These guys are the real deal. I needed to get an old gas line plugged so I could have a new electrical oven installed. I called Monday morning and they had the job expertly completed by lunchtime the same day. The service was great, the electrician was fast and knowledgeable, and the price was much lower than the other two plumbers I called. I'm definitely calling American Plumbing next time I need a plumber.

My house was built in the 1940's and I have occasional issues with the systems. As a result, I've become very acquainted with plumbers, electricians, etc. American Plumbing is the best. They are used to working in old houses. Friendly and efficient. They are on time, they even call you when the plumber is on the way. Their prices are reasonable. I wouldn't use anyone else.

This is now our third or fourth experience with American Plumbing, so it was about time to say just how great they are. From the first call to the front office, to the service call on site, these folks are what good customer service is all about. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and very skilled, our recent experiences on the job with Matt, and then Pat, have been nothing short of excellent, and we certainly have the confidence to call on them again.
If you're on the fence about what plumber to call, I can highly recommend American Plumbing.

We've used American Plumbing for a number of years now and they've always delivered 100%. Roots in pipes, water main repair, pinhole leaks, shower cartridges, water heater replacement. Matt, Greg, Luis, and Gus have all been great techs. Gus just replaced our regulator and solved our hammer shock problem. Super happy with these guys.

We found our new Go To plumber!!! We awoke to a puddle of water on the kitchen floor coming from under the kitchen sink. Traced the leak to the faucet, and called the plumber we had used the last three times (also Yelp 5 stars) to have it replaced, but they could not have anyone out for three days!!!

My husband told me to find someone else, and thanks to Yelp! found American Plumbing here in town. They had Jason here within the hour. He worked really hard (we have an OLD, original 1918 Laguna Beach cottage, and everything is compact and non-standard). He did a beautiful job, left everything spotless, and the cost was very reasonable.

American Plumbing was absolutely terrific and I recommend them whole heartedly. I received a notification from Moulton Niguel Water District indicating I had a leak consuming a lot more water. Today, (the day before the 4th of July holiday), I called American Plumbing and within 45 minutes, Luis and Dean arrived. I had no idea where the leak could be so Luis started with the toilets. He immediately detected a leak in my guest bathroom. He replaced the parts and my problem was remedied, no more leak!! My water shut off valve in the garage was also not functioning. Luis and Dean also replaced that. They were very conscientious and left both areas spotless. Thank you American Plumbing and thank you Luis and Dean!!

Our second experience, called, they quickly made an appointment and came out and did a great job and one extra thing, at a great price. My insurance recommended another company and they were terrible, such a bad attitude, American is so different. I can only say positive things about them, my go to plumber! I have used American Plumbing a couple of times. The guys are always knowledgeable, prompt, and reasonably price. Most recently Gus came out and fixed a leaky sink drain pipe in the wall that was leaking into a downstairs bedroom. He did and excellent and fast repair. We had a slab leak in our kitchen. Richard & team came out right away. Found a way to get us water in a couple of hours! They returned for repairs 3 days later and were able to fix the leak with a creative way that did not require tearing into our walls or floors. They cut a neat little square to get to the pipe, fixed the leak and were out in 2 hours. We were fully expecting an insurance claim and thousands of dollars and house hardship. We had to withdraw our claim because we didn't even get to 1/2 of the deductible! Highly highly recommend. They are true professionals that care about the least impactful way to solve leak issues.

We have an old house. We had a leak under the house which necessitated holes in the wall and, new copper piping, toilets repaired, etc. It as a real mess. We have always used American Plumbing and once again they really came through. They fixed the problem, did an excellent job, and cleaned up everything. I can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic from start to finish. Our 10 year old water heater stopped heating water over this weekend. Richard phoned back in short order, and offered to have someone come out to look. Luis arrived within 1/2 an hour. He was professional and knowledgeable and wore a mask. We discussed options of repairing or replacing with tank or tankless. We went with a new tank. Luis picked up the tank and installed that same day. He was methodical, neat and very pleasant. No stress and we're up and running. American Plumbing is now our go to plumber. Thank you!

These guys are great! Whenever I have a plumbing problem they respond quickly, fix it, and charge a very reasonable price. Today they replaced a leaky hose under my dishwasher, and in the process pulled out the dishwasher and cleaned up a large amount of mouse droppings from a mouse who had been living under it. In my opinion this goes above and beyond what a normal plumber would do. I highly recommend this company.

First time using American Plumbing. Very pleased with service and price. Left a message after hours earlier this week and received a call the next morning, as well as a quote after I answered a couple questions and provided a photo. Within 2-days AP had a plumber at our house- on time- to replace our main isolation valve and regulator, at a very competitive price (at least 1/2 of another local plumbing company). Not only that, they replaced another valve outside the home at no extra cost.

Gus, our family appreciates your promptness and excellent customer service. As a Dana Point residence of over 24-years, you can bet we will be recommending AP to our neighbors and friends!

American Plumbing is the most professional, and trustworthy company that I have found and the people are just about as nice as it gets! Love to support family-owned businesses. I used to work for a bank that they serviced, and remembered how great they were, so we called them regarding a few issues on our condo. Rich, the owner called back right away, planned a time around my schedule and sent Gus to help us. Gus was so sweet with my toddler and our dog, and there was no running back-and-forth for parts. He was efficient and thorough and quite simply nice to talk to! We will definitely be using American Plumbing and recommending them in the future. You would be wasting your time if you called anybody else!

I have been using American Plumbing since I moved into my house 5 years ago...wish I would have had them when I did my remodel. First saw their advertisement for Little League and thought I'd give them a try.

They are awesome. Probably had them out 4-5 times. This time I had Thomas, very professional and pleasant to deal with. Fixed all the problems I had outlined. And at a very reasonable price. I enthusiastically recommend them whenever I can.

I could not have called a better business and Plumber. Richard is great. He responded to my message quickly -within the hour -and came the following morning promptly on Sunday of Labor Day weekend to fix my problem (he was handling an emergency home flooding situation when I called the night before). He was professional, fast and pricing more than reasonable for this weekend when others would have charged an arm or leg. I will never call another service again as long as this business is in business and with this type of quality service/referral that will be generated -I suspect a LONG time!! Thanks Richard!!

My sprinkler wouldn't turn off this morning without turning off the water to the house. I called American Plumbing and since they are closed on Saturday I left a message sharing my problem. I got a call back within minutes and they were able to tell me how to quickly and easily fix my problem without coming out and with no charge. Thank you - I really appreciate that!

Unfortunately this family business is a total let down. Scheduled a free estimate back in June of 2019. Rich came out did an estimate of $220 plus $125 of labor and told me to give Erin a call when I am ready to book. OVER A YEAR later in November of 2020 I got a bill of a leak detection. I called immediately and Erin said she had the wrong email and apologized. Didn't know I would be charged for a free estimate, she said they performed a service of leak detection. No documentation was given to me stating that I was getting a service done and I only had Rich come out for a free estimate. She said she would speak to Rich about the confusion and get back to me.

She never got back to me and sent our bill to COLLECTIONS! Rich never wanted to call me to clear up his mosunderstanding, Erin ignored my call backs multiple times. Go elsewhere for your plumbing services, this place is trash!! Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau since their answer is to improperly bill clients years later.

American plumbing is great. I read a bunch of reviews on next door for Laguna beach. I had Steven and Thomas show up an hour after I called. They fixed my small leak under the house and really explained to me all about my pipes and the water system in the OC. Super nice and honest guys. We will be using them in the future

Used American plumbing several times. They are always knowledgeable, have fair prices, and are honest with you about any issues and/fixes. A few years back, we were told by a Mike Diamond plumber that fixing the bathroom sink would cost at least $850... We called American Plumbing for a second opinion and were told that is was a pretty standard fix, and that the other plumber just needed to use a different tool, but was probably too lazy to do so... We recently called them again for a plumbing emergency (main line sewer back up) and they came to the rescue again! Thank you American Plumbing! Highly recommend!!

I am real happy with American Plumbing. They can out for a repair under my kitchen sink. I thought it was a pretty big leak and figured the drain was clogged. They took a look, determined it was just some old pipes with a few bad connections. They made quick work of it and didn't try to up sell me in any way. Jason and Todd did a great job!

I've use American Plumbing for over 3 years for any plumbing problem, from installing water heaters and water softeners to clogged drains and sewer line problems. They are responsive, efficient, reliable and reasonably priced.

I was extremely pleased with their work, trustworthiness, and prices. Richard actually explained to me why he why recommended that I NOT have a service performed when he could have made more money for the company by just going along with my request. The work I did have done was performed by Alan in a very professional and timely manner. I saved between 40 and 50% by having American Plumbing perform the work instead of Tweedy Plumbing. This was the most trouble free and and fair encounter that I have had with any plumbing company.

Called them on a Thursday. Have a leaky shower. Probably a valve. She asked for photos of the shower and promised a phone call the first thing the next morning. I complied immediately even though I was struck by them asking for photos instead of coming to the house, we are less then a mile from them. They sent a email late morning instead of calling like they promised. 5 days later no response to phone calls. I believe Caroline just doesn't care. Had to call another plumber to do the job after 5 days.

My neighbor used their services to attempt to unclog a drain. Apparently they weren't successful and in the process of trying to unclog the pipe, they got raw sewage all over the side of my house. I found that this is how they left it when the second plumber arrived. I am very surprised that they would be so haphazard in their work and not clean up the mess they made or notify me. This is disgusting.

I called them the day after this happened and they denied it, mentioned someone would call me back, and no one did. Disappointing service from such a highly rated company.

I highly recommend American Plumbing. All of the staff--everyone from the office staff to the field crew are very professional, responsive, nice and easy to work with. Pat came out first and installed a water pressure regulator (which, as it turns out, was a source of the problem) and he was very nice and efficient. We later discovered that the old regulator was still an issue, as it was somewhere on the property and not working (but causing an interruption in service) and impossible to locate. Rich came up with a solution that was logical and reasonable and completed in a timely fashion--I couldn't ask for better than that--quality, price and time--they checked all the boxes. We even had some creative digging to do and they had an amazing guy for that task as well.

Once again American Plumbing came through with rapid response and a fast fix. Found a puddle of water in downstairs bath this morning that appeared to be coming in under a wall. From the time I called till the plumbers arrived was less than 1 hour, and they found the source of the leak and fixed it in less than 30 min. American is our go-to plumbing company!

Our toilet was leaking and I called the office and told them it probably needed a new seal. The wonderful office lady said they would be out between 1 and 3 that day! The young man showed up just prior to 1 and fixed it very quickly and neatly. Very satisfied, we will use them again when needed. Thank you American Plumbing.

American Plumbing came to the house after our electrician drilled into our drain pipe while installing recessed lighting in our house. The plumbers came in and quickly fixed the leak with a coupling. So far so good. The plumbers seemed very knowledgeable and got right to the problem. We will use them future plumbing needs.

Wow, the guys showed up 10 minutes early, and were complete with the installation of two 75 gallon water heaters in three hours. One upstairs and one downstairs.

There was extreme care for my home. No damage to the walls, doors, casings Etc.. They removed the old water heaters, and left the surrounding premises clean as new.

As a licensed contractor myself, I am so impressed when the business owner ( American ) shows up with the employees and participates in the job.. They really care about the outcome and the concerns of the customer. GOOD JOB !
