I sent them the picture of the clean out, and the Owner himself said, no he couldn't do it and needed a 3inch cleanout pipe.  Done with this company.  Found another company, the plumber was very nice, very knowledgable.  Used the 2inch clean out no problem.  Clog fixed in 10 minutes or less.

I've had to deal with these jokers 3 times now Thur my home warranty
First American
Every single time takes them about 5 days to show up.
And I must have the rarest appliances in all over California each time have to order the part
Zero updates on what's going on with you service.
Home warranty has been contacted many times about them
Tech even told me that for warranty customers they order part and use (parts on the truck)
For new customers
One start is not low enough for these guys would never ever recommend them again.
Don't want them at my house now if I was able to change with first American I would but said I'd have to start claim over again !!!

This is our second dealing with City Plumbing. We have an American Homeshield Policy. Two days ago we submitted a request for service for a toilet. The first company never contacted us. This morning at about 7:30 I contacted AHS and they assigned City Plumbing. We were contacted by them at 7:58 AM and were told someone would be here by 12:00. At 10:00 Justin texted he was 20 minutes away. He arrived and checked out the problem. The toilet needed to be be reattached to the floor. He was here about a half an hour and the job was completed. Service like this is rare these days and we certainly appreciated it.

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.

They promised to show up two days in a row, with me confirming MULTIPLE times. After the first day of no show, I called the office the next morning and they assure me they will be out and they didn't show the prior day because they are down a technician. Notice how no one apologized for wasting my time.

On day two, near the end of the window - I call again and they put me on hold to supposedly call the technician to make sure they were coming. They did not.

So, I call my Home Warranty and they told me that this scam of a company told them they came out and solved my issue.

The owner is clearly on here responding to some bad reviews, why are you okay with running a scam of a company? Why do you continually blame the customers on here for your poor business judgement and attitude?

Why do you even have this company if you're not going to run it like someone who wants business?

Retire, sell, close it down. Take your pick.

I was directed to City Plumbing through the claim process on my home warranty, both office staff and the plumber (James) were prompt, responsive to our needs and questions, and quickly fixed the issue without trying to add up any extra non-covered costs like I've experienced with other service companies who do warranty work. I'd be happy to use them again or refer them to others.

Discovered a leak in our home and home warranty assigned it to City Plumbing. They were very fast to get someone out to diagnose and repair the leak. However, a section of my wall had to be cut out from floor to ceiling in order to chase where the leak was coming from. I didn't have a problem with that because I knew it needed to be done in order to find and stop the leak. I also knew that my home warranty would cover the patch work for this hole but not any texture or paint. First technician that came out from this company found the leak and fixed the problem. Then a second technician came out from this same company to apply the patch. TERRIBLE!!!! City plumbing is considering this job complete and refuses to send someone fix their terrible patch work! I would be money that if anyone in that company got a patch job done in their home like the one the did in mine, it would not sit well with them!! Negative 5 stars!!!!

If I could rate lower I would. We were connected with City Plumbing through our home warranty company. We had a sewage leak from one of our toilets that was leaking into our crawlspace below our home. We were told by the technician that they could not work on the pipe without the sewage being remediated, which is completely understandable. My wife asked if they performed remediation, and the tech reached out to his supervisor who told my wife that they could do it for $6500 (which wouldn't be covered by our home warranty).

After reaching out to other companies, we were able to have the remediation and plumbing repaired for under $2,000! It was clear that they were trying to take advantage of us (my wife communicated with them primarily because I was working). The customer service was terrible, and even after we told them we weren't using them, they called back multiple times (I had to very bluntly tell them not to contact us again).

I would never recommend this company, and if your home warranty uses them as a contractor, I would request another plumber! DO NOT USE THEM.

My wife and I recently purchased a home and our home warranty policy holder referred us to City Plumbing to fix our garbage disposal. The fellow that came out was polite, professional and extremely competent as he had the disposal replaced in less than an hour. We also mentioned to him that there was a leak under the sink by which he diagnosed we needed a new faucet, but he did not have one in his truck thus we'd have to make another appointment. He said he would call us by the end of the week. He didn't. We called him instead and we set up a time. No one showed up, so I contacted him. So we set up another time, but I had to call the guy who was twenty minutes late and stuck in traffic. My wife and I had an appointment to go to so we needed to reschedule due to their tardiness and lack of communication. After that began a long series of  us having to call them due to repeated delays or lasts minute Hey, I'm in the area! Can I stop by? instead of keeping with their appointments. So, after many, many attempts to get them to come back we had to call our home warranty holders and get them involved because we simply could not get City Plumbing to take care of us. Instead of City Plumbing simply apologizing and taking care of it they started a he said, she said dialog with my wife in their defense. So much for the customer is always right. They finally came out, but was 20 minutes late. They sent some other person who had his son with him there working to replace our faucet instead of himself. My wife told me they continued to goof off and not complete the job in a timely fashion. After an hour my wife asked if they were going to be done soon. They finally finished installing the faucet and left. When I got home and seen the faucet replaced I was ecstatic and when I turned it on it shot water up over the counter and all over the couch and flooded under the sink. My wife called and I spoke with the repair guy who told me we already had a leak before he got there. I was like Are you serious??? Then he got an attitude and told me he was not coming out there to fix it that night and said he would be out tomorrow at 4pm. He never showed up the next day or the next or the next. We haven't gotten a phone call from them or heard anything else. I finally had to fix the problem myself and now it works fine. We will NEVER use City Plumbing again! They have showed us the worst professionalism and communication skills I've ever come across! NEVER AGAIN~!!!!!.

like 60% of people on here would leave o or negative star if possible. the only reason i had to deal with them is because i rent a house and ahs is the home owner warranty company. i had a leak from the faucet under the sink. been living here 6 months an for 5 months i was unable to use my bathroom faucet. several calls from me the tenant and the property management and never returned phone calls. first tech came out an said he new the problem and had to order parts and left without fixing the leak. he somehow rigged it to not leak for a couple of days. called again sent out different guy and he temporary stopped the leak. appointment was set for the following week to replace the faucet. no show. no call. called them again. no return calls to anybody. finally called 2 weeks later saying they were still waiting for parts to come in. scheduled another appointment. again no show no call this time for 3 months. finally called and set another appoinment. no show no calls again. i called them and left a stern message. still never called me but called the property management company. she let me know they were showing up between 3-6 pm. still no call from them. got a text message at 5pm saying the tech will be here between 3-6pm. i mean really at 5 pm im getting this message. tech got here and changed the faucet, but they replaced the $100 dollar faucet i had in there with a $30 home depot brand special. they are considered the worst plumbing company in fresno and i cant understand how they stay in business. they say they have 10 trucks around town but i never see one anywhere. i am also a plumber and could of fixed this myself but the owner wanted to use the home warranty. i have also redone alot of city plumbing work over the years, so many i couldnt count with all the fingers an toes in my household. please do not use this company. pay the extra and use a plumber that doesnt work through american home shield. the quality of the materials and work will be alot better.

City Plumbing diagnosed an issue that I thought would be very costly. Instead they were very honest and made a very affordable repair. That was just one instance. I have used them many times since.

Worse experience ever.  I have my home warranty through American Home Shield.  I submitted a claim on Friday after 5pm because my hot water heater stopped working.  Apparently City Plumbing isn't open on the weekends.  I didn't receive a call until Monday morning.  They said they had an opening that morning and sent someone out very fast.  They contacted me to let me know a plumber was on his way and then the plumber called once he arrived at my house.  He was very nice and looked at our water heater.  He said they needed to replace the gas control and pilot assembly and would need to order the part.  He said it should take a couple of days.  On Thursday, I hadn't heard from City Plumbing so I called them.  I was told that the plumber who had been to my house had an emergency and wouldn't be in until Monday.  Needless to say, I was very unhappy.  I asked if he was the only one who could do the job?  Does City Plumbing only have 1 plumber on staff.  They can pick up my part but will wait for a plumber to return to work so they can work on my water heater.  In the meantime, I have to continue taking cold showers and boil water to wash my dishes. Now I have to wait until Monday to get my water heater fixed.
You know, if you want to provide excellent service, the right thing would be to have another plumber pick up the part and go do the job.  If it means working late, so be it.  That is what I have to do in my job.  I work for a company that strives for excellent service and have had to work during vacation, after hours and weekends.  Nobody wants to work long hours and I understand everyone needs to be with their families and should have a work/life balance.  When you have customers that are having to go without hot water, and a part is in, then that tells me customer service is not a priority.  A company should be willing to do whatever it takes to cover for an employee when they need to be out.  It would have been one thing if the part weren't in or it was on back order.  Instead, I'm told, that 1 plumber is out and he won't be back until Monday.  They didn't even have the courtesy to call me to tell me this. I had to reach out to them to get the status on my service.  Extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service by this company.
Now I will wait until Monday because it's too late to try to find another plumber.  I will update this review after they service my water heater.  Hopefully, City Plumbing will give me something positive to write about.

UPDATE:  I spoke to Tiffany at City Plumbing the same day I wrote the above review.  After discussing with her about my issue and how unhappy I was with the service, she said she would look into it and call me back.  I really didn't think she would but she did.  She informed me that another plumber would try to pick up my part and then they could schedule an appointment for me.  On Friday, I was contacted by City Plumbing and informed that they could schedule my appointment the following week Monday through Friday.  I was not happy and said, So you couldn't find anyone to help me.  She put me on hold and then said they would have someone out to help me the same day between 3 and 6.  The plumber showed up at 4:20.  He didn't know what the issue was so my boyfriend explained to him what the problem was.  He had to go back to the shop and pick up the part, returned and installed the part.  I was extremely happy to have hot water again.
Now the reason I increased my star rating from a 1 to a 3 is because of the following:
1. When my part came in, no one bothered to contact me to let me know the status.
2. When the first plumber had to leave for the week, no one bothered calling me to explain.
3. When I called and complained, I had to tell City Plumbing to send another plumber.  It was not even offered.  I had to ask for them to come up with another solution instead of waiting for the first plumber to return.
If any company values customer service, then communication is key.  Everyone understands life events can happen but when you don't communicate concerns to your customers and hope they don't get upset, then it tells your customers you don't care about them.

Worse company ever to deal with!  FYI - they get their business through home warranty companies.  This is why they are not big on customer service.  It took a week for my water heater to be replaced.  The home warranty company covered the cost of the water heater, however I still had to pay $800 out-of-pocket because they said my water heater needed current upgrades required by law.  I didn't get an invoice from installer, said the office had all that information, to contact them.  They also charged me $200 for a permit, when I asked the installer where the permit was he said again I would have to call the office for that.  He said they submit the permit online and I have to make an appointment with the city to come out and do the inspection.  Try to avoid doing business with this company if you can....

rating is a big ,fat zero....after calling mon. a.m. they came out same day but late didn't seem too knowledgable regarding water heater mind you i haven't had hot water for almost 2 days...was told they would be calling the same evening with a time frame to come replace the next day..no call.. at 8;00 a.m. i called and left message still no response by 9;30 a.m. i called back, still no response..at 10;30 finally got an answer and was told they were still waiting for insurance to call them to okay the work.called again at 11;30 they still said they were waiting called landlord she had called them herself as i couldn't and was told they got the okay at 7;30 a.m. he told the insurance he'd tried calling and it was busy, funny cell phones don't have busy signals and no record of call ever coming in..as a business owner i would have immediately called insurance for the customer to see what was the hold up but no ,never was there an offer of even that...then the price they said to install was completely ridiculous amongst many things we found having someone else look at it which one was a rotting hole where carbon monoxide would be leaking..thanks so much for the awful day now day three of no hot water ,response,or anything for that matter..such a shame you can't get good honest business anymore...

My warranty company contracted City plumbing to fix my hot water heater. 5 phone calls and 2 weeks have gone by and the technician still has yet to submit the report to my warranty company. Now they will not answer the phone. When the technician came out he didnt even inspect the hot water heater to try to diagnose it, just looked at it from afar and said there was nothing he could do for me because the parts were not available. WORST service ever! I HIGHLY recommend anyone thinking about using this company, go else where!!!

If I could leave no stars I would!!!!

Our home warranty paired us with this company. I was a bit apprehensive based on some of the reviews on here, but the experience was great all around. We submitted a claim that our garbage disposal was malfunctioning on Sunday, they called Monday, and set-up a 12-3 appt. window for Wednesday. Called 20 minutes before arriving and came within the window time. The guy assessed the issue, fixed it, noticed other issues and decided to replace the disposal completely. He was in and out within about a half hour and everything was covered under our home warranty.
