Before anything else, I am a proud father to two of the happiest, sweetest kids. They are my motivation and inspiration for all that I do. I pride myself in being their provider and example. I do that by providing reliable and honest service to our customers.  I've learned in this industry, if you treat your employees great, they will in turn treat your customer great. Jay was straight forward and honest about what needed to be fixed and went about doing what it took to get it done.  He knows what he's talking about and isn't trying to BS.  Showed up when he was supposed to and kept me in the loop.

My heating unit hadn't worked in years.  Turns out it needed a small part replaced.  Other technicians wanted to replace the entire heating unit, which would have been 10x the cost of making that minor repair.

This company installed our A/C a few years ago at a very reasonable price. We have been happy with the unit ever since. Today we had an issue with our furnace  and called for service. They were prompt, polite and professional. Coy went above and beyond obtaining the part and returning to fix it same day. Our family is warm and truly grateful.

The best way to put it is that this company lacks organization. Had work completed at the house about 1 month ago (installed bathroom vents and an attic fan)and the owner scheduled a follow up appointment to come back in about a month. I was with him while he called his office manager and we scheduled an appointment for June. 4 days before the appointment, the office manager called asking to schedule a follow up appointment. When I mentioned that we already had an appointment scheduled, she seemed confused and then proceeded to tell me that they don't have enough man power to keep the appointment that I had scheduled a month prior. Bottom line, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Even though the quality of work is average, the business is not run well in my opinion. It's one thing after another and nothing has been easy.

This is only my 2nd air conditioning repair so I'm no expert.  All I know is this company is waaaay better than the first one.

Last year I had it repaired by County Wide Plumbing.  The guy was nice and said I needed 5 pounds of freon.  At $55/pound I accepted because I didn't know any better.  He also said I needed red dye test to find out where the leak was at another $95.  He then said I should call him if I see red dye leak out.  Of course I have no clue how to read red dye tests but summer is here again and my AC wasn't very cold so I called Specialty Air.

Specialty Air serviceman came and was very courteous.  He even wore shoe covers to protect my wood flooring.  After all the air conditioning is out in the dirt area and the County Wide serviceman made a mess of my wood floors when he left.  So I'm glad the Specialty Air guy was much more attentive to detail.

All in all he said nothing was wrong with my unit.  He said everything was fine.  He said there was no leak and that if there was it would be too small for any red dye test to show.   Specialty Air also added that the repairman should be the one coming back out to read the red dye test, not the customer.  Instead, he recommended a air sealant to find the leak and let it do a self-repair.  But he said at this point in time that's not even necessary.  Wow!  A repairman saying that a repair is NOT necessary.

He gave me tips on how to make the airflow in my unit better so I can cool down the house faster.  He also gave me the temperature readings from my AC unit output and input airflow and said that all is well.  But it could be improved by 2 degrees.  Lastly, he made me aware that the cap on the air conditioning unit needed repair but that it was optional.  He said he placed it back on it tight to make sure nothing was leaking.  

So that's it.  I just paid the flat service charge and now I know what to look out for if my AC unit isn't performing up to par.

All in all, Specialty Air isn't the cheapest.  But I think they are honest and do a thorough job of inspecting my AC unit.

I called Jay Taylor from Specialty Air to resolve an older heating issue I had.  Jay sent out Coy to look at the problem.  Coy came on time and was able to figure out the problem and resolve it.  I highly recommend Specialty Air.

These guys are great!  They show up on time, are very professional, and don't use pushy sales tactics.  I had them troubleshoot a problem that I was having with my A/C and my repair technician explained them to me - not just you need a new system.  In the end, I opted for a new system (the old one was almost 20 years old so it didn't make sense to spend $ to repair it) that was professionally installed at a competitive price.  When they were done, the place was clean and my new system worked great!

I would heartily recommend Specialty Air, Heating, and Cooling to anyone!

Great service, they were able to make it out today. Phupei was the tech and he found a bad capacitor right away and replaced it. The system is getting cold again and working well.
I would recommend them to friends and family. And yes, he wore his booties in my house, nice touch.

This is a 3.5 star rating rounded up. We called Specialty Air after a debacle with Econo Air and were blown away by Jay during his initial visit. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. He answered all of our questions and thoroughly discussed our options. After his visit we were sure we were going to use him because he really knew his stuff and he made us feel very comfortable.

Imagine our disappointment when we didn't receive a quote from him for over 3 weeks after the initial visit despite several phone calls and an email follow-up from us. He had told us that the longest part of the process would be him getting the quote to us, but I had no idea that when he said days at our initial meeting that it meant weeks. (One of those weeks was a heat wave.) It wasn't until I received the quote, that he told me his daughter had gotten married during that time. If I had known, I wouldn't have bothered having another A/C company come out. I mistook the silence from Specialty Air to mean they didn't really want/need our business. Unfortunately, the company that we had out after Specialty Air quoted us $800 less than for the exact same A/C unit, and we ended up going with them. If there had been more communication, we probably would have used Specialty Air and been very happy.

I'm so happy I called Specialty Air! Tim is very professional, and was extremely clear in explaining what needed to be fixed and why. He got the job done in a timely manner, and with a smile. The pricing is preset based on what parts are needed; it was nice that the cost of the repair just wasn't randomly made up which is what some technicians seem to do. Fixing an AC is never cheap, but I feel that we were given a very fair price. We received excellent customer service, and the job was done right. Priceless! I definitely recommend Specialty Air.

HUGE thank you to Specialty Air for saving the day!!! Our AC went out at about 4:30pm and with two kids under two and a party for our daughter's 2nd birthday on Saturday, we were sweating, and not just because our house was up to 84 degrees by the time Coy from Specialty Air arrived!  We had called 15 companies, practically begging to have someone come right away/after hours, and got the run around or an insane markup without immediate availability. Coy went out of his way to come over after another after hours appointment (clearly he heard the desperation in my voice!) and was so efficient, so nice, so knowledgeable. If you have an AC need in the OC area, these guys are awesome!

Everything you read below about how wonderful Tim is, is true!  My a/c went out during the recent heatwave, and I was picturing hundreds and hundreds of dollars to have it repaired (or even more to replace it).  A few minutes after Tim looked at it, he immediately diagnoses the problem as the cooling disconnect switch was somehow turned off.  He turned it back on, showed me where it was, and the a/c came back on.  So instead of the fortune I was afraid of spending, it only cost me 89 bucks!  You know that Specialty Air will be my go-to a/c repair from now on!  Thank you Tim!

I have used Specialty Air for the past 7 years and have been pleased with their service. On the most recent service call I asked about changing out the pump for the condenser and having the filter changed.  I was told the pump was $350.00 and the labor was $380.00 and the filter was $80.00.  Although I understand the cost associated with having to store parts until they need to be used, these numbers seemed a bit high.  With that I took the serial and model numbers of the pump and went to Amazon Prime.  Much to my surprise the price, delivered overnight, was $41.00.  That is a mark up of 7 times.  The filter, $30.00.
I then reviewed all of the old notes, should have done this originally, and found that the drain had been changed to a gravity drain so that the pump was not even needed.
I asked to just have the filter changed and the coil cleaned.  
Today I received a call from the owner saying that people change and that he felt his company and me were not a good fit and he was cancelling the order  After giving them 7 years of business I guess questioning his ethics on overcharging were not acceptable.  I suggest all future users question the parts charges.

Just had Tim come out and do a general service on our furnace. He was right on time, very friendly, and most importantly, did an outstanding job of getting our old furnace dialed in. I would highly recommend this company for all your A/C and heating needs!

We hired them to repipe our house after we had a water leak.  We paid them $18,000.00 Dollars for the job and to this day we have not received an statement showing the numbers  for the work done.
We had to pay another company to finish the drywall   We continue to call them and send them messages and no answer.
The contact person who came to the house was Scott. Never saw or talked to him Again.  We have copies of the check we paid to  absolute airflow.  

We are getting ready to take them court.

Unfortunately I'm out $680 because of dishonest employee. I called specialty air to come fix my air conditoner to cool my house down. The technician led me to believe leveling my refrigerant would fix the problem. After the technician leveled my refrigerant and charge me $680 he tells me I have to also replace my ducts(which cost thousands and I don't have) for air to flow properly. So that's when I realized there's no point in running air conditioner since its not going to cool down the house(I wished he would of told me that before hand or else I would of never agreed). So not only does my air conditioner not work properly but I now feel like I got screwed out of a lot of money and got nothing in return. I called back and spoke to the owner and tried to ask for a partial refund. I basically argued that I got mislead by the technician. The owner sounded like he didn't  care about accommodating his customers so I was force to hang up. I would never call them back or recommend them.

I moved into an older home and quickly realized I needed a central air unit badly. I checked with Yelp and picked the top four rated a/c companies in my area and called all of them for an estimate. Three of them came over and gave estimates. The first one which was the highest rated gave me a total run around and said I could not install the unit in my attic because there was not enough room. The other two said no problem with the attic, this was important because we did not want the unit in our garage. Then they took seven days to give me a bid for a unit on my roof I did not even talk to them about. I picked Jay from Specialty Air because he gave us a great presentation and answered all our questions. His bid was very competitive and we agreed to go forward. The crew showed up on time and completed the install in three days just like Jay said. Jay was at my house everyday helping and kept on top of his crew who were all friendly and did very clean work. They installed the unit in my attic, cut in new vents and placed the new condenser right where I wanted it. Installed new breakers and rearranged my electric panel for the new unit. I have been using the A/C and the furnace almost everyday now for several months and we could not be more happy with it. The unit works great, the install was beautiful, and he had the best price. You know when you try to fix things you can't, we'll specialty air was the place of business I decided to pick.  When I had called the lady that picked up, she was very nice and she answered every question. She  booked an appointment for the following day. When the technician came he was no less than 2 hours at my house and the air condition worked flawlessly after that. I would recommend specialty air to people with problems with AC and heating problems.

Jay and Tim at Specialty Air saved us over the last week during the latest hot spell.   After dealing for 3 weeks with Quality Plumbing and Air (see post) to still have my AC not working, I contacted Specialty Air for help on Friday.  Even with the hot spell, she was able to schedule me for a Tuesday appt at 3:30.   Tim showed up early in a professional manner with a clear explanation of their diagnostic fees and potential problems given my detailed explanation of a new unit and leaking freon.   After inspecting the new unit for any installation issues, he headed to the attic to identify a freon leak in our air handler (whistling sound on copper pipes).    Showed me the leak with a picture and proceeded to explain our options.  At that point, I called my husband so he was also clear on the details of the situation.   Tim sent over a job quote the following day and worked with Jay, the owner, to fit me into replacing my air handler that Friday.   They were scheduled to arrive between 9-10am but Jay called at 10am to state they were on their way but had to pick up some parts and move around the schedule to make sure our AC was working for another hot spell that weekend.  Two service techs arrived at 11am to finish the job in 3 hours in our attic.  They were polite and considerate that my attic door is in my walk-in closet.  They covered my clothes and all carpeting, no signs they were even there.  Tony even showed me that we now needed to fill a hole with Great Stuff outside by the AC unit to keep rodents out.   All of the individuals that helped us from Specialty Air were professional, responsive, reasonable, and service-oriented.   I even received a personalized thank you note from Jay.   We will use them for our future heating and cooling needs.  This redeemed our trust in well-run service companies.

What can you say about a company that shows up on time (actually 20 minutes early) and stands by their original bid even though the work took longer due to the age of the house and was more involved (going under and on top of the house)?  

The work was done in an expert fashion and they left the place clean.  Had a couple of questions weeks after the work was done and they responsed immediately.  The owner, Jay, defines the word professional and in addition to a very competitive price came a friendly and courtesy manner.  In the future, not even going to get other bids, just going to give Jay a call.

Great service, competitive price, delivered everything they promised!

I called Specialty Air in March for a quote for replacing my A/C and furnace, which was the original system when my townhouse was built, some 30 years ago. Specialty Air was one of three companies I received quotes from. Jay, the owner, came out and explained--in layman terms--how the A/C and furnace work, about the condition of the ducts, and the reasons he prefers certain brands of A/C: like reliability and a lifetime guarantee. Anything he pointed out that could be replaced or updated was up to me to make that decision, with no hard sell. His price was competitive, and even though he was not the cheapest, he honestly answered every question I had. The other companies  barely mentioned the fact that when installing a new A/C, you have to have it inspected by the city inspector, as well as another inspection called a HERS verification. Jay includes both in his quote, and he called and set up both appointments at a time convenient to me!  And, when a small adjustment needed to be taken care of for the city inspection, he called me and sent his guy over the afternoon after the inspector came, and took care of it! One other company barely mentioned the inspections, and had a pricey fee for just coordinating the appointment. The other quote never mentioned anything about inspections! Specialty Air also replaced and installed all the registers (those metal vents on the walls in each area of the home), which can be a pain to find when some are odd sizes. Jay and his crew arrived punctually, then he returned to inspect the work, both days. Then, as I mentioned, a follow-up call with the inspection appointments, and to see how I liked the system. Well, it works great! I'm almost looking forward to hot weather to see how nice it will be to finally have a properly cooled home!

Wow I won a Jackpot...what a great company.  I really appreciate the honesty and the good pricing on the service from Specialty Air, Inc.  Tim the tech person, he is the best of the best.  I do my research on Yelp to find a air conditioning company that will be able to fix my unit.  I find this company have 48 reviews well now will be 49 reviews.  98% of the review are awesome to great.  2 review was bad, but to my surprise the owner Jay answers the bad review and apologize to the client. That is first class act on the owner side, you don't see in today business.  It show how the company care about the customers.
I was worried that the cost of the repair will be so high, many of my coworker, friends, and family told me just be prepare for the high costs.  So when Tim come to the doors to take a look at the air conditioner unit, and find that is only the battery that need to be replace on the units (i don't even know there is a battery in the unit) with the cost only less than 150 with filters, I was so relieved.  I don't know anything about air conditioning, most other tech could just tell you anything to up-sale but not Tim.  That is a true honest service tech person.  Thank you Tim.  
To pay it forward.  I told all my co-worker, friends and family about positive experience with Specialty Air and Tim.

Jeff and Joseph came out and replaced all my old ducting this week.  They are so polite and always on time.  It was a pleasure to have them work on the house.  They are professional and do quality work.  Specialty Air also replaced my furnace five years ago and it has been working great.  I think their pricing is fair and I would always go back to them and highly recommend them to my friends and family.

As soon as we closed on our 1950's era home last month, we had Specialty Air replace the original furnace & install central air conditioning. We are very satisfied with the service we received and quality of their work.  First they removed the old furnace, ducts, returns and vents & performed asbestos abatement in the attic. They removed an old window unit, closed and patched all of the drywall. They designed the new heat and air system for maximum efficiency, placing each vent in just the right place to ensure full room coverage. The new furnace is now in the attic, which left us with sufficient room to build a kitchen pantry and the air conditioning unit is tucked away on the side of the home.

Jay Taylor is highly experienced, knowledgeable and professional and he is easy to work with.  Jay oversaw all aspects of the work that was completed by his team and he also coordinated with Tim Cox/Pacific Shores Construction (also EXCELLENT) to replace the original water heater with a new tankless system, upgrade electrical and plumbing and fully paint the interior and exterior of our home.

I enthusiastically recommend Jay Taylor and Specialty Air.

Nobody like paying for AC repairs, but at least Specialty made the process easy, and affordable.  The technician (Adam) was on time, polite, and explained everything to me very well.  He was honest, and didn't try to pressure me into a service contract, or into an entirely new AC system (which the house needs).  Anyway, great company, great tech, highly recommended (especially if you have a hundred year old AC unit).

Great service! If you are looking for an honest establishment then Specialty Air is your company. Jay Taylor truly cares about his customers, takes the time to explain things and never sells you on anything. I found Jay via Yelp and the reviews were spot on. When I called Jay to set up an appointment he was very flexible and cared most that the appointment time worked for ME. He was on time, professionally dressed, wears booties in your house (a nice considerate touch) and clearly outlines his pricing up front. As another reviewer noted Jay provides old fashion and honest service, a true rarity these days. And you don't have to spend a premium with Jay to get it. His prices are competitive and the service is top notch. I highly recommend Jay and will certainly use his services again.

I had multiple issues with my A/C fixed in April by Specialty Air. They weren't the rock bottom cheapest, but I'm convinced that they were the best.

Upon arrival, they were very careful about walking in booties during the inspection laying down blankets when it was time to work. They were very thorough in evaluating my entire HVAC system, came to correct conclusions the first time, and found parts for my condenser and my blower that same day. I could not have asked for more.

Jay came over to my house in Summer 2012 to examine our poorly performing air conditioning.   Our conditioning is well over 15 years old and needing replacing.  Jay laid out 2 different options with estimates for both options.  My wife and I discussed both options and made our choice and called Jay to have him and/or his crew come out and make the necessary installation.  Jay didn't respond until I kept persistently calling him & finally reached him by voice instead of by voicemail.  He stated that he was super busy and that he would get to us eventually.

Well, the summer came and went, and Jay was never heard from again.  He really ought to resign the HVAC business and become a magician, because that fella sure can disappear.  

I don't think Jay is a bad person, but his company clearly lacks the staff or the organization to keep up with his workload.  So his problem became our problem.  I gave him 2 chances to do business with us.  'Nuff said.

I got 3 estimates to replace an original 1960's furnace and asbestos duct removal/replacement. Specialty Air was the mid range price quote. I initially called them because of their reviews on Yelp, but I chose them for the job because of their professional presentation. Jay is great and the guys in his crew were clean, professional, they explained everything, took care of my floors and carpet, worked the whole time they were on the job. Can't say enough about them, highly recommended!!

I found out about Specialty Air Heating and Cooling here on Yelp and based on their positive reviews and good BBB rating, scheduled an appointment for them to diagnose and repair my furnace.  Specialty Air far exceeded my expectations and are the most professional and top-notch hvac company I have ever done business with!

Tim called me a half hour before the appointment to let me know he was on his way.
When he arrived I was pleased to meet a friendly and clean-cut technician wearing a clean uniform, shirt tucked in, and blue booties on his boots to protect my floors.

Tim was very thorough as he went through his diagnostic testing and identified a failed spark terminal on the (very old) ignition control board. Tim did not mind at all that I asked to watch him work and did a great job explaining things. Tim had a replacement IC board on his truck and was able to complete the repair during his visit.

The invoice for the service call, parts, and labor was right in the ballpark of what I thought it would be!

Most important - Specialty Air did not try to convince me the whole furnace had to be replaced or lie to me about the un-availability of a replacement IC board to try to get me to replace the whole furnace.

If you live in Orange County and need to call a professional and honest heating and cooling company there is only one number to call - SPECIALTY AIR HEATING AND COOLING.

The past week had set high temperature records, so our AC had been running constantly and just wore itself out.  Normally, we would sweat it out, but our 3-month old daughter can't take the heat.  With our thermostat registering 83 degrees, we frantically called several AC repair shops for help.  Only one of the 5 shops we called gave us a slimmer of hope -- Specialty Air.  The dispatcher informed us that she would do the best she could to find us an AC technician and within a few hours she had done just that.  One of their technicians, Adam, had called into dispatch asking for any emergency repairs and made time to come help us out.  We were told he would arrive at 3:30pm.  Not only was Adam right on time, he called us 10 minutes prior to let us know he was on the way.

He arrived and got right to work, diagnosing the problem within minutes.  He didn't have the exact parts on his truck, so he made a separate trip to the warehouse to pick them up. He was back in a flash and fixed the entire problem in minutes.  He was extremely thorough and took the time to inspect the whole system, including the intake and furnace.   He wore booties inside the house to keep everything clean. Keep in mind he did all of this in 90-degree heat without one complaint, plenty of smiles and stories about his family.  What a class act !!

In addition to the phenomenal service, the cost of repairs was very reasonable.  Adam left our house with the AC blasting and our daughter smiling.  He gave us his phone number in case anything goes awry after he leaves.  

We thought we could not be happier with the service, top to bottom.  Then, within minutes of Adam leaving our house, we received a phone call from J.T. at Specialty Air (who I believe is the owner) to ensure we had a quality experience.   We enthusiastically informed J.T. that the service exceeded our highest expectations.

One final note.  We had been using a different AC repair shop to service our unit for 3 years.  This shop had serviced my in-laws AC units for many years prior, so we have a history with them.  We have always been pleased with their service.  However, after our amazing experience with Specialty Air today, I think we have found ourselves a new service provider.

Hello and good morning! Why so cheerful?? Well, I just had the most pleasant visit at my house from any company that has ever been here for any type of service. I requested a visit to get a check up on my a/c units as we just moved in. I received a notification/text informing me that someone would be arriving at 9am. To my biggest surprise, I got a knock on my front door by Tony E. I was surprised that he was EARLY to get started as typically, company personnel are generally always late. He greeted me with a friendly smile and was eager to get started. I showed Tony where all units were located and he immediately got started. I was shocked on his level of professionalism as well as how friendly and informative he was. This is the reason why I am taking the time to write this review. The service industry needs more people like Tony. Absolute Airflow...... you did a great job hiring Tony, and if your other service employees are anything like what I witnessed today.... you guys just gained a customer for LIFE!!

This was the best service I've ever experienced from an A/C service. They really did their best to accommodate my urgent needs and were nice the whole time. I was in a time crunch with a house closing escrow, and needed some A/C-Furnace issues checked ASAP. I called and told the girl that answered the phone my concerns and that I didn't want to pay for a service call unless I understood what might be the problem. She got their technician, Tim, on the phone and he patiently discussed and explained possible scenarios to me. I felt comfortable that it was worth a service call. I needed him to come out ASAP, but they didn't have any appointments available that day. Tim said that if he was able to finish up his other appointments sooner than expected, he would try his best to fit me in. Thankfully later that day, he called and said he could come. How great is that? Tim turned out to be the nicest, knowledgable, most pleasant service provider. I asked a ton of questions and kept close watch on what he was doing (which would annoy most repairmen), but he was happy to explain everything, welcomed me to watch, and was just very honest about what was necessary and what wasn't.
I have dealt with too many slimy repair services that seem like lying crooks, so it is really refreshing to find an ethical business that you feel you can trust, and that have amazingly pleasant technicians. Their prices are not the lowest out there, but not the highest either. Worth it for the quality of service.

Called around and all other company's gave the run around or was a week out for a tech. to come see the problem. Called Specialty Air and was booked for the next day. Cory came out on time with the appointment ,  was very professional fix the problem in a timely manner. Service charge is a little high but still not bad for the service. This summer is going to be a hot one and because of Cory and Specialty Air we are set and ready to go!!! Thank you,

I would not recommend this company. First technician was sloppy. The real problem was the thermostat but after three tries, new control board, new heat sensor wire and a new thermostat, almost $1,500 later to get it working. While replacing board and wire, he didn't properly connect the wire, the second technician has to fix it later. Then he sold the annual maintenance which was a waste of $89. There was no maintenance done except taking pictures of the ducting.

We had our ac installed in the summer and just the other day had Specialty come out and repair an issue with our heat. We couldn' t be happier with the service as they were consistently on time and used those over the shoes footties every time they entered our home. Attention to every detail was greatly appreciated.
Also, careful attention with our indoor cats, making sure all doors were closed at all times.
You guys are great and will call you whenever we need any repairs on our ac or heating done.

One of most dishonest and unprofessional AC companies I have ever met and dealt with. Made a service call to them and they have $129 service call. They came to my commercial building and gave me an estimate of almost $2500 for the following:
$560 for recharging the gas which is normally $300
Replacing a blade which was replaced 6 months ago $670
Finding leak in the AC by just seeing oil on the ground  will tell you there is a leak and charge you $760, and at last clean the condenser for$350.
Now here why I realized who dishonest this company is , on the invoice it says that they changed the filter which was replaced two months ago and since the replacement I have not used the AC.
By the way other technician I called found out the the compressor was dead and no of the above was the problem .
I called the owner and he sent me a picture of a dirty filter from another job and tells me this was mine.
Don't insult me.i suggest that you do your homework before hiring these lairs.

Had Tim from Specialty Air come to do an inspection and preventive maintenance on our heating and a/c system the other day and he was very pleasant and informative, giving me some tips on taking care of my furnace.  He spent about an hour and a half checking everything out and make one recommendation, which I agreed on and had him do and now I feel confident I'm good to go for the long hot summer ahead.  Thank Tim for your help and doing a great job.

My father's heating and A/C went out.  Dad called a company he said he had used previously.  Someone came out to assess the problem and then got on the phone with me and yakked my ear off, using all the right buzzwords, but I don't think he ever actually told me what was wrong.  He gave me three prices to fix whatever the problem was:  the highest price, to fix it the right way, and two other lower prices to presumably fix it the not-so-right way.  The estimates ranged from $965 - $2,059.  My caution radar went up.  Even while he was talking to me I was online checking the company out on Yelp.  The reviews were not good.  So I did some more searching and found Specialty Air, with its great reviews.  The owner, Jay, came over, checked things out, and said the thermostat was broken and a new filter was needed.  He fixed it right away.  The cost?  $302.  Wow, what a price difference.  I love Yelp and I have added Specialty Air to my contacts for future reference.

Had a wonderful experience with Jay and Specialty Air.  They installed an a/c unit into our home two years ago and we haven't encountered any problems whatsoever.  It was a very quick installation process and they made it as painless and possible.

Our 1960s home needed new duct work and a new heater.  Upon further inspection, we found out that there was also asbestos that needed removing.  Furthermore, we also needed heating for the upstairs addition.  After obtaining quotes from several companies, we decided to call Specialty for one final quote.  Jay took his time in taking notes, assessing all the little details that the other companies just ignored or didn't think to include.  We were confident in his experience.  They also recommended an asbestos removal company.  From the beginning all the way through the completion, Jay and his staff were professional, courteous, and very attentive.  Occasionally when home improvements are done, unforeseen complications arise, and his staff dealt with them thoroughly and willingly, even though it took an extra trip.  Sometimes you don't really know how good or bad a company is until the job is done, but we are so glad we chose this company, who has exceeded our expectations.  No complaints whatsoever.   With any future heating and cooling concerns, we know we can call Specialty.

Jay was able to fit in a same-day $89 diagnostic visit and trace our issues to an intermittent faulty ignition unit electrical connection.  He clearly explained the issue, provided options and left the unit in working condition.  He also advised on filter maintenance and of course recommended we consider replacing the 35+ yr old heater.

My AC unit is 23 years old, Dave did all the right test and he was really honest. My AC is still very cold with no service needed just the normal filter change. To top it off I called at 1 to make an appointment and they said he could be at my place at 3pm. All the other calls I made to other repair shops had a least a three day wait time.

I check yelp reviews prior to patronizing any service business or restaurant but have never had reason enough to post my own lengthy review of a company until now. Based on a recommendation from a family member, I called Jay / Specialty Air because my AC was not working.  Jay was friendly and patient, taking the time to listen to the problem over the phone, and advised me of the cost up front to do a diagnostic as well as the levels of repair prices should the unit need repair, and then said he would be forwarding the information to a service tech that was out in the field to call me back personally for scheduling.  

I received a call back within an hour from Dave, and he had obviously received detailed information about my problem from Jay (because I didn't have to go over it again when he called) and asked me a few more specific questions to help him troubleshoot even deeper.  He was in the middle of a job but said he was more than happy to come out to the house later OR he could help me diagnose over the phone if it was an issue that could be solved simply and cheaply (for my benefit).  So, over the course of 4 phone calls where Dave was the brains and I was the eyes & hands up in my attic, we (well, Dave) diagnosed the problem and he instructed me step-by-step over the phone on how to open the panel, where things were located on my specific unit (note:  he didn't install the unit), how to determine the exact issue (even down to knowing what the 'flash codes' were that were being emitted from the light inside the circuit board to signal a problem), and determined it was the fuse that needed to be replaced.  

I'm guessing he spent close to an hour of his time over the course of the calls helping me figure things out.  After I popped in a new fuse, he led me through a series of checks that would determine what was causing the fuse to blow.  Fortunately, it didn't blow again after all the checks and the A/C was back up and running successfully for the cost of a new fuse, this guy's expert advice and the time he took to help a 'customer'.  So, we didn't get to the next level of troubleshooting at that time but he was ready and willing to continue.  There was no need at this point. I was getting cold air blowing in my house again and I had taken up enough of this guy's time (while he was working on another project nonetheless).  

Amazing!!!  I learned a lot about my attic, a little about the furnace and surprisingly that there still are good guys out there and old-fashioned companies that know their stuff, believe the customer is #1, and are willing to help (even when you're not yet a customer).  That goes beyond 100% customer satisfaction.  Well, I am a customer now and will call them for annual check-ups, when things need to be serviced, and will recommend them to any/all that I can tell in OC.

We just had Specialty Air here, namely Jay Taylor and his crew came and installed a new furnace for us. These guys were great. They did a fine job in a short time and we easily passed inspection.  

The new furnace looks great and works great.  The inspector was impressed and we would certainly recommend Specialty Air to any of our friends. The whole job only took four of five hours. They put in a new vent stack and ran a new control wired to the thermostat along with the new furnace of course. Jay also pulled the permit and arranged for the inspector to arrive the next day.

All of this went like clockwork. The entire crew was very friendly and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I could not ask for anything more than what they did.

I'm from out of town and was in town to look into replacing our furnace on a rental property.

Based on all these great reviews I gave them a call. What a complete waste of time.

They were supposed to come over at 1:30pm on Thursday to do an estimate. No one shows up

I called them at 2pm to see where their guy is. What a pain in the ass to go through their phone system and to find someone in customer service, only to get a message that the guy isn't available.

I called back 4 times and got the same message. By this time I'm annoyed because we're in OC for a limited time and was starting to run behind schedule.

Finally on the 5th try, someone picks up. They scheduled my consultation for Friday not Thursday. Our flight back home is on Friday. Why would we tell them Friday?

I told them thank you but we're not going to go with them at this point. I will say that the guy was nice an apologetic.

Ten minutes later I get a call from that guy again. The guy asked if I had called them just now and wanted to follow up. Apparently their phone system captured my phone number when I couldn't get a hold of them.

I told them we had just talked and reminded him that they scheduled my estimate for the wrong date. The guy was embarrassed again, apologized, and hung up.

What a cluster. So glad this happened now instead of later if we went with them.

Wow! Specialty Air saved us from this August heatwave!

This past week or so we have seen an annoying heatwave with temperatures of 85-95 degrees and it has been a killer! Of course our upstairs air conditioner would decide to go on the fritz now! UGH! We needed someone ASAP, so I turned to Yelp to find the best people for the job. The first place we called was booked about 2 weeks out, then we called Specialty Air but they couldn't come until the next afternoon. We decided to just wait it out until they could come because we didn't want to go with a company with lesser reviews.

In any event, the first impression was great! The person we spoke to on the phone that made the appointment was very polite and sweet.

The next day we got a call saying the technician was on his way. When Tim arrived, he was very nice and got straight to work. He quickly figured out what was wrong and was in and out in less than an hour. What was really great was that he had everything he needed on his truck and answered all of the questions we had! It turns out we needed a new filter and capacitor and now we are enjoying the cool air from our working air conditioner!

I have to admit, some of the poor reviews on here had me a bit worried that we might be overcharged or that they may be really late, but the price was beyond fair and they were even early (which we appreciated given the heat!).

I will be calling Specialty Air for any future heating and air conditioning needs and TIm deserves an A+ in my book!

Tim came over and looked at the system, and took care of the items I requested.  He also noted that the maintenance I had done on the evaporator coil (cleaning) was sufficient, rather than charging me the big bucks it costs to take apart and clean them professionally.  This saved me lots of money and the system is now working very well.  I will definitely have these guys come back for the spring tuneup and inspection.  I learned quite a bit too, and will be in a better knowledge space to replace this 34 year old system, when that time comes.

Nick came out to my house to flush my 2 year old water heater upon arrival he put on booties intruded himself and thanked me for inviting him to our home for services we had gotten with our membership. He began flushing my tank and while it was being serviced he  walked me through my entire house and we inspected all areas of the home which was nice because lots of the stuff we don't even remember exist. After inspecting everything he explained different options we could consider for upgrading our system all the way from a tankless with a great warranty and a home water filter. Nick was very knowledgeable and kind we gladly have him return for any plumbing issues we might have in the future. Absolute has always gone above and beyond to provide top notch service. If you're looking for a great company look no further.

It was our lucky day when our neighbor recommended Specialty Air. We finally had a/c installed in our 1960s home. The furnace and duct work had to be removed and replaced due to age and asbestos. They completed the job quickly, at an affordable price. All we had to do was set the thermostat and sit back and enjoy the cool air! Jay was fantastic to work with and I definitely recommend him and Specialty Air.

Our A/C was not blowing cold, and it's in the beginning of a heat way. I called Absolute Airflow and they had a technician out the very next day. David Mares came to our rescue. David was polite, professional, well dressed and very knowledgeable in the operations of A/C repair. He had our house cooled in no time. I could not be more happy with David and Absolute Airflow. Our shower broke, so we gave Absolute Airflow a call! They had Andrew out to our house the same day to assess the issue, and he stopped the leak that had started when the shower broke. When he returned with the parts, he did an amazing job: even though he had to cut through our tile (the other side of the wall is occupied by bookcases so he couldn't go in that way!), he repaired it to the point that you can't even tell there was ever anything wrong. He also offered to swap out our old toilets, so we went ahead and did that too.

100% would use again!

So, he came over (I was not home, my husband was) and after about an hour he told my husband that he could not fix our wall heater. Charged us $89.
Two days later, we have another company check the heater, and they were able to fix it, PLUS they only charged $80.

This review is primarily for their customer service and maintenance.

We had Absolute Airflow install a new HVAC unit in the house and they did a fantastic job. The staff was nice to work with and the end result was impressive.

When it came time to maintenance our unit, Absolute Airflow was advertising a special for $99 to maintenance the AC and look at the plumbing. We jumped all over it. When I spoke to the customer service representative, I told them I was having a difficult time locating the filter they used (14x25x4.5) online, and that we really needed to have one replaced. She assured me that there would be one on the car for me.

Well, the maintenance guy came out and did not have the filter, and had no idea one was requested. He said he would check their local supply shop, and after about an hour, he gave up. I called customer service and they said they would order one. That was four weeks ago and we haven't heard anything back from them. I ended up finding the part by myself and ordering it though a different vendor.

So in conclusion, their install team? Fantastic. Their customer service and maintenance team? Very subpar.

I found Specialty Air through Yelp and wholeheartedly agree with the previous 2 reviews.  Jay turned up on time, was polite and courteous and very respectful of the fact that he was coming into my home.  He arrived at the front door with an ID badge, in uniform and when I invited him in, the first thing he did was put shoe covers on so as not to damage my carpet.  I think that's the first time I've had that happen - and it's a very good thing!  He diagnosed the problem on the first visit and came back the next day to fix my furnace.  I feel like the costs were fairly reasonable but more than anything I'm happy with the high standard of service received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Specialty Air.

The team did an excellent job in repairing my A/C leak. I own a two story condo and my A/C unit is located on the roof. They were quick and efficient and doing the repair. I called Specialty Air the first time back in 2014 during a heat wave.  Temperatures were pushing 100 when my air conditioner flaked out.  As you can imagine, this was the worst possible time to have to call for service. All of the companies were overwhelmed, and many weren't even returning calls, but Specialty Air returned my call, and set up an appointment for only a few days out.  I was so relieved.  

Coy was the technician deployed for that first service, and he got me up and running that day.  He was fantastic. He took the time to explain exactly what was broken, and explained what he needed to do to fix it.  As a value add he even took the time to show me how to do a bit of troubleshooting on my own should another problem like the one I'd experienced re-appear (he showed me how to change out a fuse, and left me with an extra in case it blew again).  

Fast forward a year, and my AC flaked out again.  Once again, it was during a heat wave.  This time I ended up working with the owner himself, Jay, who was incredibly professional and skilled.  I apparently had another electrical issue that caused both my thermostat and the control board to blow.  Jay carefully diagnosed both issues separately to make sure both parts had to be replaced.  He charged me for the parts, but refused payment for labor because Specialty had been out to my place with such a similar issue before.  I was blown away, and incredibly touched by this honorable decision on his part.

Then a few months ago, my AC choked once again.  I had company just in from out of town, and, of course, it was pushing 95 degrees.  Coy came out again, and did the diagnostic work.  This time, he traced the issue to the electrical wiring that ran through the attic.  The wire was worn and frayed and it was causing a short that was triggering the issues.  In fact, it may have been what caused all of the problems dating back to the year before.  He called another technician in to assist, ran new electrical wiring, and got me up and running that same day.  And he didn't charge me a penny for the work.  Once again - I was completely blown away!

Troubleshooting an issue as complicated as this one is always a process of elimination.  It was a long journey to find the root cause of my air conditioner issues, but that's just part of the process.  Specialty Air took care of me every step of the way.  They stood behind their work and were more than generous with me.  This is such a rare trait in businesses these days.  Any shop can come out, diagnose a simple issue, and fix it.  But what about when your issue turns out to be a complicated mess?  That's when you want a company like Specialty Air.  They patiently and methodically worked through the electrical system of my air conditioner, using process of elimination troubleshooting, until they resolved the issue.  And they didn't charge me an arm and a leg through the process.

I really can't say enough nice things about the company as a whole, and about Coy and Jay in specific.  If you are looking for a company to service your air conditioner, look no farther than Specialty Air.  These guys are a class act.

This review is long overdue.  I want to thank Tim for the wonderful work that he performed to ensure that my wife and I had our furnace working again.  We recently purchased a home, and the furnace was not working unfortunately.  I checked many reviews on Yelp and finally decided to call Specialty Air Heating and Cooling.  When Tim arrived, he was very friendly, polite, and listened carefully to the issues that we noticed with the furnace.

He was able to identify the issue with our furnace fairly quickly and fixed the problem as soon as he obtained the parts.  There was a minor issue when one of his coworkers installed a part, but Tim took the time to resolve the issue at no additional cost to us.  He apologized for his coworker's mistake and took the time to explain what the mistake was and how he was going to resolve it immediately.  In the end, I was very pleased with Tim's service, and I will certainly call Specialty Air if I have any issues in the future.  Definitely ask for Tim!  He is awesome!

We are getting ready to do a huge kitchen remodel, and wanted to move our furnace from the kitchen to the attic, but didn't know if it was possible.  Jay met with us, walked us through every option, and promptly gave us a very competitive bid on the project (we got bids from other HVAC guys too.)  He didn't hem and haw and have to get back to us on the pricing. He's done this long enough to be able to know, from the start, what something will cost.  That was much appreciated.   Even better,  he was able to start the next day.   We booked his services and couldn't be happier with the results.

His team is professional, courteous, and Jay made absolutely 100% sure that we were satisfied before he accepted payment. This is a top notch company that explains in detail what they're going to do, follows through with what they say (and then some!) and is honest and responsive through the process.

Jay and his team are very knowledgable.  I was in the market for a new AC system. I was greeted with a smile and the earliest appointment for an estimate. I was very happy with the extent that Jay took to identify my needs in a system. He was observant and made excellent recommendations. I contacted several big box outfits for estimates and found that JAY was the most competitive and complete. I recently purchased a 1930 Santa Ana house that had a broken, forced gravity furnace, no A/C, and no ducts (they had been removed for asbestos remediation). When I was making an offer on the house, I needed to put very specific language in the offer because the sellers were going to replace the ducts during escrow, and I wanted to make sure they would be suitable for the A/C upgrade I was going to make. Jay spent quite some time on the phone with me giving me the exact language to use in the offer and even gave me cites to the State of CA Standards manual with minimum insulation and air flow requirements. I was extremely impressed that he took the time to help me in this way. The sellers accepted my offer, and I called Jay back to ask him to come out and give an estimate during the escrow inspection period so I would know how much money I needed to subtract from my down payment to pay for the new A/C and furnace. I was very disappointed to hear that they do not give any estimates for houses in escrow. So I got three other bids from HVAC contractors who had no problems giving bids on houses in escrow.  I ended up purchasing the house (the sellers gave me a credit for the duct work rather than replace it themselves) and I wasn't quite content with the three other bids, so I asked Specialty Air to come out (which they did, I think the next day) and they gave me a competitive bid. I was impressed with Jay's experience, knowledge, and patience in answering my endless questions. I wanted to see a copy of the optional extended labor contract, and wanted to see decibel rating comparisons, and wanted to use my own ZWave (ADT Pulse) thermostat: Jay was responsive to my needs, flexible, did research on my behalf, and helped me feel comfortable with my model/brand decisions. The job started on time and finished only one day late (which is practically on time for a contractor!) and Jay's crew was outstanding. These guys were extremely hard working, competent, respectful, and accommodating (there was other construction going on at the same time, and they were patient in juggling trucks in the driveway, waiting out power being turned off by someone else, etc.). They cleaned up after themselves every night. I have never been so impressed with a group of workers than the team Jay used. When it came time for the independent HERS tester (my efficiency was significantly better than the minimum standard, which on a 1930 house is astonishing) and then the city inspectors to sign off on the permit, Jay came personally and handled all of the details. Despite being disappointed that I couldn't get a bid during escrow, I am otherwise extremely pleased with Specialty Air and would enthusiastically recommend them.

I am writing a review based upon my interaction with Erica.  She needs to be retained.

I had decided to pick up the call from a number that had been constantly calling me for weeks now and never left a message. She was rude from the beginning and I had asked her to take me off the list like o had requested previously. We had no need for any service. She then proceeded to talk to me in a very condescending tone asking me when I should like to schedule the service for. After I told her I didn't need an appointment it went even further downhill. Her back talking and rudeness was unnecessary.

Suffice to say I won't be needing any type of service in the future.

Mario recently came out to my house for an annual furnace tune-up. He showed up on time and was extremely professional throughout. I have worked with this company twice and been extremely satisfied both times. They provide amazing service with personable technicians while also providing very insightful recommendations to keep your HVAC system up-to-date. The easiest $99 to spend a year is on their annual membership where a technician will come out during the spring and fall to ensure systems are ready for running AC/heat.

I live in Irvine and when the ac went out I started calling a few places to find someone to come out. Of course I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to any type of repair work since you never know who you can trust nowadays. I figured I'd check out Yelp and when I saw that these guys had a pretty good rating I decided to call them. My experience with these guys was awesome, they were very professional from the get-go and when the technician (Daniel) came out he diagnosed the problem, explained the issues and presented me with options. They ended up replacing my ac unit, the process was very painless and fast and Daniel was very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for repair work, these guys were fast and reasonably priced and their staff is very friendly. Thanks again guys for making sure I have a cool summer :)

The technician came and filled 4 lbs of Freon R-410a and charged me $485 for the refill.  He did not do any leak check in the system.  I later called another company also featured on Yelp.  I was quoted about half the cost for the refill.  Other people here must have more than pocket change.  I'll leave it to your judgement.

We have had years of problems with our upstairs air conditioner.  We have had many different repair men come and give us many different opinions on what the problem was. From minor solutions ( that never worked) to major ie. ripping out walls to repipe ( which we did not opt to do) Went on Yelp to find someone with a good reputation and found these guys...what a great company! They came out the next day and had it fixed within 1 1/2 hours! I waited a couple of months to make sure it was really fixed and we have not had 1 problem since! I am so happy to finally find someone who knows what they are doing and doesn't want to rip you off in the process! Jay was awesome and I told him I would give him a great review when he left, so here it is Jay! Thanks so much!!!!

I used this company when I had to make repairs to our heating/cooling system as part of a home inspection when we sold our house. Jay was very courteous on the phone, asked good questions, and arranged an inspection. He came over on time, was very friendly, gave us a fair estimate for labor and parts, and was back a few days later to finish the job quickly. I will definitely plan to use this company for any future work - very pleased with the experience.

No show! No call! (so far)

I called them on 9/16 and set an appointment for their first available date of 9/23. So far so good, and the girl that handles the phone was polite and friendly. She even found our info from the last time we used them (hvac inspection) 3 years prior.

On 9/22 I received a confirmation (voice-mail) that I needed to confirm the next days service call or they would cancel. I hadn't been warned of that when I set the appointment, and had I still been out of cell service (I'd been camping until that day) that would have been a problem. Also, at that point I was made aware for the first time that there was a 3 hour window for the service call. Would have also been nice to know that during the initial call so I wasn't rearranging my work schedule the at the last minute. No big deal though.

9/23, the technician called me at 9:55a to let me know he'd be here in 20 minutes. At 10:48a I called him to see if he needed directions or was caught up (no answer). At 11:01 I called the office, explained that the tech had called earlier telling me he was 20 minutes out and was MIA. The girl that works the phone apologized and said she'd follow up and her or the tech would call me.

It is now 12:20p, I haven't heard from anyone. I called the office again and again the girl was apologetic.  She said there had been a huge mix up; when I asked she said the girl who set my appt sent the tech to the wrong service call. And that he was on his way now...  

We'll see how the rest of this goes.

I found Specialty Air through yelp, but I didn't quite trust the reviews (since the reviewers had only written 1 review), but I did some more investigation elsewhere, including the BBB.  I hired Jay to replace our 40-year old furnace with a new energy efficient model, with a tight timeframe - I called him on Dec 28, and the install had to be completed by the 31st to get the tax credit.  He came by that day, gave a good estimate, and they were there the next day to install it.  He said they would show up between 8:30 and 9:30, and they rang our doorbell at 8:31.  The service was great, his crew was good and very helpful, and I'm really satisfied overall.  Cost was very competitive, I probably could've saved a couple percent if I shopped around a bunch but am extremely happy with what I got for what I paid.

Just had Specialty Air come by and check out my a/c unit. It was making a mysterious rattling sound.

Jay (owner of the company) was professional, nice, efficient, and honest. I explained the issue. He ran several tests and diagnostics before pinpointing the source. Through the process, he serviced the unit and made a few handy improvements.

At the end of the appointment, he provided me with detailed notes and a thorough explanation of the issue and what was fixed.

This company lacks in customer service and professionalism, moments ago I received a call and because I wasn't interested the lady disconnected with a proper ending; she straight hung up the phone in my face - I called her back to school her because I wasn't rude to her. Before the the incoming heat waves gets unbearable, we decided to have Speciality Air fix our AC that wasn't cooling. The technician that came out was courteous, friendly, and very informative! The back up drain for my AC was dripping rusty water...  I called Specialty Air and they came out the next day.  The main drain was clogged.  The price was reasonable and the service was fast.  The tech was polite and gave me follow up tips to keep my system running well.

We had a great experience with Specialty Air!! Originally called for service to see why we were not getting any cold air from our vents. And having a new 3 week old baby needed someone out quickly... Cory came out, and he was even earlier than he said he would be. He fixed the problem, we had cool air and all was great. Two days later we had the same issue with no cool air. I called them again and Cory came back out that same day(again earlier than they originally quoted me) He said we were then going to need a whole new AC unit, that the unit had died... Mind u the original unit was 25+ years old. :/ After the initial reaction to hearing that news, he told me they would credit the work done from the previous call to the new unit. (Hey at this point any little bit was going to help!!) I was pleased to hear that of course. 3 days later two guys came out (sorry don't remember their names) to replace the unit, furnace, and ducting for our new AC unit. They were both also very nice and took care to make sure they kept things clean both during and after they were done with the install.
Jay the owner even came out to the house to see not only how things were going, but to check the work his guys were doing. I could tell he wanted to make sure I was going to be completely satisfied with everything. Needless to say I was. Everyone I dealt with including the woman who answered the phone when I called the second time was professional, and they all took my time into consideration! Keep doing what u guys are doing! We will definitely recommend Speciality Air to anyone who asks! :)

Just when I thought I could get away from having a new AC installed, Indian Summer arrived.  Jay, Tim, Justin and Tony were just wonderful folks to work with. Within days from the service call, they installed a Goodman Air Conditioning System and added new thermostat. It wasn't a walk at the beach, let me tell you, since my property was built in the late 70's, to top it off, it was high noon and 90 plus degrees -- I could almost feel the beads of their sweat come into contact with my roof top. But no, not a single complaint for these gentlemen.

Thank you, guys, for being punctual and efficient.

This is my second time doing business with  this company and I would  highly recommended to friends and families.

This company is amazing! We had been having issues with our AC during the most recent heat wave and called a well known HVAC company to check it out. They came the next day, took a 10 min look at our system and said we need a whole new one. They quoted $16,000 (I'm not joking with this amount) and left. Taken a back from the quote I turned to Yelp for a second opinion and found Specialty Air. They scheduled an appointment for the next day and Tim was at our home right on time. He was very friendly and professional, took the time to explain what was going on with our system and remedied the problem for $500!!! I literally couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend them for any HVAC issues.

I had him come out a while ago... and the blower I had was not working well. He was honest, took the blower back to his shop, and fixed it all for a very reasonable price, and it is still working... so far spared me a 10k+ expense for the last two years. Thank you!

Our location had an issue with the thermostat.  I had a  repairman  from Specialty Air access the situation first thing in the morning and he resolved our issue immediately.  The prices were great, staff was reliable and knowledgeable. We have had a good experience with Absolute. We recently installed the HVAC system with them. It was installed thoroughly and promptly. The staff was very prompt in addressing any concerns/questions we had. In particular Maria, the project manager, always responded to our questions and needs right away, giving us accurate information, and following through on what she said would be done. The crew that came and installed the HVAC was very professional and thorough. We received compliments from the city inspector stating that our air ducts were beautifully organized and placed. We are extremely happy with the AC system and service overall. The price was a very good deal. I would trust Absolute with any future services.

The pilot light in my heater kept going out.  Since it has been cold I called in the specialists.  It was easy to make the appointment for a convenient time and, for the first time ever in the history of repair men, the service tech was on time!!!  The tech looked at my furnace and found that there was a sensor that needed cleaning.  He cleaned it and put it back together and the furnace has been perfect ever since.  I appreciate Tim's honesty.  He has earned a lifetime customer.  I would not hesitate to recommend Specialty air to friends and family.

If I could give a zero, or even a negative number, I certainly would.  Our air stopped blowing cold air last week.  My wife called Absolute Airflow and they agreed to be out that afternoon, to check it out.  The Tech arrived, or should I say salesman.  He was on the roof for about 5 minutes, in his neatly pressed white shirt.  He advised my wife that the entire unit was shot and we would need a complete replacement.  And, shockingly, he could get it done for about $17,000.  My son, who is not an A/C guy went on the roof to check it out.  Within minutes, he advised the turbine fan that blows into the house is not spinning.  He manually spun it and it started.  But each time the air shut off, it would have to be manually started again.  We called another company, who came out the next morning.  Advised us the capacitor was bad.  Within 15 min of being there, he had it replaced for $200.  Cleaned the coils for us and was on his way.  He said we still had quite a few more years with this unit.  We will definitely never use Absolute Airflow again, and will keep our 2nd opinion guy on hand.

Saved me! Great work! Great service! I had Tim out because my outside unit wouldn't power on, it was a tricky fix but he was able to fix it within an few hours. He had the parts on his truck so before the HOT upcoming weekend he fixed it without having to return. In addition to Tim being great, the service setting up the appointment was easy and they were very friendly. I found them just by going to yelp so I hope you give them a try too.

I used this company based on its yelp reviews. The technicians were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had a very old furnace system that needed to be replaced. We called specialty air explaining what our needs are. We needed a new furnace and coil replacement. The technician came out for a estimate, and emailed us that same day with what the cost would be. The day of instillation they showed up 1/2 hour early and got to work. Thanks to Robert Hartsfield & Jay Taylor for helping us out. The staff is very professional and friendly.

My furnace and air conditioner recently needed to be replaced.  Jay Taylor was professional, returned my calls promptly and arrived when he said he would.  His quoted price for both units was lower than two previous quotes I had received a couple years ago.  
The price included labor and tax, so there were no surprises at the end.  He was patient and helped me thoroughly understand my options and the meanings of the different efficiency level ratings.
On the day of the installation, his crew was prompt,  contentious and clean, and Jay was there at the beginning and the end to make sure everything was done correctly.   I highly recommend Specialty Air.
