Emilio and his service really lived up to the namesake of his company.

I had a straightforward clogged shower drain. Long story short: The cost was $150. (Which is great, considering that when I hunting around for other plumbing companies, I was getting quoted for less than $350, of which the plumber first had to come for a consultation, then book a separate date to actually do the work).

I made an appointment with Emilio and Awesome Rooter & Plumbing a few days in advance. Emilio arrived 10 minutes early. He had shoe covers and was very prepared. I thought I was only going to get a quote, but Emilio brought along his handheld drill-based drain snake. Emilio took a look at my clogged drain for 5 minutes, suggested we use his snake. He did it right on the spot, and it took less than 10 mins, and had my drain running smoothly again. 30 day warranty on his work. I would definitely recommend Emilio and Awesome Rooter & Plumbing for straightforward drain clogs.

Contacted this company last night regarding a backup that was affecting both sinks in our kitchen using the request quote form on Yelp. Sent a photo of our drain and pipe setup below our kitchen. Emiliano replied within minutes with availability and a range for an estimate. Provided a one hour scheduling window (AWESOME!) and showed up on time this morning. Cleared the clog and took a look at a faucet drip we were having in another room. Made recommendations on dealing with that issue. Was done within 45 minutes! Price was on target to original quote and communication was excellent. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Emilio's great!  I've had him do two different jobs for me on different occasions: 1. Cleaning out the pipes/drains for my kitchen & bathroom sinks and 2. Replacing my garbage disposal unit in my kitchen.  

Both times he was very professional, on time and personable.  I appreciate that he gives an honest opinion on whether or not work needs to be done.  Also appreciate that he took away my broken garbage disposal unit.  He's my go-to guy for my plumbing needs.

Emilio's awesome! I contacted multiple plumbers and Emilio was the first one to contact me with a quote. Other plumbers would require to be onsite in order to give you an estimate. Emilio was able to provide same day service as well! My poor granny accidentally flushed a spoon down the toilet... don't ask why lol... but Emilio was super understanding and he was able to fix the issue rather quickly. I asked for a quote over Yelp and he responded with a range of quotes according to what the issue might or might not be.  When he arrived, he openly walked through his problem-solving process with me, was extremely communicative of his findings, and was clear about what my options were.  I couldn't ask for better service than that - I will be contacting him again for any plumbing-related issues.

Emilio with Awesome Rooter & Plumbing knows how to provide customer service. I had a toilet issue and wasn't sure how to proceed. I rent and, unfortunately, my landlord already had a plumber they use so I couldn't use Emilio's service; however, this would have been my choice. Emilio is prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. After sending some pictures, Emilio provided me with an awesome and affordable quote.

We had water running under the kitchen faucet, it turned out to be a rusted through pipe. Emilio was able to drop by the same day, cut the old pipe, weld in a new one without a hitch. He even gave the faucet a quick tightening up, which fixed another minor leak.
Now we can use our kitchen sink again! Cant give Emilio enough praise for his professionalism, attention to detail and more then fair pricing. Id recommend him to anyone I know.

I contacted Emilio through Yelp to get a quote on repairing my garbage disposal. He responded right away letting me know that he doesn't cover my area (my bad for not checking), but nonetheless he sent over some advice and an extremely helpful instructional video.

He helped me make a minor fix to the disposal to hold me over until I could get someone in my area come to my home and replace it. I'm truly impressed by how helpful he was considering there was no way for me to compensate him for his time. If I ever move to SF, I'm definitely calling this guy.

Just had Emilio install a new kitchen faucet for us because our old one was malfunctioning and there was leakage under the sink.  Afterwards, we still noticed leaking under the sink, and Emilio came back and helped us correct the issue.  Each time we contacted him, he was extremely responsive and willing to work with our schedule.  He is also very clean and always wears booties in the house.  Reasonable pricing as well.
It was a real pleasure working with him.

I have owned this 120 year old house for 15 years.  In that time I have had to call many plumbers, and have had to get many drains rooted. It has never been done as efficiently or inexpensively as it was done today by Emilio. Giant rootball removed, drains flowing again. Great communication and punctuality. I will call Emilio again.

Awesome Rooter was the second company that came out to give me a quote on replacing a kitchen faucet.  Not only did Emilio, the owner, came out to give me a quote and did the job himself, his quote was cheaper than the other highly rated company.  Emilio was professional, responsive and did the job perfectly. I would highly use him again.

I am not sure I can give sufficient praise to Emilio but will try. Our water heater kinda just gave up last night. After a long night of mopping and trying to stop the flow, I yelped plumbers near Millbrae and found rave reviews for Awesome Rooter. I noted that the response time was within an hour so I called at 6:30am. Emilio politely and professionally asked me what had happened and after I explained briefly, he said he would be here by 7:30-8am. He was here before 7:30!  He suctioned out the remaining water in the heater and gave us a fair estimate for replacement and upgrades needed. Although he had another appointment this morning, he left then returned before 10am to complete the job and was finished in record time. This is my new best friend and we are so glad we found him. I cannot recommend Emilio more highly!

Emilio came out to record a sewer lateral video for me a couple of times.  Both times he was very professional and outstanding in communication.  He detected an issue with the lateral and identified exactly where the problem was.  He's clearly very experienced and price is very reasonable.  Definitely recommend him to everyone.

Emilio is my go to plumber. As a real estate agent I always need to find good vendors. It's very difficult to find a person/company who is committed to mastering their craft, attentive to their (and my) clients, and reasonable in their pricing. Emilio is all three of these things. I can call or text him and receive a response almost right away, and have him there and the job done shortly thereafter. Whether it's a big job such as replacing/repairing the entire plumbing system during a full remodel of a house or just installing a toilet and vanity, Emilio is always there to help. He never takes advantage of my trust and continues to provide reasonable bids for all his work. I've hired dozens of plumbers in the past, but Emilio was by far the best.  He responded quit to quote request, came our earlier than we originally planned and finished up faster than I expected!

I contacted Emilio for a garage washing machine water drain issue. He answered the phone immediately and let me know he was available the next day to meet our needs. I suspected the clean out would need to be serviced which Emilio took care of very quickly and at a fair price compared to others. He is friendly and worked very quickly to find the clog and took care care of the issue. We will contact his Company again in the future if we have plumbing needs as he was punctual, reliable and his rates are very competitive.

I found Awesome Rooter & Plumbing along with other rooters on Yelp. I didn't expect any major difference among them until I emailed Emilio. Not only he replied to me in a timely manner, he gave me a quote way before coming over to my house which normally most plumbers wouldn't do. Since his quote was the most competitive, I suspected his service might be less than par as I hired another nationwide plumbing company prior. After setting up an appointment, he was only 45 minutes late which was understandable when we dealt with plumbing. He was very kind and professional. I asked him a bunch of questions and he politely answered them to my satisfaction. He took less than an hour to unclog the bathtub. The best part was I paid less than 50% compared with the last plumber I hired for the same problem. If you want to work with a true no nonsense and inexpensive plumber, I highly recommend Emilio.

Wow, I'm a big fan. I called on Labor Day weekend (in 100 degree heat)  to have a barely-functioning shower head looked at, and Emilio showed up to my apartment (early!) within 3 hours. He fixed the shower head in 15min and walked me through what to do if the problem came back. He could so easily have said I needed a new shower head for 2x the cost and instead was super patient in explaining to me the fix that was needed. Will be calling him again for sure.

Had a drain clog for two days, requested a couple of quotes through Yelp and decided to give this company a try as Emilio was quick to respond.  Scheduled him to come out the next day.  He was friendly and professional.  Recently started up on his own after 17 years with another company.  He found our clean out and opened it.  After a couple of flushes, the problem actually resolved itself.  Emilio was nice enough not to charge me.  I hardly ever write Yelp reviews but I thought he was worth supporting.  Will definitely call him again for my next plumbing job.

If ONLY every issue in my house were a plumbing problem!!!  That is my only complaint' in working with Emilio-- that he has totally spoiled me and the rest of my SF duplex housemates and we don't want to ever have to call and deal with anybody else!  Truly, cannot recommend him enough.  But if you want more details...

I have read through the rest of the reviews on here as of today, and these glowing responses for Emilio's work and professionalism are no exaggeration and totally warranted for his:
-Outstanding communication, both the turnaround of any correspondence and his overall tone/temperament make it so easy to work with him
-His dumbfounding punctuality.  no, seriously. And that's *while* he's going above and beyond to make himself available on short notice and at odd hours
-Attention to detail and commitment to exploring all reasonable lesser invasive/involved options first
-Totally reasonable rates and policies
-Just a lovely person to have working in your home for any moments when plumbing issues  otherwise have you at your wits end!  

I have been informally managing an older duplex in SF for many years now and, to date, Emilio has worked in my house on three occasions. The first was a few years ago when a drain in our garage was backed up and flooding.  I don't even recall what the ultimate fix for that was.  (Emilio could probably tell you!  He remembered the project when I gave him my address for the second time I had to call him, years later!) The whole thing was awful.  I'm pretty sure there was sewage in our garage.  Emilio came out multiple times, and staying late into the evening to finish the job.  I'm so relieved that I saved his phone number (and that it hadn't changed) over the years for when I had to call him recently because of a really bad leak in my ceiling from a shower in a unit above me.  He was at my house within 24 hours and had the leak fixed within 25.  And now, most recently, he has just attempted Plan B in resolving another leak between bathrooms in two units. We are on Plan B and he has given us at least one more baby step Plan C before Plan D when he cuts into the ceiling of one of the units to get access to the pipes, etc.  He is also clearly not just nickle and diming us. He carefully shows and explains (in ways that a non-plumber can understand) the steps and gives us the option of how to proceed and he consolidates the incremental plans into his prices where reasonable (and it's been objectively completely reasonable).  These issues can be SUCH a headache and I'm just so relieve to be working with him and to have him as a plumber life-line for anything that comes up.  Thank you, Emilio!
