He sent Monte first who diagonosed the problem and then he followed up with Zach who completed the job and got my washing maching working again. The job was not very easy, but I was not charged any additonal charges for the extra time. I am very pleased with both plumbers and I will call Bill Metzger Plumbing again.

A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to this company to get a dual flush toilet changed to a single flush toilet and we needed a couple outdoor pipes reworked. They arrived about 3-4 hours after I called. I discussed what I needed, the plumber said I needed to provide more information on the outdoor piping, so I got my husband. He talked to the repairman & explained everything. The repairman went to his truck to give us an estimate of $600. When my husband complained about the estimate the repairman told him to contact a lawncare professional to do the outside work. My husband told the guy to get in his truck & leave. That weekend my husband went to Home Depot, spent $100 & 2 hours later everything was done & working well. If you can do it yourself, you may want to. Saved $500 by doing it ourselves!

The recent winds caused part of our rental's fence to cave and broke a pipe bib to our jacuzzi and water was flowing out to the street. Not a good start to the day, especially since on top of that, we had a scheduled dental surgery in the morning. Fortunately, we called Bill Metzger's plumbing. We had used their service many years before when we lived in the house. We had a prompt callback, explained what had happened, and he was able to work us in that day! His technician, Dennis made it to our home early within the given timeframe, assessed what was needed to repair the pipe, and provided a fair bid/quote for the repair. The repair was completed and we are extremely pleased and grateful for Bill Metzger's Plumbing Service!! Definitely recommend!!!

From the first initial contact I made with Bill on the phone to the final completion of a job well done by Jacob it was the best plumbing service I'd ever received. I found them on Angie's List and from start to finish I could not be happier. I couldn't get any hot water for days. As a single Mom I had to get this done ASAP. Jacob accompanied my work schedule by working around it. He came out checked everything and recommended a new water heater. He emailed me a professional quote immediately. Also said not to worry, the consultation visit was on themas a no charge visit, I found this refreshing. I called Bill the next day after quoting 3 places) and again he worked with my work schedule. It was pouring rain but was punctual. He replaced my old water heater with a much better one. I paid the $1,200 even it was all inclusive - no taxes, fuel surcharge, earthquake belt, or any extra charges and no hidden feels. I highly recommend this plumbing company.

I had some issues with my garbage disposal and called Bill Metzger Plumbing. Josh Crawford was my technician. He was punctual, polite, neat, patient with my 2 boys that were curious as to what he was doing and wanted to help. Had an issue with yard drains after recent rain. Bill Metzger Plumbing was able to get a guy out fairly quick. Zack was very professional and gave an honest assessment of the situation and didn't try to oversell any work that wasn't required to resolve the issue. He was able to remove some tree roots from one drain to get it draining properly and found that another drain was broken. I felt the charge for the work was very reasonable. I would definitely use Bill Metzger in the future as it was recommended we snake the drain(s) at least once and preferable twice a year to avoid this situation in the future.

They are clean, prompt, and do quality work. I am a landlord and needed a toilet repaired for a tenant, moving in the next day. They arrived on-time & their plumber found a crack that caused the leak and that required a new toilet. They quickly found a replacement for the limited space and installed it the next day. The price was reasonable for a full-service plumber and I couldn't be more pleased. Would use again.

We have used Bill Metzger Plumbing multiple times. They are always quick to respond, have fair prices, and most importantly have not tried to upsell us after they arrive. We had experiences with other plumbers who recommend costly repiping or other extreme solutions. When we brought in Bill Metzger Plumbing for a second opinion they fixed the issue with a simple pipe snake and said there was nothing else that needed to be done. I trust them to do their best to provide an accurate estimate and stick to it. They were also professional, quick and friendly. Thank you!

Although the price for my job was higher than most of my neighbors paid, the plumber arrived on time, finished the job as promised and cleaned up. The gas company changed our meters to smart meters. In inspecting our gas lines, we were all tagged with the requirement to fix our piping within a certain time frame or our gas would be shut off. The tag noted that our homes were built with PVC pipes which are no longer within code. So while the meter upgrade was free to us, it cost a couple of thousand for each home to connect with appropriate pipe. All of the homes in our area had their lawns dug up for new piping so that the meters could be connected. The streets were full of plumbing trucks--a plumber's heaven. Make sure you price check.

While Greg started the job Monte came in as back up and assisted in finishing the job. Excellent service to resolve a minor gas leak we had inside a kitchen wall. Our technician (Victor) arrived on time, followed COVID protocols, and clearly explained actions needed/taken. Called them for an emergency leak from an upstairs bathroom . Water was dripping through my downstairs light fixture. I called at around 9:30 am. They gave me a time frame of 12-4. I was pleasantly surprised to have them arrive about an hour after I called. They were great. They were super nice, masked, knowledgeable fixed my leak and gave me so much information . I will definitely use them again. I have tried several different plumbers in the area but this was the best.

I don't recommend this company due to their rudeness and poor customer service. We kept waiting for the part we needed for our water heater and had to keep calling them for a status.

The lady who takes calls for the company was not only rude but told us she didn't know when the part we needed would come in, refused to call their supplier and told us we would just have to wait. They didn't know when they would be able to install the part. We were days without hot water and still no water heater part.

Finally, after we obtained the part on our own directly from the water heater manufacturer, the installer who didn't have the decency to return my calls, finally left me a voicemail repeatedly calling me dishonest.

We came home to a pinhole leak in the wall of our master bath. I turned off water for the night and in the AM called for help and Jenri showed up within 30 minutes of the call. Our water heater started leaking on Saturday, my friend, Diane referred us to Metzger's Plumbing, as she has always had positive experiences with them. From start to finish, they were great. Jen answered the phone and efficiently, texted us a window of time when the guys would arrive. When they were running behind, Jen sent an update and when they were on their way, Jen sent a photo of Victor,the lead and he and his helper arrived on the early side of the latest time window. Both guys were friendly and efficient, they cleaned up their work area and overall, did a great job! Our paid invoice and photos from during the repair were emailed to us within an hour of the completion of the job. We will keep their contact info and also refer Metzgers Plumbing to others!

Call them on Monday morning for a burst pipe. The person on the phone was very professional. They were able to send a plumber within the within the next three hours.

Jacob was our plumber and he was very transparent and thorough in explaining the work that needed to be done. Very professional and efficient. He did an excellent job and went above and beyond.

I had Bill's Plummer come out to fix a faucet I was installing in my bathroom, but it was leaking and I just wanted it done right. A few weeks later I noticed a slow leak had been dripping, so I called them back out to fix it and they wanted to charge me $300 more dollars to stop leak. I called Bill to tell him I paid to have everything done right and I just wanted the leak fixed! He wouldn't budge! Talk about bad customer service, one of his workers could have probably fixed the leak in 5 minutes, after I paid for their service and they still wanted to charge me $300 more! Never again!!

Bill answered my call midday on Sunday and had is tech Monte at my home within 30 minutes to address the smell of gas. Monte was amazing; we have had a gas smell in one room at our home for 2 years that the Gas Company assured us was not due to a gas leak, on multiple occasions. Sure enough, Monte was able to discover the source of the leak, concealed behind a wall, and fix the problem in only a few hours. I couldn't be happier with the work done and especially the customer service.

Bill Metzger sent Monte over on short notice today. He fixed our leak promptly and made the extra effort to check the main water pressure regulator in front of our house. The standing water pressure was double what is should be, so he replaced it on the spot and adjusted the water pressure until it was exactly right. By making this extra effort, he likely saved us additional work. His service was prompt and friendly.

Bill Metzger Plumbing is BY FAR the most reputable and professional plumbing service in the South Orange County Area.

As an apartment complex owner the past 21 years, my apartments have had plumbing issues throughout the decades.

When I was new to the area I made it an effort to call a different plumber each time I needed service. Once I was 100% satisfied with ALL aspects of the service, I would then decide to stick with that plumbing service.

I used 5-6 different services in the South Orange County area before calling Bill Metzger Plumbing for the first time. After experiencing their service, I have not called another service ever since!!

Their communication, explanation, their punctuality, professionalism and understanding are second to none. They are decent people with a compassionate nature and are always trying to help you in anyway possible.

I simply will never call another plumbing service as long as I live.

Please note, my data sample is not small. It's been at least 20 years straight of GREAT SERVICE.

I'm sure there other companies out there that are fine, but I'll never know because I'm SO HAPPY with Bill Metzger Plumbing.

This company has done good work for us in the past, but seriously overcharges for their labor. We just had a sink repair not more than 40 minutes to inspect and repair with a couple of minor parts for $295. When I asked for them to work with me on the price, I was told that I needed to contact the company. I did a couple of days ago and they have not replied. I verified with a friend who is a plumber out of my area and their labor rate is over twice the going rate! Will not use them again.

I have had Bill Metzger Plumbing out to two different rental properties over the past two weeks. Nobody likes to have to deal with problems at rentals but they make it easy. The first problem was a leaking water heater. Sent someone out the same day and that problem was taken care of. The second problem was trickier. The heat/ac people I had called out could not find the problem with the hot water pump system (kitchen sink didn't get any hot water). After talking the problem over with Bill, he sent out Tony to assess the problem. Tony was fantastic - very knowledgeable and got the problem fixed in very little time. Everyone is very easy to deal with and problems get resolved quickly and efficiently. Why would you call anyone else?

I called Bill Metzger plumbing because I had seen their trucks around town and they came FAST when my water heater was leaking. The guy who answered my call was very helpful and understood this was an emergency. Water was leaking everywhere! So he said he would pull a technician from a nearby job because this was an emergency situation. Within 20 minutes a technician showed up and replaced our water heater within an hour or so. I can't tell you how lucky I feel to have had such quick and friendly service, the day before a big holiday too! Thanks guys! I will gladly refer you to anyone in town who needs a plumber.

These guys rock... They installed a new water heater a year ago and called them back out for a minor problem. They explained what had happened and showed us why our soft water system was corroding our pipes. They fixed our water leak which had nothing to do with the water heater they installed and a very nominal cost.
With 3 kids and no time, my wife was extremely happy how quick they came out!

Incompetent , dishonest, rude! I had to have the technician come out to the house 4 times pointing out how to do his job! He lied about the work he did and gave me excuse after excuse. I tried to talk directly to Bill the owner and he was rude and dismissed me. It cost me $999.00 to end up with a completely non working sprinkler system and the leak is still present under ground.oh and a $345.00 water bill, I requested pictures of the work that was done and never received them. I will be taking action legally but in the meantime wanted to warn others not to use this company.

These guys are horrible. I called to set up an appointment on Tuesday, they said they would be out Friday from with a 2 hour window...I called the day of to make sure they would arrive at scheduled time...the guy ended up being late anyways. When he arrived, I was upsold without even looking at the unit, and for being an expert, he had to make a couple calls to figure out where to start...WARNING!!!!! upsale upsale upsale!!! The plumber did a good job but I think that the price I paid was too high. It took him less than an hour to fix a leak and he charged almost $400. It seems that Bill Metzger just owns the company and his plumbers work for him. So you are paying not only the plumber's wage but also paying for the owner to get rich. I would rather have a plumber that works for himself and charges a fair wage. Like I said, the plumber did a good job and was friendly, but I feel like I paid too much for the work he did.

This company is one of three from which we requested a proposal. Wow! I called Bill Metzger Plumbing on 9/5/23 at 9:00 AM, by 10:00 AM a plumbing technician, Jenri (Henri) arrived to assess our hot water heater.

Within 15 minutes, Jenri provided an estimate and recommended a new unit, which was what we needed.

By 11:00 AM, Jenri had drained the old hot water, had a new one in the truck and by 1:00 PM, the new hot water heater was installed and we were up and running.

Jenri was so polite and professional, I was thoroughly impressed!

Next time I call Bill Metzger plumbing for their services, I'm going to request they send over Jenri, if he is available.

Contacted Metzger Plumbing as it advertised in my church's (San Francisco Solano) bulletin. Joe arrived and Monday and quickly installed a garbage disposer I had purchased, 2 plugged sinks, and the faucet to my tub. The challenge was a 32 year old tub temperature regulator that needed replacement. Unfortunately there was no model name so he took a photo and said his company would research.

Joe called back on Wednesday to advise the company that manufactured it was identified as Danco and they had gone out of business a long time ago. Numerous calls were made until he finally located a business in Huntington Beach that had the obsolete kit, but his company lacked an account with them. Joe needed my verbal commitment to pay for installation, including a reasonable charge for their many hours of research. Had I said No, the company would lack reimbursement for nearly 2 days of identifying, then finding the right part kit.

They took my word Yes as my bond, and they established credit to obtain the elusive part. Add to that the fact the original valve soldered to the pipe behind the tile had been installed upside down in 1986. Good luck in making this work, warned part supplier!

It was fortuitous that Joe, with 40 years plumbing experience accomplished the task within 30 minutes. It could have cost thousands had he failed and the needed to be tile broken--worse if valve needed to be corrected 3 decades plus later! Only down side to OEM, upside down valve is we need to turn shower bath regulator to red gauge for cold and blue for hot. We can live with that!

Joe taught me to use Zep enzyme to keeps drains maintained to keep sinks from clogs, showed me how to shutoff water in emergency, checked hot water tank for compliance, water pressure to my home (a 1st) and even advised me on an air duct issue..

Perhaps lower cost plumbers could have performed the other repairs but four previous plumbers failed to fix or identify the tub/shower regulator problem. The adage, You get what you pay for proved true. I highly recommend Bill Metzer's Plumbing and suggest that one request Joe in particular. I know I will--but with all he taught me to maintain my pipes, as senior citizens, I may never have need to call again for plumbing services in my lifetime!

Bill Metzger Plumbing is the best! Our sink clogged lastnight and was beyond anything myself could fix. I found the least expensive plumber quote online and had them come out first thing in the morning. After about an hour of troubleshooting, they came back and said I needed about $25,000 worth of work and if I wanted to sink to be functional, I had to spend at least 13K to get it in a working(non-clogged) condition. I decided to go with a second look from the trusted name of Bill Metzger Plumbing and they sent Zach out to handle the situation. Not only was he very professional and prepared (wearing face mask), he diagnosed the problem and in 10 minutes had the sink unclogged. Zach was troubled by the misleading information I had received and was very honest and straightforward about the state of the plumbing in my house. All that said, because of Zach's/BMP's honesty, I was able to get my house kitchen sink functioning during this quarantine. Thank you BMP!!

Came home from vacation on 5/21 to a cold shower. I emailed and called several companies to try and get a same day appointment because I just couldn't bare taking another cold shower. The only company I called that could accommodate my urgent request was Bill Metzger Plumbing. Not only were they able to get me in the same day, they (Art) was at my house within 30 mins of my call for an appointment. Art was able to quickly fix my water heater and also explained that at some point I will need to replace another part that is also broken but explained that it was not urgent. And I can't forget the receptionist in the office that answered the phone. With her help I was able to get this last minute appointment and have my water heater promptly repaired. I have used Bill Metzger plumbing twice in the last two weeks and both plumbers were professional, ethical and efficient. I had the shower valve replaced in the secondary bathroom by Art which required him to cut into the drywall for access. He as able to minimize the access hole which reduced the amount of time for its repair which saved me some money with the drywall repair person. Joe was able to replace the valve stems in the master bath shower which were stuck without have to access the interior plumbing. I would recommend either of these plumbers for your plumbing needs.

I called and wanted a quick estimate and the job done asap so I sent Yelp quote request to several. They had a very quick response with a quote, I agreed and they sent someone out within an hour or so. Jacob, the serviceman, arrived and was very professional and friendly.

He firmed up the quote and once I confirmed prices quoted over Yelp, he adjusted a little to honor it. Jacob also explained what was required by law and how much each line item was - I like that feature on the iPad. You can see everything and question any line item before you agree to it. Much better than trying to understand someone's chicken scratch and them selling their way through it.

He also didn't charge me for a few things that he said he normally would to help us out (knowing I was on tight budget). I appreciated him not nickle and diming the deal. He was working hard trying to get the job done knowing that our family of 7 plus relatives here had no hot water.

Once he was done, he took pictures and emailed them with my receipt. Easy to keep record in case anything happens. This was the professional finishing touches. Jacob was a rock star plumber. I would definitely recommend Bill Metzger Plumbing.

This was the 4th time I have hired Bill Metzger Plumbing, and as always they were timely, efficient and resolved the problem. I really appreciate that Bill, the owner, almost always answers the phone and personally arranges the service that I need. Very rarely do I have to speak with someone else or wait for a call back ... and spend the day wondering when that will happen.

Previously the repairs were much more complex issues than the plugged sewer today, however, Monty quickly diagnosed and cleared the problem. He advised me that with older homes, sewer issues may later need more complex repairs as tree roots and other issues can become costly problems to repair. Monty made some suggestions for how to possibly avoid a similar problem in the near future. Monty was professional, courteous and efficient.

This company is not the least expensive in the area, but I always call them first - recommend them to others for a prompt arrival and reliable service.

The perpetual leaking shower is no more.

Greg made one visit, quickly determined that what another plumber attempted, would not be worth the time or cost. When he returned one week later, exactly as promised, he replaced the shower valve to full function - without one thing - the annoying leak that's plagued us since April.

I've dealt with 7-8 service companies in the past year, due to a home move. Plumbers, HVAC, fire sprinkler, drywall, electricians - you name it.

Bill Metzger provided the best overall experience. From answering the phone with a professional approach, using helpful technology such as SMS for confirmations & updates, sending out a competent & friendly service tech to the quality work, I cannot imagine a better option for your plumbing needs.

Full disclosure, I cannot speak to the value, as I did not get other estimates. But, IMO, when it comes to plumbing (and electric), the quality of work and peace of mind is much more important than saving a few bucks.

Called Bill Metzger Wednesday night about a clogged sink drain. Bill picked up and scheduled a plumber for Thursday morning between 8:30 and 9 am. They sent status updates Thursday morning on exactly when the plumber would show up, as well as a short bio about the plumber.

Zack showed up exactly on time and spent an hour cleaning out our kitchen drain, and told us how to prevent it from clogging again.

You get what you pay for, and Bill Metzger delivers every time. This isn't the first time we have used their services and it sure won't be the last!

Tony from Bill Metzger Plumbing seemed extremely knowledgeable when he performed my initial survey, which was a large job, including two new bathroom faucet installations, replacing stop-valves for three sinks, a new water heater (mine was by some miracle 20 years old and still working), a home filtration system to prevent further issues (one of my faucets had frozen due to bad water in Laguna Niguel), and rehabilitating a main line frozen valve to the street.

The only ding for the rating is that their business was not as communicative as I would have liked. I sent a few emails clarifying Tony's estimate and never got a response, and when I attempted to clarify final contract issues, their responses were somewhat vague and cavalier.

Nevertheless, as I had gotten other estimates, their pricing was significantly less than Greenleaf Plumbing (and others), who all seemed hell-bent on signing me up for a service contract than actually performing the requested service. At no time did this organization attempt to fleece me for a service contract, which in my experience only creates a revenue-stream without any real benefit to the customer.

As far as the job, Tony was outstanding, performing all operations as contracted in the same day. There were a few complications (expected with a 50+ year old house), however he stepped-up and quickly resolved them.

Their product/pricing/final execution is great, however I recommend that they bone-up a little with administrative customer communication.

Watch out for the prices! We had them out to extend the dryer line and they did a decent job. However, in the process they fixed two toilets at $145 EACH and bid $600 to fix a kitchen faucet leak. One of the toilets was terrible and ran and ran. We subsequently had another company in and they fixed the kitchen for $200 and gave us the part to fix the toilet. Bill Metzger did offer to make good on the toilet or I would have given them only one star. It was all done by the time I called Bill Metzger to complain (had to calm down first).

We have a very unique water heater that needed a special order part. Tony was diligent in tracking down the part. Where I have issues is that I had to constantly follow up on status. My tenants went a week without hot water, to no fault of the plumber, but I had to follow up every day, even after I got assurance that I'd get a call before the day's end. If you choose to use this provider, take heed that you will have to constantly follow up, as proactive response is not their strong suit.

He was very timely and when he was delayed half an hour this last time, the office actually called to let us know! Very much appreciated. This review is long overdue. We used Bill Metzger Plumbing make a house call to look at a leak under our kitchen sink this past December. Being a plumbing novice, they could have told me anything and charged me anything; they didn't. Parker, the technician they sent, was honest. He fixed the leak, explained how and why it happened, and only charged me their minimum fee. Additionally, when we booked the appointment, they were easy to work with and accommodated our schedule. Parker arrived on time, was well dressed (can be a big deal with a plumber!!!), and professional. I highly recommend this company.

From the get go a representative answered my call and provided me with great customer service. I was later called by Bill who advised me that one of his plumbers would respond to my home around 4 pm on the same day. I was sent a text verifying my appointment (which ran a bit late but was notified). I then received yet another update and was given the eta and a picture of the plumber and his name. Upon arrival both Jacob & his partner Matt were polite and friendly. The were very knowledgeable and receptive to my needs. They later provided me with a quote for future work and fixed my problem (my puppy chewed the wiring to the water heater). In a few words, it was nice to see good old fashion customer service and no nonsense labor. Both Jacob & Matt were awesome, along with all of the company. Mike was great. We were having some issues with our fire table trying to convert it from a propane tank table to a natural gas one; the part that was needed to hook it up to a natural gas line was broken and the manufacturer of the fire table did not carry that part on its own. After doing a lot of research and looking around, Mike was able to find the part and did the installation for us in no time. Mike is resourceful, attentive, and really has great customer-centered attitude. With winter now right around the corner, we're really enjoying our fire table in the backyard.
Update: We also needed to have a carbon filter for our softener and an under-sink water filter installed. Dennis was great. Could not have asked for a better plumber. He was attentive, easy-going, and really made sure these installations were done properly. He really took his time and did multiple checks on the faucets and their connections to make sure there wasn't a hint of a single drop. He wasn't in a hurry to finish the job. We love that we have crystal clear drinking water and non-irritating water for the showers...all thanks to Dennis.

I needed a new water heater and found them on Angie's List. We had a horrible start, but their actions afterwards impressed me.

To start things off, their sales person did not bothered to explain a 10-yr model and a 6-yr model are the same product, only with different warranty period. I did not know that and chose to pay for the better model so it will be trouble-free longer. Needless to say I was not pleased when I found out a 6-yr model was installed.

When the installer arrived at my driveway I got a call from a second plumber that's quite a bit cheaper, but I stayed with Metzger because I already made an agreement, plus they have good reviews.

When installation was complete the installer told me that I need to contact the manufacturer directly if any problem occurs. In addition, the installer damaged (buckled) my dryer in the process and did not inform me. I only discovered later in the day when I did laundry.

So far it was a nightmare.

But when they read my review and found out what happened, they contacted me to try to make things right.

They called multiple times to apologize. The installer came back the next day and fixed the dryer. He also stated I can call them for any problems, and they will deal with the manufacturer if warranty parts are involved.

They extended the warranty to 10 years (turned out to be their normal business process when someone purchases the 10-year product) and waived the cost on the extended warranty.

Everyone has a bad day. It was definitely a very bad one for them. But if anyone deserves a second chance, their actions afterwards prove they do.

I am doing a bathroom remodel and asked them for a bid. The bid they gave was extremely high. I already had another bid from a well know licensed plumber. Metzger's bid was more than double for the same work! When I told their guy, I thought it was high, he asked for me to sign the bottom of the bid to show I received it. The wording in front of the signature line says: I hereby authorize you to proceed with the work at the flat rate of $ (and the dollar amount was written in there). I sad no way would I sign that. He got irritated and started to mock me, like yeah, sure that would be a hard scam to pull off! So sorry I wasted half of my day waiting for them!

Thought I would leave a message and hope someone would call me back the next morning.....he answered!!! I definitely do not recommend this company. I called them out to fix two toilets. And somehow both toilets needed to be rebuilt however they were very new. Charged me $500 to rebuild. One toilet was only making a loud noise after flushing. That was the only problem with it. After the plumber left, Toilet was still making loud noise after flash and was now running intermittently. Extremely frustrating. Had to call them back out the following day, was told on the phone that there would be a $40 visit charge depending on what the warranty covered. However we were never told about a warranty. Guy showed up and left during work hours so we were unable to communicate due to work obligations. Toilet is still making loud noise after flush. I am extremely disappointed that I paid $500 to resolve an issue and it's still persists. Oh and I forgot that they left the part trash in our small bathroom trash can. And parts on the floor for my baby to find.
Third visit And now after flushing, toilet sounds like a small jet plane is taking off. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed.

Used to be trustworthy company, but not anymore. Bill is retired now and rent his trucks to unprofessional technician. Dennis charged us $500 for 10 minutes job. Just changed a valve under the bathroom's sink. Just look at these pictures. Don't recommend.

This is a late review but I felt it was worth writing. It's always awkward having a plumber come to your house idk why lol but the guy who came to fix my clogged bathtub was super friendly and professional and i was really happy because normally I have to wait around in a 4 hour window for someone to show up but with this company they gave me a time and the guy (I think his name was Toby) was ten minutes early which was nice because I was able to get it handled and move on with my day. Fairly priced and less of a hassle than I was expecting. I've actually already told a couple a friends about this company and as far as I know they have had no complaints. Hope this is helpful!

Okay so I had to call again. Girl in office was nice and Leon came out and did the job, a good job and he was nice too but the appointment got messed up a bit and he was late. When I called the office to check on my service I got another girl named Kisy?? Whoa people, she was as nasty as the smell of my backed up sewer which made the call even worse. What is with people and being rude? You have a job, you get paid, don't argue with me, I'm the customer. I expect better, we all should and especially the owners of the company should expect better, unless she was the Owner...

This company didn't have a guarantee. I spend $1225 for the backyard drain blocked. After they solved the problem, it didn't work.

We had a cracked pipe going into our slab that ended up being a much bigger job than expected. Monte & crew were amazing. Monte clearly takes pride in his work and made sure everything was very well done. We couldn't be happier with our experience. These guys are trustworthy, do great work, and charge a fair rate. They are available quickly and show up on time. They exceeded our expectations. If we ever have another plumbing issue, we won't hesitate to call them.

It is difficult to believe that business people can be so irresponsible and still stay in business. We had a toilet issue which was damaging the ceiling below. The Bill Metzger plumber arrived (late) replaced something and said it was fixed. It was not and continued to leak. Water was turned off to avoid further damage. The plumber was notified of the problem and promised to return. 3 hours after he was to return there was no plumber, no call and no response to our call. We sent an e-mail: no response. We called another plumber who agreed to come out and investigate. What a disappointment.

Worst plumber ever. A complete rip off. Never never use this plumber. A plumber named John came to house. Over charged me by 400 percent. ( I know I had another really good plumber give estimate). Did really poor quality work that leaked and he had to come back to fix. Told me it would be 3000 to replace one toilet
Charged me six hundred dollars to replace parts on a leaking toilet. I would never recommend. There's an even longer story but too time consuming to tell. Stay away from this company

He's a very nice man, easy to work with and so are his plumbers. We've had a lot of issues in the past with our home, including issues with our HOA, & being the VP of our HOA...

Had pinhole leak near my water main in an elbow joint. Had several plumbers take a look at it and give me a quote. Jacob at Bill Metzger Plumbing had the lowest quote because he said he could do the job without having to dig up the concrete ring around the water meter. He was right. He finished the job in 2.5 hours and the leak is gone. Thanks Jacob for a job well done.

Poor customer service!! I was asked to sign a blank invoice so that the bathroom faucet parts could be ordered. I also had asked that a faulty shut off valve be replaced. The plumber quoted $250 for replacement of the two shut off valves. I requested that all of the work be done at the same time when the parts were available. It was not explained that the shut off valves needed to be repaired first to determine which faucet parts were needed. During the follow up call with the plumber I mentioned that I know of a general contractor who would replace the shut off valves for less of a cost. Since I signed a blank invoice I call the company and spoke with Bill Metzger regarding my concern of a signed blank invoice in which anything can be added and the I would be liable. This is poor business practice. Bill dismissed my concern and told me that I had been informed that the shut off valves needed to be replaced prior to ordering the faucet parts. He proceeded to inform me that I could set up an appointment for the faucet repair once I had replaced the shut off valves. Companies who are genuinely invested in the quality of work and service demonstrate accountability and quality customer service. This company does not. I have had other prior negative experiences with this company. I will not use their services again recommend that potential customers select a different plumbing service provider. It is a wonder that they stay in business!

Just had a water heater go out today. Called Bill Metzger Plumbing in HB. They had a plumber come out by 5 pm, water heater changed by 730. The plumber they sent out his name was Jacob, very knowledgable and great at what he does. If you call Metzger ask them them to send out Jacob, guaranteed a good job.
This is first time I called Bill Metzger Plumbing, will definitely use again.

Parker responded to our home regarding a slab leak. He thoroughly explained what the problem might be and how he would handle it. He explained what the cost would be. He asked if we wanted to proceed. Yes, Of course! We replied.

Parker brought in his equipment and got to work. He was efficient and completed the repair within an hour.

Parker was respectful to our home, he is skilled in his trade and is an all around cool guy. We are thankful to him for his help.

For quality plumbing work, fair pricing and quality work I recommend Bill Metzger.

When we found a leak under the kitchen sink- we called Bill Metzger because they'd previously replaced an old water heater and we had such a great experience.
for the garbage disposal Rambo and Luis came over to check it out. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. one of them filmed the diagnostic process with an iPad which I found impressive; a great reference tool for any next steps. they found an element of the garbage disposal had loosened- Rambo tightened it, talked to us about how it happened and tested the results. no leak!!! we were so relieved that we weren't going to have to replace the garbage disposal!
they didn't even charge us!
we were truly impressed by Rambo and Luis and we will continue to call Bill Metzger for anything in the future.

When my water heater started leaking at 5 pm, this company was called. A plumber was at my house within the hour with a new water heater. He was great, installed the heater, cleaned up after himself & left. He explained the install and answered any questions I had. This is a reliable, prompt company & very nice to deal with. Would highly recommend bill Metzger plumbing. He stands behind his customer if anything wasn't up to your needs. Had his staff out many times over the years.
Especially Jacob one of his best service men. He always goes far and above to correct the problem and explains all you need to know.
Recently had outside drain cleared. First service man didn't quite get it done well enough. Bill sent Jacob and I could see the difference in how great a job he did.

I really felt like cheated. They told me it's going to be free no obligation quote. It when the plumber showed up and when he was looking at the problem one twisted pipe he accidentally moved and my water issue got resolved. And he told me I must pay $110. It was no obligation free inspection only appointment and after which if I like the price then I should pay them and get work done. But he literally fight with me on me paying him money. I also texted owner but there was no response. I didn't wanted drama with my kids being at home so I paid but I will drag them in consumer court. And believe me they are literally overpriced.

Our kitchen dishwasher was backing up. I was looking forward to using this plumber. We waited for during out 2 hour window, the plumber drove up, sat in front of our house for 15 min., then drove off. We called the office and was told they went to a house down the street. The plumber never came back. We must have called the office 4 or 5 times during the day to find out what was going on. I felt badly for the office staff. Not sure what happened to our plumber, but I called another company and they offered to come out right away, and fixed the problem.

Water heater was leaking, so I shut of the water main and called them. They were busy and said the technician would be there later in the afternoon The technician showed up about 9:30 and said his service calls went quicker than expected. He evaluated the replacement and gave the quote. After excepting the quote he replaced the unit and brought it up to code.
I have replaced water heaters in the past, but we are in escrow to sale our condo so I wanted a warranty associated with the replacement and to make sure it was to code. The price was fair and I didn't have to break my back doing it myself. Very happy and have already recommend them to a neighbor.

I've been looking for a good plumber since our old one, a single guy who worked on his own, retired. I like the smaller companies that are nearby that you can count on when you need them, and that don't overcharge you. On Christmas morning we had no hot water at the kitchen sink. We are usually DIYers but the water heater issue was too much for us and we didn't feel like dealing with it. We figured the reason it didn't heat up was probably within the controls and most likely the thermal couple. I called my chosen plumbing company the day after XMas only to be told they don't repair Rheem water heaters, only Bradford and that they could put a new water heater in for about $1300 as long as nothing unexpected needed to be done. That did not make us happy so I decided to give Bill a try since he was nearby and his reviews were satisfactory. I was pleased to be able to speak with him quickly and directly. He educated me about CA's new 2018 plumbing regulations (UGH) and said if a repair could be done that they would do it. Jacob was the plumber who came. He called when on route as we requested, was polite and friendly and after evaluating our Rheem said he was 99% sure he could make it work. We were thrilled to see that's exactly what he did. The job was not easy - I watched as he had to struggle with frozen old parts and was very glad we didn't try to do it on our own. The price was not cheap but we felt it was very fair and our old water heater should last us quite a few more years. Metzger is our new plumbing company - we'll see what the future brings.
I would have given him 5 stars but the only make of water heater they have on hand to immediately install is the Bradford. I feel more comfortable with the Rheem and it's ease of repair but apparently it would have to be ordered. I called other companies and that seems to be the general consensus around here (the Bradford water heater) so it's not only Bill Metzger.
Overall we were very very pleased!

The job was not easy because our house is almost 50 years old, but Jacob explained what he had to do to make everything work. We could not be happier with the finished product. Imagine getting a slab leak a week before Christmas......We panicked!
We called Bill Metzger, after hours, he answered the phone and send us
Vince early the next morning.
The water was coming from under the refrigerator, and we thought it
was the fridge water line, but after carefully removing our huge fridge
from itś wood cabinet, Vince told us it was a slab leak.
We could not believe our ears so we decided to call another plumber
just to hear the same news.
At this time we decided to call ePipe. They came and inspect the leak and
told us they could do the job with ¨minimal¨ destruction to property, and
as you can imagine that was music to our ears.
Coating the pipes with epoxy is not cheap. To give you an idea it´s like
1K for every outlet....toiled, tub, shower, sinks, etc.
In our case it was $15K, which we were willing to pay to have 10 yrs,
thatś the length of the guarantee, free of leaks and ¨minimal¨destruction.
The reality is that their contract, in paragraph #4, states that they reserve
the right to open holes on cement, tile, granite, marble, or whatever is
necessary to finish the job. I do understand that plumbers are not magicians, but the possibility of mayor bath remodeling was there,
especially on a 33 yr. old home. We may call them in the future, after
we remodel our bathrooms and the valves are new and easier to access.
That same night we called Bill Metzger, and again after hours, he answered
the phone and promise to send Vince early in the morning.
Vince was there at 7:30 am, and was able to find the leaking pipe with his
first wall hole. Not only was he experienced in finding the leak, but
his expertise saved us from having to reroute the pipes.
Vince inserted a smaller flexible pipe inside the existing pipe.... and voila!,
like magic the problem was solved.
We can´t express our gratitude enough to Vince and Bill Metzger.
They are there when you need them, on time, clean, knowledgeable,
courteous, fast, and the price is the most reasonable of any plumber
we had in the past.
If you need a reliable plumber do not hesitate to call Bill Metzger,
and ask for Vince...........you can thank me later.

Friendly & professional plumber, Art. Cleared one shower drain and one sink drain of hair buildup. Quick job. Everything fine, but I felt the price was high - $300. I contacted two plumbers through Yelp! afterwards to ask what they'd charge. Their estimates were $120-$150 total. Ouch.

It's is really hard to say you had a great day when your experiencing a major pipe break that has damaged over 60% of your house. Today I will say Parker was a life saver! A real professional that is clearly an expert in his trade. After 3 days of frustration w our home warranty, we HAD TO HAVE RUNNING WATER. I reached out to Angi. My experience with Bill Metzger plumbing was fantastic. Called late in the day and they were able to work around my wierd schedule to get my water heater fixed.

Turned out when Monte arrived to check out my issue i really needed a new unit. As we talked about options i remembered i had some pipe problems under a couple of sinks from another plumbers shoddy work. I showed Monte and he happily did the additional sink work as well as install a new water heater late in the day. He uncovered hidden issues with my old units install job and really went above and beyond. He was at my place till 10:30 making sure it was right.

Would not hesitate to call again.

I highly recommend Monte and crew. The water heater went out after hours and Monte came by at 8:30 pm to look at it. He diagnosed the problem, gave me some advice, and I am grateful. He honestly said that he doesn't stock the part needed and it may take a day to get it. In the end, I used another company who worked with our brand- Monte did not charge me for the visit. This company showed great integrity and I know that I will call them in the future.

My water heater broke and Bill Metzger Plumbing was able to get two technicians to my home the same day. Mason and Dean arrived with a friendly and extremely professional attitudes. All work was explained to me as the installation took place. I had several questions during the install and Mason was very patient and most informative, which made the process easier for me. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them for future plumbing issues. I was smelling gas every time I used my fireplace. I called Bill Metzger Plumbing and they were able to send out a technician the next day. Luis was amazing! He was able to diagnose the problem as a defective gas valve. He replaced the valve and as part of the service checked the whole system for any leaks and tightened everything up where needed. Luis was very thorough and kept me informed throughout the process. So far this has been a great experience and I would definitely recommend them in the future. Thanks Luis for all your help!

Their technician Greg came out the same day, and was super knowledgeable and professional. He definitely knew his stuff. I was appreciative that they were available the same day, as the issue was a gas line leak at the property, and it needed to be repaired before the gas company would turn the gas back on. Everything about Greg's visit was great, from how he visually inspected the issue, then explained to me his thought process. The only reason I did not provide a 5 star is that after he called his office to give me a quote on just the work of doing the diagnosis (to isolate the gas leak itself), the quote provided was considerably more than another plumber I had called earlier that day for the same work. So I thanked him for his time and coming out, but I decided to go with the other company on this job. In the future, I'd definitely consider calling back Bill Metzger plumbing, and might even request specifically for Greg, as he was an outstanding plumber/technician.

From the first person I spoke to - to the work that was completed by Monte - it was first class. They were able to get him over right away and he quickly went to work to make a replacement. Monte was professional, helpful, and his work was high quality. They had the parts on hand and the work was completed quickly. My current water heater starting leaking last Saturday late afternoon. It was 24 days out of warranty. I started making calls as to replacing it but to no avail. I did receive verbal price quotes but it looked like Monday would be the first time I could get a replacement, maybe. My last call was to Bill Metzger Plumbing. Bill is a long time local plumber with a great reputation. Bill said he would have one of his men out first thing Monday to look at the situation. Jacob showed up at 10:00. I told Jacob I wanted to change water heaters brands and put in a Bardsford & White 75 Gal. Jacob gave me a great price and asked if I wanted to do it now. After taking cold showers I was looking for a warm shower. Jacob called the supplier, they had one and it would be delivered. After about 3 hours Jacob was done with the removal and installation of the new water heater. All and All a great job, great price and great service.
I highly recommend Bill Metzger and Jacob.
