HISTORY
Established in 1960.
Originally founded in 1960 by John Biard and Dave Crockett ( a direct descendant of legendary Davey Crockett), the company has earned a solid reputation for quality and honesty over the years. Recognizing the opportunity offered by Orange County's postwar building boom, Dave and John decided to establish a plumbing business. Working with builders of everything from tract housing to the nicest custom homes, they quickly built a reputation for quality work, responsive service, genuine honesty, and affordable pricing. Their own work ethic attracted similarly minded plumbing professionals and the business continued to grow.

Had a soft spot on my dry wall and figured it maybe water. Was recommended these guys by a good friend. They were able to show up the same day and open up the dry wall and show me my issue. Although we couldn't get anything fixed because of structural issues that needed to be taken care of first before the plumbing issues, they assured me everything will be alright and told me the next steps to take. Eric was very nice and accommodating at explaining everything. If you're lucky enough to get him then you'll be set. But don't worry rest assured he told me everyone at B&C are the best of the best. Can't wait to have them come back and finish the job. I can tell I'll be in good hands in the future with all my plumbing needs. Will recommend these guys to anyone!
Did a good job, a little bit late, had to come back again to double check

I have no words to describe the fantastic service we have had!!! Our bathroom had a major internal leak which caused several issues including lack of water pressure. After going through 5 unsuccessful plumbers, Grohe recommended Biard & Crockett. Matt came in for an inspection and finally found the root cause. Luis was equally helpful in clarifying all of our questions and always being available when we had any concerns. Eric came over to install a new valve and did a fantastic job. The replacement was very complicated and required breaking our wall. Eric did an amazingly clean job with minimal wall breakage and also cleaned up our bathroom post the mess. We are so impressed with his work and are relieved to have finally found our lifetime plumbers!

I went here in search of a faucet adapter so I could hook up our water filtration device. The fellow that helped me made a sarcastic comment at first but apologized immediately after he saw the look on my face in reaction to his comment. Since I had been to Lowe's Home Depot and the other plumbing store down the street already, I was in no mood for a sarcastic comment. In the end, this fellow was thorough I had brought both the faucet attachment and the part from the existing faucet so he could fit them both. Within 5 minutes and just $3 later, I left a happy camper. When I got home and installed the adapter, it fit perfectly and now I can drink yummy water. So I like this place. I'd go back for any other plumbing needs.
Outstanding customer service. Very helpful in diagnosing our situation and finding the perfect solution to get our shower working like brand new.

I woke up yesterday to a broken, leaking water heater. I called Biard and Crockett around 7:30 am. Hermalinda said she would speak with her service manager because all plumbers were fully booked for the day. When she came back on the phone, she said they would have someone out between 10 and 12. Gregg, the technician, came early at 9:45 am. He evaluated the water heater and said it had to be replaced. He had a water heater delivered and went to work. By 4:00 we had hot water again.
They are expensive, but as the saying goes, You get what you pay for. I have nothing but praise for Biard and Crockett. We have used them many times and have always been satisfied. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality work.
Thanks to everyone involved.

Good company, workers are always very busy. The backend parts(billing, scheduling, project management) seems a bit scrambled to me. They always answer the phone, but, the right person may (or may not) call you back in a timely manner. Also, the grate to complete my installation was back ordered, I had to call and harass them to get the job finished. (of course they submitted the invoice at the end of the first day for the entire balance). It took over a month to get this. I get it, business is hard, but, They could get 5 stars if they just over communicated and delivered what they promised. It was still an overall positive experience for me. I would recommend them for any AC work. Job took 5 days in total from start to finish to install a new HVAC system, but, they constantly had to go to another job, get parts, or wait for something to keep the job going.

We've been customers of Biard & Crockett for a while now, both for plumbing and AC work, and as the 5-stars show, we're very happy. Great work, prices and customer services. We recently had Jimmy out for the AC work and he was great to work with.

We had a small leak situation and Bill Hanson came out on time and was friendly and the job was done pretty quick and it seems to have solved the leak. I would highly recommend them and use them again.
After removing an old toilet in preparation for a new one, I found that the metal toilet flange ring had rusted away and needed to be replaced so I went to my local hardware store and bought one there. Because no one there had any knowledge of plumbing issues, I decided to drive over to Baird & Crockett and ask if the ring would work for my problem and if necessary, to buy the correct part in case it didn't. When I got there I explained the problem, as well as the fact that I had purchased a replacement part elsewhere and that I wanted to ask for their advice. What I encountered was a rather surly counterperson who apparently had little knowledge and apparently even less interest in helping me. When I explained the story - complete with photos I had taken - he curtly responded that he didn't know if I had the right parts because he had no idea what I had purchased. I told him what I had purchased but he repeatedly responded he had didn't know what I had because he hadn't seen it. I then told him I had the replacement part in my car and went to get it. No sooner I had turned and taken a couple steps toward the door than I heard the counterperson start talking with another counterperson in hushed tones. When I walked back in, they were still talking; when they saw me, they stopped. I showed the counterperson the replacement part I had purchased and then, again in a demeaning tone, he proceeded to tell me he didn't know if it would work but that it probably wouldn't. During this exchange, another person called out from the office you know, we sell parts too.... I said I know but that since the hardware store was next to my house, it was just easier and more convenient. The second person then exited the office, looked at my part, and said yeah, it'll work. Although he, too, was somewhat abrupt in his response, he at least was not as rude or as condescending as the first counterperson.
I went to Baird & Crockett with the apparently mistaken assumption that if I had not bought the correct part at the hardware store they would tell me and I that would buy the correct part from them. It became immediately obvious, however, that because they assumed I wasn't going to buy anything and only had questions, they had no interest in dealing with me. WRONG! If I had not been treated in such a rude, condescending manner, I had also intended to purchase a Toto toilet from them.
I have heard positive things about Baird in the past and this is why I went there. Obviously, however, customer service is not their strong suit. I will not go back, nor will I recommend them to anyone else. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one was because at least a second salesman intervened and answered my question.
Solid Plumbing work - they came out on time (were actually early!) and were able to repair all of my older house plumbing issues. They were even able to process a warranty for me to save me money on my repairs.
It would be 5 stars if not for the seemingly high labor prices compared to other plumbers I have used in the past. However, I do believe you are paying for quality work and knowledgeable plumbers who will do it right the first time.

The water heater we bought back in 2006 went kaputt, so I'm glad the one we bought came with a 10-year warranty. They came out and replaced it. Removal of the old unit and installation of the new came with a charge, but the new water heater was covered. We're up and running again with no problems.
I'm giving one star for B&C showing up on a Friday morning fairly quickly after my wife called them to replace a leaking water heater while I was out of town and unfortunately up in the mountains where I wasn't getting good cell reception to be able to communicate with her. The rest is pretty much downhill. If you are a widow or a single woman, please take note. Biard & Crockett was recommended by someone my wife knows so she trusted them. Here are some things I find unacceptable. First, the installer replaced our 10 year heater with a 6 year heater without asking my wife if she would like the same 10 year heater. Second, he didn't offer to install a drip pan, which I understand is pretty much standard procedure these days. Third, the fitting he installed on the top of the heater was defective so water was apparently leaking for quite a while after he left before my wife went out to the garage that evening for something and saw water all over the place. She had to have a neighbor shut off the main to the house around 10:00 p.m. so was without water until she could call B&C the next day to fix it. Fourth, neither tech that came to the house two days in a row offered or suggested that she replace the 38 year old corroded water inlet valve. Fifth, the charges were definitely inflated for a 6 year heater. Since the charge sounded kind of high, my wife made an anonymous call to B&C the following day to ask about prices to replace a water heater like ours and was quoted less than half the price that she actually paid. When I returned to town I called the manager (Greg) at Biard & Crockett and basically got the run around and excuses. No offer to address any of the issues. He suggested that the tech who did the work call me. I declined because if a manager can't help resolve problems, what good would it have done to talk to the installer? Bottom line-be extra cautious about who you call for plumbing services especially if you are female or a male who isn't familiar with plumbing issues. Avoid B&C like the plague! We also did not get an itemized receipt, only a short description of the work completed and a total price. I find that questionable as well. I can understand having one issue but to have several issues and a manager who was unwilling to take any responsibility for any of it was very disheartening. I replaced the last water heater myself about a dozen years ago but unfortunately was not around when this one needed replacing so I tend to keep up with costs and how things should be done. Greg bragged about how many years they've been installing water heaters. That doesn't impress me one bit. A respectable job at a fair price and a responsive manager or owner when problems arise should be the main barometers and that was definitely not the case here. Maybe I was too generous in giving B&C one star, but unfortunately they don't offer a lower rating.

The only company that responded to our late night call. We are so appreciative of your quick response and quality of work you provided our family during our emergency need. Was recommended by a neighbor which already gave me the heads up, May not be the cheapest, but we have always been 100% satisfied. You truly get what you pay for with this company and we feel that it was worth every penny. Thanks again for your help.
Left an email to Biard and Crockett the evening our water heater stopped working. Early next morning, Eddie and Kevin came out to diagnose the problem. Kevin immediately saw the water leak at the bottom of the tank and said a replacement was needed. The guys were especially helpful in answering my questions. And they were careful and methodical in replacing the gas water heater. By noon, we were back in business with hot water.
No one likes pluming problems, but for many years now I can say I like the service from Baird and Crockett. I have recommended them to two other people who have also found them to be competent, and fair. They seem to know what that are doing and don't tell you you need work that isn't need.
I called Biard & Crockett to replace my Washer Outlet Box, which included the shut off valves, box, and the copper pipe pieces. Daryl got it done quickly and professionally. In the evening, I finished it by replacing the drywall sections. Price was on the upper end of the spectrum, and I expected it from the beginning from a licensed and insured company with a physical store right here in Orange. Also, I asked for it to be done on the same day of the quote. For me, I'm willing to pay more for high quality work, giving me a peace of mind. Staff was professional. I loved the text message notifying me what car and when they'll be coming over. I definitely recommend them.

Frank walked me through the steps of what was wrong with the tub diverter spout and explained what had happened to the galvanized nipple. He solved my problem by creating a bigger tub spout space and had access to make the repair. A previous repair had been done by a handyman. I'm glad I used a plumber this time.
The plumbers installed a new natural
gas line under our patio floor to our
house for the new gas slide-in stove. They were highly skilled and professional
plumbers focused on safety.
We will be using Biard & Crockett
for all our future repairs or installations of any plumbing or air conditioning
needs.
We had a leaking water heater, and for years had always used Biard & Crockett for parts & a plumbing issues, & even had them do a plumbing issue at my aunt's house a couple of months ago, so they were the first to call for a quote on a new water heater. The sales rep (Brad) i talked to was, very rude, and had very much an attitude.
I have a slight hearing problem, so when i asked him to repeat pricing, he was put out,
& at the end when he gave me pricing, he told me this was ball park, & asked me in a very snarky attitude (you do know what ball park is). Their customer service attitude has changed from courteous to rude, and being a third generation Orange resident, i've always liked giving hometown businesses my patronage, but will no longer give Biard & Crockett mine nor refer them anymore. I used Water Heater Man, who is also in Orange, and everyone from their sales rep, to their installers, were courteous, efficient, very helpful, & prices are lower, and they give senior discounts, which saved us money, as opposed to what Biard & Crockett wanted. Biard & Crockett needs to revamp their customer service attitude, and just because they've been there for a
long time, doesn't mean you'll stay relevant. You lost me as a customer after so many years, and there may be more if your customer service attitude doesn't change, & can refrain from talking down to customers.

This plumbing supply store and showroom probably has all the hard to find parts a do-it-yourselfer needs, and has actual people to talk to that actually know their stuff! I shopped for hard-to-find faucet washers (68 cents) for the old, leaking price pfister faucets in my house. HD and L doesn't carry them. Another time I got Toro spinkler head inserts that the other store didn't have. This is a place that when I'm in the area, I'll stop in. The experience from each staff member makes your shopping a whole lot easier, rather that from the big box store - where you have doubts as you walk away!
I used these guys about 10 years ago for my home in Yorba Linda. I remember they came out when my wife was there (and I was not). They ended up tightening a screw (or something) under the sink - which took the guy about 5 minutes. He came and was gone in 15 minutes. If memory serves me, the bill was something like $325. I remember this because the next day I drove down to their office and basically threw the bill on the reception desk saying things like, WTF!?!?!? Fifteen minutes of work for $325?!?! The female receptionist (who seemed nice) was a little scared, I guess... although in hindsight it seemed like she may have experienced situations like this before. The guy came out and said he would knock off $100, which he did. Even at that, I felt ripped off.... and I was.
Fast forward ten years...
I have commercial property. The guy who manages it chose Biard & Crockett to come out for an estimate. They charged $65 for coming out (which is fine) and said that if we decided to let them do the job that they would back off this $65 from the final bill. Great! It turned out there was a pump valve that needed to be replaced. The estimate was for around $500, and we were told that they would back the $65 from the estimate off the bill. So, we would be looking at $435. My manager okayed the work.
A few days later the Biard & Crockett guy shows up. He replaces the valve pump. He was there for about two hours.
We were charged close to $700. WTF?!?!
When I saw the bill, I called a trusted plumber. This guy knows his stuff, and is very honest. I told him the make and model of the pump and he looked up the going price for this particular valve pump. It's right around $100.
He said labor should be about 90 minutes, and that if he did this job the bill would have been about $250.
Why was Biard & Crockett charging us over $400 more than what this plumber would have charged?
Well, let's do some math:
If Biard & Crockett's labor fee is $100 per hour:
Labor (two hours at $100 per hour) = $200
Part = $100
Subtract $65 estimate fee (already paid)
TOTAL: $235
Our plumber would have charged $250, so maybe this scenario isn't the best. So...
What if Biard & Crockett's labor fee is $200 per hour:
Labor (two hours at $200 per hour) = $400
Part = $100
Subtract $65 estimate fee (already paid)
TOTAL: $435
This would be almost $200 more than what my plumber would have charged.
Still, though - this $435 is still about $200 less than what we were charged.
Maybe if we up the wages and parts costs a little more?
Okay, what if Biard & Crockett's labor fee is $250 per hour, AND the cost of the part is DOUBLE what my plumber said it is:
Labor (two hours at $250 per hour) = $500
Part = $200
Subtract $65 estimate fee (already paid)
TOTAL: $635
BINGO! (Although this, still, is a little less than what we were charged!)
So, apparently their M.O. is to charge about $250 per hour for labor and mark up the going for retail prices 100%? Excessive? You decide
Now, what would you be thinking if you were on the paying end of a bill so inflated? Would you feel RIPPED OFF? Or, would you be thinking something like, Hey, I know the price is stratospherically high... but the guy who came out with the estimate was really nice.
I don't think so.
No, you would probably wonder how a company that reams its customers is still in business.
Remember, this is the SECOND TIME I've been soaked by this company. The first time about 10 years ago, and now. Never again.
Please do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and choose a company whose business philosophy includes customer service and satisfaction. There are many plumbers out there who treat their customers the right way. Over time, they generate more business due to repeat services, and customer referrals. These are the types of companies who earn your business, and trust.
Biard & Crockett? Not so much.
Highly NOT recommended!

We had an old water softener system sitting in the garage that's not working for years. Eddie Arrey of Biard & Crockett removed the pipes and rearranged the faucet. He thoroughly explained the process to us before starting the project. Very professional. Thanks Eddie for the great work. I highly recommend Biard & Crockett Plumbing. Do N.
Larry C and Patrick Y's reviews are right on the money IMO.
B & C is a retail store and they provide plumbing services. I've used both.
It's the place to go when you can't figure it out, or find it at Home Depot or Lowe's.
The store has a parts counter - the guys are skilled tradesmen, and are very helpful to the DIY'er. I've seen the same guys working there for years.
I go in with questions, drawings or concepts - here's what I want to do and they have given great advice on what I need, and how to do it.
I contracted with their service department to replace all of the gas pipe in my backyard with fused PVC gas lines. It was done a few years ago and everything works great. The work was done on schedule, had no problems at all.
They allowed me (and my day laborer) to dig the trenches for the pipes, saving me a bunch of money.
Why not 5 stars? Pricing in the store is higher than HD & Lowe's.
Sometimes their part is easier to use - or of higher quality. Yes, a few times over the years I have went in for advice - then went across the street to HD to check the price.
What usually happens is I end up getting the readily available parts at HD and the specialty connectors at B & C.
I value the quality parts and service they provide - pay for it once and get it done right!

We needed a new hot water heater due to a slab leak, so I did alot of research on local companies and got alot of quotes. Biard & Crockett was by far the most down to earth, responsive and honest company out there. They didn't try to upsell me on a bunch of other things like the other companies. They were professional, polite, fast and thorough. I am very happy with my water heater, the installation and the service provided by this company. I will definitely use them again without hesitation. It's hard to find such a reputation company these days!!
I was looking for high-end plumbing fixtures and Jeff help me out. We received our fixtures as ordered and they are beautiful in my new bathroom. Everyone at Biard & Crockett was pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend them.

You get what you pay for - but this time it's meant in a positive light. These are the kind of businesses that get out out of business because of big chain stores (e.g. Home Depot) or online purchases. Though you will probably find similar items cheaper somewhere else, you will not get the same quality, expertise or customer service.
I went to Home Depot first to buy a faucet, put it in, had to purchase extras because the hoses were too short to save money, and then it was a piece of crap. Talked to my dad afterwards and he sent me here and I bought a new faucet. The selection here was pricier, however the quality is way better. No comparison. Then the one guy even opened up the box and checked everything there for me while I was there since I told him I was installing it myself. He basically walked me through the installation and that's why it took only about 10mins for me to take out the new piece of crap I bought and install this great faucet.
Go here for great customer service. Go here for good quality. Go here because these are the type of places you want to support instead of big corporates. Thank you for everything.
These people are very helpful, extremely fair and accommodating. Excellent service and products.Would highly recommend them
Once again, on time, no fuss, no mess. Great friendly service! Always our first call for plumbing and HVAC. Thanks again!

Fast, prompt and professional service. Thank you John for replacing my water heater this morning. Outstanding!
Very poor customer service. After 10 minutes waiting, we gave up. The installed a water softener system in my mother's house improperly. She's given up dealing with them. I can see why. The didn't bother to see how the pipe Routing worked and ended up providing softened water only to some but not all fixtures. Then wanted to change $400 just to inspect how to correct their error and oversight.
If you have looked everywhere and and still can't find that part you need Biard and Crockett will have it!
Been in HVAC and plumbing for over 10 years and without a doubt when I need anything Plumbing related Biard And Crockett can get it in a timely manner and are always extremely friendly when I go in.
Highly recommend !
This business is thee best. A/C went out on a hot day, of course. Call scheduler, Melinda, couldn't have been more helpful, very professional. Once Darryl and Hussein arrived, they got right to it, found the issue and fixed it rt on the spot (wiring). They worked clean, efficient, and charged very reasonably. I would absolutely recommend this business.

Pretty expensive and the plumber came and didn't do a very thorough job, left parts out of the installation that I had to replace myself. Very disappointment since it was pretty expensive to have them install products I bought from them, not very good customer service. I'd go elsewhere.
They severely damaged the countertop while replacing my sink. The damage was extensive and it looked like the only option was to replace the entire bathroom cabinet. We looked but could not find a replacement that would fit into the existing footprint. In a few days, Baird & Crockett sent over an expert repairer. I was very skeptical that he would be able to make a repair to my satisfaction. But to my amazement, he did an awesome job - it came out great! The repair looked very natural like it was part of the stone. I couldn't be happier. After the repair, Biard & Crockett installed the new sink and did an excellent job. They cleaned the area up under the sink but left the dirt from their shoes all over my bathroom. I would have given them 5 stars if they hadn't done that.

Had my waterless tank annual checkup and cleansing done and like always, the communication was excellent and service was done correctly. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Want to say thank you for another great service!!!
Biard & Crockett - Horrible! Greg gave me a price on the phone to replace recalled toilet parts (3rd recal BTW...uggh), since our prior plumber was not available and the manufacturer, Flushmate, uses them for warranty work. The young plumber who showed up to repair nonfunctional toilets in our office gave another price and Greg would not honor his word. Bad contractor. Unethical pricing. Stay away!

I was referred to Biard & Crockett by Home Depot and confirmed with my friend who is in the business that this was a very reputable business. However, my experience this last week was not what I expected. I was looking for basic information about my shower and had intentions of buying a part from them but after the poor service I received I ended up walking out. The gentleman at the counter was rude and condescending. If he is any indication of how the business is being run then I would not recommend them. I for one won't be going back.
Biard and Crockett replaced my tank water heater with a tankless water heater system. They were very professional and the installation went very smoothly.
Kyle was very professional and worked with us and got the air conditioning job done right. After many assessments by other companies and getting multiple different diagnosis, I'm really glad I used Baird and Crockett.

We had an issue with one of Biard and Crockett's trucks accidentally backing into our beautiful, wrought iron security gate at the top of our driveway a week ago. I called Biard and Crockett's office and spoke with Greg, who told me that day that it would be taken are of to our satisfaction by a wrought iron company of our choice or the company that they use. He made arrangements and in less than a week, our gate was repaired perfectly without any evidence of the damage. The customer service at this company is excellent. I am very impressed with the service we received.
9-21-2016. We had a leaking pressue relief valve on our tankless water heater. John came out same day and replaced the valve, flushed out the water heater and replaced the water softener cartridge. He was done in less than two hours. He seemed to have done a good workmanlike job. The price was reasonable.
I had an unused under-the-sink shutoff valve go bad and it began to slowly leak, so we had a plumber come out to replace the valve. This is something I would normally tackle on my own, however, our domestic water connection supplies two attached units/neighbors and I did not want to have them go without water for an extended period of time in case I needed to make an extra trip to the parts store during the replacement.
I was out of town during the time of the install and my wife was home during the service. She watched the clock and noted that the job took about 15 minutes start to finish - let's call it 20 minutes max to be generous/safe. When I came home, the valve was replaced with a new one and everything appeared to be dry.
Here's where the issues begin for me. I reviewed the invoice to find that the fee is $152.66 for this repair. Wow, that's awfully steep for a 20minute (max) job. I decide to give the plumber the benefit of the doubt and review the invoice to see where this fee came from - how much time did he say he spent, how much was the part, etc.
While the paper invoice has a dedicated section to Time Detail, there is no information filled into the boxes about start time, stop time, or time spent. There is no information about the cost of the replacement part. So I called their contact number after hours and left a message requesting a call back.
Cut to the follow-up. I receive a call back from Herb himself. He let's me know that the new shut-off valve was about $15 plus tax and his labor cost was $132. I inquire if they bill by the hour or by the job, to which he responded they do not bill hourly. I let him know that we kept track of his time and that it took about 15 minutes from start to finish, 20 minutes tops. If I extrapolate 20 minutes @ $132 (which excludes cost of the part) to an hourly rate, that works out to $396/hr. I plainly told him that 400/hr is not a reasonable hourly rate and 150 dollar fee for this job was exorbitant. Herb said that I would have been welcome to do the job myself. When I asked if $400/hr is a typical plumber's billing rate, he said it depends on one's perspective. He also said that it costs money to drive trucks around. He would not adjust the price in any manner.
Did the job get finished? Yes. Am I aware that companies need to make money and probably have minimum callout fees? Absolutely. Did the paperwork/documentation of the repair stink? Yes. Was the pricing exorbitant? Herb says no and I say yes. You can decide for yourself.
A friend of mine told me about this Plumbing supply house, they seem to have the hard to find items along with other fixtures for your plumbing needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Their a little hard to find because the store front is in back next to other retail businesses. I'll definitely be coming back.
I have owned my home since 1979. Biard and Crockett has been my choice from the very beginning. Excellent advise and high quality plumbing parts.
Darrel who provided the service was on my Kohler shower faucet was pleasant very competent. My experience itch B&C over the years has been very comforting and reasonable.

I have been here many times over the years as my parents had used them for a few plumbing jobs when they built their home in Peralta Hills and for parts as things needed replacing and I usually accompanied my mother. She wasn't always thrilled with them as she felt they were overpriced but they were known in the area for doing quality work and having higher quality brands.
Shoot forward 5 years since the last I was there and my goodness has customer service radically declined.
My husband and I went in to look for a new shower handheld/slide bar/trim set up. I can not emphasize enough how rude, condescending and curt the man who 'assisted' us was when speaking to me.
He tried to 'school' me on looking online first to figure out what I wanted and then just order it there from him. I stated I had looked online but wanted to see it first in person not just some online or catalog photo and he got very angry and stated I obviously didn't understand how many 100's of models were available and no one has the room to show options on the floor.
We started walking towards the door and he kept after us, snarling and speaking rudely. Repeating over and over, just tell me what you want and I will order something for you. You obviously don't know what you want.
His tone and attitude was deplorable. I'm not writing all the bits of our conversation here. I have told a number of people this story and I have been surprised to hear something similar over and over.
Maybe they only want to sell parts, or work strictly with contractors. Maybe they are just jerks now behind the counter. Either way I will never give them my business nor refer anyone else to them.
Don't waste your time or money here.
We've been using Biard & Crocket for over 8 years. They've replaced all our plumbing in our house, and continue to help maintain it. Yesterday Eric came out to unclog our kitchen sink. He was later than anticipated and the office kept me informed and assured he'd be there. It took about an hour to unclog everything but the kitchen is up and running again. He explained everything he did & even gave me some preventative advice. I like the fact the talk to you and explain what they've done. Very thorough and professional!
Tom is 100% courteous and patient with us. He is very knowledgeable and transparent as he showed us how he made the diagnosis. He was very thorough in checking out all the components and he was very honest about each itemized cost. Tom is the second technician that we called. There is no comparison in the honesty and quality of his service. He gained our trust and we will use Biard & Crockett from now on and no one else.
Eddie from B&C was very helpful in making suggestions for the predicament I had with regard to what appears to be a broken drain line in the bathroom. He went above and beyond in trying to diagnose the problem.

Excellent customer service, very fair prices and very knowledgeable! Thank you Jeff Biard and his team for speedy and excellent service!
Biard and Crockett always come through. We've been their customers for many year's for remodeling and maintenance and repairs. They answer their phone, make quick response appointments, are on time, friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They never suggest selling us products we don't need.
We highly recommend them!
The technician arrived early. He had a nice and professional demeanor. He examined my project and immediately fixed it. After fixing my problem, he made sure the area was cleaned up. Great job!
We recently needed to replace our ancient water heater. I knew we were on borrowed time with this water heater, as it was here when we bought our home and we've been here 23 years. When I saw the water pouring out the bottom, I turned off the water and got on the phone. This was midday. First I googled the heater brand and discovered that they stopped making water heaters back in 1989! I guess I got my money's worth. I called Biard & Crockett first, but they could not get anyone here till after lunch the next day. So I called another company who got here later the same day. They told me that the water heater needed to be moved and gave me a quote for over $7000. I called a handyman who has worked for me before and he could be here early the next morning. But then early the next morning Biard & Crockett called to say they were on their way and could be here in about 15 minutes! Brandon arrived and took a look and gave me a couple options, one of which I chose. He said another guy was already on his way to pick up a similar water heater to what I had. My problem was that the way it had been installed so long ago there was no room for a larger tank, and that a tank like what I had (30 gal) was actually more expensive since that size is not used as much anymore. Regardless, I got a brand-new water heater (only a 6-year warrantee) the very next day, and paid only $1250 for everything. I might've gotten away cheaper with the handyman, but I know it would've been a much more elaborate job with me having to go buy the tank with him, whereas Biard and Crockett just took care of business and were out of here in just a couple hours. All of this took place in pouring rain. In fact, it was due to the rain that the handyman was available (he usually works construction, but it was cancelled) and even Brandon got to me earlier than they planned due to the rain cancelling another job. I've had B&C do other work for me in the past and I am just as pleased with the work they did this time.
Good and professional work
Response was quick and work done efficiently and gave me estimates quickly
Eric showed up on time, opened the drain, even showed me what to try if it happens again before looking for professional help, and did not overcharge even for a Saturday call.
They also did a great job correcting a water heater issue I had last year. Highly recommended.
My brand new dishwasher was not draining at all, the Biard & Crockett Plumber investigated and discovered that during install this little plug inside the interior part of the garbage disposal had not been removed to allow the dishwasher to drain properly. Goodness, that was fixed in a jiffy. Then I shared with the Biard & Crockett plumber, my water heater probably needs replacing because I'm not getting any hot water. Again this honest plumber said, Ma'am, the temperature thermostrat somehow got turned down to low, so he simply turned it back up to high. And of course, now I have hot water. Much appreciation goes out to Biard & Crockett for an Honest days work.

We have been using Biard and Crockett for several years now and have always found them to be very professional and reliable. This last time was for a plugged bathroom sink and, once again, perfection. I think we get great value from their services.
This was my first experience with Biard & Crockett. We have got a water leak in the attic above a high ceiling. It had taken one quick call to schedule a visit by a technician of my choice for the next day, as I requested. Kyle on the phone was very helpful and understanding.
They have called me later to remind me of the appointment, and then again to update on the arrival time.
Matt Evink, a technician who I have asked for, was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Working in harsh conditions of a dark attic, he was able to quickly locate the leak source, and to fix the problem. That saved us from cutting the ceiling, which would be a common option.
Hi five to Biard & Crockett, and my gratitude to Matt. He is the best plumber I have ever met.
I had just replaced the water heater in my home, and the night before Thanksgiving noticed that our water was not warming up. It was approximately 9:00 pm, but I called Biard & Crockett anyway, hoping and praying someone would answer. Kyle Bobrowski answered the phone right away, however, he informed me that due to the holiday no technicians would be available until Monday morning. Yikes. The thought of going through Thanksgiving weekend without hot water was dismal, especially with 18 people arriving the next day for dinner. Kyle offered to walk me through some steps over the phone -- maybe it was a simple fix since the heater had just been replaced. About five minutes into the conversation, Kyle said you know, I only live about 15 minutes away from you, and I can come over tonight. Kyle swept onto the scene the night before turkey day, arriving at approximately 9:30 pm, looking right out of GQ magazine - as handsome as Superman and just as much a hero! After a few minutes in the garage, Kyle came out and asked me to try the water - yay - it was hot again! At the end of his late-night call, he handed me his card - lo and behold, Kyle Bobrowski is the President of Biard and Crockett. He wanted to give his workers the holiday weekend off, so he stepped up and did the job himself. Kyle, you are my hero! When I offered a tip at the end of the call he refused to take any money, so I hope this review will properly show our appreciation for your professionalism and responsiveness. Biard and Crockett is my plumber for life. Thank you!
Eric was a great plumber. He did a great job replacing a kitchen spigot and installed a new kitchen faucet. He was professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to me. I would use Biard and Crockett again and request Eric again.

Don't do it. Totally condescending and rude. This guys crap doesnt stink. Don't give them your money. Found what i needed on amazon while standing in the store, walked out.
I really like working with Biard & Crockett! We use them in our HOA communities, they just get the work done! Always fast and efficient! Never had any problems in all the years we have worked with them.
Thanks Biard & Crockett!! :)

We have been using Biard and Crockett for at least 15 years for various jobs. This time I needed two things: the cleanout maintenance I get done every year and a half, and fixing or replacing a toilet. Gregg arrived in the expected time and was friendly and kept me informed every step of the way. The toilet was replaced, but afterward there was a problem with the tank refilling. Gregg returned and fixed the problem quickly. In the past I've used B&C to clean out our water heater, fix broken pipes and reassembling a dryer vent.

I have used Biard and Crockett for years. Their plumbers are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Their dispatchers are considerate and respectful of your time. If, on the off chance they need to reshape , THEY CALL ahead of time and don't just let you stand around waiting for a plumber or technician that cannot come. I've recently also started using Biard and Crockett for my heater and air conditioner. I've been very happy. They are reasonably priced, arrive within their appointment window, do a great job and are friendly and respectful. I will continue to use Biard and Crockett and would recommend them to anyone.

Called these people out to diagnose a non-working furnace. They told me the control board was out but that the furnace was made by quattro which is no longer in business and there are no parts. They told me basically I needed to replace the entire furnace and would give me a quote for that.
Did some internet sleuthing and discovered that quattro was indeed out of business but had been bought by Texas Furnaces. I called Texas Furnaces and gave them the model number and learned that they still sell parts for the unit.
I called back the Baird and Crockett technician, Luis and told him what I found and he said he would follow up but never heard back from him and didn't return my phone calls.
I then found SoCal Airflow from Yelp and called them and explained the situation. They sent out a technician Aubrey who confirmed the control board was out but said the part was in stock. It was not a cheap part but way less than the cost of replacing the furnace.
Not only did I not want to bear the cost of replacing the whole furnace at this time but more importantly, when I do, I will replace both the furnace and AC with a heat pump so replacing the existing furnace made no sense.
I'm OK with a tech telling me a system is old and should be replaced, but fooling me into thinking that is the only option crosses a red line.
The lesson is clear. When someone tells you that a unit can't be repaired because there are no parts, check the internet. I recommend calling HVAC Plus as they sell directly to consumers. Give them the make model and serial # and you can quickly find out if the part actually exists. In fact even if the tech admits one exists, if they quote you a high price you can check with these people to see what it really costs them.
Great pricing with quality work and technician Tom was fantastic in his explanation of all my options along with Kyle (president of company) giving great customer service along the way.

We use Biard & Crockett at multiple properties as our first choice when se need a plumber. We have used them for fireplace gas line repair, multiple toilet replacements, as well as all types of water plumbing repair. They have always responded quickly and have done a professional job. All of their employees, from dispatch to technicians have been outstanding. Recently we had a water heater issue in which we were given a choice between replacement of a 75 gallon tank or possibly a cheaper alternative. We chose the cheaper route which ended up failing within days. I called and they had someone out with a new water heater and installed within a day. They also gave us credit for the failed effort and applied it against the new charges. Can't say enough good things about them!

I wasn't too sure who to call for a gas plumbing issue, but turns out they do this too! I got fit in really quickly and the techs that came out made the whole thing painless. And now my new oven is sitting perfectly against the wall without a Huge project. Couldn't be happier. AND unbeknownst to me, my street was being slurried when they showed up, but they took it like champs and were able to roll with it instead of calling off the job! Did I mention they have a Veterans discount?
Debra was awesome in trying to have a technician come out as soon as possible to replace our hot water tank. She was great over the phone, and helped to put my mind at ease. Eddie was fantastic - a really nice guy who took care of the issue with a much appreciated professionalism. A great company that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
The faucets in our master bath were installed about 30 years ago when we did a room addition. The faucet stems began leaking and our plumber told us we'd have to replace the valve body, faucets, handles and spout which, with the plumbing labor and cutting into a wall for access, would cost about $1000.
I sent photos and a sketch of the leaking faucets to Jeff Biard and he recognized them ! They were made by a company that went out of business about 25 years ago. Our faucets were made before a design change and fixing the leak only required replacing the stem packing which I was able to do myself.
Certainly glad Jeff had the knowledge and history to point me in the right direction.

Don't even know where to start. We've used them in the past with no issues other than they're a bit pricey. This visit was for a backed up drain, main line cleaning. When the earliest appt was 4 days out that should have been the first clue to go elsewhere...anyways they finally show up on a Friday at around 2pm. They run the snake thru a common bathroom vent first and only get so far, then they move to a vent at the laundry room and can still only make it a certain distance which isn't even close to reaching the sewer, and this is a typical tract home in the city of Orange so it's not like it's a long main drain run, I digress, he goes to a clean out at the kitchen sink that's even further than the laundry room and surprise, can't reach the blockage. After 2-3 hours he says, I don't have the equipment or manpower to take care of this right now so you should call Roto Rooter. He said they'll have the equipment readily available and it should only cost about 250-350 for them to clear this, then he says if they tell you it needs to be hydro-flushed give is a call back and let us bid on it....Are you kidding me!!! You realize we're basically unable to use water because everything is backing up into the house and you want us to call you out to bid in a job you're walking away from. Oh I forgot to mention the drain back-up problem actually got worse after he attempted to fix it. So he finishes doing basically doing nothing and charges $450 but says Roto Rooter should be able to do this for 250-350??? Wait, you're charging more for making it worse but they can fix it for less? What's wrong with this picture. Bye bye Baird & Crockett. But thank you for directing us to Roto Rooter who was able to make the repair, it ended up being a pretty involved job that was both labor intensive and time consuming , BUT, they didn't walk away from it and got it done!!

What you get here can't be touched by the big box stores. Greg and his crew are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys you'll meet and they have been a staple in the community for many years. There wouldn't be anyone else I'd trust to work in my home. If you want to waste time trying to learn how to DiY or expect them to hand out hours of free advice then shame on you. Go do that at a major retailer with some 18 year old kid, And remember, If you think a good plumber is expensive, try hiring a bad one.
The company came out in a timely manner for the non-functioning A/C condenser. The problem is (and unfortunately it wasn't the first time), they were trying to price-gouge us for replacement of a capacitor for the condenser which literally took 5 minutes for him to go to truck and put in.
Upon looking online for the cost of the capacitor (under $10 and purchased later by us at $5) and for average price for installing it, it was $125 to $250. This company quoted almost 4 times that. And this company charges $85 for coming out which would have been wrapped into final cost.
Instead we replaced it ourselves for the cost of $5.
This should not reflect on the workman sent out but on the prices charged by Biard and Crockett. They prey on the uninformed and anxiously needy who must get things fixed as soon as possible. We find this unconscionable.
Kyle saved the day. He took care of the return for us and was kind and helpful. He will be our go-to from now on. It took a little while, but confidence is restored in Biard & Crockett.
Had B & C out to do pre-summer maintenance on our A/C system. While going over everything they discovered the condensation line on the system had not been installed correctly. Luckily we hadn't had any issues but it could have been a mess as the system is in our attic and leaking water would have ruined the ceilings below. They gave us a fair price and corrected the issue quickly. Thanks to B & C we can feel confident that our A/C system will work efficiently this summer.
I just recently learned that our tankless water heater had to be flushed once a year and it's apparently very expensive to do in Irvine. Good thing I found this place that charged $185, one of the more reasonably priced ones in OC.
Making an appointment was easy. They confirmed my appointment a day or 2 before, then sent a text as they were on their way. They got here in the appointment time slot, got the job done, was very courteous, and was able to send me the invoice to pay online. Very smooth and painless process. I would definitely book them again next year.
I had 2 showers with a leaking problem and the valve to the washer was stuck in the on position so I couldn't install a new washer until this valve was replaced. Frank was excellent in communicating with me what he was doing and explaining the reasons of why I had plumbing problems. The repairs were done and he was a complete professional about everything. Thank you Frank!

Had a significant back up in my laundry room sink, and kitchen sink. It overflowed onto the floor with dark water. (Yummy). I got the water to stop flowing but it didn't recede. Eventually, I got the number of these guys.
The lady on the phone was very nice. Unfortunately, she said they could only get there between 1p and 3p; I was talking to them at 7:30am. So that's the only reason for the 4 stars. If they would have been there faster it would have been 5.
The guy who came was named John and he was very nice, knowledgeable, and very professional. He had arrived around 245p, so he did get there in the time frame they said he would. But later he ended up telling me I lucked out. Normally, they wouldn't have been able to come out on the same day.
Regardless of the time issue, they fixed the clog and even shop-vacked the floor. He also gave me some advice on preventing the same issues. Last but not least the price was great!
Was there two days ago, had a picture of a floor drain was trying by my picture to buy some options of floor drains to save the hundred mile trip to LA the man was so condescending, rude and any other word that could be used, I walked out and that was that I will never go back. And the man that I work for has spent over $5,000 there this year Lord Knows Why.
We are repeat customers. This company stands behind their work. I appreciate the great customer service, qualified plumbers and fair pricing. I am happy I have found a company that I can trust.

We have used this company for several projects, but most recently for a new heater. Their work is consistently dependable and I've come to trust them.
I also joined their friends and family program and they come out three times a year; one A/C check up, one heater checkup, and one visit to drain our water heater and fix any little problems we may be having. It also gets us a 10% discount on any repairs needed.
Great service, but way overpriced. Their plumber, Matt, is excellent--one of the best and most professional I've ever experienced.
wow!
If you need someone to do plumbing or air conditioning work, this is the business to call first. Quality dependable work from polite courteous professionals.

I tried to fix my dripping faucet myself but wasn't able to. They set up an appointment right away and Matt the plumber was great. He was courteous and prompt and answered all my questions. I would be happy to recommend them and use Biard and Crockett in the future.
We had a nightmare situation with the company who initially installed our AC system. The system stopped working after just a couple of months, and then we had to chase the installer for several *years* (not a typo) to try to get him to show up to repair it. He kept showing up every few months after we sent tons of reminders, and each time he would find a different solution which often involved changing our different components (and charging us each time). He never got it running for more than a few minutes before it would shut down again, so finally out of frustration we looked for another AC company. Biard & Crockett showed up on time, they were courteous and clearly knowledgeable, and in just one visit they identified the problem (there was a leak in the condenser that required welding) and got our system running beautifully. It's been over a year now and we've had zero problems. I'm writing this review because they just came out for checkup, which I really appreciate because they proactively contacted me to schedule the checkup. It's great to know we're headed into summer with a working system, and we now have a trusted partner to keep it going in the future.
Yesterday, our entire main line became clogged. It occurred in the afternoon and we had an urgent medical appointment to attend. Eric and Alex were able to come out and fix the problem after our medical appointment, The office staff at Biard and Crockett worked diligently to accommodate our circumstances and, as always, the technicians did a wonderful job. They saved the day!

Our water heater broke down on us and needed replacing as it was over 15 years old. We were without hot water for almost a week when Biard & Crockett Plumbing came to the rescue. After almost a week of looking for a plumber, I came across them, called and made an appointment for the next day. They were very responsive. Everyone that I encountered were all really nice and courteous: The guy on the phone, the person who did the initial inspection, to the guy who did the job, all sounded friendly. I could tell they value my business unlike some other companies that would make you feel like you're only one of their many clients.
I was waiting on a new credit card to arrive in the mail and I was going to use that to pay. They were really accommodating to my situation and was told that they can do the work for us that day to get us settled before the holidays (this was on a Friday before labor day weekend) and just pay when the card arrives.
The price was on the reasonable side. I called SEVERAL companies before I found Biard and Crockett. I was quoted by others so much more for the same work. They did a really good job and we are now with hot water once again. It's been a month since then and so far, I haven't encountered any problem with our water heater. They are now my go to if/when I need plumbing services.

I was in dire need of getting my air conditioner repaired right in the middle of a nasty heat wave. Board & Crockett was able to get me appointment within a couple days which I was very excited about. They had great follow up confirming my appointment as well as sending a text and allowing me to follow the technician with their exact ETA to my home. Cesar was my technician. He was awesome and very customer oriented and informative. He to me everything and I felt very comfortable as you never know with these type of experiences they could tell you one thing and it's not even that. He had my unit up and running within 15 minutes and I was one happy girl! If you are in need of an AC repair I would highly recommend this company.
My experience with B&C has been very good over the years. Jeff is always helpful and is always able to find the right part for me. He is also ready to listen to my non-technical description of my problem and propose possible solutions. I have used them for in home plumbing services and, with the exception of one grumpy plumber, have had great serve. The last service repairman took time to understand my issue and then offered his point of view. He performed the service we agreed to and was clean and tidy in he process. While I think B&C prices may be higher than other qualified plumbers, good service is worth the confidence.
Our a/c was not functioning properly so they scheduled Tom Y to come, he was very knowledgeable and explained everything and found the best repair options, and resolved the issues. He also is very Courteous and helpful.
Had purchased our own Hot Water Recirculating System device and called them to have them install it. Erick came out and did his magic and all is well. Appreciated that we didn't have to buy the device from them in order to install it since we were able to find it for less online. Have used them in the past for other plumbing jobs and always seem to run smoothly. we like that we can also call them for plumbing advice as needed. Their prices are reasonable and competitive without compromising quality.

Cancelled an hour before they were suppose to show up. Apparently appointments don't matter to them so be very careful before scheduling them, and trying to plan accordingly.
We set up water heater maintenance service. and every time we schedule service they call at the last minute to cancel. In addition, they want to schedule an appointment only if they have cancellations in their schedule. Definitely not a customer, focused business.
I use them for my home and for my office. Everyone (in the office and the technicians) are always very friendly and helpful! Great service all around!
When it's time for your annual Backflow Device inspection, choose Biard & Crockett. They make it so very easy; just fax them the paperwork you received (it's just 1-page) and they do the test and file it with your water district. Simple and affordable--other companies and individuals quoted me a lot more for the job. Thank you Biard & Crockett. You're the best!
I had a tankless water heater go out. Ugg. So no hot water for a family of 6. B&C was out there in one working day. They assessed the issue. They helped me negotiate a great deal with the supplier, picked it up and had it installed the next day and voila no more stinky family. Also the workmanship and communication by Brandon who installed it was superb. There were no surprises and removing/installing a tankless is no easy task. Also want to mention that Greg the manager at B&C was extremely helpful when it came to working with the tankless manufacturer/distributor. I don't believe the deal would have been as favorable had B&C not put their name behind it. I have been going to B&C for almost 40 years since my father first introduced me to them. There is no other company I would trust to work on my properties!
Biard & Crockett plumbing service was a recommendation. I am going to re-model my master bathroom with thought of perhaps using these folks, to do the plumbing. Understand they have a store and again they were recommended.
I called them for two issues, to change the faucet stem. The faucets are Glacier Bay and to fix the cartridge in the shower.
Long story short, the repairman stated he couldn't fix the faucet, they were foreign to him and didn't know where to find the part. He did replace the cartridge in the shower an hour and $200 bucks later.
I went to OSH, found the replacement faucet stem and replaced both the hot and cold faucets myself.
Shower works great, thought the price was a bit pricey considering my home warranty would have been $75. Called the plumber for both issues not just the shower. Specifically, the faucet stem. Was disappointed with the company.

I'm very satisfied with the installation of a soft water system. Plumber was friendly and competent.

These guys are real plumbers, with real plumbers the bulk of their customers. Don't expect them to teach you plumbing using some product you found on youtoob.
People who shop local, get advice local, then buy online destroy the good local retailers, too bad we can't give each of them a one star so the good retailers can avoid them.
I've used Biard & Crockett for over 40 years and have always found them to have what I need. In addition, they have competent counter personnel. Yesterday, I spent a considerable amount of time with Taylor on a gas valve issue. I was impressed with his knowledge of the products and the time he was willing to spend with me which would have amounted to a small purchase. I ended up not purchasing anything because Taylor suggested a different approach to the problem. Thank you Taylor!

this company will not leave me alone
They keep trying to sign me up for maintenance plans.
I have told them time and time again to take me off of their calling list and never to contact me.I have told them time and time again to take me off of their calling list and never to contact me.
not only are there prices horribly expensive, their plumbers try to scam you for large tips.
I had a horrible experience with their worker, I was simply trying to get a toilet installed. Not only did they cover the toilet in a bunch of greasy wax, making it not returnable they broke parts of the toilet and didn't even tell me . I wound up having them install an old toilet from another room. instead of a discount after all of this, the worker dared to ask for a tip and kept hounding me and hounding me, saying that most people tip 20%. This is gaslighting in the extreme.

I had a slab leak in my garage and, through a referral from one of my neighbors, contacted Biard & Crockett for immediate repair. They sent Greg, the plumber, the next day and he immediately went to work . Greg identified, isolated the leak and installed a by-pass hot water line so that we didn't have to break the slab. In sum, I was very satisfied with Greg's performance and professionalism. I would recommend them for plumbing services in the future.

B&C was contracted to diagnose a furnace not working. Fan was not coming on. They responded with a tech next day. Initially said the motor capacitor was old and not meeting specs and should be replaced. It would be a low expense repair, after chasing down the part. Then they discovered that the control board was probably bad. Tech stated that his supervisor informed him the unit's manufacture was out of business, and no parts were available. Tech stated that he was gathering info for complete replacement of HVAC system, and would have quote same day and could begin the work immediately.
While he was crunching numbers for his $ 9K quote, I looked the control board part number up online and found it available locally in stock. B&C stated that the internet does not normally prove to be accurate, when it comes to parts and there availability. Informed B&C that I would be seeking a second opinion. Never did hear from them again.
Contacted SoCal Airflow Pros, Aubrey was dispatched next day, and diagnosed the control board did in fact have burn spot on the circuit board.
He inquired to local parts supplier of availability, and returned in 30 mins with new control board, installed and tested thoroughly. The furnace is now working just like new.
2 hours labor and control board part were 96% less than B&C diagnosis of full replacement of HVAC system guess.
In summary, I sought a repair company, found a Full Replacement firm pretending to be a service company, did basic research myself, and then found a true service company in SoCal Airflow. Both companies probably met industry and company profit margin expectations in different methods. One offered sales, and the other service.
Will be writing review of SoCal Airflow next. It will be 96% better than this one, with different result - Satisfied client!
Great job guys. Prompt on time - replaced a toilet that I have done many times myself. This one required a professional and they did it right. Good price. Way to go!
Much of their work was done inside the house. They were extremely respectful of our home & us. Great job. Had to replace air conditioner. This involved working on the heater which is located in main entry & pathway through the house. They were very considerate at all times and they left leaving everything clean! This is the second time we have used their service & highly recommend this company!

Had an unfortunate tank crack on an old toilet which I wasn't wallet willing to replace yet. Hunting down a suitable tank was challenging as many shops only seemed to have tank lids. Those shops that had tanks the cost would buy a current toilet including the install, that was to much $. (I understand vintage yet for this era of toilet those shops want to gouge the wallet.)
Sent an email about my search and Ken responded that he'd take a look to see what was on hand. He responded next day and had pulled a couple of used tanks that they had. Mentioned I was welcome to look through the others that were available. I was a bit worried about price yet no worries, their price was fractional to what a new toilet would cost. That was a go to me. He pulled two tanks and one of them was spot on for looks and size. Found a lid and did the deal.
The setback on this tank was not the same for our bowl but was able to get it fitted right. That 1 different really wasn't an issue as initially thought. Our old toilet is back to working thanks to them having a tank and lid available. Their tank combo was actually 12 years older than our bowl date LOL. A franken combo but it looks pretty good. A testament to the Made in USA in the 1950's. (YAY!)
Overall good prompt email replies and over the phone conversations courteous. In store same courteous service. Would definitely call them for future plumbing parts.
Thanks Ken!
Mondays are never good for problems to occur, especially plumbing. Thankfully, B&C was instrumental in taking care of all my issues and made a mess of a day into the best day of the week.

We are always extremely satisfied with the work that Biard & Crockett do for us. They are thorough, honest, and courteous.
Brandon of Biard & Crocket Plumbing Service Inc. provided us with top notch service for our plumbing issues. He was out last month for what was supposed to be a warranty toilet tank installation, which, unfortunately developed into an emergency broken shower handle with rushing water.
Brandon worked hard to resolve this emergency and was very professional.
We had a secondary toilet leak this week and Brandon, again, came out on time, and professionally remounted and repaired our toilet leak.
I think Biard & Crockett Plumbing is going to be our Go to professionals for all our plumbing needs. Thank You!
I have hired this company many times and have never been disappointed! They offer exceptional services and are very professional. Good value and they offer options to resolve your problem.
Matt did a great job for us. He was very efficient, kind, and helpful during the whole repair of my two bathroom sink shutoff valves and stem replacements. If I need anything done around the house again, I'll ask for Matt.
Eddy was great! Very professional and explained everything he was going to do to unblock my drain lines. When a simple snake procedure didn't work, he thought it might be a stick baffle in the drain. Sure enough, it was and he unclogged the drain line. I had another plumber come a week earlier and he couldn't clear the drain line. Thanks Eddy!
I have never experienced such condescension and rudeness from a hardware store before. I was looking for a certain product, asked for it by name, and was told I needed to buy the full product (around $50+) rather than the part that was broken, which costs about $4 elsewhere. When I was consulting with my plumber on the phone, the cashiers were talking negatively about me while standing about 5 feet away. One of them said very aggressively and angrily, I can get you whatever you need. Just tell me what you want, even though I came in with a list of what I needed and he had just told me that what I asked for wasn't right.
Later, I tried to return 2 parts that I was convinced to buy for $100, even though I didn't need them, and one of them asked me condescendingly, You couldn't replace it? It's a simple fix.
It was a bad experience, and I won't be back. Their products are $10-$15 overpriced compared to Home Depot across the street. They really need to work on their customer service.
Great plumbing company, with experienced employees! Not the cheapest in OC, but one of the very plumbing companies.

Only purchased products from this company. When phone line was inadvertently answered, the negative smack Jeff Biard (one of the OWNERS!) was saying about his own customers was HORRIBLE! - doesn't want to take a call from them as they'll ask too many questions, how overweight someone was, people's marital status, etc. Truly shocking & unprofessional! With such a lack of class & character displayed by one of the owners, they don't deserve your business. The shop is hard to get in to and they can take days to get back to you. There are plenty of other places that are great to work with.
I recently purchased the pieces I needed to repair the drain inside of the wall.
The only reason I'm giving them 4 rather than 5 Stars is this: My initial comment to the not so friendly or bright counter person was: I need something to replace this with. Somehow, Mr Personality translated that as 'I want to REUSE this'. I'm still scratching my head over how he came away with that, given that I had brought in the leaded in tee, which when cutting it out I had intentionally left nothing on the tee to clamp to so as to maximize what was left behind in the wall. Even with my limited knowledge of plumbing I knew that I'd have to use the large rubber and stainless clamps to reconnect it all, which meant I would need to have something to clamp to.
Seeing that I was getting frustrated, and I suspect knowing that Mr Personality is not the brightest star in the galaxy, another fellow stepped up and said No, he wants to replace it.... Apparently that was enough to 'reboot' him and it was relatively smooth sailing from there on.
I'll still go back whenever I need pieces for a plumbing job because despite my encounter they are still far more knowledgeable that most of the people you'll find at the Home Depot or Lowes. Of course there are exceptions to that, but I suppose I could win the lotto too...

We had been really suffering for the last 3 days our house going up to 88*. And we had a same day call and show up. Darryl was really nice and very fast! Thankfully our house is starting to cool!
Wonderful repairman!! Pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Biard and Crockett has alway been this way.
Biard & Crockett is a plumbing company that we have used for close to 30 years and have always apprecited their great service and fair prices. Recently we had them out for a potential drain issue. The Plumber they sent out was Eddie Array. He determined the issue and explained what needed to be done and fixed it.
At our request he also took the time to inspect our various water shut off valves and found a number of them were frozen open and were basically inoperable. We had him order the valves and they will be coming out to install them in the next few days. We would have never have thought to test those valves so we are very appreciative that Eddie took the iniative and checked all of the valves. We have had the unfortunate experience in the past of having water damage so we are PM maintenace sensitive. Thank you Biard & Crockett for going the extra mile for us and checking our other plumbing connections.
Thank you Eddie for a job well done!
Tom came out to service our aging furnace. He did not push to sell us a new one. Instead, he did a very thorough job assessing the furnace and showed us what was wearing out and what needed to be replaced. He itemized the cost of each component so we know exactly what we are getting. I think Board & Crockett technicians are very professional, knowledgable and honest. We highly recommend them.
My toilets were backing up as well as my shower and tub, and a plumber was dispatched within hours. Eddie and Matt, throughout 2 days of working to clear a difficult situation, explained each step along the way as I was super anxious and worried. They put me at ease with no up-sell and complete transparency of the process, the costs and the time spent. Checking back to the company to be sure the estimates remained within my expectations, Eddie continued to offer positive solutions as well as future steps to be taken so that this problem would not happen again. Using rootoring, cameras, jetting, resetting of the toilets, the problem was found in the line to the sewer. I have used this company for several years and will continue to do so.
great to find a plumbing company we can rely on.They are very prompt and courteous.
Eric found and accurately located where the plug was occurring. He then had Marcelo ? and his crew jackhammer our kitchen floor after making sure everything was covered and kept as clean as possible. after the section of pipe was replaced the line was snaked and flushed to insure it was functioning correctly. Also we were not pressured to have more plumbing done and that was a great selling point for us. Will highly recommend them.
Be aware of over priced repairs!!!
I was happy to get a quick response and repair but WOW a huge bill followed with no detail!! Tech was there 45 min max and replaced a 'dual run capacitor' which should cost between $100-$200 plus labor. They charged $586 and the bill was not detailed. I asked for the breakdown of parts and labor, they said they do flat rate billing. So in other words, whatever you feel like charging for that day?!?! This is bad business in my opinion.

My father, now elderly, always used this company. I've had my own home for almost 20 yrs, and needed honest plumbers and he said Call Biard & Crockett. They're honest and they do good work. He was correct, they are both honest, efficient & nice, and they made an exception to drive to my house many times which was probably out of their range.
This past weekend, they just helped my father's house last Saturday when Alex showed up to check water damage that was coming from his AC unit. (We didn't know that the water was coming from the AC.) He found it, was so nice, and patient when explaining it to my father.
Also, I need to thank Richard, the assistant on the phones that was extremely nice and professional when dealing with my requests.
The service is exceptional. They are extremely knowledgeable. They deliver when promised.
They have items you can't find anywhere else.
So glad they make my job easier because I KNOW I can count on them!

Biard & Crockett is the best stop for a do-it-yourselfer in Orange County when plumbing is the project of the day. The desk staff is extremely helpful when your project is slightly over your head and they are (in my experience) more interested in you getting the job done right than making a buck.
The most important thing to me is that they don't make you feel stupid if you ask a stupid question...which I have a habit of doing.
The prices are as expected and the selection of obscure and unique parts is impressive. If I could give them a 10 stars I would.
Great service from the start when I called for an appointment. Then I received a series of text messages and follow up email confirming the appointment. Prior to the project beginning Matt the plumber provided a detailed evaluation so I could make a decision. Follow up call was completed to advise the project was done. I have been working with this company since the late 90's and they are responsive and always get the job done and leave the site in immaculate condition at the end.

Biard & Crockett has been our Go To for Plumbing and Air Conditioning since 1995.
Very Professional! From the initial call to set a schedule to the workmanship that Eddy Array provided to the close out with payment that was accurately quoted, very pleased.
Thank you for assisting us with your commendable Plumbing and Air Conditioning Service.

Our toilet was making a howling sound when the sprinklers would turn on outside. No clue what's was happening. Board & Crockett came, assessed the situation, and repaired it very quickly. Very knowledgeable company and reasonable pricing.
Just walked out after a rude experience with bob. He couldn't even take his elbows off the counter and sit up to talk to me. Not good for customer service. Won't go back.
Worst customer service at the sales desk and this is not just from one experience. I've given them multiple tries because they are so close by but Everytime the customer service has been poor. These guys hate their jobs and it shows.

Biard & Crockett installed our mini split AC unit. It's a family business that has been in operation for over 60 years. All of the staff were courteous, and their installers did an awesome job, showing up on-time and on-schedule thru the course of the job. The project quote was very fair, and we dealt directly with Kyle, one of the two owners, who proved to be honest and fair. Our Laguna Woods HOA has a lot of hoops to negotiate, requiring electrical assessments, asbestos testing and abatement. When our unit tested positive for asbestos, the abatement bids we got from the HOA recommended company seemed quite high. Kyle immediately stepped in and negotiated with another abatement company, saving us $1100.00. He was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive whenever we contacted him. When initially attempting to reach out to other plumbing companies for bids, we often got voice mail messages. The Biard & Crockett office staff, on the other hand, was always available, immediately answering our calls and ready to respond to our requests or questions. I highly recommend this family owned business! You won't regret using them!
The quote was slightly expensive, though even if it was the cheapest quote, they way the technician snapped at me when trying to understand the quote, I would not have gone with their team nor refer them.
When asking how come the quote was significantly higher than previous times to unclog our sink with another company (twice the amount, I figured maybe there was an additional problem), he snapped at me and raised his voice saying, I'm not the owner. I don't make the prices so I can't tell you why they are like that he attempted to continue but I cut him off and asked again to please explain to me why they are charging this amount, what is going on? He then explained but did so as if I was an inconvenience to him. Never would I recommend them.
Their field techs are the face of their company, and honestly failed me after being in my house for only 5 minutes.
We used to Biard & Crockett for a leak that we had in our home in January. They were recommended to us by a family friend. They did a fabulous job, were efficient in their work and showed up on time to complete the work. We felt they were reasonably priced and wrwould absolutely recommend them to anyone who is in need of a plumber. Also the plumbers were extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
Had a water heater flush for maintenance purposes, and a water softener checkup. Discovered our 13 year old water softener was not working properly thereby causing water pressure issues. Problem was quickly diagnosed, options were presented, and work was completed the following day. Our tech was a young man named Matthew E and he was excellent in every regard. Super courteous, extremely conscientious, and happily answered our endless questions. Learned more from Matthew than 30 years of SEVERAL other plumbers who didn't care to be bothered with customer questions. Work was done quickly and efficiently and all our issues resolved. Very happy with our experience and plan in using B&C again. Thanks Matthew, you are truly a credit to your profession and also to your employer!!!

I wish I could rate this company with 0 stars. I called the company five (5) times in total out of which I spoke with Jeff three (3) times. Starting with the very first call this person (Jeff) had an enormous attitude towards me. The arrogant voice and tone, short answers, lack of empathy and ability to really focus on the problem rather to impose his I'm the boss here feeling. Not to mention the lack of understanding what the term active listener really means. Customer service is non-existent. For the past couple of days I called them again and asked to speak with him due to some follow up thoughts which crossed my mind. His secretary took each time my message assuring me that he will return my call. I'm yet to hear back from him---and today is the third day already. I would understand that he might need extra time for research but the reality is that he doesn't even know what my question is. Pathetic! It really makes me sick just thinking about the company. I would definitely not recommend them at all.
